Limbaugh: Here’s Why The Newly Revealed Texts From Anti-Trump Strzok Are So ‘Significant’

On his talk radio program Tuesday, conservative commentator Rush Limbaugh discussed the newly revealed messages from former FBI agent Peter Strzok, who was removed from the Trump-Russia investigation after his overt anti-Trump bias came to light. Strzok’s newly released texts and emails from December 2016 and April 2017 triggered a request by two high-ranking Republican senators‌ on Monday for further investigation. The reason they’re so “significant,” said Limbaugh, is they provide a possible clue about the role of John Brennan’s CIA in spreading false “collusion” claims to the press.

On Monday, Senate Homeland Security Committee Chairman Ron Johnson (R-WI) and Finance Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) sent a letter to Intelligence Community Inspector General Michael Atkinson highlighting a text and an email from Strzok that raised serious questions. In a December 2016 text to his paramour, former FBI lawyer Lisa Page, Strozk wrote: “Think our sisters have begun leaking like mad. Scorned and worried and political, they’re kicking in to overdrive.” Then, in an April 2017 email to some of his FBI colleagues, Strzok wrote: “I’m beginning to think the agency got info a lot earlier than we thought and hasn’t shared it completely with us. Might explain all these weird/seemingly incorrect leads all these media folks have. Would also highlight agency as source of some of the leaks.”

Limbaugh addressed the “fascinating” development on Tuesday. “Now, this is significant, because we now know that there was no evidence of Trump-Russia collusion,” he said. “It looks like the CIA was, in fact, leaking false Trump-Russia stories to the press to undermine Trump. These are leaks that even the FBI agents running their own version of a coup thought were wrong and incorrect, and it was John Brennan running the CIA at the time.”

“[T]hey’re concluding that Brennan and the CIA are leaking and putting this stuff in the media that they, then, have to deal with themselves,” he said after dismissing the idea that this was a “CYA” attempt by the FBI. “And they are concluding here, these are ‘incorrect leads all these media folks have.’ That is a solid indication that the FBI’s looking at this as it’s happening, and that the CIA is releasing a bunch of BS that even the FBI thought was BS. And the media was just swallowing it all up, not questioning any of it.”

Why was the media unquestioningly accepting this “BS”? Because “it came from Obama’s CIA, which they revere,” said Limbaugh.

The host then highlighted one of those early leaked claims that proved to be false: that Putin was “personally involved” in colluding with Trump, a claim reported just two days before Strzok’s December text:

“U.S. Officials: Putin Personally Involved in U.S. Election Hack.” That has to be Brennan. It has to be. It has to be the CIA. From the article: “U.S. intelligence officials now believe with ‘a high level of confidence’ that Russian President Vladimir Putin became personally involved in the covert Russian campaign to interfere in the U.S. presidential election, senior U.S. intelligence officials told NBC News.”

“So here’s Strzok Smirk, and they’re looking at this, and they see this. They know they didn’t put that out there, and figured it had to come from their ‘sisters’ at The Agency,” said Limbaugh. He then quoted again from the report on the false claim:

“Two senior officials with direct access to the information say new intelligence shows that Putin personally directed how hacked material from Democrats was leaked and otherwise used. The intelligence came from diplomatic sources and spies working for U.S. allies, the officials said.”

“That’s all from an NBC story December 14th, 2016, and it syncs right up with Strzok Smirk’s texts,” he said. Rush then “flash-forwarded” to today, with a new poll finding that 55% of Democrats believe that Trump is a traitor. “There it is! If that’s all the kind of garbage these people, these Democrats have been consuming for two years, what do you think they’re gonna think?” Rush exclaimed.

“Folks, there has to be a price paid by the people who have done this,” he said. “I mean, this is a flat-out lie. Somebody literally made this up, or they got scammed by some agents in Russia who are running a scam on Brennan and they knew what Brennan wanted to hear, so they told him.”

Politico: Self-deportation turns out to be real after all

It may have backfired as a political argument, but self-deportation might be the new reality anyway. Politico reports today that “voluntary departures” of illegal immigrants have soared during Donald Trump’s presidency, although the “voluntary” nature of those decisions might be debatable. Scaled-up enforcement and get-tough policies have incentivized people to give up and go home:

The number of immigrants who have applied for voluntary departure has soared since the election of Donald Trump, according to new Justice Department data obtained by The Marshall Project. In fiscal year 2018, the number of applications doubled from the previous fiscal year—rising much faster than the 17 percent increase in overall immigration cases, according to data from the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse at Syracuse University. The numbers show yet another way the Trump administration’s crackdown on immigration is having an effect: More people are considering leaving the U.S., rather than being stuck in detention or taking on a lengthy legal battle with little hope of success.

Last year, voluntary departure applications reached a seven-year high of 29,818. In the Atlanta court, which hears cases of Irwin detainees like Zamarrón, the applications multiplied nearly seven times from 2016 to 2018.

The increase in applications for voluntary departure could be seen as a win for the Trump administration, which has made it a goal to get undocumented immigrants out of the country and reduce the backlog of immigration cases. Indeed, the Justice Department has published the growing number of voluntary departures alongside deportations as a sign of a “return to the rule of law” and that Trump’s approach is working. It’s also a sign of how broad immigration enforcement has become, sweeping up the criminals Trump talks about alongside parents like Zamarrón who have little to no criminal history—voluntary departure is only open to immigrants without a serious record. When Mitt Romney once shared his plan to have people “self-deport,” he meant it as an alternative to ramping up Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s power. But the recent spike in voluntary departure has come with an increase in both arrests and detention.

That’s not entirely true. Romney proposed tough border policies in 2012, followed by a plan to crack down on ID fraud and illegal employment. The result of tougher enforcement, Romney argued, would push illegal immigrants to leave on their own rather than fight the system in court. Romney didn’t envision this level of crackdown, especially in ICE’s aggressive posture with those who have no other criminal record, which is why his “self-deportation” idea prompted derision from both sides of the aisle. It’s not accurate to characterize Romney’s plan as not increasing ICE’s enforcement power to some degree.

For Romney, it was more a matter of applying the correct incentives and letting those dictate choices. In some ways, Trump is leveraging similar incentives, albeit more aggressively. The one incentive that was key to the strategies of both is the fact that voluntary departures makes it easier to re-enter legally:

Under immigration law, voluntary departure is considered a kind of privilege. If you are deported, you have to wait years to apply for a visa to reenter the United States, but those who leave voluntarily don’t have the same wait. And you don’t face serious prison time if you are caught without legal status in the U.S.

That’s why a federal judge has to approve voluntary departures, a point the Politico article notes as well. Requests for such grants spiked upward by 50% in Trump’s first year as president, and that trend may well continue until Congress gets serious about immigration reform. The White House is trying to get Republicans on board another reform effort, even though the poisonous atmosphere in Washington these days makes any risk taken for immigration reform almost certainly futile:

The White House is renewing a contentious battle over legal immigration, looking beyond toughened enforcement policies and President Trump’s push for a border wall to dive into the thorny issue of how many — and what kind of — immigrants should be admitted into the United States.

Trump met privately with a dozen GOP senators on Tuesday as the administration — led primarily by Jared Kushner, the president’s son-in-law and senior adviser — drafts a proposal to transform the existing system into one that prioritizes immigrants based on their ability to immediately contribute to the economy.

But with little support among Democrats for such a dramatic overhaul, few expect any substantial changes this year to the current laws granting green cards — leaving the effort as primarily a political document that Trump and Republicans can rally behind.

“The White House has already said we’re moving in the direction of trying to make a proposal about something the president can be for on immigration,” Sen. David Perdue (R-Ga.) said. “The perception is he’s against this, or we’re against that. And that’s not the truth.”

Under normal circumstances, an off-year with a divided Congress would allow room for a compromise on major agenda items. Thanks to the decision to continue the Mueller wars, no one’s interested in finding common ground. Both sides are more invested in delegitimizing the other than ever. Anyone who sticks his or her neck out on concessions for immigration reform — always a fraught enterprise anyway — needs to have the head on the end of that neck examined.

If self-deportation is working, as Politico’s report suggests, Republicans have even less incentive to talk. At some point the get-tough policies will see diminishing returns, of course; those who have the means to leave go first, and at some point that population will run dry and leave the more destitute stuck in the system. That day may be far enough out to keep the stasis on immigration reform in place until well after the election.

Google ‘Accidentally’ Labels Claremont Institute a ‘Racially or Ethnically Motivated Publication’

Google prevented the conservative Claremont Institute from using Google ads to promote its 40th-anniversary gala after the think tank’s president penned an article for its publication, the American Mind, criticizing multiculturalism, only reversing the decision following backlash from conservatives.

In his op-ed, Claremont Institute president Ryan P. Williams wrote that multiculturalism poses “an existential threat to the American political order” due to its rejection of the principle of assimilation and shared culture.

“The modern multiculturalist Left is intent on proliferating divisions without concern for American unity, cohesion, and stability” wrote Williams, who used his column to highlight the destabilizing impact that multiculturalism is having on education, business, politics, and other areas of American society.

Following the publication of the article, Google refused to let the Claremont Institute use its ad services to promote its upcoming 40th-anniversary gala.

Following backlash from conservative media organizations and social media influencers, Google’s acting director of political outreach contacted the Claremont Institute to inform it that the decision to suspend ad services to the think tank was a mistake and had been reversed.

According to the Federalist, the Claremont Institute had mistakenly been labeled a “racially or ethnically motivated publication” by Google, which prevented it from purchasing ads. This label has since been removed.

It’s not the first “mistake” that has led a big tech platform to suppress conservatives or deny them service. In March, Facebook “mistakenly” categorized Trump social media director Dan Scavino as a bot.

“It’s always an “accident!’” wrote the president’s son, Donald Trump Jr. at the time, who has become a vocal critic of big tech. “The accidents are always only one way and happen so frequently that unless the people designing the algorithms are total incompetents it’s pure and simple bias.”

Other acts of censorship by big tech companies explained away as “accidents” include Google-owned YouTube’s now-reversed ban on conservative star Hunter Avallone, and Facebook’s now-reversed ban of former Breitbart London editor-in-chief Raheem Kassam.

Despite its claim that the suspension of service to the Claremont Institute was an accident, exclusive reports by Breitbart News have confirmed that Google is under constant internal pressure to deny ad service to conservative organizations and individuals.

CNN contributor: “When a woman gets pregnant, that is not a human being inside of her”

“Babies aren’t human.” Who could resist an abortion pitch as winning as that?

“The combination of scientific ignorance and *literal* dehumanization on display here is really something,” Seth Mandel marvels about the clip below, which involves Christine Quinn restating basic, basic left-wing orthodoxy on this subject. It’s so basic, in fact, that I came away wondering how CNN arrived at this segment. The news hook is the “heartbeat bills” being signed into law in red states but it feels like the sort of thing a network booker might resort to on a particularly slow news day, news hook or not. Need to fill 10 minutes of airtime? Get Rick Santorum and Christine Quinn to have a barroom brawl over whether it’s right to kill infants in the womb.

George Will wrote recently about the “heartbeat bills,” correctly identifying why the left finds them objectionable: They focus on an element of physiology that’s understood universally as a sign of life.

The “heartbeat bills” are wholesome provocations: One of their aims is to provoke thinking about the moral dimension of extinguishing a being with a visibly beating heart

The changed composition of the Supreme Court, and the supposed imminent danger that Roe will be overturned, is the excuse that pro-abortion extremists have seized upon to do what they want to do anyway: to normalize extreme abortion practices expressive of the belief that never does fetal life have more moral significance than a tumor in a mother’s stomach.

He wrote that last sentence a few days before Quinn’s conversation with Santorum, anticipating her argument. As others have noted, from Marco Rubio to Alexandra DeSanctis at NRO, a party that opposes any penalties for late-term abortion has no choice but to take this position. Once you agree to start drawing lines in which a fetus “progresses” towards humanity in the womb, whether “humanity” arrives at the point of viability or at the end of the first trimester or once a heartbeat can be detected or once it can feel pain, you invite regulation. To take the absolutist position which progressives favor, that pregnancy mustn’t be regulated at any stage, you have no choice but to dehumanize the infant utterly until it leaves the womb. “Birth does not magically confer humanity,” says DeSanctis in her piece about this today, but i’s not an exaggeration to say that that’s precisely the mainstream left-wing position on this in 2019. Birth, and nothing else, confers humanity. Unless and until that happens, mom gets to do whatever she wants to her “tumor.” Whenever she wants.

WATCH: Democrat State Rep. Who Harassed Pro-Life Women And Girls Posts ‘Apology’ Video — Sort Of

On Tuesday afternoon, Democrat State Representative Brian Sims posted a video on social media addressing his actions over the weekend, which included harassment of an elderly pro-life woman and attempting to dox three teenage girls for praying outside a Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in his district. After Sims maligns pro-life protesters and sidewalk counselors as “racist” bigots in what is apparently an apology video, he vows to “do better.” Though the Democrat is profusely apologetic to Planned Parenthood, there are notably no apologies offered to the women and girls he harassed over the weekend.

“I will fiercely protect a woman’s right to make the best choices for her health & her body, unimpeded. I also know that two wrongs don’t make a right, especially on the front lines of a civil rights battle. I can do better, and I will do better, for the women of Pennsylvania,” Sims captioned the video.

“As a Planned Parenthood volunteer and as a supporter, I fully understand, respect, and appreciate the non-engagement policy that they have,” the elected official says, as transcribed by Hotair. “And I would never want to do anything that interfered with the care that they are providing to their patients. As an activist and an advocate I know why pushing back against harassment and discrimination are a must even when they’re uncomfortable but last week I wasn’t a patient escort. I was a neighbor and a concerned citizen and I was aggressive.”

“I know that two wrongs don’t make a right and I can do better and I will do better for the men and women of Pennsylvania,” adds Sims.

Sims made waves on Saturday when he live-streamed himself harassing an elderly pro-life sidewalk counselor for over seven minutes. “Shame on you! Shame on you!” the Democrat screams at the woman, who is remaining silent as she’s being taped. “What you’re doing out here is disgusting. You have no business being out here! … An old white lady telling people what’s right to do with their bodies. Shame on you. Shame! Shame!”

Video later emerged of Sims threatening to dox three teenage girls who were praying outside the abortion clinic. “What we’ve got here is a bunch of protesters, a bunch of pseudo-Christian protesters who’ve been out here shaming young girls for being here,” yells Sims. “So here’s the deal, I’ve got a $100 for anyone who will identify any of these three.”

Responding to reports on his behavior Sims wrote: “Bring it, Bible Bullies! You are bigots, sexists, and misogynists and I see right through your fake morals and your broken values. #BeReal.”

The Democrat’s non-apology comes in the wake of prominent pro-lifers banding together for a rally scheduled on Friday in the same space Sims harassed peaceful pro-life women and girls.

NPR Host: Instill Fear By Saying Climate Change Will Cause Human Extinction: ‘Everyone You Love Will Die!’

The public isn’t alarmed enough about climate change to satisfy NPR talk show host Joshua Johnson, so he suggested on Tuesday morning that, in order to induce fear that will lead to public demands for action, scientists say the human race is in danger of becoming extinct. Johnson noted studies about other calamities, but hasn’t yet heard a scientific report “that says if we don’t do something about this, you and your children…and everyone you love will die!”

WAYNE ALLYN ROOT: Is President Trump “the G.O.A.T.?”

By Wayne Allyn Root

I don’t mean to say, “I told you so.” But, I told you so.

In almost every column, I celebrate Donald J. Trump and his economic genius. I believe Trump is the greatest economic president in modern American history. Maybe the greatest ever.

Or as the younger generation calls it, “GOAT.” (the Greatest of All-Time).

I don’t ask you to love his tweets. Or personal attacks. Or every sentence of every Trump speech or interview. Who cares? Let Trump be Trump. Words don’t affect your day to day life. What matters is action. And Trump is a man of action.

Trump’s words may offend, or irritate, or shock. That’s just his way. And mine too. We’re both from the streets of New York. We both believe in telling the raw truth- no matter who it offends. We both believe an aggressive, in-your-face offense is the best defense. On the mean streets of New York, that’s how you win a street fight. That’s how you stay alive.

But what matters is the economy. Your pocketbook. Food on your table. Enough money to take great care of your family. Enough money for a new car or home. Enough money for a nice vacation. That’s what most Americans care about. Not a Trump tweet.

The questions that matter above all else, “Are you doing better today than under Obama? Is your life improved? Is your job more secure? Are you more optimistic for the future?” If the answer for each of those questions is “YES,” Trump wins by an electoral landslide in 2020.

Well, don’t look now, but it’s happening exactly as I predicted. Back in early October of 2016, a month before the presidential election that Hillary was expected to win handedly, I gave a speech at “The Money Show” in Dallas. It was recorded, by the way.

I predicted a Trump upset victory. But more importantly, I predicted Trump’s presidency would produce the greatest economic boom since Reagan. I predicted a jobs boom. A rebirth of high-paying manufacturing jobs. Economic growth of 3% or higher. I predicted one of the great stock market booms in history. I advised buying energy and manufacturing stocks. I predicted America under Trump would become the energy capital of the world. And I predicted Trump’s tax cuts and regulation slashing would produce “the Trump golden age of prosperity.”

It all came true.

Sure enough, even ultra-liberal CNN now agrees. This past Thursday CNN announced Trump’s economic approval rating has soared to an all-time high. CNN’s political director David Chalian said, “Here is the Trump card for the president…56% of Americans approve how he’s handling the economy. This is the highest number we’ve ever seen in CNN polling…”

At the same time, Gallop reported 56% of Americans rate their economic health as excellent or good. Only 15% rate it as poor. Where I come from 56% to 15% is a landslide.

This was all before the Labor Department reported on Friday 263,000 new jobs were created in April, far above expectations. Unemployment hit 3.6%, the lowest since 1969. Can you even remember 1969? I can’t either.

Even better news: Unemployment for women dropped to the lowest since 1953. And Hispanic unemployment dropped to the lowest in history. I can’t wait for Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer and Alexandria Ocasio Cortez to explain why this is a bad thing.

Trust me, Trump just guaranteed himself the largest share of the Hispanic vote for any Republican in history.

At the same time, the Fed announced despite fast economic growth and fast job growth, there is little to no inflation. Trump has produced “the Goldilocks economy.” It’s not too small, not too big, not too fast, not too slow. It’s just right.

Trump may actually be the G.O.A.T. (the greatest of all-time).
