Two illegal aliens shielded from deportation by President Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program are suing the Trump administration to ensure they can collect federal welfare and still obtain green cards to permanently stay in the United States.

The open borders group CASA de Maryland and two DACA illegal aliens are suing the Trump administration over its soon-t0-be enforcement of the “public charge” rule, which would save American taxpayers billions by effectively ending welfare-dependent legal immigration to the U.S.

The regulation prevents legal immigrants from permanently resettling in the U.S. by obtaining green cards so long as they are found to have used or likely to use welfare programs like food stamps and subsidized health care.

The DACA illegal aliens, represented by Georgetown Law’s Institute for Constitutional Advocacy and Protection (ICAP), want a preliminary injunction to stop the implementation of the public charge rule while the case goes through the courts, calling an end to welfare-dependent immigration “discriminatory” and suggesting the rule is racist against non-white immigrants.

“The new rule would allow immigration officials to deny [Lawful Permanent Resident] status to many immigrants in an arbitrary and discriminatory way,” Amy Marshak, senior counsel at ICAP, said in a statement. “This is by design. President Trump and his advisors have expressed animus toward non-white immigrants, and studies already have shown that the new rule will disproportionately affect immigrants of color.”

The lawsuit seeks to ensure that DACA illegal aliens, who have lobbied for DACA amnesty for years, would be able to obtain green cards if such an amnesty is granted despite them having used welfare that U.S. taxpayers have been forced to pay for.

“The new rule would expand the concept of a ‘public charge’ beyond recognition, making someone who receives little more than $1500 in food stamps or a few benefits at the same time for less than a year into a ‘public charge,’” ICAP counsel Jonathan Backer said. “That is not what anyone has ever understood the term to mean.”

Despite outrage from the open borders lobby, Democrats, and establishment media, Trump’s seeking to end welfare-dependent immigration is hugely popular with Hispanic Americans and U.S. voters overall.

The latest Harvard/Harris Poll finds Hispanic Americans, by a majority of 56 percent, support denying permanent residency to immigrants who are known to have used welfare or are likely to use welfare. Likewise, a majority of 65 percent of Hispanic Americans said illegal aliens should not be allowed to draw from taxpayer-funded welfare programs, as well as 71 percent of black Americans.

A study by the Center for Immigration Studies notes that about 63 percent of noncitizen households in the U.S. use at least one form of taxpayer-funded welfare, while only about 35 percent of native-born American households are on welfare. This means that noncitizen households use nearly twice as much welfare as native-born American households.

The Congressional Budget Office has estimated that granting amnesty to roughly 3.5 million enrolled and eligible DACA illegal aliens would cost American citizens at least $26 billion as about one in five DACA illegal aliens would end up on food stamps, and at least one in seven would go on Medicaid.

The case is Aguiluz v. Trump, No. 8:19-cv-02715-CBD in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland.

Airbus is reportedly testing a new digital platform on its A350-900 test plane which would monitor every passenger action, from chosen meal preferences to in-flight purchases and even bathroom habits.

Business Insider reports that the aviation giant Airbus announced this week that it has started in-flight trials of its newest cabin technology which will connect passengers and crew to different elements of the plane such as seats, cargo, and bathrooms. Airbus unveiled its plans for its Connected Experience at the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) Expo last year.

The platform links real-time information generated from cabin components such as meal trolleys and overhead bins to passengers and crew members on the flight in an effort to create a more personalized experience. Of course, all of this information is digitally traceable and just another example of modern companies collecting mass amounts of personal data from its customers.

Airbus stated that the data collected from the platform will be uploaded to the “Skywise” cloud service, an open data platform developed by Airbus. The firm claims that the platform provides significant benefits to flight crews and will allow them to access passenger information such as meal and seat preferences more easily. Airbus claims that this will provide a more personalized travel experience for passengers while airlines will be able to utilize cabin equipment trends to perform “predictive maintenance” on the most used facilities on the plane.

Ingo Wuggetzer, Airbus’s vice president of cabin marketing, said at the aviation trade show in Los Angeles this week that the technology could help flight crew to determine if a passenger in the lavatory may need assistance. The firm plans to roll out the technology on A321 planes in 2021, and its larger A350 series in 2023. Wuggetzer commented on the new system stating: “It’s not a concept, it’s not a dream: It’s reality.”

A moratorium on the refugee resettlement program is “long overdue,” columnist Michelle Malkin says, after American communities have been forced to absorb hundreds of thousands of refugees from across the globe over the last four decades.

During an exclusive interview with SiriusXM Patriot’s Breitbart News Daily, Malkin — whose latest book, Open Borders Inc: Who’s Funding America’s Destruction?, is now available — said she is encouraged by reports that the Trump administration is looking to halt the mass importation of refugees to the U.S.

“This administration understands the threat that every one of these global compacts poses to American sovereignty, and of course, they are putting that understanding into action, and it’s very encouraging for me to hear plans floated of zeroing out the refugee resettlement numbers,” Malkin said.

“A moratorium is long overdue,” Malkin continued. “Not only for the cultural and financial impact that it’s causing on these working-class neighborhoods and towns that never got a say in whether they wanted these refugees largely from Muslim countries and African countries in the first place, but also again, on September 11, to consider the national security implications of bringing people over here who have an unshakable hatred of all things Western.”

The U.S., thanks exclusively to President Trump’s reforms, helped lower the total number of foreign refugees to less than 23,000 admissions last year. This is a 76 percent decrease in foreign refugee resettlement from former President Obama’s 2016 totals, which reached almost 100,000 admissions. Specifically, Trump has cut the Syria-to-U.S. pipeline of refugees — started by Obama — by more than 60 percent thus far.

Since October 2001, just a month after the September 11, 2001, Islamic terrorist attacks, the U.S. has imported nearly a million refugees, with the overwhelming majority being resettled in California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, New York, Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Washington, and Texas.

Including refugees who have been brought to the U.S. on humanitarian programs like the Special Immigrant Juveniles and the Nicaraguan Adjustment and Central American Relief Act, the country has imported a refugee population since 2001 that far exceeds the population of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and is at least three times the population of Boston, Massachusetts.

Refugee resettlement costs American taxpayers about $1.8 billion a year and about $8.8 billion over the course of five years, research by the Federation for American Immigration Reform has revealed.

It’s amazing what a seemingly accidental connection can result in. In many cases, when someone has the wrong number, that’s all they’re told — communication doesn’t go beyond that.

For Abby Fink, a wrong number ended in a wave of blessings that no one could have anticipated.

Fink meant to send a message to the Jakeman family, who is going through a difficult time. According to a GoFundMe page set up for them, their adopted 4-year-old son, Noah, experienced some life-threatening events that landed him in the ICU at the Phoenix Children’s Hospital.

“A week ago Noah was admitted to the ICU with respiratory failure and placed on life support,” the GoFundMe reads. “His mom Alex is staying by his side until he can leave the ICU. They do not have family that are able to provide child care for their other children so Shaun has had to take time off from work to care them. Since he hasn’t been able to work it is taking a financial toll on the family.”

Fink was planning on bringing the family a meal, but she got one of the digits in the phone number wrong.

“Hey brother Jakeman, this is sister Fink! We are bringing you dinner tomorrow,” she wrote, according to KNXV-TV. “I was wondering what time would be a good time to bring it over?”

The recipient of the text message was a man named Bill who decided to have some fun with the unanticipated message.

“Oooh! What are you bringing me? I’m allergic to seafood,” he responded.

When Fink responded, though, and explained that she was trying to get in touch with a family whose son was gravely ill, he was quick to change his tune.

“What can I do to help?” he asked.

When Fink said he could pray for Noah, Bill responded that he didn’t pray, but he’d be happy to help in other ways. He even posted on Reddit that he’d managed to get a charity involved and rounded up people to donate and lend a hand.

“I’ve gotten in touch with a charity to help him,” Bill wrote. “I’ve gotten people to help with meals and laundry. Now, I’m rallying people to send this kids some love. He’s at the Phoenix Children’s Hospital. Noah is off the ventilator, so now he can receive gifts as long as they are not flowers or latex balloons.”

“His full story is that is 3 and has cerebral palsy,” Bill continued. “He got sick in the back seat of the car and threw up. Some vomit went into his lungs and they rushed him to the hospital as he couldn’t breathe. He wound up with pneumonia and a collapsed lung. He then wound up with sepsis and blood poisoning.”

“He is finally off of the ventilator but is still on a GI tube so he can better [absorb] his medicine. Because he is off the ventilator, he can receive care packages as long they are not flowers or latex balloons. He loves Harry Potter, Star Wars, Mickey and dinosaurs. He can only see the color red, green, blue and black.”

Fink and the Jakeman family were both shocked at the love and support that came pouring in over a misdialed number. Bill, who has a son of his own, apparently told them it’s “just what people do.”

“We were just really touched and in awe that a perfect stranger, that all he knew was that a little boy was in the ICU and he just wanted to jump into action,” Noah’s mom, Alex, told KNXV-TV.

“I’m thinking to myself, no that’s not what people do because it’s hard to find good people, good genuine people who want to serve and help others,” Fink said.

“I told Bill, ‘I don’t know if you believe in God or not, but I believe you were sent here to help this family.’ I told him he was an angel.”

Vice President Mike Pence told social conservatives gathered for an event in Washington, D.C., on Thursday night that casting the deciding vote to defund Planned Parenthood was a “great honor.”

In March 2017, Pence broke a 50-50 tie in the Senate on legislation which allowed states to withhold funds from the nation’s top abortion provider, according to USA Today.

GOP Sens. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Susan Collins of Maine had broken ranks, necessitating the vice president to step in as president of the Senate.

“I don’t know if I have had a greater honor than to cast the tie-breaking vote to defund Planned Parenthood,” Pence told attendees at the gala celebrating the 40th anniversary of Concerned Women for America on Thursday, The Daily Caller reported.

“I couldn’t be more proud to serve as vice president for a president who stands without apology for the sanctity of human life,” Pence added. “This president will always stand for the unalienable right to life.”

CBN News congressional correspondent Abigail Robertson, who served as master of ceremonies for the event, told The Western Journal that Pence’s remarks were very well received.

“Vice President Mike Pence spoke to an appreciative crowd at the CWA 40th anniversary gala, receiving over ten standing ovations,” Robertson said. “His comments on efforts to defund Planned Parenthood definitely resounded with the audience.”

“Many in the crowd commented on the passion in Pence’s remarks, with one attendee telling me that he is a politician who walks the walk when it comes to standing for biblical and constitutional principles in our country,” she added.

Pence’s remarks definitely resonated with Concerned Women for America President Penny Nance.

“Mike Pence understands that American taxpayers do not support Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider, nor their insidious behavior,” Nance said in a statement to The Western Journal.

“PPA has been caught aiding and abetting people they believed to be sex traffickers, covering up child abuse and selling baby body parts,” she added. “The time has come to reprogram our tax dollars to other worthy organizations that care for poor women and their babies but do not destroy human life.”

In January, Pence made a surprise visit to the 46th annual March for Life in Washington.

The march is meant to protest the Supreme Court’s 1973 Roe v. Wade decision, which overturned all state laws outlawing abortion nationwide.

“It’s an extraordinarily important event,” the vice president told Ben Shapiro on the conservative commentator’s radio program, which was broadcast live at the March for Life.

“You think 46 years ago this month the majority of the Supreme Court of the United States turned its back on the unalienable right to life,” he said.

Pence went on to observe, “And here nearly a half-century later, generations of Americans have come together to say, ‘No, we are going to put the sanctity of life back at the center of American law,’ I believe in our lifetime we will accomplish that.”

In a tweet after his appearance at the event, Pence highlighted some of the actions the Trump administration has taken to advance the pro-life cause.

The Trump administration’s most recent victory on the pro-life front came when the Department of Health and Human Services implemented a new rule for Title X family-planning health services last month, which resulted in Planned Parenthood choosing to stop taking federal dollars.

The rule precludes family-planning providers who receive federal money from recommending abortion. Title X funds were never authorized to pay for abortion procedures themselves.

However, because money is fungible, Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers have been able (until now) to use the federal dollars to help subsidize the overall costs of their clinics.

In addition to Pence, other featured speakers at CWA’s gala included former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, GOP Sen. Joni Ernst of Iowa, CWA founder and chairwoman Dr. Beverly LaHaye and Nance.

Democratic presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke has never known what he’s talking about, but his newfound pet project has really sent him over the edge.

That issue is, of course, gun control, and not moderate, debatable gun control.

We’re talking about full-blown confiscation, and the former Texas congressman’s enthusiasm for it is almost as pathetic as his ideas on how to accomplish it.

Beto’s latest move is to take on the financial industry, calling for banks and credit card companies to comply with his mandates for gun purchases.

“Credit cards have enabled many of America’s mass shootings in the last decade — and with Washington unwilling to act, they need to cut off the sales of weapons of war today,” the floundering candidate wrote Thursday on Twitter.

My oh my. There’s quite a bit wrong with that.

First, he never offers a definition of “assault weapons,” which completely ruins points No. 1 and 3. If you’re calling for something to be banned and taken away, you have to know exactly what that thing is.

I doubt O’Rourke’s definition involves anything other than cosmetics or even safety features, such as collapsing stocks or barrel shrouds.

Unfortunately, it’s equally likely his definition would be so expansive (for example, all semiautomatic firearms) that pretty much every gun manufacturer would be ineligible for business.

Second, it’s blatantly obvious that Beto doesn’t know how gun sales work.

Let’s take a look at point No. 2. He wants credit card companies to stop processing transactions for gun sales without background checks, which is quite absurd.

The only transactions that don’t require background checks are person-to-person private sales. When’s the last time you’ve used your credit card to buy something out of someone’s trunk?

Likely never, which is the point. These transactions are done with cash, which means gun sales completed with credit cards (yes, even online and at gun shows) are contingent on the required background check.

Now, is this a real critique of Beto’s policy? Of course not, but it’s still important.

This is a man trying to persuade people to make him the most powerful man in the world, and his primary goal apparently is to steal millions of guns from innocent Americans.

It’s not too much to ask that someone with that kind of aspiration should know what he’s talking about. Instead, his pet project is based on emotion, ignorance and unwarranted arrogance.

Fortunately, it looks like O’Rourke’s road to being tyrant is getting narrower by the day (he’s seventh in the RealClearPolitics polling average at 2.8 percent), so we can look forward to the day he faceplants for good.

Until then, Beto will remain the laughingstock of the Democratic field. And that’s saying something.
