Three Democrats Won’t Vote For Own Bill to Abolish ICE

Three House Democrats won’t vote for their own bill to abolish U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement if it is brought up for a vote.

Reps. Mark Pocan (D., Wis.), Pramila Jayapal (D., Wash.) and Adriano Espaillat (D., N.Y.) introduced The Establishing a Humane Immigration Enforcement System Act on Thursday.

Republican House leadership announced earlier on Thursday that they would allow the bill to be brought to a vote in order to force members to officially state their position on whether the law enforcement agency, better known as ICE, should be abolished.

House Majority Whip Rep. Steve Scalise (R., La.) told The Hill that he strongly was against abolishing ICE but would still bring the bill to a vote.

“Democrats have been trying to make July 4th about abolishing ICE, which is a radical, extreme position that would lead to open borders and undermine America’s national security,” Scalise said. “I think it’s the wrong approach. I think everyone ought to be on record about where they stand on that issue.”

But now, the three representatives say they won’t vote for the unamended bill that they introduced. Releasing a joint statement later on Thursday which was obtained by a Vox reporter, they criticized House Speaker Paul Ryan (R., Wis.) by saying he isn’t serious about their bill and calling it a “political stunt.”

“If Speaker Ryan puts our bill on the floor, we plan to vote no and will instead use the opportunity to force an urgently needed and long-overdue conversation on the House floor,” the statement said.

Republicans believe that bringing the bill to a vote will force Democrats from swing districts into a tough spot. If they vote for the bill, they could alienate moderates, but if they vote against the bill, members of the Democratic Party’s liberal base might not be as enthusiastic going into the 2018 midterm elections.

On Thursday the House Oversight Committee and House Judiciary Committee held a joint hearing with former top FBI invesigator Peter Strzok.

Strzok was angry, defiant, smug and looked downright evil as he refused to answer questions on Mueller.

The hearing quickly devolved into chaos as contentious FBI agent Peter Strzok refused to answer his first question on how many interviews he held before the bogus investigation of the Trump campaign colluding with Russia.

After several minutes of complete chaos Chairman Bob Goodlatte threatened FBI Agent Peter Strzok with contempt for declining to answer questions on Russia probe.

Jim Jordan and Trey Gowdy also ripped into Peter Strzok for his defiance.

Mike Flynn Jr. said he was ready to throw something at his TV while watching Strzok smirk and lie his way through the hearing.

Flynn Jr. then said, ‘Peter Strzok interviewed my father…let that sink in…’

“Anyone ask Peter Strzok if he thinks General Flynn lied during their interview?” asked Flynn Jr.

The take down of General Mike Flynn was a Deep State set up.

General Flynn’s phone call with Russian Ambassador Kislyak during the Trump transition was illegally leaked to the liberal media.

Dirty cop Andrew McCabe and disgraced FBI agent Peter Strzok worked in coordination to take out General Flynn.

Trump-hating FBI agent Peter Strzok then ambushed General Flynn and interviewed him on January 24th 2017 without his lawyer present.

On December 1st 2017 it was reported General Michael Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI deep state operatives in the ongoing Trump witch hunt.

General Flynn should be pardoned and reimbursed for all of his legal fees.

Leftists Delighted as Racism Frame-Up Takes Down Pro-Anthem Founder of Papa John’s

If there was any doubt that liberals are ruthless, this should dispel it.

John Schnatter, the founder of the Papa John’s pizza chain, has been a target for the American left since the Obama years, but particularly since last fall, when he publicly blamed poor leadership in the NFL for allowing players to stage protests during the national anthem.

This week, leftists got their chance to strike back.

Schnatter resigned as Papa John’s chairman Wednesday night after a media-generated “controversy” over his use of the n-word during a conference call in May, according to the New York Post.

The context of the call makes it crystal clear that Schnatter wasn’t using the word to directly disparage blacks – he was referring to the founder of Kentucky Fried Chicken when he said, “Colonel Sanders called blacks n******.”

But liberals sensed their chance and the news media struck hard. An article about the call originally published in Forbes led to a flurry of follow up stories that eventually forced Schnatter to issue a statement Wednesday declaring:

“News reports attributing the use of inappropriate and hurtful language to me during a media training session regarding race are true. Regardless of the context, I apologize. Simply stated, racism has no place in our society.”

That wasn’t enough to appease the mob, though. And on Wednesday night, Schnatter stepped down from the chairmanship of the company.

And leftists on social media raced to dance on his corporate grave.

And that last one, showing anthem protest instigator Colin Kaepernick winking at the news, makes the real motivation behind the “controversy” clear.

No fair reading of that Forbes article beyond an inflammatory, context-free headline (“Papa John’s Founder Used N-Word During Conference Call”) could lead to the conclusion that Schnatter himself was using the word to describe blacks.

Was John Schnatter treated unfairly in this incident?

The article even acknowledged that when Schnatter brought up memories of racist incidents that took place during his childhood in Indiana he “apparently intended for the remarks to convey his antipathy to racism.”

But the conference call wasn’t really the issue. Liberal anger at Schattner was.

Could he have found another way to express what he was saying that would not have offended whoever it was who was on the conference call who was so thin-skinned? Probably.

But the reality is, Schnatter has had a liberal target on his back for some time now, but especially since his national anthem remarks in November. What we’re seeing now is a frame-up.

Any thinking person knows what happened here. Probably even some of those Twitter commenters know that the real drive to push Schnatter out of his career had nothing to do with what was said on that conference call in May, and everything to do with his public politics.

But leftists are ruthless enough not to care.
