Pro-Lifers Should Get Same Access to Schools as Planned Parenthood Does

Many of the political and cultural trends that are anathema to traditional values or free-market conservatism in society today can be traced back to a lack of education, poor education, or education rooted in progressive bias.

One college group, Students for Life of America, is attempting to do its part in upending that cycle.

Students for Life has requested access to Los Angeles public schools to counteract the rhetoric and statistics students learn about abortion rights through behemoth organizations such as Planned Parenthood.

It’s about time.

Students for Life is trying to get in touch with nearly 30 high schools in the Los Angeles Unified School District, not to try to squelch any pro-abortion rhetoric but to get equal access to tell young people about pro-life values with the same earnestness and verve.

In December, Planned Parenthood announced it would open so-called “Well-Being Centers” in Los Angeles area high schools, a prime location and a malleable time in an adolescent’s life to be manipulated by pro-abortion rhetoric.

The Washington Post reported that the centers will provide a “full range of birth-control options, testing and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases, and pregnancy counseling.”

California’s expansive anti-parental rights laws ensure students can visit these pro-abortion clinics without their parents’ knowledge or consent, making Planned Parenthood’s message that much more persuasive.

Students for Life plans on offering these centers “life-affirming, local resources for pregnant and parenting students.”

Brooke Karmie, Pacific Southwest regional coordinator with Students for Life of America, is the liaison contacting each school individually to acquire access.

“Empowering students by providing resources that will meet their needs, while also helping them achieve their goals should be a common foundation for all educational institutions,” Karmie said in a recent written statement.

“Students for Life filed a [Freedom of Information Act] request to see which schools would go first, and we are asking the principals of those schools … to allow us to balance out the messaging,” spokeswoman Kristi Hamrick said.

“And here is a key difference, [Students for Life] won’t make money off our conversations, but will offer resources and support,” Hamrick said. “But Planned Parenthood will both make money and market their abortion business. Conflict of interest?”

I’ve always been confounded by the no-holds-barred infiltration of
secularism, anti-God, anti-free market, and anti-life values the public school
system has maintained with hardly any competition since the 1960s.

Such an approach not only has fast-tracked an idyllic view of far-left political ideology, such as socialism, but also of controversial topics that pose bioethics issues, such as abortion, evolution, or LGBT issues, and topics that typically would look much different when viewed from a religious worldview rather than when presented to students only through the lens of a godless, leftist scope.

Although Student for Life’s efforts to access schools no doubt will prove to be controversial, and I assume Planned Parenthood will do its best to prevent it, equal access in education is a concept that should please most progressives.

If schools were still rooted in religion, as universities such as Harvard were when this country began, liberals would be clamoring today for equal access (if not more).

The concept of offering young adults equal access to pro-life and pro-choice or pro-abortion materials not only has potential to aid women and men in understanding the importance of promoting a culture of life in all its stages.

It’s also a way of communicating that promotes critical-thinking skills: Planned Parenthood says life begins at birth and suggests abortion, whereas Students for Life says life begins at conception and suggests adoption or raising the baby with help.

With more access to accurate information, including offers of much-needed aid, students might just embrace a culture of life and pro-life values more than society—and especially progressives—realize.

Trump Taps Mark Meadows, Conservative Stalwart, to be Next Chief of Staff

A conservative congressman known for his anti-establishment approach will be President Donald Trump’s new chief of staff.

Trump announced Friday he had picked Rep. Mark Meadows, R-N.C., tweeting, “I have long known and worked with Mark, and the relationship is a very good one.”

Meadows will replace Mick Mulvaney, who has been acting
chief of staff since January 2019. Mulvaney, a former congressman, was also the
director for the Office of Management and Budget. He will now become the
special envoy to Northern Ireland.

Meadows, who was first elected to Congress in 2012, was a co-founder in 2015 of the House Freedom Caucus, a group of a few dozen conservative lawmakers who had a notable impact on policy when Republicans controlled the House.  In 2016, Meadows became the second chairman of the House Freedom Caucus, succeeding Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio.

Meadows played an instrumental role in former House Speaker John Boehner’s decision to resign. In 2015, shortly after he filed a motion to vacate the chair, a rarely-used maneuver that could have resulted in a vote that ousted Boehner, the North Carolina congressman told The Daily Signal, “It is a critical time for our leadership to listen to the American people.”

““It’s very easy to say you are willing to pay
any cost. It’s a very different thing to actually be willing to go through and
lay it all on the line. … I am willing to stand up and say this is what the
people back home want, this is what they’re asking for, even if it makes it
difficult on me in Washington D.C,” he also said.

After Boehner stepped down in September of 2015, Meadows told The Daily Signal, “If this is the first step in allowing Capitol Hill and Washington, D.C., to listen to the American people, [then] we can look at this as a giant step forward.”

Meadows’ GOP House colleagues, including current House Freedom Caucus chairman Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., and Republican Study Committee chairman Rep. Mike Johnson, R-La., celebrated the news of his new role on Twitter:

Conway also praised Meadows:

Heritage Foundation President Kay C. James praised Meadows as “a strong leader, principled conservative, and excellent choice to serve as President Donald Trump’s chief of staff.”

“In
this new role at the White House, he will be in a position to advance the
president’s agenda and promote conservative policy ideas,” James said in a
statement, adding:

Throughout his tenure in the House, Congressman Meadows represented his district honorably and became one of the most visible conservative lawmakers on Capitol Hill. His leadership of the House Freedom Caucus elevated conservative ideas and defenders of liberty.

Meadows will be Trump’s fourth chief of staff. In addition to Mulvaney, Reince Priebus, former chairman of the Republican National Committee, and John Kelly, a retired general and former Secretary of Homeland Security, also served as chiefs of staff for Trump.

Democrats might prefer that their presidential hopeful front-runner be hidden away somewhere until the general election, given that the more he talks the more it’s impossible to ignore what’s clearly not just the usual gaffes and Bidenisms, but which actually raise questions of cognitive capacities and potential senility.

While campaigning Saturday in Missouri, he continued to slur and at moments was barely intelligible — at one point mispronouncing his own name.

He urged people to elect him president because he is a “lifelong Democrat,” an “Obiden Bama Democrat”.

But in an even more awkward moment, he confusedly called for the reelection of Donald Trump in front of bewildered supporters.

"…We cannot get re-elected, we cannot win this re-election, excuse me. We can only re-elect Donald Trump," Biden said.

He appeared momentarily surprised and frustrated by his own inability to get the right words out.

This follows on the heels of another spectacular fail resulting in a viral clip where the former vice president forgot the wording of the Declaration of Independence.

"We hold these truths to be self-evident," Biden had said at a campaign event in Texas on Monday. "All men and women created by — you know, you know, the thing."

No doubt, the Trump campaign will focus on his possible developing dementia and age as we get closer to the general election.

He elsewhere referred to Super Tuesday as "Super Thursday" before correcting himself.

Despite the mainstream media for months refusing to take seriously what for many even among Democrats on social media is becoming cause for pressing concern, it’s now slowly seeping into the big networks as it’s becoming impossible to ignore.

Another one: Leftist cheers coronavirus as a means of getting rid of elderly climate skeptics

Less than a week after Denver city councilwoman Candi CdeBaca touted spreading coronavirus at Trump rallies to kill them all off, another leftist has stepped up to the plate, calling for the spread of coronavirus to kill off old people, who are statistically more likely to be climate skeptics.

According to Marc Morano’s Climate Depot, citing a Liberty Sentinel staff report:

In a column headlined “Coronavirus can trigger a new industrial revolution,” writer Ed Conway sounds positively ghoulish.

“Don’t take this the wrong way but if you were a young, hardline environmentalist looking for the ultimate weapon against climate change, you could hardly design anything better than coronavirus,” the sicko wrote.

“Unlike most other such diseases, it kills mostly the old who, let’s face it, are more likely to be climate sceptics,” he added.

Conway also touted the economy being on lock down, which he said would reduce the amount of “greenhouse gases” released into the atmosphere.
Of course, human emissions of CO2 make up just a fraction of 1 percent of all the “greenhouse gases” present naturally in the atmosphere.
Conway is an “Economics Editor” for Sky News, a British broadcaster owned by Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp., the owner of Fox News and the Wall Street Journal. The parent company is a corporate member of the subversive globalist group known as the Council on Foreign Relations.

We haven’t seen any bloodthirstiness about spreading disease to the left, coming from the right. But now we have repeated instances of leftists openly lobbying for killing off their political rivals, in a bloodthirst unseen in American history. They seem to fantasize about it all the time.They’re thinking about literally trying to kill us.

NC Man Who Schooled City Council Gun Controllers Wins Lt. Gov. Primary

Mark Robinson, the man who schooled Greensboro City Council members in April 2018, won the Republican nomination Tuesday to run for North Carolina Lt. Governor.

On April 5, 2018, Breitbart News reported Robinson’s speech to the city council, wherein he made clear that the citizens were “going to keep [their rights], come hell or high water.”

The council was considering gun controls, including new restrictions on gun shows and certain firearms, just months after the February 14, 2018, Parkland high school shooting.

Robinson told them:

[Law-abiding citizens] want to be able to go the gun show and buy a hunting rifle or a sport rifle. They aren’t military grade weapons sold at a gun show. An AR-15 is not a military grade weapon. Anybody that would go into combat with an AR-15 is full, it’s a semi-automatic .22 rifle. You’d be killed in 15 minutes in combat with that thing.

Fox News reports that Robinson won the Republican nomination Tuesday to run for Lt. Governor.

Robinson plans to defend the Second Amendment, but he stresses there are other important issues, too. “Our message is so much more than the Second Amendment, which is a crucial issue. It’s a message that touches on all the topics conservative North Carolinians are concerned with today,” Robinson said.

Watch FedEx Driver Deliver Family’s Lost Golden Retriever to Their Door

A FedEx driver from Colorado is being praised for helping a wandering family pet find her way back home by personally delivering the dog to her Castle Pines home.

Dog owner Lisa Menzies told KDVR-TV that her family’s 3-year-old golden retriever, Catcher, had a bit of an adventure while she and her husband were out of town.

“We were getting some repairs done on the house,” Menzies said.

“Our contractor left to go to lunch and shut the front door — and the wind blew the door open while I was gone, and Catcher escaped.”

The dog wandered around outside in the neighborhood where Menzies knows anything could have happened.

“She could have wandered out to a busy road and you hate to think what’s going to happen then,” she said.

But Catcher was fortunate to fall into the hands of the neighborhood FedEx driver, who took it upon himself to make a special 61-pound delivery to the family’s home.

Menzies received a message from the driver, who she does not know at all other than that he works for FedEx.

The driver explained that he had found a dog and was planning to drop her off at the address printed on her dog tag.

The family’s Ring doorbell captured the heartwarming moment when the driver carried the large dog “with such care” up the walkway and into the house.

“Seeing him carry her into the house like that — in my head, I was thinking of the theme song from the ‘Titanic,’” Menzies said. “He was taking such care and love with her that it was really amusing.”

Catcher is now safe and sound, right where she belongs, thanks to the loving act of kindness of a driver who was in the middle of a busy workweek.

“He interrupted his day and his package delivery schedule to pick her up and hand carry her into our home and lock the door behind him,” Menzies said.

“I don’t want to think about where else she could have ended up. He is certainly our family’s hero.”

Menzies is eager to thank the driver in person, and Catcher may be eager to reunite with her new best friend, who inconvenienced himself to do the right thing.

Rep. Ken Buck to Biden and O’Rourke: You Want My AR? ‘Come and Take It’

Rep. Ken Buck (R-CO) responded on Friday to Joe Biden and Robert “Beto” O’Rourke’s gun control partnership by signaling they will have to “come and take it” if they want his AR-15.

Buck posted a video, addressed to Biden and O’Rourke, saying, “If you want to take everyone’s AR-15 in America, why don’t you swing by my office in Washington, DC, and start with this one?” He then turned and removed an AR-15 from his office wall and stated, “Come and take it”:

O’Rourke responded to the video by suggesting Buck “makes the case for both an assault weapons ban and a mandatory buyback program,” the two key gun control components of O’Rourke’s failed presidential campaign.

On May 4, 2018, Breitbart News reported that President Trump used his speech at the NRA convention to recount the Battle of Gonzales, Texas, where the battle cry “Come and Take It” was born.

Trump said:

In 1835, soldiers from General Santa Anna’s army marched into the little Texas town of Gonzales and ordered those Texans to surrender their small cannon that they relied on to protect their lives and protect their homes. The Texans refused! They were not about to give up their only means of self-defense.

He continued:

In response, Santa Anna’s army returned with a large group of additional people. They had men all over the place … [but] this time, they were met by dozens of Texans … who had rushed to Gonzales to defend their rights and their freedom. As Santa Anna’s men watched from a distance, those brave Texans raised a flag for all to see. On the banner, they painted a cannon along with four words that echoed through the ages. It said, “Come and Take It.”

The crowd broke into deafening applause, then broke into a chant of “USA! USA! USA!”

Senate GOP Investigation into Burisma-Biden Heats Up with Subpoena Planned Next Week

Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Chairman Ron Johnson (R-WI) has scheduled a vote for the committee next Wednesday to subpoena a former Ukrainian politician Andrii Telizhenko, who may shed insight into Hunter Biden’s potential role in trying to help Ukrainian natural gas firm Burisma Holdings evade corruption charges.

The meeting to consider a motion to subpoena Telizhenko is scheduled for March 11 at 2:30 p.m., according to a public posting on the committee’s website. The motion will likely pass, with a majority of Republicans on the committee.

Telizhenko was a former Ukrainian diplomat. He worked at Ukraine’s embassy in Washington, DC, between December 2015 and June 2016, as the U.S. presidential campaign was underway, according to the Daily Beast.

Telizhenko has claimed that former Ukrainian Embassy Deputy Chief of Mission Oksana Shulyar worked with former Democratic National Committee (DNC) consultant Alexandra Chalupa, a Ukrainian-American, to help the Hillary Clinton campaign investigate then-Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort.

He told Politico in a January 2017 article that Shulyar instructed him to help Chalupa research connections between Trump, Manafort, and Russia.

“Oksana said that if I had any information, or knew other people who did, then I should contact Chalupa,” he said. “They were coordinating an investigation with the Hillary team on Paul Manafort with Alexandra Chalupa.”

He added, “Oksana was keeping it all quiet [but] the embassy worked very closely with” Chalupa. And other “sources familiar with the effort” told Politico that Shulyar called Telizhenko into a meeting with Chalupa to provide an update on an American media outlet’s ongoing investigation into Manafort.

He said Chalupa told him and Shulyar, “If we can get enough information on Paul [Manafort] or Trump’s involvement with Russia, she can get a hearing in Congress by September [2016].”

Chalupa confirmed to Politico that she had discussed the possibility of a congressional investigation with the office of Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D-OH), co-chair of the Congressional Ukrainian Caucus, but that it “didn’t go anywhere.”

Johnson’s subpoena to Telizhenko, however, is focused on his work as a consultant for Blue Star Strategies, a firm Burisma hired to fight allegations of corruption it was facing.

Burisma appointed Hunter Biden to its board in 2014, after his father became the point person in the Obama administration for Ukraine and as the firm’s CEO was facing allegations of corruption and money laundering. Despite having no relevant experience, he was receiving up to $83,000 a month.

After Biden’s appointment to the board, Burisma hired Blue Star Strategies to help them fight off the allegations of corruption and to lobby U.S. officials on its behalf. The New York Times reported in May 2019 that Hunter Biden was linked to Burisma’s hiring of Blue Star Strategies.

“Among the Americans brought in by Hunter Biden’s American business partners to help fend off the investigations was Blue Star Strategies, a consulting firm run by Clinton administration veterans that had done substantial work in Ukraine,” the report said.

Biden had links to one of Blue Star Strategies’ co-founders — Sally Painter, a former senior adviser for the Clinton administration.

He knew Painter from the Truman National Security Project, an organization for young national security experts on the left. Biden and Painter were both directors of the organization at the same time, according to the Washington Free Beacon. The other co-founder was Karen Tramontano, a former deputy chief of staff to President Clinton.

While Painter was working for Burisma, she moderated a panel at a Truman National Security Project event on June 24, 2016. Then-Deputy Secretary of State Tony Blinken had spoken earlier at that event. Three days later, she contacted Blinken’s then-aide William Russo, to schedule a meeting with Blinken and her Blue Star Strategies co-founder, Karen Tramontano, to discuss Ukraine, according to the Daily Caller.

Painter wrote to Russo, who currently serves as director of communications for Biden’s presidential campaign, “Per my conversation with Tony at the Truman event, Karen Tramontano and I would like to have a brief coffee with Tony at his earliest convenience regarding some troubling events we are seeing n [sic] Ukraine.”

“(He said yes),” she added, referring to Blinken, who currently serves as foreign policy advisor to Biden’s presidential campaign. “We are just back from Kiev.”

According to the Times, a team from Blue Star Strategies, including John Buretta, a lawyer who served as a senior official in the Obama Justice Department, had two meetings in Ukraine with its top prosecutor, Yuriy Lutsenko, in 2016. Lutsenko replaced Viktor Shokin, whom Joe Biden has stated publicly he pressured Ukraine to fire.

Lutsenko had taken a hard line against Burisma, but within 10 months of taking office, Burisma announced he and the Ukrainian courts had “fully closed” all “legal proceedings and pending criminal allegations” against Burisma’s CEO and his companies and that he had been removed by a Ukrainian court from “the wanted list,” according to the Times.

Sen. Johnson said in a March 1, 2020, letter to colleagues that he has received U.S. government records indicating that Blue Star Strategies sought to use Hunter Biden’s role as a board member of Burisma to “gain access to, and potentially influence matters at, the State Department.”

He said the committee has also requested and received documents from Blue Star Strategies and Telizhenko.

However, he said Telizhenko said he cannot turn over all relevant records unless he is compelled by a subpoena, since some of them are subject to a non-disclosure agreement in his employee contract and Blue Star Strategies has been unwilling to turn over the records, according to Johnson’s letter.

“Because Mr. Telizhenko’s records and information would be responsive to the Committee’s requests, and Blue Star [Strategies] has refused to produce them, a subpoena to Mr. Telizhenko for these records is appropriate at this time,” Johnson wrote.

Democrats have blasted the subpoena as an attempt to hurt Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election, although Johnson’s efforts were in the works weeks before he announced this week he would seek a subpoena. His committee’s investigation into Burisma has also been going on for nearly a year.

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) reportedly was considering voting against the motion, but CNN reported Friday that he would vote to pass the motion — likely ensuring its passage — after receiving assurances from Johnson that the investigation would not become a public spectacle.

Johnson also announced this week that he would likely issue an interim report within a month or two focused on what Joe Biden knew about his son Hunter Biden’s role at Burisma.

NY Times Doxxes James O’Keefe’s Wedding in Hit Piece on Erik Prince …Update

The far left New York Times published a hit piece on Erik Prince and James O’Keefe on Saturday morning.

In the article The New York Times reveals the founder of the security company Academi is recruiting former American and British spies for secretive intelligence-gathering operations on corrupt liberal organizations and campaigns.

The New York Times even identified former MI6 officer Richard Seddon as an operative for Erik Prince in an alleged operation in a Michigan office of the American Federation of Teachers, a far left teacher’s union.

In their article The New York Times released information on James O’Keefe’s upcoming wedding and mentions that Donald Trump Jr. is on the attendee list.
