Second Social Media Giant Blocks Republican Elizabeth Heng’s Ad — Because Her Family’s Story Contains “Inappropriate Content”

Second Social Media Giant Blocks Republican Elizabeth Heng’s Ad — Because Her Family’s Story Contains “Inappropriate Content”

Elizabeth Heng is running for Congress in California’s 16th Congressional District as a Republican.

Elizabeth was raised in Fresno where her family instilled in her a strong work ethic. As a child, she worked at her parent’s Asian grocery store. She attended public school and was class Valedictorian at Sunnyside High School in Fresno, California.

Last week Elizabeth Heng posted a video describing scenes of horrific events her parents went through in Cambodia.
Her parents escaped the Communist regime in Cambodia to resettle in California.

THIS VIDEO IS PHENOMENAL! YOU MUST TAKE THE TIME TO WATCH IT—

Facebook rejected Elizabeth’s video because it was “too shocking.”

History is TOO CONTROVERSIAL for Facebook.

Elizabeth is a Republican.

THIS ONLY SEEMS TO HAPPEN TO REPUBLICANS FOR SOME STRANGE REASON?

Well after the national outcry against the biased social media platform Facebook unblocked Heng’s video.

Now this…

Twitter banned Elizabeth’s family story video this week saying the video contained “inappropriate content.”

Evidently, exposing communist genocide is too controversial for Twitter.

National Review reported:

According to Elizabeth Heng’s campaign, Twitter has determined that the Republican congressional candidate’s video advertisement is “ineligible to participate in the Twitter Ads program at this time based on our Inappropriate Content policy.” The company deemed the video’s content to be in violation of the site’s prohibition on “that which is offensive, vulgar, or obscene.”

The ad contains footage of the Cambodian genocide because Heng’s parents fled to the U.S. from Cambodia to escape communism. When the campaign asked for further explanation about how the video violated Twitter’s policies, Twitter responded with the same message, this time highlighting the word “obscene” in bold. The campaign followed up again but received only a message from the Twitter Ads Support team saying they could “no longer assist or support any further requests.”

Andrew Cuomo tells crowd ‘America was never that great’ …and the 2020 ads write themselves

They just can’t help themselves. In any other era, you’d expect to see one or two back bench Republicans, and one or two obscure Democrats, make huge, embarrassing, gaffes. It’s just the nature of the beast. When neophytes spend a ton of time in front of cameras, stuff happens.

Knife Ban Not Enough for London Mayor. Now He’s Going After Dangerous Cars.

I love London Mayor Sadiq Khan — not because of his policies but because his predictable and frequent bouts of political doltishness have paid for more than a few orders of pizza delivery in the Zeal household. And not just Domino’s, either — we’re talking the A+ stuff.

I’d hate for him to run my city, mind you, but his economic stimulus package for pizza bianca should really be studied in depth by Paul Krugman. Just putting that out there.

Khan’s contributions to the pizza kitty are vast and multifarious, from his Twitter battle against Donald J. Trump to his war on guns (and then knives … and then kitchen knives).

That hasn’t stopped terrorism in London, however, so he has a brand new target: cars.

“London Mayor Sadiq Khan said Wednesday he wants to ban cars from certain areas of Parliament Square in response to a suspected terror attack on Tuesday,” Politico reported.

TRENDING: Ellison Is Done: 911 Report Confirms Assault Details and We’ve Got the Report

“Three people were injured after police say a car collided with a number of cyclists and pedestrians before crashing into barriers that line the Houses of Parliament.”

Khan didn’t waste long before calling for more stringent Vauxhall control.

“Khan told BBC radio that making certain areas only available to pedestrians would provide more safety to both citizens and buildings in the surrounding area,” Politico said.

“But he also said the city would need to ensure people ‘don’t lose one important thing about our democracy: People having an access to parliamentarians, people being able to lobby parliament and being able to come and visit parliament.’”

Do you think Sadiq Khan is a good mayor?

“I think there would be lots of challenges if we would do the whole square. It is a thoroughfare for cars, vehicles and commercial deliveries going through London,” he said.

“So it’s possible to have a designed solution … in keeping our buildings and people as safe as we can do. And also not losing what is so wonderful about our city that is a vibrant democracy, people can walk around safely.”

“Police arrested a 29-year-old British citizen originally from Sudan — whom British media have identified as Salih Khater — on suspicion of committing the attack,” Politico reported.

“Police say he drove with his Ford Fiesta from Birmingham to London late on Monday night. Just before the attack, police say he had been driving around the area of Westminster and Whitehall for about and hour and a half (sic).”

Euronews reported that he wasn’t a practicing Muslim and that there was no evidence of radicalization thus far. That doesn’t mean that he wasn’t self-radicalized but it’s too quick to jump to that conclusion. He also wasn’t known to security services.

Now, this all being said, let’s review the most critical part of the report from Politico: “Three people were injured after police say a car collided with a number of cyclists and pedestrians before crashing into barriers that line the Houses of Parliament.”

Firstly, the security measures in place seem to have worked in this instance. Westminster wasn’t threatened. Cyclists and pedestrians were injured — but they could have been injured literally anywhere in England by any crazy person with a car. Are we to put up barriers all around London so that no car can risk injuring pedestrians or cyclists?

Of course not. But Sadiq Khan is an implausibly big fan of Sadiq Khan, which means he loves seeing Sadiq Khan in the headlines. His Vauxhall control campaign will work every bit as well as that the above anti-knife campaign — which makes D.A.R.E look as manipulation-proof, even-handed and sensationalism-free as an episode of “Firing Line” (the William F. Buckley version, not the Margaret Hoover reboot).

But it keeps Sadiq Khan’s name in the BBC News 24 crawl, and isn’t that what really matters? Just be aware this will work every bit as well as their gun ban.

‘Coors Light saves lives’: Beer deliverymen talk man out of suicide by offering him a 12-pack

Beer deliverymen Kwame Anderson and Jason Gaebel are being hailed as heroes after talking a suicidal man off an overpass by offering him a 12-pack of Coors Light.

What happened?

Gaebel and Anderson spotted the man clinging to the opposite side of a chain-link fence on a bridge over Interstate 94 in St. Paul, Minnesota. As they approached in their beer truck, Anderson filmed with his phone while Gaebel, who was driving, asked the man, “Bro, you all right? Come on this side, bro.”

The man responded, “I am going to commit suicide. Watch me fly.”

At that point, Anderson cut the video, called 911 and approached the man to try and coax him off the ledge.

“I’m thinking it’s either I help this guy or he’s going to jump,” Anderson later told KMSP-TV, “I thought about Denzel Washington when he’s acting as a cop in movies. I said, ‘Well, I gotta keep this guy entertained somehow because if I wait for the police, things could be over.’”

Anderson spoke with the suicidal man for an hour, continuing long after police arrived at the scene. He found out the man’s name was Leroy, that he lived only four blocks away, had children, and was from Chicago.

Leroy refused Anderson’s offers of food and money, but when the deliveryman asked, “Do you want to have a drink with me?” he paused.

Anderson pressed further: “Yeah? A beer?”

“Maybe,” the man replied.

While police distracted the would-be jumper, Anderson ran back to the beer truck, grabbed a 12-pack of the Silver Bullet, opened it, and then successful lured Leroy to the safe side of the fence with the enticement of joining him for a brewski and keeping the rest.

Leroy was transported to the hospital by emergency personnel and ultimately didn’t get the beer he was promised.

Anything else?

The reason Gaebel and Anderson were crossing the bridge that day was because Gaebel took a wrong turn.

“I don’t know why I did this. I take a left and I go toward the bridge but usually we always go straight,” he told KARE-TV. “We have a route that we do every Wednesday and that wasn’t the way I would normally go. It wasn’t part of the plan, but it was God’s plan.”

Anderson agreed, but added that it wasn’t just the Lord’s will that kept the man from jumping: “Coors Light saves lives.”

Blue Lives Matter Group Turns Down Partnership Offer From Jets

The Jets can turn to the other Lives Matter group.

A request to partner with the New York Jets this season was denied by the pro-police group Blue Lives Matter, according to emails shared with The New York Post.

Jets senior manager of premium partnerships Anthony Bulak reached out to Blue Lives Matter founder Joe Imperatrice to pitch him on the proposal, per The Post.

“With the NFL season right around the corner, there is no better time to open up a conversation about how your business/organization can benefit from a partnership with the New York Jets,” Bulak wrote to Imperatrice on Tuesday, according to The Post, which reported that Imperatrice responded within minutes.

“Although I’d love to work with an NFL team right now I feel it is not the right time,” he wrote back. “All over the United States players feel entitled to disrespect our first responders, our military members both past and present and our flag. These players make more money in a season than some people make in a lifetime and their ‘Issues’ are made up, exaggerated, and more times than not false.

“Once again I do appreciate the offer but revenue we have could better be spent on the families of officers killed in the line of duty protecting the ignorance of these individuals rather than contributing to their paycheck.”

Bulak tried to keep the door open and made another push for the proposal.

“I appreciate you sharing your opinion and although I can’t comment too much on it what I will say is the Jets have never had a player protest our anthem,” Bulak responded to the denial, while also attaching a flyer for the team’s First Responders Night. “The Jets have always been supportive of our police, firefighters, EMTs, etc. and will continue to do so.”

Imperatrice, however, relayed another objection.

In March, New York signed running back Isaiah Crowell, who in July 2016 posted – and then deleted – an illustration to his Instagram account of a police officer getting his throat slashed by a figure dressed in black, with the caption: “Mood: They give polices all types of weapons and they continuously choose to kill us…#Weak.”

According to The Post, Imperatrice responded and included an image of the illustration, saying: “If I am correct the JETS may have signed an individual who depicted a Grim Reaper slicing the throat of a police officer.”

Gay-Baiting Jimmy Kimmel Taunts Christian Cake Baker: ‘His Whole Life Is Gay’

Jimmy Kimmel employed age-old homophobic tactics Thursday night to attack a Christian cake artist for refusing to bake a transgender-themed cake.

Like a gay-baiting schoolboy, Kimmel taunted Jack Phillips — the Colorado cake artist who just won a Supreme Court case protecting his religious freedom and freedom from compelled speech — as a closeted gay man.

Using homosexuality as a pejorative, which is the very definition of homophobia, Kimmel not only accused Phillips of being gay, but mocked him for looking like a woman.

“It’s funny because this is a guy who spends all day, every day, meticulously designing flowers out of icing — his whole life is gay, okay?” Kimmel said.

“I don’t know if he’s worried the wrong cake might bring that to life or what.” Kimmel taunted, because ha ha you might be gay.

What’s next? Will Kimmel taunt people because they might be Jewish or black?

Kimmel was far from done.

“And I will add, this is Jack Phillips, the totally straight cake baker — you would think that someone who looks like the Reba McEntire version of Colonel Sanders would be more sympathetic to gender identity issues.”

Interestingly enough, Phillips has said he would never denigrate homosexuals like Kimmel did Thursday night.

Back in June, on top of cakes that slander America or racial groups, Phillips told the Today Show, he would never design a cake that “would disparage anyone who identifies as LGBT.”

Kimmel, however, is more than willing to disparage those who identify as LGBT — and is doing so on network television by using their identity as an insult.

Something else Kimmel fails to grasp is the slippery slope that would come with giving the government the power to intimidate artists into creating art,  into participating in behavior that violates their consciences.

If the government can force a cake artist to make a certain kind of art, why not late-night comedians? What would stop the government from telling Kimmel or Colbert or Fallon that they must tell jokes that mock leftists or abortion or same-sex marriage or transgenderism?

Leftists like Kimmel are now so blinded by ideology they are not only no longer standing up for artistic freedom, they are revealing a latent homophobia to express their seething anti-Christian bigotry.

Couple pay with their lives for embrace of progressive delusions

This is a “tragedy” in the original Greek dramatic understanding: people undone by their fatal flaw, based on pride.

Benny Johnson reports in the Daily Caller:

An American couple decided to bicycle around the world in an attempt to prove evil does not exist.  They chose to bicycle through ISIS territory and ISIS killed them.

Jay Austin and Lauren Geoghegan left their D.C. government jobs nearly two years ago to embark on a worldwide bike tour.  The wide-eyed, optimistic couple kept track of their trips on a website where they posted stunning photos of their travels and whimsical musings on evil, the media and the goodness of people.

In one post, Austin – who is a vegan – said he worked for the Department of Housing and Urban Development during Obama’s presidency explained how he and his girlfriend were planning to bike around the world with hopes to meet “generous” and approachable people.

He did acknowledge that biking makes one more “vulnerable.” …

In another post, right before entering the ISIS hotbed recruiting grounds of Tajikistan, Austin waxed about how “evil” does not exist in the world. …

“I don’t buy it. Evil is a make-believe concept we’ve invented to deal with the complexities of fellow humans holding values and beliefs and perspectives different than our own—it’s easier to dismiss an opinion as abhorrent than strive to understand it. Badness exists, sure, but even that’s quite rare. By and large, humans are kind. Self-interested sometimes, myopic sometimes, but kind. Generous and wonderful and kind. No greater revelation has come from our journey than this.”

It is a lovely fantasy, to be sure.  It’s the same mentality that attaches a bumper sticker reading, “Mean people suck” to a Volvo.

At the root of the difference between progressives and conservatives is a contrasting view of human nature.  Conservatives believe that humans are fallen, as the Bible teaches, that we are prone to temptation, and have a sinful nature.  The Founding Fathers understood this well, which is why they insisted on a government made up of contending branches and the opportunity to have selfish interests balance each other out in the political branches.

Progressives, by contrast, follow the teaching of Rousseau, the founder of progressivism, who believed that in a state of nature, human beings are uncorrupted, and the ills of the world are due to bad social arrangements.  If only the right rules are in place, evil will disappear.

Communism, which told its followers that the perfect system awaits, killed over a hundred million people in its quest for a workers’ paradise.  This young couple died because they embraced a cognate progressive view – that evil doesn’t exist, only people responding to bad signals.  Their friends and family have my sympathy.  I hope they will eventually come to understand why their loved ones embraced a fantasy that cost them their lives.
