Under former president Barack Obama, enrollment in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, the food-stamp program known as SNAP, hit all-time highs.
In 2013, more than 48 million Americans were enrolled in the program. When Obama took office in 2009, there were 33 million using food stamps. That’s an increase of more than 48%.

Wow. If she’s lost a former Greenpeace fanatic, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s path to saving the planet just got a little harder. Granted, Patrick Moore, a co-founder of Greenpeace left the group 15 years ago but the sick burn he issued to the freshman congresswoman was a bit of an entertaining distraction, adding a fresh layer to the political policy debate. “Pompous little twit” is now my favorite response to know-it-all Millennials,
Not that the Green New Deal presented by AOC and her staff was a serious policy paper about climate change. It was a hot mess of a manifesto, pages of utter nonsense only to be taken seriously by Democrat presidential candidates and other Democrats in office afraid to cross the aggressive young legislator. Moore’s not having it, though.

Now 72 years old, Moore walked away from Greenpeace after a take-over by eco-fascists, as he calls the environmental wackos. He also calls out AOC’s hypocrisy. While she’s promoting such extreme positions on dealing with the alleged climate change crisis, she’s living large doing as she wishes without abiding by her own demands. Her carbon footprint is no smaller than anyone else’s.
While AOC demands the end of the combustible engine (automobiles) and airplane travel, she’s traveling by gas guzzling SUV’s and ride-share services instead of public transportation.
The guiding principle of her eco-vision is to bring about “a full transition off fossil fuels and zero greenhouse gases” within 10 years.
To achieve this, the GND fact sheet says, the nation must “totally overhaul transportation by massively expanding electric vehicle manufacturing, build charging stations everywhere, build out high-speed rail … create affordable public transit available to all, with goal to replace every combustion-engine vehicle.”
Apparently, AOC doesn’t recycle or compost, either.
In a Feb. 24 Instagram video filmed in her kitchen, Ocasio-Cortez railed against plastic grocery bags — then appeared to toss two of the sacks, which can be recycled, into the trash.
“It drives me crazy,” she said of plastic bags. “I wish they didn’t exist.”
In the video, Ocasio-Cortez peeled a sweet potato while calling for a “universal sense of urgency” to save the Earth.
But she discarded the vegetable scraps into the same receptacle she had just used for the plastic bags, rather than setting the food waste aside for compost.
Her use of gas-guzzling vehicles producing CO2 emissions allows Moore the opportunity to state an inconvenient truth – the emissions actually help plant life grow and flourish. Moore is not afraid to tout use of fossil fuels and says if AOC had her way, every tree would be chopped down for fuel. Where does that get us? He calls himself a sensible environmentalist. The debate could use a lot more of them.

Moore didn’t appreciate AOC’s reference to climate change as her generation’s WWII, either. “You don’t have a plan to grow food for 8 billion people without fossil fuels, or get food into the cities.”

Fossil fuels are of life-origin & organic, as in the scientific meaning, organic chemistry, the chemistry of carbon. They were made with 100% solar energy. When burned the main products are H2O and CO2, the 2 most important ingredients of all life. So people, stop dissing them.
Simple enough, right? The U.S. has eliminated a larger amount of polluting emissions than any other country. The Paris accord is useless as it doesn’t demand the same performance by other large countries polluting the air like China and India. President Trump was right to call that agreement out as bogus and useless to the U.S. Moore agrees with that, too. How refreshing. AOC could learn a lot from this man if she gave him a chance.

Yet while critics of President Trump’s foreign policy accuse him of a degree of recklessness and immaturity that place the nation’s security at risk, Biden’s service in an administration that gave us the criminal negligence and incompetence of Benghazi, provides us with an example of why he should not be trusted with the nation’s security or the lives of its heroes.
As author and attorney David Shestoksas points out in his review of Betrayed: The Shocking The Shocking True Story of Extortion 17 as told by a Navy SEAL’s Father, Biden betrayed the heroes that killed Osama Bin Laden to further his political ambitions:
On May 1, 2011, Aaron Carson Vaughn, member of America’s elite special operations force, Seal Team VI, called his father, Billy Vaughn and exclaimed:
“Dad, we got him!”
The elder Vaughn asked: “Got who, son?”
Aaron Vaughn replied: “Who do you think? Go turn on the TV.”[1]
On television shortly thereafter, President Obama declared to the nation that Osama Bin Laden, the mastermind of the deadly attacks of September 11, 2001 was dead.

Leon Panetta is one who has taken President Trump to task for his alleged “loose lips.” Panetta himself, it would seem, was also one who needed to be surrounded by adults to keep his loose lips in check, having put the lives of those who took out Osama bin Laden at risk. As Breitbart reported:

Panetta did not reveal that critical intelligence in a private meeting with a foreign emissary, but to the entire world, on CBS News’ 60 Minutes.
Then there is Joe Biden, whose loose lips got members of Seal Team 6 targeted for revenge and killed in an Afghan mission known as Extortion 17. As Investor’s Business Daily recounted on May 28, 2013:

Then on May 3, Vice President Joe Biden got up to speak at a dinner at Washington’s Ritz Carlton Hotel marking the 50th anniversary of the Atlantic Council to spill the beans about Adm. James Stavridis and “the incredible, the phenomenal, the just almost unbelievable capacity of his Navy SEALs and what they did last Sunday.”
From that moment, the families believe, the Taliban looked for an opportunity for revenge, and a government more concerned with politically correct rules of engagement than victory helped them get it.

Apparently, pointing out the obvious makes you a peddler of “hate speech,” at least when it comes to transgender athletes. One British Olympic swimmer is finding that out the hard way.
Sharron Davies, a silver medalist at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow, is currently at the center of a controversy after she tweeted that she didn’t believe biological males ought to be able to compete in women’s events.
“I have nothing against anyone who wishes 2be transgender,” she tweeted.
“However I believe there is a fundamental difference between the binary sex u r born with & the gender u may identify as. To protect women’s sport those with a male sex advantage should not be able 2compete in women’s sport.”

According to the Plymouth (U.K.) Herald, Davies, 56, says she didn’t intend to offend anyone with the tweet.
She also said that others in sports felt the same way, but most weren’t going to speak out.
“Every single woman athlete I’ve spoken to, and I have spoken to many, all of my friends in international sports, understand and feel the same way as me,” she told the BBC.
“Unfortunately, a lot of people who are in the races (now) are in a very difficult predicament when they can’t speak out. It maybe falls to the people who were competing (in the past) who would understand the predicament that is being faced at the moment to try to create a debate, and try to explain how we feel there needs to be a fair and level playing field.”
That sounds reasonable enough, no?
Not to transgender cyclist Rachel McKinnon, who went on Twitter to call Davies a “transphobe” who was “sharing hate speech.”
This remains true even after the Nov 2015 IOC policy making it easier for trans women to compete. No trans woman has won an elite world championship medal. The fear that trans women will suddenly ‘take over’ sport is irrational, which is the very definition of transphobia. (2/3)

“There is no debate to be had over whether trans women athletes have an unfair advantage: it’s clear that they don’t,” McKinnon wrote.
Of course, don’t tell that to female track athletes in Connecticut, where two biological males have been running away (pun unintended) with the competitions this year.
“I am very happy for these athletes and I fully support them for being true to themselves and having the courage to do what they believe in,” Selina Soule, one of the other competitors, told Fox News.
“But, in athletics, it’s an entirely different situation. It’s scientifically proven that males are built to be physically stronger than females. It’s unfair to put someone who is biologically a male, who has not undergone anything in terms of hormone therapy, against cisgender girls.”
Even with hormone therapy, there are still significant differences in terms of bone structure and physical makeup that can confer advantages. At least Davies wasn’t alone in pointing this out.
“This is not about how people live their lives, who they are or who people chose to be; that should never be questioned,” middle-distance British runner Dame Kelly Holmes, a former gold-medalist, said in Davies’ defense, the Plymouth Herald reported. “But setting fair and safe markers in sport is a must.”
Even if it means risking being called out for “sharing hate speech.”

President Trump isn’t the only 2020 U.S. presidential election contender who has set up a humorous website error page, with Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-VT) taking a shot at President Trump on his.
“We’ve run into a yuuuuge problem,” Sanders’ error page declares. “While the rich get richer, almost everyone else gets poorer. Democracy is in crisis and oligarchy looms. What we know is determined by the corporate media. Our health care system is in shambles. Our educational system is in crisis. And you’ve landed on a page on our website that doesn’t exist. We can fix it.”

In a cautionary tale for people who opt to have their dinners delivered to them, a Tennesee man was arrested over an “off the menu” additive to a customer’s order.
Delivery driver Howard Matthew “Matt” Webb of Maryville was pissed off over what he believed as an insufficient tip and dipped his balls into the salsa of the unsuspecting recipient of the food that they had ordered from a Mexican restaurant.
Webb would never have been caught perpetrating this nasty deed were it not for his decision to post it on social media where it predictably went viral and once again, police were delighted by dumbass perps who film themselves during the commission of a crime.

A customer ordering Mexican takeout in Tennessee got more than she bargained for when police say a man riding in the delivery vehicle dipped his testicles into a container of salsa.
The delivery driver recorded the vile act on her cellphone and posted the 14-second video on Facebook, saying off-camera with a laugh: ‘This is what you get when you give an 89 cents tip for an almost 30-minute drive.’
The passenger accused of tainting the food, 31-year-old Howard Matthew ‘Matt’ Webb, was arrested last week and charged with adulteration of food, a felony.
According to an arrest affidavit cited by WBIR, the stomach-turning incident took place on January 12, when a customer with a reputation for under-tipping drivers had placed an order with a local Mexican eatery.
Webb was riding as a passenger in the vehicle of an independent delivery driver working with the regional food service Dinner Delivered. It is unclear why the man was in the car that night.
After the deliverywoman and her sidekick picked up the takeout order from the restaurant to take it to the customer’s home, they made the video.
The footage shows a man identified as Webb putting the plastic cup of salsa against his crotch and apparently dipping his testicles inside.
Webb is heard saying in the video: ‘Oh, it feels good.’

Friday on Fox News Channel’s “The Ingraham Angle,” National Economic Council director Larry Kudlow warned that despite economic conditions being positive in this current timeframe, which ought to a positive sign for capitalism, there is still a push in the country to adopt socialist policies.
Kudlow, who was following up on an earlier CPAC speech he gave, argued that now was the time to “put socialism on trial” and push toward a conviction of socialism.
“It’s an act of desperation,” Kudlow said of the move toward socialism. “But my message to CPAC is a simple one: We have to put socialism on trial. We have to challenge it. We have to rebut it. We have to put pencil to paper to show what it is going to do to the economy. We have to deal with the moral dimensions of it. And then we must convict socialism. And then we should not wait. Do not let this fester. Let’s get going right now and let’s do it in a way that’s serious. This is a teachable moment in my opinion, and the polls show most people prefer capitalism to socialism. But that is our task ahead.”
