Facebook has censored Stop the Steal, a rapidly growing Facebook page set up by Trump voters organizing in-person rallies at voting locations to demand integrity in the ballot counting process.

The page was set up only recently, and quickly grew to over 300,000 members in the space of 24 hours, as voter concerns about irregular activities at voting locations in key swing states escalated. Stop the Steal is also organizing through its own website.

In October, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg donated over $100 million to a “safe elections” project run by former Obama campaign manager David Plouffe.

But now, it seems ordinary Republican voters are not allowed to use his platform to organize in defense of election integrity.

The mainstream media ran several articles about Stop the Steal, attacking its members as purveyors of “misinformation” and criticizing Facebook for not censoring the page quickly enough.

One journalist even claimed, bizarrely, that allowing Republican voters to use Facebook to organize rallies in defense of fair elections would somehow lead to violence.

“Facebook is, once again, doing an absolutely atrocious job at curtailing election-related disinformation and violent rhetoric,” said Rolling Stone reporter EJ Dickson on Twitter

“Its history of being reactive rather than proactive may very well result in the platform having blood on its hands.”

The Center for Countering Digital Hate, a British-based NGO that pressures social media companies to censor conservatives, also demanded that Facebook take the page down.

In a comment to the media, a Facebook spokesman accused the group of trying to “delegitimize” the election process, and said some members of the group “called for violence,” without citing any explaining why the page was being held collectively responsible for the posts of such individuals.

“In line with the exceptional measures that we are taking during this period of heightened tension, we have removed the Group ‘Stop the Steal,’ which was creating real-world events,” said the Facebook representative.

“The group was organized around the delegitimization of the election process, and we saw worrying calls for violence from some members of the group.”

Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani launched a major effort to challenge what he described as “highly suspect” mail-in ballots that were counted in Philadelphia without proper observation.

“This is a concerted effort of the crooks that run the Democrat party,” he said during a press conference on Wednesday.

Giuliani said that the “Democrat crooked machine” prevented Republican observers in Philadelphia from seeing the ballot counting process, forcing them to stand 20 or 30 feet away.

The former mayor announced that President Donald Trump’s campaign had filed a lawsuit to contest the counting process.

“We were supposed to be allowed by law to observe the counting of the ballots,” Giuliani said, citing the importance of Trump campaign observers at the polling stations in Philadelphia.

Former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi said that the integrity of the election was in jeopardy after one worker demanded that Trump election observers be kept 30 feet away from the counting process, with police barricades, while the counting took place.

“We need to fix this, we need to remedy this now because we’ve won Pennsylvania and we want every vote to be counted in a fair way,” Bondi said.

She said that the Trump campaign would release a video of the incident.

Giuliani said that 120,000 ballots were counted in Philadelphia that were not observed by Election Day workers.

“We never got a chance to look at a single one of them,” he said.

Giuliani said that the unobserved counting of the 120,000 should be contested, which is why the team filed a lawsuit.

“They could be from Mars as far as we’re concerned or they could be from the Democrat National Committee,” Giuliani said. “Joe Biden could have voted 50 times as far as we know, or 5,000 times.”

Giuliani said that Philadelphia had a reputation for voter fraud, dead people voting, and people bussed in from Camden, New Jersey, to vote in Pennsylvania. But the new aspects of mail-in ballots, he alleged, allowed Democrats to deliver an unprecedented new level of voter fraud.

“Sorry, we’re going to fight for the people, we’re going to vindicate their right, and the ultimate result is that President Trump has won Pennsylvania,” Giuliani said.

Giuliani also contested the 120,000 ballots that suddenly appeared in Wisconsin at 4:00 a.m., as well as Arizona, Nevada, and Michigan.

He previewed a possible national lawsuit to challenge the Democrats for their sudden ballot deliveries.

The former New York City mayor described the effort as an illustration of the president’s willingness to fight for his supporters and their votes.

“Do you think we’re stupid? You think we are fools?” he asked. “Do you know something? The Democrats do think you’re stupid, they do think your fools, and that’s why you get called deplorable and chumps. That’s over.”
