WATCH: ‘Presiding Over The Abuse Of Children’: Abbott Slams Biden After Allegations Of Sexual Abuse Of Immigrant Children

Speaking to the press on Wednesday, Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott blasted the Biden administration after allegations surfaced that immigrant children were being sexually abused at a federal detention facility in San Antonio, Texas. Abbott snapped, “These problems are a by-product of President Biden’s open border policies and the lack of planning for the fallout from those disastrous policies.” The Biden administration, the governor said, “is now presiding over the abuse of children.”

“Earlier today, The Texas Health and Human Services Commission and the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services separately received tips that allege child abuse and neglect at the federal government’s Child and Migrant facility at the Freeman Coliseum in San Antonio behind me,” said Gov. Abbott. “These problems are a by-product of President Biden’s open border policies and the lack of planning for the fallout from those disastrous policies.”

“Complaints that were sent to these state agencies include the following four things: Children at this facility are being sexually assaulted. Second, there are not enough staff to safely supervise the children at this facility. Third, some children in this facility are not eating throughout the day. And fourth, children with COVID are not being physically separated from children without COVID,” Abbott continued.

“In short, this facility is a health and safety nightmare,” Abbott charged. “The Biden administration is now presiding over the abuse of children. To end this abuse, the Biden administration must immediately shut down this facility. The children who are in this facility should be moved to other federal-run facilities where the federal government has space, personnel, and resources to ensure their safety.”

“While we wait on the Biden administration to act, I am directing the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Texas Rangers to immediately begin investigating these allegations,” Abbott promised. “That investigation will be headed by Richard Henderson; he is the Senior Texas Ranger lieutenant taking the Department of Public Safety lead on this investigation.”

“The Biden administration has caused this crisis and has repeatedly failed to address it,” Abbott stated. “The Biden administration opened borders; the administration failed to plan for the influx of children they invited to come. Now they face allegations of despicable child abuse and neglect.”

“This must end,” he said bluntly. “The Biden administration must act now. This facility should shut down immediately; the children should be moved to better-staffed and better-secured locations, and Texas Department of Public Safety and Texas Rangers must immediately investigate allegations of child sex abuse.”

Answering a question from a reporter, Abbott stated, “The complaints were received by two separate state agencies this morning. … As you may know, they were required by law to pass that on to the appropriate legal authority, which they did.”

He asserted, “The Biden administration has already said they have other locations across the entire country. Certainly they must have locations that have better staff, better safety measures, situations where children would not be subject to abuse like this.”

Not Making National News: Former NFL Pro Guns Down Five People in South Carolina Including a Doctor and His Two Grandchildren


Christian doctor and author of “Angels in the ER”, Dr. Robert D. Lesslie, was murdered in his home on Wednesday afternoon along with his wife and 2 grandchildren (+1 person of unknown relation) by former NFL player Phillip Adams.

NFL Pro Phillip Adams shot the family dead at the doctor’s home.

MSN reported:

Five people were killed — including a prominent doctor, his wife and their two young grandchildren — in a shooting at a home near the South Carolina city of Rock Hill on Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.

A sixth person also was injured in the shooting, and authorities eventually found a suspect in the suspect’s home nearby, York County sheriff’s officials said early Thursday without elaborating.

Investigators believe the suspect was the only assailant, and are trying to figure out why anyone would have gunned down Dr. Robert Lesslie and some members of his family, sheriff’s spokesman Trent Faris said.

The slain grandchildren were ages 5 and 9, the York County Coroner’s Office said.

Horowitz: Texas school district warns of danger from illegal alien car chases over the border

Rural America is generally safer from crime, but not if you are unfortunate enough to live in a rural county near the Mexican border. As the politicians and the media focus the attention of the border crisis on the needs of the illegal aliens held in detention, they never focus on the terrible effects mass illegal immigration foists upon Americans living near the border.

Cotulla is a small town about 60 miles north of the international border at Laredo, Texas. Yet it is so affected by the invasion over our border that the school district sent out a letter to parents and administrators warning them to protect the children from the endless car chases and bailouts of criminal aliens in the region.

"Please be watchful of your children as they are playing outside, walking home from school, or generally out of the house," warns Cotulla Independent School District Superintendent Jack Seals and La Salle Sheriff Anthony Zertuche in a joint notice to the community. "Both our communities and the rural areas of the county have experienced a great increase in law enforcement chases and ‘bailouts.’"

The sheriff goes on to warn the citizens about 8-10 car chases and bailouts a day and encourages the locals to lock their cars and not keep valuables outside.

This cuts to the core dereliction of the federal government, which in many ways undermines its entire legitimacy. The purpose of the federal government is to keep us safe from foreign threats. These communities, which would otherwise have minimal internal crime, are now faced with high-speed car chases, rampant theft, and menacing criminal aliens and drug carriers attacking their ranches.

It was recently announced that the border numbers for March were higher than any level in 15 years, with over 170,000 apprehensions. Many of those people are ultimately released and sent out on buses, but tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of others have never been apprehended, but are able to get into the country while Border Patrol is busy caring for illegal aliens rather than protecting the ranchers and border citizens from them. Those are the people we should really be concerned about.

Border Patrol has already apprehended three times the typical number of sex offenders, and given the amount of money they pay the cartels to cross clandestinely, it’s likely that many more successfully evade capture. In other words, the world’s criminal enterprises are all converging on our border and trespassing on the private property of our fellow Americans.

One rancher, Cyndie, who owns a lot of property south of La Pryor in Maverick County, Texas, posted on a private Facebook page that her husband was assaulted by a group of illegal aliens when he found them hiding out in their lodge. When they called Border Patrol, they were told they didn’t have the resources to come out, a complaint I’ve heard from many ranchers. Eventually, the sheriff’s deputies caught them, but were forced to release them immediately.

Cyndie told me yesterday that when she got home from work, she found sheriff’s SUVs parked across from her mailbox and two Border Patrol vehicles in the ditch on the ranch. When she went to check it out, she heard a helicopter hovering. "Then he [the helicopter pilot] ducked down and went towards the bush, and he’s trying to flush out a big group that was on the property, so I ran to the house for safety and my husband joined their search," she told me. "It’s so sad that we have to live this way."

On Monday, Deputy Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz stated that "way over 100,000 people" have gotten away from Border Patrol this week. Who do you think those people are? Girl Scouts? Our ranchers are the first victims of their invasion, but they don’t necessarily stay at the border. They come to all 50 states, and we have no idea who they are. Earlier this week, CBP announced the capture of two Yemeni nationals on the FBI’s terror watch list at the California border earlier this year.

Again, how many terrorists, sex offenders, and previously deported criminals have not been caught? With Border Patrol now expecting 184,000 unaccompanied minors this year, how many hundreds of thousands of criminals will they enable to cross our border while tying down our agents with "humanitarian" missions? How much money will pile up in the coffers of the cartels to further facilitate their human smuggling and drug operations? And how will such a mass flow of criminal activity affect the border counties?

As one rancher, Jessica, wrote on a private Facebook page of border citizens about current life as far as 100 miles from the border:

Friends who do not live near our Southern border, I invite you to read this then close your eyes imagine this is your life.

It’s 7:30pm on a Monday, your husband is outside working, your oldest is outside playing with baby kittens, your middle baby is in the shower and your littlest baby is outside enjoying playing in the dirt (supervised) while you wash dishes. You get a call from a concerned friend there has been another bail out, only this time, a 1/2 mile from your house and less than a 1/4 from your parents. You normally receive an emergency alert from the local sheriff’s department but not this time. You aren’t given much information. Number of criminals – unknown. All you know is there is an unidentified number of illegals running from local law enforcement somewhere in your area. For a moment you think F this. We aren’t stopping what we are doing. We have protection and this is starting to interfere with our daily lives. Then you remember, our border patrol agents are being shot, children are being left to die, vehicles are being stolen and left with only the kind of evidence you see on CSI and for most there is no punishment. You find a gun, grab your spouse, bring everyone inside and lock the doors. You watch and listen carefully. You can’t help but look at your children and wonder why United States of America has a President that couldn’t care less about its citizens.

This THIS is what it is like living 107 miles from the Mexican border. This is not a story fabricated by President Trump or Republicans. This crisis doesn’t care about your skin color or who you voted for, only your location. How fortunate some of you are to look at this situation and pretend it’s make believe.

Should the protection of American ranchers against these people take priority over the care of the hundreds of thousands trying to surrender to agents to freeload in our system? Where is their vaccine passport to cross the border as Americans are now facing the prospect of needing one to function within their own cities?

The bottom line is that our government and its law enforcement resources were created for the benefit of our people. It’s time to use them for that cause.

NY To Give Illegal Immigrants COVID Checks Of Up To $15,600, Republicans Hit Back: ‘In New York, It Pays To Break The Law’

New York will offer “one-time payments of up to $15,600 to undocumented immigrants who lost work during the pandemic,” according to reports.

With a price tag of $2.1 billion, “The fund, which could provide payments to hundreds of thousands of people excluded from other pandemic relief, ignited a battle among state lawmakers before it was approved this week,” according to The New York Times.

“When the coronavirus arrived in New York City a year ago, it hit enclaves of undocumented immigrants with a fury, killing thousands and wiping out the service and construction jobs that kept many families afloat,” the New York Times report began. “Lifelines like unemployment insurance and federal stimulus checks were out of reach because undocumented people are ineligible for most government aid. Instead, they have relied on food pantries, lenient landlords and loans from friends.”

“But after a sweeping move by lawmakers this week,” the report continued, “New York will now offer one-time payments of up to $15,600 to undocumented immigrants who lost work during the pandemic. The effort — a $2.1 billion fund in the state budget — is by far the biggest of its kind in the country and a sign of the state’s shift toward policies championed by progressive Democrats.”

The lead proponent of the policy, New York state Sen. Jessica Ramos, said “I’ve met neighbors who have not been able to pay rent, or put food on the table, or been able to provide their children with a laptop when a public school has not been able to provide one.”

“The excluded workers fund, part of the state’s new $212 billion budget deal that was reached on Tuesday, was one of the most contentious points of debate during negotiations, which dragged on past the April 1 deadline,” according to The New York Times.

This giveaway for illegal immigrants is far larger than California’s 2020 “cash assistance policy,” which spent $75 million providing “undocumented immigrants” with a one-time payment of $500.

“Undocumented workers could receive up to $15,600, the equivalent of $300 per week for the last year, if they can verify that they were state residents, ineligible for federal unemployment benefits and lost income as a result of the pandemic,” The New York Times added.

Republicans slammed the decision to provide illegal immigrants with any funding at all, let alone far more than legal residents received through stimulus payments

Sen. Bill Hagerty (R-TN) tweeted, “It matters who governs.”

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) also reacted on Twitter, writing, “Why are taxes high in New York? So the government can pay illegal immigrants up to $15,600. In New York, it pays to break the law.”

Jason Rantz added, “You can’t make this up.”

Study: Biden Tax Hikes Will Cost 1 Million Jobs in First Two Years


President Biden’s tax hike plan would cost the American economy one million lost jobs in the first two years, according to a study from the National Association of Manufacturers.

The study, released Thursday, details the long and short-term damage to the economy inflicted by Biden’s tax hikes and repeals of Trump’s pro-manufacturing policies.

NAM President and CEO Jay Timmons summarized the studies findings:

“After decades of advocating for a tax system that provided competitive rates and modern international tax provisions, manufacturers in America kept our promises following the enactment of the 2017 tax reforms: we raised wages and benefits, we hired more American workers, and we invested in our communities. If we undo those reforms, all of that will be put at significant risk. Manufacturing workers will lose out on jobs, growth and raises. We should be building on that progress, not rolling it back. But the conclusion of this study is inescapable—follow through with tax hikes that give other countries a clear advantage and we’ll see far fewer jobs created in America.”

The study, authored by Rice University economists John W. Diamond and George R. Zodrow, calculated the effects of increasing the corporate tax rate to 28%, increasing the top marginal tax rate, repealing the 20% pass-through deduction, eliminating certain expensing provisions, and taxing capital gains as ordinary income for individuals earning $1 million or more.

They found that the U.S. would lose one million jobs in the first two years, GDP would be $117 billion lower by 2023, and ordinary capital, or investments in equipment and structures, would be $80 billion less in 2023.

“There are some who are well-meaning and have suggested that the U.S. corporate tax rate should increase, but not by as much as the 28% proposed. Unfortunately, what that means is that America will still lose jobs and investment, just not quite as much. America just can’t afford that, especially now,” Timmons said.

Migrant Apprehensions Jump 72 Percent in One Month — Up 450 Percent from Last March


Border Patrol agents apprehended nearly 170,000 migrants in March who illegally crossed the border into the United States. This represents an increase of nearly 72 percent in one month.

During the month of March, Border Patrol agents took 168,195 migrants after they illegally entered the U.S. from Mexico according to the Southwest Land Border Encounters report released on Thursday by U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

“CBP has experienced an increase in encounters and arrests. This is not new. Encounters have continued to increase since April 2020, and our past experiences have helped us be better prepared for the challenges we face this year,” said CBP Senior Official Performing the Duties of the Commissioner Troy Miller in a written statement. “We are committed to balancing the need to maintain border security, care for those in our custody, and keep the American people and our workforce safe.”

While Miller says this is “not new,” it is exponential unprecedented growth as indicated by the blue line in the following CBP chart.

During the first two full months of the Biden Administration (Feb-Mar), agents apprehended nearly 210,000 migrants. This compares to just over 280,000 during the last four months of the Trump administration combined.

CBP reports apprehending 30,389 migrants in March 2020. The March 2021 apprehension of 168,195 represents an increase of more than 450 percent over last year. Compared to the 2019 migrant border crisis, the apprehensions sat at 92,833.

Last month, agents apprehended 18,663 Unaccompanied Alien Children (up from 9,271 in February), 52,904 Family Unit Aliens (up from 19,286), and 96,628 Single Adults (up from 68,992).

The Rio Grande Valley Sector continues to lead the nine southwest border sectors with 159,470 apprehensions so far this fiscal year (which began on October 1, 2020). This represents an increase of 243 percent compared to FY2020 year-to-date statistics.
