Smugglers Continue Use of Large Migrant Groups to Distract Border Patrol at Texas Border

Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol agents continue to see the use of “large migrant groups” as a tactic by smugglers to distract and tie-up agents. This week, agents apprehended two large groups totaling nearly 250 Central American migrants.

McAllen Border Patrol Station agents encountered a large group of migrants who illegally crossed the border on Sunday near Hidalgo, Texas. The agents responding to the incident reported a group of 100 migrants from Central and South America, according to information obtained from Rio Grande Sector Border Patrol officials. The group consisted of family units, unaccompanied alien children, and single adults who traveled to the U.S. from Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua.

Border Patrol defines a “large group” as 100 or more migrants who cross illegally in a single incident.

Later in the week, McAllen Station Border Patrol agents again encountered a large group crossing near Los Ebanos, Texas. The agents received a report of the group walking north from the Rio Grande on Wednesday. Agents responded to the scene and took 146 migrants into custody. Officials report the large group consisted of family units, unaccompanied minors, and single adults who traveled to the U.S. from El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua.

Border Patrol officials previously stated that smugglers utilize large groups to tie up Border Patrol resources in an area. This tactic allows smugglers to move drugs and other “high value” migrants who do not wish to surrender across the border while the agents are tied up processing the large groups.

Despite a 24 percent drop in migrant crossings in July, the apprehension of migrants who illegally cross the border from Mexico is still up by more than 130 percent over the previous year, Breitbart News reported on Thursday.

The Rio Grande Valley (RGV) Sector continues to lead the other nine border patrol sectors in migrant family apprehensions with 45 percent of all apprehensions. Agents in the RGV Sector apprehended 191,768 of the 432,838 FMUA apprehensions in July YTD numbers — up 305 percent from the previous year. The El Paso Sector jumped by 1,510 percent in FY19 with 124,873 FMUA apprehensions and Yuma was third with 50,172 FMUAs — up 367 percent.

Former “Celebrity Apprentice” contestant: I’ll wear my MAGA hat to SoulCycle

Former Celebrity Apprentice contestant and Trump supporter Erin Elmore is pushing back on the call for a SoulCycle boycott. She is calling out entertainment industry scolds as hypocritical. She vows to wear her red MAGA hat to a SoulCycle class.

What could possibly go wrong? Elmore specifically targeted remarks from model/cookbook author Chrissy Teigen (Mrs. John Legend) as a motivation for her response to the boycott called for by one-percenters on both coasts. She gave voice to what most of us have thought for a long time – why does anyone look to Teigen as an expert on anything except posing for cameras and maybe cooking? It is disturbing that the elites on the left look to her or any celebrity for that matter as a political sherpa, guiding others on what to think or not to think on any hot button issue. Remember back in April when Teigen and Legend were guests of Pelosi and Democrats at a retreat and given the opportunity to spout off on the topics of the day, but mostly to bash Trump? That was when I first noticed that Democrats actually give credibility to the opinions of the model and her singer husband.

But Elmore took exception to Tiegen’s boycott campaign, telling Fox News ‘Un-PC’ host Britt McHenry that the backlash against the gyms is, ‘driving me crazy.’

‘I go to SoulCycle every day and I want to lose my mind,’ Elmore said. ‘They preach to me every day, “Inclusion, inclusion, inclusion. This is a place for everybody,” and then someone raises money for Trump, they’re like, ‘That’s it. I quit”.’

She’s right, of course. It’s all fun and games and “inclusion” until someone voices support for a Republican or gives approval for conservative politics. For the angry left, inclusion, and tolerance of differing opinions is a one-way street.

‘[Teigen] goes online and says, “We should ban SoulCycle. We should boycott SoulCycle.” On the wall it says inclusion for everybody. That only means for Democrats, clearly,’ Elmore continued. ‘I’m going and wearing my MAGA hat. I’m just warning everybody now. Talk about getting beat up or doxxed. I’m on my way to that train station because, beep beep, here it comes. I am wearing my MAGA hat, to soul cycle, on Monday. Who’s coming with me? Who’s coming with me?!’

Elmore is a supporter of President Trump and was a campaign surrogate in 2016. She wrote an op-ed that was published in October 2016 in which she described her experience on the Celebrity Apprentice reality television show and took the opportunity to support him against personal attacks in the media. So, it’s not surprising that she is now pushing back on the hysterical left’s call for boycotting any business linked to a Trump friend or supporter.

Elmore is now a political strategist, lawyer, and Turning Point USA brand ambassador, according to her Instagram account. She was a contestant on season three of the Celebrity Apprentice.

The Democrats have failed so far to learn the lessons of 2016. When attacked, Trump punches back and his supporters rally to his defense. In the case of the SoulCycle boycott, the result is that the Trump campaign’s coffers are fuller than expected. The expected amount to be raised from the Friday fundraiser at Stephen Ross’s Hamptons house and a second fundraiser was $10 million but the total was $12 million. The second fundraiser was hosted by Rep. Lee Zeldin, Don Trump, Jr. and Kimberly Guilfoyle.

President Trump raised $12 million at two Hamptons fundraisers Friday, adding to the massive campaign warchest he’s amassing for his 2020 re-election campaign.

Trump retweeted Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel, who wrote: “Thanks to the unhinged mob on the left, @realDonaldTrump raised $12M today, $2M more than originally expected. The support for our President is unprecedented and growing!”

Maybe Elmore will carry through with wearing a MAGA hat to a SoulCycle class. She could have the hat with her and slip it on as a class starts and watch the reactions from her classmates. Captured on video, of course. That might be an entertaining bit of reality television on its own.

The 66-year-old financier was hospitalized in July after he was found unresponsive in what appeared to be a possible suicide attempt.

In July Epstein was found injured and in a fetal position inside his cell at a New York City jail.

He was reportedly put under suicide watch.

On Saturday he reportedly hanged himself.

Within an hour #ClintonBodyCount was trending on Twitter.

By noon the #ClintonBodyCount hashtag had over 84,000 mentions.

So Twitter took it down.
It was too damaging to the Clintons and Democrat Party.

Trump Body Count… That makes no sense — was still up despite having less than a third number of mentions as the Clinton hashtag.

Several TGP readers are telling us the #ClintonBodyCount hashtag was deleted from the trending list this afternoon.

Democrat Leaders in Illinois Warn Illegal Aliens of Possible ICE Raids

Democrat leaders in Illinois urged illegal aliens to know their rights after U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents were reportedly seen in a Chicago neighborhood on Thursday.

“If @ICEgov tries to intimidate you or your family, know your rights,” Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker tweeted. “The state of Illinois refuses to coordinate with federal immigration enforcement. I signed a law ensuring local law enforcement does the same. We’re doing all we can to protect our residents.”

Byron Sigcho-Lopez, 25th Ward alderman, tweeted that his office had received reports of ICE agents approaching businesses and homes in the Pilsen area.

“We’ve confirmed these reports with the National Immigrant Justice Center,” he said.

The reports come after ICE agents arrested 680 illegal aliens in Mississippi this week, the largest single-state raid in U.S. history, Breitbart News reported.

The individuals were arrested at seven food processing plants across six cities including Bay Springs, Carthage, Canton, Morton, Pelahatchie, and Sebastapol.

“According to federal officials, some of the hundreds of illegal aliens arrested on Wednesday have already been ordered deported by an immigration judge and have refused to self-deport. Those illegal aliens will be quickly deported,” the report said.

A press release from the ICE website stated that the agency will investigate the individuals arrested on a case-by-case basis.

“In all cases, all the illegal aliens encountered as part of this operation are either being placed into removal proceedings before the federal immigration courts, and for those who already received due process and have been ordered removed, processed for removal from the U.S.,” the release said.

However, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) called on President Trump during an interview Thursday to stop the raids, comparing them to the tactics of the Nazi secret police.

“I think it’s unfortunate when ICE has to be made into this kind of agency and to be an intimidator rather than an agency that has in the past made sure that we are safe in this nation,” she said.

“But when their neighbors are rounded up in a vile way, when children are left unprotected, I’m disappointed. And the president and Stephen Miller need to stop these Gestapo tactics, and we need to work together to pass comprehensive immigration reform,” Lee concluded.

“Appalled” Attorney General Barr Statement on Investigations into Epstein Death in Federal Prison

Attorney General William Barr released a statement Saturday on the investigations into the death of Jeffrey Epstein in an apparent suicide in while in federal custody at the Manhattan Correctional Center in New York City early Saturday morning. The FBI and the DOJ IG are investigating Epstein’s death, Barr said.

“I was appalled to learn that Jeffrey Epstein was found dead early this morning from an apparent suicide while in federal custody. Mr. Epstein’s death raises serious questions that must be answered. In addition to the FBI’s investigation, I have consulted with the Inspector General who is opening an investigation into the circumstances of Mr. Epstein’s death.”

An earlier report described Barr as “livid” about Epstein’s death, “Attorney General William P. Barr, upon being informed of Epstein’s death while in federal custody, was ‘livid’ and determined to figure out exactly what happened, said a person familiar with his reaction.”

Sen. Ben Sasse: ‘Inexcusable’ Epstein Not Under Constant Suicide Watch

It was “inexcusable” that deceased financier Jeffrey Epstein was not kept under constant suicide watch in his cell, said Sen. Ben Sasse (R-NE) on Saturday morning.

“It is inexcusable that this rapist was not under constant suicide watch. These victims deserved to face their serial abuser in court,” he said in a statement.

“As a private matter, our house is praying for both Epstein’s family and the many women who were denied justice in this life,” he continued. “But as a matter of public policy, the government has failed these girls yet again.”

Breitbart News reported Saturday that Epstein was found dead in his Manhattan jail cell after he committed suicide by hanging himself.

Epstein had been charged on sex-trafficking-related charges in July.

On July 24, Epstein was found semi-conscious on the floor of his cell after an alleged suicide attempt. Authorities said they discovered “marks on his neck” but said his injuries were not serious.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) called for answers on Twitter Saturday regarding Epstein’s death.

“We need answers. Lots of them,” she wrote.

Attorney General William Barr echoed Ocasio-Cortez’s comment Saturday in a statement and said he will be looking into the circumstances surrounding Epstein’s death.

The statement read:

I was appalled to learn that Jeffrey Epstein was found dead early this morning from an apparent suicide while in federal custody. Mr. Epstein’s death raises serious questions that must be answered. In addition to the FBI’s investigation, I have consulted with the Inspector General who is opening an investigation into the circumstances of Mr. Epstein’s death.

Jennifer Araoz, one of Epstein’s accusers, voiced her frustration about the recent events because she was hopeful his indictment would provide answers regarding the alleged crimes.

“I am angry Jeffrey Epstein won’t have to face his survivors of his abuse in court,” Araoz said. “We have to live with the scars of his actions for the rest of our lives, while he will never face the consequences of the crimes he committed, the pain and trauma he caused so many people.”

“Epstein is gone, but justice must be served,” she concluded.
