Dispirited by an inability to save DACA, Democrats and liberal activists will be doing a hissy fit hat dance as news of another operation by Immigration and Customs Enforcement has been revealed.

ICE agents have descended at nearly one hundred locations belonging to the popular convenience store chain 7-Eleven in multiple states to verify the credentials of employees and their legality to be in the United States.

According to Associated Press reports “Immigration agents descend on 7-Eleven stores in 17 states”:

Seven immigration agents filed into a 7-Eleven store before dawn Wednesday, waited for people to go through the checkout line and told arriving customers and a driver delivering beer to wait outside. A federal inspection was underway, they said.

Within 20 minutes, they verified that the cashier had a valid green card and served notice on the owner to produce hiring records in three days.

The well-rehearsed scene, executed with quiet efficiency in Los Angeles’ Koreatown, played out at about 100 7-Eleven stores in 17 states and the District of Columbia, a rolling operation that officials called the largest immigration action against an employer under Donald Trump’s presidency.

The so-called employment audits and interviews with store workers could lead to criminal charges or fines. And they appeared to open a new front in Trump’s expansion of immigration enforcement, which has already brought a 40 percent increase in deportation arrests and pledges to spend billions of dollars on a border wall with Mexico.

A top official at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said Wednesday’s operation was “the first of many” and “a harbinger of what’s to come” for employers.

Agents are participating in a long overdue crackdown on employers who hire illegal aliens, therefore depriving law-abiding and LEGAL American citizens of jobs and otherwise serve to depress wages. It has long been believed by many that the quickest way to solve the nation’s illegal immigration problems would be to punish those who are hiring illegals.

Quite simply put, without jobs, there would be less of a reason to stay here nor the allure to undertake big risks to leave the countries that they came from.

According to a statement from ICE Deputy Director Thomas Honan:

“Today’s actions send a strong message to U.S. businesses that hire and employ an illegal workforce: ICE will enforce the law, and if you are found to be breaking the law, you will be held accountable,” said Thomas D. Homan, ICE Deputy Director and Senior Official Performing the Duties of the Director. “Businesses that hire illegal workers are a pull factor for illegal immigration and we are working hard to remove this magnet. ICE will continue its efforts to protect jobs for American workers by eliminating unfair competitive advantages for companies that exploit illegal immigration.”

Judging from the early reaction on Twitter and social media, the left is infuriated at this development, accusing ICE agents of being “jack-booted thugs”, “Nazis”, “fascists” and all of the other standard pejoratives that are tossed in the direction of those tasked with enforcing the law.

To say that this is an existential crisis for the Democrats is an understatement and comes at a particularly bad time with Latino activists furious that Nancy Pelosi reneged on her promises to give all of the illegal alien DREAMERS amnesty for Christmas.

The left seems to have found their new hero: Oprah Winfrey.

Ever since the media mogul gave a speech at the Golden Globes promising a new era of feminism, liberals have been abuzz with the prospect of an Oprah presidential run — and they have held up the billionaire as some sort of savior from the sexual assault scandals that have plagued Hollywood.

There’s just one major problem: It looks like Winfrey is far from blameless. Countless photos show the talk show host partying and schmoozing with Harvey Weinstein, and it looks all but impossible that she didn’t know the disgraced producer preyed on young actresses for years.

Now, one of those actresses is speaking out, but she’s not just calling out Weinstein. A U.K. actress named Kadian Noble claims that sexual predator Harvey Weinstein actually used his association with Winfrey to get her into a hotel room… and Oprah seemed to have no problem going along with the pervert’s games.

“British actress Kadian Noble said Tuesday she was head-over-heels impressed when she first met Weinstein at an event in London because he was hanging out with model [Naomi] Campbell and had megastar Oprah ‘swinging off his arm,’” reported The New York Post’s Page Six.

“I thought, obviously, this man has something amazing in store for me,” Noble recalled while fighting back tears during a recent press conference.

“Instead, Weinstein used promises of career advancement to lure the actress to his hotel room in Cannes, France, where he forced himself on her,” Page Six explained.

“I felt completely played,” Noble said.​

Noble is now suing Weinstein for allegedly “grooming” her for his sexual assaults, while promising career advancement in return.

“Kadian claims that Weinstein then called an unnamed Weinstein Company producer in the US, who told Kadian ‘that she needed to be ‘a good girl and do whatever he wished,’ and if she did, then ‘they would work’ with her further,” Page Six reported.

The lawsuit names a specific sexual assault that supposedly took place in a French hotel room. Perhaps the most damaging, however, is the assertion that insiders around Weinstein were very aware of the repeated sexual assaults, but did nothing.

“Kadian also is suing Weinstein’s brother, Bob, and their company The Weinstein Company, claiming that they were aware that Harvey had a reputation for forcing or coercing ‘aspiring young actresses’ to engage in sexual activity,” The Post stated.

Other celebrities have already admitted to knowing what was going on, but staying silent. Jane Fonda, Brad Pitt, and Seth MacFarlane have all indicated that they were aware of Weinstein’s assaults on women.

More and more, it looks like the producer’s perversions were an open secret among the Hollywood elite. It doesn’t get more elite than Oprah, and if she was as close to Weinstein as countless photos show, there is no room for her to take the moral high ground.

Taking advantage of women is clearly and unequivocally wrong, but so is being part of the sick game and refusing to speak out.

Oprah’s newfound position as the “savior” of Hollywood and America is nothing but a facade. The truth is that the people around Weinstein, Kevin Spacey, Matt Lauer, and all the rest knew what was happening. They kept quiet because it helped their careers.

“MeToo” is starting to look less like a social justice hashtag, and more like an admission from all the celebrities who were complicit while harassment continued. Oprah knew. “Her, too.”

The latest tactic used by liberal critics and haters of President Donald Trump in their never-ending effort to remove him from office is to question his mental health and stability.

They ludicrously suggest that Vice President Mike Pence and other members of Trump’s cabinet, along with two-thirds of both houses of Congress, invoke the 25th Amendment of the Constitution to declare Trump as “unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office” due to mental incompetence.

But according to the Washington Examiner, famed liberal attorney and Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz took great issue with this “very dangerous” growing trend among the left to “pathologize” their political opponents during an appearance Sunday on “Fox & Friends.”

“There’s only one thing worse than trying to criminalize political differences, and that’s trying to psychiatrize them,” Dershowitz stated.

“These psychiatrists now who are trying to diagnose without ever having met the man, that’s what they did in Russia. I represented dissidents who they locked up in mental hospitals,” he continued. “That’s what they did in China. That’s what they did in apartheid South Africa.”

“How dare liberals, people on the left, try to undo democracy by accusing a president of being mentally ill without any basis?” he asked disgustedly.

According to The Washington Times, Dershowitz took special exception to the way the left was tossing about the 25th Amendment as a means to remedy their political disagreements with Trump.

“The 25th Amendment doesn’t apply. Everybody knew who Donald Trump was when they elected him,” Dershowitz said. “I didn’t vote for him, I voted against him, people voted for him, but he hasn’t changed in office and this idea of diagnosing him instead of opposing him politically poses an enormous danger.”

“The 25th Amendment is not supposed to be invoked if you don’t like somebody’s politics or you don’t like his style,” he continued. “It’s not going to happen. It’s designed for people who are totally incompetent, not people who you disagree with.”

In an op-ed written for Fox News, the famed liberal lawyer expounded upon what he had said during his appearance on “Fox & Friends” over the weekend.

“I find it unprofessional, unethical and absurd for any mental health professional who has not examined President Trump to offer a diagnosis or psychiatric prediction about him,” he wrote.

While he noted that everyone was entitled to their own political opinion, he wrote, “(P)sychiatrists and other mental health professionals have no more right to pathologize a President or a candidate because they disagree with his or her political views than do prosecutors or politicians have a right to criminalize political opponents.”

Dershowitz recalled how Arizona Republican Sen. Barry Goldwater had been smeared by the left as “mentally unstable and psychologically unfit” in the 1964 presidential election, and how the American Psychiatric Association had ruled afterwards that it was “unethical for a psychiatrist to offer any kind of a diagnosis on a public figure without having examined that person.”

Yet, little more than 50 years later, that is exactly what’s happening as dozens of so-called professionals irresponsibly violate that ethical principle with a variety of absurd diagnoses about the president’s mental health.

Dershowitz concluded by pleading with his fellow liberals to argue against Trump on the merits and demerits of his various policies, and leave the speculative mental diagnoses to the professionals who have actually examined their patients.

Global warming fear-mongers made dire predictions just a few short years ago that mankind had witnessed the “end of snow” because of how much human activity had heated and altered the earth’s climate.

Of course, as much of the United States was recently gripped by bitter cold temperatures and blanketed with snow — even as far south as northern Florida — climate change proponents like former Vice President Al Gore ludicrously argued that excessive cold and snowy weather were actually signs of a warming planet, or something nonsensical like that.

Their arguments about global warming make even less sense now that snow has fallen in one of the most unlikely locations ever — the Sahara desert of North Africa, according to the U.K. Daily Mail.

Yes, you read that correctly. The Sahara desert in Algeria just received a significant amount of snow from an unusual winter storm, as much as 16 inches in some spots.

According to the U.K. Daily Mail, this is only the third time in nearly 40 years that snow has fallen in and around the Algerian town of Ain Sefra, a place known for hot weather and reddish-colored sand dunes — not blinding white snowscapes.

The last time this town, dubbed “The Gateway to the Desert,” received a a few inches of snow was in December of 2016 and again in January of 2017. Prior to that, the town last saw snow flurries for about a half hour in February of 1979.

“We were really surprised when we woke up to see snow again. It stayed all day on Sunday and began melting at around 5 p.m.,” stated photographer Karim Bouchetata, who snapped some incredible pictures of the snow-capped sand dunes, according to the Daily Mail.

A spokesman for the Met Office, the U.K. national weather service, stated, “Cold air was pulled down south into North Africa over the weekend as a result of high pressure over Europe. The high pressure meant the cold weather extended farther south than normal.”

According to The Washington Post, the area in question typically sees temperatures above 100 degrees during the summer, but is quite a bit cooler during the winter, with highs in the mid-50s and overnight lows in the 30s.

Incredibly, the mass of cold air that just dropped significant snowfall over North Africa is believed to be the same bitterly cold Arctic air that was freezing millions of Americans in late December.

Due to prevailing wind patterns which flow from west to east, that cold air mass eventually crossed the Atlantic and ended up over southern Europe and North Africa.

So much for those dire predictions about the “end of snow” from climate fraudsters like Al Gore.

Of course, the global warming nuts will simply spin like tops to explain that this freak snowstorm is evidence that a warmer planet causes more extreme weather.

Meanwhile, we will simply wait for them to once again shift the narrative from global warming to climate change to global cooling, as they so ominously warned of back in the 1970s.
