The mainstream media will go to any lengths to cover for a Democrat’s misdoings, no matter if they are currently in office or not. They did it for Ted Kennedy, now they are doing it for Bill Clinton. Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre is now the second person to place Clinton at Epstein’s so-called sex island in the Caribbean. But instead of focusing on that, the media are currently covering it up by trying to create a connection between Epstein and President Trump. 
 
 
Morning Joe is just the latest media program to be complicit in this cover-up, when on Thursday they brought on the authors of a new book about Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort to try and invent an Epstein connection, with co-host Willie Geist starting things off by turning it to Trump: 
Nicholas, let me ask you about Jeffrey Epstein. The president has said on a number of occasions that Epstein was not a member at Mar-a-Lago. Was he? 
Donald Trump, if you remember, banned Epstein for hitting on a teenage girl and has been critical of him ever since. Author Nicholas Nehamas mentions that in his response, but quickly tries to excuse it away: 
So, what we were today, and this has been reported a little bit in court documents was that Epstein hit on or assaulted a teenage daughter of a member at Mar-a-Lago and that’s not something that the president could tolerate. That is bad for his brand. That’s bad for his business, so Epstein got the boot. 
Willie Geist could not help himself with his next question, trying to paint it though Trump had a potentially scandalous connection to the pedophile Epstein.  
Do you have any insight into the nature or depth of the relationship between Jeffrey Epstein and President Trump? We know there’s been video. We’ve all seen them yucking it up together at various events. How close were they, actually? 
Despite the fact that Trump has never been to Epstein’s island, never been pictured with young girls of any kind, Geist and Morning Joe are still trying to cover for Bill Clinton, who was allegedly there, according to Giuffre and a tech worker on the island. It is worth noting that Geist did not mention Clinton one time during this segment. 
Nehamas engaged in this coverup as well, bringing up that Trump, Epstein, and a group of NFL cheerleaders: 
 Yeah, I mean, we know that they hung out. And we know that they had this party with all of the cheerleaders. These things have been widely reported. But I think one of the things you need to understand is the nature of Palm Beach. This is a very small community. People here stick together. That is expected. Jeffrey Epstein was a resident or a part-time resident of Palm Beach. Donald Trump was a part-time resident of Palm Beach. So there is a lot of social mingling that happens in Palm Beach that we wouldn’t necessarily be privy to as outsiders.
Not mentioning Clinton and Epstein, trying to cover it up by talking about Trump and NFL cheerleaders, smells like a cover-up in the making on behalf of Democrats, they did not mention that Trump said about Epstein “I’m not a fan of his.” But the media will do whatever it takes to protect Democrats, even lie.

WILLIE GEIST:  Three teenage boys were arrested over the weekend after jumping a wall at President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort with a loaded AK-47 hidden in a backpack. The 15 year olds were charged with armed burglary and resisting arrest without violence. The teens are being held while prosecutors decide whether or not to charge them as adults. Joining us from Miami herald Sarah Blaskey and Nicholas Nehamas. Authors of the book "The Grifter’s Club." Sarah, what is the setup around Mar-a-Lago. Security is run by Mar-a-Lago which is a Secret Service skeleton crew and the Secret Service doesn’t get to vet who comes and goes. 
SARAH BLASKEY:  That’s right, it may seem extreme what happened over the weekend, but with the understanding of the president’s home there have been security breaches, accidental security breaches happen all the time. One thing to note, when the president isn’t there, the Secret Service isn’t there. And the club security is minimal. Sometimes, they don’t even have enough guards to guard all of the different entrances. We understand that this property is very forest. There are almost unlimited ways to get into it. When the president is in town, Secret Service does set up a perimeter. But as you said, there’s this tension between the security of the club and the interests of its members and secret service. And what that means is that Secret Service often has to defer to security, the sort of hired people, who don’t even carry weapons to protect the club, and that does cause problems for the security of the president.
GEIST: Nicholas, there’s so many colorful details in your book. We all know sort of the broad strokes of what happened in 2017 when President Trump was having dinner with the prime minister of Japan Shinzo Abe there. And surrounded by people taking photographs of him. And you add to that story, some details I’m not sure most of us knew, a woman who I guess was a lounge singer who was there. Walk us through that night, based on your new reporting. 
NICHOLAS NEHAMAS:  Right, so what our book really does for the first time is illustrate this tension that you see at Mar-a-Lago between President Trump as the leader of the free world and, you know, the man in charge of keeping this country safe. And a very charming club host who is dedicated to making sure that everyone at Mar-a-Lago has a great time. So, as you said, President Trump was hosting Prime Minister Abe of Japan for a summit, when at a dinner in front of many, many guests. When news came in that North Korea had launched a missile in the direction of Japan. He was so focused on showing off Mar-a-Lago’s lounge singer and asking her to twirl for Prime Minister Abe that he wasn’t really paying attention to the missile launch. And someone overheard the singer say, Mr. President, I really shouldn’t hear this, as aides clustered at the table. And he responded, it’s just nukes, sing us a song. And was quickly overruled. It shows that he cares about having a good time. What was first on his mind is showing off his incredible lounge singer. Later that night after that briefing with Prime Minister Abe, he went and gave a toast at a wedding happening at the club. Everyone applauded and loved it and then went back to mingling with his guests. That was the night of the North Korean missile launch. 
GEIST:  Congratulations on the book. I have a two-prong question. First, what’s the biggest ethical challenges you saw uncovered reporting this book? And you can zoom out and talk about Florida and discuss why the location of Mar-a Lago might be important to the president as we see him changing his stance of mail-in, in Florida? 
NEHAMAS:  Sure, we first think about how optics may play out on the ground at a club. As Nick mentioned there is this tension between what the members want which is unlimited access. They pay $200,000 to join this club and then $14,000 a year. And so what they want is this feeling of close proximity to the president. And it’s in the president’s interest to give it to them. So sometimes, you know, at the lowest level, this can look like people with strange and sort of bizarre interests all sitting together at a different table at mar-a-lago, getting what they want. In the worst cases, this kind of access that you can pay to sit at dinner next to the president can lead to real national security concerns and we did see that last year when she was arrested going into the property. We don’t know what her motives were but she carried a purseful of electronics. And that certainly raised concerns that perhaps this is being targeted by foreign enemy government to try to collect information on the President of the United States. And that’s a big concern for people in the national security realm. 
GEIST: Nicholas, let me ask you about Jeffrey Epstein. The president has said on a number of occasions that Epstein was not a member at Mar-a-Lago. Was he? 
NEHAMAS: Yes, we viewed one of the major news breaks in this book, and there are several, is that we viewed a membership log that listed all of the members at a time and members who had resigned. Or in Epstein’s case been kicked out. And what this log revealed was that Epstein was a member until his account was closed in October 2007. And he was known as a regular at the club. But this ties him to Mar-a-Lago much more closely than the Trump organization or the president has admitted to this point. 
GEIST:  Why was he kicked out, Nicholas? 
NEHAMAS:  So, what we were told today, and this has been reported a little bit in court documents was that Epstein hit on or assaulted a teenage daughter of a member at Mar-a-Lago and that’s not something that the president could tolerate. That is bad for his brand. That’s bad for his business, so Epstein got the boot.

A New York magistrat judge is requesting testimony from Wikileaks founder Julian Assange in a case involving slain DNC voter data director Seth Rich.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Sarah Netburn requested the international assistance in order to get the testimony.

The parents of Seth Rich are suing FOX News and Judge Netburn wants Assange to testify on Seth’s role in the leaked DNC documents.

Julian Assange has repeatedly said the documents did not come from Russia. And Robert Mueller interviewed hundreds of witnesses in his anti-Trump witch hunt but never got around to questioning Julian Assange who was the source of leaked DNC documents.

The parents of Seth Rich believe he had nothing to do with the leaked documents to Wikileaks.
They may not like what they find out.

On November 9, 2016 Ellen Ratner admitted publicly that she met with Julian Assange for three hours the Saturday before the 2016 election. According to Ratner, Julian Assange told her the leaks were not from the Russians, they were from an internal source from the Hillary Campaign.

Rich was murdered before the election in 2016 late at night in Washington DC.

The Epoch Times reported:

A federal magistrate judge in New York requested assistance from a UK court on Aug. 5 in obtaining testimony from WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange for a U.S. civil lawsuit brought against Fox News and others by the parents of slain Democratic National Committee voter data director Seth Rich.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Sarah Netburn requested the international assistance in accordance with the Hague Convention.

“In the proper exercise of its authority, this court has determined that the evidence cannot be secured except by the intervention of the English courts and that assistance from the English courts would serve to further the international interests of justice and judicial cooperation,” the judge wrote in a memorandum for the senior master of the Royal Courts of Justice.

Joel and Mary Rich, Seth Rich’s parents, sued Fox News in March 2018 nearly a year after the news network published and retracted an article titled “Seth Rich, slain DNC staffer, had contact with WikiLeaks, say multiple sources.” The Riches claimed the network inflicted intentional emotional distress on them by slandering their son. The case was dismissed in August 2018, but the Second Circuit Court of Appeals overturned the dismissal more than a year later.

The case has since entered the discovery phase and the judge determined that Assange’s testimony is crucial for determining the central dispute between the parties—whether the article was a “sham” as the Riches claim, or “substantially true” as maintained by Fox News.

“Mr. Assange, as founder of WikiLeaks, is exceptionally suited to provide testimony that will be highly relevant to these issues. Therefore, Fox News, by and through this letter of request issued by the District Court, is formally requesting the testimony of Mr. Assange for use at trial,” the request to the UK court states.

Former Vice President Joe Biden has asserted that “unlike Latinos” the black community is basically a monolith who all thinks the same.

His comment is perfectly in line with his claim that black people who don’t vote for him “aren’t really black.”

In a snippet of one of his campaign streams shared by the Trump campaign, Biden asserted that “what you all know, but most people don’t know, unlike the black community with notable exceptions, the Latino community is an incredibly diverse community — with incredibly different attitudes about different things.”

Rioters attacked the Portland Police Department’s East Precinct on Wednesday night, which is in a residential area, and reportedly tried to run over police officers while fleeing the scene after attempting to set the building on fire.

Late at night a group of a few hundred people blocked traffic, shined green lasers at police officers, attempted to tear down protective boarding on the building, and worked to disable surveillance cameras in an attempt to conceal their criminal activity.

A member in the group was seen attempting to tear the surveillance camera off of the front doors of the East Precinct. Other people in the group began spray painting the camera as well as the front doors of the precinct. Lots of members of the group were seen wearing helmets and carrying shields.

“Several people in the group began to ram a large 2 by 4 piece of wood in to the front glass doors in an effort to shatter them,” the Portland Police Department said in a statement. “Other members of the group slammed different heavy large objects into the glass doors as well. The objects included large rocks.”

“By 9:50 p.m., those who had been destructing the East Precinct glass doors successfully cracked them, causing significant damage,” the department continued. “Since serious ongoing criminal behavior continued, a riot was declared at 9:56 p.m. At 10 p.m., the front doors of East Precinct were barricaded and a fire was started using plywood and an accelerant.”

When officers moved to disperse the rioters they “were hit with projectiles and commercial grade fireworks,” the department said. “Because of life safety issues created by members in the group, CS gas and crowd control munitions were used. While dispersing efforts continued, a truck associated with the group attempted to run over several officers.”

Portland police said that officers were pelted with large rocks that were the size of shot puts and they had to repel attacks from the violent rioters two more times over the following two hours.

Journalist Andy Ngo, who testified this week to the U.S. Senate as an expert on Antifa, tweeted out videos of the attacks on the police station.

“For the first time since the riots began in Portland, antifa attacked the east precinct, located far on the east side of the city,” Ngo wrote. “Rioters immediately began disabling security cameras around the building.”

Ngo included video of the rioters tearing off the protective barrier to the East Precinct. “The crowd chants ‘didn’t see sh**’ to remind everyone to comply w/remaining silent,” he wrote.

Ngo also included video of the group starting a fire on the front door of the East Precinct. “They tore off the barricade and placed tinder around the fire,” Ngo reported. “They’re trying to burn down the building.”

“After antifa were dispersed by police following the attack on the East Precinct, they tried to blind a woman at her home with lasers and attacked her,” Ngo continued. “Antifa have gone into residential parts of the city after moving on from attacking federal courthouse.”

The National Rifle Association plans to spend tens of millions of dollars to sway close races throughout the country for the 2020 election.

Jason Ouimet, who runs the NRA’s lobbying arm and political action committee, spoke exclusively with the Washington Free Beacon in his first in-depth interview on the gun-rights behemoth’s 2020 electoral strategy. He said the group plans to spend heavily in battleground states to help reelect President Donald Trump over presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden, whom he described as "100 percent anti-gun." The group plans to focus much of its attention on Arizona, Colorado, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Wisconsin—swing states with traditionally strong support for gun rights.

"We’ll be in those places at every level," Ouimet said. And the message will be simple: A President Joe Biden and Democratic Senate are a threat to gun owners.

"You are literally going to be dealing with the potential confiscation of firearms. You’re literally going to be told you can’t carry in certain places. You can’t own certain things for self-defense," Ouimet said. "Folks need to understand that."

The NRA spent $50 million to boost the GOP in 2016 but saw disastrous results in 2018 when it was outspent by gun-control groups. Ouimet said it plans on moving forward with the spending push despite losing between $10 and $15 million from the cancelation of the Second Amendment group’s annual meeting and other fundraising events due to the coronavirus pandemic.

"We’ll spend tens of millions of dollars. Will it be $50 million? I don’t know," Ouimet said. "We got shut down from doing any of that level of fundraising. Yeah, that has an impact on us just the same way it has an impact on everybody else. Does it mean that we’re not going to be effective? Does it mean that we’re not going to play? No."

The coronavirus pandemic and social unrest may have hindered fundraising, but they have also led to historic gun sales. Ouimet said the NRA has added more than 1,000 new dues-paying members per day since June. The addition of some 60,000 new members and growing has helped swell NRA ranks to more than five million American adults.

"We’ve got a massive grassroots army, a massive grassroots army," he said. "They’re not paid for by any one person or any group of billionaires. These are folks who joined on their own who got skin in the game, who go out to vote and who advocate for the issue."

The group expects those members will be motivated to vote due to the leftward swing that many Democrats at the national level—especially Biden—have made over the past several years.

"We’re confident that we’ll be able to mobilize them and get them out there and they’ll be excited to do it," Ouimet said. "I mean, it’s a big election and a big difference in the candidates."

The NRA has sparred with Trump over his support for some gun-control measures, including the implementation of his 2018 bump-stock ban. Ouimet said such disagreements do not take away from the president’s overall positive legacy on Second Amendment issues or the group’s support for him. He pointed to Trump’s judicial appointments and protection of gun rights for Social Security recipients, as well as the administration’s "essential business" declaration for the gun industry in the wake of coronavirus shutdowns.

"All those have been huge," Ouimet said.

He described Biden’s agenda as radical. The presumptive Democratic nominee has pledged to ban and—Ouimet fears—possibly confiscate so-called assault weapons, outlaw online sales of weapons and ammunition, and allow suits against gun makers over the criminal misuse of guns by third parties, among other regulations.

"It’s 100 percent anti-gun," Ouimet said. "It’s all restrictions on law-abiding gun owners, not going to stop crime, not going to solve problems. As far as I’m concerned, a lot of it is unconstitutional."

The unprecedented surge of new gun buyers driven by uncertainty surrounding the pandemic and recent rioting illustrates the importance of the Second Amendment, Ouimet said, and the importance of defeating Biden.

"We’ve always said that when seconds matter sometimes help is minutes away. … That’s why you see these lines around the block at all these gun stores right now," he said. "With Joe Biden in office, that’s going to get seriously restricted, if not eliminated. And that’s unacceptable."

The 2020 race will be the first major test for Ouimet who took over the NRA’s political operations in September after former head Chris Cox was ousted from the organization. Republican leaders publicly voiced concerns about the fallout from Cox’s departure. Ouimet said the clear differences between Biden and Trump on the issue will galvanize the group’s membership and make voter outreach that much easier.

"I think sometimes we get a little fixated on just the one number and forget that that grassroots army is ultimately what’s behind [us]," he said. "We’re going to tap that resource and use it as we have in the past."
