Protestors have disrupted a speech by London mayor Sadiq Khan to the left-wing Fabian Society, attempting to subject him to a citizen’s arrest.

“Ladies and gentlemen, we’re here today to make a non-violent, peaceful citizen’s arrest,” said a man who opened the protest by standing up and reading a statement, according to Sky News.

Surrounded by security, they declared: “We stand under common law jurisdiction. If you touch us, you’ll be done for common assault. Please stand back, do not touch us.”

They are reported to have been motivated by Khan’s continued efforts to sabotage Britain’s exit from the European Union and by his outspoken opposition to U.S. President Donald Trump visiting the country. One carried a small American flag.

Khan’s speech was delayed by some 15 minutes before the group was ejected, after which he sneered at them as “very stable geniuses” — a reference to one of President Trump’s recent tweets.

The protesters seemed unperturbed, telling reporters they were “heading to the pub”.

London’s first Muslim mayor has been under increasing pressure in recent months as his city has been rocked by terrorist attacks and a wave of violent crime, and he has increasingly retreated into pronouncements on international affairs which fall far outside his remit.

Despite claims by Khan in March 2017 that London is “the safest global city in the world, and one of the safest cities in the world,” the latest crime statistics show youth homicides are up by an astonishing 70 per cent.

Total homicides are up by 27.1 per cent, serious youth violence 19 per cent, robbery 33.4 per cent, and burglaries 18.7 per cent, among a host of other double-digit rises.

Figures like these are thanks in no small part to Khan diverting resources into controversial projects such as his online hate crime hub, and his determination to “do everything in my power to cut stop and search” by police — which he considered problematic due to its supposedly disproportionate use against ethnic minorities.

He is now changing course on stop and search and seeking to increase its use “significantly”, following a surge in knife crime and London being crowned the world’s acid attack capital.

The mayor also recently admitted that around 200 former Islamic State fighters are at large in London, and that most are not being monitored.

Months of headlines such as these culminated in Breitbart London editor-in-chief Raheem Kassam calling out the mayor for his long record of failures in an interview with Sky News which has gone viral, blasting: “To borrow a phrase from Donald Trump, London’s turning into a shithole under Sadiq Khan.”

The protestors at Khan’s speech told Sky News political correspondent Laura Bundock that politicians are “employed by us, the people” and “should do as we say”, but had “broken their oaths of office”. They also accused the Fabian Society which was hosting the mayor of “subverting” the constitution.

The hugely influential political society, which is committed to achieving a classless, socialist state by stealth rather than revolution, has had its share of controversies since its founding in the 1880s.

Playwright George Bernard Shaw, arguably its most famous leader, once remarked that, as Socialists, the movement had “nothing to do with liberty”, and that democracy was “incompatible with Socialism”. He also described Soviet dictator Vladimir Lenin as the “greatest statesman of Europe,” and called his successor Stalin “a good Fabian”.

Leading Fabians Sidney and Beatrice Webb, too, who are often praised in left-wing circles for laying the groundwork for the modern welfare state, were also Soviet apologists, and pooh-poohed reports of the mass starvation of millions of Ukrainians as fantasy when it was exposed by Welsh journalist Gareth Jones.

Every Labour prime minister, from Ramsay MacDonald to Gordon Brown, has been a Fabian Society member.

“It’s shaking the tech world. Our own shithole is Silicon Valley, which we cover, and it’s ablaze,” declared Madine in response to the Project Veritas investigation which revealed employees bragging about censorship against conservatives. “What James O’Keefe and Project Veritas captured are these Twitter employees [and] former Twitter employees speaking very frankly, very openly, because they’ve never had any consequences — they don’t understand that any other worldview than theirs exist — talking about the ways that they censor conservatives, drive conservative thought off their platform, various tricks they use, how embarrassing it would be if other people find out, how if an account is interested in God, guns, and America that it must be a Russian bot, so they drive them off the platform. It’s just mind-boggling stuff.”

“If I was to try to summarize it very briefly, what it boils down to is, one, them bragging about having systems and even artificial intelligence they’re developing to drive conservatives off the platform or making them very hard to track in terms of  following people,” he continued. “They talk about letting individual employees exercise their bias, like, ‘I don’t like Trump so if I see people that like Trump, I’m just going to ban them.’ But to just briefly touch on probably the most important thing for people to understand, because it’s the worst, is shadow banning.”

“The idea of shadow banning is to make someone think they’re a perfectly normal account, tweeting out, when in reality it’s like they’re kind of shouting into a black hole. No one sees their tweets, their engagement craters, their retweets crater. They do this to normal people like you and I, and they do it to major personalities,” Madine explained. “Some of the big names on Twitter experience this, and they can show it on graphs. You can see the graph nosedive… On Breitbart Tech we’ve been talking about this for eighteen months… One of the pieces we put out today is, ‘ Here are five pieces we’ve done over the past eighteen months that say exactly what Twitter employees said today.’ So we’ve been on top of this, but now it’s them glibly admitting it.”

Breitbart News Senior Editor-at-Large Rebecca Mansour then pointed out to listeners that though Twitter is a private company, they have also become the public square online.

“Now I know that some people will probably say, ‘Now wait a minute, it’s a private company and they have the right to do…’” Mansour proclaimed. “When you have a company like Twitter that has become so important to our dialogue in our nation, it has become such an important platform, it has literally become like the cyber public square, and when you have this private corporation doing this sort of thing, they can be as stifling of your free speech as any government, because Twitter has become, as I said, the public square, so I just want people to keep that in mind because I know there’s going to be libertarians that say ‘It’s a private corporation and who cares, they have the right to ban you,’ but just keep that in mind, folks.”

Madine explained, “Twitter’s changed to be this Twitter we know today. It is really tied to the CEO Jack Dorsey, who’s the co-founder of the company but wasn’t in charge for many years. The previous CEO was very much a free speech supporter, and he fought internally for free speech, even though of course he’s liberal like all of them, but he saw the value for his company in free speech — but Jack Dorsey came back in, brought a wave of progressive politics, and it’s been downhill since.”

“If anyone out there has always wondered why does Twitter not have basic functions like an edit button, or why is Twitter down regularly? Or the pictures don’t load? It’s because instead of hiring more of those good engineers who build things and make cool things happen online, they’re hiring censors to keep conservatives off their platform, and they’re hiring censors to watch those censors and make sure they censor the right stuff,” he concluded. “If the ideas are so clownishly wrong, just blow us out in debate. But instead what you see is there can’t be a debate, they have to shut down all discussion… They have to gerrymander their platforms to keep Breitbart articles from trending.”

Altrincham Grammar for Girls sent out a letter last week informing student’s parents that teachers would officially be prohibited from referring to their students as “girls.”

Headteacher Stephanie Gill explained in a letter to the student’s parents: “We are working to break ingrained habits in the way we speak to and about students, particularly referring to them collectively as “girls.”

In an interview with the BBC, a local resident condemned the decision. “It’s ridiculous. We live in an age where we have to respect people’s views and if people have issues around gender and sexuality we have to understand that. But girls should be referred to as girls,” the resident said.

Chris McGovern of the Campaign for Real Education praised the intentions of the school but ultimately derided the decision as “complete folly.” ‘The intentions are good, but children who have issues over their gender identity can be treated with respect without the English language being altered to accommodate them,’ he said.

“Instead, this kind of move risks leading to more bullying of transgender pupils who may wrongly be blamed for this move,” he added.

Others were more supportive of the decision. Cambridge undergraduate student and Manchester resident Hannah Dawson praised the decision, arguing that its a victory for transgender students.

“God forbid teachers actually respect their students gender identity — people getting her up about the news need to calm down — it takes very little effort to change language for teachers but such effort could mean the world to a trans student,” Dawson said.

In a statement, the school argued that the decision was made to ensure that all students feel comfortable.

“It’s important our students feel comfortable and able to bring their true selves to the learning environment,” the school said. “We welcome and celebrate diversity at our school and we will look at any measure, however small, to ensure the wellbeing of our staff and students.”

 

Early last year I wrote a piece here at Downtrend about Richard Melville Hall who is more widely known by his stage name MOBY and who had claimed that he had proof of super-secret special intel that would show that President Donald Trump colluded with Russia.

That would be John Brennan’s CIA, the former Obama appointee who is one of the dirtiest bastards in the annals of Deep State history and he has a LOT of competition and there is still hope that Brennan will end up having his fat ass stuffed into a 4×6 cage at Gitmo.

“They said, like, ‘Look, you have more of a social media following than any of us do, can you please post some of these things just in a way that… sort of put it out there.’”

Last February, following the Presidential inauguration of Donald Trump, Moby posted on social media claiming to have insider information on connections between the Trump administration and Russia. The producer/DJ said that “after talking to friends in DC,” he had allegedly learned that the Fusion GPS dossier was “100% real” and that the Russian government was “blackmailing” the president. Now, in a new interview with WFPK in Louisville, Kentucky, Moby has doubled down on his claims (as CoS points out).

Talking with WFPK’s Kyle Meredith, Moby cited “active and former CIA agents” who were “truly concerned” about Trump’s collusion with Russia. “They were like, ‘This is the Manchurian Candidate, like [Putin] has a Russian agent as the President of the United States,’” he said. “So they passed on some information to me and they said, like, ‘Look, you have more of a social media following than any of us do, can you please post some of these things just in a way that … sort of put it out there.’”

He added, “It’s really disturbing and it’s going to get quite a lot darker. Like the depths of the Trump family in business and their involvement with organized crime, sponsored terrorism, Russian oligarchs, it’s really dark. I guess we should all, like, fasten our seat belts and hold on.”

If this is true, then it would certainly beg a lot of very disturbing questions. The CIA has long enlisted the domestic media in the dissemination of propaganda (see: Operation Mockingbird) and there are a number of books that have been written on the subject.

This would certainly call into question the role of the Deep State in the plot to remove Trump from office and while Moby could just be looking to grab attention, the CIA and Deep State are fully aware of the power of celebrity when it comes to influencing public opinion.

So, what do all of you deplorables think? Is the Deep State using these entertainers to overthrow the legitimately elected POTUS? Moby may be a liberal dweeb but there is something very odd with the way that the media and entertainment industries in this country are currently being used to take down Trump – it’s almost like what the spooks do in foreign regime change operations.

There is a lot more to this than people might think because television-movies-music-video games are the ultimate form of social control.

Liberals claim to be “tolerant” and “inclusive” — until someone dares to disagree with them.

That hypocrisy was on full display during a recent exchange on CNN, when a leftist anti-Trump “Republican” lashed out at a fellow guest with threats for not having the same views.

Rick Wilson is a GOP political strategist, but he’s also a notorious “never Trumper” who has made vile attacks on supporters of the president in the past.

Wilson was up to his old dirty tricks on Thursday, when another panelist named John Fredericks stated that the president’s recent “s**thole” comment about nations was about the economic reality of those countries, not race.

Things got heated quickly, after the anti-Trumper all but called his fellow guest a KKK member. Wilson flippantly told Fredericks to “go on Amazon, order yourself a pointy white hat, head down to Home Depot and get the wood to build a burning cross.”

The Trump supporter tried to take the high road and shrug off what can only be seen as a personal insult.

“Well, it’s about economics, Rick. You can throw all the insults you want, and I appreciate it,” Fredericks answered, “but look, at the end of the day…”

Then Wilson went ever lower.

“No, John. You don’t appreciate it,” the leftist lashed out. “You’re a weak, impotent person who can’t handle the fact that there are people who don’t look like you.”

“You hate that, you hate it so much, because you’re so weak inside,” Wilson spat out.

Again, Fredericks shrugged off the personal slander and took the high road, pointing out that nothing the CNN contributor had just said was actually an argument.

“That’s your substantive argument to me, Rick Wilson, who backed every losing candidate,” Fredericks responded.

Wilson’s comeback? A direct threat.

Welcome to leftist tolerance and acceptance: When somebody disagrees with them, they threaten to gut them like a fish.

Rick Wilson is the same unhinged leftist who supported Hillary Clinton over Trump, and smeared anybody who voted for the president as “childless single men who masturbate to anime,” according to The New York Times. He also made lewd sexual comments to conservative commentator Ann Coulter. What a classy guy.

It’s worth remembering that this personal attack came about because of one reason: Fredericks simply called a spade a spade, and agreed with Trump’s alleged comment that Haiti and many African countries are pretty crummy.

Here’s the actual definition of the word Trump used, from the Oxford Dictionary: “An extremely dirty, shabby, or otherwise unpleasant place.”

As Tucker Carlson recently pointed out, the entire reason so many migrants are fleeing places like Haiti is because their countries are “shabby and unpleasant.” Disliking the term Trump used is one thing; flying into a rage because part of the world was accurately described is something else entirely.

An invited guest on CNN is now being called a KKK member and threatened with violence for refusing to deny reality. This is a page out of Orwell’s 1984: Telling the truth is now off limits, and everything must be covered up with doublespeak and innuendos.

The left is essentially forcing people to repeat something they know is untrue — “Haiti is actually a paradise and it’s racist to say otherwise” — under threat and duress.

That’s a tactic that is straight out of the KGB or North Korea. Repeat that the West is evil and communism is wonderful. Repeat it! You wouldn’t want to be gutted like a fish, would you?

The fact that this kind of intimidation to parrot narratives and lie about the world is happening in full view, on CNN, should alarm every American who believes in reality and honesty. This is deeply disturbing, and it needs to be exposed.
