Ted Cruz Sounds the Alarm: Deep State Staffers at Treasury and State Working Behind Trump’s Back to Preserve Obama’s Iran Nuke Deal

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) sounded the alarm on Wednesday and said that staffers at the Treasury and State Departments are tirelessly working behind President Trump’s back to preserve Obama’s Iran nuke deal.

Ted Cruz accused many senior Trump administration officials of continuing to give Tehran waivers allowing the terrorist-supporting regime to conduct nuclear tests at a military bunker that holds Iran’s nuclear weapons program.

Cruz said “Deep State” in the Treasury and State who are giving these waivers are undermining President Trump.

“If these reports are indeed accurate, then it is a temporary victory for the deep state staffers at Treasury and State who continue working tirelessly to preserve the Obama Iran deal rather than implementing the president’s directive,” Cruz said. “I will continue to work towards permanently ending the nuclear deal, including by exercising Congress’s important oversight responsibility to ensure the implementation of United States policy.”

“I hope these reports turn out to be wrong,” Cruz said. “The president has correctly ordered his administration to halt implementation of the catastrophic Obama-Iran nuclear deal. These waivers are part of the deal, and allow the Ayatollahs to build up their nuclear program, including at Fordow, a bunker they dug into the side of a mountain so they could build nuclear weapons.”

Ted Cruz and other Iran hawks in Congress have been pressuring the State Department to end the waivers for several months, reported Adam Kredo.

The waivers are allowing Iran to continue business as usual marching forward to develop a fully functioning nuclear weapon.

Obama’s former Secretary of State and architect of the Iran nuke deal John Kerry has also been engaging in shadow diplomacy with Iran.

In May of 2018 it was reported by the Boston Globe that John Kerry had been secretly meeting with foreign officials to salvage Iran’s nuclear weapons program.

On May 8th, 2018, President Trump announced he was set to withdraw from Obama’s Iran nuke deal calling it one of the worst deals he’s ever witnessed.

Leading up to Trump’s announcement, John Kerry, the architect of the Iran nuke deal, was reportedly behind the scenes on a “stealthy yet aggressive mission” of shadow diplomacy, desperately trying to preserve his pact by meeting with Iranian official, Javad Zarif.

Iran is becoming increasingly defiant and recently announced it will be once again breaching a limit set on uranium enrichment.

RNC’s McDaniel: Democrats Revealed ‘a Total Socialist Plan,’ ‘Takeover of All of Our Health Care’

Tuesday after the Democratic presidential debate that aired on CNN, Republican National Committee chairwoman Ronna McDaniel commented on the policy proposals the candidates put forth on health care.

McDaniel said those Democrats revealed a “total socialist plan” on health care with the Medicare for all and that Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Elizabeth Warren’s (D-MA) plans would take away health care some already have.

“What you did see from the Democrats tonight is a total socialist plan, a takeover of all of our health care with this proposal for Medicare for all,” she said. “They didn’t know how to pay for it. They were dishonest about the fact that it would raise taxes on every single American. And Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren said flat out they will take away private health insurance plans, and I don’t think that is something people in Michigan would like. In fact, it’s been polled in Michigan. It is not something that is popular, and I think a lot of union workers would say, ‘Hey, you’re going to take away my plan that I negotiated? You’re going to take me off of my plan where I can choose my doctor and what is best for me and my family?’ I don’t think that is going to fly.”

Report: Facebook Wants to Read Your Brain

According to a recent report, Facebook has become one step closer to developing a working brain-computer interface, capable of reading users’ thoughts.

CNBC reports that Facebook has taken another step in developing its brain-computer interface, with the company’s Reality Labs division working alongside researchers from the University of California, San Francisco to develop a device that can decode speech directly from the human brain onto a screen. A new report published in the journal Nature Communications reveals that researchers are becoming closer than ever to connecting human brains directly to computers.

Researchers reportedly worked with three patients currently undergoing treatment for epilepsy in order to develop the device. The patients had electrodes implanted into their brains and researchers will spend the next year testing the technology. Researchers from UCSF stated that the findings of the research could help to give patients that are unable to speak due to severe brain injuries a new way to communicate.

But, researchers noted that successful trials are more likely to be used as part of Facebook’s efforts to develop augmented reality glasses. ” Andrew “Boz” Bosworth, Facebook vice president of AR/VR, said in a tweet: “Today we’re sharing an update on our work to build a non-invasive wearable device that lets people type just by imagining what they want to say. Our progress shows real potential in how future inputs and interactions with AR glasses could one day look.”

The technology is not quite ready for widespread usage. “It’s currently bulky, slow, and unreliable,” Facebook said. “But the potential is significant, so we believe it’s worthwhile to keep improving this state-of-the-art technology over time.” Many other Silicon Valley companies are also researching computer-brain interfaces, with Elon Musk’s firm Neuralink working on a similar project.

Musk claimed at a recent event that the company expects to start human trials before the end of 2020.

JUST IN: Trump Directs Secretary of the Navy to Rescind Navy Achievement Medals Given to Overzealous Prosecutors in Eddie Gallagher Case

President Trump on Wednesday directed the Secretary of the Navy to immediately withdraw and rescind Navy Achievement Medals given to the overzealous, unethical Obama-era prosecutors who targeted decorated Navy SEAL Eddie Gallagher.

“The Prosecutors who lost the case against SEAL Eddie Gallagher (who I released from solitary confinement so he could fight his case properly), were ridiculously given a Navy Achievement Medal. Not only did they lose the case, they had difficulty with respect to information that may have been obtained from opposing lawyers and for giving immunity in a totally incompetent fashion. I have directed the Secretary of the Navy Richard Spencer & Chief of Naval Operations John Richardson to immediately withdraw and rescind the awards,” Trump said.

“I am very happy for Eddie Gallagher and his family!” Trump added in a third tweet.

US Navy prosecutors accused decorated US Navy SEAL Eddie Gallagher of premeditated murder over the stabbing of an injured 15-year-old ISIS terrorist in Mosul, Iraq in May of 2017.

Gallagher denied the charges and the entire case was turned upside down in June when a combat medic testified that he, not Eddie Gallagher killed the ISIS fighter.

Special Operator 1st Class Corey Scott, a SEAL Team Seven medic, testified to shocked trial observers in a Naval Base courtroom in San Diego, California that he killed the ISIS fighter by asphyxiation.

And a jury earlier this month found Navy SEAL Eddie Gallagher not guilty of war crimes.

Even though Gallagher was cleared of murder charges, the jury sentenced him to reduced rank and partial pay because he took a photo with a dead ISIS terrorist.

Eddie Gallagher has served 19 years in the US Navy, 8 tours, 6 of which as an elite special forces operator — he was ranked as the top SEAL chief and his platoon ranked as the top SEAL platoon.

In addition to pulling the Navy medals from the prosecutors, President Trump should promote Eddie Gallagher back to his previous position.

Ratings for last night’s Democratic debate were down sharply compared to the one last month

The first round of Democratic debates last month set a viewership record. The first night of those debates was watched by 15.3 million people and the second night by 18.1 million viewers. At the time, DNC Chairman Tom Perez was thrilled with the outcome, pointing out that in addition to TV viewership nearly 9 million people watched the first debate via live stream. Last night’s debate was a different story. NBC reports the viewership for last night was a little more than half of the first debate, while livestream viewing was about a third as much:

Night 1 of CNN’s Democratic presidential debate on Tuesday attracted 8.7 million viewers, according to the cable network, a significant decline in ratings from the first debate of the 2020 election cycle.

The network also recorded 2.8 million starts for its livestream from the historic Fox Theatre in Detroit…

The broadcast Tuesday featured 10 Democratic candidates for president including Sens. Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders, and was the second-most watched Democratic debate in CNN’s history, illustrating continued public interest well ahead of the 2020 election.

Maybe those are good numbers for CNN but clearly down quite a bit from what we saw last month (8.7 million vs. 15.3 million). The Hill points out that last night’s debate was up against the finale of “The Bachelorette.” I’ve never watched a second of that show but I bet it’s more entertaining than listening to Elizabeth Warren.

Still, there is reason to think viewership will be higher tonight. For one thing, less competition. For another, that’s what happened last time. And finally, it’s worth noting that tonight’s debate and the 2nd debate last month (the one that set the record ratings) both have one thing in common: Joe Biden.

Last night’s debate featured Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren and a cast of backbenchers. Tonight will feature the Dems’ leading candidate plus a possible rematch with Kamala Harris who surged in the polls after sandbagging Biden during the last debate. So tonight has the big draw plus the big drama.

It’ll be interesting to see just how much higher the viewership is tonight. If it’s just a little higher then that may be a sign people are growing tired of all the candidates. On the other hand, if the viewership is substantially higher tonight, maybe even close to last month’s levels, that might suggest they’re really focused on wherever Joe Biden is and not as interested in everyone else. I’d take a big surge tonight as a clear sign it’s time to winnow the field.
