France Builds Trump-Style Wall to Stop Illegals Getting to Britain

French authorities have built a ten-foot wall at a Total station in Calais used by migrants who attempt to storm lorries and break into Britain.

The barrier is being erected at a petrol station in the Marcel-Doret area where lorries stop to fill up with fuel before heading to the port and onwards to the United Kingdom. It is set to be finished by mid-February.

Local prefect Fabien Sudry told Nord Littoral that “smuggling networks meet there and take advantage of stations near the port to get migrants in trucks.”

“The situation was rather tense at this station. The police regularly had stones thrown at them,” Mr Sudry said.

A Total spokesman confirmed the barrier was built at the request of the Calais prefecture to “protect customers, staff, and migrants,” the Daily Mail reports, with locals comparing it to the wall that U.S. President Donald Trump wants to build along the southern border of the United States to stop mass illegal migration from Central and South America.

Pro-migration aid workers object to the wall, as the barrier between the two spaces is “divisive.”

One Calais-based charity worker who wished to withhold their identity complained: “The wall is ugly and of course divisive.”

“This is very political — it aims to show desperate people that they are not welcome here, and that more and more walls and police will be used to keep them out.

“If you oppose such policies, you can get into a lot of trouble.”

There are an estimated 600 mostly male migrants hailing from Afghanistan, Iran, and Syria squatting in makeshift camps around the port town waiting to break into Britain — down from an estimated 10,000 during the heyday of the infamous “Calais Jungle”.

It is believed to be the first time that a wall has been so quickly erected in a hotspot area for trafficking with the intention of stopping migrants attempting to make the journey to the United Kingdom.

Illegal migration to Britain via France has been in the British headlines for nearly three months after more than 500 migrants have attempted to cross the English Channel by sea, with three boats arriving on the Kent coast on Sunday alone.

Tens of thousands enter or attempt to enter by stowing away in cars, goods vehicles, and ferries every year, with some even attempting to traverse the Channel Tunnel on foot.

WATCH: Bus Unloads Migrant Group to Cross Unsecured Border Section in Arizona

Tucson Sector Border Patrol camera operators captured video of a bus dropping off a group of migrants at an unsecured portion of the border in southwest Arizona last week. The migrants quickly exit the bus and cross where no barrier exists to stop them.

The Border Patrol video, reported by NBC News’ Gabe Gutierrez and Annie Rose Ramos, shows a bus approaching an unsecured portion of the Arizona-Mexico border during the early morning hours of January 14.

“He (the camera operator) saw a bus stop on the Mexican side of the border,” Ajo Station Chief Fernando Grijalva told Gutierrez “The bus driver got out, opened the doors and then proceeded to have approximately 80 people exit the bus and cross into the United States illegally.”

“This is a crisis,” Grijalva stated in reference to the large numbers of migrant families and unaccompanied minors who are now illegally crossing the border in record numbers.

As Border Patrol camera operators watched, 84 migrants exited the bus and simply walked across the unsecured section of the border and illegally entered the U.S. The video concludes with ground-based Border Patrol agents arriving to apprehend the migrants.

It is apparent in the video that young children are part of the group being dropped off in the middle of the desert.

The outdated barriers in this region provide human smugglers with an easy solution to moving their human cargo across the border.

Tucson Sector Acting Chief Patrol Agent Jeffrey Self also responded to a question about a crisis from Gutierrez. “Is there a crisis on the border?” Gutierrez asked “Yes, there is,” the chief responded emphatically.

This portion of the Tucson Sector, located in the Organ Pipe Cactus National Park, is protected only by a small barbed-wire fence and an outdated vehicle barrier that does nothing to stop pedestrian crossings.

When Gutierrez asked the chief a politically charged question, “Is the stand that the president is taking with it?” Chief Self responded with a non-political answer, “I can only tell you from focusing on field operations that border security is imperative to this nation.”

On the same day as this illegal border crossing, Yuma Sector Border Patrol agents faced the crossing of the largest single group border crossing when 376 migrants exploited weaknesses in the old barrier technology to enter the U.S., Breitbart News’ Robert Arce reported. The 376 migrants managed to dig under the fence which does not have a concrete underground base utilized in newer barriers.

Due to the large numbers in this group and the time it takes to process minors and family units, Border Patrol officials were forced to bring personnel from surrounding locations to assist. This opens up other areas of the border to be exploited by drug smugglers.

The Art of the Deal requires two parties who actually want a deal

Now that the halfway point of Donald Trump’s first term in office has officially come and gone, the Washington media crew has been scrambling to find some way to commemorate the occasion, define the results of the first two years and make projections as to the next two. In nearly all cases, this means identifying some catchphrase to cast the administration in the worst light possible. That’s the theme we’re seeing from Philip Rucker at the Washington Post (among others) in what apparently passes for clever commentary these days.

Trump ran for office on the premise that he would be able to get things done because of his extensive history in cutting deals, primarily in the real estate game. Heck, the guy even wrote a book titled The Art of the Deal, so it’s certainly fair game for criticism. But Rucker has decided to take the lack of any sort of dealing on the part of Nancy Pelosi as a sign that the Great Dealmaker isn’t so great at making deals.

Trump’s management of the partial government shutdown — his first foray in divided government — has exposed as never before his shortcomings as a dealmaker. The president has been adamant about securing $5.7 billion in public money to construct his long-promised border wall, but he has not won over congressional Democrats, who call the wall immoral and have refused to negotiate over border security until the government reopens.

The 30-day shutdown — the impacts of which have begun rippling beyond the federal workforce into the everyday lives of millions of Americans — is defining the second half of Trump’s term and has set a foundation for the nascent 2020 presidential campaign.

It’s absolutely true that President Trump has not had the amount of success in coming to agreements across the aisle that he seemed to anticipate. Whether that was a case of naiveté on his part or simply too much optimism we’ll likely never know. But pushing this theme without context is a seriously dishonest way to approach political analysis. Allow me to explain.

The first thing to remember is that there is a vast chasm between how businesses operate in the private sector and how the government works. (Please notify me in advance if I’m awarded the Understatement of the Year Prize for that last sentence so I can get my tux to the dry cleaner in time for the ceremony.) The fact is that Donald Trump comes from a business world where deals are arranged between parties who share a mutual objective. They wouldn’t be at the table unless they thought there was a profit to be had and that their opponent was a likely vehicle to achieve that goal.

Dealing in the private sector generally doesn’t involve people who hate each other or are seeking the destruction of their opponent. The parties involved certainly want to get the “better deal” so they come away as a winner, but there’s no final deal without both of them getting something they want unless one of them is a garden variety moron. Everyone approaches the table hoping that a deal will, in fact, be made and that they maximize their profit from it.

That’s not the case in Washington. Nancy Pelosi has no personal skin in the game as to whether a wall is constructed, the dreamers get a reprieve or anything else currently under discussion. Her “profit” doesn’t come from getting something accomplished. What matters is the political “victory” of denying something to her opponent (in this case, Trump) and revving up her base with her bravado. She can declare every offer from President Trump to be “a non-starter” as she did with this one and head straight for the MSNBC cameras looking like a winner.

The Art of the Deal only works when people are actually interested in a deal and have something to lose or gain from the negotiations. When all your opponent has to offer are poison pills, the outcome will always be sickening.

Police: Man Used ‘Fortnite’ Game to Lure Teens for Sex

A Florida man allegedly used popular video game Fortnite to lure at least 20 teenagers to his house for “sexual activities.”

According to Fox 5 Atlanta, 41-year-old Anthony Thomas has been “accused of using the popular video game Fortnite to lure teens for sexual activities,” where he offered a 17-year-old girl “money and gifts for sex.”

“Authorities tracked the victim down to the man’s home after her parents reported her missing,” Fox 5 Atlanta reported. “Deputies believe there are at least 20 other victims.”

Thomas is reportedly being charged with 22 counts of child pornography, “unlawful sexual activity with a minor,” and several other crimes.

“This case is disturbing not only because it involves child pornography, but also because a popular online game was used to communicate with the victim,” declared Attorney General Ashley Mood. “We have reason to believe there could be additional victims, and I am asking anyone with information about the recruiting of minors for child pornography, or any other type of sexual exploitation, to call law enforcement immediately.”

“Additionally, parents need to know that predators will use any means possible to target and exploit a child,” Mood continued. “I am asking parents and guardians to please make sure you know who your children meet online, and talk to them about sexual predators.”

In May, the NSPCC warned parents of the dangers of Fortnite‘s chat systems, which has led to children being contacted by strangers, and in September, a report claimed child predators were using Fortnite, among other apps and platforms, to lure victims.

Michael Buchanan, who goes by the stage name ‘House Shoes,’ is a Detroit-born hip hop producer and DJ working and living in Los Angeles who made a series of terrorist threats from his bluecheck, verified Twitter account over the weekend.

Mr. Buchanan, 45, took to his Twitter account this weekend and called for the Covington Catholic children to be burned alive: “LOCK THE KIDS IN THE SCHOOL AND BURN THAT BITCH TO THE GROUND.”

Buchanan also called for mass shootings of Trump supporters in a series of tweets: “If you are a true fan of Shoes I want you to fired on any of these red hat bitches when you see them. On sight.”

Mr. Buchanan also called for mass shootings of Trump supporters and presumably the minor Catholic teens.

“I want you to fire on any of these red hat bitches when you seen them. On sight,” Buchanan tweeted.

The ‘House Shoes’ Twitter account was reported by hundreds of people after a huge backlash, however; Twitter responded to the reports and said his Tweets do not violate their ‘Terms of Service.’

At the time of this publication, the Twitter account and threatening tweets are still up.

“Thank you for your recent report. We have reviewed your report carefully and found that there was no violation of the Twitter Rules against abusive behavior,” Twitter said in responses to reports against the ‘House Shoes’ account.

The Los Angeles Police Department and the FBI were flooded with phone calls and emails from people reporting Mr. Buchanan’s terroristic threats.

Mike Cernovich confirmed the LAPD is investigating the death and arson threats Mr. Buchanan made against young children.

Twitter is allowing verified, blue checkmark accounts to call for the murder, targeted harassment and violent assault of these minor high school children.

Twitter took no action against Jack Morrissey, a Hollywood Producer who took to his Twitter account and called for the Catholic teens to be murdered in a violent, gruesome manner by being thrown into a woodchipper.

Failed actor and ‘comedian’ Ben Hoffman, who goes by the stage name ‘Wheeler Walker Jr.,’ called for violent sexual crimes to be committed against the minor teens and even offered a reward to whoever can stalk and find the minor child and “punch him in the nuts.”

Blue Checkmarks Delete Tweets Defaming Covington Catholic Kids After Footage Shows They Were Not Aggressors

When an edited clip of Catholic teenagers surrounding a Native American man first emerged, it was billed as evidence of racist high school students harassing an Indigenous person.
Journalists, celebrities, and others with blue checkmarks on Twitter rushed to condemn the kids as racists, even though it was clear from the beginning that something was amiss.

Aussie Man Reported To Twitter For Death Threat Against Shapiro. Twitter’s Response: Crickets.

On Friday night, an Australian man, responding to Daily Wire-Editor-in-Chief Ben Shapiro’s comments at the March For Life in which he said it would be immoral to kill any baby based on future actions that child would commit as an adult, issued a death threat against Shapiro on Twitter, writing, “I don’t know if I would kill baby Ben Shapiro if I could travel through time, or just through space to his next event.”

Social media mob threatened two different teens and their families over incident near Lincoln Memorial

Jazz wrote about the media response to this incident earlier. I wanted to focus on the social media aspect of this incident. As soon as a clipped video of the confrontation between a Native American man with a drum and a high school student began circulating, the left began seeking a way to punish the high school student, his family, his school, and even the school’s president. The problem was that no one knew on Saturday who the student was.

As the Washington Examiner reports, amateur internet sleuths quickly decided his name was Michael Hodge. And once they had a name, the desire to punish Hodge for his sins took over. Yesterday Andrew Hodge, Michael’s older brother described what happened to his family: “People then proceeded to spam my family with harassments and threats of physical violence.”

In addition to the threats and abuse directed toward Michael and his family, some creative members of the mob set about trying to destroy his future prospects by contacting the college he plans to attend and calling him a racist.

The irony is that the mob doing all of this is angry because Michael Hodges is (supposedly) a bad person. In reality, it’s the members of the mob trying to destroy him who are terrible people.

Sunday, the teen who actually appeared in the video released a statement which revealed his real name was Nick Sandmann.

Sandmann’s statement says in part:

I am the student in the video who was confronted by the Native American protestor. I arrived at the Lincoln Memorial at 4:30 p.m. I was told to be there by 5:30 p.m., when our busses were due to leave Washington for the trip back to Kentucky. We had been attending the March for Life rally, and then had split up into small groups to do sightseeing.

When we arrived, we noticed four African American protestors who were also on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. I am not sure what they were protesting, and I did not interact with them. I did hear them direct derogatory insults at our school group.

The protestors said hateful things. They called us “racists,” “bigots,” “white crackers,” “faggots,” and “incest kids.” They also taunted an African American student from my school by telling him that we would “harvest his organs.” I have no idea what that insult means, but it was startling to hear.

To drown out the insults directed at them and with the permission of an adult chaperone, the students began chanting some of their school chants.

After a few minutes of chanting, the Native American protestors, who I hadn’t previously noticed, approached our group. The Native American protestors had drums and were accompanied by at least one person with a camera.

The protestor everyone has seen in the video began playing his drum as he waded into the crowd, which parted for him. I did not see anyone try to block his path. He locked eyes with me and approached me, coming within inches of my face. He played his drum the entire time he was in my face.

I never interacted with this protestor. I did not speak to him. I did not make any hand gestures or other aggressive moves. To be honest, I was startled and confused as to why he had approached me. We had already been yelled at by another group of protestors, and when the second group approached I was worried that a situation was getting out of control where adults were attempting to provoke teenagers…

During the period of the drumming, a member of the protestor’s entourage began yelling at a fellow student that we “stole our land” and that we should “go back to Europe.” I heard one of my fellow students begin to respond. I motioned to my classmate and tried to get him to stop engaging with the protestor, as I was still in the mindset that we needed to calm down tensions.

The teen’s statement closes by showing respect for the rights of others, in particular, the Native American man who confronted him, despite the death threats he and his family have received.

I harbor no ill will for this person. I respect this person’s right to protest and engage in free speech activities, and I support his chanting on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial any day of the week. I believe he should re-think his tactics of invading the personal space of others, but that is his choice to make.

I am being called every name in the book, including a racist, and I will not stand for this mob-like character assassination of my family’s name. My parents were not on the trip, and I strive to represent my family in a respectful way in all public settings.

I have received physical and death threats via social media, as well as hateful insults. One person threatened to harm me at school, and one person claims to live in my neighborhood. My parents are receiving death and professional threats because of the social media mob that has formed over this issue…

I have read that Mr. Phillips is a veteran of the United States Marines. I thank him for his service and am grateful to anyone who puts on the uniform to defend our nation. If anyone has earned the right to speak freely, it is a U.S. Marine veteran.

So how did all this anger and outrage happen? In a well-written piece for the Atlantic, Julie Irwin Zimmerman admits she got it wrong when the story first appeared. She winds up calling this a Rorschach test and I believe she’s absolutely right.

The story is a Rorschach test—tell me how you first reacted, and I can probably tell where you live, who you voted for in 2016 and your general take on a list of other issues—but it shouldn’t be. Take away the video and tell me why millions of people cared so much about an obnoxious group of high-school students protesting legalized abortion and a small circle of Native Americans protesting centuries of mistreatment who were briefly locked in a tense standoff. Take away Twitter and Facebook and explain why total strangers cared so much about people they didn’t know in a confrontation they didn’t witness. Why are we all so primed for outrage, and what if the thousands of words and countless hours spent on this had been directed toward something consequential?

Why are we all so primed for outrage? Why were so many people, without understanding what had happened, looking to punish someone, even physically assault someone they didn’t know.

You may remember Reza Aslan. He had a sweet gig at CNN until 2017 when he lashed out on social media against President Trump. But he was just one of the thousands on Twitter eagerly joining the mob looking to punish a teenager they knew nothing about over an incident they knew almost nothing about.

What’s behind all of this is altruistic punishment. We make ourselves feel good by punishing others. It’s a powerful impulse that resides within all of us. It pops up all the time in pop culture wherever a mob of people has decided to punish a stranger. Some of the stories are even worse than the one that happened this weekend. I don’t have much hope that this is going to change anytime soon but the advent of social media seems to have exacerbated this tendency. Until we learn to recognize it and get control of it, social media is going to continue to be an awful place where awful things, like threatening the lives of random teenagers, will continue to happen.

Hollywood Producer Calls For the Murder of Covington Catholic Kids: ‘Go Screaming – Into the WOODCHIPPER’

Hollywood Producer Calls For Covington Catholic Kids to ‘Go Screaming – Into the Woodchipper’

Hollywood Producer Jack Morrissey, Twitter avatar

Jack Morrissey, a Hollywood Producer who is known for projects such as Beauty and the Beast and the Twilight Saga, called for minor teen high school boys to be murdered in a gruesome manner.

Mr. Morrissey joined the hate-filled media and piled on the Covington Catholic students after deceptively edited videos of the teens were posted to Twitter accusing them of harassing a Native American man.

Full video of the incident shows the teens did nothing wrong — they were ambushed by blacks calling them “crackers” and the Native Indian man is a far left activist who harassed the children.

In fact, upon further review of the entire video, many people are now apologizing to the Covington Catholic teens, admitting they were duped by selectively edited video and ‘fake news.’

Jack Morrissey takes the cake for the most disgusting attack on the minor Catholic boys.

“#MAGAkids go screaming, hats first, into the woodchipper,” Morrissey tweeted with a photo of a woodchipper.

Morrissey proved he’s really a cowardly keyboard warrior by locking his Twitter account after major backlash over his tweet calling for children to by murdered.

Twitter is allowing verified, blue checkmark accounts to call for the targeted harassment and violent assault of these minor high school children.
