Trump on GOP Senators: ‘We’re Not Getting the Job Done, and I’m Not Going to Blame Myself’

President Donald Trump took a swipe at Senate Republicans at a Cabinet meeting on Monday, blaming them for "not getting the job done" while exonerating himself.

Trump’s comment came in response to a reporter’s question on former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon’s "war on" Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.).

Trump said that Bannon is "very committed" and "a friend of mine" before adding, "Despite what the press writes, I have great relationships with actually many senators, but in particular with most Republican senators."

Trump then said he is disappointed in the lack of legislative progress during his time in office, but excluded himself from any blame for it.

"But we’re not getting the job done, and I’m not going to blame myself," he said. "I’ll be honest. They are not getting the job done."

"We’ve had health care approved and then you had a surprise vote by [Sen.] John McCain [R., Ariz.]. We’ve had other things happen. And they’re not getting the job done," Trump continued.

The president then said he could "understand" where Bannon and others are coming from with their dissatisfaction with Republican leaders in Congress.

"I can understand where a lot of people are coming from, because I’m not happy about it and a lot of people aren’t happy about it," Trump said. "We need tax cuts. We need health care."

Trump then said that "we’re going to get the health care done," claiming that "Obamacare is finished; it’s dead, gone. You shouldn’t even mention it."

He suggested finding a short-term fix to the country’s health care system to prevent premiums from continuing to increase for many Americans.

Apple ‘head of diversity’ apologizes for saying white men are not all exactly the same

Pretty delicious irony here: If your job is “head of diversity,” you don’t have to design computers or software or anything like that. But you can fail at your job, and you would do that by acknowledging that there’s any concept of diversity apart from what the cultural orthodoxy says.

Trump Talks Welfare Crackdown: ‘Some People Are Really Taking Advantage Of Our System’

During a Monday Cabinet meeting, President Donald Trump hinted at a welfare crackdown.

“Some people are really taking advantage of our system,” said Trump. “And we are going to be looking very, very strongly therefore at welfare reform.”

“People are taking advantage of the system and then other people aren’t receiving what they really need to live,” continued the president. “And we think it’s very unfair to them.”

The Republicans, who have a majority in both the House and the Senate, have yet to pass an Obamacare replacement, something they’ve run on for some eight years; tax reform is expected to hit Trump’s desk before January 1; and legislation to seemingly legalize Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients has been tossed to Congress.

As reported by CNN, Trump did not harp on welfare reform during the 2016 presidential election: “Welfare reform was not something Trump emphasized on the campaign trail, but his first budget proposal — unveiled earlier this year — proposed sweeping cuts to food stamps and welfare programs by restricting those who are eligible for such programs.”

“We want to get our people off of welfare and back to work,” said Trump during the 2016 campaign. “So important. It’s out of control. It’s out of control.”

NRA Spokeswoman Forced to Move Family Due to Leftist Death Threats

The derangement of the left following President Trump’s election victory is tip-toeing a very fine line between seething, ready to explode fury and full-scale violence and someone is going to end up getting killed unless someone emerges as a leader.

The Democrats, their surrogates, and most of all, the head of the left’s government in exile Hillary Clinton, continue to push the buttons of the crazies on a daily basis and very soon, there will be a high-profile murder or two that could trigger civil unrest but that is exactly what a certain sore loser seems to want.

NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch isn’t taking any chances as death threats that she has reportedly been receiving since the Las Vegas shooting have resulted in her having to uproot her family and make a sudden move for the safety of herself and her family.

Loesch took to Twitter to tell the story and to call out the leftist fanatics ignoring the treatment of conservative women while getting on their high horses over Hollywood pervert Harvey Weinstein’s victims as well as to emphasize why it is important for women to be cognizant of their Second Amendment rights.

Loesch did have one very notable reply who offered her sympathy – Chelsea Clinton!

Perhaps she should try speaking with her mother for all of the poison that she pumps out on a daily basis.

It is American tradition for the losers of elections to participate in a peaceful transfer of power, not goad on unstable lunatics to mount an insurrection against the winner.

Saints Schmucks Booed for Kneeling During Tribute to Slain New Orleans Cop

Fans at the Mercedes Benz Superdome for yesterday’s game between the New Orleans Saints and the Detroit Lions were treated to another show of how little respect that many of the team’s players have for this once great country’s institutions.

The same team that visited London and protested the Star-Spangled Banner while standing for the anthem of the British Empire “God Save the Queen” returned to their home turf where they once again hit their knees.

While it was before the national anthem, many of the players kneeled during a tribute to New Orleans police officer Marcus McNeil who was ambushed by a cop-hating punk on Friday.

They were justifiable BOOED!

According to the New Orleans Times-Picayune “Fans boo kneeling New Orleans Saints players during tribute to fallen NOPD officer”:

Fans booed New Orleans Saints players who knelt before the presentation of the American flag and the singing of the national anthem Sunday at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

The boos rang down during a moment of silence for fallen NOPD officer Marcus McNeil, who was killed in the line of duty Friday.

The fans cheered when the players stood before the anthem, which was performed by former Saintsation Deri Tucker.

Sunday’s game vs. the Lions was the Saints’ first at the Dome since President Trump weighed in on protesting NFL players during a campaign rally in Alabama last month.

Officer Marcus McNeil – a 29-year-old who was the father of two young daughters – was an African-American as was his killer and the players are conducting their protests in the name of a movement that espouses and legitimizes contempt towards the nation’s law enforcement officers.

The Saints who remained on their knees should be ashamed of themselves and if owner Tom Benson had any decency he would suspend them.
