Crooked Chicago prosecutors dropped the charges against hate hoaxer Jussie Smollett on Tuesday.

Chicago police are furious over state’s attorney Kim Foxx’s decision to drop all charges against Jussie Smollett.

Smollett reached a deferred prosecution deal and the judge sealed his case!

Even worse, Jussie Smollett and his lawyer are sticking to the BIG LIE that Smollett was attacked by racist white Trump supporters.

Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie T. Johnson and Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel held a presser Tuesday afternoon to address the shocking news that prosecutors dropped charges against Smollett without discussing it with the police department.

Eddie Johnson repeatedly stated that Jussie Smollett is guilty of staging a hate hoax crime in January and he did it to advance his career.

‘There’s one set of rules for the powerful and influential and it’s totally wrong,’ Eddie Johnson said.

Even crooked Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel called the decision to drop all charges against Smollett a ‘whitewash of justice.’

“Do I think justice was served? No…I think this city is still owed an apology.” Eddie Johnson said.

Mr. Johnson said crooked prosecutors brokered a deal in secret to circumvent the judicial system.

Tina Tchen a former aide to Barack and Michelle Obama, sent Kim Foxx an email saying, “Hi Kim – I sent an email to your work address I think as well. I wanted to give you a call on behalf of Jussie Smollett and family who I know. They have concerns about the investigation. I am on an 8 am flight to nyc but please call me before then. I land about 1015 Chicago time. My cell is [redacted]. Many thanks!”

Kim Foxx later recused herself from the case.

Pentagon Conducts Successful Missile Defense Intercept Test

Two U.S. Ground-based Interceptor missiles destroyed a target in space during a successful test of the Pentagon’s strategic missile defense system on Monday.

The interceptor missiles were fired from Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif. In the first salvo-launch against a target intercontinental missile launched 4,000 miles away at Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands, according to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).

The first GBI destroyed the target missile’s reentry vehicle and the second interceptor zeroed in on debris and blew up the largest piece in a precision kill, the MDA announced.

Target missile

Target missile / Photo from DOD

MDA Director Air Force Lt. Gen. Samuel A. Greaves called the first multiple-interceptor test a critical milestone for advancing the missile defense system.

"The system worked exactly as it was designed to do, and the results of this test provide evidence of the practicable use of the salvo doctrine within missile defense," Greaves said.

"The Ground-based Midcourse Defense system is vitally important to the defense of our homeland, and this test demonstrates that we have a capable, credible deterrent against a very real threat."

The ultra high-speeds of incoming warheads and the speed of interceptors needed to hit them has been described as using a bullet to hit a bullet.

The defense system is designed to counter North Korean ICBMs and any future Iranian missiles. The Trump administration also is considering expanding the system with space-based defensive weapons to counter Russian and Chinese missiles in the future.

The administration is expanding the 44 missile defense interceptors deployed at Fort Greely, Alaska, and Vandenberg.

An additional 20 interceptors are being added.

On Friday, the Pentagon announced the award of a $4.1 billion contract to the Boeing Co. for the ground-based missile defense development and sustainment program for the new missile interceptor field with 20 GBIs.

The new interceptors will be delayed until a new redesigned kill vehicle is completed.

The entire value of the contract is around $10.8 billion. Among the new elements will be to develop software hardened against cyber and other attacks.

Work on the contract will be conducted at Huntsville, Ala.; Fort Greely and Vandenberg, Schriever Air Force Base, Colo.; Peterson Air Force Base, Colo.; Cheyenne Mountain Air Station, Colo.; Colorado Springs, Colo.; Tucson, Ariz.; and other sites.

The complex missile defense system relies on space sensors, ground- and sea-based radar, and communications to provide targeting and tracking data as part of a battle management system.

The two GBI’s hit the targets with non-explosive space kill vehicles.

The MDA said initial indications are that the test was a success but test data is being fully evaluated.

The missile defense system is under the command of the Colorado-based Northern Command. Northcom conducted the test together with the Joint Functional Component Command for Integrated Missile Defense, and elements of the Air Force Space Command’s 30th, 50th, and 460th Space Wings.

The West Coast based defenses are designed to track and kill both intermediate- and long-range ballistic missiles.

The strategic system is part of a layered missile defense that also includes Aegis-equipped missile defense ships and ground based defenses like the Terminal High-Altitude Area Defense, or THAAD.

MDA released photos and video showing interceptor and target launches and the space based impact.

Rep. Mac Thornberry, (R., Texas) and ranking member of the House Armed Services Committee hailed Monday’s test as a significant advancement.

"Every test is crucial. We learn from all of them, even when they fail," Thornberry said in a statement.

"However, yesterday’s GMD test is the most complex ever attempted and its success is important. Missile defense programs are a vital part of our future security, one that has been politicized for too long."

Trump’s Campaign Sent TV Producers 1 Incredible Memo Right After Mueller’s Report Landed

In the aftermath of the end of special counsel Robert Meuller’s investigation, President Donald Trump’s re-election campaign sent a memo to mainstream media producers reminding them about six current or former government officials who peddled the now-debunked Russian collusion conspiracy theory.

The memo, which was sent Monday, began by summarizing the results of Mueller’s investigation: That the Trump campaign did not collude with the Russian government to influence the 2016 election.

“As you know, Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report found that no one associated with President Donald J. Trump’s 2016 campaign colluded with Russia, despite repeated offers from Russia-linked operatives,” the memo began.

After a brief summary, the memo contained a “list of guests who made outlandish, false claims” related to the left’s conspiracy theory, CNBC reported.

Those conspiracy theorists are Sen. Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut, Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez, former CIA Director John Brennan and Reps. Adam Schiff of California, Jerrold Nadler of New York and Eric Swalwell of California

TRENDING: You Can’t Make This Stuff Up: AOC Launches Attack on GOP for Pushing To Vote on Green New Deal

All of those individuals were constantly given a platform by the establishment media to stoke the flames for the “Russian collusion” conspiracy theory, which ended up falling flat on its face.

Now that even Mueller and his investigators agree that no collusion took place, media producers should be cautious about bringing those guests back on their shows.

“Moving forward, we ask that you employ basic journalistic standards when booking such guests to appear anywhere in your universe of productions,” the Trump campaign urged. “You should begin by asking the basic question:

Does this guest warrant further appearances in our programming, given the outrageous and unsupported claims made in the past?

“At a minimum, if these guests do reappear, you should replay the prior statements and challenge them to provide the evidence which prompted them to make the wild claims in the first place.”

The Trump memo is genius because it’s a big “I told you so” to the establishment media, which was complicit in peddling the collusion hoax.

But not surprisingly, some of those guests are still adamantly pushing the Russian conspiracy theory — and getting airtime to do it.

For example, Schiff told CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday that the evidence of collusion is in “plain sight,” collusion despite Mueller’s long, expensive investigation. It was a message he repeated on Monday, according to The Hill.

RELATED: Mueller Just Said No Collusion, Now the Russians Are Too

Blumenthal is also desperately trying to continue the witch hunt by attempting to discredit the summary released Sunday by Attorney General Willliam Barr.

“I do not deeply respect and trust the Barr summary, which was designed to frame the message before the information was available, and he succeeded in creating headlines,” Blumenthal said Tuesday on CNN.

Democrats are grasping at straws now.

Should the media stop giving a platform to far-left conspiracy theorists?

The attorney general of the United States isn’t going to lie about what’s in the Mueller report — especially when it’s all but certain to be made entirely or substantially public before too long. Believing that would be almost as absurd as the original collusion conspiracy theory.

The media should be cautious about giving more exposure to these desperate conspiracy theorists.

The delusional left attempted to divide the country based on a complete lie and the media should never let it happen again.

Jeanine Pirro Return in Doubt as Silent Fox News Hides Full Weekly Schedule

The Fox  News Channel is hiding its full weekly schedule from view as it appears that the likelihood of Judge Jeanine Pirro returning to her FNC show, Justice with Judge Jeanine that airs Saturdays at 9 p.m. ET, is diminishing following a two week absence over her remarks about Muslim Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) on her March 9 show.

Pirro spoke about Omar’s anti-semitism and asked whether Omar’s adherence to Islam’s sharia law–as evinced by her wearing a hijab–conflicted with her oath to the Constitution. The following day Fox released a statement denouncing Pirro’s remarks. Pirro issued a simultaneous statement explaining her comments.

Since then, neither Fox nor Pirro have made any public statements on her absence. Unconfirmed single source reports two weekends ago stated FNC had suspended Pirro for two weeks.

The Los Angeles Times reported this past Thursday, without foundation, that Pirro is expected to return this Saturday.

“A representative for Fox News declined comment on why Pirro’s show had been off the air since March 16. But people at the network not authorized to comment say the fiery conservative host has been suspended for remarks she made about Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) on her March 9 program. Pirro is expected to return March 30.”

The two weeks are up and there is no sign Pirro is returning to her show Saturday night. Pirro has not tweeted since March 10. The lack of a statement by FNC in support of Pirro or indicating a return date is telling. As of Tuesday, Pirro’s show is still listed on the FNC roster but has not been updated since she was taken off the air.

Multiple attempts to view the Monday thought Sunday weekly scheduled posted by FNC via smartphone showed a redirect to a two-day schedule showing only the current and following days’ schedule.

Initial return:

After redirect:

Attempts via computer to use a direct link to Saturday’s schedule returned either a blank full week schedule or the current two day schedule. Other attempts to use the link to the full schedule also returned a blank full week schedule.

The FNC schedule usually displays the date with the day and allows clicking on the day/date box to reveal a drop down schedule for that day. The smartphone image captured a new version that automatically displays the current and following days’ schedule.

The computer image shows no dates with the days and no drop down boxes available. The normal FNC schedule from last weekend when Pirro’s show was cancelled for the second week in a row was captured by TGP:

Video and relevant transcript of Pirro’s statement about Omar.

Transcript of Pirro’s remarks that got her in trouble with Fox shows she was addressing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) about the growing anti-Semitism within the Democratic Party.

Your party is not anti-Israel, she is. Think about this. She’s not getting this anti-Israel sentiment doctrine from the Democrat Party. So if it’s not rooted in the party, where is she getting it from? Think about it.

Omar wears a hijab, which, according to the Quran 33:59, tells women to cover so they won’t get molested. Is her adherence to this Islamic doctrine indicative of her adherence to Sharia law, which in itself is antithetical to the United States Constitution?”

I don’t have to tell you, Nancy, Jews have been persecuted almost from the beginning of time, when they were forced out of Egypt, to the six million killed in the Holocaust. And now we are witnessing the rise of anti-Semitism in Europe where incidents are up seventy-four percent in the last year alone in France. Where Jewish cemeteries are regularly desecrated with swastikas and people relay the common tropes of Jews with too much money and influence.

We all know how it starts. It starts that way. Hate is hate. Hate leads to violence and violence leads to retaliation. Which then leads to unrest and worse.

Yes, Nancy, it’s all about hating Israel to promote the cause of Palestine. President Trump was right when he said the Democrat Party is now the anti-Israel party. And don’t forget, Nancy, history has proven over an over when you appease anti-Semitic sentiment, the worst happens.

And in your case, Nancy, the danger for you is that your appeasing this behavior will lead to your removal as Speaker and the Democrats, now controlled by socialists and anti-Semites, will lose the presidency in 2020.”

Emergency on: Dems fail to overturn Trump’s veto

The wins just keep a-coming for Donald Trump, and this time he’s not alone. Democrats in the House failed to override Trump’s veto of their bill rescinding his declaration of emergency on the southern border. The failure means Trump keeps the authority to redirect funding from the Pentagon for building his “big, beautiful” border wall.

At least, he can build it unless and until the courts stop it:

An effort by House Democrats to override President Donald Trump’s first veto has failed. That hands him a victory because his declaration of a national emergency at the Southwest border will remain in effect.

The Democratic-controlled chamber has voted 248-181 in favor of overriding Trump’s veto. That fell 38 votes short of the 286 needed for Democrats and their handful of Republican allies to prevail, because a two-thirds majority was needed.

Besides Trump, the happiest man in Washington after this vote has to be Mitch McConnell. Had Nancy Pelosi managed to get the two-thirds necessary to override the veto in the lower chamber, McConnell would have faced enormous pressure to schedule a vote in the Senate. He managed to keep Republican defections on the rescission down to a dozen members the first time around, and it’s not likely there would have been more than a couple more who would have added themselves on an override. Still, McConnell would have been forced to waste more time and more political capital to preserve an emergency declaration he didn’t want in the first place.

So hi-ho, hi-ho, it’s off to court we go … which is what Pelosi claims the effort was intended to support:

“Whether we can succeed with the number of votes is not the point. We are establishing the intent of Congress,” she said at an event in New York last week during the congressional recess. “The president has decided to be in defiance of the Constitution, to deface it with his actions.”

Pelosi said that Tuesday’s vote could help Democrats’ case in the long-term. “Establishing the intent of Congress will help us in the court of law and in the court of public opinion,” she said.

That might be true in district court, but it may not matter much in appellate levels. In fact, the failure of the override might convince the courts that the matter properly belongs in the political rather than judicial realm. The National Emergencies Act makes no definition or boundaries on what constitutes an emergency, after all; it only provides Congress with the ability to counter it through a rescission. They’ve done that, and the president vetoed it, and Congress even had the opportunity to overturn it. The override couldn’t be sustained politically, but that doesn’t give the judiciary an entrée to interfere with powers that the legislature freely granted the executive 43 years ago, and to which Congress has never objected until now.

The real lesson from this is that the NEA was a terrible piece of legislation and needs to be repealed or greatly reformed. Perhaps losing the override will prompt bipartisan talks about how to prevent these “emergencies” in the future. That would be a win all around … if Pelosi and McConnell are interested in finding one.

Colo. Group Hopes to Overturn National Popular Vote Bill at Ballot Box

A small group of Colorado citizens is hoping to overturn a bill passed earlier this year joining the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (NPV), a workaround to implement a major shift to the Electoral College without amending the Constitution but which detractors argue is unconstitutional.

Although 12 states and the District of Columbia have already passed NPV legislation, the effort could create one of the first times a citizenry will vote on the idea, and could make the state a proxy in the ongoing debate over the Electoral College as more Democratic presidential candidates are campaigning on abolishing the constitutionally created institution.

Colorado’s constitution allows citizens to reject laws passed by the state general assembly with a ballot referendum, a challenge that’s been eagerly accepted by Mayor Don Wilson (R.) of Monument, a small suburb just north of Colorado Springs.

"Some of these people that don’t have an understanding of the Electoral College or don’t understand what the National Popular Vote does, it’s as simple as, ‘Hey, do you really want Raiders fans deciding your vote?’" Wilson said.

The NPV is a series of laws passed in various states that changes how the state would dedicate their electors in presidential elections. Rather than devoting all of the electors in a winner-take-all method to the candidate that won the most votes in the state, the NPV makes a compact that the electors will instead be dedicated to the candidate who wins the most votes nationwide.

Central to the NPV is that it does not take effect until enough states have joined so the combined number of electors reaches 270, the number needed to win the presidency.

After Colorado governor Jared Polis quietly signed NPV legislation two weeks ago, the tally of electors in the total NPV effort stood at 181. Legislation has also passed both the state house and senate in New Mexico, and if signed by Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, five more electors would be added.

Wilson’s push for a repeal referendum, working alongside Commissioner Rose Pugliese (R.) of Mesa County on the Western Slope, needs to collect more than 125,000 valid signatures by Aug. 1. If approved, the question would appear on the November 2020 ballot.

As Wilson’s earlier comment indicates, detractors of the NPV argue that highly populated urban areas such as Southern California and the New York City metropolitan area would have the greatest electoral power under the scheme, and that less populated areas in middle America would lose influence.

Others have argued since the NVP first came on the scene around 2006 that the agreement violates the "compact" clause of the Constitution, which says that states cannot enter into compacts with each other unless approved by Congress.

Colorado state representative Jeni Arndt (D.), a co-sponsor of the bill, hopes the NPV will survive, but was clear she supported the rights of those who want to see a challenge.

"I just really feel like this is a great national discussion of how we take our republic into the future, and it’s part of our national discussion of what we want our country to look like, which I think is completely engaging," Arndt told the Washington Free Beacon by phone.

State senator Mike Foote (D.), who sponsored the bill in the upper chamber, did not directly address questions about the Wilson-Pugliese effort.

"The presidency is our only nationwide election and the winner represents our entire country," Foote told the Free Beacon in an email. "The votes of all Americans should be courted and should count equally.  The National Popular Vote compact ensures both of those things happen."

Although the NPV’s effort made its first significant move outside of solidly blue states this year by gaining the "purple" state of Colorado, it still has a difficult task ahead. To reach the 270 mark, a state in which Republicans currently hold significant sway will have to be won as well, something critics say is highly unlikely.

Both Wilson and Rep. Arndt said they are too focused on immediate tasks to comment on what a campaign in a presidential election year might look like.

But Wilson said he’s only encouraged by the support he’s received of people willing to volunteer to go get signatures, and says his core team of five to six people has raised "about $25,000." Wilson says most of that has been online, "grassroots" fundraising, but acknowledges he will "have to pursue larger donors," and will likely need somewhere between $250,000 to $300,000 to have a chance at submitting enough valid signatures.

"In less than a week, we have over 800 volunteers out with their own petitions," Wilson said.

"I hope we can set the example for other states that you don’t have to deal with this," he added. "There are ways that it can be addressed. Maybe not the same way as us, but there are ways."

Colorado’s newly elected secretary of state, Democrat Jena Griswold, has been a backer of the NPV and celebrated its passage.

As the Free Beacon reported in February, Griswold declined to turn over communications from her office regarding the NPV after an open records request. State law allowed the non-disclosure of the documents but also expressly permits the officeholder to divulge the documents if they so wish. Griswold declined to do so when the Free Beacon asked her to voluntarily turn over the communications requested.
