"We Do Not Consent" – 1000s Rally In London To Oppose Another COVID-19 Lockdown

Six months after parliament passed the Coronavirus Act 2020, which gives the government powers to impose lockdowns and other restrictive social distancing measures (measures that have been accompanied by stiff fines), thousands of Britons packed London’s Trafalgar Square bearing signs reading "We Do Not Consent" and "Think Before It’s Illegal" during a rally that was billed as a "We Do Not Consent" anti-lockdown demonstration.

The event was organized by a coalition of political groups, and supporters have been galvanized by the talk of another London lockdown by mayor Sadiq Khan, as well as PM Boris Johnson’s assurances that a lockdown would be imposed if the government felt all other measures had failed.

Protests are exempt from the rule of six, a rule that threatens fines for groups of more than six people, which has created much aggravation in the UK. Organizers of the rally had to submit a "risk assessment" and agree to comply with social distancing rules. While police told the press that the organizers had completed these requirements, the metropolitan police promised to crack down on those not wearing masks and violating other rules.

They added that enforcement "remains a last resort but will be undertaken if required."

Demonstrators waved signs and British flags and cheered as speakers – including several notable "conspiracy theories", according to the Guardian – addressed the crowd. Crowds chanted “freedom” as people whistled and clapped.

At points, police fulfilled their promise to break up crowds. Before they began, the protests received a warning from the Metropolitan Police, which said it would intervene if the protesters don’t abide by social distancing guidelines.

Toby Young, General Secretary of the Free Speech Union, expressed hope that law enforcement would allow the group to protest "as they did with [Extinction Rebellion] and BLM."

Attending the protest, Kerry Dunn, 41, from Bath, claimed her son, Beau, suffered adverse affects after being vaccinated.
“I’ve been shouting that mandatory vaccines are coming, no one believed me,” she said. “Now we can see it’s just around the corner, we’ve never been closer."

Another event, billed as a “People’s network and family picnic”, is also being organised by the same activists for Sunday in Hyde Park.

Kamala Harris praises ‘brilliance’ of BLM, says protests are ‘essential component of evolution in our country’

Democratic nominee for vice president Kamala Harris praised the "brilliance" of Black Lives Matter and called the continuing nationwide protests "as an essential component of evolution in our country." During a virtual convention for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People on Friday, Sen. Harris (D-Calif.) said that BLM is the "most significant agent for change within the criminal justice system."

"The brilliance and the impact of Black Lives Matter and their brilliance in conceiving it, history is going to show was an inflection point in the ongoing fight for justice, to your point, and to reform the criminal justice system and America’s criminal justice system," Harris told CNN political commentator Angela Rye, who was hosting the event.

"I actually believe, as a former prosecutor, that Black Lives Matter has been the most significant agent for change within the criminal justice system, because it has been a counterforce to the force within the system that is so grounded in status quo and in its own traditions, many of which have been harmful and have been discriminatory in the way that they’ve been enforced," Harris proclaimed, according to RealClearPolitics.

"It is about, I think, a community and the country speaking out, understanding that nothing that we have achieved that has been about progress in this country has come without a fight," Harris continued. "Nothing that we have achieved in our country that has been about progress, and in particular around civil rights has come without a fight."

"I always, I’m going to interpret these protests as an essential component of evolution in our country, as an essential component, a mark of a real democracy and as necessary, as necessary," Harris said during the NAACP remote convention. "The people’s voices must be heard. It is often the people who must speak to get their government to do what it is supposed to do, but may not do naturally unless the people speak loudly, and obviously peacefully, but speak loudly."

Rye asked Harris about the founders of the Black Lives Matter organization — Patrisse Cullors, Alicia Garza, and Opal Tometi — being named to TIME‘s 100 most influential people of 2020 list. Harris said, "Good for TIME magazine for doing that."

In a 2015 interview, Cullors admitted that she and her fellow BLM creators are "trained Marxists."

"Myself and Alicia in particular are trained organizers. We are trained Marxists," Cullors said. "We are super-versed on, sort of, ideological theories."

Tometi has endorsed Venezuelan socialist dictator Nicolás Maduro, and was honored to meet him in 2015. While visiting Venezuela, Tometi tweeted, "Such a relief to be in a place where there is intelligent political discourse."

This comes at a time when new polls show public support for Black Lives Matter and the protests are falling. One poll released in the past week showed support for anti-police brutality protests declined from 54% in June to 39% in September. A Pew Research survey found that support for the BLM movement dropped from 67% in June to 55% in September.

During the interview, Rye asked Harris, "Who is the best rapper alive?" Harris responded, "Tupac."

The rapper Tupac Shakur died 24 years ago on Sept. 13, 1996, from the injuries he suffered from a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas.

Harris reacted to her mistake by saying, "I keep doing that." She continued, "Who would I say? I mean, there’s so many. There are some that I would not mention right now because they should stay in their lane, but others."

Rye was confused by the response and said, "I don’t know what that means. I want to know who one of those are."

"Keep going, keep moving," Harris instructed Rye.

"Okay, all right," Rye obediently replied. "All right. I think that was not supposed to be a stumper either."

Canada’s Trudeau Creates Race-Based $221m Fund for Black People Only

Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau has announced the federal government will be investing $221 million of taxpayer cash in a group to give loans to black entrepreneurs to start businesses.

Mr Trudeau made the announcement this week in Toronto at the HXOUSE organisation, a group that describes itself as a “Toronto-based, globally focused think-centre. Serving its community as an incubator and accelerator, it helps to foster innovation and opportunity for creative entrepreneurs.”

Of the $221 million, $93 million will be used over the course of the next four years to launch a new federal government programme, the Black Communities Entrepreneurship Program of Canada, newspaper La Presse reports.

Another $53 million will likely be set aside for a new fund to make money available int he form of loans only to businesses run by black entrepreneurs.

Trudeau claimed the move was to combat “systemic racism” in Canada, saying: “We’re going to have more to say about our justice system and the reforms that need to be done. We’re going to have more to say about the need to work with our police forces to combat systemic racism.”

“The pandemic has highlighted the inequities that disproportionately affect black communities in Canada and the need to revitalize our economy to give all Canadians an equal chance to succeed,” Trudeau claimed.

The move comes after Trudeau pledged his support for the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement in June and took a knee during an event in Ottawa after the death of Minnesota man George Floyd.

Despite the show of solidarity with the group, however, many in the crowd openly mocked the Canadian leader.

Last year, Trudeau was embroiled in a scandal revolving around the many times he wore blackface prior to becoming the head of the Canadian Liberal Party and Prime Minister of Canada.

As numerous incidents of Trudeau donning offensive attire emerged, he was asked by one reporter if he knew how many times he had engaged in such activity in the past. Mr Trudeau was unable to give a clear answer.

German Minister Admits Lockdown Will Kill More Than COVID-19 Does

German Minister Admits Lockdown Will Kill More Than COVID-19 Does

Tyler Durden

Sat, 09/26/2020 – 08:10

Authored by Steve Watson via Summit News,

Germany’s Minister of Economic Cooperation and Development, Gerd Muller, has warned that lockdown measures throughout the globe will end up killing more people than the Coronavirus itself.

In an interview with German newspaper Handelsblatt, Muller warned that the response to the global pandemic has resulted in “one of the biggest” hunger and poverty crises in history.

Muller warned that further damage will be done if draconian measures continue to be enacted by governments.

“We expect an additional 400,000 deaths from malaria and HIV this year on the African continent alone,” Muller emphasised, adding that “half a million more will die from tuberculosis.”

“The supply of food and medication is no longer guaranteed,” Muller continued, adding “Many of the West’s aid programs are not adequately funded,” also noting that while countries focus on battling the virus at home, it is having a massive toll on countries not equipped to combat it without help.

Muller further warned that “humanitarian catastrophes” are “building up right on our doorstep,” while European governments concentrate on lockdowns and restricting the movement of people.

“Europe has decided to support its own economy with programs worth around two trillion euros. No additional support is planned for Africa. That will catch up with us,” Muller urged.

The Minister admitted that a further wave of mass migration in the future could result from such action.

Muller’s comments come five months after a leaked study from inside the German Ministry of the Interior revealed that the impact of the country’s lockdown could end up killing more people than the coronavirus due to victims of other serious illnesses not receiving treatment.

The findings dovetail with other research that has concluded lockdowns will conservatively “destroy at least seven times more years of human life” than they save.

As we have previously highlighted, in the UK there have already been up to 10,000 excess deaths as a result of seriously ill people avoiding hospitals due to COVID-19 or not having their hospital treatments cancelled.

Professor Richard Sullivan also warned that there will be more excess cancer deaths in the UK than total coronavirus deaths due to people’s access to screenings and treatment being restricted as a result of the lockdown.

His comments were echoed by Peter Nilsson, a Swedish professor of internal medicine and epidemiology at Lund University, who said, “It’s so important to understand that the deaths of COVID-19 will be far less than the deaths caused by societal lockdown when the economy is ruined.”

According to Professor Karol Sikora, an NHS consultant oncologist, there could be 50,000 excess deaths from cancer as a result of routine screenings being suspended during the lockdown in the UK.

In addition, a study published in The Lancet that notes “physical distancing, school closures, trade restrictions, and country lockdowns” are worsening global child malnutrition.

Experts have also warned that there will be 1.4 million deaths globally from untreated TB infections due to the lockdown.

As we further previously highlighted, a data analyst consortium in South Africa found that the economic consequences of the country’s lockdown will lead to 29 times more people dying than the coronavirus itself.

Hundreds of doctors are also on record as opposing lockdown measures, warning that they will cause more death than the coronavirus itself.

Despite citizens across the world being told to observe the lockdown to “save lives,” numerous experts who are now warning that the lockdown could end up costing more lives are being ignored or smeared by the media.

Historically Black University Humiliates Biden After He Claims To Have ‘Started Out’ There

Veteran Atlantic writer Mark Bowden may have summed up Joe Biden’s tenuous relationship with the truth best in a 2010 piece where he described the then-vice president as having “the limber storyteller’s tendency to stretch.” “Though hardly a hanging offense — who among us hasn’t burnished a tale now and then? — it’s a dangerous…

Spotify Employees Now Threatening Walk-Out If Rogan Podcast Not Censored By Them…

See ya!

Via Barstool:

A contingent of activist Spotify staffers are now considering a walkout or full-blown strike if their demands for direct editorial oversight of The Joe Rogan Experiencepodcast aren’t met.

Late last week, we first reported that Spotify employees were demanding direct editorial oversight over the recently-acquired Joe Rogan Experience podcast. That would include the ability to directly edit or remove sections of upcoming interviews, or block the uploading of episodes deemed problematic. The employees also demanded the ability to add trigger warnings, corrections, and references to fact-checked articles on topics discussed by Rogan in the course of his multi-hour discussions.

Some of the group’s demands have already been met by Spotify management, though a refusal to allow further changes is stirring talk of a high-profile walkout or strike. According to preliminary plans shared with Digital Music News, the strike would principally involve New York-based Spotify employees, and would be accompanied by protests outside Spotify’s Manhattan headquarters. Other aspects would involve media appearances and coordination with other activist organizations.

Hysterical CNN Fabricates Quotes Claiming Trump’s ‘Okay With Violence’

It is common for New Day co-host Alisyn Camerota to obsess over and warp President Trump’s comments. Now she is escalating to just making up fake quotes in order to advance the interests of the Democratic Party. “What he said yesterday, basically it sounded like, he’s okay with violence. If he loses, he’s okay with violence.…He’s okay with it as long as he gets what he wants,” Camerota falsely proclaimed on the morning show.
During President Trump’s press conference on Wednesday afternoon, left-wing Playboy reporter and former CNN political analyst Brian Karem asked a leading question about whether the President will support a peaceful transition of power this November in light of the riots that are currently plaguing major cities across the country. Trump said it “depends,” and made comments about the integrity of the election.
It should be noted that the President did not even reference the riots in his response to Mr. Karem, it was the reporter who brought them up. This did not stop Camerota.
During the segment, Camerota became frantic, raising her voice and interrupting her guests to argue that President Trump wanted violence. When political commentator Scott Jennings stated he felt there would be a peaceful transition, she cried, “Why?! Why do you think that, Scott, when the President is saying it’s conditional?” This went from attacking President Trump’s comments to openly pushing a false narrative.

This is part of a continued effort of the New Day hosts to support the Democratic nominee Joe Biden and ensure that he wins the presidency. The theme was not, "We need to ensure a fair election, a peaceful transition no matter the outcome of the election," but rather, "Trump is going to lose, and we need to ensure that he leaves peacefully." Bakari Sellers openly declared: “[Trump] will not be the valid winner after all of the ballots are counted.” It seems CNN has also decided the election results before the votes have been cast or counted.
Former Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton advised Biden to “not concede under any circumstances and Biden himself is hiring hundreds of lawyers to prepare to challenge the results if he loses. Why aren’t the CNN hosts hysterical about whether or not he will accept the election outcome?
Not only is CNN creating a narrative that Trump is in favor of violence if he loses, they are doing the exact same thing they are accusing him of doing. They are stating that if Joe Biden does not win the White House this November, the results are not legitimate.

CNN’s New Day
09/24/20
6:27 AM ET
ALISYN CAMEROTA: President Trump just told us that for him, a peaceful transferal of power is conditional. Only if he gets what he wants. Mitt Romney is one of the people who is taking the President very seriously about these comments. He tweeted, fundamental to democracy is the peaceful transfer of power. Without that, there is Belarus. Any suggestion that a President may not no respect this constitutional guarantee is unthinkable and unacceptable. Joining us to discuss this are CNN Political commentators Bakari Sellers and Scott Jennings. Great to have both of you here. Bakari, what did you hear in the President’s words?
BAKARI SELLERS [CNN Political Commentator]: Well, I think it’s something to be very terrified about. The President in his mind only believes that either he wins the election or the election was rigged. There’s no third alternative there. But Democrats, we have to calm down. I hear this question a lot, you know, what happens if he doesn’t leave. We have to beat him first. And I think that we have to focus on what’s hand, which is beating the President of the United States and beating him soundly.
CAMEROTA: I don’t know if it matters, Bakari. What he said yesterday, basically it sounded like, he’s okay with violence. If he loses, he’s okay with violence. When Brian Karem said, but there’s rioting in the streets, and he said, well get rid of the balloting. He’s okay with it as long as he gets what he wants.
SELLERS: We know that he’s okay with his type of violence. We know that he’s okay with violence that is done in his name. That’s not new. But I want people to focus on, what I’m trying to get people to focus on over the next 40 days, none of this will matter if he doesn’t, you know, lose this election. So you have to focus on what you can control now. I do believe that on January 20th, and this is my faith in this country and my faith in democracy, that whoever loses will ride from the White House with whoever the former President is or whoever loses the election and we’ll have a peaceful transfer of power, regardless of what the President may say.
CAMEROTA: Scott, what did you hear in the president’s comments?
SCOTT JENNINGS [CNN Political Commentator]: There’s only one answer to that question, and that is, of course, we’ll have a peaceful transition of power. I agree with Senator Romney. Any suggestion to the contrary is not right. And no one should be making it. It’s the wrong answer. The President has raised these questions about the mail-in ballots and that’s not a new topic for him. But to go from that question and then to try to talk about that in the same breath was a huge mistake yesterday. And my suspicion is, this reminds me of a few weeks ago, Alisyn, when he talked about, maybe we should delay the election, and you had the elected leadership and the party leadership of both parties unified in saying, that’s not happening, and that was quickly abandoned. I think if he persists in this, you’ll see both parties’ leaders unify around a message of, that’s not going to happen, Mr. President.
CAMEROTA: It –
JENNINGS: I agree with Bakari, by the way. I think we will have a peaceful transition —
CAMEROTA: Why?! Why do you think that, Scott, when the President is saying it’s conditional?
JENNINGS: Because the President of the United States does not have the ability to just upend, you know, all the tradition and history we have in this country of a peaceful transition of power. I don’t —
CAMEROTA: But he does — Scott, I want you to help everybody feel better —
JENNINGS: — I think the weight of our institutions and the weight of the momentum of our democracy is going to prevent it.
CAMEROTA: Who’s going to stop him? Who’s going to stop him?
SELLERS: The Secret Service.
CAMEROTA: But I’m talking about —
SELLERS: The Secret Service is going to come in —
CAMEROTA: — but what he’s doing is ginning up his supporters. He’s not saying that he’s activating the military. He’s ginning up his ardent supporters to go out into the streets. That’s why Brian Karem says, there’s rioting in the streets. And the President says, well, get rid of the ballots, then it will be peaceful. He likes the rioting in the streets is what he’s saying.
SELLERS: I don’t disagree with that.
CAMEROTA: How is anybody going to stop that?
SELLERS: I don’t disagree with that. I think we’re talking about two different things, though. I don’t disagree with the fact that he wants chaos. I don’t disagree with the fact that he wants mayhem. I don’t disagree with the fact that we may have some hint of fragility in this country after November 3rd. There is a legitimate possibility that on election night, Donald Trump is leading this race. But he will not be the valid winner after all of the ballots are counted. And that will be moments of fragility in this country, where he wants to gin up supporters, where he wants to have mayhem and violence in the streets. That is a fact. There also is another fact, though, that after he loses this election, that on noon on January 20th, there will be secret service agents that escort him to a helicopter that will take him wherever in the world he wants to go. Both of those things —
CAMEROTA: I’m not actually talking about him staying in the White House. I think that as of yesterday, there’s a bigger concern. I don’t think that him just establishing squatter’s rights in the White House is our biggest concern anymore, Scott. I really don’t. I think that it’s now that he’s open for business when it comes to violence. He said as much. Scott?
JENNINGS: Yeah, I didn’t hear him talk about violence yesterday. I heard him make a very, very poor response to a legitimate question. And so I think you’re reading into something that he didn’t say. I would —
CAMEROTA: He certainly didn’t shut it down.
JENNINGS: — Bakari raised a good point, though, about the period of time between election night and the few weeks that persist. Because it’s clear, based on the voting systems in several of the states, that we are going to be counting ballots for a period of time. And so we do have to have a valid winner. And we will have a valid winner. And that should be the point. And everybody’s vote should count. Everybody who cast a legal ballot should have their votes counted and when we count those votes, we should have a legal and valid winner. And that’s the process we should want. And when it’s over we’ll transition. That’s the message and it’s no more complicated than that.
CAMEROTA: I hope you guys are right. I hope. I like how sanguine you are. I hope that it’s right.
