New Book Confirms Fauci’s NIH Funded Wuhan Bat-COVID Experiments At Understaffed Chinese Lab
Last April, the Washington Post‘s Josh Rogin revealed that in January 2018, the US Embassy in Beijing "took the unusual step of repeatedly sending US science diplomats to the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV)," and subsequently sent two official warnings back to Washington about "inadequate safety at the lab."
Now, Rogin is out with a new book; "Chaos Under Heaven: Trump, Xi, and the Battle for the Twenty-First Century," where he offers a 10,000-foot view of the evidence implicating the Wuhan Institute of Virology in the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic, while also confirming that the US National Institutes of Health (NIH) – headed by Dr. Anthony Fauci, "had funded a number of projects that involved WIV scientists, including much of the Wuhan lab’s work with bat coronaviruses."
The punchline hasn’t changed; if one simply connects the dots and applies a modicum of logic, the fact that COVID-19 emerged "on the doorstep of the lab that possessed one of the world’s largest collections of bat coronaviruses and that possessed the closest known relative of SARS-CoV-2," after years of performing so-called "gain-of-function" research modifying animal viruses to better infect humans (and which the Obama administration banned in October 2014 in the United States), and you have American diplomats reporting that they were "shocked" that Chinese researchers "didn’t have enough properly trained technicians to safely operate their BSL-4 lab," and the likelihood of COVID-19 having escaped from WIV seems like a foregone conclusion.
The Wuhan Institute of Virology had openly participated in gain-of-function research in partnership with U.S. universities and institutions. But the official told me the U.S. government had evidence that Chinese labs were performing gain-of-function research on a much larger scale than was publicly disclosed, meaning they were taking more risks in more labs than anyone outside China was aware of. Rogin also notes that in July 2020, a little-noticed study by a group of Chinese researchers in Beijing, "including several affiliated with the Academy of Military Medical Science," who said they had created a new model for studying SARS-CoV-2 "by creating mice with human-like lung characteristics by using the CRISPR gene-editing technology to give the mice lung cells with the human ACE2 receptor – the receptor that allowed coronaviruses to so easily infect human lungs."
After consultations with experts, some U.S. officials came to believe this Beijing lab was likely conducting coronavirus experiments on mice fitted with ACE2 receptors well before the coronavirus outbreak—research they hadn’t disclosed and continued not to admit to. In its January 15 statement, the State Department alleged that although the Wuhan Institute of Virology disclosed some of its participation in gain-of-function research, it has not disclosed its work on RaTG13 and “has engaged in classified research, including laboratory animal experiments, on behalf of the Chinese military since at least 2017.” That, by itself, did not help to explain how SARS-CoV-2 originated.But it was clear that officials believed there was a lot of risky coronavirus research going on in Chinese labs that the rest of the world was simply not aware of. -Josh Rogin
"This was just a peek under a curtain of an entire galaxy of activity, including labs and military labs in Beijing and Wuhan playing around with coronaviruses in ACE2 mice in unsafe labs," a senior US official told Rogin. "It suggests we are getting a peek at a body of activity that isn’t understood in the West or even has precedent here."
As a result of China’s ‘pattern of deception and obfuscation,’ about their COVID research, some Trump administration officials became increasingly convinced that CCP officials were manipulating scientific data to fit their narrative. The problem, however, is that there was so little transparency from Beijing that it was impossible for US officials to prove whether SARS-CoV-2 came from a Chinese lab or not.
"If there was a smoking gun, the CCP [Communist Party of China] buried it along with anyone who would dare speak up about it," a US official told Rogin. "We’ll probably never be able to prove it one way or the other, which was Beijing’s goal all along."
Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) told Breitbart News on Wednesday that Democrat representatives, not Republicans, are being provided Secret Service protection per House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) directives.
The federal government built concrete barriers alongside fencing with razor wire surrounding the Capitol following violent riots on January 6, ostensibly to protect against a threat of “domestic terrorism” from conservative supporters of former President Donald Trump.
Tuberville contrasted Washington, DC’s, reaction to unrest on January 6 with dozens of violent and destructive leftist-driven riots in large American cities in 2020.
“In the last year, we had 230 riots,” Tuberville said. “A lot of them were very disruptive, people [and police] injured, and then there’s one in here in Washington, DC, which should have never happened … on January 6th. People should go to jail. They are going to jail.”
Tuberville said he and his senator colleagues “have not been told one thing” about any intelligence regarding threats to their security related to increased security in the nation’s capital for politicians.

“This is all coming from the other end of the Capitol building, which is the House, Fort Pelosi,” Tuberville remarked. “Nancy Pelosi is in charge of all this. She was in charge of it when it all happened. The chief of police [and] sergeant-at-arms resigned, and [Pelosi] should have been right behind them, because she should have been on top of this.”
He added, “Now [Pelosi] wants to protect her and her group down there. They’ve all got huge [security]. American taxpayers are paying for these black SUVs with Secret Service going around with these all these Democratic congressmen up around the Hill, not Republicans, but Democrats.
“If you feel like you can’t handle this, go home,’ Tuberville said of Democrats framing themselves as threatened. “Just go home.”
Tuberville described the $1.9 trillion spending bill, marketed by Democrats and left-wing media as a “COVID-19 relief” package, as a “bank heist.”
“The two trillion dollars they passed … is not for COVID,” Tuberville stated. “It’s payback for getting elected, and paying all their buddies and these bad mayors and governors off across the country. We gave them $350 billion dollars, now how much could we use that for our roads and highways and for the military to actually help the American people?”
He remarked, “This was the biggest heist. It was a bank heist of the taxpayers’ money. … and we only debated it for 25 hours. and you’d think you would debate it for two or three weeks.”
“It’s the biggest scam to take American taxpayers’ money I’ve ever seen,” he added.
Tuberville contrasted President Joe Biden’s approach towards immigration with the White House’s supposed consideration of COVID-19 as a primary threat to national welfare.
“President Biden and the Democrats have to make a decision,” Tuberville determined. “Are they going to be for the American people, or are they going to be for illegal immigrants? Are they going be for getting rid of the pandemic, or are they going to be for illegal immigrants coming over and being given amnesty, citizenship, and a voting card? So they chose illegal immigrants, because the COVID is coming over with them every day.”
Tuberville said H.R. 1, named the For the People Act, would make America a one-party state run by Democrats if enacted as law.
If it were to pass, it’d be over,” he warned. “This country would be a Democrat socialist communist country in a short period of time, because there’d be no way that [Republicans] could get [elected]. Even in Alabama, I got sixty-something percent of the vote. We’re a huge red state — a conservative Christian state — but if they were to be able to manipulate [elections] through the federal government … I’d probably have a tough time winning in the state.
Tuberville noted left-wing and Democrat ideological hostility towards Christianity.
“They hate Christianity — absolutely hate it — so we’ve got to stay positive,” Tuberville concluded. “We understand why we’re here. Things will change it might get worse before it gets better, but we’ve got to stay with our moral values. We’ve got to fight for our kids in schools. We’ve got to fight for an education that teaches this country’s fundamentals, not this socialism communism junk that they’re teaching these kids. … I’ve been an educator for years, and it just really gets me sometimes.”
