Michael Moore cut off anti-gun activist David Hogg at a film premiere after he said Canadians might have to begin interfering in U.S. elections should Democrats not retake Congress in November.

Both Moore and Hogg took the stage for a Q&A session following a screening of the anti-Trump polemic “Fahrenheit 11/9” at the Toronto film Festival.

Before taking questions, Moore first let Hogg pump the audience up about what’s on the line in the upcoming midterm elections.

“I have a question for you guys,” Hogg said. “Who’s ready to save America?”

Obama shows up, makes some silly and pointless speech about himself … err … about the country, and the Left salivates like one of Pavlov’s dogs who just heard a bell ring. Not to mention the weeping, wailing, and gnashing of teeth from the MEDIA crying for their Messiah, claiming he was a better president and they felt safe with him in the White House.

Brian Stelter was impressively pathetic.

But other media types remember President Obama a tad differently, like Sharyl Attkisson, who quotes several different outlets talking about the media ‘abuses’ from the Obama administration.

Just say no to social justice.

Mayor Ben Zahn is allegedly banning Nike gear from the City of Kenner recreation facilities.

“Under no circumstances will any Nike product or any product with the Nike logo be purchased or used…at any City of Kenner Recreation Facility,” the mayor’s office said in a memorandum to Parks and Recreation Department Director Chad Pitfield.

The memorandum was circulated on social media, bearing the City of Kenner letterhead and Zahn’s signature.

The memo says that. effective immediately, any booster club operating at city recreation facilities must have their purchases of athletic equipment, including clothing or shoes, approved by Pitfield.[…]

The memo from Zahn’s office does not mention Kaepernick or the Nike campaign.

In a post on the City of Kenner, District 1 Facebook page, Councilman Gregory Carroll said he is “100 percent against” the decision. Carroll said he plans to meet with the Mayor and other council members to rescind the directive.

Colin Kaepernick’s advertisement for Nike has engendered quite a bit of talk about what “believing in something” means.

One Gold Star widow thinks the answer may lie in a far different place than Nike does.

In an appearance on “Fox & Friends” this weekend, Brittany Jacobs, who lost her husband in a training accident in 2011, said she wanted Nike executives and  Kaepernick to meet her at Arlington National Cemetery where her husband is buried, according to The Daily Caller.

“They can personally look in the eyes of my son and see what a dear sacrifice was made,” Jacobs said. “And they can look around and see thousands and thousands of people who also sacrificed everything for something that they believed in.”

Jacobs said that Nike’s decision to choose Kaepernick was one that was deeply insulting to those who really do know sacrifice.

“They could have chosen anyone and they chose this person who disrespected the flag,” Jacobs said. “If they could look at my son for a moment, look at his eyes, they would see a dear sacrifice.

“There are so many great men and women in this country who have sacrificed everything and Colin Kaepernick, he’s not one of them.”

Jacobs told host Pete Hegseth that the decision was personally traumatizing for her.

“To me it’s upsetting. This is a man who knelt before the flag that my husband, and that me and my son, we love, it’s so dear to us,” Jacobs said.

“My husband did sacrifice absolutely everything for the flag, for the country and for all that it stood for. To see someone who knelt before it be able to say that he sacrificed everything, it’s hard.

“It’s sad. It’s not right,” she said.

Jacobs first came to prominence in 2017 when she and her son were photographed by The Associated Press with President Donald Trump at Arlington National Cemetery on Memorial Day.

But rest assured, there are plenty of people who’ve never been in the public eye who feel this way. This is why the Nike campaign has sparked such intense feelings. While it might play well in Nike’s liberal home state of Oregon, the company is alienating roughly half of its potential market.

Or maybe it won’t even play well in a place like Oregon: A new survey by Morning Consult found that Nike’s favorability rating had declined from +69 favorable to +35 favorable in the wake of the Kaepernick advertisement.

In addition, the poll found that no demographic that liberals might think would be inclined to look favorably on the Nike advertisement — African-Americans, younger people and Nike buyers — felt more positively about the brand after the advertisement was unveiled.

The percentage of Americans who said they were likely to buy Nike products declined from 49 percent to 39 percent.

In other words, there area lot of people out there who agree with Brittany Jacobs — and who likely wouldn’t mind seeing Nike executives and Colin Kaepernick meet her at Arlington.

The Trump administration is shutting down the Washington headquarters of the Palestine Liberation Organization

According to The Washington Post reported, the announcement was made in a statement released by the State Department — and it was an announcement that practically screamed frustration with the Palestinians’ obstinance when it comes to real negotiations.

“PLO leadership has condemned a U.S. peace plan they have not yet seen and refused to engage with the U.S. government with respect to peace efforts and otherwise,” the statement declared, according to The Post.

As the Times of Israel notes, the Palestinian Authority “has boycotted the Trump administration and rebuffed its peace efforts since the US president’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital in December of last year.”

“The Palestinians claim East Jerusalem — which Israel captured from Jordan in the 1967 Six Day War and later annexed — as the capital of their future state.”

A statement from the Palestinian Authority’s Negotiations Affairs Department confirmed the move.

“We have been notified by a U.S. official of their decision to close the Palestinian Mission to the U.S.,” a statement by chief PLO diplomat Saeb Erekat read.

“This is yet another affirmation of the Trump Administration’s policy to collectively punish the Palestinian people, including by cutting financial support for humanitarian services including health and education. To this regard, we will take the necessary measures to protect the rights of our citizens living in the United States to access their consular services.”

The Palestinian Authority’s announcement quickly degenerated into an airing of grievances against alleged crimes committed by Israel.

“This dangerous escalation shows that the U.S. is willing to disband the international system in order to protect Israeli crimes and attacks against the land and people of Palestine as well as against peace and security in the rest of our region,” Erekat’s statement read.

“We reiterate that the rights of the Palestinian people are not for sale, that we will not succumb to U.S. threats and bullying and that we will continue our legitimate struggle for freedom, justice, and independence, including by all political and legal means possible. Accordingly, we continue to call upon the International Criminal Court to open its immediate investigation into Israeli crimes.”

Right, well, good luck with all of that.

For all of their obstinacy and bluster, the Palestinians gain approximately nothing. Just this weekend, in fact, they lost $25 million in funding for hospitals from the Trump administration for their actions, according to The Associated Press.

This is only going to make things worse.

And if they think this sort of talk about “Israeli crimes” or gripes about “collective” punishment for an entity that supports terrorism as openly and as odiously as the Palestinian Authority is going to get them anywhere, well, this is the Donald Trump administration. The man in the Oval Office stands with Israel a bit more steadily than the last president did.

The Palestinian Authority needs to sit down at the table and come to a solution.

Pretending that the Trump administration strengthening ties with Israel — including recognition of Jerualem as the capital of Israel — somehow makes it impossible for Palestinians to engage in real negotiations won’t get any member of the Palestinian leadership very far.

Now, it won’t even get them a headquarters in Washington, D.C. — and Israel’s going to love Trump for it.
