On Tuesday, the Swedish ambassador to the United Nations moaned about the Trump administration’s plans to review funding for the United Nations Relief and Work Agency (UNRWA), an organization that has been vehemently anti-Israel for its entire existence.
As Hillel Neuer, the executive director of UN Watch, pointed out, the Swedish government hasn’t seemed to care about anti-Semitism from Muslims targeting Jews in Sweden:
The Swedish ambassador, Olof Skoog, complained, “My concern (is) that as we talk about region stability, withdrawing funding for UNRWA would be very negative both in terms of humanitarian needs of over 5 million people but also of course it would be destabilizing for the region.”
The United States, the largest donor to UNRWA, had given almost $370 million as of 2016, according to the organization’s website. U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley has warned that future American funding for UNRWA is under review. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called for UNRWA to be dismantled.
UNRWA hates Israel so much that the agency took the picture of a young Arab girl standing amid rubble in Syria in late January 2015 and used the same picture in June 2017 to pretend the girl was a young girl in Gaza oppressed by the Israelis.
As Harry Khatchatrian wrote in The Daily Wire in March 2016:
UNRWA facilitates the spreading of anti-Semitic propaganda via many avenues, the most troublesome of which is perhaps its production of educational materials for children inciting hatred of Jews. Other examples include Nazi-like cartoons shared on social media by its staff and promoting terrorist-supporting flotillas and violence against Israel. UNRWA has also allowed Hamas – officially designated as a terrorist organization by both the U.S. and Canada – to use its facilities and has employed its members as staff.

The sloppy dossier accused Cohen of traveling to Prague, Czech Republic to meet with Russian agents.
Mr. Cohen was in the US at the time of the alleged visit to Prague.

Cohen told the Washington Times back in April that he also is considering a lawsuit against former British spy Christopher Steele, who wrote the gossipy 35-page dossier that the liberal news website posted on Jan. 10.
ABC News reported:
Michael Cohen, Donald Trump’s personal attorney and close confidant, says he filed a pair of lawsuits on Tuesday, one in state court against the popular website BuzzFeed and the other in federal court against the private investigative firm Fusion GPS.
In both suits, Cohen claims that the infamous dossier of salacious but unconfirmed allegations of collusion between members of the Trump campaign and Russian agents compiled by Fusion GPS and later published by BuzzFeed contained “false and defamatory” allegations that resulted in “harm to his personal and professional reputation, current business interests, and the impairment of business opportunities.”
According to the federal complaint, Fusion GPS, co-founded by former Wall Street Journal reporter Glenn Simpson, “recklessly placed [the dossier] beyond their control and allowed it to fall into the hands of media devoted to breaking news on the hottest subject of the day: the Trump candidacy.”
According to the New York state complaint, which names BuzzFeed’s top editor Ben Smith as well as Ken Bensinger, Miriam Elder and Mark Schoofs, Cohen claims “even though Defendant Buzzfeed expressly acknowledged the unverified (and potentially unverifiable) nature of the Dossier’s allegations, Defendant BuzzFeed published the un-redacted Dossier and the Article anyway — without attempting to determine the veracity of these reports with Plaintiff himself.”

MSNBC’s Chris Matthews on Tuesday compared President Donald Trump’s children to Uday and Qusay Hussein, who were the sons of former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein.
The "Hardball" host was interviewing journalist Michael Wolff about his book Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House when he made the comparison. Wolff had mentioned that his book’s main source, Steve Bannon, had conflicted with Trump’s family during his time as a White House strategist, and Wolff said he became close with then-chief of staff Reince Priebus.
"I mean, Steve Bannon did not speak to Jared Kushner," Wolff said. "These factions in the White House that were absolutely cleaved, but gradually…Reince Priebus and Steve Bannon had an enormous amount of—they were polarized, let’s say, in the early months of the administration, and they actually came together."
"I think that they became quite good friends because they understood…this was an entirely anomalous situation that they had found themselves in, and it was coming apart," Wolff added.
"I guess when you’re dealing with Uday and Qusay every day, you do find common purposes," Matthews replied about Priebus and Bannon’s relationship to Kushner and, presumably, other members of the family.
Matthews also gave a ringing endorsement to Wolff’s book, which the author has had to defend from numerous charges of inaccuracies.
"Congratulations, Michael Wolff," Matthews said. "Fire and Fury—I don’t have to help this book, but go out and buy it or you’re missing out on the big story of this year so far."
It was a long and meandering interview, but toward the beginning, Matthews also discussed Bannon’s conflict with Trump’s children.
Bannon himself left the White House after about seven months, and Trump has denounced him for the comments he made to Wolff. Trump said Wolff’s book is "full of lies," and on Tuesday Bannon also lost his job at Breitbart.

One trucker has taken the nation by storm after a photo of him was published on Facebook. The trucker had pulled over just inches from oncoming traffic and put his hand over his heart for one simple reason.
Kristen Collins, the one who posted the picture, wrote a brief caption to explain what happened.
“While in the funeral procession today to Jefferson barracks to lay my grandfather to rest a man driving a truck pulled off and made honor as we all proceeded,” she said. “Thank you for showing such great honor – I found and got to personally thank this man!!”
What a great American.

Collins told WMAZ news that when she saw the trucker pulled over, “For that moment, everything about my grandfather about his legacy and life was important.”
Because she wanted to thank him, she posted the photo on Facebook, which has since gone viral.
She went on to talk about the incredible, patriotic life her grandfather led and how he had served in the Navy and Navy Reserves during WWII.
However, the story doesn’t end with just the Facebook post. Collins and the trucker, Bradley Faulkner, who were previously strangers, finally met up.
“Can I give you a hug please?” Collins said to Faulkner when they met.
Faulkner then said, “It doesn’t change or alter your life at all to maybe lift up that one family and say, ‘Hey, in your time of need, I’m here for you whether I know you or not.’”
“It’s just such an honor to be able to meet the person that made such an impact on us for a moment in time,” Collins said.
The best thing about this interaction, though, is that Bradley Faulkner is a nine year vet who served a tour in Iraq. He also comes from a military family, as his grandfather also served in the military.
It’s stories like these that show just how amazing Americans truly are. Sure, there a lot of people out there who are less than patriotic, but this guy definitely gets it.
He was willing to stop everything to honor a fellow vet. And for that, Bradley, we salute you.

New York State Assemblywoman Pamela Harris has been indicted on 11 counts of fraud and tampering, accused of defrauding numerous federal and local government entities.
The indictments include two counts of wire fraud, one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, four counts of making false statements, two counts of bankruptcy fraud, and one count of witness tampering and one count of conspiracy to obstruct justice, CBS New York reported.
Harris is accused of defrauding the New York City Council, the city’s Department of Youth and Community Development, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the city’s Build it Back Program and U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York. The alleged behavior took place between 2012 and 2016.
The assemblywoman spent $10,000 of stolen funds on vacation getaways–covering airline and cruise tickets for the politician and her husband–according to the 21-page federal indictment. She further used other funds to pay her lingerie tab at Victoria’s Secret, New York Daily News reported.
"As alleged in the indictment, the defendant defrauded government agencies out of tens of thousands of dollars in public funds and tried to fraudulently obtain even more," stated United States Attorney Richard P. Donoghue.
"She conducted her schemes victimizing the federal and New York City governments, and then obstructed a federal investigation into her crimes while a sitting New York State Assemblywoman. When she learned that law enforcement was investigating her various fraud schemes, she pressured witnesses to lie to the FBI and cover them up. This Office and our law enforcement partners are committed to ensuring that those who serve the public are held accountable under the law to the same extent as the people they are privileged to serve," he added.
New York City Department of Investigation (DOI) Commissioner Mark G. Peters described to the charges as being a result of "brazen corruption."
"The brazen corruption charged as a result of this investigation tramples on the very definition of a public servant," stated Peters. "This elected official exploited the public she was elected to serve by stealing from City and federal programs and then concealing the fraud with false statements and asking witnesses to obstruct the investigation, according to the indictment."
As NBC New York points out, despite the fact Harris’s biography calls her a "vocal advocate" for Hurricane Sandy relief efforts, part of the money she allegedly stole was money designated for FEMA relief efforts.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson warned President Trump that he would lose a lot of support from his base if he went through with what he promised on Tuesday in a meeting with Democrats and Republican on immigration.

“It was a weird scene in Washington today,” Carlson began. “President Trump, you’ll remember, ran for office promising to fix immigration, make good deals and in general do a better job than the corrupt incompetent lawmakers he said were wrecking the country. And he was right, they were wrecking the country.”
“And yet today in a remarkable twist, the president held a televised meeting with the very swamp creatures he once denounced,” he explained. “He told them he trusted them to craft immigration policy without his input.”
“Then he suggested he’d be willing to accept any deal they produce even a bad one,” Carlson said, clearly displeased.
“At one point the president agreed with Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein of California that it would be wise to handle the question of DACA separately before negotiating any meaningful reform of our broken and dysfunctional immigration system,” he added.
“Shocked” by what they saw
“Key allies very close to the president on immigration told us this afternoon they were shocked by what they saw in that meeting,” Carlson continued. “It was a completely different Donald Trump from the one we watched on the campaign trail just two years ago.”
“These are the same people the president now says he trusts to write the immigration bill,” he added, “the one he’ll sign no matter what it says.”
“So what was the point of running for president?” Carlson asked rhetorically.
Carlson said that Trump was poised to give up his leverage on forcing the Democrats to end chain migration and the diversity lottery, and instead was giving them what they wanted without anything in return. He said that immigration was the big “payoff” of the entire presidency for many of his supporters.
“It’s the big payoff, it’s the whole point of the exercise, and they’re not allowed to blow it,” he concluded.
Carlson was not the only immigration hawk who was disappointed by what he saw from the president – Ann Coulter also excoriated the president, saying that he was close to betraying his greatest supporters on the issue that mattered the most to them.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R., Texas) has introduced a bill that would make the individual tax cuts included in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act permanent.
Before the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act was signed into law, there were seven tax brackets: 10, 15, 25, 28, 33, 35, and 39.6 percent rates. The tax reform legislation cut those rates to 10, 12, 22, 24, 32, 35, and 37 percent.
While the corporate tax rate was cut permanently to 21 percent, most of the individual tax cuts are scheduled to expire at the end of 2025.
Cruz’s bill would amend the tax code to make the individual tax cuts permanent so they would not expire.
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) said in an interview that the tax cuts should have been made permanent. Cruz responded that Sanders should cosponsor his bill.
“I agree, Bernie Sanders—let’s make the middle-class tax cuts permanent,” Cruz tweeted. “Join me, we’ll cosponsor legislation (I’ve already got it drafted) that does exactly that, and we’ll get it passed in January!”

Responding to the suggestion that Hungary was not showing sufficient “solidarity” with the European Union because Germany accepted 2 million migrants but Hungary will not accept 2,000, Prime Minister Orbán told German tabloid BILD on Sunday: “The difference is: They wanted the migrants. And we do not.”
“We do our work by protecting the external Schengen border with Serbia. That cost us an extra one billion euros since 2015 and Brussels will not reimburse us one cent,” Orbán added.
Asked why Hungarians are resistant to the bloc’s forced migrant redistribution policy, Mr. Orbán asserted that, “We do not consider these people to be Muslim refugees,” but as “Muslim invaders”. Drawing attention to the fact that migrants had travelled through safe countries before heading to more prosperous parts of Europe, the prime minister added that many are “economic migrants” and not in genuine need of asylum.
“That was not a wave of refugees, that was an invasion,” Orbán told BILD, criticising Germany, “which we consider the best example of discipline and the rule of law”, for descending into “chaos and anarchy” in late September 2015 under the chancellorship of Angela Merkel by permitting mass “illegal border crossings”.

Orbán also raised Germany’s new “sociological problem” of migrant crime and terror, which his Central European nation wants to avoid.
“We believe that a high number of Muslims necessarily leads to parallel societies, because Christian and Muslim societies will never unite,” the Hungarian prime minister told the newspaper, adding that, “Multiculturalism is just an illusion. We do not want that. And we will not have anything forced on us.”
On Sunday, fellow Central European leader and open borders opponent Czech President Miloš Zeman told media that third world migrants’ culture is “not compatible with European culture”, and warned that “If the European Union does not obtain the courage to strengthen its external borders… we will have 10 million refugees from Africa in the course of several years.”

The Fidesz leader was in Germany last week to address a conference of the anti-open borders Bavarian conservatives – the traditional coalition partners of Chancellor Merkel’s Christian Democratic Union (CDU) – telling delegates and CSU leader Horst Seehofer that 2018 would be the year the will of the people would be restored in Europe.
Four months after federal elections took place and after thefirst round of negotiations with the Free Democratic Party (FDP) and Greens collapsed in November, Merkel is hoping to resurrect the ‘Grand Coalition’ of the CDU/CSU with the left-wing Social Democrats; the Social Democrats and Bavarian CSU are likely to clash over corporation tax and migrant benefits and family reunification.
Not since 1949 has Germany failed to form a government.
