Days Before Easter, California County Makes Going to Church a Crime

With the coronavirus pandemic burning its way across the globe, Christians everywhere are looking forward to Easter — a celebration of life, the faith and the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

For worshipers in California’s San Bernardino County, however, the very act of going to church is now a crime.

According to an April 7 order from the county’s health officer, even drive-up services are now considered a forbidden way to worship.

“This guidance does allow faith based services that are provided through streaming or other technology,” the order reads, “while individuals remain in their homes, but does not allow individuals to leave their homes for driving parades or drive-up services, or for picking up non-essential items.”

“Violation of or failure to comply with this Order is a crime punishable by fine, imprisonment, or both.”

TRENDING: Chuck Norris Warns of Rebellion, Martial Law if America’s COVID Strategy Doesn’t Change

As you can see, California isn’t a total nanny state — government officials have magnanimously allowed pastors to stream services to their congregations.

The shockingly restrictive order comes less than a week before Easter, when even people who don’t regularly attend church file into places of worship.

While the order also requires those venturing outside to wear face coverings and practice social distancing, there is no allowance made for churches that can ensure all their worshipers obey these rules.

The rules don’t explicitly ban religious services, but for the technologically challenged and those without internet access, chances are slim that they’ll be able to celebrate Easter with their church without outside help.

Would you attend church in violation of this order?

It’s unclear if the order would classify that help as non-essential and therefore forbidden during the pandemic.

The crackdown on religious freedom is happening not only in the golden utopia of California, but in many other parts of the country, as well.

One pastor in Baltimore found himself at the center of a police visit in March for seemingly violating a similar health order.

Officers responding questioned the church leader on whether or not he knew about the order, a scene that the Baltimore pastor described as looking “like a police raid on a drug deal.”

Although that service ended shortly after police arrived, the pastor vowed the worship sessions would continue.

A preacher violating a similar order in Florida was not so lucky.

Tampa pastor Rodney Howard-Browne was arrested last month after violating a state order on gatherings of over 10 people, a move that came after officials slammed his ongoing religious services as “reckless disregard for human life.”

The church leader is now appealing to the statutes of man, and vowed the county sheriff would “get a lesson on the Constitution and discriminatory application of the law.”

The government is now proving that our religious freedoms, though enshrined in the first article of the Constitution, are only an official’s signature away from being trampled over.

Developing a Vaccine for Media Bias

Developing a Vaccine for Media BiasH.G. Wells’ book, War of the Worlds, shows the aliens dying at the end, after almost destroying planet earth, when germs poison them. In real life, human beings are being killed by germs in the form of the coronavirus and the major media. One poisons your body, the other poisons your mind.

“We were all praying for a miracle,” says Gene Barry in the 1953 movie version of the book, as church bells ring in the distance. The movie narrator explains, “The Martians had no resistance to the bacteria in our atmosphere to which we have long since become immune. Once they had breathed our air, germs which no longer affect us began to kill them.”

Pelosi Warns Next Small Business Stimulus Spending Bill Would Not Pass House If Democrats Don’t Get What They Want

Pelosi Warns Next Small Business Stimulus Spending Bill Would Not Pass House If Democrats Don’t Get What They Want

Unlike the Phase 3 of the fiscal stimulus, which represented $2.2 trillion in bailout aid for America’s small and medium business, and which passed through Congress without a glitch if with some delays, the next – Phase 4 – stimulus sought by Republicans may face far greater hurdles.

According to Reuters, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said on Wednesday that $250 billion in coronavirus relief for small businesses desired by Republicans would not pass the House of Representatives on its own under current procedures, which require a unanimous vote of those present while most of Congress is out of town.

The reason why the aid would not get unanimous Democratic support is because Pelosi and Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer are demanding that more aid for hospitals, local governments and food assistance be added to the small business aid proposal that the Trump administration and Republicans want passed this week.

Pelosi was speaking in an interview with National Public Radio. Asked if there are limits on spending for coronavirus relief, she said "No, we have to spend what we need."

Which leaves republicans with two options: delay the passage of the next stimulus indefinitely, even though according to many the current $350 billion allocated to the PPP small business rescue program will be insufficient, or concede to Democrats and add far more pork to the bill.

Considering that according to Goldman, the US deficit will soar to 18% of GDP in 2020…

… and public US debt will hit 99% by the end of FY2020 and to 108% of GDP by 2023 from the current level of 79%…

… one can ask "what difference does it make?" After all, going forward the Fed will likely have to monetize all debt in perpetuity or risk losing control of long-term rates. In fact, one can probably also ask: why should anyone pay taxes ever again?

States Use “Purge” Sirens, Fines, And Arrests To Force People To Comply With Stay-At-Home Order

States Use "Purge" Sirens, Fines, And Arrests To Force People To Comply With Stay-At-Home Order

Via Mass Private I,

Historically speaking, it is hard for Americans to see how their liberties have been taken away. With the COVID-19 pandemic spreading across the country, hopefully that will no longer be the case.

In Crowley, Louisiana police are using “Purge” sirens to warn people to stay indoors during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In an effort to alert residents to the parish-wide curfew in Acadia Parish, Crowley Police rode around town broadcasting an alarm signal at 9:00 last night, but it’s not what anyone expected. In a video provided to KATC, the audible alarm from Crowley Police is actually the alarm sound from the successful film franchise The Purge.

Crowley Police will ticket people for going outside without documentation.

“After several days of this, the police department says they will begin giving out citations to violators. If you are headed to work or leaving work, you must have documentation from your employer.”

In Louisville, Kentucky a judge has ordered that people who ignore stay-at-home orders to wear GPS ankle bracelets.

“A judge has ordered one resident to stay at home after refusing to self-quarantine. CNN affiliate WDRB reports that the person, identified as D.L. in the court order, is living with someone who has tested positive for the illness and another person who is a presumptive case, according to an affidavit from Dr. Sarah Moyer, director of the health department.”

In Vermont, the Attorney General’s Office ordered police to stop setting up checkpoints and roadblocks to detain motorists who do not comply with stay-at-home orders. In Maine, a Franklin County Sheriff said they will not arrest motorists who do not comply with stay-at-home orders, “this is not Nazi Germany or Soviet Russia where you are asked for your papers.”

In Massachusetts and Alabama the government is giving law enforcement the names of anyone suspected of having COVID-19.

In Rhode Island, the state police are stopping people with New York state license plates and the National Guard is going door-to-door looking for New York state residents. In New York City the mayor has authorized the NYPD to fine people $500.00 for not observing social distancing.

In New Jersey, the Bergen County DA’s Office ordered police to stop requiring suspected COVID-19 patients to post signs on their homes. Police in Pennsylvania fined a woman $200.00 for taking a drive, and in Baltimore, Maryland the National Guard is being used to enforce COVID-19 curfews.

In FloridaDelaware, and Texas police are authorized to stop and question out-of state motorists. In Chicago, the mayor has threatened to arrest people for violating stay-at-home orders. Police in Rio Grande Valley are setting up roadblocks and 24/7 patrols to fine people for ignoring stay-at-home orders, while police in Detroit use video surveillance planes to fine people $1,000 and up to six months in jail for not observing social distancing. (To find out about Baltimore police surveillance airplanes, click here.)

In Brighton, Colorado a father was arrested for playing T-ball in a park with his 6-year-old daughter and wife because he did not observe social-distancing.

She’s like, ‘Daddy, I don’t want you to get arrested.’ At this point I’m thinking, ‘There’s no way they’re going to arrest me, this is insane.’ I’m telling her, ‘Don’t worry, Daddy’s not going to get arrested. I’ve done nothing wrong. Don’t worry about it,’ and then they arrest me.

As AP News warned, governors are using COVID-19 to further their political ambitions and help them win re-election.

“Now governors have been finding a way to introduce themselves, both politically and personally. Society won’t be the same for a long time after this, and that includes our politics,” Republican strategist John Weaver said. “I think you’ll see a rise of governors at the top of everyone’s mind when we get to that point in four years, there’s no doubt about it.”

If ever there was a reason to question political motives during COVID-19, I give you Sleepy Hollow.  The same village made famous for people being afraid of a headless horseman are now petrified of leaf blowers.

The Village of Sleepy Hollow is temporarily banning the use of leaf blowers to make sure residents are safe during the coronavirus pandemic. Village officials say since the virus is a respiratory condition, having things blown into the air could create a hazmat situation.

Talking about absurd COVID-19 responses,  the U.S. Department of Justice wants to give U.S. law enforcement the power to detain people indefinitely during an emergency.

The Justice Department has quietly asked Congress for the ability to ask chief judges to detain people indefinitely without trial during emergencies — part of a push for new powers that comes as the novel coronavirus spreads throughout the United States.

The Executive Director of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL) is “terrified” that police could hold people indefinitely for ignoring stay-at-home orders.

“So that means you could be arrested and never brought before a judge until they decide that the emergency or the civil disobedience is over. I find it absolutely terrifying. Especially in a time of emergency, we should be very careful about granting new powers to the government,” Norman L. Reimer, executive director of the NACDL said.

As Megan Fox from PJ Media said,

Someone has to stand up to the unconstitutional directives that are being handed down daily by government officials and it will fall on the sheriffs to uphold what they know to be their legal and lawful duties, none of which involve trampling the rights of citizens.

We must remain vigilant and demand that the measures taken to stop COVID-19 are only temporary or we risk living in a country that suspends our Constitutional rights whenever they deem it necessary.

Let’s Make This Simple: Zoom Is Malware

Let’s Make This Simple: Zoom Is Malware

Submitted by Mark Jeftovic, founder of EasyDNS

We’ve covered Zoom in these pages before.  Back in #AxisOfEasy 104 it turned out that the Zoom installer was installing mini-web servers on your computer, and it wasn’t even taking them off when you uninstalled Zoom, leaving your device open to all manner of vulnerability.  It took Apple acting on its own to push out an unscheduled update to fix Zoom’s problem before they got to it.

Last week we outlined how Zoom was sending telemetry data about you to Facebook, even if you don’t have a Facebook account.

In the intervening week, all sorts of data points and news items came out about the (lack of) privacy issues with Zoom:

  • On April 1st, a (former NSA) hacker released two new Zoom 0-days that enable a hacker with local access to a Zoom session to take over the software to install malware.

  • The next day Krebs on Security reported on the fast spreading "Zoom Bombing" phenomenon where pranksters and miscreants were war dialing Zoom rooms, looking for ones without password protections and crashing the meetings, hurling insults and profanities at the participants.

  • It gets worse, turns out Zoom Bombing is a thing now, so the perpetrators are recording videos of their antics and releasing them on Tik Tok and who knows where else.

  • On the very next day (the cat came back….) it emerged that because of the naming scheme Zoom uses to create the files of video recordings participants make of their sessions, those records were easy to find and access on the web.

  • Toronto’s Citizen Lab reverse engineered the Zoom client and found that they had "rolled their own encryption scheme" and that it’s pretty lousy encryption. Their report is here.

  • Arvind Narayanan, a professor of Computer Science at Princeton distilled it down thusly, "Let’s make this simple: Zoom is Malware"

All of which has culminated in at least two US states Attorney Generals (so far) launching investigations into Zoom’s privacy protections (or lack thereof).

Here at easyDNS we are working to facilitate video conferencing and remote collaboration tools for you and your teams and families.  We’re relying on open source tools like Matrix and Jitsi that use peer reviewed, publicly accepted encryption techniques and will seek to put the data under your control and nobody else’s.  Watch this space.

HUGE! MN Senator and Dr. Reveals HHS Document Coaching Him on How to Overcount COVID-19 Cases — WITH COPY OF DOCUMENT (VIDEO)

Dr. Scott Jensen, a Minnesota physician and Republican state senator said he received a 7-page document coaching him to fill out death certificates with a COVID-19 diagnosis without a lab test to confirm the patient actually had the virus.

“Last Friday I received a 7-page document that told me if I had an 86-year-old patient that had pneumonia but was never tested for COVID-19 but some time after she came down with pneumonia we learned that she had been exposed to her son who had no symptoms but later on was identified with COVID-19, then it would be appropriate to diagnose on the death certificate COVID-19,” Dr. Scott Jensen said.

Dr. Jensen explained that this is not a normal procedure.

Dr.. Jensen said for example if the same patient had pneumonia during flu season and he didn’t have a test confirming the patient also had influenza, he would never diagnose the patient with influenza on the death certificate.

US HHS Document to Doctors … by Jim Hoft on Scribd

As TGP reported over the weekend, the amount of Americans who are reported to have died from the Coronavirus is based on a CDC coding system that will “result in COVID-19 being the underlying cause more often than not.”

Dr. Birx confirmed this on Tuesday during a COVID-19 task force briefing.

A new ICD code was established to keep track of Coronavirus deaths.

The U07.1 code will be used for death by Coronavirus infection.

However, there’s another secondary code, U07.2, “for clinical or epidemiological diagnosis of COVID-19 where a laboratory confirmation is inconclusive or not available,” the CDC guidelines read.

“The underlying cause depends upon what and where conditions are reported on the death certificate. However, the rules for coding and selection of the underlying cause of death are expected to result in COVID- 19 being the underlying cause more often than not,” the guidelines read.

Dr. Birx on Tuesday told a reporter during a Coronavirus task force briefing, “We’ve taken a very liberal approach to mortality.”

“Can you talk about your concerns about deaths being misreported by Coronavirus because of either testing or standards for how they are characterized?” the reporter asked Birx.

“If someone dies with COVID-19, we are counting that as a COVID-19 death,” Birx said.

There is a big difference between dying with the virus and from the virus.

This Is Strange: Total US Deaths in March 2020 are Actually Down 15% from Average of Prior Four Years

What is going on?  After shutting down the government and killing the greatest economy in the world due to deathly estimates from specialists on the coronavirus, the data is showing that this may be one great big mistake or hoax.

Grassfire reports:

According to data obtained from the CDC’s National Center for Health Statistics Mortality Surveillance System website, total U.S. deaths for the first three weeks of March are DOWN 10% from the average of the prior four years for the same three week period.

The average for weeks 9 through 11 for the four prior years was a total of 170,555 deaths. For weeks 9 through 11 this year, the total is 153,015, meaning 17,540 fewer people died in America during the first three weeks of March than could be reasonably expected. And the gap between historic deaths and weekly deaths is widening. For week 11, just 47,655 Americans died, 8,773 and 15% fewer than the average for week 11 in the prior four years. And while data on week 12 is not complete, it is trending similar to week 11 and will likely be down by 15% (around 8,700 deaths less than expected) even though 1,919 COVID-19 deaths were reported (in week beginning 3/22).

Now after deaths for the entire month of March are reported, the results show that deaths in the US this March are 15% less than the average of the past four years!

IN MARCH OF 2020 THERE WERE 34,000 (rounded) LESS DEATHS THAN THE AVERAGE NUMBER OF DEATHS IN THE US OVER THE FOUR YEARS PRIOR!

According to the CDC’s website, in March 2020 there were a total of 193,000 deaths in the US.  The average number of deaths in the US for March over the four years prior to 2020 (2016 – 2019) is 227,000.  The difference between this year and the average for the past four years is 34,000.  2020 deaths are 85% of the average of the prior four years.

The US is experiencing 34,000 less deaths in 2020 than in the prior four years but we are concerned about a virus that to date as of March 31, 2020 that had a total of 4,000 US deaths?  What is really going on and who is responsible for the broken estimates and consistent messaging in the President’s ear to shut down the US economy?

More People Died Of Suicide Last Week In Tennessee Than COVID-19

More People Died Of Suicide Last Week In Tennessee Than COVID-19

Authored by Mac Slavo via SHTFplan.com,

As we previously warned, this pandemic will bankrupt and kill more people from suicide than the virus will. When you sacrifice people’s livelihoods, you create a difficult situation of desperation for many who will see no other way out.

We are about to have a mental health crisis during an economic depression that will be tough to live through.  The virus is no longer the problem.  The government’s reaction has been the problem and even some politicians have figured it out. Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs revealed in a weekly update that our solution to this pandemic has not been a good one.

“Thus far, our reaction to COVID-19 has been to sacrifice the global economy,” said Jacobs.

“The truth is: a sick economy produces sick people.”

Most people don’t want to hear the truth, unfortunately, and the longer state governments insist on businesses being closed and an economy shut down to combat what’s looking like a fairly insignificant virus for most of the population, the aftermath will worsen.  Each day that drags on will make the next few years more difficult.

“Last year, our medical examiner performed autopsies for 199 confirmed or suspected suicides from across the region, with 83 of those coming from Knox County. Over the past 48 hours, that office has now examined nine suspected suicides, eight of which are from Knox County alone. For Knox County, that’s almost ten percent of last year’s total number in the past two days alone,” Jacobs added.

We’ve said it before and it needs to be said again, we should no longer be preparing for a pandemic, but social unrest, violence, and economic depression. The longer the economy is shut down, the more horrific the future social unrest will be. Jacobs is questioning the tyrannical measures and authoritarian power grabs by politicians.

Jacobs called the suicide numbers “utterly shocking” and said he is questioning if the government is taking the right approach in responding to COVID-19. “Is what we are doing now really the best approach? How can we respond to COVID-19 in a way that keeps our economy intact, keeps people employed, and empowers our people with a feeling of hope and optimism, not desperation and despair?” he said.

“That’s startling and disturbing and really, really challenging to think about how some of the things we have to do as a community right now could be contributing to these things,” she said.

“The more important message today that I want to deliver is that now more than ever we need to be kinder and gentler with ourselves and with each other. If there’s anybody out there who’s struggling, I encourage you to reach out.”

We want to thank Jacobs for standing up against all the other tyrants out there using this virus as an excuse to commit economic suicide and impoverish millions of people. Now let’s face reality: it’s time to reopen the economy and salvage what’s left if we can.  The longer this drags on, the direr our situation becomes.

Fauci now is part of the problem, not part of the solution

The South Korean solution to the COVID-19 virus (widespread testing and the hydroxychloroquine-zinc cure) is beginning to work in the United States. Americans, like South Koreans, will soon be back at work and school. But at Monday’s Coronavirus Task Force press briefing, Dr. Anthony Fauci ignored the success.

Instead, he pretended that the only way the U.S. could get back to normal was through vaccines and new therapies. He was responding to a question directed to him, and him only, by reporter Jonathan Karl at the 37:37 mark of this video:

YouTube screen grab (croppped)

Karl: Will we truly get back to normal before there’s a vaccine available to everybody?…

Fauci: … I believe with the therapies that will be coming online, with the fact that I feel confident that over a period of time we will get a good vaccine, that we will never have to get back to where we are right now. So, if that means getting back to normal, then we’ll get back to normal.

Fauci was being disingenuous. His own organization NIAID (one of the institutes of NIH) is slow walking both therapies and vaccines. For example, NIAID is currently conducting a study on the effectiveness of Remdesivir, a drug which, along with chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine, proved effective against COVID-19 in the Chinese test-tube studies. Here’s NIAID’s schedule for completing Phase 3 of its approval process:

  • Actual Study Start Date: February 2, 2020
  • Estimated Primary Completion Date: April 1, 2023
  • Estimated Study Completion Date: April 1, 2023

Believe it or not, that is not a misprint! Fauci was touting new therapies even while his own organization was slow walking the most promising of them so that it would not be ready until 2023!

The same is true of vaccines. NIAID and NIH as a whole have taken charge over approving vaccines for COVID-19. Two American vaccines have already begun their Phase 1 clinical trials (by Moderna and Inovio Pharmaceuticals), one is set to begin in April (Pfizer/BioNTech), and at least four report that they will be ready for clinical trials within a few months (Novavax, CureVac, University of Pittsburgh and Johnson and Johnson). America’s businesses and researchers have done their part to get out a vaccine right away.

Yet Fauci has repeatedly claimed that no vaccine could possibly be approved in less than “a year to a year and a half.” The first time he said this, he was directly contradicting President Trump who expected a vaccine much sooner.

In contrast, after the H1N1 (swine flu) epidemic hit in April 2009, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) expedited approval of vaccines. Five months later, on September 15 2009, four different vaccines were approved. Why should approval take over a year this time but only 5 months in 2009? Apparently, NIH is planning to slow walk the COVID-19 vaccines through the usual approval process, which requires three sequential phases:

  1. Clinical Trials. The clinical trials establish whether the vaccine is safe and whether it creates the antibodies necessary to defend the human body against the disease.
  2. Studies. Their purpose is ”to identify the vaccine preparation, optimal dose, and schedule” and to “assess the impact of multiple variables on immune response, such as age, ethnicity, gender, and presence of maternal or pre-existing antibodies (in infants).”
  3. Field Trials. Their purpose is “to assess the effect of the final formulation. These trials are typically designed to evaluate efficacy and safety. Vaccine Efficacy (VE) is defined as the percent reduction in incidence (of disease or infection) among the vaccinated.”

The CDC expedited the vaccine process in 2009 and got it done in just 5 months. But Fauci’s NIH is in charge of this one, and Fauci says that it can’t be done in less than 12 to 18 months. Fauci is part of the problem, not part of the solution.

Andrew Cuomo: Use of Hydroxychloroquine ‘Anecdotally’ Positive in New York Hospitals

The use of hydroxychloroquine has been “anecdotally” positive for patients with the coronavirus, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said during a press briefing Monday.

At the briefing, the governor noted that the antimalarial drug had reportedly helped many people infected with the disease, but official scientific data was yet to come:

Cuomo stated:

There are a lot of people who are relying on this, who were relying on it. People with lupus, etc. The tests in the hospital, they won’t say that they are… they’re too short a period of time to get a scientific report. You know, hospital administrators, doctors, want to give… have a significant data set before they give a formal opinion. Anecdotally, you’ll get suggestions that it has been effective, but we don’t have any official data yet from a hospital, or a quote unquote study, which will take weeks if not months before you get an official study.

There has been anecdotal evidence that it is promising, that’s why we’re going ahead. The federal government had promised to increase the supply of the drug, which would allow New York to lift its 14-day limit on how much people could buy, according to the governor.

“We’ve allowed usage of the hydroxychloroquine with the Zithromax packs in hospitals at their discretion. The federal government is going to increase the supply to New York pharmacies,” he explained.

Monday, a Democrat state representative from Detroit, Michigan, credited the antimalarial drug and President Trump for saving her life during her recent battle with the coronavirus.

Rep. Karen Whitsett began taking hydroxychloroquine after her doctor prescribed it to her on March 31. She said relief came “less than two hours” after starting the treatment.

Whitsett noted that she was familiar with the drug because of her previous battle with Lyme disease and added that she would never have thought to ask for the drug if the president had not touted its benefits.

“It has a lot to do with the president … bringing it up. He is the only person who has the power to make it a priority,” she commented.

Sunday during a White House press briefing, President Trump defended his continued push for doctors to prescribe hydroxychloroquine to coronavirus patients despite criticism from the media.

“I’m trying to save lives,” he said, adding, “If it doesn’t work, it’s nothing lost by doing it. Nothing.”
