SJWs Excoriate Chef Gordon Ramsay For Wanting To Open An ‘Authentic Asian Restaurant’

The cultural appropriation police are coming to claim another scalp. This time it’s celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, who had the temerity to want to open an “authentic Asian restaurant.”

According to Fox News, Gordon Ramsey stoked the rage of SJWs on social media by announcing his plans to open an Asian restaurant in London this summer. The restaurant, Lucky Cat, would be opening on the site of his soon-to-be-closed restaurant Maze, which lost a reported £3.8 million last year.

“A revolutionary new venture and concept for the group, the restaurant is set to be an authentic Asian Eating House and a vibrant late-night lounge, inspired by the drinking dens of 1930s Tokyo and the Far East,” said Ramsay’s restaurant group upon announcing the venture. “Just as these nocturnal clubs were once the playground of urban dwellers seeking all things spirited and rebellious, Lucky Cat has woven these notions into the fabric of Lucky Cat, as showcased in everything from the menu concept to the innovative interior design.”

The announcement continued, “The new restaurant highlights Gordon Ramsay Restaurants’ continued innovation and creativity and is set to become the go-to destination for exquisite, authentic Asian cuisine and culture in the heart of Mayfair, thriving on an ethos of respect and passion that is channeled into every dish.”

The name derives from an Asian cultural custom where the “‘lucky cat’ is a talisman that is believed to attract good luck and fortune.” In a statement to Eater, Ramsay said the restaurant will bring new flavors of Asian cuisine to Mayfair.

“I can’t wait to open the doors at Lucky Cat and bring a new flavour of Asian food and culture to Mayfair,” he said. “I can honestly say there will not be a bad seat in the house — every table will have a unique view and each guest will come away having experienced something sensational — whether it be the phenomenal menu, the amazing service or the stunning look and feel.”

Though Lucky Cat will feature “tofu freak” Ben Orpwood as one of the menu’s contributors, a man with “extensive experience in the realm of Asian cuisine,” SJWs on social media say Lucky Cat is just another example of a white man stealing from Asian culture.

One Twitter user said: “No!!! Another celeb making profits off Asian culture & food without Asians at the table! How authentic can that be?! Gordon Ramsay’s cooking up another restaurant, and some people are not quite sure how he’s going to pull this one off.”

Jeff Yang said: “I dig his shows but it‘s impossible to have an ‘authentic Asian restaurant’ because Asia is a *continent*, not a cuisine. It’s like if he said he was opening an ‘authentic European restaurant.’ He’d get laughed out of town and I hope this does.”

“I would love for @GordonRamsay to actually NOT join the ranks of the many white people that are capitalizing on Asian culture without putting equal effort into giving Asians seats at the table of equity,” another user said.

The outrage against Gordon Ramsay recalls what happened to two white women, Kali Wilgus and Liz “LC” Connelly, of Portland, who had to close their burrito stand after leftists accused them of stealing when they explained to Willamette Week about how they became obsessed with tortilla-making after traveling to Mexico.

“I picked the brains of every tortilla lady there in the worst broken Spanish ever, and they showed me a little of what they did,” said Connelly. “They told us the basic ingredients, and we saw them moving and stretching the dough similar to how pizza makers do before rolling it out with rolling pins.”

After opening the stand, Kooks Burritos, the business thrived until leftists trolled it into oblivion. Mic.com and The Portland Mercury lead the charge.

“Because of Portland’s underlying racism, the people who rightly own these traditions and cultures that exist are already treated poorly. These appropriating businesses are erasing and exploiting their already marginalized identities for the purpose of profit and praise,” accused The Portland Mercury.

Kooks Burritos eventually closed, which the papers called a “victory.”

Southcom Says Venezuelan Military ‘Center of Gravity’ in Crisis

The commander of the Southern Command said Thursday Venezuela’s military and Cuban security personnel in the country are the "center of gravity" in the crisis between competing governments in the capital city of Caracas.

Adm. Craig S. Faller, the Southcom commander, also testified to the Senate Armed Services Committee, that the U.S. military is prepared to use force to protect Americans in Venezuela. "We are prepared to protect U.S. personnel and diplomatic facilities, if necessary," he said.

The Trump administration has warned of unspecified "grave consequences"—including possible U.S. military intervention—if Maduro’s forces resort to widespread violence against the pro-democracy opposition.

A major concern is the large numbers of Cuban military and intelligence personnel providing security for Venezuela’s embattled leftist leader Nicolas Maduro.

Maduro, a supporter of communist-ruled Cuba, is fighting to remain in power after the United States and several regional and international states shifted official recognition from his regime to parliamentary leader Juan Guaido, who declared himself acting president of Venezuela.

Russia and China continue to back the Maduro regime. China has loaned Venezuela about $62 billion and Moscow has supplied $17 billion in loans and investment. Both states could lose those billions if Maduro is ousted.

Faller also criticized China for meddling in the Venezuela crisis, including the use of cyber attacks. "China has not been helpful in a diplomatic way," he said. "I’ll leave that to the diplomats, but China is in there, and they’re involved in cyber in ways that are absolutely not helpful to a democratic outcome." He did not elaborate.

Russian state media also recently utilized propaganda broadcasts in support of Maduro. Faller said the official TASS news agency broadcast video of Russian troops conducting amphibious landings and helicopter assaults as part of saber-rattling.

"The situation in Venezuela is dire," Faller said. "Maduro’s illegitimate government starves its people by using food as a weapon while corrupt generals are rewarded with money from illegal drug trafficking, oil profits and businesses, all at the expense of the population and others—and the rank and file military."

Faller said Venezuela’s military has some 2,000 generals—more than all of NATO combined. "The majority of them are on the payroll of Maduro via illicit drug trafficking and corrupt businesses and that’s what he’s using to buy their loyalty and their protection," he said.

As for Cuba, the four-star admiral said Havana’s political police and security service "pretty much owns the security around Maduro and is deeply entrenched in the intelligence service."

"And so that remains a center of gravity for Maduro," Faller said. "The legitimate government of President Guaido has offered amnesty and a place for the military forces, most of which we think would be loyal to the Constitution, not to a dictator, a place to go and I think that the diplomacy is that path that we’re trying to support."

So far in the crisis, Venezuelan military forces have not been ordered to use force against Venezuelans engaged in daily mass protests against the Maduro government.

Venezuela’s military is losing some of its readiness. "It’s a degraded force, but it’s still a force that remains loyal to Maduro and that makes it dangerous," Faller said, adding that Southcom is watching for signs the Venezuelan military is "cracking."

There are an estimated 47,000 Americans living in Venezuela along with around 1 million Europeans, many of whom are dual nationals.

Additionally, Cuban security forces, estimated to be as many as 25,000 military and intelligence personnel, control the top levels of the Venezuelan military. Rank and file troops and middle-level officers appear loyal to the Venezuelan people.

The admiral said Cuba is "intertwined in all enemy elements of Venezuela."

Faller said he agrees with the remark of White House National Security Adviser John Bolton who called the country "Cubazuela. I would agree with that characterization."

Cuba also is influencing Nicaragua through security personnel.

Faller said the U.S. government is closely watching Venezuela’s foreign security forces, including Russians in the country. "We’ve seen reporting of Russian security forces being flown in," he said. "We’re looking for evidence to how that will play out, and certainly this is an area that has our focus as well as all our partners in the interagency."

Faller said he recently visited a Navy-supported medical camp on the Colombian-Venezuelan border and saw children that lost up to 30 pounds in the past year from lack of food. Many Venezuelans also lack basic medical care.

"We think that condition affects a large swath of the population and we think that population’s ready for a new leader," he said.

Some 3 million people have migrated out of Venezuela and the influx of refugees is creating a crisis for neighboring states, including Columbia, Brazil, Ecuador and Peru, Faller said.

Faller was asked about U.S. economic sanctions imposed on Venezuela, a major oil-producing state, and the impact of sanctions on efforts to force Maduro to step down.

"We are watching that closely. … We’re seeing impacts, but we haven’t seen the desired result, which is a peaceful democratic transition to a legitimate government yet," he said.

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) asked Faller about the use of Cuban security forces. "So Venezuela’s intelligence and security services are so corrupt, so incompetent, so disloyal, so sclerotic that Maduro cannot even count on his own personal safety in his bed at night on his own people?"

"That’s a fair assessment as I understand, senator," Faller said.

In his prepared statement, Faller testified that six states pose a threat to U.S. interests in the region: Russia, China, Iran, Cuba, Nicaragua, and Venezuela.

Russia’s recent dispatch of two nuclear-capable Tu-160 bombers to Venezuela was designed to bolster the Maduro regime and as a show of force to the United States, he said.

Regionally, Venezuela is increasing provocative activities, including providing sanctuary for National Liberation Army (ELN) fighters that threaten Colombia’s stability.

"Russia and Cuba are both complicit in Venezuela’s descent into dictatorship, but Cuba is particularly influential in supporting Maduro," Faller said. "Following the Cuban government’s advice and assisted by its intelligence machinery, Maduro is adhering to the autocratic blueprint Cuban leaders have ruthlessly executed for over six decades."

There’s Nothing New About the Green New Deal

Democrats unveiled their latest version of the Green New Deal on Thursday, but despite some concessions to reality, this version is still little more than socialism masked as environmental policy.

It’s a modern rehash of the original New Deal of the 1930s, which despite its success in increasing the size of government and distending the Constitution, had its excesses contained by the Supreme Court.

President Franklin Roosevelt’s New Deal also failed to turn the economy around.

The Green New Deal, introduced by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., and Sen. Ed Markey, D-Mass., is a little less aggressive in its calls to abolish the carbon economy than previous proposals. However, their nonbinding resolution still demands “net-zero greenhouse gas emissions” by 2030, among many other measures that ultimately would lead to a complete government takeover of the energy sector.

According to the climate activist website Generation Yes, net-zero emissions means “reducing the volume of greenhouse gas emissions that human activity releases into the atmosphere until our total output is no greater than the emissions we remove, through activities like planting carbon forests, reducing deforestation and using technologies like carbon capture and storage. So no more goes out than goes in = net zero.”

But how, exactly, we are to get to a net-zero emission economy when that goal is so far beyond the limits of current technology remains unexplained.

In the Frequently Asked Questions section of the resolution, Ocasio-Cortez and Markey address this problem with an, um, bizarre line: “We set a goal to get to net-zero, rather than zero emissions, in 10 years because we aren’t sure that we’ll be able to fully get rid of farting cows and airplanes that fast.”

Despite some trepidations about feasibility, Ocasio-Cortez and Markey will still try to abolish greenhouse gas emissions. For instance, by making air travel obsolete.

Are we really to believe that high-speed rail is going to grow to “a scale where air travel stops becoming necessary,” within 10 years as the plan suggests?

Given the incredible cost and total failure of California’s “bullet train to nowhere,” a project that even the far-left website Mother Jones called “officially insane,” does it really seem likely that this idea will lead to a national panacea?

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., even threw shade at the vague and dreamy nature of the proposal, which seems in some way more like a far-left piety test than serious policy.

At this time, the Green New Deal polls pretty well, even among Republicans, as Ocasio-Cortez is fond of pointing out. Yet, as with so many other issues, Americans tend to change their minds quickly when they learn how much a government program will cost them.

It’s important to note that, according to a report by NBC, polls show that Americans say they want to combat climate change, but aren’t willing to pay even $10 a month to do so.

The truth is, the Green New Deal is still quite radical, and despite growing support within the ranks of the Democrat Party, it likely would be unpalatable to the American people once they figure out exactly what it is.

And it would be costly.

The Green New Deal’s aggressive agenda to “green” every building in America, provide health care for all, and guarantee a job for every American will cost taxpayers tens of trillions of dollars and require an exponential enlargement of the federal budget, which already relies heavily on borrowing and piling up debt.

In just the past decade alone, the national debt has more than doubled—from $10 trillion to just under $22 trillion today. This adds up to about $70,000 per person, according to USA Today. The median household income in 2018 was just over $60,000, to put that in perspective.

This is clearly not just a proposal to reduce carbon emissions. If it were, it wouldn’t include the proposal to completely  “transition off of nuclear” energy. If the world is going to end because of climate change, one would think nuclear energy would be one of the solutions to that problem.

On top of that, the Green New Deal aims at bludgeoning the fossil fuel industry, which, despite pie-in-the-sky promises that wind and solar energy will fix everything, still provides for the vast majority of our energy needs.

Of course, the Green New Dealers are completely unconcerned with these little details. Mere trivialities when utopia is around the corner.

The proposal actually contains this howler when addressing the costs: “At the end of the day, this is an investment in our economy that should grow our wealth as a nation, so the question isn’t how will we pay for it, but what will we do with our new shared prosperity.”

So the message is: Don’t worry your little heads, embrace the Green New Deal and all of your dreams will come true.

Though Ocasio-Cortez and other far-left proponents of the plan love to talk a good game about how the rich are going to pay for everything, the Green New Deal would fall disproportionately on poor, working-class, and middle-class Americans.

Philip Rossetti, director of energy at the American Action Forum, writes:

A 100 percent renewable electricity grid would require Americans to pay between 43 and 286 percent more on their electric bills. In 2017, the average monthly electric bill was $111, so a 43-286 percent increase would translate to an average of between $576 and $3,882 more spent on electricity per year per residence.

Needless to say, these are costs that many Americans can’t afford.

Craig Richardson, president of the Energy & Environment Legal Institute, writes in the Washington Examiner that the “ugly truth” is that these policies “would serve as a regressive tax on the poor.” Richardson continues:

Ironically, it would be minorities and the poorest of the poor who would be disproportionately harmed. Low-income households already pay 7.2 percent of household income on home energy costs, more than three times the proportion paid by higher-income households on average, according to an American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy report.

Not only are there not enough billionaires to soak to pay for the awesomely expensive plan, but the economic harm ultimately would fall most heavily on average Americans who would see their energy costs skyrocket and their jobs eliminated.

Oh, but don’t worry, if you lose your job, you will be put on welfare. That’s the American dream right there!  

One provision in the Green New Deal stipulates that you will get economic security even if you are “unable or unwilling” to work. Out with the self-made man, in with the unrepentant mooch, I guess.

The Green New Deal is just the latest and most aggressive attempt by the left to move the American economy toward top-down government control.

It preys on the wild claims of the environmentalist movement—such as telling us that the world will end in 12 years—to foist socialist ideas on a country that has consistently rejected them.

Almost as bad is the fact that after immense cost and curtailment of liberty there would be little positive impact in changing the trajectory of climate change, even if the doomsday predictions are true.  According to the U.N.’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s own numbers, if the United States cut carbon dioxide emissions by 100 percent, that would decrease temperatures by less than 0.2 degrees by the year 2100.

In the end, the Green New Deal is likely to be little more than a rehash of the corrupt, crony- capitalist, green-energy schemes of the past few decades, producing scores of new Solyndras and other boondoggles that enrich backers and impoverish everyone else.

Solyndra, a taxpayer-subsidized manufacturer of solar panels, was only the tip of the iceberg under President Barack Obama’s aggressive climate initiatives. According to a study by Mercatus Center, a free-market think tank associated with George Mason University, “federal subsidies for solar energy alone increased by about 500 percent, from $1.1 billion to $5.3 billion,” between 2010 and 2013.

But even with this surge in money, it didn’t mean those green energy companies succeeded in any way.

“[Subsidies] didn’t stop the largest U.S. solar panel manufacturer, SolarWorld, from filing for bankruptcy earlier this year despite $115 million in federal and state grants and tax subsidies since 2012, along with $91 million in federal loan guarantees,” mercatus noted,

Ocasio-Cortez once attacked Amazon for cronyism and targeted subsidies, so why not the green industry?

In addition to the wasteful and obnoxious corporate cronyism, there is a greater threat at stake here.

As I wrote in January: “It’s no exaggeration to say that if implemented, the Green New Deal would upend our way of life and destroy the liberty and prosperity that Americans, of all backgrounds, currently enjoy.”

President Donald Trump said in his State of the Union address that “America will never be a socialist country.”

If we embrace the ideas of the Green New Deal, though, we will be.

Baby Killing Is Fine. Yearbook Photos Are The Problem.

Last week, Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam was hit with a shocking blast from the past: a photo on his medical school yearbook page of a man in blackface and another man in a Ku Klux Klan outfit. Northam quickly apologized for the photo, then said he wasn’t in the photo and then admitted he had once worn blackface and dressed up as Michael Jackson for a dance contest. He nearly moonwalked at a press conference before his wife gave him a look that could curdle milk.

For this sin — the sin of an old, disgusting, racially insensitive photo — Northam now finds his political career on the skids. As of this writing, he’s hanging on by his fingernails, even as his lieutenant governor struggles with dicey sexual assault allegations.

The same week that Northam found himself in hot water, he endorsed a Virginia bill that would have broadened the ability of women to obtain an abortion up to the point of birth. Virginia Delegate Kathy Tran, a sponsor of the bill, stated in defense of her legislation that women would be able to obtain an abortion during labor . Northam then defended the bill, adding that if a baby were born alive during such an abortion — he assumed that the abortion would be due to “severe deformities” or “a fetus that’s not viable” — then the baby could be “kept comfortable” while the family and the doctor decide its fate.

Even in the least appalling reading of his comments, Northam clearly endorsed infanticide. The only question is whether he endorsed the murder of fully born children.

Yet these comments did not merit his ouster. In fact, they didn’t even merit an argument inside the Democratic Party about the extremism of the pro-choice position. Last month, Democrats in the state of New York cheered wildly for a law that opened the floodgates to third-trimester abortion, with Gov. Andrew Cuomo ordering state sites to be illuminated in pink in celebration of the potential murder of the unborn. The Democratic governor of Rhode Island endorsed a similar bill; Democrats in Vermont attempted to pass an even more extreme bill that would enshrine abortion as a “fundamental right” for the entirety of the pregnancy period.

All of this is apparently less controversial than a three-decades-old photograph showing a medical student in blackface. Endorsing the killing of babies during dilation today — not 30 years ago, not 30 weeks ago — is considered less of a faux pas than racially offensive idiocy during the Reagan presidency.

The morality of our nation may be skewed beyond repair. Northam certainly deserves criticism for his yearbook stupidities, and for his even more idiotic response. But if the American people are more consumed with the consequences of insulting costumes from 1984 than the murder of the unborn today, we deserve everything we have coming to us.

DOJ to investigate sweetheart deal Jeffrey Epstein reached with U.S. Attorney Alex Acosta

The Miami Herald reports today that the Department of Justice has announced it will open an investigation into a plea deal which Jeffrey Epstein reached with then-U.S. Attorney Alex Acosta who is currently Trump’s Secretary of Labor:

The Department of Justice has opened an investigation into Secretary of Labor Alex Acosta’s role in negotiating a controversial plea deal with a wealthy New York investor accused of molesting more than 100 underage girls in Palm Beach.

The probe is in response to a request by Sen. Ben Sasse, a a Nebraska Republican and member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, who raised questions about the case following a series of stories in the Miami Herald.

Just last week the DOJ Inspector General said he could not take up the case because of statutory limitations:

In a letter responding to Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, a Florida Democrat, and other lawmakers, Michael Horowitz, the inspector general, said there were “important questions” about the resolution of the Epstein case, but lamented that allegations of misconduct relating to Justice Department attorneys’ handling of litigation or legal decisions falls outside his purview.

It appears that with an IG investigation ruled out, the DOJ Office of Professional Responsibility is stepping up to look at this. This is long overdue.

I wrote about the Miami Herald series that prompted all of this here. Epstein was accused of bringing dozens of teenage girls, most of them high school students at the time, to his Florida mansion to give him sexual massages for money. Investigators were in the process of rounding up witnesses to make a case which could have landed Epstein behind bars for the rest of his life. Instead, Epstein leveraged his wealth and a dream team of attorneys and private investigators to reach a sweetheart deal with then-U.S. Attorney Alex Acosta. From the Herald’s story:

Not only would Epstein serve just 13 months in the county jail, but the deal — called a non-prosecution agreement — essentially shut down an ongoing FBI probe into whether there were more victims and other powerful people who took part in Epstein’s sex crimes, according to a Miami Herald examination of thousands of emails, court documents and FBI records.

The pact required Epstein to plead guilty to two prostitution charges in state court. Epstein and four of his accomplices named in the agreement received immunity from all federal criminal charges. But even more unusual, the deal included wording that granted immunity to “any potential co-conspirators’’ who were also involved in Epstein’s crimes. These accomplices or participants were not identified in the agreement, leaving it open to interpretation whether it possibly referred to other influential people who were having sex with underage girls at Epstein’s various homes or on his plane.

As part of the arrangement, Acosta agreed, despite a federal law to the contrary, that the deal would be kept from the victims. As a result, the non-prosecution agreement was sealed until after it was approved by the judge, thereby averting any chance that the girls — or anyone else — might show up in court and try to derail it.

Not only was the deal a bargain for Epstein and any “potential co-conspirators,” not only was it kept secret from the victims, but it gave Epstein a pass by treating a 14-year-old girl as a prostitute rather than a victim of child sex-trafficking by adults:

Epstein admitted to committing only one offense against one underage girl, who was labeled a prostitute, even though she was 14, which is well under the age of consent — 18 in Florida…

“It’s just outrageous how they minimized his crimes and devalued his victims by calling them prostitutes,’’ said Yasmin Vafa, a human rights attorney and executive director of Rights4Girls, which is working to end the sexual exploitation of girls and young women.

“There is no such thing as a child prostitute. Under federal law, it’s called child sex trafficking — whether Epstein pimped them out to others or not. It’s still a commercial sex act — and he could have been jailed for the rest of his life under federal law,” she said.

In addition to being a grade A creep, Epstein was also known as supporter and friend of Bill Clinton. In 2016, Fox News reported that Clinton flew on Epstein’s private jet 26 times. That’s more than other sites had reported previously. Whatever the case, it’s clear the two were chummy. Gee, I wonder what they liked to talk about? It’s a real head-scratcher. But as usual, Bill Clinton isn’t expected to be accountable for his behavior.

The Nuclear Option: State of the Union? Gosnell Could Be Virginia Governor

Last week, a major political party in America openly embraced legislation to legalize elective abortion during live human birth. Previously, such infanticidal horrors had been glimpsed only in murder trials of monsters like Kermit Gosnell, the Philadelphia abortionist serving a life sentence for murdering three babies at birth.

In this modern Democratic Party, Gosnell could serve as Virginia governor — at least he would not have a history with blackface. Perhaps he could even be the party’s nominee for president in 2020.

This week, the same Democratic Party has openly and emphatically embraced open borders and lawlessness. The immigration laws that Democrat politicians once argued for, voted for, enacted and enforced are today completely meaningless to them.

A Democratic lawmaker from New Jersey has invited an illegal alien from Guatemala to pass through every security checkpoint imaginable to enter the House Chamber to watch President Trump’s State of the Union Address before Congress.

In past years, Democrats have invited so-called “Dreamers,” who as children were dragged into the country illegally by their parents. These so-called “Dreamers” are protected from deportation by a web of executive action and legal rulings.

But the illegal alien from Guatemala invited to Tuesday’s SOTU address is in no way protected from prosecution and deportation. The woman came to the country illegally of her own accord in 1999 and has been living illegally in the U.S. ever since. By her own admission, she has forged documents so that she could work illegally in the United States.

Even if this woman were to be arrested or otherwise come to the attention of U.S. Capitol Police, she would not be turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement. That is because U.S. Capitol Police have a policy against alerting ICE when they detain or become aware of an illegal alien illegally in the House Chamber or anywhere else.

Congress — the so-called “People’s House” — has officially become a “sanctuary” against the very federal laws enacted in the House and Senate chambers. According to Democratic politicians, these laws no longer apply.

Which laws? Well, that depends. According to Democratic leaders, some laws still apply to some people. Other laws do not apply to certain other people.

How do we know which laws apply to which people?

It all depends on the whims of these Democrat politicians. But here is one little hint: Laws almost always apply to innocent tax-paying citizens. They often do not, however, apply to noncitizens who are illegal aliens illegally residing and illegally working in the U.S.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her lawless gang of scofflaws may as well blockade the Supreme Court with scaffolding, climb to the top and take hammer and chisel to the sacred words inscribed in the great marble pediment.

“Equal justice under law” no longer applies to the American citizenry, according to these people. Certain laws only apply to certain people, as politicians see fit.

Kermit Gosnell must be wondering why on earth he is spending the rest of his life in jail.

RNC National Spokeswoman Says Instagram Removed Her Post on Elizabeth Warren’s Texas State Bar Card For ‘Harassment,’ and ‘Blackmail’

RNC spokeswoman, Kayleigh McEnany said on Wednesday that Instagram, a photo-sharing app owned by Facebook, removed her Elizabeth Warren post and accused McEnany of ‘harassment,’ ‘bullying’ and ‘blackmail.’

“I have been warned by Instagram and cannot operate my account because I posted an image of Elizabeth Warren’s Bar of Texas registration form via Washington Post. I’m warned that I am “harassing,” “bullying,” and “blackmailing” her,” Ms. McEnany said in a tweet with a screenshot of the message from Instagram.

“This is outrageous. Instagram is targeting conservatives and actively trying to protect 2020 Dems. The censorship from big tech of conservatives has to stop,” McEnany added.

Kayleigh McEnany also said that Instagram will not allow her to operate her account unless she clicks “ok” and agrees that posting Elizabeth Warren’s Texas Bar registration card is “bullying,” “harassment,” and “blackmail.”

The Washington Post first reported on Elizabeth Warren’s Texas Bar registration card Tuesday evening.

Using an open records request during a general inquiry, The Washington Post obtained Elizabeth Warren’s registration card for the State Bar of Texas, revealing Warren identified as an “American Indian.”

This Texas State bar registration card is the first document to be released showing Elizabeth Warren, in her own handwriting, indeed fraudulently used her ‘Native American’ heritage to get ahead.

Warren’s office did not dispute the authenticity of the document and it was widely reported by all major news outlets, but Instagram is not allowing the truth to be shared because they are running cover for a potential 2020 Democrat candidate.

Where the hell is Congress??

Colorado Teacher Facing Dismissal for Calling Kentucky Student ‘Hitler Youth’

A Colorado school district is reportedly about to dismiss a teacher after she wrote several tweets calling a Kentucky student a member of the “Hitler Youth.”

Douglas County School District Superintendent Thomas Tucker requested that the school board fire Mountain Ridge Middle School teacher Michelle Grissom after she wrote several tweets accusing the Kentucky student of being in the misrepresented viral video showing an encounter between Covington Catholic student Nick Sandmann and Native American activist Nathan Phillips at the March for Life in Washington, DC.

“I understand that many in the community have strong opinions regarding Ms. Grissom and the circumstances giving rise to my recommendation. The District respects those opinions. However, to ensure that the process complies with Colorado law, while the dismissal process is ongoing, Douglas County School District will not provide further comment,” Superintendent Thomas Tucker wrote in a statement obtained by KDVR Tuesday.

Tucker said Grissom has the right to request a hearing before the school formalizes its decision.

Grissom, whom the district has placed on administrative leave since January 20, penned a viral tweet misidentifying a student as Sandmann, calling him part of the “Hitler Youth.”

“His name is Jay Jackson. His twitter account is closed to non followers so we don’t interfere with his training in the #HitlerYouth,” Grissom said in a now-deleted tweet, according to Complete Colorado.

But the student in question turned out not to be in Washington, DC, at the time, as the 17-year-old boy’s father responded to Grissom, telling her that his son was at a varsity basketball game and not in D.C. on the school’s field trip.

“She finally apologized but has refused to take down her post and my son’s picture. My son was harassed and bullied as a result of this teacher’s rush to judgment…totally abhorrent behavior and inexcusable actions that need to have consequences,” the father later tweeted.

The March for Life incident on the Lincoln Memorial quickly went viral, prompting politicians, media outlets, celebrities, and others to accuse Sandmann of harassing Phillips and vilify him online.

Subsequent video clips which revealed more of the story showed that the Covington Catholic students, wearing “Make America Great Again” hats, were the ones being harassed before Phillips approached the group.

Another group, the Black Hebrew Israelites, was spotted in the footage verbally accosting the students with racial slurs.

Sandmann’s family has since retained legal counsel, which has prepared to take legal action against a large number of individuals and groups for libel and defamation.

Sandmann’s legal team has been preparing to send defamation suit warning letters to a laundry list of celebrities, individual journalists, media outlets, and several Catholic dioceses who falsely accused Sandmann and his classmates of harassing a Native American.

His lawyers also released a 15-minute video exposing “the truth” about what happened to Sandmann at the March for Life.

New Jersey Residents to Be Hit with ‘Rain Tax’

New Jersey residents could soon see their hard-earned dollars go down the drain if Democrat Gov. Phil Murphy decides to sign recently passed legislation from New Jersey’s legislature allowing for a “rain tax.”

The legislation, Senate Bill S-1073, which the New Jersey Assembly and Senate approved, would allow local governments to create water utilities that would give them the power to tax homeowners and business owners with large paved surfaces.

When it rains, the rainwater mixes with pollutants and seeps into municipal sewage systems. The money collected would replace or repair sewage pipes or create “green infrastructure,” such as rain gardens that would collect polluted water.

“With all the salt that we’ve had on roads recently, that’s all running into the sewer systems, so you can’t ignore the problems because they don’t go away,” New Jersey Senate President Steve Sweeney told CBS New York.

Republicans have blasted the bill, dubbing it a “rain tax” on residents who contribute a large portion of their salary to state and local taxes.

“We all want to protect our environment. We all want to preserve it for future generations, but this is a weighted tax,” State Sen. Tom Kean Jr. told CBS New York. “The citizens of New Jersey … really [have] no way to defend themselves against tax increases at local levels.”

The bill would not only allow these utilities to collect taxes from residents, but it would also authorize them to go after people who do not pay them.

The governor’s office said Wednesday it could not comment on the pending legislation, which several reports say Murphy is likely to sign.

The New Jersey Democrat has 40 days to decide whether or not to make the legislation state law.
