Trump’s popularity tops that of leaders of every major Western power

For all our intelligentsia’s gloating claims about President Trump being unpopular, it’s worth nothing that his socialistic counterparts in Europe are even less popular, according to a new Zogby poll.

Zogby Analytics reports the following:

Citizens of France, Germany and UK not happy with Macron, Merkel and May; A majority of adults in France and UK dislike Macron and May; Nearly half of adults in Germany dislike Merkel

Zogby Analytics conducted online surveys of adults in the UK, France, and Germany 11/3/2017-11/7/2017. Based on a confidence interval of 95%, the margin of error for each sample is as follows:

The Washington Examiner summed up the findings from the Zogby charts as the following:

Zogby found the three European leaders below that:

  • Merkel approval 40 percent, disapproval 49 percent.
  • Macron approval 28 percent, disapproval 52 percent.
  • May approval 28 percent, disapproval 61 percent.

So much for the Beltway intelligentsia’s gloating emphasis on President Trump’s supposed low poll numbers compared to President Obama’s.

Zogby lists differing interpretations amid fine shades of gray for the low poll numbers, but the broad picture shows a lack of confidence in Western leadership in the age of technology.

A second pattern shows that more socialistic the leaders, the less likely they are to be liked. Angela Merkel, who invited in millions of Islamic haters to reside in her country and draw from its resources is in the worst shape and there is no doubt her unpopularity comes from a redistributionist bent even if she believes it’s her Christianity driving her.

May is from the Tory Party and nominally a conservative, but in reality liittle different from a garden variety socialist, given her foot-dragging on Brexit, and lack of leadership elsewhere. The only reason she can even claim the title of conservative is that her Labour counterpart, Jeremy Corbyn, is a far-left nut. It’s a question of relative values in Britain.

Macron is the most complicated – a socialist with a sense of double-entry bookkeeping, as befits his investment banking background. He wants the place to be socialist but he can’t bring himself to bust the books to do it, not the way Obama could. The French are generally socialist and voted for him as that, so they are not getting their vote’s worth, so it seems. Yet it’s important to note that Macron’s predecessor, Francois Hollande, was a free-spending, tax-happy leftist on the Obama model, and he was even more unpopular than Macron. The French seem to want low taxes, balanced books and socialism all at once and haven’t reconciled themselves to the tradeoffs inherent in keeping them all.

Trump’s popularity is far simpler. Voters could care less about Beltway minutia and intrigue, which is what the media is selling them. But they do notice that the economy is improving, jobs are back for the first time in years, GDP is topping 3.0% for the first time in a decade, regulations are down and the economy is going Reagan.

The nightmare of  Obamacare has yet to be thrown out, which probably accounts for some of the hold-back on popularity that the media is so fascinated by. Same with the tax cuts and the wretched stance a few congressional Republicans are stooping to, to block all economically helpful legislation solely because they hate Trump.

It’s telling that so much can be explained in terms of economics and their results. The more free market leadership a president can show, the more popular his numbers go.

Another Woman Accuses Franken of Groping: His Hand ‘Was Definitely on My Butt’

A second woman has come forward to accuse Sen. Al Franken (D., Minn.) of inappropriate touching, this time of groping her butt while serving as a senator.

Lindsay Menz, 33, contacted CNN with her story from 2010. Menz says she was at the state fair with her husband and father. Her father’s small business was sponsoring a local radio booth at the fair where she met various celebrities and elected officials and took pictures with them.

Menz recounted how she had a cordial conversation with Franken before they took a picture together. As they posed for the camera, Franken allegedly pulled Menz closer to him and placed his hand "tightly around" her butt cheek.

"[Franken] pulled me in really close, like awkward close, and as my husband took the picture, he put his hand full-fledged on my rear," Menz said. "It was wrapped tightly around my butt cheek."

Menz shared what was going through her mind at the time.

"It wasn’t around my waist. It wasn’t around my hip or side. It was definitely on my butt," Menz said. "I was like, oh my God, what’s happening."

Menz said the incident lasted for about three to four seconds.

After the picture was taken, Lindsay went to her husband and told him, "He totally grabbed my butt." Menz’s husband Jeremy Menz described the conversation the same way, according to CNN.

Jeremy was the one who took the picture and didn’t see Franken grab his wife’s behind, but did say the senator pulled his wife close to him.

"He reached around her and kind of pulled her into him," said her husband Jeremy Menz, who didn’t see what happened behind his wife. "He pulled her in and pushed his head against her head. It was over pretty quick."

Menz’s parents didn’t see the incident, but they did say their daughter told them what happened right away.

Jodi brown said she distinctly recalls her son-in-law saying to her: "Our senator just groped my wife right in front of me."

"I felt gross. It’d be like being walking through the mall and some random person grabbing your butt," Lindsay Menz said. "You just feel gross. Like ew, I want to wash that off of me."

The photo was posted at the time on Facebook and Menz responded to comment from her sister, Cari Thunker, "Franken…molested me," CNN reported.

In the photo of Menz and Franken, the side of the senator’s face is pressed up against Menz’s but the lower halves of their bodies are not shown. Both of them are smiling.

Menz posted the photo with Franken on Facebook at the time, on August 27, 2010. Her sister, Cari Thunker, commented under the photo: "Sorry, but you two aren’t Bibles (sic) width apart" — a reference, Thunker explained to CNN, to how physically close Menz and Franken were in the photo.

Menz responded to her sister on Facebook: "Dude — Al Franken TOTALLY molested me! Creeper!" (The exchange is visible to Menz’s Facebook friends.)

Franken released a statement to CNN on Sunday stating he doesn’t remember taking the picture and felt "badly" Menz left feeling disrespected.

"I take thousands of photos at the state fair surrounded by hundreds of people, and I certainly don’t remember taking this picture," Franken said. "I feel badly that Ms. Menz came away from our interaction feeling disrespected."

This is the second woman to come forward with allegations of Franken’s inappropriate sexual behavior.

Radio broadcaster Leeann Tweeden posted her story on the KABC radio station’s website on Thursday, alleging Franken kissed and groped her without consent. The allegations occurred in 2006 when Tweeden and Franken were performing on an USO tour for the troops in the Middle East.

In 2014, Menz and her family moved to Texas and have publicly supported both Democrats and Republicans with her husband favoring Republicans. Menz decided to contact CNN after a friend encouraged her to share her story. Menz agreed only after Tweeden came forward with her story.

"I don’t want to paint my story in the same light as hers," Menz said, believing what happened to Tweeden was much worse. "The reason I want to say something is if someone sees that I said something, maybe it would give them the courage to say something too."

The US government is warning that North Korean state-sponsored hackers have been targeting the aerospace, telecommunications, and finance sectors since 2016 with malware that can secretly take over a computer.

The Department of Homeland Security and the FBI issued a joint alert Tuesday, which includes technical details about Fallchill, a Remote Administration Tool (RAT) that can give a hacker full control over a victim’s computer, allowing them to search, read, write and move files, modify file timestamps, and delete any trace of an infection.

North Korean hackers spread Fallchill in two ways: delivery through other malware or hacking a website and using it to serving malicious code to unsuspecting visitors. Tuesday’s alert includes the IP addresses of infected Fallchill systems; if Fallchill is found on a computer, users should flag it and report the incident to the DHS or FBI.

In recent years, North Korea has been accused of orchestrating several major cyberattacks, including the 2014 Sony Pictures Hack and a breach that accessed South Korean warship plans.

Also this week, the US also issued a technical alert for another piece of North Korean-linked malware called Volgmer. According to the alert, the hackers have been using the Trojan since 2013 to attack the government, as well as the automotive and media industries. It too can steal files from a victim’s computer, and usually comes from a spear phishing email attack.

Both technical alerts have more details on how companies can protect themselves from the threats. Running up-to-date software, restricting installs of unwanted software, and telling employees to never visit unsolicited links in emails, are among the suggestions.

Here’s How Much Your Identity Goes for on the Dark Web

How much is a stolen identity worth?

For people with high credit scores, a Social Security number, birth date, and full name can sell for $60 to $80 on the digital black market. It may not sound like much, but for hackers, a good credit score can fetch a nice premium. Some stolen identity information can go for as little as $1 per person, or even $0.10 when bought in bulk, according to a new report from security firm Flashpoint.

SecurityWatchThe findings won’t put anyone at ease. Over 145 million US citizens may have had their identity information stolen, thanks to the massive breach at credit reporting agency Equifax. The lifted data included Social Security numbers and birth dates, which hackers can use to commit identity theft, though it has not yet hit the digital black market, said Olivia Rowley, a Flashpoint intelligence analyst.

Flashpoint Darkweb Sale

Nevertheless, there’s still plenty of other identity information up for sale; millions of individual victims based on chatter on the forums, according to Rowley.

Flashpoint surveyed the prices in English-language dark web markets, accessible through Tor, a browser designed for anonymous web surfing. Basic stolen identity information on a US citizen, which only includes the Social Security number, full name and birth date, can range from $1 to $8 per person. But in some cases, hackers will package the offering with the victim’s stolen credit card information, and charge from $20 to $75.

Rowley said black market dealers have also offered credit scores, driver’s license numbers, and a tax returns. “You can really do a lot of damage on someone,” she said, like opening credit cards, getting a major loan in the victim’s name, and spending the money without having to pay it back.

Where the black market dealers are sourcing this stolen data isn’t always clear, but it usually comes from computer hacking, Rowley said. Cybercriminals like to target hospitals or schools because they collect lots of identity information.

There is some good news. After US and European authorities shut down two of the leading dark web markets, AlphaBay and Hansa Market, in July, it’s been harder for black market buyers and sellers to make deals, Rowley pointed out. Some dealers are also worried that authorities have compromised another network, Dream Market. The instability hasn’t affected pricing, Rowley said, but it has made the cybercriminals hesitant to engage.

Illegal Aliens Murdered US Border Patrol Agent by Crushing His Skull with Rocks

Illegal aliens murdered Border Patrol agent Rogelio Martinez while he was on patrol in the Van Horn station area.

The illegals crushed his skull with rocks.
Brandon Darby and Ildefonso Ortiz from Breitbart.com reported:

Exclusive details have emerged on the early morning attack against Border Patrol agents that left one agent dead and another hospitalized in serious condition on November, 19 2017. Breitbart Texas first broke the news of the death and injuries and now the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) says that their agents on the ground have stated that the agents were tracking a group of illegal aliens who then beat the agents with rocks until one was killed and the other hospitalized.

Border Patrol Agent Brandon Judd, also president of the NBPC, stated, “What we know is that Border Patrol Agent Rogilio Martinez appears to have been ambushed by a group of illegal aliens whom he was tracking. Our agents’ reports from the ground say that he was struck in the head multiple times with a rock or rocks.

Agent Judd continued, “The other agent arrived on scene a short time later and was also ambushed and struck in the head with what is believed to have been a rock or rocks. These disgusting acts and complete disregard for human life need to stop immediately. Family members of slain Agent Martinez will never get to see him come home again all because we have failed to secure our borders from such criminals.”

Shortly after Breitbart Texas broke the news of the incident, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) confirmed that one Border Patrol agent was dead and another hospitalized in serious condition.

Border Patrol Agent Rogelio Martinez was murdered and his partner was severely injured.

Writer quits feminist Lena Dunham’s newsletter, accuses her of ‘hipster racism’ in scathing letter

Zinzi Clemmons, a black writer at millennial feminist Lena Dunham’s newsletter, the Lenny Letter, has resigned from her position at the publication.

In a statement first published on Facebook Saturday — and shared Sunday on Twitter — Clemmons revealed that “hipster racism” was one of the reasons she decided to leave Lenny Letter.

What’s the background?

Clemmons began her statement by admitting that she’d taken issue with Dunham’s defense of a man accused of rape, as well as her subsequent statement on the matter.

Dunham was criticized after she defended her friend, writer Murray Miller, who was recently accused of rape by actress Aurora Perrineau. Perrineau was a minor when the incident reportedly occurred.

After receiving harsh criticism, Dunham appeared to backtrack from her original comments.

In a statement Saturday, Dunham said, “I naively believed it was important to share my perspective on my friend’s situation. I now understand that it was absolutely the wrong time to come forward with such a statement and I am so sorry.

“Every woman who comes forward deserves to be heard, fully and completely, and our relationship to the accused should not be part of the calculation anyone makes when examining her case,” she added. “We apologize to any woman who have been disappointed.”

What did Clemmons say?

Clemmons shared a screenshot of her statement on Twitter, captioning it, “My statement on why I will no longer write for @lennyletter, and the behavior I witnessed firsthand from @lenadunham’s friends.”

“It is time for women of color — black women in particular — to divest from Lena Dunham,” she said.

In the letter, Clemmons wrote, “As a result of Lena Dunham’s statements, I have decided that I will no longer write for Lenny Letter. For all you writers who are outraged about what she did, I encourage you to do the same. Especially women of color. She cannot have our words if she cannot respect us. To eliminate any doubt, I know exactly who Lena Dunham is — who she was before she was famous —and have for years.”

She added that she was well aware of Dunham’s college circle of friends, who would engage in what Clemmons called “hipster racism.”

“[Hipster racism typically] uses sarcasm as a cover, and in the end it looks a lot like gaslighting,” Clemmons explained. “‘It’s just a joke. Why are you overreacting?’ is a common response to these kinds of statements.”

Clemmons said that she was “overcome” after hearing Dunham defend a man accused of raping an underage actress several years ago — an incident which Clemmons said bore resemblance to an incident she witnessed her one of her best friends having to endure during college.

“Let’s hold Lena accountable, and to me, that means sacrificing some comfort and a little bit of cash, in this moment,” she concluded.

Is there more?

After sharing her letter — which, at the time of this writing, has received over 25,000  likes — Clemmons fired off a very pointed tweet directed at Dunham herself.

Clemmons addressed the Dunham’s follow-up statement on the rape accusation, and called it a non-apology.

Clemmons wrote, “This isn’t an apology, this is a half-assed attempt to cover your ass. GTFOH.”

Early Monday morning, Clemmons on Twitter addressed backlash she’d received for her public display of displeasure against Dunham.

“To all the haters, harassers and abusers creeping into my timeline, remember this: I brought down a major celebrity and her publication with one Facebook post. Try me,” she wrote.

Mall Never Banned Moore and Other Lies

The rush to judgment by Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-SC, and others was premature, but the facts about Judge Roy Moore may be unraveling the fiction as we speak, starting with the accusation that Moore was banned from the Gadsen Mall for repeatedly trolling for young women. The problem is, the manager of the mall says Roy Moore was never banned:

The former manager of the Gadsden Mall, Barnes Boyle, said he does not remember Moore being banned.

“It was part of the job, yeah, we did have written reports and things (on people banned,” Boyle, 86, who managed the mall from 1981 to 1998, told WBRC. “To my knowledge he was not banned from the mall.”

Moore has been under intense pressure to get out of the senate race as new accusers have continued to come forward.

The legacy media ran with the unverified story by a mall worker that Moore had been banned and Sen. Graham even repeated it on Fox News.

Sen.Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said he had been willing to give Roy Moore the benefit of the doubt when the sexual misconduct allegations arose, but now he’s heard enough and he thinks the Alabama Senate nominee is guilty.

“We’re in a political environment,” Graham told Fox News host Shannon Bream. “[When] the allegations first came out I said, if true he should step aside. I’ve heard enough. I believe the women.

“He was barred from a mall. His behavior was so extreme in his thirties that apparently the Gadsden mall put him on the no-fly list,” he said. “That tells me a lot. I don’t know anybody personally who’s been banned from a mall.”

But, as President Ronald Reagan used to say, facts are stubborn things, and the fact is Roy Moore was not banned from the Gadsden Mall for predatory activities:

Remember the mall worker who so convincingly said Roy Moore was banned for harassing young girls decades ago? Well the mall manager from 1981-1996 came out and said Moore was never banned so far as he knows. The time frame isn’t exact, but it would seem that something like that would be common knowledge for some time.

The media reported the mall worker’s interview as if it were fact over all the major networks, but it was hearsay

Barnes Boyle, who was manager of the Gadsden Mall from 1981 to 1996, told WBRC News in Alabama to his knowledge Moore was not banned.

“To my knowledge, he was not banned from the mall,” Boyle told the news station.

“We did have written reports and things. But to my knowledge, he was not banned from the mall,” Boyle told WBRC in Birmingham, Ala.

Most of the accusations were in the 1970s but Moore was prominent and if he was banned in the ’70s, he would likely have still known.

This is another claim about Roy Moore that mysteriously never became an issue in his statewide and county races, that is, until he threatened the GOP establishment in Washington, D.C. by winning the Alabama Senate primary. Then, accompanied by serial accuser Gloria Allred and a box of tissue, women such as Beverly Nelson suddenly found their alleged trauma too much to bear without telling their tale of woe conveniently just four weeks before a national election. Casting doubts on her story is none other than her stepson, Darrel Nelson:

Darrel Nelson, the stepson of Republican senatorial candidate Roy Moore accuser Beverly Young Nelson, claims that his stepmother’s accusations are “one hundred percent a lie.”

“I know for a fact that there is a lot that that woman does not tell the truth on,” Nelson claimed in an in-person interview with Breitbart News. “Do I think that Beverly is trustworthy? No, I really don’t. Could I see her making it up? … The odds are in that favor.”

Beverly Nelson, 55, gave a press conference earlier this week at which she claimed that Moore sexually assaulted her in a car in December 1977 or early January 1978 when she was a 16-year-old high school student.  Nelson said the alleged assault took place outside a restaurant in Gadsden, Ala., where she says that she worked as a waitress…

Beverly Nelson says that she told her husband about the accusations against Moore before they got married. “Before I married my husband, John, I told him what Mr. Moore had done to me,” she said alongside Allred at the news conference.

Darrel Nelson said that neither Beverly nor his own father ever mentioned the claims against Moore.

If she told him, you would think that somewhere along the conversations of talking to his son and talking to his family that he would’ve mentioned something like that. That’s something you don’t hide from anybody,” he said.

Then there’s the issue of the yearbook which Nelson and Allred claim Moore signed, which Allred has thus far refused to have examined by independent experts who can verify the age of the ink and whether in fact the handwriting is Moore’s, that is, until she can milk it for more camera time as the election clock runs down:

Gloria Allred is a highly accomplished, if controversial, lawyer who is admired — or reviled — for her sensational representation of women who are alleged victims of sexual assault and sexual harassment. Yet on Wednesday she committed a major blunder when she declined a public invitation by the attorney representing Roy Moore, Republican nominee for U.S. Senate in Alabama, to have a key piece of evidence examined by independent experts….

(Moore attorney Phillip L. Jauregui ) noted that handwriting experts “can’t look at a copy on the Internet… they’ve got to look at an original.” He demanded that Allred release the yearbook to a “neutral custodian” so that a “professional expert” could examine it to determine whether the signature was genuine — or, as he contended, a “fraud.” He said that Allred would be free to send her own handwriting expert to examine the yearbook and the signature for herself.

Allred then called into CNN, reaching Wolf Blitzer live on The Situation Room. She said that she would be willing to submit the yearbook to “an independent expert or experts” — but only once her client and Moore had testified under oath before the Senate Judiciary Committee and the Senate Select Committee on Ethics before the election. She would not agree to have the yearbook examined otherwise, claiming “we’re not going to be distracted.”

Having experts verify whether it is Moore’s signature or not on a key piece of evidence is a distraction? Or maybe finding out it is not Moore’s signature as he claims would blow Allred’s chance for more publicity, and blow more smoke before a national audience.

There’s a principle in law which says that if a witness is caught lying about the littlest thing then all of that witness’  testimony can be discarded. There is another principle that guilt should be determined in a criminal case beyond a reasonable doubt. There is plenty of reasonable doubt here – decades-old accusations unmentioned during Roy Moore’s political career until now, only to be resurrected by celebrity lawyer and serial accuser Gloria Allred.

One key question is whether Bob Menendez and Al Franken will be barred from the Senate as Moore’s accusers say he should be if he wins on Dec. 12. Equal justice under the law, right?

Daniel John Sobieski is a freelance writer whose pieces have appeared in Investor’s Business Daily, Human Events, Reason Magazine and the Chicago Sun-Times among other publications.

What’s Worse: Flimsy Assault Charges from 38 Yrs. Ago or Supporting Murder of Babies at 9 Months?

Alabama Judge Roy Moore was accused of sketchy sexual abuse charges this past week by liberal Washington DC and New York City hacks.

The most disturbing charges were announced this week by accuser Beverly Nelson at a press conference with controversial liberal attorney Gloria Allred.

The charges quickly fell apart when the yearbook signature “evidence” was discredited by internet sleuths.

The signature was likely faked by the accuser.

Even the accuser’s stepson says the accusations are false.

And crooked attorney Gloria Allred will not vouch for the authenticity of the signature.

Meanwhile… Democrat Doug Jones is pro-abortion up to when the baby is born.

Doug Jones supports the murder of babies up to delivery.
Is that what Alabama wants in a senator?

Navy Not Laughing at Air Crew That Drew Giant Penis in the Sky Over Washington

It could give Top Gun a new meaning, but U.S. Navy officials are not happy that rogue airmen thought that it would be funny to draw a giant penis in the sky over Washington State.

Residents of Okanogan County had a WTF moment on Thursday when they observed the enormous white phallus against a stunning blue background and began posting the images on social media.

The sky dick was the work of a plane assigned to the local Whidbey Island Naval Air Station which was confirmed by officials who apologized and promised that appropriate disciplinary measures would be taken with the pilots.

Via Spokane CBS affiliate KREM 2 “Navy admits to being involved in obscene skydrawings spotted in Okanogan Co.”:

Officials with the Naval Air Station Whidbey Island said one of their aircraft was involved in the obscene skywritings spotted in Okanogan County.

Photos sent to KREM 2 by multiple sources show skydrawings of what some people are saying is male genitalia. Some sources have even tweeted pictures of what they saw.

A mother who lives in Okanogan who took pictures of the drawings reached out to KREM 2 to complain about the images, saying she was upset she might have to explain to her young children what the drawings were.

In a statement to KREM 2 News navy officials said, “The Navy holds its aircrew to the highest standards and we find this absolutely unacceptable, of zero training value and we are holding the crew accountable.”

Pardon the pun but there’s probably going to be a captain’s mast in the offing.
