AG Barr: We Have Evidence Antifa Participating in Violent Activity (VIDEO)

US Attorney General Bill Barr delivered remarks on the protests, looting and rioting taking place across the nation.

A brief tally of just a fraction of the destruction caused by far left radical groups such as Antifa and Black Lives Matter: 21 courthouses damaged, Lincoln Memorial defaced, Korean War Memorial defaced, WWII Monument defaced, buildings burned in Los Angeles, tens of millions of damage in NYC.

Barr said the Justice Department has evidence Antifa and other extremist groups have been involved in violent activity.

But how could this be? The mainstream media said Antifa doesn’t exist!

“We have evidence that Antifa and other similar extremist groups as well as actors of a variety of different political persuasions have been involved in instigating and participating in the violent activity. We are also seeing foreign actors playing all sides to exacerbate the violence,” said Barr.

WAYNE ROOT: Mr. President, It’s Time to Investigate George Soros for Funding Domestic Terrorism

Mr. President, you’ve taken step one: Declaring Antifa a domestic terrorist organization. That was a brilliant move. Now it’s time for step number two: Cut the head off the snake. We’ve got to move to aggressively cut off the funding of domestic terrorism.

Those who provide funding are terrorists themselves. Who is providing the funding? There are many suspects. Suspect number one is globalist billionaire George Soros and his Open Society Foundation. It starts there.

Is Soros guilty? That’s way above my pay grade. That’s why we need a global investigation. And indictments and a trial.

I’m sure there are many other millionaire and billionaire socialists and globalists involved. It’s time to make them sweat. It’s time to make them run for their lives. If found guilty, it’s time to freeze their assets and hunt them down.

My fellow Americans, we are at war. We must face it head on. The evil globalist and socialist elites are out to bring down and destroy America.

Their political arm is the Democrat Party.

Their propaganda arm is mainstream media and social media.

Their funding arm is Hollywood and Silicon Valley billionaire elites.

Their brainwashing arm is made up of millions of Marxist public school teachers and college professors.

And, as we are now seeing on the streets of US cities, their military arm is Antifa.

There’s no need to question what’s happening. You can see it with your own eyes. This nationwide rioting, looting, burning and attacks on police, is all clearly coordinated by allies of the Democrat Party: Socialists, Marxists, communists, globalists, radical extreme open borders madmen. They are the world’s most evil people, who hate everything the USA stands for. And they are carrying out a detailed plan of domestic terrorism.

I learned this plan at Columbia U with my classmate Barack Obama. It was called “Cloward-Piven” (named after a husband/wife team of Columbia professors). All the wealthy elitist kids I met at Columbia believed in this plan. They all bragged about being socialists and communists. They hated America, hated capitalism, hated business owners, and perhaps most of all, they hated white people.

Psychologist Sigmund Freud would have a field day with these vicious, mentally-ill, intellectual, self-hating liberals. Because they were all the things they hated. My classmates were white, rich, the children of wealthy business owners.

And my classmates repeated over and over again, they wanted to overwhelm the U.S. economic system, bankrupt the wealthy, close all the businesses, and burn it all down.

Look around. It’s happening. First with the lockdown and closure of the US economy because of media hype, hysteria and over-exaggeration about the Covid-19 pandemic.

And when that didn’t finish the job, they moved to Plan B: Riots, unrest, looting, torching, assault, and even murder to finish the job.

There’s no need to debate. It’s all happening in front of our eyes. We are at war.

It’s no accident that Democrat Governors and Mayors are the ones fighting the hardest to keep the economy closed.

It’s no accident that Antifa thugs are showing up with bricks and Molotov cocktails to lead riots and burn cities on the very week many businesses were set to reopen.

This is no amateur hour. This was planned, organized, coordinated and funded by our enemies. Thugs are being bussed and flown into big cities to lead riots. Their weapons have been delivered to protest sites ahead of time.

And where did all the violent thugs and hooligans come from? The liberal DA’s and liberal sheriffs (put in place in many cases by the funding of George Soros and others like him) let the felons out of prison. Those are the scum looting and torching.

Someone is paying for all of this. It’s time to take aggressive action to prove who it is.

Here is a plan Mr. President to stop the unrest and end the crisis.

1. Cut the head off the snake. Just like the battle against Islamic terrorism, follow the money. Order a worldwide investigation by the DOJ/FBI/CIA into the funding of domestic terrorism. Suspect number one has to be George Soros and his Open Society Foundation. But there are many more wealthy globalists and socialists involved. I’d look into the Clinton Foundation too.

2. Sign an Executive Order doubling or tripling prison sentences for any felony committed during riots or unrest. These are “hate crimes.“ These offenses deserve special harsh punishment under the umbrella of “domestic terrorism.”

3. Bring in the National Guard when circumstances warrant, with or without the approval of Democrat Governors. A brave young police officer was shot in the head during a Black Lives Matter protest here in Las Vegas on Monday night.

He is in grave condition, on life support. He might very well be home healthy, with his family, if National Guard had been on the streets that night, backing up police. We can’t afford to wait for Democrat Governors to act.

4. Don’t stop with the investigation of George Soros and other potential funders of domestic terrorism. Investigate Democrat Governors and members of Congress with ties to Antifa. They are doing the bidding of domestic terrorists and enemies of our country.

5. Intercept all those piles of bricks left by Antifa at protest sites across the USA, load them on trucks, drive them to the Mexican border, and use those bricks to build our wall. That’s turning lemons into lemonade!

WE ARE AT WAR. It’s time to take aggressive action. And it’s time to pick a side. You are either for “Making America Great Again”…or you are against it. If you’re against it, you are an enemy of America.

150 Firearms Stolen From Albuquerque Gun Shop During Looting

A gun store in Albuquerque, New Mexico, was targeted during the riots and looting that have gripped the country. Federal and local authorities are investigating the heist, in which 150 total firearms were stolen. The shop’s power was severed beforehand, cutting power to the security cameras.

The Albuquerque journal reports:

The break-in and theft of 115 pistols and 35 rifles of “various models and calibers” happened around 2:30 a.m. at JCT Firearms on Old Coors, just south of Central, according to a news release from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

“It’s a significant amount of guns that were taken out of there, obviously in the hands of criminals,” ATF spokesman Tom Mangan said Wednesday, adding that no arrests have been made and no guns have been recovered.

The federal agency is stepping in to help Albuquerque police track down the people involved and get back the firearms. The ATF and National Shooting Sports Foundation are offering a joint reward of $10,000 for information about the crime.

In fact, he said the thieves showed a “level of sophistication” by cutting the power line beforehand, disabling the alarms and security cameras.

He said the serial numbers from all the guns have been entered into the National Crime Information Center database in the hope they turn up sooner or later.

Perhaps gun shop owners across the country should take matters into their own hands, and have an active presence outside of their businesses.

Or maybe the ATF can just call this Faster & Furiouser.

Watch: Rioters Turn on Virtue-Signaling White Guys as They Yell ‘We’re on Your Side’

When a rioter breaks your window and you tell them that you’re on their side, what side are you really on?

I don’t necessarily ask that rhetorically, because I’m genuinely curious what a group of viral partiers thought they were endorsing when members of a passing demonstration threw rocks through their window.

Neither the place nor the people are identified in the clip, which gained widespread notoriety when it was tweeted by conservative filmmaker Ami Horowitz. While it’s difficult, therefore, to fully vouch for its provenance, it’d likely be difficult to fake for reasons that’ll quickly become clear.

The setup: Several individuals, all apparently male, all apparently white, are having some kind of party. A few floors below, a steady stream of protesters pass on the road.

The person recording can be seen giving the thumbs-up sign to the protesters. Less than a second later, a projectile comes crashing through the adjacent window. The thumb goes down.

“We’re on your side!” one of our woke protagonists yells.

Another projectile crashes through the other window.

WARNING: The following video contains graphic language that some viewers will find offensive.

“Holy s—! We’re on your side!” our bro friend shouts, apparently now sufficiently distracted from what appears to be a game of beer pong in progress. “We’re on your f—ing side! What the f—?”

There’s a certain subset of viral clips to have emerged from the riots that have an aspect of gallows humor to them. Yes, there’s a grim laugh to be had when the tenuous inanities we’ve been sold about the nature of the protests and how one can be an effective activist or ally go poof.

The incredulity of our virtue-signaling Chads that their windows got broken by protesters with whom they felt themselves aligned certainly qualifies for a bad laugh, yes. But it goes deeper.

“Holy s—! We’re on your side!” Whose side? And for what purposes?

People have the right to peaceably assemble and demonstrate for a redress of their concerns.

This is another grim irony of the matter: Conservatives were saying this several weeks ago while exercising those rights and, because we exercised those rights, we were branded as retrograde bigots who were killing grandma. (It’s worth pointing out yet again that the nature of the novel coronavirus hasn’t changed in the interim, just the motivating factor behind the respective protests. But I digress.)

Every single one of those protesters had, under the First Amendment, the right to be out on the streets provided there was no imminent danger to life, limb or property being caused by any element of the protest. Was this what these woke young men were cheering on?

Not really. Notice whose “side” they were on: that of the individual or individuals who threw projectiles through their windows.

The cri de coeur from our party bro wasn’t: “Why are you destroying property?”

Instead, it was: “Why are you destroying our property?”

Yes, this happened quickly enough that it almost could have been a TikTok video. I suppose the person doing the virtue signaling here didn’t have the time to think about the words coming out of his mouth. That said, the first thing that came to his mind says a great deal about his mindset.

It’s fair to say that, at least on the part of whoever destroyed these windows, this demonstration wasn’t about keeping the memory of George Floyd alive, holding those responsible for his death accountable and calling for policy changes that reduce the chances of police brutality. Bricks and rocks don’t accomplish that.

Should police do more to stop violent protests?

Some individuals, however, have come to conflate the two.

Others seem to pooh-pooh the property damage because it’s a minority of protesters. This may indeed be true, but what do you think a shiny-object news media is going to give more play to?

Time after time, we see an anchor assuring us just how peaceful these protests are — quite often in front of a burnt-out family business or the charred shell of a police cruiser. We know what they’re there for, and it’s not to soak in the peacefulness.

At this point, it’s rather moot to argue over whether cities could or should have taken control of the situation. To recycle a metaphor, it seems we’ve bent the curve on violent protests; while some still remain, the damage has been done and the moment for civic authorities to take control has passed. At least, unfortunately, that’s the best we can hope for at this point.

Arguing over what should have been done to effectively maintain control is sadly academic. The only thing we should be talking about is how, in all of this, we’ve lost sight of the reason for the protests in the first place.

However, let this video be a reminder of the kind of woke mindset that excused so much lawlessness.

As long as the property-destroying type of protester remained in the abstract for this gentleman, he was just fine with it. Once it became more concrete, he wasn’t quite as cool with it.

As for getting justice for George Floyd — well, who’s he again?

Trump Hammers Back After Mattis’ Appalling Statement on Protests, Rioters

When former Defense Secretary James Mattis declared a war of words Wednesday on the president he once served, he had to know he was in for a fight.

But he might not have realized how hot it was going to get.

In a Twitter post late Wednesday, President Donald Trump showed how big a fight it was going to be.

“Probably the only thing Barack Obama & I have in common is that we both had the honor of firing Jim Mattis, the world’s most overrated General. I asked for his letter of resignation, & felt great about it,” Trump wrote.

“I didn’t like his ‘leadership’ style or much else about him, and many others agree. Glad he is gone!”

Trump was reacting to a lengthy statement from Mattis published by the liberal magazine The Atlantic on Wednesday, in which the retired secretary of state and former Marine general attacked Trump’s visit Monday to St. John’s Episcopal Church in Washington – a historic site that had been damaged by fires apparently set by rioters across the street from the White House Sunday night.

In the statement, Mattis, who has publicly feuded with Trump since the president pushed him out of the White House earlier than expected, savaged Trump’s performance in the face of nationwide chaos ostensibly ignited by outrage over the May 25 death of a Minneapolis man in police custody. (What looting an Autozone in Los Angeles has to do with the death of George Floyd in Minnesota is apparently something only liberals can understand.)

“I have watched this week’s unfolding events, angry and appalled,” Mattis wrote.

Mattis claimed Trump is “militarizing” the government’s response to the protests – as though hordes of rioters destroying once-prosperous shopping districts, untold millions of property, and individual American dreams did not constitute a danger to the country deserving of a strong response.

Quoting James Madison, he implicitly accused Trump of violating the Constitution, and drew a tacit comparison between the Trump administration and the Nazi regime of World War II Germany.

White House press secretary spoke for the rest of the administration — and countless millions of Americans sickened by the events of the past week — when she branded Mattis’ statement the nonsense it was.

Mattis might claim to be “appalled,” but his statement was appalling – in its reasoning and its conclusions.

“Donald Trump is the first president in my lifetime who does not try to unite the American people—does not even pretend to try. Instead he tries to divide us. We are witnessing the consequences of three years of this deliberate effort,” Mattis wrote. “We are witnessing the consequences of three years without mature leadership. We can unite without him, drawing on the strengths inherent in our civil society. This will not be easy, as the past few days have shown, but we owe it to our fellow citizens; to past generations that bled to defend our promise; and to our children.”

On his radio show Wednesday night, author and talk show host Mark Levin weighed in, and it took Mattis’ statement apart.

“General Mattis in his statement doesn’t say as damn thing about the people who are being harmed by these mobs. Not the police, not the minorities, not all human beings … Not a damn thing,” Levin said.

“He pretends these are peaceable protesters.”

And Levin branded Mattis’ words a disgrace.

“You might want to educate yourself a little bit before you undermine the commander in chief in the middle of an insurrection,” Levin said, addressing the former secretary of state. “What a disgrace.”

As Levin noted, Mattis’ statement will be “celebrated” it will play well in The New York Times and on CNN, two news outlets that despised Mattis’ success against the savages of the Islamic State group. But as arguments go, it’s hard to get much weaker.

Trump is the first president in his memory who doesn’t “unite” Americans?

Maybe Mattis has forgotten the presidency of Barack Obama  — he should remember it, since Obama fired him (and Mattis strongly criticized Obama in a book published last year). Maybe he doesn’t remember that the county was not exactly united behind the socialist transformation Obama and his increasingly dangerous political party tried to foist on the country – and would have succeeded if not for the Republican victory in the House in the 2010 midterms.

Maybe he doesn’t remember the presidency of George W. Bush – the president who spent eight years being attacked as a wannabe dictator by liberals in this country.

It would be just as easy to make the argument that neither of those men “tried” to unite the country but instead tried to “divide” it as the argument could be made about Trump today. It would be easier, actually, because neither of them faced anything like the relentless hostility of the mainstream media and popular culture that Trump has.

And Mattis, who is clearly not stupid, knows it.

The statement an act of intellectual dishonesty that puts a stain on Mattis’ undeniable service to the United States – especially as the secretary of state to the president he now maligns.

The country deserved better from Mattis than this. Trump deserved better from Mattis than this.

And Mattis’ own career of honorable service deserved better.

In one of the biggest fights of his life, he picked the wrong side.

Writer for ‘Progressive Newspaper’ Learns About Riots the Hard Way When Office Gets Destroyed

Leigh Tauss, a writer for the progressive Durham, North Carolina-based alternative newspaper Indy Week, finally knows how it feels to be one of the innocent victims of recent riots after her publication’s Raleigh office was trashed Saturday night.

Violent demonstrations in Raleigh over the weekend left businesses looted and buildings damaged, according to WRAL.

Many in the establishment media tacitly supported the nationwide mayhem as an appropriate response to the death of George Floyd, who died May 25 in Minneapolis after a police officer knelt on his neck for roughly nine minutes during an arrest which quickly went viral.

Tauss, who serves as Raleigh news editor for Indy Weekly, tweeted photos of the publication’s damaged office on Sunday morning. The office’s large plate glass windows had been broken, shattered glass was everywhere and an obscenity had been spray-painted outside for good measure.

“I’m devastated,” she captioned photos of the aftermath. “We are a progressive newspaper. Last night I was inside when the first brick was thrown.”

At least now, maybe Tauss can sympathize with the business owners and police offers who, as the targets of violent outbursts throughout the nation, have been blamed and punished for a death they had nothing to do with.

Her lament is very telling, as she incorrectly assumed that Indy Week’s liberal bonafides should protect it from the vandals, as if the people smashing windows and stealing merchandise have more than a tenuous connection to the issue they’re supposedly protesting.

If that were true, Indy Week would certainly be passed over, as even in the immediate aftermath of the attack on their office, an article Tauss co-wrote insinuated that police inappropriately used tear gas on protesters.

In an article published Wednesday, the publication went on to explicitly blame Raleigh police for the violence in the city.

Tauss needs to realize there is no appeasing or making friends with marauders who are fueled by anger and emboldened by a mob mentality.

What’s more troubling about her Twitter statement, however, is her implication that the publication deserved to be spared for its viewpoint, which hints at her belief that maybe right-leaning businesses are getting what they deserve. Her ideas are not only wrong, but infuriating to anyone who is watching as American cities senselessly become smoldering war zones.

At least Twitter users would not let her get away with her flawed assumptions, as many replied to her tweet with sarcasm and even sage advice for the misguided journalist:

When other people’s livelihoods and homes literally go up in smoke, progressives such as Tauss are more than happy to defend civil unrest as an outlet for righteous anger — that is, until the destruction finally is turned on them.

It’s funny how rioting, vandalizing and looting are all fun and games when it happens in someone else’s neighborhood.

What Tauss and her progressive comrades in the establishment media need to realize is that out-of-control anger and destruction that erupts amid civil unrest aims to consume anything in its path.

Senseless violence cannot be reasoned with, and needs to be controlled with law and order. Otherwise, miscreants will continue to overrun and destroy indiscriminately.

The time has come to stop the madness and mayhem — not only for the sake of life and property in the targeted cities, but also for the very cause the “protests” ostensibly support.

Actual protesters and their allies in the media need to denounce the violence, because right now, their message is being drowned out by the roar of cities being destroyed.

First Four Facts You Need To Know About Stacey Abrams

Stacey Abrams, a former member of the Georgia House of Representatives, is a potential candidate for Joe Biden’s running mate in the 2020 presidential election. While several news outlets have counted her as a top contender, Abrams herself is the main person tooting her horn.

Aside from a link to Biden, Abrams has mainly gained national attention for two things: her failed gubernatorial campaign and her strong opinions concerning President Donald Trump.

Here are the first four things you need to know about Stacey Abrams:

1. Abrams was a Georgia State Representative

Abrams began her term in the Georgia House of Representatives in 2007 before becoming the minority leader in 2011, according to Ballotpedia. She was the first woman and the first African American to be a caucus leader in the state legislature, according to the Associated Press.

She has commended herself on her personal website for her efforts to stop pro-life legislation and to “strategically to recruit, train, elect, and defend Democrats to prevent a Republican supermajority in the House.”

She remained in the Georgia House of Representatives until 2017. According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, she ultimately left to focus her efforts on her subsequent campaign for governor.

2. Stacey Abrams ran for governor of Georgia in 2018⁠ — and lost

Nearly one year after Abrams left her Georgia House position to focus on her gubernatorial campaign, Abrams won the Democratic primary and became the first African American woman in the U.S. to be nominated for governor by a major party, according to her Fair Fight profile.

Her website brags about endorsements and support from big-name Democrats such as Kamala Harris, Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

In the gubernatorial race, Abrams competed against Trump-backed Republican candidate Brian Kemp. In October 2018, Abrams and Kemp debated on issues including health care, student financial aid and immigrant voting rights.

Kemp ended up winning the election in November 2018 by about 55,000 votes, avoiding a run-off election by 17,000 votes, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Abrams claimed that not all ballots were counted and accused Kemp of voter suppression.

In 2019, she told The New York Times that she still thought she won the election though she had “no empirical evidence” to back up her claims. Abrams said her argument was based on “legally sufficient doubt about the process” and claimed it was not a fair election.

3. Stacey Abrams is now an advocate of “voter protection”

Just a few days after the Georgia gubernatorial election concluded, Abrams announced the launch of Fair Fight Georgia, which she described as “an operation that will pursue accountability in Georgia’s elections and integrity in the process of maintaining our voting rolls.” 

The organization filed a federal lawsuit against interim Secretary of State Robyn Crittenden and state election board members shortly after, according to PBS.

In 2019, Abrams announced that she would not be running for the U.S. Senate, according to the Associated Press, or for president, WXIA-TV reported, and instead would use her time to fight voter suppression. She launched Fair Fight 2020 and became the chair of the organization to take her mission to protect voters nationwide.

“I’m going to use my energies and my very, very loud voice to raise the money we need to train those across the country in our 20 battleground states to make sure Donald Trump and the Senate take a hike, and we put people in place who know what we need to have in the United States of America,” Abrams stated.

4. Stacey Abrams is very vocal about her desire to be Biden’s VP

Since turning down several opportunities to run for state and federal offices in order to fight alleged voter suppression, Abrams has made it more than clear that she wants to be vice president — even though she denounced the idea last year.

However, Abrams changed her mind about being vice president only a few weeks later, telling MSNBC that she would be “open to the conversation” of running alongside the Democratic nominee if she was not the nominee herself.

She admitted that it seems “obnoxious” for her to advertise herself for the position since no one has offered it to her, but it hasn’t stopped her from doing it anyway.

“I would be an excellent running mate,” Abrams told Elle in April. “I have the capacity to attract voters by motivating typically ignored communities. ‘Bernie World’ Melts Down As Staffers Go Public In Sanders Campaign Civil War

Bernie Sanders’ staffers who aren’t on board with the socialist Vermont Senator’s shift to supporting former Vice President-turned-presumptive 2020 Democratic nominee Joe Biden have declared war on those who are, and the battle royale between factions spilled over onto social media over the weekend.

Sanders and his top advisors, Faiz Shakir and Analilia Mejia, are reportedly in the middle of inking a deal with Biden’s team which would preserve Sanders’ delegates but allow for Sanders and his allies to exert influence over the Democratic party platform, according to Politico.

But the tete-a-tete isn’t sitting well with career progressives and former hardcore Sanders’ supporters like David Sirota, who exploded in a rage at Shakir and Meija over the weekend, accusing them of throwing in with so-called Beltway insiders.

“I don’t know who needs to hear this, but many of us don’t want to hear career Beltway political operatives boasting about task forces while this sh*t is going on right now,” Sirota said, referring to ongoing racial unrest — a prime moment for progressives who have been working on the issue for some time. “Jfc — try to be a little less tone-deaf.”

Sanders’ current spokesman, Politico says, responded with a charge of his own: that Sirota, had absconded with confidential campaign documents.

“[D]amn right,” Mike Casca shot back, “real change happens when you steal an email list from the campaign and use it to create your own paid newsletter. why can’t anyone see that? anyway, subscribe if you can.”

It didn’t end there. Casca’s parting shot set off a wave of aggressive Tweets on the part of current Sanders allies, all defending their decision to throw in with more “moderate” Democrats like Biden in an effort to be part of a larger coalition charged with defeating President Donald Trump in November.

“I hate engaging, but this is ridiculous,” Shakir wrote on Twitter in response to charges he was selling out to Biden’s team. “Trump’s gassing protesters, but I’m the real enemy. For what? Trying with every fiber of my being to get Bernie elected but coming in 2nd. And then trying to get the 1st place finisher to move in a progressive direction and defeat Trump.”

That coalition has yielded some results for Sanders — or, at least, better results for Sanders this time around than in 2016, when his refusal to get on board with the Hillary Clinton for President campaign left progressives shut out of the platform and convention.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), a key Sanders surrogate, is on Biden’s environmental policy team, and Biden is reportedly considering publicly backing her “Green New Deal.” Sanders, who may have been out of the headlines altogether by this point in the nomination process, is being tapped to help flesh out the Biden campaign’s platform on income inequality.

But the battle for Sanders continues.

TOTO: Stars Bail Out Protesters, Silent On Helping Victims

Celebrities couldn’t wait to bail out protesters who helped turn the Twin Cities into a war zone.

The May 25 death of Minnesota resident George Floyd set off a wave of protests which quickly turned violent across the country. Just as quickly Hollywood stars praised the protests, some even cheering the violence that came with them.

Other stars took it one step further.

They opened their wallets and purses for the Minnesota Freedom Fund. The nonprofit helps pay bail for low-income citizens. Among the stars who publicly announced they sent money to the Fund:

  • Steve Carell, “Space Force,” “The Office”
  • Seth Rogen, “Knocked Up,” “The Interview”
  • Jameela Jamil, “The Good Place”
  • Ben Schwartz, “Standing Up, Falling Down,” “Space Force”
  • Patton Oswalt, “Ratatouille,” “The Goldbergs”
  • Janelle Monae, Amazon’s “Homecoming” Season Two
  • Rob Delaney, “Catastrophe,” “Deadpool 2”
  • Don Cheadle, “Avengers: Infinity War,” “Black Monday”

We reached out to these eight stars via their managers and press representatives. The site sent the following two questions to each, hoping for at least a prepared statement, if not a brief interview, on the subject.

  • Is Mr./Ms. [Fill-In-The-Blank] concerned that some of his/her donation could help protesters who committed violence/helped destroy part of the greater Minneapolis community?
  • Will Mr./Ms. [Fill-In-The-Blank] be donating any money to either personal GoFundMe pages or groups attempting to rebuild the minority-owned businesses destroyed by the protests?

The representatives had more than 24 hours to respond to the requests. The majority failed to do so.

Monae’s team shared this response: “Janelle is not available, but we appreciate you thinking of her.”

Rogen’s team’s response? “Unfortunately, he is not available to participate.”

It’s possible these stars will be giving some aid to innocents impacted by the riots. It’s equally likely that stand isn’t popular in Hollywood circles, or at least it’s not advisable to share on social media.

Another perspective? They have no plans to support those left to rebuild their businesses, and lives, from the ground up. Since the riots began, several GoFundMe pages have gone up to help those who lost so much in the mayhem.

Others may not be so lucky.

What’s beyond debate is the assembled stars don’t mind paying bail for some rioters. Police officers nationwide have let peaceful protesters mostly have their say. Some were arrested, but the majority of those ending up in the slammer are likely those committing crimes.

Arson. Theft. Aggravated assault.

Just recently, two lawyers were arrested on charges that they threw a Molotov cocktail “in the vicinity” of a police vehicle in New York City. Consider the case of Brian Bartels, a man accused of sparking a riot in Pittsburgh by smashing a police car’s windows against the wishes of peaceful protesters.

The right-leaning Accuracy in Media (AIM) asked “liberty-loving Americans” to “hold the Hollywood elites accountable.” Email the stars’ “agents, managers, and PR people,” the group demanded.

“It’s easy for the actors to sit in their lofty mansions in Beverly Hills and post bail for looters. They’re so far removed in their bubble that the idea of consequences is lost on them. Meanwhile, ordinary Americans already suffering from a pandemic now have to face the very real prospect of losing their business to a gang of Antifa thugs!” said Adam Guillette, President of Accuracy In Media, in a statement. “As our cities burn, the criminals know an arrest is temporary. Once they’re bailed out, they can get back on the street and continue their destruction the next evening.”

On “The Anthony Cumia Show,” co-host Dave Landau excoriated Seth Rogen and company for their stance.

“You have celebrities going, ‘let’s donate money to get people out of jail who just bashed an old lady’s head in.’ How about we donate money to the black firefighter whose bar was burned down in Minneapolis?” he said.

“How about all the black elderly women and men that can’t get groceries now? Can you donate money to them?” Landau asked.

Conservative podcaster and former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino blistered the aforementioned stars.

“The celebrity morons and epic life losers who think it’s a good idea to start a bail fund to bail out people slitting the throats of cops, engaging in attempted murder on the streets of Dallas, and beating the snot out of a guy in the streets of Portland, you disgust me,” he said.
