Half of House GOP Supports Movement to Remove Liz Cheney as House GOP Chair

More than half of the House Republican Conference has committed to vote to remove Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) as the chair of the House GOP Conference.

Juliegrace Brufke, a reporter for the Hill, reported Tuesday that a senior GOP aide told her that more than 115 House Republicans support the effort to express no confidence in Cheney’s leadership of the House Republican Conference. The effort would involve a secret ballot vote to remove Cheney as the chair of the House GOP Conference.

Cheney is the third-ranking Republican in the House, but she has become engulfed in controversy after voting to impeach President Donald Trump.

A senior House Republican confirmed this report to Breitbart News and stated that Republicans believe she should step aside voluntarily to avoid further embarrassment to the conference.

Two Republicans being considered to replace her as House GOP chair are Reps. Lee Zeldin (R-NY) and Elise Stefanik (R-NY).

Reps. Matt Rosendale (R-MT) and Andy Biggs (R-AZ) swiftly called for her to step down as the House GOP chair after she announced her intent to vote to impeach Trump. The movement quickly grew from Republicans across the political spectrum, including those in leadership, such as Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), the ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee.

One House Republican predicted to Politico anonymously last week that roughly half of the House Republican Conference would support efforts to oust Cheney as the third-ranking Republican.

Now, more than half of the House GOP have committed to the growing movement to censure the Wyoming Republican.

Cheney’s office has yet to respond to a request for comment regarding the rising number of Republicans calling for her removal as House GOP chair and whether she should resign to save the House GOP further embarrassment.

The report follows as the Carbon County, Wyoming, GOP moved to formally censure Cheney for voting in favor of impeachment against Trump.

The resolution stated:

Representative Cheney has violated the trust of her voters, failed to faithfully represent a very large majority of motivated Wyoming voters, and neglected her duty to represent the party and the will of the people who elected her to represent them.

Republicans such as newly-elected Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and Bob Good (R-VA) have argued that Cheney’s support for impeachment has advanced the Democrats’ drive for impeachment against the 45th president.

“Congresswoman Liz Cheney, the Republican Conference Chair advocating for the impeachment of the leader of the Republican party, while not communicating her intentions with conference members before the media, weakens our party at a critical time while we are in the minority,” Good said in a statement last week.

Further, Good said that Cheney does not represent the majority of House Republicans:

Her decision to impeach the president does not represent the majority of our conference. It has only served to become a Democrat talking point to be used against our party during this impeachment debate. Leadership is a privilege, and carries great responsibility.  I believe that privilege has been violated, and I am calling for her to step down as Republican Conference Chair.

Other Republicans have

criticized

the Wyoming Republican for pushing an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) that would make it harder for Trump to withdraw troops from Afghanistan.

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), who supports efforts to remove Cheney as the House GOP chair, said Tuesday that Cheney has left the America First movement.

President Trump delivers farewell address: ‘I fought for America and all it stands for’

President Donald Trump issued a farewell address to Americans on Tuesday, where he celebrated the successes of his administration and expressed optimism for the nation’s future.

What did the president say?

The president began by thanking his family, along with Vice President Mike Pence and the entire Pence family, as well as law enforcement and the U.S. military before extending his gratitude to the American people for what he referred to as the "privilege" of serving as commander in chief.

Reflecting back on when he first took office, the president said:

"Four years ago I came to Washington as the only true outsider ever to win the presidency. I had not spent my career as a politician, but as a builder looking at open skylines and imagining infinite possibilities. I ran for president because I knew there were towering new summits for America, just waiting to be scaled. I knew the potential for our nation was boundless as long as we put America first.

America had given me so much, and I wanted to give something back. Together with millions of hardworking patriots across this land, we built the greatest political movement in the history of our country. We also built the greatest economy in the history of the world."

Trump listed a number of his administration’s successes, including energy independence, a number of Middle East peace deals, the creation of the U.S. Space Force, pre-pandemic record-low unemployment for African Americans, criminal justice reform, and the rapid development of two successful coronavirus vaccines under Operation Warp Speed.

Pointing to his achievements in increasing border security, the president declared, "We restored American strength at home, and American leadership abroad. The world respects us again — please don’t lose that respect."

The president also expressed his pride in being "the first president in decades" who did not start any new wars.

"I did not seek the path that would get the least criticism," Trump said. "I took on the tough battles, the hardest fights, the most difficult choices, because that’s what you elected me to do."

Trump told the American people, "I fought for you, I fought for your family, I fought for our country. Above all, I fought for America and all it stands for, and that is: safe, strong, proud and free."

How did Trump’s speech end?

President Trump concluded:

Now, as I prepare to hand power over to a new administration at noon on Wednesday, I want you to know that the movement we started is only just beginning. There’s never been anything like it. The belief that a nation must serve its citizens will not dwindle but instead only grow stronger by the day. As long as the American people hold in their hearts deep and devoted love of country, then there is nothing this nation cannot achieve. Our communities will flourish, our people will be prosperous, our traditions will be cherished, our faith will be strong, and our future will be brighter than ever before.

I go from this majestic place with a loyal and joyful heart, an optimistic spirit, and a supreme confidence that for our country and for our children, the best is yet to come.

Trump Talks To Allies About Starting His Own Political Party

President Donald Trump has reportedly spoken to some of his associates in recent days about forming his own political party, although the idea is considered unlikely even if he is being serious. “Trump discussed the matter with several aides and other people close to him last week, the people said,” The Wall Street Journal reported. PHOTOS: Feds Build Walls in D.C. for Anti-Border Wall Joe Biden, Kamala Harris

The federal government has constructed security walls and fencing across Washington, DC, in anticipation of President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris’s inauguration on January 20, even as both are opposed to such barriers at the nation’s international borders.

Following riots at the United States Capitol on January 6, the federal government has ordered 25,000 National Guardsmen to Washington, DC, and the construction of barriers around the nation’s historic landmarks to protect from potential unrest.

In photos, crews can be seen erecting barriers with razor wire around the U.S. Capitol. Likewise, similar barriers have been placed along streets in Washington, DC, and around the reflecting pool which sits in between the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument.

While the barriers will be in place through next week’s inauguration, Biden has promised to stop all construction of wall at the U.S.-Mexico border and has claimed that such barriers do not reduce illegal crossings, though federal data indicates otherwise.

In his call to end President Trump’s national emergency at the southern border, Biden claims that “building a wall will do little to deter criminals and cartels seeking to exploit our borders.”

Similarly, Harris has criticized wall construction at the U.S.-Mexico border as well. Specifically, in 2019, Harris blasted the Trump administration for stationing American troops at the border and for using concertina wire along barriers to help deter illegal crossings. These are the same two tactics now being used in Washington, DC, to protect the Biden-Harris inauguration.

GOP Rep. DesJarlais: ‘Insurrection’ Hypocrisy an Effort to Put a ‘Stain’ on All the Great Things Trump Did as President

Representative Scott DesJarlais (R-TN) warns that there could be an ulterior motive behind the media and Democrats’ push to play up last week’s incident at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C.

During an appearance on FM Talk 106.5 in Mobile, AL, he acknowledged that President Donald Trump’s response could have been much better. However, the Tennessee Republican lawmaker also argued the way the media are playing the incident is part of an effort to tarnish his legacy.

“[Y]ou don’t have to like Donald Trump — and I personally thought he could have been quicker on the trigger to get on TV and denounce it as soon as it began to happen,” DesJarlais said. “So I wasn’t thrilled about that — but I don’t lose sight of all the great things he did over four years as president, and they’re just trying, in my opinion, to put a stain on everything he did and who he was by this thing.”

“The hypocrisy and double standards of the riots that occurred all summer long — the rioting, the looting, the deaths that occurred all summer that were rarely or barely denounced by the left — all of a sudden, this was the end-all and be-all of riots,” he continued. “They talk about five, now six people have died during this violent mob. Well, we know one woman, unfortunately, was shot. That’s still under investigation. Three people died from medical emergencies, very unspecified — people that had a heart attack that could have had it in Texas or in Washington, but they didn’t necessarily die due to an angry mob. We know there were 40,000 Trump supporters there, and if history shows you, I’ve been to Trump rallies. They’re peaceful, patriotic people who wanted their voices heard. This wasn’t 40,000 Trump supporters storming the Capitol. There was a couple of hundred lunatics, very misguided, that did this. So, everything about it is an exaggeration, and so the hypocrisy of their riots versus this insurrection is talked about completely differently on the news.”

President Trump Please CREATE AN EXECUTIVE ORDER and Have the Ballots and Images from the 2020 Election Audited in Swing States Using the Jovan Hutton Pulitzer Method

President Trump PLEASE CREATE AN EXECUTIVE ORDER and Have 2020 Ballots and Images Audited in Select States Using Jovan Pulitzer Method

We’ve requested this before.  Mr. President please create an Executive Order and have all the ballots and images of ballots audited forensically in the swing states so all Americans can see the audited results of the 2020 election.

THE MAN WHO WILL SAVE AMERICA… “This Isn’t the Beating of a Drum, This Is the Burning of a City!” – Inventor Jovan Pulitzer DESTROYS Georgia’s Corrupted 2020 Election Results

Pulitzer offered to help Georgia audit their results using his technique of identifying fraudulent paper ballots and said he would do it for free.

Pulitzer has shared:

He can look at 500,000 ballots in a couple hours.

The people of the state of Georgia trusted the state to ensure the election was valid and fraud free.

The current election results are flawed: “This isn’t the beating of a drum this is the burning of a city.

Our country was founded on a piece of paper! Pulitzer can look at the paper and determine almost immediately if a ballot is fraudulent or not.

Pulitzer offered to perform an audit of ballots for free for the state of Georgia.  The Georgia Senate voted to allow Pulitzer to audit the absentee ballots in Fulton County.  We are not sure where this stands currently nor why it’s not made public.

Please President Trump create an Executive Order that will mandate Pulitzer audit the results in Georgia and the other swing states now!
