Conversations with Everyday Patriots at CPAC

My wife Mary and I attended CPAC conservative convention to promote the March 3rd 11:55 a.m. release of my new Trump Train song and music video. 

While most people at CPAC are excited to meet members of Congress, I tend to gravitate to vendors, authors, and everyday patriots in attendance. From among the many vendors selling Trump gear, Mary had to have a “Trump” purse shaped like a Coke can. Mary shot a short video of my interview with Mary Lou, the vendor. 

One of the most creative things I saw was the Trump hammocks.  Enjoy this short video of my interview with Steve, the hammock designer. 

Walt was a 70-something year-old farmer, sporting a great cowboy hat. Obama’s policies caused Walt to attend CPAC every year. Walt owns 70 acres. He grows corn. Walt and I chuckled about Mike Bloomberg’s insulting comments about farmers.

I sat in on a breakout session by Young Conservatives for Carbon Dividends. Their point is that progressives own the climate-change issue. They believe to win the millennial vote, Republicans must come up with their free-market solution to the problem of climate change. While I understand their thinking, I have a problem surrendering to the lie that man can control the climate. I covet your input. 

A drag queen wearing a patriotic themed outfit – big blonde wig, miniskirt, and knee-high boots – drew attention at CPAC. Some folks gathered to take a picture of themselves with the drag queen.

Amid the throngs, black conservative radio show host Lonnie Poindexter and I spotted each other. We embraced. Like me, Lonnie has been unable to break his black family and friend’s loyalty to the Democratic Party. He excitedly reported a tide change. Abortion and the aggressive bullying of LGBTQ activists is causing blacks to finally turn away from Democrats. Lonnie introduced me to a new political term, “leaner.” Leaners are people who lean in close to whisper into your ear that they are voting for Trump.

Back in my hotel room, Democrats and their fake news minions were all over TV despicably trying to cause Americans to panic over the coronavirus. Proving once again that they do not care about American lives, Democrats view the virus as a golden opportunity to sell their lies that Trump does not care, that Trump is incompetent, and that Trump must be removed from office for the safety of America. Democrats and fake news media are joyfully awaiting for Americans to begin dying from coronavirus.

Even more disturbing was watching talking heads on our side attacking Trump for firmly calling out the Democrats’ cold, calculated, and irresponsible politicizing of the situation.

Over the past three and a half years, the behavior of the Democrat-controlled House of Representatives led by Nancy Pelosi has made it abundantly clear that they only have one agenda item: to remove Donald Trump from office by any means necessary. Democrats and their fake news media minions have deemed that undermining whatever is good for America and even sacrificing American lives are acceptable weapons to achieve their goal. Therefore, these people are evil and extremely dangerous.

Given this shocking truth, it blows my mind that people on our side still criticize Trump for pushing back hard against Democratic and fake news media accusations. Establishment Republicans want Trump to express his displeasure with dignified presidential politeness.

Meanwhile, Democrats get to spew whatever vile evil hateful lie that comes out of their hearts with impunity. Twenty-four/seven fake news media promotes absurd accusations like Trump wants you dead; Trump is racist, and Trump lies about everything. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black, Democrats are guilty of every accusation they launch against Trump.

I say, let Trump fight our Democrat-giant-enemy-within in his own way. When young David stepped up to fight Goliath the giant in the Bible, King Saul offered David his battle tunic, his sword, his armor and a helmet. But it was too heavy and awkward. David said thanks, but I’m going to fight him my way with my trusty slingshot. David defeated Goliath.

God has prepared Trump for such a time as this. Though unconventional, Trump continues to win unprecedented battles against progressives for We the People. I feel comfortable allowing Trump to be Trump, courageously fighting for us in his own way.

One principle Trump understands is that the aggressor sets the rules of engagement. Trump fights his opponents with equal or more force. I love that he is suing the arrogant New York Times. Win or lose, Trump is pushing back against fake news.

For years, We the People have been frustrated by Republicans like Mitt Romney who foolishly persist in bringing an olive branch to engage in policy battles in which Democrats bring guns, flamethrowers, machetes, and grenades.

CPAC was really encouraging, folks — tons of young people, college students and millennial conservatives. It was surprising to learn that for many of them, their conservative values are an outgrowth of their Christian faith. The big message of CPAC was “Trump 2020!”

Obama Holdover Made the Call to Fly Coronavirus Patients Back to the US from Japan – Then Boasted About It

President Trump was reportedly furious after a State Department doctor ignored the President’s orders and allowed Americans, sick with the coronavirus, to return to the US from Japan.

Dr. William Walters, Executive Director and Managing Director for Operational Medicine for the Bureau of Medical Services at the U.S. Department of State, made the decision to bring the patients back to the US.

Dr. William Walters is a holdover from the Obama administration.
The good doctor made the call despite the president’s wishes and then went out and bragged about it.

Daniel Greenfield at Frontpage Magazine reported:

Dr. William Walters is still on duty. In 2017, Walters was boasting of prepping more Ebola evacuations even over President Trump’s opposition to the practice. And he was once again at the wheel now.

“The question was simply this: Are these evacuees?” Walters explained the decision to evacuate coronavirus patients to the United States. “And do we follow our protocol? And the answer to that was yes on both accounts.”

Consulting President Trump was not part of the protocol even on a major national security issue.

In a Congressional briefing, Walters boasted that, “the Department executed the largest non-military evacuation of U.S. citizens in its history. The safe and efficient evacuation of 1,174 people from Wuhan, China and people onboard the Diamond Princess cruise ship in Japan is a testament to the agility, proficiency, and dedication of our workforce to accomplishing our core mission – advancing the interests of the American people.”

And the triumph of the administrative state and its bureaucratic protocols over the President.

At a State Department briefing, Walters stated that, “The chief of mission, right, through the U.S. embassy, is ultimately the head of all executive branch activities.”

That is the problem. Right there.

Walters got his job in 2011. He’s a relic of the Obama era. That doesn’t mean that his politics are those of his former boss. But this is not about him. It’s about the reality that the White House doesn’t make many of the most vital decisions and doesn’t even know that they’re being made until it’s too late.

And what that means, beyond the politics of the moment, is that the people don’t decide.

You can vote one way or another and the real decisions that matter will still be made by the head of a directorate that is a subsection of a bureau that you never heard of, but that has a budget in the hundreds of millions, a small army as its disposal, and will follow whatever the protocol is.

This is how the country is really run. And that’s the problem.

"What Are The Odds?" – A Timeline Of Facts Linking Covid-19, HIV, & Wuhan’s Secret Bio-Lab

Having been permanently banned from Twitter for sharing the publicly-available details of the man who ran the show as far a bat-soup virology in Wuhan’s super-secret bio-lab – which is now a common talking point and rapidly shifting from conspiracy theory to conspiracy fact – we thought a reminder of how we got here was in order…

Scott Burke,  CEO of crypto-related firm Groundhog, unleashed what we feel may be the most complete timelines of facts to help understand the controversial links between COVID-19 and HIV, and COVID-19 and Wuhan Institute of Virology.

A disclaimer: I am not a virologist. This is me synthesizing what we have learned since the outbreak began and reviewing public scientific papers. I believe each of the following statements is a solid fact, backed up by a citation. 

I also want to say that I understand some people are worried about blame being cast for this outbreak. Obviously we are all in this together, and my intention here is not to cast blame. These links overwhelmingly compel further scrutiny, but are not conclusive. 

I do think however that information is being downplayed and suppressed by some scientists and media outlets and it’s our duty to find out the facts about this virus, do what we can to mitigate the outbreak, and prevent it from happening again.

Ready?…

So there’s original SARS, which is a type of coronavirus. SARS infects cells through the ACE2 receptor in hosts. 

The S spike protein plays a key role in how the virus infects cells. Each of the little spikes that surround the coronavirus is a spike protein (or S protein). That’s what gives the coronavirus it’s name – it’s “crown” of these spikes.

The S protein binds to the targeted cell through the ACE2 receptor, and boom, your cell is infected and becomes a virus replication factory.

After the first SARS outbreak, there was a “land rush” to find other coronaviruses. A collection of SARS-*like* coronaviruses was isolated in several horseshoe bat species over 10 years ago, called SARS-like CoVs, or SL-CoVs. Not SARS exactly, but coronaviruses similar to SARS. 

In 2007, a team of researchers based in Wuhan, in conjunction with an Australian laboratory, conducted a study with SARS, a SARS-like coronavirus, and HIV-1.

The researchers noted that if small changes were made to the S protein, it broke how SARS-CoV worked – it could no longer go in via ACE2. So they inferred the S protein was critical to the SARS attack vector. 

They also predicted based on the S-ACE2 binding structure, that SARS-like CoVs were not able to use this same attack method (ACE2 mediation). 

They decided to create a pseudovirus where they essentially put a SARS-like CoV in a HIV envelope. 

It worked.

Using an HIV envelope, they replaced the RBD (receptor binding domain) of SL-CoV with that of SARS-CoV, and used it to successfully infect bats through ACE2 mediation. 

12 years goes by…

A SARS-like CoV begins sweeping the globe that is far more infectious than previous outbreaks. 

Ground Zero for this outbreak (not first human patient, but first spreading event) is considered to be Wuhan Seafood Market. 

Wuhan Seafood Market is 20 miles from the National Biosafety Laboratory at Wuhan Institute of Virology.

Amidst the outbreak, a team of Indian bioinformatics specialists at Delhi University released a paper pre-print…

COVID-19 has a unique sequence about 1,378 nucleotide base pairs long that is not found in related coronaviruses. They claimed to identify genetic similarities in this unique material between COVID-19 and HIV-1. 

Specifically, they isolated 4 short genetic sequences in key protein structures (the receptor binding domain, or RBD).

Two of the sequences were perfect matches (albeit, short), and two of the sequences were matched but each with an additional string of non-matching material appearing in the middle of the sequence.

The paper was criticized and numerous attempts have been made to debunk it. After the criticism, the authors voluntarily withdrew it, intending to revise it based on comments made about their technical approach and conclusions. 

One key debunking attempt claims this:

The same sequences are found in a variant called BetaCoV/bat/Yunnan/RaTG13/2013, which had been found “in the wild” in bats.

This is an attempt to prove that it was not engineered, but mutated naturally in the wild.

But there’s a problem…

This strain was only known by and studied at the Wuhan Virology Institute, and although they claim it was discovered in 2013, it wasn’t published or shared with the scientific community until immediately after the Indian paper, on January 27, 2020.

The RatG13 strain publication and the HIV research paper from 2008 share an author.

I discovered this on my own by comparing the two papers and then quickly realized this scientist’s contact information was the information that ZeroHedge was suspended from Twitter for sharing. 

Their article identifies this author in question including some contact information from the Wuhan Virology Institute web site.

There is a line of inquiry about how the sequences are remarkably stable in between the “bat” CoV and the nCoV, where in nature they would likely have mutated in between their shared evolution. Also a call for greater scientific evidence that the strain was collected in the wild.

Here is the only point in this thread where I will offer my opinion rather than a list of facts: In light of all the previous facts, the efforts to debunk the paper are not yet convincing in my view. 

The RaTG13 paper makes the claim that, oh, that HIV-related material you identified that happens to protein fold to become a perfect attack vector for nCoV to attack ACE2?

It’s a relative of this other secret virus which came from the wild which we forgot to tell the scientific community about until now for no reason.

Here’s the secret virus – it came from bats – and here’s the new virus, see, they have the same HIV-related sequences… so… bats!

Totally not secret pathogen research which escaped the lab. 

What are the odds that a SARS-like coronavirus with overlapping genetics from HIV mutated and crossed over into humans, next door to a laboratory which had been enhancing coronavirus with HIV for over a decade? And conversely, what are the odds it leaked out of the laboratory?

Let’s learn! What do you think? Maybe I’m wrong! Can anyone disprove any of the links in the chain above? One thing is for sure, the science behind all this is fascinating.

If you think Democrats and the media are politicizing coronavirus, you’re right

The media routinely call Trump divisive and controversial, forgetting that they are the ones stirring up the divisions and the controversy. Looked at objectively, Trump’s presidency is consistent with the American mainstream through Reagan. Indeed, even though some values have changed since Reagan’s time, Trump is still well within American norms. It’s the media that’s advocating for divisive and controversial policies, both at home and abroad.

Mostly, the media’s name-calling has been merely irritating. After all, people who wish to do so have been able to separate the wheat from the chaff. The habit, however, went from irritating to dangerous with coronavirus’s appearance on the scene. From the first day, the media decided to use coronavirus as a way to destroy Trump’s reelection chances.

To that end, the media has consistently lied about how Trump has handled the disease. American Thinker detailed some of those lies on Sunday. That post, however, pales in the face of an epic Twitter thread that Steve Guest, the GOP’s Rapid Response Director wrote on the same day. It’s a long thread because there are so many instances of the left’s rank dishonesty in politicizing the coronavirus, so this post will only repeat some of it. However, you really should read the entire thread if you want to understand how badly the Democrats and the media are gaslighting the American people:

The Democrats and their media handmaidens are lying to you because they can. There are no consequences for what they’re doing. Democrat politicians keep collecting votes from hardcore supporters or from credulous members of the public and media figures keep their jobs. Indeed, the only thing that will make a leftist lose his or her job is daring to oppose leftist convention wisdom.

Once that happens, the mob comes calling. Don Surber provides a microcosm of how this works in his analysis of the efforts to remove MSNBC’s Chris Matthews for daring to liken the Democrat Party to the failed French military at the start of World War II. When you’re on the left, you’re always dancing on the backs of crocodiles. Miss a step and they will eat you.

That kind of viciousness toward their own, of course, is nothing compared to the viciousness directed at Trump and his supporters. Just remember that you are being lied to, openly and consistently, and that will help you in your search for the truth. And it doesn’t hurt to have Steve Guest lend a guiding hand for that search.

Officials admit it: Trump saved lives and spared America from worst of coronavirus

President Trump has been outrageously lied about by Democrats, who invented a claim that he called the illness a ‘hoax,’ and he’s also been subject to assorted howls of ‘chaos’ and unreadiness and doing nothing-ness from other quarters of the pious left.

Turns out none of this was true. Here’s what is true, in Trump’s own tweet:

 

 

Trump’s fast, decisive, and serious action, taken in the smog of the Democrats’ impeachment stunt, has saved America from Italy’s, Iran’s and South Korea’s high casualty and big shutdown fate, saving America lives.

Here’s more (hat tip: Instapundit), from PJMedia’s Matt Margolies:

New York Times science reporter Donald G. McNeil Jr. noted that the Trump administration took “aggressive measures like barring entry to non-Americans who were recently in China and advising Americans not to go to China or South Korea,” and that this strategy worked, despite the fact that the World Health Organization officially opposes travel and trade restrictions, and “reiterated that even as it declared the epidemic a global emergency on Jan. 30.”

Republican Senator Tom Cotton said on Friday that “The single most consequential and valuable thing done to stop this virus from already spreading throughout the United States was when President Trump decided to shut down travel to China last month.” He also acknowledged that “the so-called experts who opposed the decision at the time” eventually admitted that it “bought valuable time to prevent the spread of this virus in the United States.”

We know it was painful for them to ‘admit’ this, forced into crediting President Trump for leadership well done.

China was in denial. South Korea was in denial. South Korea was even prioritizing good relations with China over its own citizens’ welfare. It’s likely at least some of the other hard-hit countries enacted the same position. Only Trump recognized the threat for what it was and took the only known steps that could stop it, by shutting the border, even as the left howled.

Now the U.S. is largely safe from the coronavirus, fingers crossed, but the nations that dismissed the threat are suffering significantly. Obviously, we all want everyone to get well who’s affected. But it’s worth noting that these new infections need never have happened. Next time, these affected nations ought to listen and follow President Trump, a man who consistently recognizes enemies both political and external. 

Kudos to our president. This man protected us in the face of harm, ignored the flak he got for it, and the results now speak for themselves.

Republican Senator Tom Cotton said on Friday that “The single most consequential and valuable thing done to stop this virus from already spreading throughout the United States was when President Trump decided to shut down travel to China last month.” He also acknowledged that “the so-called experts who opposed the decision at the time” eventually admitted that it “bought valuable time to prevent the spread of this virus in the United States.”

We know it was painful for them to ‘admit’ this, forced into crediting President Trump for leadership well done.

There’s also the word of China and East Asia expert Gordon Chang:

 

 

 

 

 

 

China was in denial. South Korea was in denial. South Korea was even prioritizing good relations with China over its own citizens’ welfare. It’s likely at least some of the other hard-hit countries enacted the same position. Only Trump recognized the threat for what it was and took the only known steps that could stop it, by shutting the border, even as the left howled.

Now the U.S. is largely safe from the coronavirus, fingers crossed, but the nations that dismissed the threat are suffering significantly. Obviously, we all want everyone to get well who’s affected. But it’s worth noting that these new infections need never have happened. Next time, these affected nations ought to listen and follow President Trump, a man who consistently recognizes enemies both political and external. 

Kudos to our president. This man protected us in the face of harm, ignored the flak he got for it, and the results now speak for themselves.

Call Democrats the Regressive Party

They proudly call themselves “Progressives,” but the fundamental beliefs and policies they espouse were once the status quo of ancient Egypt and Babylonia.  The so- called “Progressives” of today are truly the most regressive political advocates since the command economies of national mercantilism.  Their defective education and misunderstanding of the lessons of history truly imperil America’s future.

They seem to have skipped class when Economics: 101 was being taught.  Basics like supply and demand, economic competition, rational self-interest, and all the rest of Adam Smith’s “Wealth of Nations ” — they seem oblivious of all that.

Instead of learning the truisms of classical economics, they languished in classes where they were taught “identity politics,” “victimization,” “racism,” and “collective guilt.”  Following the curriculum of left-wing academia, they missed out on the futility of Luddites smashing steam engines, medieval guilds imposing wage and price controls, Mao’s Great Leap Forward, and Stalin’s Five-Year Plans.

Their modern prophets, Warren and Sanders, continue to advocate plans that have long since been discarded on the junk heap of bad economic theory — theories disproven in Russia, China, Cuba, North Korea, and many other failed states.  Sanders hides his bad theory under the label of “Democratic Socialism,” as though the term “democratic” can redeem the term “socialism.”  Bad plans are bad plans, whether they are forced on society or democratically chosen by gullible people who seek unearned, instantaneous benefits.

Like Marx and Lenin before them, they rail against the “corrupt and greedy” rich.  They present themselves as the just, and wise, the only ones who know how to correctly dispose of other people’s money.  For if the rich are corrupt and greedy, it is only justice to rob them of their wealth and to share that wealth with others.  Like the pharaohs and priest-kings of the ancient world, these modern oracles of truth have wonderful, glorious plans: Green New Deals, reparations, free college, free child care, free everything.  Their plans are much improved over pagan Rome’s, which promised only bread and circuses.  Those who agree with their plans need feel no shame; they are, after all, taking from the “corrupt and greedy” and doing their virtuous part to reduce economic inequality.

Other regressive features  in line with the ancient past are their promotion of class warfare and identity politics, both of which are a form of tribalism.  Americans throughout most of our history have been proud of our individualism, our can-do pioneer spirit.  We celebrated America as a whole, not spending much time holding up Europe or any other foreign land as a superior paradigm.  Manifest Destiny and the City on a Hill were more descriptive of our American outlook.

 The Democratic Party promotes what I call “spoiled child syndrome.”  The members of each sub-group are constantly told they are disadvantaged and discriminated against.  It promotes a false sense of entitlement, anger, and suspicion, a lingering resentment against the success of others.

This cultivation of suspicion and hatred of others has produced countless separatist wars, genocides, and perpetual political instability in Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America.  Shiites and Sunnis, Tutsis and Hutus, and the bloody conflicts that divide them are extreme examples of the politics of regression.

The Democratic Party that says it speaks for the interests of black Americans would have them forever wallow in a stew of racial resentment, forever angry, forever in need  of help, and forever voting for their “Regressive Party.”  For if the majority of black Americans can ever discern the Democratic Party’s rhetorical sleight of hand, their cynical attempts at political manipulation, they will commit the ultimate taboo in the ancient pagan world, which was to reject groupthink for  the beginnings of free thought.

Is Bernie’s old-fashioned, class-based socialism driving away black voters?

South Carolina was a blowout for Joe Biden. This reverses the trend in Iowa, Nevada, and New Hampshire, all of which gave the cold shoulder to Biden and went all in for Bernie. Looking at South Carolina, a state with a sizeable black population one has to wonder if the conventional wisdom is correct – that blacks are supporting Biden because of Obama nostalgia — or if there’s something deeper going on here.

Iowa, New Hampshire, and Nevada all have significant white majorities, especially compared to their black populations. In Iowa, 90% of the citizens are white and only 3.5% of them are black. In ­New Hampshire, 93% of the population is and only 1.53% is black. And in Nevada, whites constitute 66% of the population, with blacks comprising just shy of 9%. Significantly, Hispanics in Nevada make up more than 26% of the population, 53% of whom supported Bernie.

South Carolina has very different demographics. Only 67% of its citizens are white and 27% are black. While blacks are nowhere close to a majority, they constitute a significant portion of the population compared to their representation in the two states that went for Bernie.

Those black voters made the difference in Biden’s South Carolina victory. According to the AP:

Biden won about 60% of the votes cast by non-white voters, dominating a crowded Democratic field among a group that made up more than half of the electorate. 

The AP posits that blacks supported Biden because they associate him with Obama:

Forty-five percent of voters in South Carolina wanted to return to the politics of the past, compared to about a third in Iowa and New Hampshire. That includes the roughly 50% of African American voters who said they want a Democratic presidential nominee who would emulate Obama’s presidency. Overall, Biden won 63% of voters who preferred a return to politics before Trump.

The way the AP phrases the issue, it sounds as if black voters see Biden basking in the penumbra of Obama’s blackness. That’s a very simplistic view and implies that black voters don’t see Biden on his own terms. Here’s a slightly different theory:

Bernie Sanders is a Marxist. In other words, his politics are grounded in class warfare. He’s willing to play the identity politics game if he thinks it will give him an advantage, but his heart isn’t in it. His totalitarian goals are about a true socialist revolution that sees private property abolished and the state in charge of all things, all of which he believes will result in perfect economic equality. (The fact that it doesn’t actually work this way doesn’t disturb Bernie.)

Obama, though, came from the newer, progressive branch of leftism. This approach is grounded in gaining political power through identity politics. We saw this in the frantic pandering to black voters that the Democrat candidates displayed in the South Carolina debate this past Tuesday. They don’t have a grand vision of a socialist state. Instead, they have a vision of an endless parade of identity groups, all of whom can be persuaded that the Democrats will protect them best. These Democrats are statists, but they’re not classic Marxists.

In 2020, black voters within the Democrat Party are in a surprisingly precarious position and they know it. The Democrat party needs their votes to win, but they’re falling out of favor of as the Democrats’ preferred “identity politics” group.

The black population has grown slowly relative to the total U.S. population (perhaps in part because Democrat policies encourage them to abort their children at an exceptionally high rate). The real growth is with Hispanics, as demonstrated by the Democrats’ passionate devotion to open borders. For blacks, though, open borders mean increased job competition and depressed wages.

Bernie represents another threat to blacks within the Democrat Party. As noted, Bernie isn’t about identity politics and victimhood. In his own way, he’s as colorblind as Donald Trump. It’s just that, while Trump wants to raise up all Americans through economic opportunity and prosperity, Bernie wants to equalize everyone into the flat despair of a stagnant Marxist economy.

Blacks, therefore, are presented with three choices: Trump, whom they’ve been taught to fear; Bernie, who doesn’t believe they’re anything special; and the other Democrats, who are still practicing race-based politics.

Regarding the generic Democrats, blacks that the younger generation of race-based Democrats is focusing on Hispanic voters. From their perspective, Biden represents the last gasp of politicians who didn’t just use blacks to get votes but actually promoted politics that, at least superficially, benefitted blacks. (Again, the reality is that they didn’t benefit blacks because they created geographic and economic ghettoes that trapped black families for generations, but the sales pitches always sounded so good.)

Thus, it’s entirely possible that blacks aren’t running to Biden; they’re running from Bernie and Biden seems like the safest haven.

Democrats escalate the lies they’re throwing at Trump about coronavirus

With the rise of coronavirus, the Democrats are so desperate to destroy Trump that they’re lying about everything possible, celebrating damage to the American economy, and working hard to drive ordinary Americans into a blind panic. This is an unusually sordid display of partisanship over country, although none of them have the grace to be ashamed. A look at Obama’s presidency reveals that the Democrats’ standards were quite different back then.

To set the stage, here are a few indisputable facts:

On January 31, 2020, as China confirmed that 259 people had died and there were about 100 cases reported outside of China, President Trump ordered that the U.S. would prevent foreign nationals who had recently visited China from entering the country. He also ordered quarantined American travelers who posed a high risk.  

Democrats called Trump a racist.

Democrats were worried that Trump’s germ phobia would make him issue even more and worse racist orders.

President Trump held a press conference during which (1) he was surrounded by government scientists who explained what was going on (2) he appointed Vice President Pence, a competent, experienced administrator, to be the White House point person on coronavirus efforts.

Democrats called Pence a killer.

Democrats also announced that henceforth they would call coronavirus “TrumpVirus” because Trump had appointed Pence to oversee the administrative end of dealing with coronavirus and because Trump said there was no need for panic.

Nancy Pelosi complained that Trump had waited too long to act, even though when she spoke not a single American had died.

Elizabeth Warren said that she would end the “racist” border wall by taking all wall funds and putting them into coronavirus research (never mind that, since time immemorial, sealing borders has been one of the prime ways in which governments have been able to protect their citizens from epidemic disease).

Trump stated during the rally in South Carolina that the Democrats’ unceasing and dishonest attacks against him for his handling of the coronavirus risk were their latest hoax.

The media reported that Trump had declared that coronavirus itself was a hoax, one of the most blatantly dishonest bits of reporting ever to come from the media.

Leftists are actively hoping that coronavirus causes so much economic disruption that it will hurt Trump politically – never mind that it will also hurt ordinary Americans:

All of the above is despicable. And lest you doubt how despicable it is, Victoria Taft provides some contrast from the Obama era:

In April of 2009, the H1N1 became a pandemic.

But it wasn’t until six months later, October, that then-President Obama declared a public health emergency on what was already a pandemic. By that time, the disease had infected millions of Americans and more than 1,000 people had died in the U.S.

CNN reported at the time:

Since the H1N1 flu pandemic began in April, millions of people in the United States have been infected, at least 20,000 have been hospitalized and more than 1,000 have died, said Dr. Thomas Frieden, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. [emphasis added]

Furthermore, the CDC’s Frieden fretted at the time that efforts to create a vaccine had stumbled:

“We are nowhere near where we thought we would be,” Frieden said, acknowledging that manufacturing delays have contributed to less vaccine being available than expected. “As public health professionals, vaccination is our strongest tool. Not having enough is frustrating to all of us.”

Frieden said that while the way vaccine is manufactured is “tried and true,” it’s not well-suited for ramping up production during a pandemic because it takes at least six months. The vaccine is produced by growing weakened virus in eggs.

To add insult to injury (and with Elizabeth Warren’s plan to end southern border protection in mind), H1N1 entered the U.S. from Mexico! No wonder, then, that Trump is contemplating closing the Southern border entirely, something that will place Democrats in an uncomfortable position as they balance their alternating cries that Trump is a racist and that he’s not taking coronavirus seriously enough.

There’s always the small possibility that this latest coronavirus outbreak is the second coming of the Black Death. Possible, but that’s not probable. What’s more likely is

  • that it’s a flu that’s a little worse than the usual flu;

  • that Third World medical treatment in socialized medicine countries such as China, Italy, and Iran leads to bad outcomes;

  • that America’s better personal and civic hygiene will slow the virus’s spread;

  • that America’s minimal air pollution and lower rates of cigarette smoking will make our lungs more resilient; and

  • that Trump’s early move to shut the border will have protected us.

If the coronavirus does lead to nothing more than a somewhat more severe flu season, the Democrats will look not only vicious and foolish but also evil for having frightened Americans to death and wreaked havoc with the economy solely to gain a political advantage in an election year.

How worried are progressive Jewish voters about Bernie’s anti-Semitism?

Whenever Bernie is asked about his feelings towards Israel, he’ll start spouting off about his being Jewish and having spent three months in Israel. It’s true that Bernie is genetically Jewish but he doesn’t have a smidgen of affection for either Judaism or the Jewish state. This is beginning to frighten progressive Jews.

The Bernie con about Judaism and Israel starts with his stay in Israel. The kibbutz on which he lived in 1963 was no ordinary kibbutz. Instead, it was a hardcore Stalinist kibbutz that supported Soviet foreign policy against both America and Israel. Kibbutzniks were early adopters of the two-state solution that would have spelled the end of Israel as a Jewish state.

Bernie’s hatred for Netanyahu is also a giveaway to his attitudes about the world’s only Jewish state. He claims that he supports Israel, yet he demonizes its Prime Minister as a “racist.” Because Israel has repeatedly elected Netanyahu, that means he’s calling Israel, the only open, pluralist democracy in the whole Middle East, a racist nation.

More Israel hatred leaked from Bernie when he not only skipped the annual conference held by the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, a bipartisan PAC supporting Israel, but did so with a gross insult:

Other campaign surrogates are Rashida Tlaib, who usually seems more concerned about representing Palestinians than Americans; and Ilhan Omar, who routinely spouts anti-Semitic tropes.

All of this has progressive Jews very nervous. On Democrat Jewish Facebook groups, people are likening him to England’s Jeremy Corbyn, only they’re saying that he’s more dangerous because his Jewish ancestry gives him cover for his open anti-Semitism.

Another theory that’s making the rounds works of the fact that Bernie supporters ridicule Jewish concerns about anti-Semitism. Jews are worried that, if Bernie does not win either the primary or the general election, Bernie supporters will scapegoat the Jews by claiming that Bernie’s loss resulted because paranoid Jews abandoned Bernie because of unfounded fears about anti-Semitism. 

More and more Democrat-voting Jews on social media are linking to articles about Bernie’s anti-Semitism that are being published in conservative Jewish outlets such as Commentary Magazine, Israelly Cool, or Algemeiner. The comments always begin, “I know this is from a right wing magazine, but….” They’re worried. Very worried. 

Currently, progressives Jews are pinning their hopes on Michael Bloomberg. While they wish he were more of an economic Leftist, they like his stands on abortion (unlimited), guns (seized), Trump (hatred), and Israel (support — although Bloomberg, the coward, let Bernie get away unchallenged with his Netanyahu insult). Still, they are uncomfortable with the idea of someone buying an election and they doubt that Bloomberg can succeed anyway. His personality is uninspiring, to say the least. 

So it is that Daniel Greenfield reports on polling showing that, in New York State,

A startling 61% of Jews have an unfavorable view of Sanders.

Only 6% of Jews would vote for Bernie on Super Tuesday.

And then we come to the real kicker. A majority of Jews and Catholics would pick Trump over Sanders in a general election.

It’s true that New York state has more Orthodox Jews than, say, California, but the increased nervousness amongst all Jews, from Reform to Orthodox, hints that many of them, even if they cannot make themselves vote for Trump (despite his being the most pro-Israel president ever), will not have the stomach to vote for Bernie either.

Whenever Bernie is asked about his feelings towards Israel, he’ll start spouting off about his being Jewish and having spent three months in Israel. It’s true that Bernie is genetically Jewish but he doesn’t have a smidgen of affection for either Judaism or the Jewish state. This is beginning to frighten progressive Jews.

The Bernie con about Judaism and Israel starts with his stay in Israel. The kibbutz on which he lived in 1963 was no ordinary kibbutz. Instead, it was a hardcore Stalinist kibbutz that supported Soviet foreign policy against both America and Israel. Kibbutzniks were early adopters of the two-state solution that would have spelled the end of Israel as a Jewish state.

Bernie’s hatred for Netanyahu is also a giveaway to his attitudes about the world’s only Jewish state. Trump is our Equalizer!

First there was the television series starring British actor Edward Woodward as an ex-intel officer who spends his later years helping innocent people caught in overwhelming dangerous situations usually not of their own making.  In 2014, Denzel Washington starred in the film loosely based on the series.  It was a huge hit, followed by a sequel.

Washington plays a widowed ex-intel officer who takes on the Russian mobsters that traffic young European girls.  He is bothering the biggest of the bad guys.  They have paid off countless members of Congress and other persons in power.  But the bad guys, of course, underestimate him because they are congenitally dumb, and because it is an action thriller, he kills them all, puts them out of business and saves the young girl he sought to rescue.  The sequel to the 2014 film is almost as good; satisfying because the good guy wins again.

Trump is our good guy, the man who has taken on the deep corruption that has infected the entire bureaucracy of our government with the cooperation of the Obama administration and his weaponized law enforcement agencies.  It is sickening how many of those swamp dwellers were so easily co-opted, how willing they were to betray the American people, the Constitution, their own families and friends and their country.  But Trump won to be our equalizer, to rid the government of its traitors, to set things right.  He has been doing just that.   

The American left is still terminally deranged by Donald Trump’s 2016 electoral victory.  They are so stupefied by their rage and anger that they continue to make moronic mistakes, like trying to impeach him over a perfectly normal and acceptable phone conversation with the new president of Ukraine.  Their Russia hoax, which was in truth a cover-up operation, failed miserably; the Mueller Report made utter fools of Adam Schiff, Jerald Nadler and Nancy Pelosi.  But they never learn from their failures.  They just double down and make even bigger mistakes.  They are like the Russian mobsters and pimps of the Equalizer films in which Denzel Washington makes mincemeat out of the bad guys because they are so dimwitted and, at the same time, as evil as we can imagine human beings can be.  

The films are Hollywood fiction of course and are chock full of all the cruelty and violence we’ve come to expect from such action thrillers.  But there is a beautiful symmetry to such tales of good versus evil.  Most of the time the good guys win.  They win because the bad guys are really dumb.  It is a cliché, but it’s true in nearly all Hollywood films.  Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood invented a very satisfying ending to the true and horrific tale of the Manson murders of 1969 in Los Angeles.  If only….

Evil exists in almost every walk of life and so must be repelled, resisted and beaten back by good people.  What the intel agencies of the Obama administration embarked upon once Donald Trump became a presidential candidate comes under the category of pure evil.   Without the remotest sense of honor, this faction among the highest echelons of our FBI, CIA and DOJ set out to destroy the candidate and all those in his sphere of friends and advisers at the time.  They created a scenario, set up their targets and put their diabolical plan in action.  

They never doubted for a minute that it would work; the ridiculous dossier, the Clinton money, the Clintons’ bevy of loyalists willing to go to any length to ruin Trump, the posse of unscrupulous agents in the FBI, CIA and DOJ, the carefully chosen but unprincipled lawyers that became the Mueller team – they had it all planned and set in motion.  They all colluded in the most corrupt scheme in American history to bring down a candidate, then President they could not have messing about in their swamp.  

The Mueller “probe” was never a legitimate investigation, it was always a cover-up.  That these scoundrels are still walking around “guilty as hell, free as birds” (Bill Ayers), collecting their taxpayer-funded salaries and pensions is too much to bear for most law-abiding, America-loving citizens.  Something’s got to give!  Even analysts like Gregg Jarrett are losing hope, predicting that they will all skate, as McCabe apparently has while Roger Stone, an ardent outsider, has been tried and convicted… of what?  Virtually nothing.  Stone certainly committed no crime as nefarious as Comey, Clapper, Brennan, and all their little ruthless helpers.

Will AG Barr and John Durham get the goods on all these conspirators and indict them, or will they be let off as those with political power usually are?  One thing is clear:  If those responsible for the attempted coup are not brought to justice, Americans will never trust the FBI, the CIA or the DOJ ever again.  We will have become just another failed state, socialist in that those in positions of power in the government can get away with literal and figurative murder.  See Angelo Codevilla’s column on Socialism’s  Inequalities.   

President Trump has effected more positive outcomes for the American people in a briefer amount of time than any president in US history.  But he is an outsider; he’s not one of them, the self-appointed elites who not very elite at all.  He’s a man who builds things, gets things done, cares about the people for whom they have not ever given a second thought.  

Have Pelosi or Schiff done a single thing for their districts in the past three years or ever?  No.  They care only about getting and keeping power because that power has enriched them beyond belief.  So, it was time that we the people got our own equalizer and we did!  He has a hard road to hoe, but with the Democrat candidates all promising to raise taxes, take away our health insurance, do away with fossil fuels, abolish the Second Amendment, open our borders to migrants from all over the world without vetting, to transform us into a socialist, globalist non-nation, it was indeed time for an equalizer to rescue us from certain destruction.  Trump is not only our equalizer, he is our knight in shining armor who stood up to take on the cesspool that is our bloated government and two-tiered system of justice.  Let us all pray for his re-election and continued success.  The alternatives are untenable.
