Luther Strange Sought to Weaken Alabama’s Tough Immigration Law

Back in 2011, Sen. Luther Strange (R-AL) sought to weaken what at the time was one of the country’s toughest illegal immigration laws.

As attorney general of Alabama, Strange requested that key provisions of the Beason-Hammon Alabama Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act, also known as HB 56, be removed according to a December 2011 memorandum he sent to then-Alabama House Speaker Mike Hubbard and Senate President Pro Tempore Del Marsh.

The memo, originally obtained by AL.com, showed Strange wanted to end some of the requirements in the law. Among those were a mandate that officials collect information on the immigration status of public school students, the requirement illegal immigrants carry “alien registration” cards and a provision of the law that allowed for lawsuits if the state’s residents did not believe officials were enforcing the law.

Strange said at the time his reasoning for those suggestions was so that the law would be more defensible in a court of law.

However, then-Rep. Micky Hammon (R), one of the bill’s sponsors, indicated those stipulations were part of how HB 56 would make it possible to achieve the goal of combatting illegal immigration.

“My purpose was to make it difficult for illegal immigrants to live and work in Alabama,” Hammon said according to a November 2011 Associated Press report.

America’s Voice, a left-leaning group that seeks to give “full citizenship” for illegal immigrants, or as it calls them “11 million Americans-in-waiting,” applauded Strange’s recommendations.

“The tide is turning,” Van Le wrote for the group in a December 2011 blog post. “The struggle to overturn HB 56, Alabama’s harshest-in-the-land immigration law gained a new ally day before yesterday when state attorney general Luther Strange, a Republican, came out in favor of removing certain portions of the law.”

Eventually, due to pressure from immigration groups, the Obama Justice Department and the federal court system, the law was gutted in a settlement the state of Alabama reached with Strange as attorney general.

In the aftermath, lawmakers acknowledged the settlement had damaged the effectiveness of the law.

“Our bill got eviscerated by the federal government,” State Rep. Jim Carns told The Washington Post in August 2015 when then-GOP presidential hopeful Donald Trump came to Mobile. “It was like 95 percent within the federal standards, but those standards weren’t being enforced. We enforced them, and it worked for several months until the feds did their thing.”

Still, at least in recent days, Strange has attempted to make himself out to be a hawk on the issue of illegal immigration.

The Senate Leadership Fund (SLF), a super PAC backed by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and working on Strange’s behalf, took aim at his opponent former Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore. It alleged he was weak on immigration because of his unfamiliarity with the term “DACA,” the acronym for the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals immigration policy.

The issues of illegal immigration is an important one, give this special election contest is to fill the U.S. Senate seat formerly held by Jeff Sessions, a champion of that cause.

Strange and Moore compete in a runoff election for the Republican nomination on September 26. The winner will go on to face former Clinton U.S. Attorney Doug Jones in a December 12 special election.

Soros-Funded Activists Demand Democrats Oppose Border Security At Any Cost…

Leading activist groups backed by pro-open borders financier George Soros are demanding that congressional Democrats obstruct any measures that allow the administration to enforce existing immigration law, even if they come as part of a package granting amnesty to more than 800,000 “DREAMers.”

Soros-backed “resistance” group Indivisible is partnering with the National Immigration Law Center and United We Dream to increase pressure on all congressional Democrats, but especially House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, whom the activists criticize for having a “cozy relationship with Trump.”

The activists are organizing phone call campaigns this week to pressure Democrats to reject any DACA legislation that includes funding for border security measures.

O’Keefe – who previously exposed corruption among Democratic operatives during the 2016 campaign and more recently exposed garbage news reporting at CNN – hinted the size of this current operation is larger than anything previously seen.

These Women Are About to Make an Incredible Move for Tired Irma Cleanup Crews

Even though Hurricane Irma blew through Florida over a week ago, crews are still working around the clock to try to restore power to the entire state, as well as clean up all the damage.

Some of these workers have been going nonstop for more than a week, and understandably are exhausted, filthy and ready to go home. One photo that is going viral has shown that the people of Florida appreciate all that these workers are doing for them.

The photo, which was posted on Facebook on Saturday by a user identified as Jennifer Taylor Koukos, shows a line of women at the Sebring International Raceway, The Tribunist reported.

The caption to the photo states that the women who are standing in line were actually waiting for the linemen to give them their clothes so that they can be cleaned.

“One lineman asked me what those ladies were standing in line for. When I told him they were waiting to be given laundry, with a look of sheer disbelief he said, “You gotta be kidding me.” What a great night,” read the caption to the photo.

We should note that we can’t verify that is what the women in the photo are actually waiting for, but we have no reason to doubt it at this time.

While liberals might look at this and scream “sexism,” most of America will look at this and realize that we live in a truly special country. These women are helping those who have spent days trying to help a state recover from a crippling storm.

The post had been shared over 19,000 times as of Tuesday morning. Many of the over 1,000 comments on the photo were positive as well.

Most of Florida’s electrical grid was badly damaged during the storm, which has made restoring power for all quite difficult. Some estimates that have floated around say that parts of Florida could be without power until October.

This is a perfect example of what community is all about. These women knew that the workers probably haven’t cleaned their clothes in a long time, and they were willing to take the time to help out in any small way they could.

It is stories like these that show why the United States will always survive anything that gets thrown at us.

Food Stamp Usage Has Fallen Every Month Under Trump

New statistics from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) indicate that the use of food stamps has declined every month under the Trump administration.

The number of people using the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) dropped to 41,310,785 in June 2017, which is more than 2,000,000 fewer participants than in June 2016 and the lowest participation rate since 2010, when it was 40,302,000.

Since President Trump’s inauguration in January, the number of SNAP participants has dropped steadily every month, the largest drops from January to February (408,956) and March to April (521,295). Here are the numbers for January to June (the most recent available data):

  • January 2017 – 42,691,363
  • February 2017 – 42,282,407
  • March 2017 – 42,187,255
  • April 2017 – 41,665,960
  • May 2017 – 41,489,433
  • June 2017 – 41,310,785

This trend is not expected to slow down anytime soon; the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) projects a steady 1 to 2 percent decline in participation per year for at least the next 10 years. The CBO estimates that by 2027, the number of SNAP participants will be around 32.5 million people.

A variety of factors are contributing to the sharp decline in participation, including states like Georgia and Alabama that have instituted work requirements for welfare recipients. Other states are currently working on more strict requirements for participation in the program as well.

President Trump has also proposed cuts to SNAP in the 2018 budget proposal, a move the White House say is about boosting the economy rather than pulling the rug out from underneath people.

Report: Cutting $2.3 Trillion of Government Waste Would Balance Budget in 3 Years

If Congress were to cut unnecessary and wasteful spending in the federal government, it could balance the budget in three years based on recommendations by Citizens Against Government Waste, a nonpartisan organization.

The report, titled "Prime Cuts 2017," outlines 607 recommendations to cut inefficient government spending that would not only balance the budget within three years but also save taxpayers $336.2 billion in the first year and $2.3 trillion over five years.

"The national debt nearly doubled under former President Obama and is poised to exceed $20 trillion before the end of 2017," the group states. "Wasteful government spending can be cut and the nation can start on a path toward fiscal sanity."

The group evaluates this type of wasteful spending in nearly every agency of the federal government including the Environmental Protection Agency, the Labor Department, the Treasury, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Justice Department, and the Department of Commerce.

At the Department of Health and Human Services, if Congress were to reduce improper Medicare payments by 50 percent in five years, the department could save taxpayers $20.6 billion (about $4.1 billion per year).

"Medicare is plagued with the highest reported amount of improper payments of any federal program," the report states. "Because of its chronic vulnerability to fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement, the [Government Accountability Office] has for 20 years designated the Medicare program as ‘high risk.’"

At the Environmental Protection Agency, if Congress were to eliminate the ENERGY STAR program, which is a labeling program to identify energy-efficient products, it could save taxpayers $52 million in just one year.

"A March 2010 GAO report found that the ENERGY STAR program is vulnerable to fraud and abuse," the report said. "The GAO submitted 20 phony products for certification, 15 of which were cleared, including a gas-powered alarm clock."

At the Department of Transportation, if Congress were to eliminate federal subsidies for Amtrak, taxpayers could save $1.4 billion in one year and $5.9 billion in five years. A report found that Amtrak cost taxpayers about $32 per passenger in 2008 and has cost a total of $40 billion since 1971. Amtrak was intended to earn a profit but hasn’t been able to do so.

"By following the blueprint provided by Citizens Against Government Waste Prime Cuts 2017, wasteful government spending would be dramatically cut, and the U.S. would achieve a balanced budget within President Trump’s first term," said Tom Schatz, president of Citizens Against Government Waste. "The only way to put the nation on a path toward fiscal sanity is for leaders to make bold decisions to reduce waste, fraud, abuse, and mismanagement."

Georgia Tech Erupts After Cops Shoot Troubled, Knife-Wielding Tranny Student

In another example of how the left has embraced violence and destruction as a way to resolve issues, a mini-riot erupted on the campus of Georgia Tech University on Monday night.

The uprising was a reaction to the campus police shooting of 21-year-old transgender student Scott “Scout” Schultz who was advancing on officers with a knife over the weekend.

According to reports, Schultz may have been intoxicated and suicidal when he made the 911 call and then engaged in what at least at first glance, appears to have been suicide by cop. He had previously made an attempt to kill himself and received counseling. He reportedly left multiple suicide notes.

There is some dispute over whether the knife was open when Schultz confronted officers as well as if a non-lethal weapon such as a Taser could have been used instead.

But rather than pursue grievances through legitimate channels, the troublemakers took to the streets to engage in acts of vandalism including the burning of a police vehicle. Two officers were injured during the melee.

According to Atlanta’s FOX 5 “Georgia Tech officers injured, SUV torched following vigil”:

Two officers were injured and a police SUV was torched following a candlelight vigil Monday night for a student killed by a campus police officer over the weekend. Three people have been arrested.

It happened near the corner of Hemphill Ave NW near the Georgia Tech Police headquarters just after 9:30 p.m. Campus officials said about 50 people marched from the vigil to the police department.

Two officers were injured, one was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital, but officials said they both should be okay. A police SUV was also set on fire.

“The Atlanta Police Department and Georgia State University Police Department helped restore order relatively quickly. Georgia Tech police arrested Vincent Castillenti, Jacob Wilson, and Cassandra Monden. All three were charged with inciting a riot and battery of an officer,” read a statement from university officials.

“Multiple people who attended made it clear it wasn’t Georgia Tech protesters it was people outside of Georgia Tech,” said witness Kris Harris. “It’s so unnecessary.”

University officials were not able to comment Monday evening on if the three people taken into custody were students.

The shooting of Schultz throws a bit of a monkey wrench into the left’s false narrative that it’s only black males who get shot by police but since he was a transvestite, there will inevitably be a special exception made to turn him into a martyr like Michael Brown.

Schultz’s parents are reportedly planning to sue the university and the police.

CNN Now Advising ‘Transitioning’ Teens on How to Have Anal Sex

CNN continues to struggle after being forced to fire three members of the network’s ace investigative team over a fake news story on former Trump administration figure Anthony ‘the Mooch’ Scaramucci and a Russian investment fund. The anti-Trump network had to endure the humiliation of having to retract the story and issue a public apology to Scaramucci that inflicted what may be permanent damage on the brand.

Then, having been repeatedly bludgeoned by President Trump via Twitter and in press conferences, the network has backed off of the 24/7 Russian conspiracy mongering and trying to fill airtime with other subjects.

Like advising teenagers how to perform sex acts including buggery to assist them with the process of “transitioning” to another gender.

CNN ran a story Monday about a new video documentary created by the network that contains scenes of teaching high schoolers about anal sex, performing oral sex, and transitioning to a new gender.

The documentary, titled, “This Is Sex with Lisa Ling,” features a segment titled, “Sex 101.”

In the video, CNN’s Lisa Ling sits in a classroom with high schoolers, listening to a lesson where a teacher quizzes students on the proper term for a woman receiving oral sex, among other graphic questions.

Other topics taught in this classroom include how to use condoms for anal sex between same-sex couples, after which the CNN host characterizes teaching this as “inclusive.”

The teacher also states that she has students transitioning genders, and that she asks them their preferred pronouns. She also discusses how California passed a new law on sex ed that is creating these discussions in the classroom.

It is not explained why exactly a supposed “news” organization is dispensing smutty sex tips as well as propaganda for transgenderism which seem to be an odd fit on the self-proclaimed “most trusted name in news” but traditional American media is the midst of a serious mental breakdown these days.

Not to mention the hypocrisy of a network that just had a host meltdown over the word “boobs” being uttered that is instructing young people on the proper way to enter through the back door.

Wall Construction Begins Around Eiffel Tower To Protect From Terrorist Attacks

Construction workers began building a giant glass wall around the Eiffel Tower on Monday to shield the historical monument from Islamic terrorist attacks.

Different reports indicate that construction of the wall, announced in February, could cost anywhere from approximately $17–30 million (USD) and will take a little under a year to complete.

The glass wall is intended to replace “temporary metal barriers and prefabricated buildings” that the government installed after deadly Islamic terrorist attacks began rocking the country on a regular basis in early 2015, Deutsche Welle reported.

Builders will erect the 8-foot tall, bullet-proof glass wall on “the two sides of the tower parallel to the river Seine” while the other two sides “will be protected by metal fences designed in the pattern of the tower’s shape.”

The ramped-up security efforts come after several Islamic terrorist attacks have claimed the lives of more than 230 people in the last two years in areas in and around Paris.

“Some 7,000 troops have been deployed under an anti-terrorism operation known as Sentinelle, patrolling streets and guarding tourist hotspots, since the jihadist attack at the offices of Charlie Hebdo magazine in January 2015,” the Economic Times added.

Other major terrorist attacks in the area include the Paris massacre in 2015 that left 130 people dead and the Nice truck attack in July 2016 that left 86 people dead.

In addition to the glass wall, a refurbishing project will launch in 2018 that seeks to repaint the entire tower and replace its aging elevators, as well as build a new reception center in 2021 – all of which is in preparation for the Paris Olympic Games.

At 128-years-old, the Eiffel Tower attracts over six million visitors per year and was Paris’ fourth-most-popular visitor attraction in 2016.

Nancy Pelosi’s Illegal-Alien Invaders Want Open Borders

The little-known group which invaded a press conference by House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi is an alliance of four amnesty and open-borders organizations which are based in and near San Francisco.

The roughly 30 protestors broke up Pelosi’s press event, shouting amnesty for “All of us — or none of us.”

The left-wingers said they were protesting Pelosi’s claimed September 13 deal with President Donald Trump for a quick amnesty and citizenship for at least 3.3 million illegals. Nationwide, the population of illegal immigrants is at least 11 million,

The 30-minute invasion wrecked Pelosi’s orchestrated media event where she and several illegal immigrants were intended to present a reassuring and hopeful message on the claimed amnesty. Instead of a calm image of several middle-class ‘dreamer’ migrants, viewers saw a riotous demand for more uncontrolled mass immigration into the United States.

The “Immigration Liberation Movement” was formed by Faith in Action Bay Area, the California Immigrant Youth Justice Alliance, the East Bay Immigrant Youth Coalition, and a law firm which calls itself Pangea.

The groups try to combine peripheral factions of the left — socialists, illegal immigrants, gays, people trying to live as members of the opposite sex, children of illegal immigrants, Silicon Valley millionaires — to push for open borders, regardless of the huge damage it would cause to the core of the United States.

“We envision a world where the fundamental right to move is respected and appreciated by all,” according to Pangea’s website. “Our view is that all human beings are entitled to respect, documents, and a process through which to move, settle and resettle in the world.”

The site said the Pangea name is copied from the unified Pangea land-mass that existed before the several continents were forced apart millions of years ago.

The political activity does create revenue for social activists. For example, the Pangea law firm employs several lawyers to help block the enforcement of immigration law, saying:

Pangea was created to help fill the great need for the representation of immigrants in both, detained and non-detained, immigration courts.  With over 32,000* immigrants in deportation proceedings in the San Francisco Immigration Court, there is a great need for court and immigration defense services.  Immigrants in removal proceedings need a lawyer because of the complexity of immigration law and the negative consequences of deportation. Also, many immigrants in the court process are eligible for relief or protection under existing laws, and they may have a pathway to citizenship.

The four groups’ goal of open borders would have a huge impact on the United States.

The world’s population is roughly 7.5 billion. That adds up to roughly 20 foreigners for every American, and one European for every 15 non-Europeans.

A 2010 poll by Gallup showed that roughly 6.2 million Mexicans wish to migrate into the United States, as do 23 million Chinese, 17 million Indians, 9 million Ethiopians, 7.8 million people Bangladesh, 77 million people from Brazil, 5 million from Vietnam and many millions more. “If all of the adults worldwide who tell Gallup they would like to move to another country actually did so, the United States could see a net population gain of 60%,” Gallup reported.
