Florida county officials make another stunning blunder – and invalidate their recount

Florida officials are bitterly recounting how they rushed to finish the machine recount ordered in the midterm election, only to miss the deadline by a mere two minutes. “Basically I just worked my a** off for nothing"
That means that the difficult and labor intensive machine recount for one county will be invalidated in the official recount accounting, and their previous vote count will be used instead. Elections worker Joe D’Alessandro said that the mistake was due to unfamiliarity with the system used to report the results to the state. "We uploaded to the state two minutes late so the state has chosen not to use our machine recount results and they are going to use the first unofficial results as our second unofficial results," D’Alessandro explained.
“Basically I just worked my a** off for nothing," he added bitterly.
Broward County supervisor of election Brenda Snipes was celebrating their effort before it was discovered that they didn’t meet the deadline. "We are excited to be at this point," Snipes said. Her tone was much changed after the mistake was noted. “I have taken responsibility for every act in this office, good, bad or indifferent," she said. "I always hold myself accountable.”
The blunder caps off a weeklong series of castigations and recriminations between Democrats and Republicans over the recount, including tweets from the president who posted scornful accusations from his social media account. "Mayor Gillum conceded on Election Day and now Broward County has put him ‘back into play,’" he mocked. https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/1060958713047961600
"Bill Nelson conceded Election – now he’s back in play!?" the president added. "This is an embarrassment to our Country and to Democracy!"
Although Governor Rick Scott increased his lead over Bill Nelson, the Democratic candidate, the margin is still within 0.25 percent, which meant a manual recount was called in the election Thursday.
Scott called on Nelson to concede from his social media account Thursday. "With the statewide machine recount finished, our margin of victory has increased by nearly 1000 votes," he tweeted. https://twitter.com/ScottforFlorida/status/1063165720442425346
"@SenBillNelson, it’s time to admit this race is over," he added.

STUNNING: Broward County Florida Loses Track of 2,040 Votes During Recount

STUNNING: Broward County Florida Loses Track of 2,040 Votes During Recount

Jim Hoft

November 15, 2018

Democrats were hoping to steal the US Senate and Governor Races in Florida despite losing both races by over 80,000 votes on Election Day.

On Tuesday Broward County Elections supervisor Brenda Snipes reported 634,000 votes were cast in the midterm election in her county.

On Friday morning Broward County Elections officials said 717,000 votes were cast in the midterm election.

Broward County Democrats mysteriously found 83,000 votes in two days!

They still have not explained how this happened.

After the recount on Thursday Broward County announced their results.

Here are Thursday’s numbers from Broward County, via Ian Margol:

Scott – 210,513
Nelson – 469,949
Total 680,462

DeSantis – 221,252
Gillum – 480,304
Total: 701,556

Caldwell – 213,322
Fried – 477,448
Total 690,770

So the number was significantly lower than the 717,000 total reported on Friday.

According to Ian Margol every candidate lost votes since the vote totals deadline on Saturday.

Broward officials also said they had 2,040 votes fewer this time.

How can they be SO FAR OFF with their vote totals?

These officials should be fired and prosecuted immediately.

Mathematician Catches Global Warming Paper Overstating Temp Rise by Up To 600%

Researchers seeking to prove evidence of climate change recently published a study which claimed that ocean temperatures were increasing at a rate dramatically higher than previous estimates. Of course, it was unquestioningly accepted by believers in the climate change/global warming theory.

However, those researchers have since had to walk back their bold claims after a mathematician reviewed their findings and almost immediately spotted errors that called the legitimacy of the entire study into question.

The San Diego Union-Tribune reported that researchers from Princeton University and UC San Diego’s Scripps Institute of Oceanography published a paper on Oct. 31 in the esteemed Nature journal. The paper claimed that ocean temperatures had actually warmed at a rate 60 percent higher than what had been previously estimated by the United Nation’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.

Unfortunately for those researchers, a mathematician named Nic Lewis — who is known to be skeptical of the so-called “scientific consensus” surrounding climate change claims — reviewed that study. He published his own findings on a climate change-skeptical blog known as Judith Curry, which pointed out a “major problem” with the ocean warming claims, one that may have inflated the supposed findings by as much as 600 percent.

Lewis pointed out how the main authors of the study — Princeton’s Laure Resplendy and Scripps Institute’s Ralph Keeling — had devised a “novel method” to determine the estimated rate of temperature increase in ocean waters and — literally on the first page of the study, as well as elsewhere — discovered major errors in their calculations that essentially changed the entirety of the study’s findings.

TRENDING: Out-of-Shape Soldiers Just Got Horrible News from Trump — You’re Out

That “novel method” utilized by the researchers involved calculating heat based off of measurements of the amount of oxygen and carbon dioxide rising above the oceans in various research station locations around the globe, a vast difference from the typical method that relied upon actual ocean temperature data obtained by robotic devices suspended at various depths of the ocean in different parts of the world, a method that admittedly has gaps in it.

In his sharp critique of their methods and calculations, Lewis concluded, “The findings of the Resplandy et al paper were peer reviewed and published in the world’s premier scientific journal and were given wide coverage in the English-speaking media. Despite this, a quick review of the first page of the paper was sufficient to raise doubts as to the accuracy of its results.”

“Just a few hours of analysis and calculations, based only on published information, was sufficient to uncover apparently serious (but surely inadvertent) errors in the underlying calculations,” he continued.

“Because of the wide dissemination of the paper’s results, it is extremely important that these errors are acknowledged by the authors without delay and then corrected,” he added. “Of course, it is also very important that the media outlets that unquestioningly trumpeted the paper’s findings now correct the record too. But perhaps that is too much to hope for.”

Do you think all climate change studies should be subjected to rigorous independent review for mathematical errors?

To his credit, one of the main authors of the study — Ralph Keeling — responded to Lewis’ critique, took full blame for the mistakes that had occurred and expressed his gratitude to Lewis for discovering and alerting him to those mistakes.

“When we were confronted with his insight it became immediately clear there was an issue there. We’re grateful to have it be pointed out quickly so that we could correct it quickly,” said Keeling.

The researcher said his team had gone back and redone their calculations with Lewis’ critiques in mind. While they still concluded that ocean waters were likely warming at a faster rate than the UN-IPCC estimate had previously determined, that rate was also most likely far less than they had originally deduced, within a wide probability of 10 to 70 percent, rather than 60 percent, meaning they could have overestimated the warming rate by as much as 600 percent.

“Our error margins are too big now to really weigh in on the precise amount of warming that’s going on in the ocean. We really muffed the error margins,” Keeling admitted.

In other words, the study is now worthless bunk that can’t be relied upon for anything, and should be retracted, though the researchers merely sent a correction to the Nature journal.

As for the “novel method” used by his research team, Keeling said his team would continue to use it and work to “fine tune” the process. “It’s a promising new method, but we didn’t get the precision right on the first pass,” he said.

No, they sure didn’t get it right, and the fact that their wildly miscalculated values were somehow able to make it past peer-review to be published as virtual gospel should be viewed as an embarrassment to all of those who advocate the belief in massive climate change and the leftist agenda to address it.

Looks like Jeff Flake is all alone on his “protect Mueller or we’ll block the judges” move

Nice guy. Well intentioned. Bad politician.

Why pull this stunt if he didn’t know upfront that Collins, Murkowski, and whoever else were prepared to join him in roadblocking judges until the “protect Mueller” bill is voted on?

To put that another way: If he was prepared to wage a one-man campaign on Mueller’s behalf by opposing all judicial confirmations, why didn’t he do it a year ago rather than start in the lame-duck session? He’s retiring. If worse came to worst, McConnell could just wait six weeks if need be and proceed in January with a Flake-less Senate.

Two potential Republican allies for Flake, Sens. Susan Collins of Maine and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, said Thursday that they support the special counsel legislation, but they did not indicate they’d join Flake in using judges as leverage to force such a vote.

“I believe strongly the bill should be brought to the floor in light of the President’s firing of Jeff Sessions, his installation of Matt Whitaker, and also his tweet this morning, all of which are disturbing to me,” Collins said. “I’m not sure I see a link between holding up judges and getting a vote on this bill. There may be other ways. I’ve talked to others of my colleagues who are also concerned, and I hope we can prevail on the majority leader to just bring the bill to the floor.”…

“I want to find out what the path forward is for this right now,” Murkowski said. “I have said I’m supportive of that (legislation). How we do that is the question I think needs to be answered right now. I’ll talk to Sen. Flake about what he’s doing. But we haven’t had much of a conversation yet.”

If he doesn’t have Collins, he probably doesn’t have Murkowski. If he doesn’t have Collins and Murkowski, he almost certainly doesn’t have Sasse. Which means he has nothing in terms of defeating any nominations in a floor vote. His sole leverage would be his vote on the Judiciary Committee, which is divided 11 to 10. Flake could singlehandedly tilt the Committee against each nominee, but that wouldn’t necessarily stop McConnell from holding a floor vote on — and passing — each one. Normally the majority leader would think twice before ignoring a committee’s recommendation but in this case McConnell could justify doing so by noting that the swing vote is retiring and his objections aren’t to the nominees on the merits. As such, all Flake’s vote would do is send a bunch of qualified nominees to the bench with a stain on their record that they were opposed by the Judiciary Committee for reasons having nothing to do with their own qualifications. I doubt Flake would even follow through if McConnell called his bluff. He might just vote “present” on the Committee and let the nomination proceed with the group deadlocked.

Mild-mannered Mike Lee is annoyed by the whole stunt, and with the merits of Flake’s bill:

Lee rebuked Flake for the threat, telling host Laura Ingraham, “I don’t like the tactic and I really, really dislike the underlying legislation that he’s trying to push.”

“I think it’s unnecessary and I think it’s unconstitutional to take a prosecutorial position like this one and put it beyond the authority of the president of the United States,” Lee warned…

Lee lamented the sluggish rate at which the Senate has been confirming Trump’s judicial nominees. “At the rate that we’re going, it would take us about 10 years to fill all these positions and get them confirmed.”

Given the constitutional objections and annoyance with Flake’s pressure tactics, it sounds like the most McConnell might offer him is to hold an empty-gesture vote on Mueller’s behalf. That is, said John Cornyn to CNN, if Flake will back off then maybe McConnell will allow a non-binding “sense of the Senate” resolution that simply says that Trump shouldn’t fire Mueller. Would Flake go for that, knowing that it wouldn’t tie Trump’s hands at all?

Probably, right? A guy who decided to drive a hard bargain in his final six weeks on the job, when his power has all but evaporated, isn’t all that invested in hard bargains.

Here he is last night in his element, dumping on Trump for an audience of media people at the 2018 Radio & Television Corespondents’ Dinner. By the way, Lindsey Graham met with acting AG Matt Whitaker today and reportedly came away confident that he won’t interfere with the Mueller probe. POTUS is definitely counting on the opposite, though, or else Whitaker wouldn’t have this job. What will Whitaker do if and when the fit hits the shan on Russiagate? We may find out sooner than you think.

Facebook disavows US President.

The Gateway Pundit has frequently reported on Facebook’s bias and targeting of conservatives and conservative publishers.
Nearly EVERY SINGLE INFLUENTIAL CONSERVATIVE PUBLISHER saw their Facebook presence significantly reduced or eliminated since the 2016 election.
This allowed Democrats to make gains with suburban women and upper middle class voters in the midterm election.

But Facebook stooped to a new low today in reporting on President Trump’s speech to veterans.
Facebook purposely blurred out the presidential seal during President Trump’s speech to US veterans.

What the hell Facebook?

MARCO RUBIO BOMBSHELL: Democrats Planned Voter Fraud Day After Midterm Election — And There’s Proof!

MARCO RUBIO BOMBSHELL: Democrats Planned Voter Fraud Day After Midterm Election — And There’s Proof!

Jim Hoft

November 15, 2018

Marco Rubio has been leading the charge against Democrat Party voter manufacturing and voter fraud in the state of Florida.

Rubio called out Broward County two days after the election after the corrupt Democrat elections officials manufactured over 80,000 new ballots after Election Day.

On Thursday night Marco Rubio reported on the planned Democrat voter fraud after Election Day.

Democrat leaders in Florida directed staffers and volunteers to shear altered election forms to fix improper absentee ballots AFTER THE DEADLINE.

The plan was to have Florida voters fix and submit as many absentee votes as possible in hopes of including them in the vote totals.

The email was sent out to Democrat activists BEFORE Nelson and his party allies filed a series of lawsuits challenging some voting rules that applied during the election, claiming they disenfranchised voters.

A federal judge then ruled in Democrat’s favor to count these votes.

Naples Daily News reported:

A day after Florida’s election left top state races too close to call, a Democratic party leader directed staffers and volunteers to share altered election forms with voters to fix signature problems on absentee ballots after the state’s deadline.

The altered forms surfaced in Broward, Santa Rosa, Citrus and Okaloosa counties and were reported to federal prosecutors to review for possible election fraud as Florida counties completed a required recount in three top races.

But an email obtained by the USA TODAY NETWORK – Florida shows that Florida Democrats were organizing a broader statewide effort beyond those counties to give voters the altered forms to fix improper absentee ballots after the Nov. 5 deadline. Democratic party leaders provided staffers with copies of a form, known as a “cure affidavit,” that had been modified to include an inaccurate Nov. 8 deadline.

Watch–Illegal Alien Charged with Attempted Murder After Firing at Cops During Traffic Stop

An illegal alien has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly firing at Washington County, Arkansas police officers during a routine traffic stop.

Luis Cobos-Cenobio, a 29-year-old illegal alien, has been arrested and charged with attempted capital murder and other charges after dash cam video footage shows the illegal alien being pulled over and then swiftly firing at Arkansas police officers.

The footage then shows the illegal alien running back to his vehicle and driving away from the traffic stop. Down the road, Cobos-Cenobio allegedly stopped to let a female passenger out of the car before once again driving away.

Later in the day, a police officer found the illegal alien’s car and Cobos-Cenobio allegedly began shooting at the officers. After leading police in a chase, the illegal alien stopped and allowed police to take him into custody.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports that no police officers were injured in the shootout, while Cobos-Cenobio sustained a shoulder injury during his arrest following the incident.

The illegal alien is being held on a $500,000 bond and has had an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency detainer placed on him where, should he be released at any time, he will be turned over to federal immigration officials for prosecution and deportation.

Kamala Harris Compares ICE to KKK

At a Thursday confirmation hearing for President Donald Trump’s nominee to head Immigrations and Customs Enforcement, Sen. Kamala Harris (D., Calif.) compared the agency to the Ku Klux Klan.

Harris asked Trump’s nominee for the position, Ronald Vitiello, about comments he previously made in which he referred to the Democratic Party as "neo-Klan" like.  Vitiello apologized for the comments, calling them inappropriate because of the Klan’s history. Harris asked him to expound on why the comments were inappropriate.

"The Klan was what we could call today a domestic terrorist group," said Vitiello, a 30-year Border Patrol veteran who has been serving as the acting head of ICE.

"Why?" Harris asked.

"Because they tried to use fear and force to change the political environment," Vitiello replied.

"And what was the motivation for the use of fear and force?" Harris asked.

"Based on race and ethnicity, " Vitiello responded.

"Right," Harris responded. "And are you aware of the perception of many about how the power and discretion at ICE is being used to enforce the law and do you see any parallels?"

"I do not see any parallels," Vitiello responded, prompting Harris to say she was talking about perceptions.

"There’s a lot of perceptions in the media and in the public that are incorrect about the agency," Vitiello said.

In his opening statement for the hearing, Vitiello said,"If confirmed, one of my highest priorities will be to better demonstrate to the public, Congress, and the media the importance of our mission to homeland security and public safety — and why our agency’s existence should not be up for debate."

Several Democrats, including Congresswoman-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D., N.Y.) and potential 2020 candidates Sens. Kirsten Gillibrand (D., N.Y.) and Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.) have called for ICE to be abolished.

Harris herself questioned ICE’s role in a June 2018 interview and said the government may need to "start from scratch" when it comes to immigration enforcement.

"There’s no question that we’ve got to critically reexamine ICE and its role, and the way that it is being administered, and the work it is doing. And we need to probably think about starting from scratch," she told NBC’s "Meet the Press."

Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel responded to Harris’s comments.

"Kamala Harris is trying to launch her 2020 campaign off of comparing ICE officers to the KKK, and it’s absolutely disgusting," McDaniel wrote in a tweet.

Report: Florida Democrats Urged Voters to Submit Absentee Ballots After Election Day Using Altered Forms

Florida Democrats urged voters to submit absentee ballots after Election Day, using an official form that had been altered to make it look like they were doing so within the legal deadline, hoping a judge would later allow the votes.

That attempt to add Democratic votes, which critics say is possible election fraud, was reported Thursday morning by Ana Ceballos of the Naples Daily News, who notes the scheme has already been reported to federal prosecutors.

Ceballos reported:

A day after Florida’s election left top state races too close to call, a Democratic party leader directed staffers and volunteers to share altered election forms with voters to fix signature problems on absentee ballots after the state’s deadline.

The altered forms surfaced in Broward, Santa Rosa, Citrus and Okaloosa counties and were reported to federal prosecutors to review for possible election fraud as Florida counties complete a required recount in three top races.

But an email obtained by the USA TODAY NETWORK-Florida shows that Florida Democrats were organizing a broader statewide effort beyond those counties to give voters the altered forms to fix improper absentee ballots after the Nov. 5 deadline. Democratic party leaders provided staffers with copies of a form, known as a “cure affidavit,” that had been modified to include an inaccurate Nov. 8 deadline.

One Palm Beach Democrat said in an interview the idea was to have voters fix and submit as many absentee ballots as possible with the altered forms in hopes of later including them in vote totals if a judge ruled such ballots were allowed.

Election Day was November 6.

A decision Thursday by federal judge Mark Walker, a Barack Obama appointee, will allow voters to correct mismatched signatures on mailed-in and provisional ballots until Saturday. Republicans have appealed.

Republicans are already crying foul over Democrats’ efforts to overturn GOP victories in the races for governor and U.S. Senate by suing local election authorities to include votes that were improperly cast (or not cast).

Election officials in Broward County and Palm Beach County failed to comply with state laws and court orders regarding the counting and reporting of outstanding ballots, leading to speculation about efforts to tamper with the results.

Democrats have countered by claiming that Republicans do not want every vote to be counted.
