Donald Trump Promotes Modern Skills-Based Immigration System in Davos After Offering Amnesty

President Donald Trump touted the benefits of a modern immigration system in Davos after releasing a plan to give 1.8 million illegal immigrants amnesty.

“Our immigration system is stuck in the past,” he said during his speech at the World Economic Forum. “We must replace our current system of extended family chain migration with a merit-based system of admissions.”

Trump said that new migrants to America should be allowed into the United States on the basis of their financial stability and ability to strengthen the economy.

The president has spent months emphasizing the importance of ending the “chain migration” of extended family members while appearing open to amnesty for illegal immigrants brought to the country as children.

The latest White House proposal offers up to 1.8 million illegals amnesty in exchange for reform that funds a border wall, ends the visa lottery system, and prevents the sponsoring of extended family members.

Amnesty proponents have declared the plan unacceptable, insisting it will cut existing immigration by 50 percent.

Homeowner spots pair of men trying to steal his utility trailer — and comes out blasting

It was after midnight Wednesday when homeowner Ashton Gallagher was eating before getting ready for bed when he heard noises outside his Maysville, Alabama, home.

Gallagher looked at his surveillance video and spotted two men trying to steal his utility trailer — and then took action.

“I grabbed my gun and headed out here and was like, ‘Hey, y’all need to drop my trailer.’ I said it more aggressively than that,” he told WAAY-TV.

The crooks didn’t drop it — so Gallagher said he opened fire at the trailer, which is an integral part of his daily income.

“That’s pretty much how I make my money,” he told the station. “I do landscaping. So that’s part of my living. If that’s gone then I have to go through everything else to get it back.”

What did Gallagher hit with his gunfire?

While Gallagher successfully blew out one of the trailer’s tires — which led 42-year-old Robert Dale Bradshaw to abandon it nearby — police told WAAY the gun-toting homeowner also hit the second suspect.

Derick Deangelo Vaughn, 31, ran from the scene and was shot under his arm, the station said.

Both suspects were arrested early Wednesday morning and charged with second-degree theft, WAAY reported.

Vaughn was treated and released from a hospital and then booked back into jail, the station said. Bonds for both men were set at $5,000.

“It wasn’t intentional,” Gallagher told WAAY. “I was aiming toward the vehicle. It’s 1 in the morning, and I’m tired and next to being asleep.”

What might happen to Gallagher?

Alabama Code Title 13-A justifies the use of force for citizens if they believe their lives are in danger, Madison County Lt. Donny Shaw told the station.

The district attorney will review the case, and it will be presented to a grand jury, which will determine if Gallagher will be charged, WAAY said.

“I’m aware of everything, but … I don’t see how I’ll be in the wrong,” Gallagher told the station. “Mainly because I’m defending my family and my property. I don’t see myself being in the wrong at all.”

Trump does so well in Davos speech that even NBC reporters are admitting he was ‘at his best’

Trump does so well in Davos speech that even NBC reporters are admitting he was 'at his best'
I’m not exactly sure what the media was expecting. They view everything this President does with a combination of hatred and horror, so they always assume the worst. I guess they thought Trump was going to take the podium at the World Economic Forum in Davos Switzerland, lift it over his head like the Incredible Hulk, and smash it over some unsuspecting European-socialist’s toupee.

Davos globalists experience what they engineered

Davos globalists experience what they engineered
As globalist billionaires and politicians gather for the World Economic Forum in Davos Switzerland, they are encouraged to take forty-five minutes out of their busy schedule to “walk in the shoes” of a refugee. As much as benevolent organizations tout this as an opportunity to share the heartache of a refugee’s experience, it is more an exercise in hubris than compassion.

Tom Fitton Slams Sessions DOJ: ‘Deep State’ Has Level of Control That Would Make Obama Admin ‘Blush’ (VIDEO)

Tom Fitton Slams Sessions DOJ: ‘Deep State’ Has Level of Control That Would Make Obama Admin ‘Blush’ (VIDEO)

Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton slammed the Sessions Justice Department Thursday evening, going as far as saying the Deep State is in control of the agency in ways that would make the Obama administration ‘blush.’

“There’s a lack of transparency at this Justice Department that would have made the Obama Justice Department blush,” Fitton lamented to Fox Business News host Lou Dobbs.

“The Deep State is in full control over there thanks to the leadership checking out on these transparency issues and refusing to be brave on these transparency issues,”continued Fitton.

“We’ve asked about these text messages, I can’t tell you how contemptuous they were in response.”

Fitton then went on to say the Sessions Justice Department responded to Judicial Watch’s request to obtain the text messages by essentially asking that they sue.

“They have basically been giving us the back of the hand and this is out of the new administration, not the Obama administration,” added Fitton.

Judicial Watch announced Wednesday it filed a FOIA lawsuit against the Sessions Justice Department in an effort to obtain the since-found text messages between FBI agents Peter Strzok and Lisa Page.

Rush: Trump’s Trip To Davos Is NOT Going The Way Media Dreamed It Would Go

The Big Voice on the Right took to the Golden EIB Mic Thursday to celebrate yet another narrative fail for the “Drive-Bys”: President Trump’s “triumphant” trip to Davos for the World Economic Forum.

“So Trump is over in Davos, and it isn’t going the way Drive-Bys dreamed it would go,” said Rush Limbaugh on his radio show Thursday. “Trump is being embraced. Trump is being celebrated. Trump is being lauded. The Drive-Bys expected Trump to be protested! They expected Trump to be shunned.”

Along with “ticking off” the media by showing he’s not scared of Special Counsel Robert Mueller, said Limbaugh, Trump really made the Drive-Bys’ heads explode on Thursday by disrupting their narrative that all those “globalists” he rails against in Davos would “shun” him. Instead, “The exact opposite happened. Trump arrived in Davos and is a rock star”:

LIMBAUGH: Who is at Davos? A bunch of globalists. A bunch of one-world government globalist types. Government types. CEO types. The kind of people that are supposed to hate Trump. Who is Trump? Trump’s a big nationalist, a big populist, so goes the reputation. …

So the narrative is that Trump will be hated. “Trump will be reviled. Trump will not be welcome — and, furthermore, the people in Davos are the brilliant globalists. They are the Obamas of the world, the remaining Obamas.” This is the narrative. This is the way the media looks at them. “The people in Davos, the CEOs and the government leaders are proper, globalist, leftist types who are sophisticated, who are refined, who are brilliant. None of which characteristics Trump possesses! He’s not refined, he’s not sophisticated, he’s not smart. He doesn’t know what he’s doing,” and so when Trump goes to Davos, he’s either to be rejected or made a fool of. …

The exact opposite happened. Trump arrived in Davos and is a rock star. Even Algore is defending some of Trump’s policies!

Limbaugh went on to note that Trump’s $1.5 trillion tax cut and the “resulting boom” has been “applauded in Davos.”

“The CEOs that are in Davos are enamored of Trump, and they’re universal in support,” said Limbaugh. While there are certainly “some stragglers,” said Rush, “there’s overwhelming support for Trump. And he has become a rock star. Everybody wants to be where Trump is. Everybody wants to be around Trump. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 200 points on the news of Trump’s reception in Davos. It’s now up about 160.”

To demonstrate the overt political bias of the mainstream media, and particularly CNN, Limbaugh played one of his “all-time favorite audio sound bites”: CNN’s Nic Robertson during the “Arab Spring” trying to convince CNN’s ever-dwindling audience that Egyptians reallyreally loved Barack Obama, but only ending up proving Egyptians couldn’t care less about him. Despite hoping to “drum up a bunch of people that hate Trump,” the media was forced to face the reality: all those “elitists” at Davos loved him.

Here’s the transcript of an “exasperated” Robertson forced to report on Trump’s “rock star” reception at Davos:

ROBERTSON: (exhasperated) Put yourself in Donald Trump’s shoes, and I was just standing there watching him walk in. All you would have seen is an array of people (stammering) filling — filling the room, w-who were very happy to film you and — and trying to ask you questions and — and — and — and, uhh, stand there while you were shaking hands with people! And then he was waving. Waving! It did feel like a victory lap, and — and shak[ing] hands with people! I asked him what was his message for the people here, for the leaders in Davos? And he said, “Peace and prosperity! Peace and prosperity!” Someone else a-a-after me asked him, “So what…? How do you expect to be received here?” And you know what his answer was? He didn’t say a word! He just said, “Look around you.”

“Totally unexpected, folks,” said Limbaugh. “You can hear the shock, you can hear the awe in the voice of Nic Robertson. …They’re watching it; they can’t accept it. It’s not what was supposed to happen!”

Trump Curse Strikes Again=> Jemele Hill OUT as Host of ESPN’s “SportsCenter”

Trump-hater Jemele Hill will no longer host ESPN’s “SportsCenter,” reports The Hollywood Reporter

Hill made national headlines after being suspended by the network for demanding advertisers boycott the Dallas Cowboys. Hill’s demand for a boycott was prompted by Jerry Jones’ decision to stand with President Trump’s position on the NFL’s kneeling epidemic.

The Hollywood Reporter reports:

Jemele Hill is exiting the 6 p.m. hour of SportsCenter,The Hollywood Reporter has learned. The move comes in the wake of Hill’s controversial tweets about President Trump and the National Anthem protests sweeping the NFL.

Sources tell THR that Hill’s last day on SC6 will be Friday, Feb. 2, two days before the Super Bowl. Michael Smith will host the program on his own, as he did when Hill was suspended last October for her NFL tweets.

She will remain at ESPN, where she is one year into a lucrative four-year deal. She’ll write for The Undefeated, the ESPN vertical dedicated to race, culture and sport. She’ll also host issues-based town halls and she’ll be free to do more field reporting and longer pieces, like her recent interview with Lynx forward Maya Moore. Hill also revealed recently that she has started a production company with friend and ESPN colleague Kelly Carter.

And while it’s tempting to assume that Hill’s social media flare ups had something to do with her exit, sources close to the situation say it was Hill’s decision to leave SportsCenter.

“Jemele Hill officially booted off 6 PM SportsCenter due to collapsing ratings as I’ve been telling you guys was coming on @outkick,” gloated Clay Travis.

Hill was so perturbed by Jones’ call for Cowboys players to stand for the Anthem that she called for people to boycott his advertisers.

Least we forget, Hill sparked outrage from conservatives after calling President Trump a “white supremacist.”

Not long after Hill began targeting Trump, the president began to hit back.

“With Jemele Hill at the mike, it is no wonder ESPN ratings have “tanked,” in fact, tanked so badly it is the talk of the industry!,” tweeted President Trump.

Media Praise Pro-Life Christian for Powerful Testimony Against Larry Nassar

A former gymnast is offering forgiveness for the unspeakable crimes Larry Nassar has been convicted of – and she’s being recognized by the media for it.

On Wednesday, Rachael Denhollander was the last of 156 victims to make a statement against a now-sentenced sexual abuser, former USA Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar. And her powerful message, one of grace and courage, is making waves in the national media.

The 33-year-old lives in Kentucky, with her husband Jacob, as a coach, lawyer and mom of three kids. Four, if you count her unborn baby (she’s pregnant, according to IndyStar writers!). She was the first woman to file a criminal complaint against Nassar in 2016, who has been sentenced to up to 175 years in prison.

“He penetrated, he groped me, he fondled me,” she remembered Wednesday of when she was a 15-year-old gymnast. “And then he whispered questions about how it felt.”

But that wasn’t all she said. She began her 36-minute statement by asking “How much is a little girl worth?” and went on to reference the Bible.

That’s because, earlier, she had noticed Nassar bring a Bible into the courtroom.

“If you have read the Bible you carry, you know the definition of sacrificial love portrayed is of God himself loving so sacrificially that he gave up everything to pay a penalty for the sin he did not commit,” she said. “By his grace, I, too, choose to love this way,”

Pointing to Jesus’ Biblical words on protecting children, she warned Nassar of the “final judgment where all of God’s wrath and eternal terror is poured out on men like you.”

She continued:

“Should you ever reach the point of truly facing what you have done, the guilt will be crushing. And that is what makes the gospel of Christ so sweet. Because it extends grace and hope and mercy where none should be found. And it will be there for you. I pray you experience the soul-crushing weight of guilt so you may someday experience true repentance and true forgiveness from God, which you need far more than forgiveness from me — though I extend that to you as well.”

From there, she cited C.S. Lewis, “where he says, my argument against God was that the universe seems so cruel and unjust. But how did I get this idea of just, unjust?”

“Larry, I can call what you did evil and wicked because it was,” she stressed. “And I can call it evil because I know what goodness is. And this is why I pity you.”

She added:

“Larry, you have shut yourself off from every truly beautiful and good thing in this world that could have and should have brought you joy and fulfillment, and I pity you for it. You could have had everything you pretended to be. Every woman who stood up here truly loved you as an innocent child, real genuine love for you, and it did not satisfy.”

According to her, she concluded, a little girl is worth “everything.”

Denhollander’s courage garnered a standing ovation at the Ingham County Circuit Court and praise from Judge Rosemarie Aquilina.

“You made all of this happen,” the judge commended. “You made all of these voices matter. Your sister survivors and I thank you. You are the greatest person I’ve ever had in my courtroom.”

Her words didn’t go unnoticed by the media either – especially in a piece by writer Lori Johnston for The Washington Post, which profiled the woman who “helped bring down Larry Nassar” while speaking about her faith. (The piece also noted that, in the past, Denhollander has written on religion and on abortion for sites including pro-life Live Action.)

The New York Times recognized her as the “single voice” that “eventually raised an army.” USA Today praised her “courage” in its headline. Time hailed the “emotional statement.” The New York Post called her the “true hero of the Nassar trial.”

“This was always how it was meant to end,” wrote Dvora Meyers for Deadspin. “So many of the women who had testified over the last seven days said that it was Denhollander’s story that inspired them to come forward.”
