WILLIAMS: Politics Of Immigration

Here are a couple of easy immigration questions — answerable with a simple "yes" or "no" — we might ask any American of any political stripe: Does everyone in the world have a right to live in the U.S.? Do the American people have a right, through their elected representatives, to decide who has the right to immigrate to their country and under what conditions? I believe that most Americans, even today’s open-borders people, would answer "no" to the first question and "yes" to the second.

WATCH — Christian Pastor Jacqui Lewis: ‘Our Common Enemy Is White Supremacy, Transphobia, Sexism’

Rev. Jacqui Lewis, a senior minister at Middle Collegiate Church in New York, took the stage Saturday at the Women’s March and announced what she believed to be Americans’ greatest enemies.

“I am so glad to be able to follow my indigenous family and share some words of blessing,” Lewis said as she opened her speech. “Standing here and looking at you and thinking about this movement makes me want to tell you what it means for me to be a Christian pastor.”

“There’s all kinds of Christians, but I’m the kind that believes that there’s more than one path to God, the kind that believes that every single body, no matter who you love and how you look, is created by God exactly as you are.”

Lewis then claimed Jesus was a refugee and referred to him as “Mr. Intersectional.”

“I’m really clear that I understand that I follow a Jewish, poor, itinerant rabbi who was born in Nazareth, which is in Galilee, which is in Palestine. So he is like Mr. Intersectional. … Jesus is poor, Jewish, Palestinian, Afro-Semitic, homeless, and, at once, a refugee. That’s a refugee we follow.”

In concluding her speech, Lewis outlined what she believes are common enemies among all Americans.

“Movements are messy. We don’t all believe the same things about God, and some of us don’t believe in God at all. We don’t have the same tactics. We don’t have the same strategies. We don’t even think we should have the same, you know, way to do stuff. But we agree on this: Our common enemy is white supremacy. Our common enemy is transphobia. Our common enemy is sexism. And our common enemy is greed. Movements are messy, but we’re gonna have to move together. And because it’s a mess, we need to take these things with us. One: patience. Two: forgiveness. Three: resilience. Four: humility. And five: a stubborn commitment to look at our neighbor and understand that they are badasses. To see them as an extension of ourselves. So, honey, I’m blessing us today to stay in this messy movement together.”

A Green-Card Holder Voted Illegally 3 Times In NC, The Judge Scolds Election Officials

Purge the rolls and start over at square one.

Via The News and Observer:

Hyo Suk George lived legally in the United States for nearly 20 years before she voted in her first election, coaxed to cast her ballot by an enthusiastic town council member at church.

To register, she presented a green card, Social Security number and driver’s license — proof enough for the elections officials in Columbus County — then voted in 2008, 2010 and 2016.

But on Thursday, George, 70, faced charges of illegal voting from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, for which she might have spent six months in prison. Instead, U.S. District Court Judge Terrence Boyle chastised the elections board in Whiteville, letting George go with a $100 fine.

“So they see a green card and say, ‘That’s OK’ because they don’t know what they’re doing,” said Boyle, chief judge of the eastern district of North Carolina. “They ought to be a little smarter than that.”

Boyle added “maybe as much attention as is focused on illegal voting” could be placed on educating election workers.”

Only U.S. citizens can vote, and a green card grants permanent residency without citizenship.

The judge’s comments came as controversy continues to swirl around the state’s 9th Congressional district, where November results are thought to have been marred by fraudulent absentee ballots.

In 2016, an investigation by the N.C. Board of Elections found that out of 4.8 million people who cast ballots, 508 were ineligible to vote. Most of them were felons on active sentences. One of those, the report said, would have been caught by a Voter ID law.

Kevin Cramer: Trump ‘Captured Moral High Ground’ with Border Wall Proposal

Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-ND) said in a statement on Saturday that President Donald Trump “captured the moral high ground” in his speech proposing a compromise between Republicans and Democrats on the border wall fight.

During a speech on Saturday, President Trump proposed a border security solution that provides $5.7 billion in funding for his proposed border wall, gives more resources to Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) officers, while providing a three-year amnesty to Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) illegal aliens.

Sen. Cramer, a freshman Republican senator who championed Trump’s America First agenda during the 2018 midterms, cheered the president’s proposal, charging it gave him moral leadership on the issue.

Cramer tweeted on Saturday, “@POTUS has captured moral high ground, and @SpeakerPelosi is an incompetent liberal if she doesn’t join him. #EndTheShutdown #BuildTheWall.”

During the speech, Trump announced the that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) will bring the announced deal before the Senate this upcoming week.

McConnell said in a statement on Saturday:

This bill takes a bipartisan approach to re-opening the closed portions of the federal government. It pairs the border security investment that our nation needs with additional immigration measures that both Democrat and Republican members of Congress believe are necessary. Unlike the bills that have come from the House over the past few weeks, this proposal could actually resolve this impasse. It has the full support of the President and could be signed into law to quickly reopen the government.

Sen. Marxha Blackburn, another conservative freshman GOP senator, said that we must deliver for the American people by securing the southern border.

“The president has once again shown he is willing to work with Democrats to end this shutdown and find a compromise that will secure our border,” said Blackburn. “This proposal that has bipartisan support would provide the much-needed $5.7 billion for a border barrier.”

“The border patrol agents have repeatedly asked for three items: a physical barrier, more technology, and more agents and officers. As members of Congress, we must deliver for them,” Blackburn added.

Catholic Pro-Life Children Now In Fear For Their Lives After Being Doxxed By Far Left Media

Catholic Pro-Life Children Now In Fear For Their Lives After Being Doxxed By Far Left Media

Cristina Laila
by Cristina Laila
January 19, 2019

BuzzFeed and the hateful left-wing media is at it again — these MAGA teens were doxxed and are now in fear for their lives!

On Friday, a group of high school boys from Kentucky went to the Lincoln Memorial after attending the March For Life.

While standing at the memorial a group(?) of Native Americans were beating drums at the public memorial.

A Native American man, reportedly a Vietnam veteran, got up in one boy’s face and started screaming and beating his drum.

According to one of the high school boys who was present, a group of black men were taunting the Trump supporters, calling them “shooters” and “crackers” and said the white kids “had everything given to them by their parents.”

At first, the Trump supporting teens ignored the black men who were harassing them, but after the blacks continued to taunt the white kids, the white kids began to chant back at them.

According to a witness, it was at this point that a Native American man showed up “out of no where” and began drumming in the high school kid’s face.

“We weren’t even chanting at him, we were chanting at the African American guy, but obviously social media made us look bad to get views and stuff,” a witness said.

Video of the black men harassing the teenage Trump supporters:

The media isn’t interested in facts — they want to push their left wing agenda so they doxxed the high school kids.

The high school boy was doxxed by the liberal fascist mob.

The boys are from a Catholic HIGH SCHOOL in Kentucky!

Daily Beast doxxed the high school.

Now BuzzFeed is reporting the high school kids may get expelled!

The kids are now in fear for their lives!

“My dad who was on the trip with me was being harassed all morning online and I’m honestly scared for my safety,” one of the teens said.

Trump Puts Schumer and Pelosi in a Brilliant Vise Grip

The federal government shutdown has presented a unique opportunity for President Donald Trump to clear out the deadwood in the federal bureaucracy, saving U.S. taxpayers billions of dollars in salaries, perks, and rented office space for people who aren’t doing anything productive.

At the same time, Trump can get rid of dozens, possibly even hundreds of Deep State operatives in the government, handpicked by Barack Obama and Bill Clinton for their loyalty to the Democratic Party, not their country or the law.

These people leak like a screen door in a submarine, mainly to CNN and MSNBC, the twin headquarters of Trump-hatred on cable TV.  Peter Strzok and Lisa Page were choreographing their leaks to the media via text messages.  Even though Strzok was fired and Page resigned, it’s clear there are many others.  They actively resist Trump and the Republicans at every opportunity.  This is the core of the Resistance.

A high-ranking Trump administration official wrote four days ago in the Daily Caller that the shutdown enables Trump to get rid of people like this.  As members of the Senior Executive Service, many of them can’t be fired unless they’re convicted of a felony, or of committing some flagrant misconduct.

This is indeed Trump’s chance to “smoke out the Resistance,” but he must do it carefully.  Thomas Lifson has published two columns in the American Thinker, here and here, explaining that SES employees cannot be furloughed (laid off) under normal circumstances, but they can be removed during a Reduction in Force (RIF) when their positions are found to be unnecessary.

In the D.C. article, our unnamed administration official explains that roughly 80% of the federal work force in many departments, including his own, simply don’t do anything.  They plan shopping trips and vacations.  They send out résumés for better-paying positions, perhaps without realizing that any new employer might expect them to actually get some work done.

My experience in employment law teaches me that all federal employees are working under some kind of written contract, whether it’s a collectively bargained contract with a union or an individual employment contract.  As of today (January 18), the shutdown is in its 28th day.  At 30 days, even SES executives loyal to the Democratic Party become vulnerable to the RIF monster.

Lifson believes, and I also suspect, that Trump suckered the Democrats into a battle royale over the southern border wall Trump has proposed.  By refraining from declaring a national emergency and then building the wall (with Department of Defense funds saved from the withdrawal from Syria), Trump can simply bypass Congress.  He can order the Army Corps of Engineers to build it.

I believe that by making that threat and repeating it, but not following through on it, Trump has created a lingering atmosphere in which Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer feel compelled to stop him at any cost.  In political terms, they’re willing to die on this hill.

Immigrants, when they gain the right to vote for the first time, almost always vote for Democrats.  A recent Yale-MIT study reveals that the actual number of illegal aliens in the U.S. is 22 million, which is roughly the populations of Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland combined.  The largest landslide in U.S. presidential history (Reagan vs. Dukakis Mondale, 1980) was 17 million.  And the Democrats want all 22 million to have amnesty, citizenship, and voting rights as quickly as possible.

So Chuckie and Nancy want no wall.  They want no ICE.  They may not have openly expressed the latter sentiment, but several prominent younger voices in their party have done so clearly.

The longer-term goal of a vastly larger, mostly Latino U.S. voting population would be an enormous gain for the Democratic Party, but Trump may bait them into losing their Deep State network of loyal Democratic Party operatives in the bureaucracy.

As Lifson explains, and Michael Roberts explains at The Balance Careers here, on Day 30 of the shutdown, a clause is triggered in these federal employment contracts that enables RIF.  The Office of Personnel Management oversees the RIF process.

A downsizing plan must be presented to OMB on Day 31.  Trump’s team needs to act fast.  The plan must include all of the people who just sit around texting each other about their next leak to MSNBC, or planning their next protest march in a pink hat.  It will take another 30 days to implement the plan.  Roughly 800,000 federal employees could be permanently removed under this plan, with an annual savings of roughly $80 billion in salaries alone.  Including the pensions; the government vehicles; and the rented office space, furniture, and equipment, it could be $150 billion.

In particular, removing the SES employees and their hefty salaries represents a huge savings.  After the massive RIF, Trump could go ahead with Plan B, declare an emergency, and send that order to the Corps of Engineers.  The Democratic Party will be faced with a Hobson’s choice: lose the Latino vote, or lose the Deep State.  I suspect that when presented with this possibility, Chuckie and Nancy will immediately cave in (they aren’t that stupid).

At that point, Trump should raise the stakes.  ”Approve all of my judicial nominees immediately, or the shutdown continues, and the RIF takes effect.  Then I declare an emergency, and I get my border wall anyway.”

Since the Latino vote isn’t a sure thing, they’ll choose to keep the Deep State, and they’ll cave in.  The Latino population will gradually go from mostly pro-Democrat to independent, or even Republican, as so many Latinos in the Rio Grande Valley have done.  Most people outside Texas don’t know this, but Governor Greg Abbott (R-Texas) won with a plurality of the Latino vote – and a slender majority (50%-49%) of Latino males.  If we can duplicate that in the rest of the country, the Democratic Party is finished.

We didn’t hire Trump to go to church with us.  We hired him to clean house.  This is the best chance to get it done.
