Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) was one of the last women standing in the 2020 presidential race. But on Thursday she followed the lead of former competitors Sens. Kirsten Gillibrand (NY), Kamala Harris (CA), and Amy Klobuchar (MN), and bid farewell the contest.

She did her best to console MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow in a new sit down interview, but as you can see it was to no avail. The melodramatic host predicted that with Warren’s exit, there’s no chance she’ll ever see a woman president in her lifetime.

Social media giant Facebook has removed Trump campaign ads which refer to an online survey as the “Official 2020 Congressional District Census,” claiming the ads violate the company’s policy on disinformation and interference with the 2020 census.

The Wall Street Journal reports that social media giant Facebook has removed campaign ads from the Trump Make America Great Again Committee that referred to an online survey as a census. Facebook alleges that the ads violated a company policy designed to prevent the spread of disinformation and other interference relating to the nationwide 2020 census which is set to go online next week.

The ads from the Trump campaign began running online last week and asked people to take the “Official 2020 Congressional District Census” which then directed Facebook users to a website for fundraising to support President Trump’s re-election. The ads stated: “The information we gather from this survey will help us craft our strategies for YOUR CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT.”

Facebook stated this week that it was the first time that the company had removed a Trump campaign ad for violating its census interference policy, with a spokesperson stating: “There are policies to prevent confusion around the U.S. Census, and this is an example of those being enforced.”

The banned ads were paid for by Trump Make America Great Again Committee, a joint fundraising committee of Donald J. Trump for President Inc. and the Republican National Committee. Facebook has come under intense pressure recently to fact check political ads on its platform, which so far it has refused to do. It appears that the removal of the Trump campaign’s ads are the first recent political ads on its platform to be heavily scrutinized and removed.

Some of the campaign ads are still active on the platform while others were removed, as of Thursday afternoon. Democrats on Capitol Hill criticized the ads with House Peaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) stating before the ads were removed: “This is, on the part of Facebook, a robust unacceptable interference in the census.” At her weekly news conference, Pelosi added: “I know the profit motive is their business model, but it should not come at the cost of counting who is in our country so that we can provide the services.”

In December, Facebook announced a new policy designed to prevent census interference by banning misleading information about “when and how to participate in the census and the consequences of participating.” The social media firm also banned any ads that portray census participation “as useless or meaningless” or advising people not to participate.

Vanita Gupta, president and chief executive of the Education Fund which was a group that worked with Facebook to develop appropriate rules to prohibit census interference on its platform, criticized the time it took Facebook to remove the Trump campaign’s ads, saying: “While we’re gratified that Facebook shut down Trump’s attempt to sow confusion about how and when to participate in the 2020 Census, it’s disturbing that the ads weren’t immediately removed.”

Actual immigrants, though – the kind who contribute, refuse welfare, and come legally, can tell a different story.

Here’s the latest from the Trump administration that just strips the Democrats of their canards:

 The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is raising the cap on H-2B visas by 35,000 and pledged to add extra security provisions for the guest worker system.

DHS announced Thursday it’s raising the cap on H-2B visas — which applies to seasonal guest workers — by 35,000 in 2020. While the move placates concerns by the business community, which has lobbied to raise the cap in order to fill vacant jobs, the announcement will irk those who oppose more cheap foreign labor entering the U.S. market.

The whole thing makes sense, sense enough to call smart immigration policy. Trump has come up with a sensible guest worker policy that will reward legal immigration over the illegal immigration that Democrats champion. Democrats could have had this, claiming as they do to be champions of “the immigrant” but they just let Trump snatch it, leaving themselves now with only illegal immigration as their golden cause.

The Daily Caller hints that Trump’s policy is a measure to flood the country with cheap foreign labor, but that’s nonsense. The U.S. now has a  3% or 4% unemployment rate in the tightest job market in U.S. history and you can bet the jobs at the bottom of the food chain have the most openings, the most difficulty finding workers, because poor American workers are all moving up. Workers who really do do the lowest-paid jobs – in positions such as gardener or maid – will have now decent opportunities here as legal guest workers. They can work here where their services are needed, send money home, and come and go as they please, relieved of having to pay sleazy human smugglers and cartels. It’s a smartly designed policy to reward those who refuse to break U.S. immigration law and keep off welfare. When immigrants come here here legally they are perfectly welcome. 

It also makes sense on the foreign policy front. Central American nations such as Guatemala and El Salvador have been very helpful and cooperative in putting a stop to the organized migrant caravans to el norte, not just stopping the cartel-NGO industrial complex, which benefits from caravan crossings, but also for serving as first country of asylum for asylum seekers, ratting out those who are really looking for free stuff over those who are looking for any port in a storm. Someone’s put a stop to that nonsense, illegal migrant crossings are now severely down.  President Trump says it was them. Why shouldn’t they get rewarded for this with extra legal visas for their nationals? Rewarding good behavior is exactly the way to get more of it, encouraging legal immigration as a preferred alternative to illegal. 

Raising legal immigration in key areas such as low-paid services also serves a secondary purpose in that it strips away “business” from cartel human smugglers. Nobody’s going to pay $6,000 to a human smuggler when he or she has a legal visa to work, a decent income, and free and dignified in-and-out privileges.

A solution like this is so elegant in that it solves so many problems it raises questions as to why the Democrats, their open-borders advocate buddies, and the pious churchmen who speak out about “immigrants” (refusing to distinguish legal from illegal) haven’t thought of it first.

The Democrat-led House can raise immigration quotas, currently around 1 million a year, any time it likes. Trump’s move to extend this category of workers (likely from other categories such as chain migration, I am going to guess) does the same job they won’t do.

What this does then is leave Democrats championing solely unvetted, undocumented, very illegal immigration. Trump has carved a path for legal immigrants. Democrats are left with just illegal, a stupid thing because they could have had ‘legal’ in their column, too, something that would probably be quite popular with Latino and other voters with an interest in this.

Now all they are left with is their championship of illegal immigration. Trump has decisively snatched the torch of legal immigration right out from under them with the long neglected topic of guest workers, right when they weren’t looking. Illegal immigration benefits cartels. Legal immigration benefits U.S. rule of law and provides value to America itself.

 Democrats could have had this issue, but they chose to champion illegality instead. Now Trump has just punked them in a place where they weren’t looking.

Beware the wounded animal.  In pain and desperation, it will do violent things.  It seems to me no coincidence that Joe Biden’s big win on Super Tuesday was followed by Democratic senator Chuck Schumer threatening conservative members of the Supreme Court on Wednesday.

Joe Biden is hardly Lancelot to President Trump’s dragon.  The Democrats and the Deep State needed a first-class warrior; instead, their best option is a walking advertisement for Alzheimer’s awareness.  In his best days, Joe Biden was the political equivalent of Jack McCall, shooting his adversaries in the back.  When he wasn’t using his position of power for financial gain or stealing other people’s words, he was helping his family line their own pockets.  Today, he’s a disoriented and stumbling shell of an unimportant political hack who looks on in confusion while his wife does his fighting for him.  If you’ve ever wondered what happens to the shriveled soul of a lifetime liar and Democratic swindler, just cast your eyes upon Old Joe.  He’s a walking, talking effigy of Democratic corruption and amorality.  He’s what the Democratic Party usually keeps far off the main stage for the back-alley entertainment; now he’s the main event, but no amount of stick-prodding by Donna Brazile or Tom Perez is going to turn Joe Biden into Fred Astaire.  He’s a freak-show carnival attraction at best, amazing onlookers by his ability to occasionally jumble audible words together into a sentence.  The Democrats needed a man who could command a movement; all they got was a man who can barely control his own.

I’m not saying President Trump’s re-election is in the bag.  Far from it.  We’ve never seen such an array of villains acting in concert to take down an American president.  The Democratic Party has most of the permanent bureaucratic Deep State (as well as stealthy anti-Trump Republicans), Wall Street, Russia, Iran, China, Venezuela, cosmopolitan Europe, global warming doomsayers, the Middle East’s worst terrorists, and domestic Antifa terrorists here at home all actively working to dislodge President Trump from the White House.  In the past, the chiefs of our intelligence agencies and clandestine services retired into relative obscurity, cognizant that duty commanded their silent withdrawal into the pages of history.  After orchestrating a coup against the American president, however, it is not unusual to see the former heads of Obama’s CIA, FBI, and NSC all tirelessly justifying their criminal acts on cable news each night.  The corporate news media and institutional government have spent years trying to gin up enough hysteria in the nation that mock beheadings of the president and ritual re-enactments of his assassination during summer theater might lead the American people to clamor for the real thing.

So, no, the 2020 election will not be over until all the votes have been counted on November 3, and it becomes clear that we have successfully preserved Western civilization for at least a little while longer from this most recent manifestation of Vienna’s bloody 1683 siege.  All I am saying is that Joe Biden was never meant to be the establishment’s champion for resurrecting their oligarchic power.  They wanted a formidable presidential nominee, someone who could check all the right identity politics boxes while stringing words together that were substantively meaningless while singularly inspiring.  Instead, they’re settling for a politician past his expiration date who sounds less crème de la crème and more soused in crème de menthe.  The Democratic Party may depend on dead voters to win elections, but running dead candidates is another thing altogether.

So just because the cable news anchors and Carville clones are all high-fiving each other and cheering for managing to narrowly prevent a communist disciple of Stalin and Castro from sewing up the Democratic nomination for president by the beginning of March, don’t forget how disappointed they are at heart.  If Biden goes on to clinch the nomination, the Democratic Party will have managed to take all the aloof, plain, manila-folder blandness of John Kerry and combine it with the alertness and energy of a nursing home after pill rounds.  This is the one whom the commentariat is celebrating right now, the guy Obama and the gang blocked from running in 2016 because they felt him not quite up for the challenge when he was four years younger.  The vice president during the slowest economic recovery since the Great Depression, the wordsmith who marveled at Obama for being strangely “articulate” for a black guy, and the obtrusive shoulder-rubber whose chief political instinct was to sniff the hair of the wives and daughters of White House officials and visiting dignitaries.  Imagine being in such dire straits because the previous Democratic president so hollowed out the party’s future by losing over a thousand elected officials across the country during his time in office that the last, great hope to beat President Trump this year is just hoping to make it to bed each afternoon before saying something so inappropriate or illogical or ridiculous that Red Bernie becomes the Democrat’s Dear Leader by default.  For every minute of his few wakeful hours, his handlers have to be on constant guard against the possibility that a voice in Biden’s head will scream, “Oh, look, a young child with wonderful-smelling hair.”  ”Comeback Joe”?  More like “Come back, Joe!”

The Democrats and the Deep State have spent the last four years constructing the greatest wag-the-dog spectacle America’s ever seen in an attempt to cover up the malfeasance and criminality of the last administration, while preventing the current one from achieving too many victories.  Considering that Brennan and Comey are still free and Obama and Hillary are still smiling, they’ve been remarkably successful.  But the Mueller obfuscation and Schiff circus are behind us, the dance music of delay is dying down, and the Democrats’ and Deep State’s ability to keep pushing back their day of reckoning is coming to an end.  If they don’t win in 2020, they cannot keep justice at bay, regardless of how stacked in their favor it has always been in the past.  And standing in the gap as their last-ditch prospect to save them from President Trump’s re-election and spare them from long delayed judgment is none other than Corn Pop’s archenemy.  The one “reasonable” Democrat in the race who has already burnished his “moderate” credentials by fully embracing Bernie’s Green New Deal, Warren’s Medicare for All, and Beto’s door-to-door gun confiscation.  Nothing says “electable centrist Democrat” like “D’oh!” Biden’s full tilt toward Marxist socialism.  No wonder Chuck Schumer sounds like some injured animal in the forest, lashing out at tree branches all around him.  That’s what small, weak, dying creatures do when they know the end is near.

Has Mitt Romney betrayed the GOP?

When American Samoa came up after Super Tuesday, it usually had to do with it being the epitaph on Michael Bloomberg’s $500 million night of futility.

After spending half a billion dollars on an idiosyncratic bid to inundate America with advertisements and start his campaign on Super Tuesday, Bloomberg didn’t even reach the delegate threshold in plenty of the states he spent grotesque amounts of money in.

He did, though, score one win — American Samoa.

However, there was another curiosity about the American overseas territory: It also gave Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard a delegate, her first.

This, in and of itself, isn’t huge news. The issue for the Democratic National Committee is that, according to reports, they’ve been inviting everyone with a delegate to recent debates.

If Tulsi Gabbard gets a delegate out of American Samoa, as it appears she has done, she will likely qualify for the next Democratic debate. We don’t have new debate rules yet, but party has been inviting any candidate who gets a delegate.

“Candidates who had at least one pledged delegate automatically qualified for the debates that took place in New Hampshire, Nevada, and South Carolina earlier this year,” Fox News reported Wednesday.

We’ve seen Tulsi Gabbard on Democratic debate stages before.

Quite frankly, she can be one of the few reasons to actually tune in — which is why the Democrats quickly decided to make sure everyone knew that the rules for the next debate would be significantly changed.

We have two more debates– of course the threshold will go up. By the time we have the March debate, almost 2,000 delegates will be allocated. The threshold will reflect where we are in the race, as it always has.

That’s DNC communications director Xochitl Hinojosa, tweeting Tuesday night (after it became clear Gabbard would have a delegate) that the “have a delegate, have a podium” rule was likely to be changed because the former rules now meant Gabbard, least favorite candidate of Hillary Clinton and the woman who more or less ended Kamala Harris’ run, would be on stage at this late date.

By the way, there isn’t a while lot to sneeze at when it comes to a single delegate.

Billionaire tartan-tie enthusiast Tom Steyer didn’t even get one and was regularly on debate stages.

Amy Klobuchar only got seven , although she likely would have gotten quite a few more from Minnesota on Super Tuesday. (If her home state weren’t on the roster, however, she should have been prepared to stay at seven.)

“Hinojosa did not elaborate on what the new requirements will be, but if Gabbard fails to secure more delegates in next week’s primaries, she could be left out of the next debate in Arizona on March 15,” Fox News said.

I understand most of the responses to a tweet like this are going to be negative.

However, I’ve never quite seen a partisan tweet with as few defenders as this one. After scrolling through a deluge of responses, I only found two responses in favor, this being the only substantive one:

Democracy is serious business, not a fancy academic experiment. Allowing her on the stage only undermines it. She needs to be kicked off the stage.

Except this is hardly an academic experiment.

What does this undermine?

The DNC loosened the debate requirements with the tacit goal of letting Mike Bloomberg on stage after taking significant criticism for tightening them to the point where candidates of color were no longer appearing in debates.

(They also refused to conduct additional polling, as per Andrew Yang’s request, to see if any other candidates like Pacific-islander Gabbard, Sen. Cory Booker or Julián Castro could qualify after failing to do so for a December event in Los Angeles.) This seems to have worked out well for Bloomberg.

With Elizabeth Warren’s Thursday morning exit from the race, there are three candidates remaining in the Democratic race: former Vice President Joe Biden, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and Gabbard.

No, Gabbard doesn’t have the pull of either Biden or Bernie.

In fact, it’s safe to say only two of them have chances, and it’s the old, white men. That said, a third candidate who’s had a significant media draw, even if she doesn’t have flashy numbers, isn’t exactly a stretch.

Gabbard’s strange mix of policy proposals may not strike you as particularly interesting or salable. In fact, much of her popularity on the right comes from her refusal to vote yes on impeachment, her war of words with Hillary and her legendary “Stop! Stop! She’s already dead!” interaction with Kamala Harris.

That said, given the length of these debates and the fact we’ve had clown-car symposiums before, the idea there’s no room for a third candidate on stage is absurd. This is why nobody with any sense can trust the DNC.
