WILLIAMS: Disgusting Professorial Teachings

The ugliness that we have recently witnessed including rioting, billions of dollars of property destruction, assaults, murders and grossly stupid claims about our nation has its origins on college campuses. Two websites, College Reform and College Fix, report on the despicable teachings on college campuses across the nation. Let us look at some of it.

In response to Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson’s tweeting that he supports “citizen soldiers” in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Tressie McMillan Cottom, a black professor at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill’s School of Information and Library Science declared that “they have deputized all white people to murder us.”

Jesse A. Goldberg, professor in the English department at Auburn University who teaches classes in African American literature, American literature and composition wrote a now-deleted post on Twitter, “f—- every cop. Every single one.” Goldberg added, “The only ethical choice for any cop to make at this point is to refuse to do their job and quit.”

Eddie Glaude Jr., a Princeton University professor and chairman of the Department of African American Studies said that when it comes to policing in America “Black people still live under the slave codes.” Glaude’s tweet came in response to news that Jacob Blake was handcuffed to his hospital bed after being shot by police in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Glaude added:

“Placing shackles around the feet of Jacob Blake amounted to a physical reminder that he was still, no matter the protests, a n——r in the eyes of these policemen.”

New School professor Richard Wolff has called for the abolition of grades. He claims they are not only unfair to students, but also that they are a means of propping up capitalism, and as such, academia would be better off doing away with grading entirely. He went on to say: “Grading takes up much of my time that could be better spent on teaching or otherwise directly interacting with students.” Administering grades to students has “little educational payoff” and “disrespects (students) as thinking people.”

Wichita Falls, Texas, station KFDX-TV reported that Midwestern State University far-left philosophy professor Nathan Jun wrote on Facebook, “I want the entire world to burn until the last cop is strangled with the intestines of the last capitalist, who is strangled in turn with the intestines of the last politician.”

Vanderbilt University scientist Heather Caslin Findley says that “white supremacy, racism, and prejudice” are perpetuated by the concept of “academic freedom.” She added, “I hope there are a lot of circles in academia having a serious conversation on how ‘academic freedom’ upholds white supremacy, racism, and prejudice.” Findley also addressed past violent riots, writing that she was initially opposed to the 2015 Baltimore riots and was worried for the police officers but changed her mind. She said: “I was scared for the fires, for the rioting, for the storefronts that would need to be rebuilt. That was my ‘protest differently,’ ‘all lives matter,’ and ‘blue lives matter’ moment. I was wrong and I was called out.”

In the wake of financial problems, many colleges are crying broke and want government bailouts, but they have enough money to hire costly diversity people. For example, University of Pennsylvania pays its chief diversity officer more than $580,000 a year. University of Michigan pays it vice provost for equity and inclusion and chief diversity officer $385,000 per year. Other universities around the country pay their chief diversity officers annual salaries of $200,000 and up.

Many university professors do not buy into the gross academic deception that has become part and parcel of today’s college education today. They are too busy with their own research to get involved with campus politics. Rather than being on the committees that run the university, they concede the turf to those who are willing to take the time. Often those who are willing to take the time are not necessarily the most talented people but people with a political agenda to change what has been traditional college education. But all is not lost. Taxpayers, parents and donors who foot the bill can have a significant impact if they would stop being lazy and find out what is going on at our colleges. And, if they do not like what they see, they can snap their pocketbooks shut.

CNN’s Van Jones Praises Trump, ‘Doesn’t Get Enough Credit’ For ‘Good Stuff He Has Done For Black Community’

Via Daily Mail:

Van Jones, the former Obama administration official and current CNN commentator, said on Friday that President Trump ‘doesn’t get credit’ for the ‘good things’ he has done for African Americans, prompting Twitter users to call for his firing.

Jones made the comment while providing on-air analysis during Jake Tapper’s daily CNN broadcast on Friday.

Tapper began the segment by panning Trump’s comment during Thursday’s debate in which the president said he had done more for black Americans than any of his predecessors aside from Abraham Lincoln.

Report: Google Keeps Your Data Even After You Purge History from Chrome Browser

Tech giant Google reportedly keeps user data from YouTube and Google.com even after users of its Google Chrome web browser request that the browser purge all website cookies and site data. The Internet giant claims it isn’t another flex of its monopoly power, but rather, a “bug in Chrome.”

Toms Guide reports that even after users set Google Chrome to purge all website cookies and data when they close the browser, Google still maintains a record of user data from YouTube and Google.com. Mac programmer Jeff Johnsons reportedly noted the issue and published a blog post on it.

“Perhaps this is just a Google Chrome bug, not intentional behavior, but the question is why it only affects Google sites, not non-Google sites,” Johnson wrote in his post. “I’ve tested using the latest Google Chrome version 86.0.4240.75 for macOS, but this behavior was also happening in the previous version of Chrome. I don’t know when it started.”

Users can set Chrome to delete all site cookies and data every time they quit the browser by navigating to Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies and Other Site Data and toggling a switch labeled “Clear cookies and site data when you quit Chrome.”

This should delete data collected across all sites, but Johnson alleges that it doesn’t, writing: “Chrome exempts Google’s own sites, such as Search and YouTube, from this setting. After I quit and relaunch, the [YouTube] cookies are deleted, but the database storage, local storage, and service workers are still there!”

Johnson alleged that by adding Google.com and YouTube.com to the list of sites that can never use cookies at all, cookies were not collected. However, this leads to issues such as having to log into Gmail and YouTube manually whenever visiting the sites.

Google commented on the issue stating: “We are aware of a bug in Chrome that is impacting how cookies are cleared on some first-party Google websites. We are investigating the issue, and plan to roll out a fix in the coming days.”

GOP Rep. Byrne: Big Tech ‘Crossed the Line Now, So They’ve Lost Me’ — ‘We’re Ready to Go Them’

Representative Bradley Byrne (R-AL) once was apprehensive about regulating tech giants, like Facebook and Twitter. However, the latest episode involving the suppression of a New York Post story has made the Alabama congressman rethink his standing on that issue.

During an appearance on Mobile, AL radio’s FM Talk 106.5, Byrne said Facebook and Twitter “crossed the line” with their actions, which he said meant a new understanding about what they are.

“You’ve asked me questions about all of this before, and I’ve always been very reticent to want to have any regulations,” he said. “I’m sort of a free market guy, free idea guy. They’ve crossed the line now, so they’ve lost me. I don’t support that sort of protection for them anymore.  I think we’re going to have to start regulation them as what they are. And I think everybody in society needs to understand these are not free and open platforms. These are censored platforms. And they’re censored to try and keep one set of ideas out and push another set of ideas. We ought to all understand that. I mean, I don’t personally get my information from either Twitter or Facebook. But I think anybody that is getting their information from either of those two platforms needs to start looking around for a better way to get information.”

“We have treated them since their inception as just platforms for various things to go in and out of,” Byrne continued. “But they’re not. They’re actually regulating what comes in and what goes out. They don’t have free and open use of it. So, at that point, we have to regulate them as something completely different than what they at least pretended to be up until this point. And like I say, I’m a free market, open [guy]. I don’t like a lot of regulations. And I don’t like regulation of ideas. But when they’re that big and they have that much control on things, I don’t think we have a choice but to get involved with them. So they have lost me. They probably have lost a lot of people like me who were always reticent before. Now, we’re no longer reticent. We’re ready to go get them.”

Mazie Hirono Refuses to Ask Joe Biden to Apologize for Saying ‘Sexual Preference’

Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-HI) blasted Judge Amy Coney Barrett for saying “sexual preference” but refused Thursday to call on Joe Biden (D) to apologize after he used the term in May.

National Review’s Washington correspondent John McCormack spoke with Hirono in the Capitol this week and questioned her about the “apparent double standard,” the report continued:

National Review: Senator, last week at the hearing you mentioned that you thought it was “offensive and outdated” when Amy Barrett used the [term] “sexual preference.” It turns out that Joe Biden said it in May. Ruth Bader Ginsburg said it in 2017. Some of your colleagues on the Judiciary Committee said it maybe in 2010, 2012. Do you stand by that criticism?

Mazie Hirono: Well, of course.

NR: Do you think Joe Biden should apologize for saying that in May?

Hirono: Well, look, it’s a lesson learned for all of us. But when you’re going on the Supreme Court and you’ve been a judge, as one of my judge friends said, you should know what these words mean.

NR: Should Joe Biden apologize, too, like Amy Coney Barrett did?

Hirono: Joe Biden is not up for the Supreme Court.

NR: He’s up for the presidency. So, he shouldn’t apologize?

Hirono: People will decide.

NR: You don’t want to call on him to apologize?

Hirono: Oh, stop it. The world is in flames.

The senator tweeted video footage on October 13 of the moment she scolded Barrett for using the term:

“And let me make clear: ‘Sexual preference’ is an offensive and outdated term,” Hirono said, adding, “It is used by anti-LGBTQ activists to suggest that sexual orientation is a choice.”

However, Biden used the same phrase during a virtual roundtable discussion in May:

“I’m hopeful. I’m going to need you if we win. I’m going to need you to help this time rebuild the backbone of this country, the middle class, but this time bring everybody along regardless of color, sexual preference, their backgrounds, whether they have any … Just bring everybody along,” he said.

Barrett later apologized for using the term, according to Breitbart News.

“I certainly didn’t mean and would never mean to use a term that would cause any offense in the LGBTQ community. So if I did, I greatly apologize for that,” she said.

GOP Rep. Stefanik: ‘Joe Biden Is Lying to the American People’

Saturday on FNC’s “Fox & Friends Weekend,” Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY), a member of the House Judiciary Committee and participant in the House’s impeachment proceedings, reacts to Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden claiming he did nothing unethical during Thursday night’s debate.

The New York congresswoman said Biden was “lying to the American people” about his son Hunter Biden’s conduct and his associations with it.

“My response is Joe Biden is lying to the American people,” she said. “I was a member of Congress that asked every single witness in the impeachment hearing whether there was a conflict of interest or at least the appearance of a conflict of interest because of Hunter Biden serving on the board of Burisma. And every single witness said, ‘Yes, there was a conflict of interest,’ or the appearance of a conflict of interest to the point where even Ambassador [Marie] Yovanovitch, the former ambassador to the Ukraine when she was being prepared by the Obama administration for her Senate nomination, the Obama administration proactively brought this up as a conflict of interest. So this is Joe Biden running from his record and trying to wipe away this very clear conflict of interest.”

“This is not just a Hunter Biden scandal,” Stefanik added. “This is a Joe Biden scandal, and it’s not just Burisma. It’s also now the Chinese Communist government and the Chinese Communist Party. The American people deserve answers, and no amount of censorship from Big Tech should take away from the fact that Joe Biden needs to answer these questions for the American people.”

CNN Cancels Interview With Piers Morgan After He Slams Media For Ignoring Hunter Biden Scandal…

Via Daily Mail:

Piers Morgan has slammed CNN for canceling his interview with the network after he said they and other American news outlets were being biased for not covering a story about a laptop allegedly belonging to Hunter Biden.

During an appearance on Fox & Friends on Friday morning, Morgan was played clips of journalists, including CNN’s Jake Tapper, dismissing the allegations as false.

In turn, the DailyMail.com editor-at-large said journalists in the US were being ‘hyper-partisan’ for failing to report on or investigate the story.

No Signature Match? No Postmark? No Problemo! This Week In Ballot Shenanigans!

No Signature Match? No Postmark? No Problemo! This Week In Ballot Shenanigans!

Tyler Durden

Sat, 10/24/2020 – 12:40

Authored by Victoria Taft via PJMedia.cdom,

Last week, we were dumpster-diving for ballots, navigating the depths of a 15-yard box for the 100 stale beer and coffee ground-stained ballots dumped by some malevolent (or lazy) postal worker in Kentucky. This week, another 99 ballots and hundreds of pieces of first-class mail were found dumped by yet another postal worker, this one in New Jersey.

Both ballot-tossing layabouts are being prosecuted by the feds, but it’s unknown at this point if this is their first ballot-tossing caper or just their latest ballot-tossing caper.

It’s hard to judge what’s worse, some disgruntled postal worker tossing ballots or Pennsylvania accepting and counting all ballots – even ones that have no identifying information, the right postmark, and mailed after the election.

We’ll start with the story that made headlines recently when Pennsylvania authorities tossed out 372,000 ballot applications.

Far from disenfranchising voters, we are assured by Pennsylvania officials that 90% of the applications were duplicates due to confused voters signing up at multiple places and with different groups, according to Just the News.  Hmm.

Federal and state court actions this week have amplified the warning issued by the CEO of the polling firm Trafalgar Group, Robert Cahaly. As I reported at PJMedia, Cahaly predicted Trump could win the state but could very well have it stolen from him through election fraud.

I believe Pennsylvania to be the number one state that Trump could win and have stolen from him through voter fraud. Pennsylvania has had a lot of voter fraud over the years and giving people unsolicited absentee ballots is literally like giving voter fraud operations steroids. I think it’s the state he’s most likely to win and not get the votes from.

And when you find out about the allowable ballot chicanery you’ll understand why Cahaly is concerned.

On Monday, the U.S. Supreme Court considered an appeal by Republicans to stay a Pennsylvania state Supreme Court ruling allowing ballots to be received and counted up to three days after the election. Since the U.S. Supreme Court was deadlocked 4-4 because John Roberts joined the liberal justices, and because there’s no 9th justice, the court allowed the ruling by the state court to stand. The coups de grace is that ballots will be received and counted “even if they don’t have a clear postmark, as long as there is not proof it was mailed after the polls closed.” That means unless you affirmatively saw Joe Blow physically submitting his ballot and got photographic proof of the actual ballot, there’s nothing that will stand in the way of that ballot being counted. Three days after the election. Without a clear postmark. Holy balls.

Republicans said, hey, wait a minute. Federal statute sets the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November as Election Day. Dia. Which has the same number of syllables as uno. One. Day. Remember when Trump tossed out the idea that maybe Election Day could be moved, instead of all the states changing their election rules for coronavirus to include the mail-in ballots? Remember the outrage? Those critics have scattered to the corners.

But, there’s more! Remember the signature on the ballot that is checked against voter registrations to supposedly ensure voter integrity? Take a seat.

Another Pennsylvania state Supreme Court ruling on Friday held that the signatures on the registration and the ballot don’t have to match. In September, Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar issued guidance that election workers would do no signature matching. The GOP sued to stop her, but Friday’s ruling seems to have settled the issue unless it goes back to John Roberts and the liberal wing of SCOTUS again. All this chicanery to fight COVID-19.

The GOP and Trump campaign sued the largest county in Nevada on Friday to prevent the separation of the ballot from its envelope until GOP election observers can get a better look at the ballots. The issue stems from Clark County, where 70% of the state’s residents reside. The GOP says local officials were preventing poll watchers from observing the processing of votes by keeping them 25 feet away and therefore cannot “meaningfully observe” the process.

Voting by fax? This guy claims to have done it.

Usually, only people wearing the uniform of our country can vote like this, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures

Sending voted ballots electronically—via fax, email or web portal—is most often reserved for voters who fall under the federal Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA).

Four states—Arizona, Colorado, Missouri, and North Dakota—allow the use of some sort of digital portal to vote. What could go wrong?

Finally for this week, this Washington State resident is upset that his favorite candidate for president is not on the ballot.

Where’s Yeezy?

Until next week.
