Report: Lisa Page revealed under oath that there was no basis for Mueller’s appointment

The Mueller special counsel investigation was launched to probe charges that the key FBI officials developing evidence in the case thought were baseless.  That’s a bombshell accusation that appears to have been confirmed by lovebird-turned-songbird Lisa Page, according to John Solomon.  It tends to confirm the suspicion that the Mueller probe is a cover-up operation to obscure the criminal use of counterintelligence capabilities to spy on a rival presidential campaign and then sabotage the presidency that resulted.

John Solomon appearing on Hannity, 7-19-18 (screen grab).

Earlier reports indicated that Page has been answering questions from the House Judiciary Committee quite frankly and may even have cut a deal selling out her ex-lover Peter Strzok over their professional misbehavior (and quite possibly worse) in targeting the campaign and presidency of Donald Trump with the intelligence-gathering tools of the FBI.

Last night, John Solomon of The Hill revealed that he has obtained information from sources who heard Page’s testimony in two days of sworn depositions behind closed doors that she offered a bombshell confirmation of the meaning of one of the most enigmatic text messages that the public has seen (keep in mind that there are many yet to be released).

Writing in The Hill, Solomon explains:

[T]here are just five words, among the thousands of suggestive texts Page and Strzok exchanged, that you should read.

That passage was transmitted on May 19, 2017.  ”There’s no big there there,” Strzok texted.

The date of the text long has intrigued investigators: It is two days after Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein named special counsel Robert Mueller to oversee an investigation into alleged collusion between Trump and the Russia campaign.

Since the text was turned over to Congress, investigators wondered whether it referred to the evidence against the Trump campaign.

This month, they finally got the chance to ask. Strzok declined to say – but Page, during a closed-door interview with lawmakers, confirmed in the most pained and contorted way that the message in fact referred to the quality of the Russia case, according to multiple eyewitnesses.

The admission is deeply consequential.  It means Rosenstein unleashed the most awesome powers of a special counsel to investigate an allegation that the key FBI officials, driving the investigation for 10 months beforehand, did not think was “there.”

The truth behind the Mueller probe is looking uglier and uglier.  Pursuing bogus accusations without foundation is the very definition of a witch hunt – President Trump’s term for Mueller’s team of Hillary-supporters.

We don’t know anything at all about the activities of Utah U.S. attorney Peter Huber, who is investigating the potential abuse of U.S. intelligence apparatus for political purposes.  That is the proper procedure for grand jury probes.  But if Lisa Page is honestly answering questions under oath for a congressional committee, she probably is doing so in grand jury sessions, if summoned.

The glacial pace of this probe is frustrating for Trump-supporters.  But doing it right and observing the ethical and legal constraints takes time and does not generate leaks.  Nevertheless, I am deeply encouraged by this leak to Solomon, as it seems to indicate that the truth will come out.

Appearing on Hannity last night, Solomon elaborated:

Mom of ‘conservative, Christian family’ gives birth at Chick-fil-A; baby gets free chicken for life

A Texas woman gave birth in a San Antonio, Texas, Chick-fil-A bathroom on Tuesday night — and her husband was the one who delivered the baby.

What’s the background on this?

Robert Griffin shared a Wednesday Facebook post announcing his wife’s birth. The post has since gone viral, with over 100,000 likes and over 82,000 shares.

In the post, Robert recalled his wife, Falon’s birth plan, and how it went awry when she suddenly went into labor on Tuesday evening.

The Griffins drove to a nearby Chick-fil-A to drop off the rest of the family with friends who were meeting them there, so that Robert and Falon could head to the hospital alone.

When the family arrived, they realized that the restaurant was closed, as it was 10:30 p.m. and after-hours.

Robert said that when he and his family arrived at the eatery, his wife had to use the bathroom terribly.

KSAT-TV reported that the restaurant’s clean-up crew acquiesced, and kindly let Falon use the restroom.

Falon made it to the bathroom, but once inside, reportedly started screaming.

Brenda Enriquez, the store director, said that she heard the mother’s screams and immediately called 911.

“I’m about to dial 911, I open the door and she’s just screaming,” Enriquez said.

Robert said that he entered the bathroom, where his wife was straddling the toilet.

He noted that the baby’s head was visible, and “just barely crowning.”

“I knew we couldn’t go anywhere,” he said, according to KSAT, “so I told [Falon], ‘Sweetie, we’re gonna do something great, and we’re gonna do it right here and we’re gonna do it right now.’”

Falon began to deliver the baby, and that’s when Robert noticed that the baby’s umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck twice — but he did his best to avoid alerting or alarming Falon.

He said that he was able to distract her and he was “somehow able to unwrap the cord from the baby’s neck.”

The baby — Gracelyn Mae Violet Griffith — was born in just six minutes, according to Robert, and when she was delivered, Robert wrapped the newborn in his “Trump 2020” T-shirt prior to the paramedics’ arrival.

On Facebook, Robert wrote, “I think it’s pretty ironic that a proud conservative, Christian family would have a baby in a Chick-fil-A, and wrapped in a Trump 2020 T-shirt! BOOM #maga.” The child’s birth certificate even says that she was born at the Chick-fil-A.

Franchise owner Ben Stover said that the child will get free Chick-fil-A for life — and has already secured a job for the Gracelyn when she turns 16.

Dem Rep. Keith Ellison Demands Amazon Ban Books Not Approved By Far-Left SPLC…

Ellison starts a book-burning protest in 3… 2… 1…

Via Fortune:

Prime Day is here, but Amazon is facing backlash for selling merchandise promoted by known hate groups. Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) sent a letter to Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos Tuesday, voicing concerns about the company’s income from such items.

“I would like to know whether Amazon is committed to ceasing the sale of all products that promote hateful and racist ideologies,” wrote Ellison. “For a company with a policy prohibiting the sale of ‘products that promote or glorify hatred, violence, racial, sexual, or religious intolerance or promote organizations with such views,’ there appear to be a disturbing number of groups with hateful, racist, and violent agendas making money using Amazon’s platform.”

Ellison said that hate groups have been on the rise since the election of Donald Trump, and Amazon has historically failed to prevent hate groups and associated individuals identified by the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) from making money on its platform. Ellison lists a range of the products in question available on Amazon, including children’s toys, clothes, and Kindle books.

“The availability of all the material listed in the aforementioned report indicates to me that either Amazon is willfully refusing to enforce its own policies against the sale of racist products, or its sheer size makes it impossible for the company to police itself,” wrote Ellison. “In either event, Amazon must immediately cease doing business with groups that promote racist violence.”

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez makes another embarrassing gaffe – and Bernie Sanders tweets it out

In an embarrassing gaffe that is being ridiculed by left and right, far left New York candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez accidentally misidentified what party she is campaigning for.

Here’s what she said

After her shocking upset in New York’s 14th congressional district that unseated party boss Rep. Joe Crowley (D), Ocasio-Cortez has gone on to campaign for other similarly far left candidates wishing to bend the politics of the Democratic party.

But on one campaign stop with Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), she appeared to forget, or simply misstate, what party she was campaigning for.

And Bernie Sanders tweeted the video of the gaffe out from his social media account.

He wisely neglected to quote her directly, saying, “Here in Kansas City with [Ocasio-Cortez] to support [Brent Welder] and flip this seat in November.”

Ocasio-Cortez unfortunately said something else entirely.

“We’re gonna flip this seat red”

“Hello everybody,” Ocasio-Cortez said, “um, so excited to be hopping on here, Senator Sanders’ account, and we’re here in Kansas City to rally for Brent Welder, we’re gonna flip this seat red in November!”

But red is typically considered the color signifying the Republican party, while blue is considered the color signifying the Democrat party, so Ocasio-Cortez was saying that she was going to help Republicans win the seat.

Ocasio-Cortez has become a controversial figure even among Democrats, where some of the more traditional party adherents have chafed at the upstart campaign.

Welder has an uphill battle in unseating Rep. Kevin Yoder (R-N.Y.) in the district.

Traitors: NYT Risks US Intel Assets in Disgraceful Attempt To Catch Trump Lying

  • The New York Times published a story saying intelligence agencies briefed President Donald Trump on Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election
  • The agencies provided Trump with text messages and emails that show Russian President Vladimir Putin directed the meddling effort
  • The New York Times reporting potentially compromises a high-level intelligence asset who is close to Putin and could put his life in danger

The New York Times published admittedly-sensitive information about U.S. intelligence sources close to the Russian president Wednesday in an effort to accuse President Donald Trump of muddying the waters on Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election.

The Times reported Tuesday that Trump was shown, prior to the start of his presidency, “texts and emails from Russian military officers and information gleaned from a top-secret source close to” Russian President Vladimir Putin who worked with the CIA on Russia’s malign activities. While the identity of the intelligence source was not disclosed in the report, the existence of the source, which was previously known to only a small group of individuals, was released to the public. It is unclear if the source referred to by The Times is still an active intelligence asset.

“Several human sources had confirmed Mr. Putin’s own role,” The Times reported, “That included one particularly valuable source, who was considered so sensitive that Mr. Brennan had declined to refer to it in any way in the Presidential Daily Brief during the final months of the Obama administration.”

Former CIA director John Brennan reportedly sent information from the source to former President Barack Obama and a handful of national security aides separately to ensure that the contents were kept secret. The Times cited “nearly a dozen” people who were either present for or briefed on a meeting between Trump and Brennan, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, former Director of the National Security Agency Adm. Mike Rodgers, and former FBI Director James Comey at Trump Tower on Jan. 6, 2017.

TRENDING: Dem Panic: Page May Seek Immunity Deal To Come Clean on Strzok, McCabe, Even Comey

The four intelligence chiefs presented Trump with evidence that Putin ordered the efforts by Russia to interfere in the 2016 presidential election, The Times reported, arguing that despite clear evidence that the same Russian groups who have previously targeted the Department of State, White House, Joint Chiefs of Staff, and even the NSA, the president has repeatedly questioned the extent of Russian interference. In certain cases, such as the Helsinki summit, he has made statements that contradict the assessments of his intelligence community.

To make its argument that Trump has been misconstruing Russia’s role in the 2016 election, The Times has potentially put U.S. intelligence assets at risk, and this is not the first time something like this has occurred during the Trump administration.

The president allegedly shared classified details of an Islamic State terror plot with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Ambassador Sergey Kislyak during a private meeting in May 2017. While the president, who has ultimate declassification authority, may have shared information with the Russian officials, it was the media, relying on leaks, that then shared that information with the world.

“Trump’s disclosures jeopardized a critical source of intelligence on the Islamic State,” The Washington Post reported. Speculation from Axios following the report stated, “Several national-security experts tell me that lives could well be lost as a result of an ISIS mole hunt that’s sure to follow.”

Do you agree that the NYT risked U.S. intel assets?

In their rush to highlight Trump’s purported blunder, The Post revealed that the information was linked to terrorist threats to aviation, and The Times told the world that the U.S. ally that gave the intelligence to the U.S. in the first place was Israel. Several outlets disclosed that the supposed plot involved the placement of a laptop bomb on a commercial airliner, and CBS News reported that “the laptop bomb that may evade airport scanners was built and tested by ISIS at Mosul University.”

Regarding The Time’s reporting at the time, The Wall Street Journal said that while it had the same information about Israel at that time, the outlet chose not to publish because “Trump administration officials said disclosing it could damage the two countries’ intelligence relationship and jeopardize operations.”

The Times did not respond to requests for comment from The Daily Caller News Foundation at the time of publication.

Only 18 Democrats Vote Yes On House Resolution Supporting ICE…

Via Free Beacon:

The House passed a resolution Wednesday in support of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the law enforcement agency that some Democrats now want to abolish.

The measure praised ICE’s work countering the narcotics trade and combatting human trafficking, Fox News reported. It further argued that without ICE, more Americans would suffer from drug abuse.

In total, 133 Democrats voted present, 43 voted no on the resolution, and 18 voted yes.
