Report: Trump’s Visa Suspension to Drive Up Wages for U.S. Professionals

President Trump’s suspension of various visa programs and regulatory reforms is set to give American workers newly found leverage in the job market, a report details.

The banking and technology industry, Sarah Butcher reports for efinancialcareers.com, may go into “bidding wars” to fight for American workers at higher wages and better benefits thanks to Trump’s suspension of the H-1B, H-4, H-2B, J-1, and L visas.

Trump has also implemented vital regulatory reforms to the H-1B visa to prevent corporations from using the program to outsource cheap tech jobs to imported foreign workers.

The visa suspension and reforms, Butcher reports, are likely to force up U.S. wages and create a workers’ job market where employers bid for employees, not the other way around.

Butcher reports:

Now that banks and technology firms can’t bring in talented juniors from overseas on H1B immigration visas any more, the risk of bidding wars for top talent in the U.S. has increased. Banks in particular may find it necessary to put more money on the table. [Emphasis added]

This could be problematic. Even though hiring has fallen off due to the coronavirus pandemic, headhunters say demand has remained strong for elite candidates in technology and finance. Traditionally, employers in both sectors have been able to fish in a wider global sea and use H1B visas as necessary. [Emphasis added]

With H1B visas out of the picture, something has to give. Initially, that something is likely to be pay at banks, which will need to be competitive to win students back from technology firms. However, over time technology firms are likely to hike pay too. It’s good news if you’re the sort of highly technical U.S. student everyone wants to hire now. It’s less good news if you’re a large organisation competing for what has become a far smaller pool of talent. [Emphasis added]

There are about 650,000 H-1B visa foreign workers in the U.S. at any given moment. Americans are often laid off in the process and forced to train their foreign replacements, as highlighted by Breitbart News. More than 85,000 Americans annually potentially lose their jobs to foreign labor through the H-1B visa program.

Today, there is no shortage of qualified American workers to fill U.S. jobs. The Chinese coronavirus has spurred mass unemployment, with more than 35 million unemployed and underemployed Americans, all of whom want full-time jobs.

Trump’s plan reducing foreign competition against American workers is supported by a majority of likely voters. Overall, 54 percent of all likely voters said there are no jobs Americans will not do and thus importing foreign workers is not necessary — including 65 percent of black Americans, 70 percent of Republicans, 52 percent of swing voters, and 60 percent of the working poor.

Every year, the U.S. admits about 1.2 million legal immigrants on green cards to permanently resettle in the country. In addition, another 1.4 million foreign workers are admitted every year to take American jobs.

California’s Gavin Newsom orders wineries shut, keeps his own open

It is good to be PlumpJack.

That’s the name of California Gov. Newsom’s winery, founded by Newsom himself and his good friend Gordon Getty. And by a wild coincidence, PlumpJack’s somehow exempt from shutdown based on the accident of its location, tony Napa county, which is exempt from Newsom’s latest order to shut down.

Others, not so much. According to Fox26:

FRESNO, Calif. — Gov. Gavin Newsom ordered the closures of certain businesses across 19 counties in California Wednesday, in response to the growing daily number of novel coronavirus cases (COVID-19) in recent weeks. Those counties included Fresno, Kern, Kings, Merced and Tulare in the Central Valley.

The closures included restaurants, wineries and tasting rooms, movie theaters, family entertainment centers, zoos and museums, cardrooms, and bars. Gov. Newsom’s winery and tasting room in Napa Valley remained open as of the July 1, 2020 order.

Not so lucky are the big wineries, the E & J Gallo operations, including its huge operation in Livingston, California, the world’s biggest — Gallo’s had the unlucky accident of being situated in Merced County, in the state’s center and on the shutdown list. Its vast winery and wine-tasting rooms are closed. Its workers will likely be laid off. Too bad about that. Maybe PlumpJack can buy up the pieces once the post-bankruptcy fire sale is on.

Newsom justified the entire thing as part of a county formula – Napa has fewer COVID cases than Merced or any of the other agricultural counties now being essentially death-sentenced. “On monitoring list for 3+ days, new restrictions in place,” so the state’s phrasing goes. For some weird reason, Alameda County was not included in this measure. That might just because billionaire Elon Musk of Tesla fame, threatened to remove his entire Tesla manufacturing operation to a friendlier state if his car operations were not permitted to open. Alameda, which includes Oakland, is a county where you can bet the COVID caseload is big and were it not on this ‘no attestation and not on the monitoring list, the county would otherwise be shut down. More to the point, it suggests the shutdown list might just be more about political considerations than public health.

Which highlights that the problem with these shutdowns is unequal treatment. Huge industries are either being offered a bonanza new market or else a death sentences based on their locations. The blanket shutdown lumps in every business and every community. A hobo camp located in the middle of farmworker country in the Central Valley might be a locus of new cases but the rest of the county might be largely untouched. Nevertheless, averages – with no consideration as to what is going on or where the infections are coming from - just shut the whole county down.

For the wine industry, this is particularly galling, given the extreme standards of cleanliness that must be practiced to make a good wine, whether one is in wealthy chic Napa or the tumbledown Central Valley.

And locals are noticing, and the matter is trending on Twitter. Here’s a sampling of the local headlines:

Central Valley wineries ordered to close, while Governor’s winery remains open -Fox26

Sour grapes emerge as most Calif. wineries close while Newsom’s winery remains open -San Joaquin Valley Sun

and there were others.

Wine for me, shutdown for thee. And these just happen to be counties which can credibly be called ‘red.’ It’s hard to not think the shutdown is punishment, and virtue-signalling, given the high costs the wineries, as well as all the businesses must pay for this, while others get off scot-free.

If Newsom had any decency, in any case, he’d shut down his own winery in solidarity with the others. It would be the fair thing to do, until he can figure out how to govern sustainably in the time of COVID, as the leftie phrase goes.

Ex-NFL Player, Congressional Candidate Burgess Owens: ‘There Is No Black National Anthem’

Former NFL player and GOP candidate for Congress in Utah Burgess Owens, blasted the National Football League for its decision to air the “black national anthem” before season opening games this season.

Owens was incensed over the NFL’s pandering to the Black Lives Matter movement saying, “there is no ‘black national anthem.’” He also felt as if the NFL was trying to return to the days of segregation.

“There is no ‘black national anthem.’ Why does it feel like the country is trying to segregate again sometimes?” Owens tweeted on Thursday.

Owens was responding to the the NFL’s announcement that it intends to begin playing the song, Lift Ev’ry Voice And Sing, a song that many blacks have taken to calling “the black national anthem.”

The league says that the “black national anthem” will be played before the Star Spangled Banner prior to all Week 1 games.

The song was created in 1905 from a 1900 poem written by James Weldon Johnson, an early leader of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).

Owens also recently took aim at the league for pandering to anti-American former player Colin Kaepernick, calling the former San Francisco 49ers second-string quarterback a “Marxist.”

“If Goodell allows Kaepernick to come back, if they allow players to kneel during the national anthem, I’m willing to not watch the game,” Owens told Sports Illustrated last month.

“We have too many Americans now accepting the notion that the flag should be a place where people should be ashamed of or take a knee, that’s what it comes down to,” Owens said. “I am disappointed that so many people are acquiescing today. They don’t understand the American way; they don’t understand the price paid. They need to understand that we can’t be bullied and [also] that we’re not an evil country. There is no other country in the world with the mixing of races and tolerance. We have to change the current narrative.”

“If it was a meritocracy, he would be out there anyway; he would work hard; he would prove himself,” Owens added. “He wouldn’t be taking someone else’s position. We’re looking at Affirmative Action for a Marxist. We’re approving their ideology.

Burgess decisively won his primary race for the Utah’s Fourth Congressional District by nearly 20 points. He will now face off against freshman swing district Democrat Ben McAdams in the general election this coming November.

Horowitz: Republicans won’t even fight for self-defense

Forget about wearing a mask; what we really need to wear in this new version of America is a bulletproof vest or body armor.

As our country burns and life, liberty, and property are gravely threatened in America’s cities, Republican Sen. Tim Scott is focusing on renaming our military bases. Republican Sens. James Lankford and Ron Johnson are focusing on abolishing Columbus Day. Rather than deter and punish the violent anarchist mobs, they are taking their marching orders straight from the mobs. Who said violence is not the answer? Who ever said crime doesn’t pay?

I’ve been tracking the dangerous trend of motorists and truck drivers being attacked by mobs blocking the roads and even highways. One would think they could just avoid the worst neighborhoods of Minneapolis, Chicago, and New York and confidently drive unmolested by the mob. Nope. These people are everywhere, including in small towns in red states, yet they remain just as undeterred as they are in blue states.

On Monday night, a motorist was surrounded on the streets of Provo, Utah, when he was trying to make a right turn. The mob started throwing things at the car, and as he gingerly pushed forward, one of the rioters shot into the car and injured the driver. His wounds are not life-threatening, but others haven’t been as fortunate.

Thankfully, police arrested 33-year-old Jesse Taggart on attempted murder charges. Taggart is believed to have attacked another driver by breaking his window with his gun. What about all the other rioters? Are the roads clear? Were they punished? Why is there no deterrent even in a county where Hillary Clinton won just 14% of the vote?

I’ll tell you why there is no deterrent: Even in states Republicans control, they refuse to punish the rioters unless they shoot someone, they refuse to clear the roads, they refuse to protect the police from unjust lawfare, and they refuse to empower the citizenry to fight back and defend themselves. When they do, they are the ones who get prosecuted, and those sheriffs who call for their defense get fired.

Earlier this week, Sioux Rapids, Iowa, officials suspended police chief Tim Porter for two weeks without pay for commenting on a Facebook post about one of the attacks on motorists: “hit the gas and hang on over the road bumps.”

So even in red states and counties, people surrounding and attacking motorists are now protected classes? These are not people merely trying to hand out funky literature; many of them are coming for blood. Trump carried this county in Iowa by 25 points. If we can’t elect leaders in these areas who think that motorists don’t have to submit to beatings or deaths, we are done as a nation.

Yesterday, rioters blocked I-94 in Minnesota to protest a shooting … in Ethiopia. Blocking highways is not freedom of speech; it’s insurrection.

Last week, Bill Torpy wrote a column in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution relating how he and a former reporter for that same newspaper were held up near the Wendy’s where Rayshard Brooks was shot. Armed black men were manning checkpoints and stopping white people from driving into the area. He relates how there are now shootings in the area and it has become a no-go zone for cops. In general, 170 cops called out sick after officers were charged by the DA for the Brooks shooting. Local news are reporting about lawlessness in the streets of Atlanta with cars performing stunts and blocking the roads.

How does any of this happen in a state with full GOP control? Why is it that all Republicans care about is legislating on behalf of the mob instead of against the mob?

Republicans are missing a golden opportunity to force a fight over self-defense, crime, law and order, and safe streets. Gun sales for June have hit yet another record high, 70% higher than in June 2019. People are scared, they want order and safety, and they want the ability to protect themselves, knowing that the perpetrators will be the ones prosecuted, not them. Is it too hard for Republicans to stand for those people, these citizens of all races and creeds?

Clay County Florida Sheriff Darryl Daniels had the right spirit when he threatened to deputize law-abiding gun owners to help keep the peace if rioters start messing with his county. “If we can’t handle you, you know what I’ll do? I will exercise the power and authority as the sheriff, and I will make special deputies of every lawful gun owner in this county,” he said in a viral YouTube video. “And I’ll deputize them for this one purpose: to stand in the gap between lawlessness and civility. That’s what we’re sworn to do, and that’s what we’re going to do.”

Speaking with the moral clarity we hear from almost no Republican, Sheriff Daniels declared, “Lawlessness — that’s unacceptable in this country. Lawlessness — that’s unacceptable in Clay County. And if you threaten to come to Clay County and think that for one second that we’ll bend our backs for you, you’re sadly mistaken.”

That is the spirit we need from everyone in office, including the president, Republican governors, and county executives. Self-defense is the bulwark against anarchy.

1992 might have been the election of, “It’s the economy, stupid.” Well, this election better be, “It’s the anarchy, stupid.” And that begins with Republicans demonstrating their commitment to the rule of law in places where they already are in power.

Ludicrous: NY Times Paints St. Louis Gate-Breaking Mob as ‘Peaceful,’ Ignores Threats

The New York Times assigns Americans white hats and black hats based on the terminology they use. Leftists believe in "social justice reforms." Conservatives believe in "exacerbating racial divisions." The Left isn’t "exacerbating racial divisions" right now??
That was the caricature drawn by Times White House correspondent Annie Karni in her story “A Trump Retweet: Guns Pointed at Protesters,” about a videotaped confrontation between protestors and homeowners in St. Louis that went viral. Putting the reality of the mob aside, Karni described “a peaceful march” (through a private neighborhood) that encompassed destruction of a gate, trespassing on private property and verbal shouts and threats.
She smeared both the homeowners protecting their home and President Trump for tweeting about it, which was the ostensible reason that Washington-based Karni was covering a St. Louis incident in the first place.
In case any Times reader was confused whose side they were supposed to be on, Karni threw in unnecessarily racial and loaded (pardon the pun) terminology.
President Trump retweeted a video on Monday morning of a white man and woman brandishing a semiautomatic rifle and a handgun at peaceful black protesters in St. Louis over the weekend, amplifying a surreal scene that embodied the racial divisions roiling the country.
Mr. Trump’s promotion of the St. Louis confrontation was the second time in two days that the president used his social media platforms — which he often credits with allowing him to circumvent mainstream news outlets — to exacerbate racial divisions as Americans have been protesting police brutality and demanding social justice reforms after the killing of George Floyd.
Speaking of “exacerbating racial divisions”:
In the video from the protest on Sunday in St. Louis, a barefoot white man dressed in a pastel pink polo shirt and khakis emerges from his marble mansion and appears to threaten protesters who are marching down a private residential street. A woman, also barefoot, stands next to him in a pair of black capri pants, with her finger on the trigger of a silver handgun she points at the protesters.
From her perch in D.C., Karni insisted the protest, which ended with the gate to the private community destroyed, was wholly “peaceful.” That coverage is in keeping with the paper’s ludicrous evasion of actual violence at left-wing protests.
The protesters were participating in a peaceful march to the home of Lyda Krewson, the Democratic mayor of St. Louis, in order to demand her resignation after she released the names and identifying details of individuals who supported defunding the police.
The group can be heard banging on drums and yelling to one another, “Keep moving!” as they walk past the couple threatening them with firearms. According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the white couple in the video were identified as Mark T. McCloskey and Patricia N. McCloskey, both personal injury lawyers.
But NewsBusters pointed to local CBS affiliate KMOV, which noted in a photo description that protesters “broke down a gate in the neighborhood to march past their home.”
KMOV’s skeptical story at least quoted Mr. McCloskey at length.
“It was like the storming of the Bastille, the gate came down and a large crowd of angry, aggressive people poured through,” Mark McCloskey said. “I was terrified that we’d be murdered within seconds. Our house would be burned down, our pets would be killed.”
"A mob of at least 100 smashed through the historic wrought iron gates of Portland Place, destroying them, rushed towards my home where my family was having dinner outside and put us in fear for our lives," Mark McCloskey said, and shared photos of the destroyed gate.

MUST READ: Joe Biden to Ramp Up Barack Obama’s Plan to Abolish and Transform America’s Suburbs

obama suburbs

Author Stanley Kurtz argued in his book Spreading The Wealth: How Obama Is Robbing The Suburbs To Pay For the Cites that Barack Obama’s grand socialist plan included redistributing wealth from American suburbs to the inner city.

Obama passed regulations in 2013 to force suburban neighborhoods with no record of housing discrimination to build more public housing targeted to ethnic and racial minorities.

According to Kurtz, the underlying thrust of the rule change was to force racial and ethnic diversity on the suburbs:

The new HUD rule is really about changing the way Americans live. It is part of a broader suite of initiatives designed to block suburban development, press Americans into hyper-dense cities, and force us out of our cars. Government-mandated ethnic and racial diversification plays a role in this scheme, yet the broader goal is forced “economic integration.”

The ultimate vision is to make all neighborhoods more or less alike, turning traditional cities into ultra-dense Manhattans, while making suburbs look more like cities do now. In this centrally-planned utopia, steadily increasing numbers will live cheek-by-jowl in “stack and pack” high-rises close to public transportation, while automobiles fall into relative disuse.

In June of 2015 the Obama administration moved forward with regulations designed to help diversify America’s wealthier neighborhoods. The regulations would force communities to build affordable housing in more affluent areas in order to receive federal grant money.

On Tuesday Stanley Kurtz came out with a new report at National Review on the Democrat Party’s plan to abolish the suburbs.

Says Kurtz:

Joe Biden and the Democrats want to abolish America’s suburbs. Biden and his party have embraced yet another dream of the radical Left: a federal takeover, transformation, and de facto urbanization of America’s suburbs. What’s more, Biden just might be able to pull off this “fundamental transformation.”

The suburbs are the swing constituency in our national elections. If suburban voters knew what the Democrats had in store for them, they’d run screaming in the other direction. Unfortunately, Republicans have been too clueless or timid to make an issue of the Democrats’ anti-suburban plans. It’s time to tell voters the truth.

I’ve been studying Joe Biden’s housing plans, and what I’ve seen is both surprising and frightening. I expected that a President Biden would enforce the Obama administration’s radical AFFH (Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing) regulation to the hilt. That is exactly what Biden promises to do. By itself, that would be more than enough to end America’s suburbs as we’ve known them, as I’ve explained repeatedly here at NRO.

What surprises me is that Biden has actually promised to go much further than AFFH. Biden has embraced Cory Booker’s strategy for ending single-family zoning in the suburbs and creating what you might call “little downtowns” in the suburbs. Combine the Obama-Biden administration’s radical AFFH regulation with Booker’s new strategy, and I don’t see how the suburbs can retain their ability to govern themselves. It will mean the end of local control, the end of a style of living that many people prefer to the city, and therefore the end of meaningful choice in how Americans can live. Shouldn’t voters know that this is what’s at stake in the election?

It is no exaggeration to say that progressive urbanists have long dreamed of abolishing the suburbs. (In fact, I’ve explained it all in a book.) Initially, these anti-suburban radicals wanted large cities to simply annex their surrounding suburbs, like cities did in the 19th century. That way a big city could fatten up its tax base. Once progressives discovered it had since become illegal for a city to annex its surrounding suburbs without voter consent, they cooked up a strategy that would amount to the same thing.

Read the rest here.

The entire Democrat Plan for America is a complete nightmare.
It is not a stretch to say this is the most consequential election in America’s history.

Rioters Destroy Historic 120-Year-Old ‘Elk Fountain’ Statue In Portland

Rioters in Portland, Oregon, destroyed the historic 120-year-old “Thompson Elk Fountain” on Wednesday night near a federal courthouse.

The rioters “ripped off wood boards protecting the building’s windows to use for firewood and barricades,” Fox News reported. “Protesters threw water bottles and other projectiles as police fired pepper balls and at least one flash-bang at protesters in front of the courthouse.”

Reporter Andy Ngo tweeted out a video of the statue burning, writing: “The elk statue in downtown Portland is now fully engulfed in flames.”

Political commentators online ridiculed the rioters for destroying the statue, noting that it had nothing to do with the racial injustices that they claim are the focus of their “protests.”

“Good,” commentator Stephen Miller quipped. “Racist elk had it coming.”

Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton wrote: “The communist revolution will burn anything and everything.”

Australian political commentator Rita Panahi added, “Umm obviously because the elk is steeped in white supremacist symbolism and, umm I got nothing.”

The Oregonian, a local newspaper, wrote about the history of the then-111-year-old statue in 2011, which was named after David P. Thompson, who came to Oregon when he was 19-years-old in 1853:

Having worked as a surveyor in Ohio, he was hired to survey the railroad route around Willamette Falls, then spent 20 years in that profession. Along the way came opportunities in mining, railroads, banking and manufacturing, and a substantial fortune.

Active in politics, he served at various times in the Oregon Legislature as both a Democrat and Republican, as governor of Idaho Territory (1875-76), Portland mayor (1881-1885) and U.S. minister to the Ottoman Empire (1892-93).

In June 1899, from his office in the New Market Theater Block (which he owned) at First and Ankeny streets, Thompson, as president of the Oregon Humane Society, wrote to the mayor and City Council:

“From my office window I have an opportunity see the great benefit the Skidmore Fountain is to Portland by furnishing water for the dumb animals and birds to quench their thirst, as well as the great number of human beings who drink of the pure water which flows from this fountain.”

He went on to chastise wealthy Portlanders for not emulating druggist Stephen Skidmore’s $5,000 bequest.

In that spirit, Thompson said, he would “construct a fountain in the street between the two Plaza blocks in front of the county courthouse” to serve the same purpose as the Skidmore. “This work to be completed on or before July 4, A.D. 1900. The inscription on it to be ‘Presented to the City of Portland by David P. Thompson, A.D. 1900,’” the letter specified. Final cost: $20,000.

Rioters in Portland vandalized the courthouse with graffiti, writing the “f-word” repeatedly and “Stolen Land.”

The rioters also burned an American flag.

More Than 1,000 Canadians March to US Embassy in Ottawa Chanting “We Love Trump” on Canada Day

On Canada Day in Ottawa a group of Trump lovers marched on the US Embassy chanting “We love Trump”.

In an exclusive report at the Rair Foundation USA website, a group of Canadians showed their love for President Trump:

Today on Canada Day, over 1,500 Canadians gathered in Ottawa on Parliament Hill to express their love of country and opposition to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s rule. The patriotic crowd waiving Canadian and Veteran flags marched from Parliament Hill to the U.S. Embassy. The crowd roared with chants of “Trudeau has got to go” and “I love Trump”.

Of course Canadian media claimed the ‘protest’ was about the virus:

The crowd was estimated at around 1,500.

Joe Biden delays VP pick again: A secret civil war among Democrats?

After all that time in the basement, not doing very much, Joe Biden still can’t quite decide who his runnng mate is going to be.

According to Breitbart News:

Former Vice President Joe Biden is pushing back his timeline for announcing a running mate, seeming to signal his campaign has yet to find an acceptable candidate.

Biden told reporters on Tuesday after delivering an address on the coronavirus pandemic that his campaign was still evaluating its options. In late May, he floated the idea of unveiling his running mate by August 1. When pressed if the announcement would meet his initial August timeline, Biden backtracked, claiming his staff was just getting “underway now in the hard vet of going into the deep background checks” required for each of the prospective candidates.

Yes, he’s addled as a result of his advanced age, and very often doesn’t know which room — or state — he’s in.

But more likely, it’s that the choices he has are all pretty disgusting.

Every last one of them is bound to alienate a large portion of his electorate, driving a lot of them to stay home or heaven forbid, switch to Trump. Biden is currently leading in the polls, and whoever he picks is bound to splinter that lead or else nullify it as enthusiasm fizzles.

Who does he have: Most swampers are now focused on Elizabeth Warren. She’s got high positives among Black voters, higher than even the black candidates who are supposed to serve as clickbait for black votes, and large parts of the progressive left are all in for her let’s-kill-Wall Street program. She’s famous for her big sweeping programs supposedly to be financed with ease by ‘taxing the rich’ and refuses to let herself be pinned down by cost. That’s got to be good for attracting leftist voters who view double-entry bookkeeping as no better than ‘cops.’ She’s also got a big donor base, which to Joe, would be a priority, given his penchant for getting his family members ‘taken care of.’

Why is she such a bad idea anyway? Well, because Wall Street despises her, and that’s bound to put a damper on donations for old Joe as a result. It also could lead to moves to thwart her, and him, and Biden knows all about how money politics moves are played. Worse still she’s hopelessly ‘white’ and not just white but an affirmative-action cheat who bit and clawed her way to ivy league teaching positions by posing as a fake Indian. In an age of race-wokeness, that’s not going to go over well with a certain chunk of Democrats. It’s also going to give President Trump a field day. Lastly, she represents Massachusetts. No extra-bring-alongs from there, Biden already has blue Massachusetts in the bag.

Second possibility is Kamala Harris – and on some lists, she’s first. She’s black, she’s female, she’s got a bonus East Indian ancestry, she’s very very left-wing, yet she’s also a good marching soldier for the Democratic Party establishment, which, standing in her pearls and corporate suit, is her first loyalty. She’s a sharp speaker who can rally the left with her anti-Trump zingers, and she wants the job badly. She’s also politically wily, agilely laying low and saying nice things about Joe in her bid to woo him to pick her, something that probably amounts to a plus to the team trying to pick a running mate for Joe.

She’s a practiced suck-up to the more powerful, which should please the Democrats holding Joe’s puppetstrings, literally learning at Willie Brown’s knee about how to advance.

But to a lot of us, even Democrats, that’s a lot of what’s disgusting. Will the feminists enjoy telling all the little girls that Harris achieved her political success by sleeping her way to the top? Or worse still, harboring a sex-harasser in her office, a creep who used to make the office girls bend down under his computer to fix various issues, so he could see their underwear, triggering lawsuits and big payouts, something she claims to know nothing about, despite her ‘leadership’ in the office. She doesn’t quite fit the feminist bill with those embarassing details.

More problematic still, she’s a former prosecutor and state attorney general, shorthand in woke world for ‘cop.’ And not just any ‘cop’ but a verifiably corrupt one – throwing people in jail for pot offenses while giggling on a radio show that she too smoked pot. Keeping people in jail even after their sentences were up in order to have a bank of ‘volunteers’ to fight California’s fires, which surely wasn’t her job to ensure, but … loyalty to the establishment first, right? Endorsing despicable alterations to ‘confession’ transcripts in a death penalty case by other corrupt district attorneys instead of firing their keisters and vacating the tainted case. Yelling about defunding the police — while earlier, traveling around with a Los Angeles Police Department detail across the state, to every party and gala she went to, a significant misuse of resources for personal status purposes.

And lastly, she did very poorly in Iowa and other early primary states. Why? Because with all her fake laughter and suckey-uppiness, it’s likely she came off as a phony. Voters don’t like phonies and they especially don’t like them being behind the scenes presidents, which is what Harris is likely to be.

Finally, she’s not going to bring any added value to the electoral tally — she’s from California, and California is already in the tank for Biden.

There’s also Rep. Val Demings of Florida, who’s also black and seemingly low key, who doesn’t have any major negatives on the national stage, which is a plus for Joe … except that it’s solely because she is not well known. She’s from Florida, which is a swing state and that may mean winning that important state. Lot to like about her on those grounds.

She does have a big negative for Biden, though if he hopes to win woke leftist votes — she’s a former police chief of Orlando. Democrats don’t like cops.

Then there’s Rep. Tammy Duckworth, a Thai-American, which would fill in the woman-of-color box, and a disabled veteran, with a record of executive experience, too.

She has fewer negatives, but would she excite the wokester base, which by the way, doesn’t like military service? She’s not all that impressive a public speaker. Plus, being from Illinois ought to get her associated with the blue-state hell there, which might turn off moderates, and in any case, won’t bring in anything extra votewise from her state, since Illinois is already in the bag for him.

There’s also  Rep. Karen Bass of California. She too is black and fills in that checkmark box. She’s an engaging speaker and ambitious, but not in any obviously lean and hungry way in the manner of Harris. She’s woke as heck and a creature of the Democratic machine establishment.

One problem: She’s made some grotesquely pro-Castro statements, and Sandalista-style praises of some of the worst economic disasters in the hemisphere. Good luck swinging Florida with that record, Joe.

There’s also his old buddy, former National Security Advisor Susan Rice, who’s also Black and female, and a comfortable old shoe for Joe, given that she goes back to the Get Trump salad days of deep state, and unmaskings of Trump officials, complete with bids to cover up the plotting. She’s also comfortable lying on cue in the name of elections, she did in the aftermath of Benghazi. She’s a good one for Joe, because she knows where all the bodies are buried. And she’s the gateway to bringing back all the Obamatons back into the White House. How does Secretary of State Ben Rhodes sound?

She’s never been a politician, though, and she’s kind of a non-starter in polls. She’d undoubtedly do anything Joe wants in a future presidency, so why waste her on the veep slot, which requires bringing in something extra? She can’t deliver.

Every last one of these candidates, and plenty more — I left off Stacey Abrams because the Biden people have already leaked out that they are repelled by her — amounts to some kind tokenism, which Black voters aren’t too keen on, as this recent poll from this Washington Examiner piece shows.

Yet with Biden leading in the polls now, you can bet that there’s some fearsome power moves going on behind the scenes among the Democratic Party’s power-brokers – Team Obama, Team Bernie, the congressional Black Caucus, plus the Democratic campaign operatives looking to find a way to secure swing voters — who have nothing in common with the first three groups. With Joe Biden addled and isolated, you can bet they’re moving like pirates to secure the top berth to power. Someone’s going to be the power behind the throne in a Biden presidency, since it’s not going to be Biden. With high hopes for winning and huge power to be taken, you can bet it’s vicious behind the scenes, a secret civil war among war lords, that is bound to keep extending until one gets bit in the neck and drops from the cliff.

It certainly would explain why Joe’s having such a hard time making up his mind as high campaign season beckons, and it also explains the Democrats’ shifting plans on when and where to hold a convention. They’re fighting among themselves all right, and it’s got to be fierce.
