Did Biden Just Lie or Suffer Cognitive Failure During Rally?

In 2016, Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton justified her rationale for once admitting that she held both public and private positions on some of the same issues. Clinton said during a debate that after watching the 2012 biographical drama “Lincoln,” she appreciated how the first Republican president, portrayed by actor Daniel Day-Lewis, used his sharp…

Dennis Prager: We Never Should Have Shut Down – Sweden Stayed Open and COVID Has Now Run Its Course

Four months ago, I wrote a column titled “The Worldwide Lockdown May Be the Greatest Mistake in History.” I explained that “‘mistake’ and ‘evil’ are not synonyms. The lockdown is a mistake; the Holocaust, slavery, communism, fascism, etc., were evils. Massive mistakes are made by arrogant fools; massive evils are committed by evil people.” Regarding…

Dan Calabrese: These Are the Questions That Will Matter After 2020 & Nobody’s Asking Them

The next president will not spend the next four years dealing with the coronavirus. The next president will not spend the next four years debating who’s to blame for urban riots. Yet we’re enduring a campaign that would make you think nothing else matters. The year 2020 has been an outlier in so many ways,…

Op-Ed: In 1793 America Faced a Pandemic & Riots – Here’s How We Survived

It is a little-remembered historical fact that in the very first decade of the history of the United States, a far more terrible pandemic than our coronavirus wreaked political and social havoc on the presidency, the Congress and the people. In the late summer of 1793, exactly 227 years ago, in Philadelphia, the temporary capital…

‘I Just Wanna Thank Every Single One of You For the Support’ – Kyle Rittenhouse Speaks From County Jail (VIDEO)

Kyle Rittenhouse

17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse thanked everyone for their outpouring support on Tuesday while he was on the phone with his lawyer John Pierce.

“I just wanna thank every single one of you from the bottom of my heart for the underlining support,” Rittenhouse said on speaker phone. “I just want to thank all of you for the mail I’ve been receiving. It’s been really helpful.”

He continued, “I just want to let you all know that I’m going to be out of here soon…I hope to see you guys soon.”

WATCH:

Last week an Illinois judge postponed a decision on whether 17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse should be returned to Wisconsin to face charges after he killed two men in self defense.

Rittenhouse was arrested last Wednesday and is currently being held at a Lake County juvenile center.

The teen was hit with 6 charges on Thursday:

  • 1)1st-Degree Reckless Homicide
    2)1st-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety.
    3)1st-Degree Intentional Homicide
    4) Attempt 1st-Degree Intentional Homicide
    5)1st-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety
    6) Possession Dangerous Weapon (Misd.)

Kyle Rittenhouse shot 36-year-old Joseph Rosenbaum after Rosenbaum chased the teen, threw something at him and tried to take away his firearm.

According to the criminal complaint, the medical examiner found that Rosenbaum was shot in the groin, back and hand. He also suffered a superficial graze wound on his left thigh and a graze wound to the side of his head.

Rosenbaum was also a convicted sex offender involving a crime with a minor.

26-year-old Anthony Huber beat Kyle Rittenhouse with a skateboard before he was shot dead.

Rittenhouse was being chased by a BLM mob when he tripped and fell. At this point, Huber bashed him in the back of the head/neck with a skateboard. Rittenhouse defended himself and shot Huber in the chest. Huber immediately dropped and died.

26-year-old Gaige Grosskreutz had his arm partially blown off after he aggressively rushed at 17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse, who had just tripped and fallen while being chased by the BLM mob.

Grosskreutz had a gun in his hand when he ran up to Rittenhouse, so in self defense, the 17-year-old discharged his weapon, blew off part of Grosskreutz’s arm, saving his own life.

Rittenhouse was about to get a bullet to the head, but he acted quickly and shot Grosskreutz in self defense.

WATCH (GRAPHIC):

A friend of Gaige’s said that his only regret was not being able to kill 17-year-old Rittenhouse.

“So the kid shot gaige as he drew his weapon and gaige retreated with his gun in hand. I just talked to Gaige Grosskreutz too his only regret was not killing the kid and hesitating to pull the gun before emptying the entire mag into him. Coward,” a friend of Grosskreutz wrote in a chat.

This statement by Grosskreutz’s friend is just more evidence that Rittenhouse acted in self defense.

‘A Serious Deprivation Of Our Rights’: San Francisco Archbishop Pleads With Mayor To Ease Coronavirus Restrictions

The archbishop of San Francisco claimed Monday that the city government is depriving Catholics of their religious rights and urged Democratic Mayor London Breed and public health officials to “at a minimum, remove the excessive limits on outdoor public worship.”

Archbishop Salvatore J. Cordileone explained in a public letter the importance of gathering together physically to celebrate the Mass, and pointed out that “San Francisco is the only government in the entire Bay Area that restricts public gatherings to 12 people out of doors.” He also referenced a study by “three major infectious disease specialists” that over one million public [M]asses have been celebrated following guidelines to prevent the spread of the virus…for Catholic churches following these guidelines, no outbreaks of COVID-19 have been linked to church attendance.”

Cordileone continued:

Ours and others’ faith is being treated as less important than a trip to the hardware store, or a nice dinner out on the patio. This denial of access to safe outdoor public worship is a serious deprivation of our rights as Americans under the First Amendment and our spiritual needs as people of faith. One million public Masses without any Covid outbreaks demonstrates that it is just as safe in San Francisco as in other parts of the state, such as San Mateo County, to permit large gatherings for outdoor public worship with reasonable safety precautions.

Read the archbishop’s full statement here.

San Francisco’s strict lockdown order applies not just to churches, but on businesses such as hair salons and barber shops. The city’s congresswoman, Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, made headlines Tuesday when footage emerged of her getting her hair done in a salon that was otherwise shut down.

As reported by Catholic San Francisco, the mayor’s updated reopening schedule includes “a potential mid-September expansion of outdoor worship services to 50 people from the current limit of 12. Indoor worship is listed as a goal for the end of September, with gatherings of up to 25 or 25% of capacity.

Cordileone added his voice to the chorus of California church leaders who are speaking out against what they claim as onerous lockdown orders against houses of worship and other establishments the state has deemed non-essential.

Just south of San Francisco in Santa Clara County, North Valley Baptist Church was smacked with a $10,000 fine recently after county agents inspected their service to see if congregants were singing while gathered indoors. As The Daily Wire reported, a four-age notice plastered on the church’s door informed it that it was being fined for holding two indoor services during which singing took place.

Senior Pastor Jack Trieber told state and local authorities in a Facebook video, “I plead with you, back off. Open up the spiritual environment of this valley immediately because we’re going to see chaos. I’m not threatening that we’re going to create chaos … but I am willing to take a stand.”

In a similar case, Los Angeles County terminated a parking lot lease it held with Grace Community Church last week, after Pastor John MacArthur and the congregation took them to court after they threatened daily fines for resuming in-person assembly.

Pelosi Admits Breaking Lockdown For Salon Visit; Blames Business, Says She Did Nothing Wrong

On Tuesday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) released a statement via her deputy chief of staff confessing to breaking city lockdown rules to get her hair done indoors at a San Francisco salon on Monday, seemingly without wearing a mask.

Pelosi, however, is not admitting to any wrongdoing, instead shifting blame to the salon she visited.

“The Speaker always wears a mask and complies with local COVID requirements,” said a statement Pelosi’s deputy chief of staff Drew Hammill, according to FOX KTVU.

“This business offered for the Speaker to come in on Monday and told her they were allowed by the city to have one customer at a time in the business,” Hammill added. “The Speaker complied with the rules as presented to her by this establishment.”

“Security footage taken from the small business and provided to Fox News appears to confirm the salon owner’s allegation, showing the leading House Democrat with wet hair and no mask walking through the shop on Monday,” The Daily Wire reported earlier on Tuesday. “Hair salons across the city were allowed to open for outdoor services only on Monday for the first time since March.”

“It was a slap in the face that she went in, you know, that she feels that she can just go and get her stuff done while no one else can go in, and I can’t work,” eSalon owner Erica Kious told Fox News. “We’re supposed to look up to this woman, right? … It is just disturbing.”

The Daily Wire noted, “While salons have been allowed to open in limited capacity, stylists still are ‘not supposed to blow dry hair’ according to coronavirus safety guidelines, Kious said. The government also mandates that masks be worn at all times inside the salon itself.”

According to KTVU, salons, which have been crushed by COVID-related restrictions, “may only cut hair outdoors under new rules that took effect [Tuesday].”

“Kious’ small business does not employ any workers directly, but rents out chairs to independent stylists. One of the stylists she works with texted her on Sunday that the speaker had requested a hair appointment,” The Daily Wire reported. “Kious’ business was not equipped to perform any appointments outside as mandated by coronavirus regulations, however.”

“I was like, are you kidding me right now? Do I let this happen?” Kious said of receiving the message concerning Pelosi.

“We have been shut down for so long, not just me, but most of the small businesses and I just can’t – it’s a feeling – a feeling of being deflated, helpless and honestly beaten down,” she described. “I have been fighting for six months for a business that took me 12 years to build to reopen.”

“I am a single mom, I have two small children, and I have no income,” added Kious. “The fact that they did this, and she came in, it’s like a slap in the face.”

In Unprecedented Move, CDC Halts Most Rental Evictions Until End Of 2020

In Unprecedented Move, CDC Halts Most Rental Evictions Until End Of 2020

Tyler Durden

Tue, 09/01/2020 – 20:30

In an unprecedented move on Tuesday, with Congress unable to reach a common ground on virtually any stimulus extension, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention unveiled today it would temporarily – at least through the end of 2020 – suspend most rental evictions for Americans struggling to pay rent due to the pandemic, in a step which CNN dubbed was "broader than eviction protections already in place." The move comes as negotiations on further coronavirus aid have been stalled as Republicans and Democrats refuse to budge on topline numbers for what a new relief package would cost.

In a phone call with reporters, officials said the order will apply to Americans who qualified for direct payments under the CARES Act.

To be sure there are some hurdles: renters will have to prove that they’ve taken "best efforts possible to seek government assistance to make their rental payments," and will have to "declare that they are unable to pay rent due to Covid financial hardship," and must show they "will likely become homeless or move into congregate housing settings if they are evicted", but that should not be a problem for anyone willing to live rent free indefinitely.

Renters will also have to fill out several forms, found on the CDC’s website, and give them directly to their landlords to qualify for the program.

"This will be a declaration presented to the landlord, if that landlord approaches a tenant with an intent to evict,” an official said. Because the move is federally mandated, it “would become a criminal offence” if the landlord chose to ignore the declaration. But it could still end up in courts, possibly leading to legal actions that could show up on background checks or credit reports.

And while landlords are being effectively stripped of most if not all of their rights with this extraordinary intervention, they will still be able to remove tenants for "committing criminal acts, threatening the health and safety of other residents, damaging property or other health and safety considerations," an official added although good luck getting through to the local police station and reporting a crime in a country where defunding the local law enforcement is seen as the pinnacle of progressive thought.

"To the extent that there is a dispute between the landlord and the renter about whether or not an eviction protection is in place here, it can be filed, and that would be for the local courts, which are not federal to adjudicate,” an official said, without clarifying how long before defunding the local courts becomes the next progressive ideal. On the other hand, in places like Portland they won’t even have to do that: after all, everyone arrested for rioting is released the next day with the blessing of the judicial branch so they can resume rioting post haste.

Under the CARES Act, only renters in federally-backed rental units were protected from eviction. “This covers any rental unit in United States, so long as the renter meets those requirements, where they’ve demonstrated that they are at risk of becoming evicted,” an official said. There’s also currently a moratorium on evictions for federally-backed, single family home mortgages.

Realizing that this was nothing short of an invitation to stop paying rent, a CDC official said pointblankthis "is not an invitation to stop paying rent." It was unclear how many in the audience laughed. "The order makes clear that a renter who cannot pay his or her full rent should pay an amount that is not unduly burdensome, and as close to payment as possible."

The landlords are surely holding their breath (their best and only recourse… although if they hold it long enough they will surely get a Fed bailout too).

As for those asking just why on earth a decision to halt evictions is being made by the CDC and not say… Congress, an official said "the CDC director has authority to take measures that he’s reasonably necessary to mitigate the spread of communicable disease."

“Congress has delegated broad authority to HHS, the Surgeon General and CDC, to take reasonable efforts to combat the spread of communicable diseases, and frankly I think it makes sense for those authorities abroad because we don’t know for any given situation or scenario what steps will be needed to stop the spread,” an administration official said. “I think, in this particular order, the CDC has made a very compelling case that it is quite problematic at this particular time. It’s focused on this particular pandemic, which is obviously the uniquely powerful grasp in the nation’s entire history in terms of the effect it’s had that for a bunch of reasons in particular, that the home has been sort of the focal point of people social distancing and building, sort of a safe space themselves over the past few months, and also the fact that if people get kicked out, they may end up in overcrowded congregated living facilities or homeless shelters, and that is a potential recipe for a big spread of COVID-19.”

Asked why that authority wasn’t being used to enact a federal mask mandate, officials refused to answer because the question didn’t "have to do with the call at hand."

Finally, confirming the political nature of the decision, deputy press secretary Brian Morgenstern said the action “means that people struggling to pay rent due to the coronavirus will not have to worry about being evicted and risk further spreading of or exposure to the disease due to economic hardship,” and attacked Democrats on the hill.

Officials did not answer questions about how that legal action could impact credit or future housing options.

And with that, we now wait for the CDC to start sending unemployment benefits and buying Apple bonds.

ICE Arrested Over 2K Illegal Aliens Last Month, Including Killers, Rapists

The Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency has arrested more than 2,000 criminal illegal alien fugitives, living across the United States, over the last month.

Between July 13 and August 20, agents arrested more than 2,000 illegal aliens who were wanted by ICE. About 85 percent of the 2,000 arrested had criminal convictions or pending criminal charges against them.

These include:

  • 388 convictions for assault
  • 291 convictions for domestic violence
  • 136 convictions for neglect or cruelty towards a family member
  • 83 convictions for sex crimes, including rape
  • 71 convictions for sex crimes against children
  • 29 convictions for hit-and-run
  • 23 convictions for harassment
  • 20 convictions for robbery
  • 14 convictions for homicide
  • 12 convictions for contributing to delinquency of a minor
  • 11 convictions for identity theft
  • Nine convictions for kidnapping
  • One conviction for rioting
  • One conviction for arson

Each of the illegal aliens convicted for crimes leave behind countless American and legal immigrant victims.

“The aliens targeted during this operation preyed on men, women, and children in our communities, committing serious crimes and, at times, repeatedly hurting their victims,” ICE official Tony Pham said in a statement. He went on the say:

By focusing our efforts on perpetrators of crimes against people, we’re able to remove these threats from our communities and prevent future victimization from occurring. Through our targeted enforcement efforts, we are eliminating the threat posed by these criminals, many of whom are repeat offenders.

Last fiscal year, ICE agents arrested illegal aliens with more than 1,900 convictions and charges for homicide, 1,800 for kidnapping, 12,000 sex crimes, 5,000 sexual assaults, 45,000 assaults, 67,000 drug crimes, 10,000 weapons violations, and 74,000 DUIs.

Likewise, ICE agents deported more than a quarter of a million illegal aliens last year.
