She was never a supporter of Donald Trump for president of the United States, but now that she’s seen his success in office, one Republican journalist openly admitted she’s “thrilled” he’s the man in the White House.

Mollie Hemingway, senior editor at The Federalist, wrote a column in The Washington Post to explain why she did not formerly support the president, but now applauds his achievements in office.

Hemingway explained that she expected President Trump to be progressive, liberal, cater towards corporations and fail to keep his promises.

But one year into his presidency, all that has changed.

Hemingway cited Trump’s nomination of Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court as the first turning point.

Her support for President Trump snowballed from there on.

“He has appointed 12 outstanding federal appellate judges — a record number for a president in his first year,” Hemingway wrote.

“By comparison, President Barack Obama had only three in his first year,” she explained.

The journalist also cited other victories — the U.S. departure from the Paris climate accord, revoking the Clean Power Plan, historic corporate tax reform, victory over the Islamic State group and deregulation as just a few reasons why she now is happy Trump is in the Oval Office.

“If Trump were ever inclined to indulge his liberal tendencies after winning the election, the stridency and spite of his opponents have provided him with no incentives to do so,” she wrote.

“My expectations were low — so low that he could have met them by simply not being President Hillary Clinton. But a year into this presidency, he’s exceeded those expectations by quite a bit. I’m thrilled,” Hemingway concluded.

If Hemingway was able to share her story in such a public way, imagine how many others have changed their minds about President Trump after seeing his massive success in the Oval Office.

Hemingway certainly isn’t the only one. Many Republicans had a hard time getting on board the Trump train, but after Trump’s showed he knew what he was doing in office, they’ve decided to come along for the ride.

The latest batch of Hillary Clinton’s emails was just released, and it proves she knew exactly what she was doing when she sent classified information over a private email server.

Those 78 pages of emails were released by the conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch on Friday.

And there was plenty of proof that Clinton had been “extremely careless” with national secrets, as former FBI Director James Comey described it (in the watered-down version approved by a Clinton supporter in the FBI).

According to Judicial Watch, for instance, on Aug. 24, 2010, Clinton emailed an aide, Justin Cooper, asking him to print classified information, though Cooper had no security clearance to do so.

Cooper had asked State Department IT aide Bryan Pagliano to set up Clinton’s private email server.

In a June 6, 2011, email, Cooper even warned about security issues with the emails and Clinton’s personal cellular devices, according to Fox News.

“We also have some new security features and policies [sic] that I would like to add to any new berry you have –the most noticeable difference will require a more complex password,” Cooper wrote. “It is a constant fight to keep up with the security measures and unfortunately we keep seeing reminders of why we need to.”

So, even Clinton’s own aides were reminding her of the security issues at stake and she remained oblivious — or utterly uncaring. Obviously, security was not a high priority for the then-secretary of state.

In other emails, they discussed backup emails, how to set up Clinton’s Blackberrys and iPads and other internal information

Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said the newest batch of information proves what Hillary supporters refuse to accept — and what earlier investigations did not get to the bottom of: The proverbial smoking gun.

“The fact that Hillary Clinton and her agents tried to destroy or hide emails shows how she flagrantly and knowingly violated the laws that protect classified information and government records,” Fitton wrote in a Judical Watch news release.

“And these new emails refute Hillary Clinton’s repeated claims of having little or no knowledge about her email system. She clearly was fully in charge of setting up her outlaw email system and overseeing its use.”

You’ll remember, on July 2, 2016, Clinton was interviewed by the FBI about her use of those private email servers. Clinton told the agents she “could not recall” any briefing or training about the retention of records or handling classified information, according to CNN.

Is there anyone in America — even Hillary Clinton supporters — who thinks that’s true?

Additionally, according to The Associated Press, in a separate, sworn court filing, Clinton said 21 times that she “did not recall” ever sending classified information over that private server. The emails Judicial Watch released on Friday prove that she did.

As special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation has reminded the country, lying to the FBI is a crime — at least when it’s done by Donald Trump Associates.

The last time we checked, lying under oath is perjury. In a federal case, it carries sentence is up to five years in jail — at least when it’s done by someone who’s not named “Clinton.”

It was clear two years ago and it’s clear now: Hillary Clinton has done more than enough to belong behind bars.

A year ago, President Trump committed to the American people to build a wall along the United States-Mexico border to stop illegal immigration and the flow of drugs into the country.

A year later, Trump is still promising to build the border wall, as prototypes of what the wall could look like sit in the San Diego, California, desert and border-crossings surge back to President Obama-era illegal immigration levels.

Since September 2017, eight border wall prototypes have sat in San Diego, being tested by U.S. Customs and Border Protection and toured countlessly by government officials.

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen toured the border wall prototypes in December 2017, telling Fox News that the wall was paramount to ending illegal immigration.

“We got to have a wall, we’re going to have a wall. But then you need the technology, you need the people, you need the censors, you need the cameras, you need the monitoring, to make sure that that wall is as effective as it can be,” Nielsen said.

A month later, Nielsen and the Trump administration have continued to struggle to secure the full $18 billion funding for the border wall from a Republican-controlled Congress that remains dedicated to the big business lobby’s interests on immigration, constantly demanding more legal immigration and continued access to illegal alien workers.

While the prototypes continue collecting dust in the San Diego region, border-crossings under Trump have surged back to where they were under Obama, a pattern that proves pro-American immigration reformers’ assertion that talk of cracking down on illegal immigration will only deter illegal immigrants from breaching the southern border for so long.

Between April 2017—when border-crossings hit a historic low—and December 2017, family unit border-crossings have surged 625 percent, Breitbart Texas reported, with the last month of 2017 even exceeding the number of border-crossings under Obama.

In the month of December alone, U.S. Border Patrol agents apprehended almost 30,000 illegal aliens trying to cross into the country between ports of entry, where Trump’s border wall would be sitting if it were constructed today.

As Breitbart News reported, for the last two months of 2017, the Republican establishment, Nielsen, and Democrats have floated the idea of giving amnesty to nearly 800,000 illegal aliens shielded from deportation by the President Obama-created Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

The mere talk of the DACA amnesty has coincided with surges in border-crossings, with Nielsen admitting last month that human smugglers on the southern border and future illegal aliens pay close attention to the national immigration debate in the U.S. to decide when will be the best time to cross into the country illegally.

Nearing the end of the first month of 2017, the Republican-controlled Congress has yet to hand over full funding for the border wall, and more importantly, have shifted focus to getting DACA illegal aliens a pathway to U.S. citizenship.

A group of cheerleaders froma Texas high school have won a court case to continue to display Bible verses on their banners.

According to First Liberty, the cheerleaders of Kountze High School in the southeast corner of the Lone Start State always had banners at their games, decorated with uplifting Bible messages.

One day in 2012, the superintendent received a complaint from the Wisconsin-based Freedom From Religion Foundation.

As a result, the school district ordered the cheer team to stop displaying Bible quotes.

So, the cheerleaders went to the Texas Supreme Court to fight for their First Amendment right to free speech.

In January 2016, the Texas Supreme Court unanimously voted in favor of the cheerleaders.

But the battle didn’t end there.

According to the Dallas Morning News, in September 2017, the 9th Court of Appeals backed the Texas Supreme Court’s decision.

The normally liberal appeals court ruled the cheerleaders’ rights to display Bible quotes was “private speech” and thus should continue.

According to PR Newswire, the decision was not only a victory for the cheerleaders, but served as an example to other school districts in the state.

In a news release, Hiram Sasser, general counsel to First Liberty, said: “We are pleased that once again religious liberty is vindicated and that cheerleaders across the state of Texas have the right to have religious messages on banners at high school football games.”

“No school district should be able to censor, ban, or claim ownership of the private religious speech of its students,” he continued.

We applaud these brave women for standing up for their religion and their rights as American citizens.

The government can not and should not try to take those rights away.
