Some of the $1.5 billion cash that Obama gave to Iran traced to Iran-backed terror groups

When President Barack Obama shipped $1.7 billion in cash to Iran as part of his nuclear deal, he was funding terrorists. It was entirely predictable, for his partners in the deal are committed to the destruction of Israel first, and then of the United States, once they have the nuclear means to do so.

The Armageddon that would break out after the US defends itself is a feature, not a bug in this plan, for the return of the Twelfth Mahdi will accompany the climactic global conflagration, and bring about the end of history, with Islam triumphant.

So, expecting the Mullahs to cozy up to the US in return for a vast amount of cash is foolish at best.  That money was just a means to an end that includes killing infidels, with priority given to Jews in Israel.

Bill Gertz, whose Pentagon sources are second to none, reports that the actual cash bills sent to Iran have made their way to Hezb’allah in Lebanon, the Houthis in Yemen, and to the hardline Quds forces of Iran: The U.S. government has traced some of the $1.7 billion released to Iran by the Obama administration to Iranian-backed terrorists in the two years since the cash was transferred.

According to knowledgeable sources, Iran has used the funds to pay its main proxy, the Lebanon-based terrorist group Hezbollah, along with the Quds Force, Iran’s main foreign intelligence and covert action arm and element of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps. (snip)

The U.S. money supplied to Iran as part of an arms settlement dating back to the 1970s also has been traced to Iran’s backing of Houthi rebels seeking to take power in Yemen. Iran has been supporting the Yemen rebels as part of a bid to encircle and eventually take control of Saudi Arabia.

 “The enormous financial windfall the Iranian regime received because of the deal — access to more than $100 billion, including $1.8 billion in cash — has not been used to better the lives of the Iranian people,” Mr. Trump said Jan. 12. “Instead, it has served as a slush fund for weapons, terror, and oppression, and to further line the pockets of corrupt regime leaders.”

What’s done is done. That money will continue to fund attacks and advance the mullahs’ goal of Armageddon. Thanks, Obama. Nobody is surprised but morons and your supporters.

The mass murder that didn’t happen because Texans are smarter than New Yorkers, Californians and progressives everywhere

In the fantasy world inhabited by progressives, passing laws to restrict gun ownership and the carrying of firearms prevents violence. The precise opposite is the truth, as demonstrated convincingly by John Lott, whose research led him to change his position on gun control once he discovered the facts.  His book More Guns Less Crime is required reading for anyone who wants to be honest about preventing the death of innocent Americans.

Yet the two coastal states that regard themselves as smarter and more sophisticated than the denizens of flyover country refuse to acknowledge this truth and maintains laws the restrict or even prohibit gun ownership and the bearing of arms in public places.

Worshippers in a suburb of Fort Worth, Texas heroically demonstrated the wisdom of our Founders and the superiority of Texas-style governance yesterday when an attempt was made to slaughter a large number of people at the West Freeway Church of Christ in White Settlement (can you imagine a pair of names more likely to elicit scorn from elitists?). Armed parishioners fought back and shot the gunman dead before he was able to slaughter more than two of them. NBCDFW reports:

Two parishioners and the gunman are dead after a shooting at a White Settlement church Sunday, officials say.

The shooting was reported at about 11 a.m. at the West Freeway Church of Christ in the 1900 block of South Las Vegas Trail.

During the service, a man went in and fired a weapon. Two church members, who were members of the parish’s security team, returned fire and killed the shooter, who was pronounced dead at the scene, White Settlement Police Chief J.P. Bevering said.

I am so ashamed of my own state of California and so in awe of Texans – their governance and their personal courage – that I’d move there right away, were it not for various compelling family and personal considerations that prevent it. Top DHS Official: Man Who Used Machete To Attack Jews Is Son Of Illegal Alien

Ken Cuccinelli, acting Deputy Secretary at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), said on Monday that the man who allegedly used a machete during a stabbing spree at a rabbi’s home in New York was the son of an illegal alien.

“The attacker is the U.S. Citizen son of an illegal alien who got amnesty under the 1986 amnesty law for illegal immigrants,” Cuccinelli said in a now-deleted tweet. “Apparently, American values did not take hold among this entire family, at least this one violent, and apparently bigoted, son.”

Cuccinelli’s tweet linked to a New York Times article on the attack, which left five people injured in what was just the latest in a string of anti-Semitic attacks in the New York City area.

“Signed by President Ronald Reagan and passed on a bipartisan basis in Congress, the landmark 1986 law granted legal status to 2.7 million undocumented immigrants who entered the country before 1982,” The Washington Post reported. “DHS, the domestic anti-terror agency where Cuccinelli is second-in-command, did not immediately respond to requests for information about his allegations.”

The attacker, whom The Daily Wire is not naming as part of campaign to limit the notoriety that alleged terrorists receive for their acts of evil, is a 38-year-old African-American male.

The Daily Wire reported:

In a criminal complaint filed Monday with the Southern District of New York, Special Agent Julie S. Brown accuses the suspect — a 38-year-old African American man who family members say suffers from mental illness, specifically schizophrenia (his name is here redacted in accordance with Daily Wire policy on mass killers) — of “obstruction of free exercise of religious beliefs involving an attempt to kill and use of a dangerous weapon, and resulting in bodily injury.”

In the complaint, Brown provides previously unrevealed details about the contents of the suspect’s journals and cell phone indicating that he was potentially motivated by “anti-Semitic sentiments.”

The response to the this latest anti-Semitic attack in Democrat-controlled New York and New York City has started to shift compared to the response to previous attacks in the area.

Four Jewish elected officials in New York, all Democrats, wrote a letter to Democrat Governor Andrew Cuomo urging him to deploy the National Guard.

“We are writing to ask that you declare a state of emergency and that you deploy the New York State Police and the New York National Guard to visibly patrol and protect Orthodox Jewish neighborhoods throughout our state,” the letter stated. “In addition, we are asking that you appoint a special prosecutor for purposes of investigating and prosecuting perpetrators of anti-Semitic violence, and that the special prosecutor immediately assume control of cases already under the jurisdiction of local district attorneys.”

“So, this horrific attack last night, it’s the ninth apparent anti-Semitic attack in New York in just the last week,” Tapper said. “Obviously, there has been an increase in hate crimes against Jews in New York and nationally.”

“It appears that many, if not most of these attacks were allegedly carried out not by white supremacists, not by the alt-right, but by people of color,” Tapper added.

EXCELLENT! Trump to Hold Massive Campaign Rally During Next Boring Democrat Primary Debate

President Donald Trump will be holding a massive campaign rally on January 14 in Wisconsin — the same day as the Democrat primary debate in Iowa.

Ratings for the Democrat debates have already plummeted, with the December event drawing the smallest audience to date.

Trump’s campaign announced the rally on Monday, noting the surge in Wisconsin jobs since Trump took office.

“President Trump has delivered for Wisconsin creating 37,400 new jobs, including 4,900 new manufacturing jobs and 13,800 new construction jobs,” Michael Glassner, the campaign’s chief operating officer, said in a statement. “President Trump looks forward to returning to the Badger State to celebrate his message of ‘Promises Made, Promises Kept.’”

The rally will be held at the University of Wisconsin’s Panther arena in Milwaukee, which can hold 12,700 people.

Earlier this month, Trump held a rally in Hershey, Pennsylvania, which was viewed by 12,000 at the event, 30,000 on YouTube Livestream, and 2.1 million on Facebook.

Bible’s Scriptures Unblemished After Blazing Fire Destroys Nearly Everything Else in Its Path

A family’s heirloom Bible has remained intact after a massive shed fire on Christmas Eve in Socastee, South Carolina.

Louis McGowan had been celebrating Christmas Eve with his family when, around 11:00 p.m., he saw flames running up the side of his shed on his security camera.

McGowan told WPDE that he raced outside to see if he could tame the blaze, but the fire began to rage too fast.

Within 10 minutes, firefighters from Horry County Fire Rescue responded to the home and stopped the blaze, but the shed and its contents were utterly destroyed.

“A lot of things in here is like unrecognizable for the most part,” McGowan told WPDE. “It’s just destroyed.”

As McGowan watched the shed go up in flames, he took a mental inventory of what had been inside, which included two sentimental family heirlooms: an American flag from his great grandfather’s burial and a Bible that had belonged to McGowan’s father.

When McGowan walked through the charred remnants of his shed the following day, he tried to decipher objects that had melted into unrecognizable lumps.

He was able to locate both the flag and the Bible, which had been sitting on a shelf in the shed. The flag was mostly burned and blackened, with some sections of fabric intact.

But when McGowan opened up his father’s Bible, he found the pages unscathed, readable, and entirely intact. The cover was blackened and the book’s edges a bit burned, but the scriptures inside were untouched.

“There isn’t a thing in here you can’t read. Everything is 100 percent readable,” McGowan said. “There’s some of dad’s favorite psalms.”

As McGowan flipped through the pages, he was able to look on Biblical passages his father had highlighted years ago.

On the eve of one of the most important dates in the Christian faith, the Bible was able to withstand the fire.

“I just think it’s amazing that the Bible stayed intact,” McGowan said.

Overall, McGowan has remained optimistic about the fire that leveled his shed to the ground, thankful that his family was unharmed.

“Everybody is fine. All of this can be replaced,” he said.

‘Despicable Partisanship’: CNN Blasted For Gaslighting Viewers About NYC Anti-Semitic Attacks

CNN was slammed on Monday over a segment in which Democrat Samantha Vinograd, who is a paid CNN contributor, suggested without evidence that President Donald Trump was somewhat responsible for the anti-Semitic attacks in the New York City area while also claiming that Governor Andrew Cuomo and Mayor Bill de Blasio were doing a good combating the issue.

“I think it’s too hard to quantify but the data could not be clearer: It is clear that we have an anti-Semitism problem in this country and it is clear that we are attacking the problem piecemeal and that is what is so difficult for me to understand as a security analyst,” Vinograd said during a segment on CNN’s “Newsroom.”

Vinograd served on former President Barack Obama’s National Security Council, is a Hillary Clinton donor, and is a Senior Adviser at the Biden Institute.

“But while we can’t identify specific cause, we are not bring the full resources of the U.S. government to bear to address this problem,” Vinograd continued. “We are seeing various action at the state and local level, Governor Cuomo, Mayor de Blasio for example, also said for example that he was instructing schools in the city into integrating more educational aspects into their curricula, but we have not seen the U.S. government address the lessons of countering extremism in a really strategic way and I do not understand why.”

“President Trump has the authority and the ability to call together a whole government approach on this issue and he has failed to do so while concurrently, unfortunately really propagating some anti-Semitic narratives,” Vinograd claimed without evidence.

NewsBusters Managing Editor Curtis Houck commented on the segment, writing on Twitter: “Despicable partisanship masquerading as objective analysis. Former Obama official/@CNN analyst @Sam_Vinograd just hailed Cuomo & de Blasio for their actions to thwart anti-Semitism in New York, but blamed Trump for not doing enough & ‘propagating anti-Semitic narratives.’”

Trump Voted Co-‘Most Admired Man’ in US and That’s Big Trouble for Democrats in 2020

This is the kind of news Democrats dread.

A Gallup poll released Monday found President Donald Trump in a tie with former President Barack Obama as the man most admired by Americans for 2019, with each man being named by 18 percent of those surveyed.

The news marked Trump’s first time in the No. 1 spot — albeit in a tie with his predecessor in the White House — and considering it came at the end of a year that saw the release of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report, relentless attacks in the mainstream media and popular culture and impeachment hearings by the Democratic-run House of Representatives, it’s hard to see the results as anything other than good news for the White House.

But there’s even worse news for Democrats:

Only one of the country’s most admired men in 2019 is going to be on the presidential ballot come November 2020.

According to Gallup, the poll of 1,025 adults was taken Dec. 2-Dec. 15 – as the impeachment mania was reaching its height on Capitol Hill and in the mainstream media. If there was ever a time during his tumultuous term when Trump’s admiration on a national scale would be in question, that would have seemed to be it.

Obama’s presence in the top spot – his 12th consecutive appearance there – isn’t nearly as much of an accomplishment.

While it’s true he’s been out of office for three years, he continues to be the beneficiary of personality-cult level propaganda from top positions in American culture, whether in the news media or the entertainment-political complex in Hollywood.

The Trump-Obama percentages were furlongs ahead of their nearest competitor – even accounting for a 4 percent margin for error, according to Gallup.

None of the other men named in the open-ended survey, which allowed poll respondents to choose any name they wished, garnered a showing of more than 2 percent, Gallup reported.

The three closest behind were the late evangelist Billy Graham, the late former President Ronald Reagan, and the still-living former President Jimmy Carter — who has no hesitation about badmouthing Trump when the spirit moves him.

(The latter two show just how politically divided the country really is; it’s a rock solid bet they have precious few admirers in common.)

As an example of the power of the media, former first lady Michelle Obama — almost three years removed from her harping presence in the White House — was still named the most admired woman, with 10 percent of respondents choosing her. Current first lady Melania Trump came in second with 5 percent.

(Behind them were talk show host Oprah Winfrey, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and teenage climate shrew Greta Thunberg, so make of that what you will.)

The poll might have been the first time Trump supporters would have been satisfied with a tie, but the social media reaction showed Americans understood what the real importance of the numbers was to next year’s presidential race.

But this one covers it perfectly.

Remember, this was an open-ended survey where respondents were free to choose any name, and it was taken at a time when the name of Donald Trump was being vilified in every mainstream media outlet and in the nation’s capital.

Yet he was still in a tie for a poll of the man Americans admire most.

If that continues, it’s going to have serious repercussions in the voting booths next November.

And then Democrats will be getting the kind of news they dread most of all — four more years of a Donald Trump presidency.

Texas Freeway Church Shooter Keith Kinnunen was a Repeat Felon – By Texas Law He Was Not Allowed to Own a Firearm — Kinnunen Didn’t Follow the Law

The Freeway Church shooter Keith Kinnunen was gunned down on Sunday after he shot two people during the church service in Texas.

Kinnunen was arrested in 2016 after police found him in possession of a .12 gauge shotgun and rounds while in the area of the Phillips 66 refinery in Linden, New Jersey. He was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a weapon.

Convicted felons cannot own guns in Texas. A felon in Texas can own a gun but only on his premises and five years after the conviction.

Keith Kinnunen was a felon with a long police record.
By Texas law he was not allowed to own a gun.

Yet, he went into a church on Sunday and shot two people before being shot dead.

Thank God for the good guys with their guns.

No gun control laws will prevent convicted felons like Kinnunen from acquiring a firearm.

California’s Latest Act of Idiocy: Killing Freelance Work

If there’s one thing the California government is good for these days, it’s failing to address crises that glaringly exist while creating new crises that shouldn’t exist—and then shifting the blame when everything goes wrong.

A new California law set to go into effect in the new year is the latest example of misguided legislation hurting the very people it was aimed to “protect” in the Golden State.

The law, Assembly Bill 5, puts severe restrictions on who is qualified to be an independent contractor or freelancer. The law puts heavy restrictions on how much work freelancers can do before being considered full-time workers.  

The legislation was passed to reduce the negative impact of the “gig economy,” where workers do various jobs on their own time but don’t get the benefits or long-term employment guarantees of a traditional, full-time job.

The problem is, it appears that instead of aiming to hire more full-time workers, companies are simply getting rid of freelancers and independent contractors in favor of a smaller number of full-time employees.

Of course, the freelancer law has major implications for ride-sharing services like Uber—which is battling the law and working with other companies to amend it with a ballot initiative—but it’s having a huge impact on freelance writers in particular.

Vox Media, which supported the new law, announced that it would be doing away with most of its California contractors who provide content for its sports websites on SB Nation.

“In the early weeks and months of 2020, we will end our contracts with most contractors at California brands,” SB Nation Executive Director John Ness wrote in a post, according to Fox Business.

“This shift is part of a business and staffing strategy that we have been exploring over the past two years, but one that is also necessary in light of California’s new independent contractor law, which goes into effect Jan. 1, 2020.”

There’s no question as to where the problem lies: The new law limits freelance contributions to 35-a-year to a single company, which in many cases is a tiny number for freelancers.

Billy Binion, writing for Reason, pointed out what this means for writers: “The 35-piece per publication limit comes out to less than one piece per week. Anyone who writes a weekly column, for instance, is likely out of a job if their publisher cannot hire them as an employee.”

Businesses and publishers in general now have an incentive to stay away from California workers and writers.

“If I’m a publisher from out of state,” said David Swanson, a San Diego writer who is the outgoing president of the Society of American Travel Writers, according to the Los Angeles Times, “and I have a choice of hiring a writer from California to do a job, or somebody from Colorado or Texas or Canada or India—and I’d have no chance of being sued—who do you think I’m going to hire? AB 5 simply makes it unattractive to hire writers from California.”

The gig economy might not be the best arrangement for everyone, but needlessly killing thousands of jobs is the last thing California lawmakers should be doing. The impact on businesses will likely be bad, but for those now out of a job in the new year, it will be far worse.

For many, the flexibility of independent contract work is highly appealing and in some cases necessary.

As Laura Baxter wrote for The Federalist, the law could fall particularly hard on parents, students, and the disabled. For others, freelancing is an important supplement to income that will now be lost.

And for those who pursue the dream of writing for a living, freelance work is often the only opportunity to do so. With this law, many California writers are now being forced to choose between ending that dream or leaving the state.

California, the richest state in the union, is seemingly perfecting the art of encouraging mass homelessness and putting people out of work. (And right behind it is New York, which may soon be adopting a similar law.)

Texas Pastor Demolishes Joe Biden’s Desire To Disarm Churchgoers; Top Official: Hero Saved Hundreds

Britt Farmer, Senior Minister of West Freeway Church of Christ in Texas, praised the Texas government on Sunday for allowing lawful gun owners in the state to protect themselves at places of worship after a good guy with a gun stopped an attack at the church.

Farmer’s remarks are a strong rebuke of remarks made by Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden earlier this year when Biden attacked Texas Governor Greg Abbott for signing a bill into law that allowed lawful gun owners to carry firearms in places of worship.

“First off, I want to say that I am extremely thankful to lieutenant governor and the governor — Governor Patrick and Governor Abbott — and their rapid response to this,” Farmer said. “To the law enforcement agencies that have been here, we couldn’t have asked for more professional, seamless interviews, and work with our congregation and our people and the kindness that was shown to them by law enforcement.”

“We lost two great men today, but it could have been a lot worse, and I’m thankful that our government has allowed us the opportunity to protect ourselves,” Farmer continued. “We have a congregation here of open-hearted people, we help people, we’re here to help people and to have something like this happen destroys my heart and when I say destroys it, destroys it because there is evil in this world.”

“Today is one sermon I’ll never preach, it’ll go away, it was called leaving a legacy, and two men today left legacy, but the congregation is going to build on that legacy,” Farmer added. “Right now I’d like to say to all those that are watching: thank you for your prayers, please continue to pray for the West Freeway Church family.”

“We’d like to say we’re a place you and your family can call home, today our home was invaded by evil,” Farmer concluded. “The sad thing is it happens all the time as far as evil’s concerned, but I know two men right now that are better off than any of us are, and I hope and I pray that not only will we survive this, I know we will, but that in some way we might be a beacon to those who don’t know what to do because today we proved that not only can we be God loving, God-fearing people, but we can protect each other as well.”

Farmer’s remarks cut against what Biden, who is ardently anti-Second Amendment, said in September.

“Dealing with firearms, it is irrational, with all due respect to the governor of Texas, irrational what they are doing,” Biden told reporters on September 2. “On the very day you see a mass shooting … and we’re talking about loosening access to have guns, to be able to take them into places of worship, it’s just absolutely irrational. It’s totally irrational.”

Jeff Williams, Regional Director for the Texas Department of Public Safety, praised the hero who immediately engaged and killed the attacker.

“It cannot be overstated how important it is that everyone recognize what took place here today,” Williams said. “The citizens who were inside that church undoubtedly saved 242 other parishioners, and that might get swept aside in this whole conversation about active shooter response, and God knows law enforcement has done a whole bunch of work to make our response better, we needed to do that.”

“But we’re starting to find out that, as the Lt. Governor mentioned, over half of these are over before we get there, and I want to commend the chief and his department, their response, it is never going to get faster than that, it was miraculous,” Williams continued. “And so the true heroes in this are the people who were sitting in those pews today and responded, the immediate responders that saved their fellow citizens. I just can’t overstate how critical that is, I just want to recognize it, it’s truly heroic and this citizens of this community have a lot to be proud of for their response.”
