Petitioners Trying to Revoke Liquor License at Trump Hotel Have History of Anti-Trump Bias

The commissioners of the D.C. Advisory Neighborhood Commission 4C, which does not include Trump International Hotel, are supporting a petition signed by seven Democrats to revoke the liquor license from the hotel on the grounds of President Donald Trump not having "good character."

The commission that represents multiple neighborhoods north of the Trump property, including Petworth and Columbia Heights, voted unanimously at their July 11 meeting to support the petition looking to strip the hotel of its liquor license, according to the Washington Post.

"It is our considered view that Donald Trump, the true and actual owner of the Trump International Hotel, is not a person of good character, doesn’t meet the D.C. Code … requirements and therefore the license should be revoked," ANC 4C chairman, Bennett Hilley, and vice chair, Charlotte Nugent, stated in a letter to the director of the Alcoholic Beverage Regulation Administration.

ABRA spokesman Max Bluestein told the Post that any individual or civic group can file a complaint against a licensee. However, he said an ANC can’t file an official protest against the liquor license if the business is not located within 600 feet of its jurisdiction, which is applicable in this case.

The ABC board is required to respond to all complaints, such as ANC 4C’s letter, within 90 days, Bluestein says.

Seven District residents — three reverends, two rabbis and two retired judges — filed the original complaint to the ABC board in mid-June. The complaint lays out in granular detail what Americans have been reading for months about President Trump: the accusations of sexual misconduct, the contractors who claim that Trump’s businesses haven’t paid them, the fraudulent practices of the now-defunct Trump University, the pattern of lies and deceptions and other allegations.

ANC 2C, which covers downtown Washington, including the Trump International Hotel, says that it has no plans to weigh in on the June petition to revoke the liquor license at Trump hotel because they "do not take into consideration politics" when deciding whether a hotel should get a liquor license. ANC 2C chairman John Tinpe added that it would be "overreaching" to make the decision based on character.

Josh Levy, the attorney who filed the complaint on behalf of the seven residents, insists that this is not a "political stunt" and that the seven petitioners believe Trump "is subject to the same good character requirement that applies to all other licensees. There is no statutory exception for the rich or the powerful."

However, several of the petitioners have a history of support for Democrats and a conspicuous bias against Trump.

William H. Lamar IV, the pastor of Metropolitan African Methodist Episcopal Church in Washington DC, has voiced his opposition to Trump since he was elected president in 2016. Less than a week after the election, Lamar said American evangelicalism is now the "official religion of white supremacy and empire" appearing to dismiss Trump’s voting base as racists. He also participated in a press conference with other religious leaders calling on Congress to reject Trump’s "Cabinet of bigotry." Lamar has also been arrested multiple times for protesting Trump’s position on immigration and most recently protesting a Supreme Court decision he disagreed with, which led to him spending a night in jail for civil disobedience.

Rev. Jennifer Butler, who was appointed by former President Barack Obama in 2015 to serve as a member of the President’s Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, was quoted in a piece last June saying that she admired how the religious right was able to organize well for several decades. However, she is a staunch critic of Trump and voiced her opposition to Trump last year saying that the religious left was "morally outraged at what is going on and we are appalled at [Trump’s] weaponization of religion." She has castigated Trump several times on Twitter, including a recent tweet accusing Trump of wanting to "obtain the right to torture immigrant children by putting them in prisons indefinitely."

Aaron Potek, who serves as a Rabbi educator for GatherDC, which aims at helping 20 and 30-year-olds adjust to life in D.C., has also been critical of Trump and even wrote a blog post titled, "State of Mourning" on the GatherDC website a day after the 2016 election. In the post, he said, "Today we mourn the loss of the America we thought we lived in," adding that many of his Jewish colleagues were "too broken, too hurt, too angry to do anything but weep." In addition to liking multiple liberal organizations on Facebook, including "Barack Obama" and "U.S. Senate Democrats," he posted a rant against late-show host Jimmy Fallon for his "niceness" to then-candidate Trump when he touched Trump’s hair.

Dr. Timothy Tee Boddie, who currently serves as the general secretary and chief administrative officer of the Progressive National Baptist Convention, has voiced his opposition to Trump since before the election on social media, including tweets and retweets attacking Trump and questioning how he could be a presidential candidate in the first place. Boddie also sent out a press release in December 2017 on behalf of PNBC castigating the Republican tax reform legislation that Trump would later sign and tout. He sent out another press release earlier this year calling on the black church to "stand against the racism of of Donald Trump."

Rabbi Jack Moline, who has served as the executive director of Interfaith Alliance since January 2015, was instrumental in assembling a group of 15 American rabbis to meet with White House officials, including Obama, at the beginning of his administration to discuss the "slippage" of his support among American Jewish voters and the negative perception that he didn’t care about Israel. Despite this criticism of Obama, he supports many Democratic causes and has been an outspoken critic of Trump since before the 2016 election. A couple days after the 2016 election, Moline posted on Facebook that he believes it will be very difficult for him to be "fair to President Trump," adding that he "will probably evaluate him harshly based on [his] own biases." He also recently said that anybody that "still supports his efforts either agrees with him or has sacrificed all integrity." Moline, who refers to himself as "unashamedly liberal" on his personal website, has written several posts that criticize Trump and accuse him of not being "honest" and saying that the next president "will need to restore a sense of humanity to the White House." He also wrote a piece in the Huffington Post accusing Trump of stomping on the Constitution and validating "violence against dissenters."

The other two petitioners, inactive Senior United States District Judge Henry Kennedy Jr. and retired magistrate judge for D.C. Superior Court Joan Goldfrank, have Democratic backgrounds, but their political views on Trump are not widely shared on social media. Kennedy was appointed by two Democratic presidents, Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton, for his Federal judicial roles. His sister is also close friends with former First Lady Michelle Obama.

SICK. #NeverTrump Pundit Attacks Trump Campaign Staffer’s Toddler Daughters With Rape Fantasy

SICK. #NeverTrump Pundit Attacks Trump Campaign Staffer’s Toddler Daughters With Rape Fantasy

Cheri Jacobus

Never Trump pundit and USA Today columnist, Cheri Jacobus went on a tirade against Trump’s former aide Michael Caputo Wednesday and suggested his toddler daughters be sent to convicted pedophile, Jeffrey Epstein to be raped for money.

You may remember Cheri Jacobus for being a rabid Trump hater who lost a $4 million lawsuit against the President after he called her a “dummy” on Twitter.

Cheri Jacobus reportedly attacked Michael Caputo out of the blue, unprovoked.

Jacobus began her attacks by tweeting, “Caputo’s one of the most lacking in self-awareness pigs of our time. And headed for prison while remaining an unimportant loser.”

Caputo responded to Cheri Jacobus by saying she’s bitter, childless and alone.

Jacobus lost it and brought his young daughters into the fight, suggesting they be raped by sex trafficker, Jeffrey Epstein.

Jacobus tweeted: “are your daughters ugly like you?” Or can Trump use them at the Epstein parties so they can survive when you’re broke, bitter, along (sic) and in prison for treason?”

Jacobus continued the grotesque attack on Caputo by suggesting if his toddler daughters gain too much weight, they may not be desirable to sex traffickers and pedophiles.

Jacobus even called one of Caputo’s daughters “illegitimate” and appeared delighted over the idea of his child committing suicide. (screenshot below)

Cheri Jacobus is a rabid, bitter #NeverTrumper who attacked many Trump supporters as “racist” and “morons” during the 2016 election.

Does USA Today support Cheri Jacobus after her vile attacks on children?

Breaking: More Evidence Uncovered Shows Obama Spied on Trump Illegally as Early as 2015

Breaking: More Evidence Uncovered Shows Obama Spied on Trump Illegally as Early as 2015

More evidence uncovered that shows that Obama team illegally spied on the Trump team as early as 2015.

As we reported previously, in early June the US Senate released over 500 pages of information related to the Spygate scandal.  Hidden in the information were unredacted Strzok – Page texts that show the FBI initiated actions to insert multiple spies in the Trump campaign in December 2015.

Also, according to far left LA Times, Comey stated in March of 2017 under oath that the FBI investigation into the Trump – Russia scandal started in July 2016.  But Comey appears to have lied about this.

A text message released by the US Senate showed words that were redacted when the FBI released the same texts long ago. The texts show evidence of collusion and wrongdoing by Obama’s FBI.

The texts released from corrupt FBI investigator Peter Strzok to corrupt FBI attorney Lisa Page state the following –

BOMBSHELL- From DECEMBER 2015–The word LURES is redacted by FBI but not OIG; OCONUS LURES; OCONUS= Outside Contiguous US LURES= In this context LURES = SPIES – multiple – Is this an admission that the FBI wanted to run a baited Sting Op using foreign agents against Trump?”

Additional information provides support that Obama spied on citizen Trump as early as 2015.  It was reported in government records that Obama’s spy, Stefan Halper, was awarded a contract in September of 2015.

However a review of Guccifer 2.0’s hack of the DNC shows that there was no reason for the Obama administration to spy on Trump.  According to the files released by Guccifer 2.0, the list of items in the report put together by the DNC to attack Trump do not include a single mention of Trump and Russia.

Obama’s DNC created a report on candidate Trump with points to attack Trump on that omitted any mention of Russia.  This report was prepared by the time the campaign for President started and was released by Guccifer 2.0 in June of 2016.

The problem with Obama spying on Trump before July 2016 is that it is against FBI rules –

Retired assistant FBI director for intelligence Kevin Brock also has questions. Brock supervised an agency update to their longstanding bureau rules governing the use of sources while working under then-director Robert Mueller. These rules prohibit the FBI from directing a human source to perform espionage on an American until a formal investigation has been opened – paperwork and all.

Brock sees oddities in how the Russia case began. “These types of investigations aren’t normally run by assistant directors and deputy directors at headquarters,” he told me. “All that happens normally in a field office, but that isn’t the case here and so it becomes a red flag. Congress would have legitimate oversight interests in the conditions and timing of the targeting of a confidential human source against a U.S. person.” -The Hill

The problem with Comey lying about the start date of the Trump counterintelligence campaign before Congress is that it is against the law.

Let’s hope this all can be brought to light as soon as possible so Americans can at least know the facts of the illegal campaign to spy on Trump.

Woman who wanted Republicans hounded moans over being hounded

Remember when Maxine Waters was saying that activists should haunt the steps of every person associated with the Trump administration and let them know they were “not welcome” in polite society? Well, the shoe is on the other foot now and the congresswoman isn’t very pleased. Oath Keepers has announced that they will be protesting Waters at her Los Angeles congressional office and she’s issuing a warning to her supporters to stay away from the dangerous “gun nuts” who will probably start a war or something. (ABC News)

Rep. Maxine Waters warned supporters on Wednesday of potential “armed protests” against her after an extremist group called for ongoing demonstrations outside her office in Los Angeles.

In a lengthy statement issued late Wednesday, Waters, D-Calif., said she’d been notified about forthcoming protests by the Oath Keepers, which she described as “an anti-government militia” that’s staged armed protests in cities across the country.

She warned her supporters against being “baited” into counter-demonstrations or confrontations with the organization, which she said has a track record of “violent and provocative behavior.”

Not so fun when you’re the one being “hounded” now, is it? But it’s also worth noting that there’s a key difference between what the Oath Keepers are planning and the liberal tactics Maxine Waters has publicly endorsed. The Oath Keepers want to protest outside of the congresswoman’s office. That’s her official place of business where she’s supposedly engaged in her job. Provided they keep to the sidewalks, don’t block traffic or prevent constituent access to the office, it’s nothing more than a typical political protest.

Conversely, Waters specifically endorsed tracking and chasing down members of the Trump administration when they went out for a meal, to go shopping, at their homes and in every other moment of private time they have outside of their government jobs. That’s not a political protest. It’s harassment.

Deciding to “warn” constituents that the Oath Keepers are there looking for an armed confrontation is, of course, over the top. I’ll grant you that Stewart Rhodes goes way over the top in terms of his rhetoric at times, but the group’s record has been greatly overblown in liberal panic rooms. The SPLC defines them as a hate group (of course, I think they said that about the Boy Scouts too), but actual incidents of open warfare and violence by the group are strictly vaporware.

The LAPD is going to be on hand when the Oath Keepers arrive so it should be an interesting scene. As usual, we’ll be keeping an eye out to determine if the group actually starts any physical confrontations or if it’s the “counter-protesters” who throw the first punches. Stay tuned.

Obsessed: CNN Devotes Over 7 Hours to Trump’s Summit ‘Treason’

In just three nights (July 16-July 18), CNN swamped their primetime shows with over 7 hours of coverage – almost all of it critical – of Donald Trump’s Helsinki Summit with Vladimir Putin, including CNN’s hosts and guests speculating that Trump had been compromised by the Russian president and committed treason.

MRC analysts and interns looked at the entire CNN primetime (7pm-11pm) lineup and found 7 hours and 15 minutes (87 percent) of their shows (excluding commercials and promos) were devoted to coverage of the Helsinki summit to just 1 hour and 7 minutes spent on other news topics.

The tone of the coverage was fiercely anti-Trump as CNN anchors, correspondents and guest randomly speculated if Trump was comprised by Putin and openly questioned if the president had committed treason.

On the July 16 edition of CNN Tonight host Don Lemon melodramatically questioned: “Can we still call President Trump the leader of the free world? Can we still call him the leader of the United States. He has gone from snarling alpha dog in Brussels, blasting our allies, to Putin’s lapdog in Helsinki.”

The next evening Lemon went further as he pressed presidential historian Douglas Brinkley to make the charge for treason: “Article III in section three of the Constitution says this, “treason against the United States shall consist only in levying war against them or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort.” So no president has ever been charged with treason, Douglas. Do you believe the President’s actions fall anywhere within that definition?

His colleague Chris Cuomo, on his July 16 show, raged: “The world witnessed a betrayal the likes of which we’ve never seen. America’s president sided with its enemy today. Shock has turned to a national shunning as America finds unity in President Trump’s perfidy.”

Host Anderson Cooper, on July 17, brought on CNN’s chief legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin to speculate, without hard evidence, that Putin had “something” on Trump: “Why is Donald Trump still doing this? Why is he failing to acknowledge Russia’s role in the 2016 election? Why won’t he acknowledge that Russia is a bad actor?…Is there kompromat on him? Do they have something on him?

(For this study MRC analysts and interns looked at CNN’s primetime shows: Erin Burnett Outfront; Anderson Cooper 360; Cuomo Prime Time; CNN Tonight with Don Lemon.)

The unhinged liberals on The View EXPLODED Thursday after Judge Jeanine Pirro DESTROYED Whoopi Goldberg.

The idiots on The View picked the wrong one to abuse and berate.

The View hosts were outraged and plotted to gang rush the popular FOX News host and New York judge.

“The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg was so irate she screamed at Judge Pirro off camera after the heated exchange, sources exclusively confirmed to Page Six.

Judge Jenanine Pirro told Sean Hannity on his radio show that Whoopi Goldberg screamed “F*ck You!!” to the Judge.

Judge Pirro asked Whoopi, “Did you just say that to me?” to which Whoopi replied, “YES! GET THE F*CK OUT OF HERE!”

Whoopi Goldberg is your typical hate-filled, intolerant liberal, incapable of controlling emotions.

Here is the clip of the heated exchange between Judge Pirro and Whoopi Goldberg:

Too Political: Facebook Bans Gospel Singers’ Ad for Song About ‘Heaven’

Facebook is apologizing for banning an advertisement from a Christian musical group because a song about heaven was deemed too political for the platform.

According to WND, gospel group Zion’s Joy! paid $100 to increase the reach of a post featuring the new song “What Would Heaven Look Like.”

However, the post was deleted after Facebook deemed the ad contained “political content.”

The song’s lyrical content deals purely with praise, but the video shows quick imagery regarding recent events — including the Charlottesville and Dakota Access Pipeline protests — as the group sings lines like “I know it might feel like this trouble will stay, but this world will soon fade away.”

“We want to touch people’s hearts and let people know that we can do better than the world is doing right now,” group founder Robert W. Stevenson said in an interview, according to The New York Times.

A week after posting it on Facebook, the group decided to “boost” the video — paying to increase the number of people who see it. However, that’s when Facebook flagged the video as political content and blocked the post entirely.

In a July 5 statement, according to The Times, Facebook acknowledged that its algorithm is “new, broad and exists to prevent election interference, so we’re asking people with content that falls under those rules to simply get authorized and show who paid for the ad in order for it to run.”

“Separately, we made an error by deleting the original post,” the statement acknowledged.

“As soon as we identified what happened, we restored the post since it does not violate our Community Standards and have apologized to Zion’s Joy.”

Because of the images of protest, which come at the beginning of the video, Facebook says that the video falls under “issues of public importance,” which is why it got removed. Facebook’s new policy requires “election-related or issue ads” to feature information about who paid for them.

Stevenson insists that wasn’t his intention.

“We wanted to make sure that it wasn’t leaning one way or the other,” the 64-year-old singer said. “That it was just how we felt — people loving each other, regardless of race, creed or color.”

Do you think Facebook is biased against conservatives?

The Times seemed to play it off as an issue that has been spread equally around the spectrum, with “hair salons and day-care centers” feeling the wrath of the social media giant. The Grey Lady even listed itself among the victims: “The New York Times has complained that its paid promotions for its reporting on politics — and even for posts on subjects as innocuous as a cake recipe — have been treated as political advertising by Facebook.”

RELATED: Dem Rep Embarrassed After Asking Zuckerberg Why Facebook’s So Hard

Generally speaking, however, the victims of these kinds of blockings tend to be associated with causes that are right-leaning in nature.

The Times noted that a man who put up excerpts of the Declaration of Independence had himself flagged by Facebook because of a part of the document that contained the phrase “Indian savages” (in reference to King George III’s support of Native American tribes attacking colonialists).

We’ve also documented how conservative-leaning content has demonstrably been hit harder by Facebook’s recent algorithm change than liberal-leaning content. Numbers, alas, don’t lie.

However, 30 seconds of protests at the beginning of a video does not a political advertisement make. This is a band singing about a world where “bigotry and hate are absent, only love and peace are present.” Is this somehow a political advertisement? Is Facebook’s algorithm held together by twine such that it can’t discern an innocuous gospel song from a campaign ad?

If so, then Facebook really ought to drop the pretense and admit it has no way to effectively flag covert political advertising. My guess is you’ll see no such statements coming out of Menlo Park anytime soon.

As for his part, Stevenson posted the video again and continued advertising it — and he refuses to flag it as “political content.”

“That would be like admitting that it’s political content, and it’s not,” he said. “We’re preaching peace and love and coming together.”

My guess is that this time, it doesn’t get taken down.
