Joseph Mifsud is a Maltese academic, with high level connections to the Russian state and UK politicians. Mifsud is a former employee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malta, a former principal in the London Centre of International Law Practice, a professorial teaching fellow at the University of Stirling in Scotland, and director of the Diplomatic Academy of London.

Mifsud went missing after his connections to George Papadopoulos went public.

George Papadopoulos, the lower level campaign worker for the Trump campaign, appears to have been targeted by three individuals with ties to British and/or U.S. Intelligence: Joseph Mifsud, Alexander Downer and Stefan Halper.

Mifsud and Papadopoulos obtained positions at an organization named the Centre for International Energy and Natural Resources Law & Security. Papadopoulos was a ‘nobody’ and the Centre sketchy at best. Mifsud vanished in early November 2017, shortly after Papadopoulos was in the news and indicted. His whereabouts are still unknown.

Although the common story is that Mifsud is a Russian Agent, many ties seem to lead [him] back to UK Intelligence. Julian Assange put out a Twitter thread noting the connection between Mifsud and UK Intelligence.

Brian Whitaker at Medium.com put together this map of Mifsud’s connections and organizations.

Mifsud has many suspect relationships with British and Russian operatives. Mifsud is a member of the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR).

The ECFR’s top donor is the Soros Open Society Foundation.

Again, Mifsud went missing in 2017 after his relationship with George Papadopoulos was exposed.

Mifsud also has connections to Saudi operatives.

Joseph Misfud with Saudi operative Tarek Obaid.

Now this…
The DNC on Friday suggested Misfud may be dead.
The Hill reported:

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) on Friday raised the prospect that the London-based professor who told former Trump campaign adviser George Papadopoulos that Russia had “dirt” on Hillary Clinton may be dead.

DNC lawyers wrote in court filings Friday that Joseph Mifsud, who spoke to Papadopoulos during the 2016 presidential election, “is missing and may be deceased,” Bloomberg News reported. The lawyers did not elaborate.

The DNC stood by its claim in a statement to The Hill on Friday. The committee indicated that an investigator had been used to find Mifsud, who had disappeared for months, and was told the Maltese professor may be dead.

“The DNC’s counsel has attempted to serve Mifsud for months and has been unable to locate or contact him. In addition, public reports have said he has disappeared and hasn’t been seen for months,” DNC spokeswoman Adrienne Watson said.

Mifsud was reportedly teaching at a private university in Rome before he vanished late last year, shortly after his name emerged as a key figure in the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election.

The professor had reportedly not been in contact with prosecutors in Italy seeking to question him over allegations of financial wrongdoing and his fiancé told Business Insider earlier this year that she could not reach him.

The DNC’s revelation came in court filings Friday in their lawsuit against Russia, the Trump campaign and WikiLeaks for interfering in the 2016 presidential election. According to Bloomberg, the DNC said it believed all of the defendants in the case had been served, with the exception of Mifsud.

So who would have reason to get rid of Misfud?

The Deep State election interference may now include a murder.

The laughable claim that Betsy DeVos is “sweeping rape under the rug”

This would almost be amusing if it weren’t such a serious subject. Still railing against the “campus rape culture” theme, one feminist and social political activist has published a poison pen letter to Education Secretary Betsy DeVos in the WaPo this week. Jess Davidson is taking issue with a proposed rule change at the Department of Education which would more strictly define sexual harassment and identify who should receive reports of such crimes. Davidson’s complaint is once again based entirely on the constantly evolving definitions of Title IX and she concludes that DeVos is trying to “sweep rape back under the rug.”

When I was in college, another student sexually assaulted me after an off-campus party that took place just two blocks from the nearest dorm.

Yet if the assault had occurred under a draft proposal from the Education Department, as reported by the New York Times on Aug. 29, my university wouldn’t have been required to investigate and hold my assailant accountable — because the assault didn’t happen on campus property.

That I was sexually assaulted off campus didn’t make me any less traumatized. And it didn’t make my assault any less of a roadblock to my equal access to education. This leaked rule is as dangerous as it is cruel, as are many aspects of the draft proposal.

If implemented, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos’s drafted rule would deprive the thousands of survivors of sexual assault like me of the right to use the Title IX process to seek justice and healing. At best, DeVos’s drafted rule would discourage students from reporting sexual violence; at worst, it would deny student survivors their civil rights. This would be especially harmful to survivors from currently and historically underserved communities, making the Title IX process even more inaccessible to marginalized students.

Sorry for the lengthy excerpt, but this entire essay is composed of one baffling paragraph after another, each describing something horrible and then completely failing to address the underlying problem. The author goes on at length about how reporting rules would prevent students from going to “trusted teachers, coaches and resident advisers” to report a sexual assault. And it’s all wrapped up with a running theme of how Title IX is “civil rights legislation” which should protect students.

Of course, if you’re able to separate reality from condescending political mantras, you can see how Davidson’s entire premise is flawed and her preferred method of handling such matters actually puts students in more danger, not less, while undermining constitutional rights. The first thing to understand is what Title IX was supposed to be and how it’s been intentionally twisted in the modern era to suit certain political agendas. In case you’ve never looked, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 is actually quite short. Here’s the entire passage:

No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.

That’s it. That’s the entire thing. It was never supposed to deal with law enforcement issues beyond ensuring there was no discrimination in publicly funded education on the basis of sex. There were schools that absolutely did discriminate against young women in admissions and far more was spent on programs for the boys (most particularly in sports) than for the girls. Title IX was supposed to address that. But today, anything bad that happens to someone, particularly as part of a criminal act, is being interpreted as creating an environment where students are afraid to go to school, making it a Title IX issue. When it comes to rape and sexual assault, the claims are the loudest.

But guess what? The schools aren’t committing the assaults. Nor are teachers, coaches or dorm advisors qualified to investigate crimes. Kangaroo courts composed of university faculty and staff are neither legally empowered nor qualified to mete out justice nor determine guilt or innocence. Even if you believe that there’s a campus rape culture, this is not a Title IX issue. Department of Education guidelines need to be straightened out so the schools can focus on education – certainly without discrimination – and have the police handle the criminals.

Davidson relates the story of how she was sexually assaulted at an off-campus party, which is a tragedy. But she goes on to claim that, “the police could never have put me in separate classes or campus spaces from my rapist. That’s why Title IX exists.”

No, Ms. Davidson. That has nothing to do with Title IX. By your own report, you were raped. And you knew the identity of the perpetrator. The way to deal with that rapist was to put him on trial and send him to prison. Your solution would simply move you around so you wouldn’t be in the same classes with him. Or perhaps to kick him off campus. In other words, as long as you felt more safe, you were fine with setting a known rapist loose on the rest of the young women in the other classes or out in the wider community.

Also, if you’re going to accuse someone of rape, they deserve to have an attorney to defend them against the charges as specified in the constitution. As we’ve seen repeatedly, most campus kangaroo courts offer no such access to legal counsel. Everything about this push to discredit the work going on at the Department of Justice is not only misguided but harmful to at-risk students and undermines fundamental constitutional rights.

Kamala Harris Spreads Deceptively Edited Video To Attack Kavanaugh, Mainstream Media Runs With It

It’s not like members of the media didn’t watch every second of the confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. Yet when Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) put out a 10-second, clearly edited and cut to make Kavanaugh look bad, members of the left-leaning media ran with the quote.
Harris’ twitter account put out a clip that appeared to show Kavanaugh referring to birth control blanketly as “abortion-inducing drugs.”

GA Dem Congressional Candidate Vows To Stay In Race While Jailed For DUI

He has the Kennedy vote locked in.

Via WTOP:

A congressional candidate from Georgia says he’s ordering campaign signs and sending surrogates to meetings while he serves a jail sentence that could keep him locked up through Election Day.

Democrat Steve Foster of Dalton said in a jailhouse phone call to The Associated Press he has no intention to quit the race after a judge sentenced him Aug. 14 to spend six months in jail for a misdemeanor drunken driving conviction. The Nov. 6 election is just two months away.

“Look, I’m not withdrawing,” Foster said by phone Wednesday from the Catoosa County jail near the Georgia-Tennessee state line.

The 61-year-old former physician is the first Democrat since 2012 to challenge Republican U.S. Rep. Tom Graves in northwest Georgia’s 14th District. Even if he was free to campaign, Foster would be considered a longshot. Graves ran unopposed in his last two elections and won his last contested race with 73 percent of the vote.

Foster has rejected an editorial-page appeal from his hometown newspaper, the Daily Citizen-News of Dalton, to drop out of the race. Georgia law would allow the state Democratic Party to select a replacement candidate if Foster withdrew at least 60 days before the election. That window closes after Friday.

“Essentially what I’m doing here is we’re ordering yard signs, I’ve got people going to meetings, doing those kinds of things,” Foster said.

Foster said he might fare “perhaps even better” at the polls than previous Democrats who ran for Graves’ seat because of voters who feel he’s been treated unfairly.

“I put up $5,200 of my own money” to qualify for the House race, Foster said. “It’s my run. I know what the previous numbers were. I’d like to know what the numbers show even though they’ve got me in jail.”

CNN Spreads Democratic Lie About Kavanaugh, Brit Hume Busts Them

He was repeating what one of the parties was arguing, not stating his opinion but why let facts get in the way of a desperate lie?

Via Twitchy:

Congressional Democrats quickly started spreading a brief clip of Brett Kavanaugh answering a question to sound the alarm about the SCOTUS nominee. Among them was Sen. Kamala Harris.

The clip leaves out some important context, but CNN helped the Dems out by not exactly concerning themselves with that:

Famed UFC Fighter, Special Forces Vet Tim Kennedy Says Special Forces Furious About Nike’s Kaepernick Ad

Bad move, Nike. You’re getting pinned for this one.

Speaking to TMZ, Kennedy began, “There are problems. There are huge problems in the city; urban problems, police problems, crime problems, and they have to be addressed and something needs to be done about it, but not by disrespecting the flag and somebody making a few million dollars off a sponsorship. Come on.”

Ted Cruz Lays Down the Law: ‘Democrats Have Not Laid a Single Glove on Brett Kavanaugh’

Ted Cruz Lays Down the Law: ‘Democrats Have Not Laid a Single Glove on Brett Kavanaugh’

Well, it’s Saturday, which means the Brett Kavanaugh hearings are over. That means Democrats will have to find new sources for clips of them verbally berating the Trump administration to put in their donor emails.

I have to confess that I stopped paying attention to the Senate Judiciary Committee hearings on day three at roughly the moment Democrat New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker compared himself to the most famous Thracian warrior there ever was.

That was my Spartacus moment, where I stood up and said, “I am … watching something else,” got the remote and turned on a replay of the Yankees game.

If you sat through the whole thing, well, more power to you. You saw a lot of grandstanding, a lot of 2020 presidential candidates having their own “Spartacus moments” (declared or undeclared) and a lot of Dianne Feinstein being Dianne Feinstein.

What you didn’t see — and this is what’s important — is a single Democrat land a shot that stuck on President Trump’s nominee. Sen. Ted Cruz, who witnessed the whole thing firsthand as a member of the Judiciary Committee, made sure to take note of this in an appearance on Fox News in the midst of it all.

In his Wednesday appearance on “Hannity,” the Texas Republican said that for all the Democrats’ bluster, very little was accomplished.

“I think yesterday and today were both really good days; they were good days for the country, they were good days for Brett Kavanaugh,” Cruz said.

“In two days of hearings on the Judiciary Committee, the Democrats have not laid a single glove on Brett Kavanaugh. There’s been a lot of screaming, there’s been a lot of protesting, there’s been a lot of anger, and it’s really the reflection of the incredible rage and fury we’re seeing on the far left.

“And you’re right — by all appearances, these protests are closely coordinated with the Democratic senators.”

Do you think Brett Kavanaugh should be confirmed?

Cruz was referring to a report, according to Independent Journal Review, that the protests had all been coordinated by Democrat senators in the days before the hearings.

“But at the end of the day, the rage, the anger they’re having, they haven’t been able to give even a single argument that is going to derail this nomination,” Cruz said.

“No Democrat has disputed that Brett Kavanaugh is qualified to serve on the Supreme Court, and they’re just really expressing the rage of the far left to Donald Trump.”

That probably ought to be the biggest takeaway from the hearings — that there wasn’t anything that really questioned the fact that Kavanaugh was qualified, merely that nobody on the left liked Donald Trump.

Questions about judicial philosophy were at a minimum, conspicuous displays of resistance were at a maximum. And what was the result?

Cruz is right: Not “a single glove” was laid on the Supreme Court nominee.
