Cher Calls Trump The Antichrist Because He Won’t Help California Even Though He Did

Apparently the TV reception inside of the liberal bubble is horrible. Resistance kook (and whatever the hell else she does) Cher has steam coming out of her ears because Donald Trump won’t help out California after the wildfires. The thing is, President Trump has helped out the state by declaring it a disaster (I know, it was a disaster before the fires too) and freeing up federal funding. That’s pretty much the only thing a President can do and he he did it. Still, Cher thinks he’s the antichrist and blames him for killing people in California, because that’s what resisting Trump is all about.

Cher busted out the rage-emojis for this tweet:

“Painful 2 learn how many Californians have died in Mud slides caused by catastrophic Fires Trump Saw Calif.Pain,Homes Destroyed,Animals Lost, Hundreds Of Thousands of ACRES CHARRED.HE WONT HELP US CAUSE HE HATESUS,& WISHES WE’D SINK IN2 .HE’S VINDICTIVE DAMIEN 666,” wrote Cher.

Cher is of course referring to the wildfires that raged across Southern California late last year. What happens in these burn areas is that when it rains the lack of vegetation causes mudslides and that’s what happened yesterday when there was a downpour. Possibly 15 people were killed by mudslides, which you can see Cher is blaming Trump for.

Now back to that bad reception thing. Here’s a thing from NBC 4 in Los Angeles, which Cher should be able to get on her TV, even with an old-fashioned antenna:

President Donald Trump on Tuesday approved California’s request for a presidential major disaster declaration in response to recent wildfires in the state, including those in Los Angeles, San Diego, Ventura and Santa Barbara counties.

According to the White House, the presidential declaration will free up federal funding for areas affected by wildfires that began Dec. 4.

Okay, maybe Cher doesn’t have a TV, but it’s certain she has Internet access. Since she’s a liberal, she should have noticed this on liberal website Politico:

President Donald Trump on Friday approved an emergency declaration in California, where wildfires have blazed for much of the week.

Trump’s declaration orders federal assistance — the Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Emergency Management Agency — to aid state and local response efforts.

So yes Cher, Trump has helped California all that he could with federal disaster relief. Maybe that “666” birthmark on his scalp is really just a “665” which is close but not quite evil. Rather than bearing the number of the beast, he’s the neighbor of the beast and everyone including Cher can relax.

Testimony Reveals Fusion GPS Tried to Kill FBI Clinton Investigation

Testimony Reveals Fusion GPS Tried to Kill FBI Clinton Investigation

Glenn Simpson and the intelligence firm he founded, Fusion GPS, have presented themselves as disinterested researchers when it comes to their role in the Trump dossier and the 2016 election. But Simpson’s recently released testimony shows that at the same time he was encouraging the FBI to investigate Trump, he was actively trying to steer the FBI away from further investigation of the Clintons.

In his August 2017 testimony before Congress, Glenn Simpson admits Christopher Steele reached out to the FBI following the reopening of the Hillary Clinton email investigation in October 2016.  Steele and Simpson had previously contacted the FBI regarding material they had collected on the Trump campaign — a project with no other direct tie to the Clinton investigation. Simpson claims the reopening of the Clinton probe sparked concerns on his part that the FBI was “being manipulated for political ends” by pro-Trump entities (Simpson testimony, p 179).

Yet it was Steele (with Simpson’s knowledge) who handed Clinton-funded opposition research to the FBI and then, as Simpson admits, reached out again to investigators to cast doubt on the Clinton investigation:

There was some sort of interaction, I think it was probably telephonic that occurred after Director Comey sent his letter to Congress reopening the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s e-mails. That episode, you know, obviously created some concern that the FBI was intervening in a political campaign in contravention of long-standing Justice Department regulation. So it made a lot of people, including us, concerned about what the heck was going on at the FBI. So, you know, we began getting questions from the press about, you know, whether they were also investigating Trump and, you know, we encouraged them to ask the FBI that question. You know, I think — I’m not sure we’ve covered this fully, but, you know, we just encouraged them to ask the FBI that question. (Simpson testimony, Page 178)

Even more strangely, Simpson describes Steele cutting off contact with the FBI because he didn’t understand what was going on internally:

Sometime thereafter the FBI — I understand Chris severed his relationship with the FBI out of concern that he didn’t know what was happening inside the FBI and there was a concern that the FBI was being manipulated for political ends by the Trump people and that we didn’t really understand what was going on. So he stopped dealing with them. (Simpson testimony, Page 179)

It seems very odd that Fusion GPS, or at least Steele, would expect to have any understanding of internal affairs at the FBI, especially regarding a different case from they were supplying information on. Earlier in his testimony, Simpson describes Steele’s initial meeting with the FBI:

Essentially what he told me was they had other intelligence about this matter from an internal Trump campaign source and that — that they — my understanding was that they believed Chris at this point — that they believed Chris’s information might be credible because they had other intelligence that indicated the same thing and one of those pieces of intelligence was a human source from inside the Trump organization. (Simpson testimony, Page 175)

This means the FBI divulged information about an ongoing investigation to Steele. This might not be unusual on its own (especially if agents had an existing working relationship with their source), but starts to stand out when taking Fusion GPS’ other connections into account.

During the 2016 campaign, Fusion GPS employed the wife of senior DOJ official Bruce Ohr as a subcontractor on the Trump project. Bruce Ohr met with Christopher Steele at some point during the 2016 campaign, then met with Simpson in November 2016, following the election. Also at this time, Peter Strzok, an FBI agent involved in the Clinton and Trump investigations, had sent a number of pro-Clinton text messages to a fellow FBI employee, including one discussing an “insurance policy” against Trump.

Natalia Veselnitskaya, also client of Fusion GPS at the time, met with the Trump campaign during the election, sparking further interest in the campaign’s ties to Russia. Simpson claims that he had no knowledge of this meeting (despite meeting with her before and after) and that his work for her was unrelated to his work on the Trump dossier (Simpson Testimony, p 133).

Coulter: It Turns Out Bannon Was Trump’s Brain

In order to prove he doesn’t have dementia, as alleged in a recent book, President Trump called a meeting with congressional leaders on Tuesday — and requested that it be televised.

Ivanka: Show them at your best, Daddy!

He then proceeded to completely sell out the base and actually added to his problems by appearing senile.

In a half-dozen exchanges — which, again, he wanted televised — Trump responded to remarks as if he had no clue what the person was saying. One senator would talk — he’d agree. Someone else would say the exact opposite — he’d agree with that, too.

Actual exchange:

SEN. DIANNE FEINSTEIN: “What about a clean DACA bill now, with a commitment that we go into a comprehensive immigration reform procedure? …”

TRUMP: “… I have no problem. … We’re going to come up with DACA. We’re going to do DACA, and then we can start immediately on the phase two, which would be comprehensive.”

SEN. FEINSTEIN: “Would you be agreeable to that?”

TRUMP: “I think a lot of people would like to see that, but I think we have to do DACA first.”

REP. KEVIN MCCARTHY: “Mr. President, you need to be clear though. I think what Sen. Feinstein is asking here: When we talk about just DACA, we don’t want to be back here two years later. You have to have security, as the secretary would tell you.”

TRUMP: “But I think that’s what she’s saying.”

REP. MCCARTHY: “No, no, I think she’s saying something different. …”

TRUMP: “I do believe that. Because once we get DACA done — if it’s done properly — with, you know, security and everything else …”

Trump was more than willing to sell out the base to solve a personal problem of his — the Michael Wolff book — but managed to not convince a single American that he’s articulate, bright, or a good leader.

On MSNBC, the hosts didn’t say, “You know, we saw a new side of Trump today …” Instead, they could barely suppress their giggles over the great negotiator being rolled.

The Democrats’ opening bid is: Not only does every poor person in the world get to come live here, but all their relatives get to come, too!

They don’t control any branch of government, and they’re not budging from that.

Trump’s counter-offer is: OK! My immigration policy is whatever you send me!

The end result was: On the left, they’re happy but still think Trump’s a moron. On the right, they’re unhappy and also think Trump’s a moron.

The people who do not realize Tuesday was the lowest moment of the Trump presidency have no idea what they’re talking about. The headline on Trump’s sit-down could have been:

“TRUMP ANNOUNCES SAME FAILED AMNESTY DEAL WE HAD 30 YEARS AGO”

The media have done such a fantastic job lying to the public that no one knows that.

To the average viewer, it sounds like a totally fair deal. We give only the BEST illegals a “pathway” to citizenship, they’ll have to jump through all sorts of hoops, and in return, we’ll get REAL security.

That’s exactly what we were promised the last time. What we got: No hoops, no security, and everyone got amnesty.

You don’t need chain migration for the alleged 800,000 “Dreamers” to swell to 60 million — or 100 or 200 million. First, there are already at least 50 million illegals (aka Dreamers) living here. (For more, see Adios, America pp 72-74.)

Second, ANY amnesty means there will be lawsuits, whereupon the courts will grant amnesty to everyone. All of Latin America, including Latin Americans still living in Latin America, can mosey up sometime in the next 20 years, present themselves to a Ninth Circuit judge and claim they were brought here as children.

HOW CAN PEOPLE BROUGHT HERE AS CHILDREN BE EXPECTED TO PROVE IT?

Application approved!

How do I know this? Because that’s how the 1986 amnesty worked.

The Ninth Circuit was still approving applications under the 1986 amnesty in 2007 — i.e., 20 years later — from applicants who claimed it wasn’t fair that they weren’t in the country at the time to apply for amnesty.

The 1986 law was also loaded with all sorts of requirements on the illegals. We’d be getting only the best! As Trump said on Tuesday, “It’s an incentive for people to do a good job, if you want to know the truth. That whole path is an incentive for people.”

Result of requirements placed on illegals in the 1986 amnesty:

English-language requirement — dropped by the INS.

Fines — dropped by the INS.

Fees — waived by the INS.

Back taxes — dropped by the IRS.

Congress could pass a law giving amnesty ONLY to left-handed Ph.D.’s in nuclear physics, and everyone would get amnesty. Even illegals who haven’t arrived yet.

If there is a silver lining, it’s that this isn’t the first time Trump has sold out the base. He did it in the March 2016 GOP debate; in his Hannity interview in August 2016; in the meeting with tech leaders at Trump Tower in December 2016; and in his meeting with Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer last year.

But it’s now Trump’s second year in office, we don’t have a wall, and he just called a meeting to say, over and over again: “We have to do DACA first.”

At this point, any sentient person has to see that the most plausible scenario is:

Lucy’s gonna move the football …

Lucy’s gonna move the football …

Lucy’s gonna move the football …

Lucy’s gonna move the football …

Lucy’s gonna move the football …

Lucy’s gonna move the football …

She moved the football.

James Woods Warns Trump: ‘If You Fold on Immigration, You’re a One-Term President’

James Woods Warns Trump: ‘If You Fold on Immigration, You’re a One-Term President’

Actor James Woods took to Twitter Tuesday to issue a stern warning to President Donald Trump: cave to Democrats on the immigration issue and become a “one-term president.”

The conservative actor used his social media account to weigh in on Tuesday’s bipartisan meeting between Trump and leaders from the House and Senate on immigration, during which the president suggested he would be open to a comprehensive immigration reform deal that would resolve the status of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients.

“If you fold on immigration, you are a one-term president,” Woods wrote in a tweet.

Woods added that at the very least, if Trump were to defer on the issue of DACA, the actor would not vote for him in 2020.

Woods also laid out his own advice to the president for dealing with the immigration issue, and urged Republicans to use their majorities in the House and Senate to end the DACA program entirely.

“End #DACA completely, build the wall, defund sanctuary cities, end chain migration, enforce voter ID, and deport all lawbreakers,” he wrote. “Democrats never listened to us when they were in control. Wake up, Republicans. You have the power. Use it, for God’s sake!

Woods regularly uses his social media account to weigh in on politics, often posting in support of the president, criticizing mainstream media, and mocking left-wing celebrities, including former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

In August, the actor said the only reason he feels comfortable expressing conservative views in the left-dominated entertainment industry is because he has already “accepted” that he’s been blacklisted in Hollywood.

Left Unsuccessful in Stopping Trump Tornado

Left Unsuccessful in Stopping Trump Tornado
In order to complete and be successful in their plans to turn the USA into a country (and world) run by authoritarian global elites, President Donald J. Trump must be eliminated as POTUS.  Thus far, everything the Luciferian Left has intensely attempted to bring about—in order to force this extraordinary man to his knees—has had the opposite effect.

Laura Ingraham: ‘Extremely Concerned’ When Trump Getting ‘Lavish Praise’ from Jeb Bush for DACA Amnesty

Laura Ingraham: ‘Extremely Concerned’ When Trump Getting ‘Lavish Praise’ from Jeb Bush for DACA Amnesty

Populist conservative talk radio host Laura Ingraham is warning President Trump against accepting a deal with the Republican establishment and Democrats that gives amnesty to the nearly 800,000 illegal aliens shielded from deportation by the President Obama-created Deferred Action from Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

On Wednesday, Ingraham took to her radio show, the Laura Ingraham Show, to say that she was “extremely concerned” at the site of former Florida Gov. and pro-amnesty advocate Jeb Bush, as well as the U.S. Chamber of Commerce — also fans of amnesty for illegal aliens — heaping “lavish praise” on Trump following a White House meeting that centered around DACA amnesty.

Ingraham said:

I don’t want to use the word ‘betrayal’ yet, because we haven’t reached the end of the line here and I don’t think that would be the right thing to do. But I think it’s really important for the president to hear from all of us. We want the best for him. The other people just want what they want from him. We want the best for him and this presidency and this nation. And it’s about the country, and what’s good for the nation and the American worker.

I’m gonna reserve judgment on the final product here, but I am extremely concerned when I see the president getting lavish praise from Jeb Bush, Lindsey Graham, and the likes of the Chamber of Commerce.

On Tuesday, Trump said during immigration negotiations that illegal aliens needed a “bill of love” that would provide them amnesty, Breitbart News reported.

“This should be a bill of love, truly. It should be a bill of love, and we can do that,” Trump said.

The pro-amnesty statement by Trump prompted immediate praise by Bush, who once said that illegal aliens crossing the U.S.-Mexico border was an “act of love.”

Ingraham said Trump could make a major dent in reforming the nation’s legal immigration system to benefit America’s working and middle class and raising U.S. wages by ending the process known as “chain migration,” whereby naturalized citizens can bring an unlimited number of foreign nationals to the U.S.

Ingraham said:

The new immigrants, both legal and illegal, are not being brought into the melting pot. The melting pot will be spilled over. There will be no melting pot if we do not get control of both legal immigration through chain migration, which has been a nightmare for this country. Entire villages from India, Pakistan, Somalia, all across the globe — have been imported into the US. Entire family trees have been imported. They’re in Maine, they’re in Minnesota, they’re in North Carolina, they’re in Georgia — this is madness! No other country on the face of the planet has ever allowed this to happen. And I’m including Europe today, even with the mass migration of refugees. We went from nine million immigrants admitted in the first part of the 20th Century to 45 million in the second half. It’s all changed. And Trump has the chance to change this with chain migration.

Trump has previously committed to Americans that he would undoubtedly oppose amnesty and even once said in response to DACA illegal aliens — dubbed “DREAMers” by the open borders lobby and mainstream media — that he wanted Americans to dream.

Trump said:

You know what I want? I want DREAMers to come from this country. Okay? You mentioned DREAMers, you mentioned DREAMers. I want DREAMers to come from the United States. I want the people in the United States that have children, I want them to have dreams also.

We’re always talking about DREAMers for other people. I want the children that are growing up in the United States to be DREAMers also. They’re not dreaming right now.

Immigration agents hit this popular business hard looking for illegal workers

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement continued the crackdown on illegal immigration that has been a focus under the Trump administration, sending agents to 7-Eleven stores across the country to verify the immigration status of employees, according to The Washington Post.

ICE agents visited 98 stores and made 21 arrests as they interviewed employees and delivered audit notifications to franchise owners.

Why are they doing this?

According to Thomas Homan, ICE’s top official, “Today’s actions send a strong message to U.S. businesses that hire and employ an illegal workforce: ICE will enforce the law, and if you are found to be breaking the law, you will be held accountable.”

How much ground did they cover?

Agents hit stores at 6 a.m. Wednesday, including locations in 17 states and the District of Columbia: California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas and Washington.

7-Eleven has more than 60,000 stores worldwide and is based in Irving, Texas.

How did 7-Eleven respond?

By reminding everyone that individual franchise owners are responsible for complying with the law, and that they will terminate any franchise agreement of an owner who is convicted.

“7-Eleven Franchisees are independent business owners and are solely responsible for their employees including deciding who to hire and verifying their eligibility to work in the United States,” a statement read.

Is this going to be a trend?

It looks like it. ICE conducted 1,360 employee audits last year resulting in more than $97 million in fines, forfeitures and restitution.

“We are going to be doing more of this work and dedicating more resources to make sure businesses are complying with the law,” said ICE spokeswoman Dani Bennett.

Priorities: ObamaCare repeal, we hardly knew ye

Remember how Republicans planned to circle back around to repealing ObamaCare in 2018? Good times, good times. After repealing the most unpopular part of the Affordable Care Act in its tax-reform bill, the GOP seems satisfied to stand pat on the status quo, according to The Hill:

The chances of repealing ObamaCare this year are fading further, with top Republicans saying they hardly discussed repeal of the law during a Camp David retreat last weekend focused on their 2018 agenda. …

While some conservative groups and select lawmakers are pushing for ObamaCare repeal in 2018, President Trump and GOP leaders have signaled a desire to move on, at least for now, after unsuccessful repeal efforts sucked up months of the legislative calendar in 2017. Trump also declared after signing the GOP tax overhaul in December, which did away with the mandate that most people buy health insurance or face a tax penalty, that Republicans had “essentially repealed ObamaCare.”

“There’s some work we need to do on the health-care front, but I would hope we’re in a position to do things on a bipartisan basis,” said Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas), one of the GOP leaders who huddled with Trump at Camp David to discuss the 2018 agenda.

Presumably, Republicans would have had another shot at a reconciliation-based repeal by passing a budget resolution allowing for it. Budget resolutions pass on simple majorities, so even their recently narrowed Senate advantage should have allowed the GOP to set up the effort.

However, their success in December complicated matters by taking out the most offensive part of ObamaCare. What exactly would Republicans repeal after taking out the individual mandate and tax penalties? Certainly not the must-issue requirement, which is popular with voters, nor the community rating requirements, which also have a large amount of support. The combination of those two insurer mandates is what has destabilized the individual health insurance markets, but without tying them to the individual mandate as a sweetener, Republicans wouldn’t get 40 Senate votes for a repeal.

Besides, the big cost savings recognized by the CBO in repeal came from the individual mandate, which got applied to tax reform rather than overall ObamaCare repeal. Everything else will likely result in higher deficit spending, making it nigh well impossible for an ACA repeal to qualify under reconciliation, even if Republicans had the political cojones to try it. At this point, the GOP will have to engage Democrats on solutions. Cornyn’s not offering an olive branch; he’s simply stating reality. Get ready for Alexander-Murray, in other words.

Even where reconciliation could still get used, though, Republicans seem to have lost their taste for it:

Meanwhile, Republicans say talk of welfare or entitlement reform this year is also narrowing down to an emphasis on things like job training, not the broad overhaul of Medicare, Medicaid and other entitlements that Democrats have warned against.

It was always a stretch to think that the GOP could get that done by reconciliation in this session of Congress. The majority has enough Republican senators skeptical about sweeping entitlement change — especially on a partisan basis — to assume a 52-seat majority would hold together. With the loss of the seat in Alabama, that’s down to 51, with John McCain and Susan Collins obvious impediments to that process, and almost certainly not the only ones that would emerge in an election year.

Republicans might do better just trying to focus on passing a regular-order budget before the midterms anyway. If they can accomplish a return to normality and demonstrate a talent for governance, they might be able to hold onto the House and expand their majority in the Senate in 2018’s midterms. Then they can put together a well-considered, comprehensive, and unified plan for big-ticket agenda items, which would be the first time that’s happened in their single-party control of Washington.

Addendum: The Taxpayers Protection Alliance wants Congress to repeal Medicare’s Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB), once known as a “death panel,” created as a part of ObamaCare for cost control. It’s still in operation, and their commissioned poll shows Republicans strongly in favor of eliminating the IPAB (73%), as well as seniors overall (54%). Without a deficit reduction, however, it will take 60 votes in the Senate to repeal that part of the ACA — and Democrats won’t go along with any more dismantling of the ACA. The best that Republicans might get is a repeal as part of Alexander-Murray.

Republican House Bill Exchanges DACA Amnesty for Mandatory E-Verify, Legal Immigration Cuts

A Republican-led bill that would give amnesty to the nearly 800,000 illegal aliens shielded from deportation by the President Obama-created Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program is the first legislation on the issue that would make E-Verify mandatory for all U.S. employers, thus barring illegal aliens from the American workforce.

DACA Amnesty

The legislation known as “Securing America’s Future Act” spearheaded by Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-VA) would allow DACA illegal aliens to remain the U.S. on 3-year renewable work visas that would allow them to use existing avenues to gain American citizenship.

A DACA amnesty has concerned Breitbart readers, Trump supporters, and amnesty critics alike, as they see it is a path towards amnesty for the entire illegal alien population, which ranges between 12 to 30 million.

Though the DACA amnesty is a break from President Trump’s campaign promises, in which he said, “There will be no amnesty” in August 2016, the legislation includes many of the president’s pro-American immigration principles by reducing legal immigration levels to raise Americans’ wages and dramatically reducing illegal immigration, not just through funding Trump’s proposed border wall along the U.S.-Mexico border.

Mandatory E-Verify

Under the Goodlatte bill, E-Verify — the system that prevents employers from hiring illegal aliens over Americans — would be mandatory throughout the country, making it the first DACA-related legislation to include this provision.

As Breitbart News reported, mandatory E-Verify was a part of Trump’s pro-American immigration principles but has since been ignored by the administration in DACA negotiations and meetings.

NumbersUSA’s Rosemary Jenks told Breitbart News that this was one of the main reasons why her organization, which advocates for immigration in the interest of Americans, is supporting the Goodlatte legislation, despite its provision giving amnesty to DACA illegal aliens.

“The game-changer on illegal immigration is mandatory E-Verify,” Jenks said, explaining how nearly half of illegal aliens are individuals who have overstayed their visas and thus, the E-Verify system is necessary to keeping them from taking American jobs.

The legislation also makes overstaying a visa a federal misdemeanor.

“Basically, if President Trump wants a bill that will keep his campaign promises, as far as moving towards immigration policy that serves the national interest, and gets his DACA fix, this is it,” Jenks said. “This is the Trump immigration bill.”

The mandatory E-Verify provisions in the bill are so potent that even if illegal aliens use stolen Social Security numbers to get jobs in the U.S., the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) would be required to alert Americans that their Social Security number is being used in the workforce.

Mandatory E-Verify is easily the single most popular immigration reform with Americans. For example, a recent poll by Pulse Opinion Research found that nearly 60 percent of likely voters want mandatory E-Verify to be part of a deal on DACA, if a deal is made and finalized.

Months ago, when likely American voters were asked by Pulse Opinion Research if they supported mandatory E-Verify, a majority of 68 percent said yes. Another 71 percent of voters said businesses should be required to hire from pools of Americans with the highest unemployment rates before importing cheaper, foreign workers through various visa programs or hiring illegal aliens.

Ending Chain Migration

The Goodlatte bill fulfills another reform that Trump has demanded, which is ending the process known as “chain migration,” whereby newly naturalized citizens can currently bring an unlimited number of foreign relatives to the U.S.

Under the legislation, chain migration — which has imported more than 9.3 million foreign nationals to the U.S. in the last decade — would be ended and confined to only spouses and the minor children of newly naturalized citizens. Another provision creates a temporary visa program for the parents of naturalized citizens that claims will come at no cost to American taxpayers.

The number of extended-family foreign nationals who have resettled in the U.S. in the last decade is greater than the total combined population of Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, and Cleveland, the White House has noted in a new ad campaign that seeks to explain and end chain migration.

In recent polling by Pulse Opinion Research, nearly 60 percent of Americans said they wanted to see an end to chain migration included in any deal that gives amnesty to the nearly 800,000 DACA illegal aliens.

Border Wall

The legislation fulfills Trump’s single most important campaign promise: The construction of a border wall along the U.S.-Mexico border.

The border wall has been stalled in the prototype stage for months now, but the Goodlatte bill would authorize the construction of the border wall while adding 5,000 new U.S. Border Patrol agents, as well as 5,000 new U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents.

During discussions this week at the White House, Trump told his DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen that he wanted the border wall built in a year and for less than the $18 billion the agency had estimated it would originally cost.

“There’s no reason for seven years, also,” Trump said as he looked and motioned at Nielsen. “I heard the other day, please don’t do that to me. Seven years to build a wall?! We can build the wall in one year.”

“Yes sir,” Nielsen responded.

More Immigration for Big Business Lobby

The most “unfortunate” part of Goodlatte’s legislation, according to Rosemary Jenks, is that it increases employment-based immigration by 45 percent. While ending the Diversity Visa Lottery program, whereby 50,000 foreign nationals are randomly allowed to come to the U.S. every year, the Goodlatte bill gives businesses 55,000 more foreign workers to import every year to take American jobs.

Additionally, the legislation creates an entirely new work visa program for the agricultural industry to keep wages low and outsource American jobs. The provision will likely allow for one million new low-skilled foreign nationals to be brought to the U.S. every year.

“It’s unfortunate for American agricultural workers, at the same time, a lot of jobs will open up for Americans in other fields because of mandatory E-Verify,” Jenks told Breitbart News. “This is all a balancing act. We’ve really struggled with this,” Jenks said of supporting the bill, despite its amnesty clause.

Due to these increases in immigration for the big business lobby, which has long lobbied for a continued flow of foreign nationals to the U.S., legal immigration levels would only be reduced from the more than one million immigrants who enter the country every year to about 800,000 a year.

This is not as significant of a cut in legal immigration levels to benefit Americans as other DACA-related bills have proposed, like one that reduces legal immigration to 500,000 immigrants a year.

But Jenks says that due to the mandatory E-Verify elements of the bill and security reforms that would further reduce illegal immigration, she believes legal immigration will reduce by more than 260,000 immigrants a year in eight to ten years.

Amnesty Backlash

Trump has been blasted in recent days by even his most ardent supporters for even considering an amnesty for DACA illegal aliens.

New York Times best-selling author and populist conservative columnist Ann Coulter, whose most recent book explained why Trump’s presidency was necessary for America’s working and middle class, slammed the president for his consideration of amnesty.

“This DACA lovefest confirms a main thesis of Michael Wolff’s book: When Bannon left. liberal Dems Jared, Ivanka, Cohn & Goldman Sachs took over,” Coulter wrote in a post.

Additionally, the parents and relatives of Americans who have been killed by illegal aliens, commonly referred to as “Angel Moms,” pleaded with Trump to keep his campaign promise and oppose all amnesties for illegal aliens.

Sabine Durden, an Angel Mom, whose son Dominic was murdered by an illegal alien, posted online a plea to Trump to stick to his pro-American immigration agenda.

A DACA amnesty would put more citizen children of illegal aliens — known as “anchor babies” — on federal welfare, as Breitbart News reported, while American taxpayers would be left with potentially a $26 billion bill.

Additionally, about one in five DACA illegal aliens, after an amnesty, would end up on food stamps, while at least one in seven would go on Medicaid.

At the southern border, a DACA amnesty has the potential to trigger a border surge that could triple the number of illegal aliens pouring through the border. Since DACA’s inception, more than 2,100 recipients of the program have been kicked off because they were found to either be criminals or gang members.
