House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is under fire for a stock purchase in Tesla that came only weeks before President Joe Biden proclaimed his intention of making the federal vehicle fleet totally electric. “It’s corrupt and unacceptable for members of Congress, particularly the speaker, to trade stocks in companies affected by their votes in Congress,” said…
President Joe Biden told Americans in his Inaugural Address last week: “We have learned again that democracy is precious. Democracy is fragile. And at this hour, my friends, democracy has prevailed.” But one would be forgiven for thinking otherwise, given the Biden administration’s behavior on taking office.
After a week of Biden, the United States is being run more like a Third World country than an advanced democracy. Here are nine of the most salient examples:
1. Rule by executive order. President Biden issued dozens of executive orders in his first week, a new record. Yet at a town hall in October, he promised: “I have this strange notion. We are a democracy. … Things you can’t do by executive order, unless you’re a dictator. We’re democracy, we need consensus.” Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has supported him, turning the legislature into a rubber stamp, hailing Biden for what she called “transformative executive actions.”
2. Putting a predecessor on trial. Biden broke his pledge to seek “unity,” and backed a Senate impeachment trial for his predecessor, President Donald Trump. Trump has not committed any known crime. Moreover, the Constitution does not provide for a former president to be impeached. Already, 45 Senators voted to declare the trial unconstitutional, meaning there is no chance of a conviction. The only purpose is to prevent Trump from running for office again — pure politics.
3. Censorship of opposition. The Biden administration has not done anything to challenge the ongoing censorship of conservatives in social media, which the Biden campaign actually supported. Administration officials are said to be delighted that Trump has been banned from Twitter, because it has eliminated the most powerful opposition voice. In addition, the Department of Justice has begun prosecuting people for memes. The chilling effect on speech is real.
4. Attacking the private sector. Biden has killed jobs in the fossil fuel industry by canceling the permit for the Keystone XL pipeline and suspending oil and gas leasing on federal lands. He has done so even though there will be no benefit for the planet. Even Climate Envoy John Kerry admitted Wednesday that if U.S. emissions were to reach “zero,” the world’s emissions would ensure that climate change continued. But in a Third World dictatorship, the private sector is expendable.
5. Exploiting identity politics. Biden continues to peddle the lie that our society is haunted by “systemic racism.” He is leading an assault on common national symbols and ideas, deleting the report of the 1776 Commission within moments of taking office. (Biden attacked the report, which he clearly has not read, as “offensive” and “counter-factual.”) Biden also imposed new transgender rules on the military and on amateur sports, short-circuiting debate about a sensitive issue.
6. Challenging judicial independence. One of the only checks on a runaway executive or legislature is an independent judiciary. But Biden is pressing ahead with plans to “reform” the courts, potentially “packing” the Supreme Court with left-wing judges. To that end, he has appointed Bob Bauer to lead a “bipartisan” commission to study the issue. Bauer is Biden’s former campaign lawyer, and worked for Perkins Coie, the firm that arranged the fraudulent “Russia dossier.”
7. Purging former officials. Biden is removing officials appointed by his predecessor to a variety of agencies, from the Voice of America to the National Security Council. The “purge” has even included officials like National Security Agency general counsel Michael Ellis, who had previously been vetted through a bipartisan process. Trump complained about Obama “holdovers” but hired critics, even Democrats. Notably, Biden has not appointed one Republican to his Cabinet.
8. Encouraging a slavish media. The Biden Administration enjoys the benefit of fawning coverage from the mainstream media, which has thus far provided glowing reports about the new administration, and continues to portray Trump and his supporters in the most negative light possible. The Washington Post kept a running tally of allegedly false statements by Trump, but has declined to do so for Biden — even though Biden has a well-deserved reputation for telling falsehoods.
9. Military in the streets. The National Guard ought to have been brought to the Capitol to reinforce police on January 6. Their presence was understandable in the aftermath of the Capitol riot, even if the much-touted threats to the Inauguration never amounted to much. But now their presence has been extended for months, supposedly to thwart threats to the Senate trial. It looks less like a legitimate mission and more like a show of force by Democrats against their political opponents.

Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) demanded an apology from Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) on Thursday after she accused Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) of “trying to get me killed.” Roy sent a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) telling the speaker to sit down with Ocasio-Cortez and get her to publicly apologize for her remarks. If […]
Democrat politicians in New York erupted in outrage on Thursday evening over a fake quote from Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) that attacked Democrat New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo. The quote, which Waters said in 2018, had been altered from her original words, which attacked members of the Trump administration. The viral tweet came on the […]
President Joe Biden will announce a ban on new oil and gas leases on federal lands and waters on Wednesday, according to several reports.
Biden’s decision bars any new fracking on federal lands despite his campaign promise not to ban the practice.
“I am not banning fracking. Let me say that again: I am not banning fracking,” Biden said in August 2020 during the presidential campaign. “No matter how many times Donald Trump lies about me.”
Despite multiple promises to end fracking and fossil fuels during the Democrat primary or end “new fracking,” Biden clarified while campaigning in Pennsylvania ahead of the presidential election that he would only ban new fracking on federal lands.
“No, I would not shut down this industry. I know our Republican friends are trying to say I said that,” Biden said about fracking in an interview with Pittsburg’s KDKA News.
“I said I would not do any new leases on federal lands,” Biden continued. “Ninety percent of the leases are not on federal land, to begin with. I would make sure … the water is not being contaminated. But I would not shut it down, no.”
The issue of a fracking ban was prominently featured in the final presidential debate when Biden falsely stated that he never said he would ban fracking.
Welker: All right. Let me allow Vice President Biden to respond–
Biden: I have never said I oppose fracking.
Trump: You said it on tape.
Biden: I did? Show the tape. Put it on your website.
Trump: I’ll put it on.
Biden: Put it on the website. The fact of the matter is he’s flat lying.
Welker: Would you rule out banning fracking?
Biden: I do rule out banning fracking because the answer we need– We need other industries to transition to get to, ultimately, a complete zero emissions by 2025. What I will do with fracking over time is make sure that we can capture the emissions from the fracking. Capture the emissions from gas. We can do that and we can do that by investing money into– It’s a transition to that.
Welker: I have one more question–
Trump: Excuse me. He was against fracking. He said it. I will show that to you tomorrow. ‘I am against fracking’, until he got the nomination, went to Pennsylvania then he said– You know what, Pennsylvania? He’ll be against it very soon because his party is totally against it.
Biden: Fracking on federal land, I said. No fracking or oil on federal land.
President Trump followed through on his promise, publishing a campaign video highlighting Biden’s discussion of eliminating fracking and fossil fuels.
He played the highlight video at several of his rallies in Pennsylvania.
Democrat leaders Kylie Oversen, Ellie Shockley and Ellen Chaffee donated money to support a man charged over axe attack on North Dakota Republican senator.
Since the day after the 2020 presidential election, I have said I am agnostic with regard to whether the election was honestly or dishonestly decided. The primary reasons for my agnosticism are the usual ones. The anomalies: In 132 years, no president has received more votes in his run for re-election and lost. Yet Donald…
Ted Wheeler, the Democratic mayor of Portland, Oregon, pepper-sprayed a man on Sunday evening who had reportedly asked him why he was eating at a restaurant without a mask on, and also accused Wheeler of “ruining” the city. Willamette Week reported Wheeler had finished dining with former Portland Mayor Sam Adams at the McMenamins Hillsdale…
On Tuesday, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) delivered a blistering speech on the floor of the Senate in which he excoriated Democrats for their attempt to impeach former President Donald Trump, who is now a private citizen. Paul not only blasted Democrats for their “hyper-partisan” actions, but denounced them for hypocritically targeting Trump while saying nothing […]
Conservative journalist Andy Ngo has fled the United States amid a constant barrage of Antifa death threats.
What are the details?
In an interview with Sky News about his upcoming new book, "Unmasked: Inside Antifa’s Radical Plan to Destroy Democracy," Ngo explained to his hosts that "for an number of months now there’s just been increasing threats of violence against me, promises by Antifa extremists to kill me."
Ngo — who’s now in London — noted that "all those threats were reported to authorities, and even when I provided names of some of the suspects, nothing was done. So, it’s pained me a lot to temporarily [have] to leave the country and home that settled my parents, who came there as political refugees."
Andy Ngo: Antifa has forced me to flee my homeyoutu.be
What’s the background?
Ngo had been living in Portland, Oregon, which is arguably Antifa Central in the United States. And for several years he’s paid special attention to the activities of the violent left-wing group — and has even infiltrated Antifa to get first-hand information about their actions, tendencies, and core values.
Antifa militants — who claim they’re fascism fighters while wantonly practicing fascism at every turn — ganged up on and brutally beat Ngo in a June 2019 incident captured on video.

"The people occupying the Capitol building do not look like Antifa people dressed in Trump gear or Trump costumes," he told the Washington Examiner in an interview from England.
He added to the paper that he’s seen "no evidence that they are able to coordinate a mass infiltration on this scale before, so I’m really skeptical that they would have been able to do it here without any of that information leaking out."
Antifa also has been making a valiant effort to bully Portland’s famed Powell’s Books into not selling Ngo’s upcoming book — the store has already said it won’t stock it on shelves or promote it and will sell it only online. As you might guess, that’s not quite good enough for Antifa:
