Watching the media scramble these last two weeks to save Joe Biden’s candidacy, I am reminded of a scene in Ray Bradbury’s 1953 dystopian sci-fi classic, Fahrenheit 451, 451 degrees Fahrenheit being the temperature at which paper burns.

In the novel, the state employs “firemen” to burn paper lest the few civilians who care about books avail themselves of information the state does not want them to have. During the Biden stretch run, the firemen on the left have shredded what is left of their reputations as journalists to destroy information the Deep State does not want their audiences to have.

Even before Hunter Biden’s laptop surfaced, the media busied themselves suppressing information that was readily available to the ordinary citizen — montages of Biden plagiarizing, groping little girls, making racially insensitive comments, eulogizing exalted KKK cyclops, threatening Ukrainian prosecutors, even sexually assaulting at least one very credible Democrat — and they did so with enough success that the Biden camp felt comfortable positioning Joe as the candidate with “character.”

The Hunter laptop was too tangible to dispose of subtly. Not since Joseph Goebbels urged the German Student Union “to commit to the flames the evil spirit of the past” has a western nation so flagrantly thrown in on the side of ignorance. Twitter has gotten most of the attention for its total blocking of the New York Post, which broke the laptop story, but the firemen at NPR were not far behind.

“We don’t want to waste our time on stories that are not really stories, and we don’t want to waste the listeners’ and readers’ time on stories that are just pure distractions,” NPR Managing Editor for News Terence Samuel told his audience in the way of answering a reader question. “And quite frankly, that’s where we ended up, this was… a politically driven event and we decided to treat it that way.” NPR’s public editor added that, in any case, “the assertions don’t amount to much.”

Had it not been for the final debate, the firemen might have succeeded in keeping major media audiences fully in the dark about what Trump called the “laptop from hell.” Knowing the subject would surface, Biden came prepared. He dismissed the laptop as a “Russian plant” and had his allies line up some 50 “intelligence” officials who seemed to agree with him.

The more sober members of the major media knew the “Russia, Russia, Russia” accusation — as Trump aptly mocked it — was insane, but it was out there. No longer able to burn it, they had to finesse it into insignificance. Top honors for sophistry in this effort go to the Washington Post and its “disinformation and political warfare” fireman, Thomas Rid.

To his credit, Rid acknowledged that Biden’s 50 intelligence officials conceded they “did not have evidence of Russian involvement.” Rid added the obvious, namely that there is good reason to be skeptical of a foreign plot:

If a competent Russian intelligence agency went to the length of procuring hacked material, blending it with forgeries, perhaps researching a suitable surfacing locale and setup in Wilmington and surfacing the package in a human intelligence operation that required careful planning — then it’s highly likely that agency would have found, or more likely forged, files that would have actual political impact, instead of the unremarkable material revealed in the Post so far.

Duh! The remainder of Rid’s article – “Insisting that the Hunter Biden laptop is fake is a trap. So is insisting that it’s real” — is pure bait and switch. It could make sense only to those mesmerized by the past four year of the Post’s Pulitzer Prize-winning disinformation.

Rid argues that “the Russian interference of 2016” holds valuable lessons for 2020. In 2016, unlike 2020, Rid claims that the public had “meaningful public artifacts on day one.” He refers here to the alleged hack of the DNC servers in April 2016.

The initial Post article from June 14, 2016 — two months after the hack — may well have been prompted by Julian Assange’s appearance on a British TV show two days earlier. On that occasion, Assange told the interviewer, “We have upcoming leaks in relation to Hillary Clinton,” adding ominously, “We have emails.”

If Assange released damaging emails, the Clinton campaign needed to establish an alternative story line to offset the pending embarrassment. No doubt it would be more politically useful to portray Hillary as a victim of a Russian plot on Trump’s behalf than as a criminally negligent keeper of secrets.

Assange never did release Hillary’s emails. He did, however, release emails purloined from the DNC servers and from Hillary campaign chair John Podesta, the first in July, the second in October. The emails may have been embarrassing, but they were not “disinformation.” They were “information.” No one serious disputed their legitimacy.

As to Rid’s “meaningful public artifacts,” they were not exactly public, nor particularly meaningful. In fact, the artifacts were held tight by CrowdStrike, the cybersecurity firm that the DNC hired to examine its servers, a firm that, according to the Post, did not even pretend to know “how the hackers got in.”

Scandalous in its own right was the willingness of the Obama DoJ to allow the DNC to sidestep the FBI and hire a private firm on a matter of the highest national security. By contrast, John Paul MacIsaac, the computer repair storeowner, promptly took the Biden laptop to the FBI when he became aware of its contents.

Rid tells us that MacIsaac is a Trump supporter. He does not mention that “CrowdStrike is a deeply Democratic firm” served up to the DNC by Perkins Coie, the same law firm used as a DNC cut-out on the Steele dossier. In fact, Rid does not mention CrowdStrike at all.

Nor, most tellingly, does Rid mention Christopher Steele or his infamous dossier. Yes, a massive disinformation campaign took place in 2016 and the years following. Yes, it involved Russians. Yes, the conspirators — likely including some of the 50 Biden “intelligence” operatives — conspired to smear a candidate for president with nonsense allegations that defied the most desperate attempts at confirmation.

“We must treat the Hunter Biden leaks as if they were a foreign intelligence operation — even if they probably aren’t,” says Rid. Alice’s Queen of Hearts could not have said it better.

Rioters in Philadelphia sent 30 police officers to the hospital during the chaos that ensued following the officer-involved shooting of an armed Black man. One female police sergeant remains hospitalized with a broken leg sustained after being run down by a pickup truck.

Riots and looting broke out Monday night in Philadelphia after two police officers shot and killed a Black man who chased them with a knife, Breitbart News reported.  Hundreds of protesters took to the streets and began assaulting officers, looting vehicles and stores, and setting at least one police vehicle on fire.

One police sergeant, a 56-year-old female, sustained a broken leg after being run down by a large black pickup truck. The driver appeared to intentionally plow through a line of police officers attempting to block off a street from rioters.

Police officials say the sergeant sustained a broken leg and “various other injuries,” ABC6 reported. She is reported to be in stable condition Tuesday morning.

Doctors treated and released 29 other officers who were struck by bricks, rocks, and other projectiles during the Monday-night upheaval.

In total, anti-police rioters sent 30 Philadelphia police officers to the hospital.

The unrest began after two officers shot and killed an armed Black man, Walter Wallace, Jr. Video shot by a witness shows Wallace chasing two police officers around a car and into the street. Officers ordered Wallace repeatedly to drop the knife.

Wallace continued approaching the retreating officers with the knife extended toward the police. Multiple shots rang out and Wallace fell to the ground. A responding police officer loaded Wallace into a vehicle and drove him to the hospital. He later died from his wounds.

The CBS 60 Minutes fiasco was all of Lesley Stahl’s doing; she embarrassed herself.  She thought that she had the President in her sights and she intended to belittle him.  Why not?  She and her network have a long history of deceitful editing with the goal of destroying people they loathe.  Remember Dan Rather’s “fake but accurate” defense of his phony documents meant to derail George Bush’s re-election.  

Stahl’s interview was not an interview, it was an ambush.  She did not count on him pushing back; that is how dense she is.  Anyone paying attention to Trump knows one thing for sure: when challenged, especially when unfairly challenged, he pushes back.  

Where has Stahl been these past five years?  Is she so arrogant she thought she could shame the man unlike all the others who have tried and failed?  Apparently so.  She may think she stands apart from other interviewers but she is just one of a tribe,  her questions predictable, her dismissive tone familiar, her habit of interrupting when she did not like what she was hearing is common  for her ilk as was her changing the subject when he bested her at every turn.  

She was a disgrace and it was brilliant of the President to post his recording of the interview unedited.  When Trump had had enough and got up to leave, she whined like a spoiled teen-ager. She was “insulted.” Isn’t that rich?  She set out to insult, to sneer and disparage the President and was shocked when he wasn’t putting up with her gambit.  How dare he not succumb to her so carefully planned sabotage?

Like the rest of the left, Stahl set out to blame the President for all the deaths from COVID, as if the pandemic were an American phenomenon and not a virus that has spread worldwide.  When Trump correctly brought up his record of our massively successful economy up until the virus struck, she laughed at him and said, “You know that’s not true.”  He had accurately cited the lowest unemployment for Blacks and Hispanics ever recorded and she laughed!  

The question is, is she actually ignorant of Trump’s economic success that put the Obama/Biden economy to shame or is she following the media script that long ago agreed to lie about it?  The all-of-one-mind media regularly spews identical talking points that surely must be sent out to all of them in a mass email.  They dutifully regurgitate them without giving a thought to their legitimacy or truthfulness.  So, it is possible that Lesley Stahl is truly ignorant of Trump’s colossal success at revitalizing the American economy once he took office.

Can she really be ignorant of the fact that Hillary Clinton and her minions at the FBI, CIA, and DOJ fabricated the Russia collusion hoax out of the deep state left’s naked lust for power?  Perhaps.  She apparently did not watch or read the Mueller Report that begrudgingly cleared the President of any wrongdoing.  She has obviously not read any of the many fine books already published that have laid out the facts of the attempted coup.  She has not bothered to watch The Plot Against the President, that proves that these thugs did indeed  spy on Trump, every member of his family and his campaign.  Trump was not to be allowed the presidency. He must not gain witness to the corruption that characterizes the deep state.  

We are to believe that Stahl was ignorant of what everyone in DC and her network knows?  Not buying it.  She knows very well what was done to Trump was the most serious political scandal in US history, she just assumes the rest of us know nothing.

 

Stahl, at this moment in time, like the rest of the anti-Trump media, have one and only one avenue of attack against Trump and it is a bogus one: COVID.  That Trump was on top of the pandemic before it actually got here was miraculous and went against the political instincts of all the Democrats and Fauci.  Fauci did not recommend banning flights from China, then Europe.  Fauci did not recommend that everyone wear masks.   It was Trump who sent the hospital ships to New York and Los Angeles, got the field hospitals built, got the manufacture of ventilators and PPE up to speed once he learned the Obama administration had left all those supplies un-refilled after the H1N1 epidemic.  But the left media hacks like Stahl ignore all that, and because they have nothing else with which to denigrate the President, they grievously lie about his response to the virus.  It is all Biden has with which to attack Trump and it is pathetic.  No other world leader has handled this crisis better.  

In these perilous times, the leftist conglomerate that includes the Democrat party, the media and the entertainment industry  is melting down.  Watch CNN or MSNBC for five minutes and you will, if suggestible, think the world is about to end, especially if Trump were to win a second term.   Meanwhile, Trump supporters are showing up at his rallies by the tens of thousands.  They are mounting spontaneous pro-Trump rallies all over the nation – with car and boat parades for example.  At the same time, Biden events, even when Obama stumps for him, are barely attended by anyone at all.  Biden claims he discourages attendance because of COVID! Yeah, sure.

Biden has been, after all these years, caught using his decades in office as a means to enrich his family to an order of magnitude unimaginable to most Americans.  The Biden family is shot through with corruption; Hunter’s grasping for undeserved wealth most likely has led to his debauched life-style.  The emails, texts, and images that have been released reveal a family extraordinarily dysfunctional, vulnerable to blackmail to the degree of being a national security risk to us all.  China owns the Bidens.  If elected Joe Biden would have no choice but to do the Chicoms’ bidding.  And that is where we stand a week before the election.  

Are the NeverTrumpers, those who hate the man so much that they’ve lost the ability to reason,  willing to sacrifice America to a communist-controlled candidate in order to defeat the President?  It seems they are.  

Where does Lesley Stahl fall in this panoply of the institutions that ache for Trump’s defeat?  She is just one of their willing tools.  She is not objective, not a journalist in any sense of the word.  She’s just another left-wing media courtesan.  She may not have any idea of the irreparable harm she and her colleagues do to the nation.

In the end, those of us who love this country must be eternally grateful for people like Victor Davis Hanson, Mark Levin, Rush Limbaugh, Thomas Sowell, Tucker Carlson, Laura Ingraham, Dennis Prager, Larry Elder, Walter Williams, and all the other patriots and scholars who keep us grounded in the greatness of the Constitution and the Founders’ reverence for freedom, individual liberty, equality and justice for all.  Lesley Stahl and her 60 Minutes program are truly insignificant to the many millions of Americans who truly love this country and this president.

Actress Kirstie Alley slammed Facebook and Twitter for downplaying, ignoring and censoring a series of stories reporting by the New York Post into allegations that Hunter Biden earned money off the back of his father’s position as vice-president, calling it as “bullshit communist censorship.”

“TWITTER IS STILL BANNING @thenewyorkpost  FACEBOOK IS STILL DECIDING IF THE BIDEN BIG GUY STORY IS LEGIT,” she wrote. “And yet EVERY news media ran EVERY LYING Russia hoax & impeachment story against Trump without vetting ANYTHING!! It’s all bullshit it’s communist CENSORSHIP! #trump2020.”

Earlier this month, the New York Post published an investigative article containing bombshell allegations that Hunter Biden, the son of Democratic nominee Joe Biden, used his father’s political power to aid his overseas business dealings in Ukraine.

In a blatant act of interference ahead of next month’s presidential election, the story was actively suppressed by social media companies including Twitter and Facebook on the unsubstantiated claim that the story was false. As well as suppressing the story, Twitter has locked out the Post from its account and has yet to reinstate its access, a point picked up by Alley.

Similar action was never taken against outlets publishing fake news surrounding allegations against President Donald Trump of Russia collusion, which after years of FBI investigation were ultimately found to be a hoax.

Meanwhile, Alley has made no secret of her support for Trump over Biden in the upcoming presidential election, recently explaining that she supports the president as he is not a typical politician.

“I’m voting for [Donald Trump] because he’s NOT a politician,” wrote the former Golden-Globe winner earlier this month. “I voted for him 4 years ago for this reason and shall vote for him again for this reason. He gets things done quickly and he will turn the economy around quickly. There you have it folks there you have it.”

National pro-life and faith leaders celebrated the confirmation Monday night of Amy Coney Barrett to the U.S. Supreme Court.

The Senate voted to confirm Barrett’s nomination by President Donald Trump, 52-48, with only Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) voting with Democrats.

“Justice Barrett is literally a dream that today became a reality,” Father Frank Pavone, national director of Priests for Life, said in a statement, adding her confirmation is “a highlight of the most successful four years in office for any U.S. president.”

Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List), said Barrett’s confirmation to the nation’s highest Court “marks a turning point in the fight to protect unborn children.”

“Today our nation gained a brilliant woman jurist on our highest court,” the pro-life leader celebrated. “The American people can now see a glimmer of light at the end of a dark tunnel, when the Supreme Court may finally return to the people the ability to enact laws that reflect their values and save lives.”

Dannenfelser reflected as well on the importance of Republicans maintaining the Senate majority:

This victory would not be possible without the unwavering leadership of President Trump, Leader McConnell, and our pro-life Senate majority. They have worked seamlessly to confirm three Supreme Court justices and 215 lower court judges. This legacy is on the ballot next week, as Democrats are hell-bent on expanding the Supreme Court and adding lower court judges if they win. We must re-elect President Trump and our Senate majority to preserve the Supreme Court and the integrity of the judiciary.

A poll sponsored by SBA List and conducted by The Marist Poll shows that nearly two in three voters (61 percent) – including 63 percent of Independents and 31 percent of Democrats – oppose Joe Biden adding more justices to the Supreme Court if he is elected president.

Judicial Crisis Network President Carrie Severino also stated Barrett’s confirmation “is a historic achievement for the conservative legal movement, which has persevered for more than three decades in pursuit of a Supreme Court majority that will follow the Constitution.”

“And tonight, we’ve achieved that goal,” she added.

Former Planned Parenthood manager-turned pro-life activist Abby Johnson expressed in a statement that while Barrett has “achieved the pinnacle of her profession,” she is also a wife and mother raising a large family and embracing those roles as well:

I’m going to remember this day when Amy Coney Barrett, an accomplished woman in her own right, achieved the pinnacle of her profession while raising a family, embracing her role as a wife, and demonstrating that it’s all possible without abortion. Her confirmation hearings were a testament alone to her astute legal mind, her compassion for others, and ability to fulfill her role as the next Supreme Court Justice.

“She has done all of this by embracing her very femininity, not rejecting it,” Johnson said.

Catholics, in particular, are rejoicing as one of their own is confirmed to the Supreme Court.

Brian Burch, president of CatholicVote – a national faith-based advocacy organization – said in a statement:

Catholics in America are especially energized by the Senate’s confirmation of Justice Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court. Justice Barrett clearly demonstrated she has the qualities, knowledge, and skill needed to be a fair and independent Justice for every American. Senators that voted to confirm Justice Barrett are to be commended for focusing on her eminent qualifications and commitment to fairness and the rule of law, rather than the ugly anti-Catholic attacks that threatened to tarnish this process.

In North Carolina, Tami Fitzgerald, executive director of NC Values, said Barrett’s confirmation is “a fulfillment of President Trump’s promise to appoint pro-life judges who will carry out the Constitution and laws as written, without contorting the law to reach a desired outcome.”

“There is no one more qualified to sit on the Supreme Court than Justice Barrett,” Fitzgerald added, citing her originalist and textualist judicial foundation. Additionally, however, she said Barrett’s Christian faith and devotion to her family make her an appealing choice.

“Having a mother of seven serve in such a high-profile office is proof that women don’t need abortion to succeed in life,” she said.

Jeanne Mancini, the leader of the largest pro-life event in the world, the March for Life, said pro-life Americans are all too familiar with the dangers brought about by activist judges.

“But all Americans can celebrate the confirmation of Judge Amy Coney Barrett, who possesses the skill and character needed to sit on the high court,” she said. “She will protect the constitutional rights of everyone without prejudice and has pledged to fairly apply the law and interpret the constitution as it was written.”

Family Research Council President Tony Perkins said with Barrett, “there is no better example of a nominee showing calm, poise, and decency in the face of opposition.”

“She never wavered as the Left made a mockery of her faith,” he observed. “Senate Democrats even refused to show up for her committee vote. While these tactics may satisfy some on the radical Left, polls showed the American people rallying to Judge Barrett’s side.”

Perkins added Barrett’s originalist philosophy will help to “return our judiciary to a proper understanding of the Constitution’s powers.”

A family of seven ‒ including four kids ‒ were pepper-sprayed by violent rioters on Sunday while participating in a “Jews For Trump” rally in New York City.

A spokesperson for the New York Police Department said 11 people were taken into custody after the rally descended into chaos and violence Sunday afternoon. Six people were charged with disorderly conduct, obstruction of government administration and harassment, while a seventh person was charged with assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest, the NYPD said Monday.

A convoy of hundreds of cars draped with American flags and “Trump 2020” banners rolled slowly through Manhattan and Brooklyn on Sunday afternoon. The caravan traveled from Coney Island to the Trump Tower in Manhattan before heading to a rally in a Brooklyn park.

Rapper and Joe Biden surrogate Cardi B was terrified when she recently encountered groups of Trump supporters in Los Angeles, expressing horror at their “big ass trucks” and saying “I don’t like this shit!”

Cardi B reportedly posted a series of clips to her Instagram Stories on Saturday in which she livestreamed herself driving past Trump fans wearing MAGA hats and waving American flags.

“Look how many fuckers! I’m scared now we’re gonna get jumped. I really feel like we’re gonna get jumped. Oh my God. Ahhh!” she screamed.

In another clip, she said: “Trump supporters are everywhere, I’m scared. I don’t like it, with their big ass trucks.”

The rapper said in a third clip: “I don’t like this shit. Look at this. Look at this! Look how they’re walking around, with fake guns out and covering their fucking face. I don’t like this shit!”

Cardi B’s Instagram rants are believed to have taken place shortly before or after police officers detained her husband, the rapper known as Offset, after someone inside his vehicle allegedly pointed a gun at Trump supporters who had just participated in a rally in Beverly Hills.

The Beverly Hills Police Department released a statement late Saturday, saying that they had arrested one of the passengers in the vehicle for pointing the weapon. The individual was identified as Marcelo Almanzar, 20, who faces charges of carrying a concealed weapon and carrying a loaded firearm in public. The Beverly Hills PD said Offset wasn’t arrested.

Cardi B has actively campaigned for Joe Biden, conducting in a lengthy interview with the presidential hopeful for Elle magazine in August in which she demanded free college tuition and health insurance. The “WAP” singer recently threw herself a lavish birthday celebration in Las Vegas where she was seen partying without wearing a mask.
