With the caravan in Tijuana descending into a sozzled mess and den of pestilence, caravan organizers Pueblo Sin Fronteras now say they have nothing to do with it and seem to have skipped town.

The experience taught her not to believe things as they appear, she said. Many in the caravan have said they felt deceived by the messages they received along the way about what awaited them at the U.S. border.

The caravan had leaders as it traveled north, Benavides said, but she hadn’t seen them since Sunday’s march to the border.

Though she had family in the U.S. ready to help her if she’s allowed inside, she didn’t know how to begin the process of asking for asylum or where to go for information.

Getting accurate and useful information to a group of more than 5,000 people can be challenging, and the caravan’s nebulous leadership structure only adds to the difficulty.

The reporter seems to be a good reporter, but she doesn’t have a clue as to what’s happening here: the caravan organizers are realizing that their political project to challenge Donald Trump at the border is a disastrous mess and, instead of taking responsibility for it, are now abandoning the people they used for the television cameras and saying they had nothing to do with it.  The migrants they lured to the caravan via flyers and social media and press appearances were useful so long as the moms and kids and strollers put the political heat onto the U.S., but now that the truth is out about who they really are – military-aged young men, mostly – and they’re sitting in a squalid camp waiting their turn for entry same as anyone else, they’re no longer an advertisement about how to immigrate easily into the U.S. (actually, they’re the opposite).  So now the organizers are gone.  Packed up and left the circus.  Missing.  AWOL.  Nowhere to be found.  Their website hasn’t been updated since advertising for last week’s border confrontation.  And the mayor of Tijuana says he wants them arrested.

Now they’re denying they ever had anything to do with the migrant caravan.  According to the U-T:

Meanwhile, Pueblo Sin Fronteras has adamantly denied being the leaders of the caravan, saying the group works to facilitate conversations between members of the caravan so that the caravan can make its own decisions.  But the number of caravan members who know about or participate in that decision-making process is small, Pueblo Sin Fronteras member David Abud admitted.

This is nonsense.  Might that have something to do with the Tijuana mayor wanting them in jail?

It’s also at odds with the facts.  Why the heck do you think the caravan went to distant Tijuana to make its asylum showdown with the U.S., as opposed to, say, the far closer and easier to reach U.S. border city of McAllen, Texas?  The caravan came to Tijuana because the far-left organizers, Pueblo Sin Fronteras, had a base of operations there, right near the beach at Playas de Tijuana, the site of the first caravan arrivals.  We wrote about those here.  And PSF organizers told the press they had organized successful caravans in the past, with most asylum-seekers from their caravan last April getting in – a while back, they were bragging about their track record.  Documentary filmmaker Ami Horowitz shows how Pueblo Sin Fronteras was right there from the start, telling the migrants what to do in their black t-shirts and neon vest – boarding them onto buses and ladling out soup.  There also was cash handed out during the early part of the caravan.  Somehow, there wasn’t any at the ante-gate before the great charge into San Diego.

News accounts said that the organizers were promising the migrants easy entry to San Diego, and the Sunday Tijuana border charge came when the migrants felt frustrated.  With that a failure, too, that’s got to be rather bitter for some, a question we raised the other day, wondering why the migrants didn’t turn on the caravan organizers after what they did.  Migrants can see that they’ve been dumped to their fate, and the caravan is now breaking up, with many going back home (with Mexico offering free bus rides) or taking the well paid jobs Tijuana is offering them.  But the organizers’ promises continue to stand as fake, because anything too good to be true always is.

You don’t bust down anyone’s border and bring 10,000 people into another country without having some kind of plan to care for them.  Now the mess is there, and the time waiting is all anyone can look forward to with many migrants feeling as though they’ve been sold a “bad bill of goods.”  They’ve been had, and they know they’ve been had, and now the organizers seem to have skipped town.

Some shepherds.  Think of that next time the far leftists claim to be champions of the people.

Former InfoWars D.C. bureau chief Jerome Corsi on Monday filed a criminal complaint against special counsel Robert Mueller, accusing prosecutors of attempting to coerce him into providing “false testimony.”

Filed by Freedom Watch founder Larry Klayman, the complaint asks the Justice Department to launch a criminal and ethics investigation into the tactics of Mueller and investigators under him.

The complaint states: “Special Counsel Mueller and his prosecutorial staff should respectfully be removed from his office and their practice of the law and a new Special Counsel appointed who respects and will obey common and accepted norms of professional ethics and the law and who will promptly conclude the so-called Russian collusion investigation which had been illegally and criminally spinning out of control.”

Klayman also filed the complaint with the Office of Disciplinary Counsel in Washington, D.C., asking the body to probe the special counsel for possible breaches in professional responsibility under the bar’s rules and regulations.

“In filing this Complaint, my client is not only standing up for his own legal and constitutional rights, but also those of the American people,” the lawyer said in a statement. “This rogue government tyranny perpetrated by a Special Counsel and his prosecutorial staff, which is designed to effectively overthrow a duly elected president by coercing and extorting false testimony from Dr. Corsi and others, cannot be permitted in a civilized society.”

The Office of the Special counsel has not commented publicly on the complaint.

A victim of the Telford grooming gang has revealed she was forced to bring her child to see her rapist or be arrested.

The girl was targetted by the mostly Pakistani-heritage gang, which victimised up to a thousand mostly White British girls in the West Midlands Town, when she was just 14, and gave birth to her child when she was just 15 — and was forced to allow her rapist access.

“This has been happening for years and it’s an absolute disgrace,” the victim — named as “Alison” to protect her identity — told the Daily Mirror.

“I was forced to take my child to a contact centre to see my abuser, where I had to sit across from him. He wanted to hurt me by targeting the thing I loved most in the world,” she said.

“It was just another way of trying to control me. Despite the fact I’d repeatedly tried to tell police and social services what was going on, the court allowed him to see my child.

“I was told I would be held in contempt and arrested if I didn’t take him to the contact centre,” she said.

“They made me feel like I was the one in the wrong. I was terrified I’d go to jail.

“The whole thing was extremely traumatic. It gave my child nightmares for years.

“It seems like the rights of victims always come second to the rights of perpetrators.The system re-traumatises victims like me. It allows for further emotional abuse.”

“Alison” spoke to the newspaper after Sammy Woodhouse, a victim of the Rotherham grooming ring, went public to reveal that the council had approached her rapist in prison to invite him to seek access to her child, born when she was just 15.

“This isn’t just happening to me. This is happening to people all over the country. It’s wrong and it’s got to stop,” said the young woman, who is exposing herself to public scrutiny in order to campaign for a change in the law so absuers cannot gain access to children conceived through rape.

“Children are being removed [from victims], given to rapists, murderers, for their family to have access. Rape victims are also having to go to support centres to share access, to see the men that raped them,” she revealed.

“I’m asking the public to join the campaign. People — women and children — are being put at direct risk,” she pleaded.

Broward County’s supervisor of elections, Brenda Snipes, has “withdrawn her resignation,” the Hill reports, after Florida governor Rick Scott threatened to cut off her pension.

Snipes, who presided over an utterly embarrassing recount effort in Broward County following the 2018 midterm elections, told reporters on Saturday, through her attorney, that she refuses to be shamed by Scott and would not simply leave office quietly.

“Dr. Snipes hereby rescinds her resignation,” attorney Burnadette Norris-Weeks told media, adding that the governor’s efforts to remove Snipes from office before January were nothing more than an attempt to “tarnish [Snipes’s] record.”

Snipes will be “fighting this to the very end,” Norris-Weeks said.

Snipes officially resigned her position after the Broward Country recount was completed, and after days of errors and missteps that saw Broward lag far behind neighboring counties in handling ballot issues (Snipes’s team, even, at one point, lost more than 2,000 ballots, with hours remaining until the election results had to be certified). She would have remained in office until January, and would have been eligible for a $170,000 state pension.

But Governor Rick Scott announced late last week that Snipes was overstaying her welcome, and Scott officially removed her from office, appointing a Republican supervisor of elections to take over immediately.

“Every eligible voter in Florida deserves their vote to be counted and should have confidence in Florida’s elections process,” Scott said in a statement about his actions last week.

“After a series of inexcusable actions, it’s clear that there needs to be an immediate change in Broward County and taxpayers should no longer be burdened by paying a salary for a Supervisor of Elections who has already announced resignation,” Scott added.

That turned out to be a bad deal for Snipes, who is now refusing to leave office unless she is removed by the state of Florida. Her current term isn’t scheduled to end until the 2020 election year.

In a separate statement at a press conference held Saturday, Snipes accused Scott of being “vindictive” — even though Scott ultimately won the recount in Broward county and will now serve as Florida’s junior Senator — and pledged to seek out transparency.

She urged the audience to “have an open mind about this whole process,” and claimed that “we have always done our work in an air of quality and integrity.”

Other Democrats piled on early Sunday, backing Snipes, according to the Washington Times.

“Cynthia Busch, chairman of the Broward County Democratic Party, questioned why Scott did not appoint someone from the community and appointed someone who is a ‘Republican Party stalwart,'” the Times reported. “Rep. Shevrin Jones, a Democrat from Broward, called the suspension a ‘play on his politics on his part.'”

The way forward may be easier than it looks, though. Snipes can be removed by state action, though Scott may leave any further movement to the Florida legislature rather than to his own office.

She doesn’t get it.
