Ben Watson: Drew Brees’ Message to Kids to Bring Bible to School & Tell People About Faith Will Last

Speaking on Fox News Channel’s “FOX & Friends” on Monday, New England Patriots tight end and outspoken Christian Benjamin Watson discussed New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees’ recent comments, Watson suggesting that Brees’ message to kids to bring their Bible to school and to tell people about their faith is the message that will last.

“Well, I think what’s going to last is the children that have been encouraged by Drew Brees, one of their heroes, to bring their Bibles to school,” stated Benjamin Watson when asked what he thought would last, the attack on Brees or his response. “And not only bring their Bibles to school but to tell people about their faith.”

As reported by CNSNews.com, “Last month, Focus on the Family released video featuring Drew Brees encouraging kids to “live out your faith on Bring Your Bible to School Day” on Oct. 3 – prompting harsh criticism from LGBTQ activists opposed to traditional Bible-based beliefs on issues such as marriage and sexuality.”

Former NFL players Donovan McNabb, Erik Coleman and Chris Valletta, also on “FOX & Friends” recently, defended Drew Brees against the backlash against his video message that encouraged kids to bring their Bibles to school on “National Bring Your Bible To School Day,” according to CNSNews.com.

Later in the interview on “FOX & Friends,” Watson further suggested that “[t]his back and forth” concerning the LGBTQ movement and the religoius community “is not going to end any time soon.

“I think it’s incumbent upon people to who have been attacked, people that are in the religious community to say, ‘Well, you know what, we’re being attacked as “anti.” Maybe we need to love more. Maybe we need to express our beliefs in a way that’s not as condemning more. We need to continue to reach out and prove that these things aren’t true,’” Watson concluded.

Former NFL Stars Defend Saints QB Drew Brees: ‘Model American Athlete;’ ‘Sending a Good Message’

(CNSNews.com)- Speaking on “Fox and Friends” on Sunday, former NFL players Donovan McNabb, Erik Coleman and Chris Valletta defended New Orleans Saints Quarterback Drew Brees from the backlash against his video message encouraging kids to bring their Bibles to school on “National Bring Your Bible To School Day.”

Last month, Focus on the Family released video featuring Drew Brees encouraging kids to “live out your faith on Bring Your Bible to School Day” on Oct. 3 – prompting harsh criticism from LGBTQ activists opposed to traditional Bible-based beliefs on issues such as marriage and sexuality.

“I like the fact that he pushed back,” Erik Coleman, a former NFL safety for the New York Jets, Atlanta Falcons and Detroit Lions said. “Here we are in an age where a quarterback of the NFL team promotes kids to bring bibles to school, promotes something positive and he gets crushed for it. I think it’s a shame and I’m glad that he pushed back.”

On September 5, Brees posted a video on Twitter defending himself from the backlash, explaining that he lives “by two very simple Christian fundamentals”:

“I’d like to set the record straight. I live by two very simple Christian fundamentals, and that is: love the Lord with all your heart, mind, and soul, and love your neighbor as yourself. I think the first one is very self-explanatory. The second one, love your neighbor as yourself, what does that mean to me? That means love all, respect all, and accept all.

“So that is actually how I live my life. That is what I try to do with my family, with my teammates, with people in my community, with my friends, all people. No matter what your race, your color, your religious preference, your sexual orientation, your political beliefs, it doesn’t matter.

“So, the fact that these rumors have been spread about me, are completely untrue. What I did was I filmed a video recently that was encouraging kids to bring their Bibles to school for national ‘Bring Your Bible to School Day.’ To bring their Bibles to school. To be able to live out your faith with confidence. And I even gave one of my favorite Bible verses. It was as simple as that.

“So, I’m not sure why the negativity spread or why people tried to rope me into certain negativity. I do not support any groups that discriminate or that have their own agendas that are trying to promote inequality. Hopefully, that set the record straight and we can all move on because that is not what I stand for.”

The Trayvon Hoax That Divided America Is About to Be Exposed

On Monday. September 16, Joel Gilbert will preview his new documentary, “The Trayvon Hoax,” in the 500-seat Ballroom of the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. The screening begins at 1 p.m. Admission is free, and Gilbert is encouraging all interested parties to come see for themselves what could be a game-changer in the way the media report racially-charged news. Gilbert’s findings are that significant.

Having written a book on the 2012 shooting death of Trayvon Martin — If I Had a Son— I have been following Gilbert’s progress with interest. In fact, I introduced Gilbert to George Zimmerman, the man who shot Martin. Those who have followed the case know that not since the Scottsboro boys has any ordinary citizen endured the kind of malicious and conspicuously false reporting Zimmerman has. My hope was that Gilbert would set the record straight.

Gilbert has done that and more. In the course of his relentless research into the shooting and subsequent trial, I can say without risk of overstatement that he has unearthed a legal fraud the likes of which I know no parallel. Not only has Gilbert discovered it, but he has also proved it six ways from Sunday, including DNA and handwriting analysis.

If I were Trayvon Martin’s parents or his family’s attorneys, I would be very nervous right now. If I were Florida state attorneys who prosecuted the case, I would be more nervous still. And if I were the media who covered this case — are you listening Matt Gutman and Lisa Bloom? — I would prepare to be mortified. The coverage of this case was a disgrace from day one.

To uncover this staggering fraud, Gilbert did what reporters used to do. He immersed himself in the milieu that produced Trayvon Martin. He mastered the patois of urban black Miami. He reviewed the thousands of text messages, tweets, Facebook and Instagram postings sent and received by Martin and his friends. He interviewed George Zimmerman and heard, from the only person who knew, Martin’s final words, words that revealed the cause of Martin’s tragic downward spiral.

Gilbert did some serious shoe leather reporting as well. He visited all the relevant Miami-area high schools, the neighborhoods where Martin and his friends hung out, the streets of Miami’s Little Haiti, and the town community where Martin died.

At the end of his research, Gilbert knew Trayvon Martin better than his parents did, literally. As their deposition revealed, they had no idea how Martin’s life had descended into a violent mix of street fighting, guns, drugs, burglary, and sex. Although both parents made good incomes, their separate lives created an abyss where a home should have been, and their once promising son fell straight to the bottom of it.

Unwilling to accept their own responsibility for his demise, they took the bait promised by the family attorneys and sweetened by the media and projected their guilt on to George Zimmerman. Although an Obama supporter and civil rights activist, the half-Hispanic Zimmerman proved to be just white enough to play the “racist” killer role in the unholy melodrama that followed.

In the documentary and even more so in the accompanying book of the same name, the Trayvon Hoax, Gilbert shows how politicians — are you listening Andrew Gillum and Barack Obama? — exploited the ensuing racial divisions to further their political goals. The gratuitous anger the media and political class stoked throughout this case led to the creation of Black Lives Matter, the parallel Ferguson hoax, and a crime wave that that has devastated black America.

All of this was based on one spectacular fraud, and Joel Gilbert uncovered it. The film trailer and website will be live on Thursday, Sept 12. “The Trayvon Hoax,” book and documentary, will be released and available on Amazon later this week in DVD, digital, paperback, and ebook formats.

Democrats Can’t Deport ’11 Million’ Illegals, but Will Confiscate 16 Million AR-15s

Democrats refuse to deport “11 million” illegal immigrants, but they have no problem confiscating 16 million AR-15s from law-abiding citizens.

On May 19, 2016, the New York Times ran a story asking, “What would it take to deport 11 million and build a wall?”

On September 29, 2016, the Nation asked, “What if the US really did deport 11 million people?”

Politico followed the June 27, 2019, Democrat presidential debate by suggesting candidates made a mistake by calling attention to “11 million” illegal immigrants without even asking, “Should there be any limit on who gets to come to the United States?”

Suffice it to say, “11 million” is a go-to figure for Democrats and their surrogates in the establishment media. And the “11 million” illegals are people the Democrats refuse to deport.

But Democrat presidential candidates such as Kamala Harris and Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke have no problem open talking about confiscating the 16 million-plus AR-15s owned by law-abiding citizens in this country. (The National Shooting Sports Foundation confirmed the figure of 16 million-plus to Breitbart.)

Harris, for her part, says she is not sure about the details on taking the guns, she only knows it would be a government-mandated buyback.

O’Rourke paints of a picture of taking the guns that makes it look simple as can be. During a weekend campaign stop in Manchester, New Hampshire, he made clear his belief that people will comply with an AR-15 ban, alleviating the need to send police door-to-door for the firearms.

Harris’ campaign website pledges she is dedicated to a “pathway to citizenship for the 11 million people living in our communities and contributing to our economy.” And on June 26, 2019, the New York Times reported O’Rourke wants “Congress to enact legislation that would create a path to citizenship for 11 million undocumented people and rewrite immigration rules to prioritize family unity.”

But the 16 million-plus AR-15s have to go.

Poles Who Saved Jews During Holocaust Honoured in Warsaw

WARSAW, Poland (AP) — A U.S.-based Jewish foundation has held an event in Warsaw to honour Polish gentiles who rescued Jews during the Holocaust, with U.S. and Israeli diplomats also paying their respects to the elderly Poles who put their lives in danger decades ago to save others.

The Jewish Foundation for the Righteous pays monthly stipends to the rescuers in Eastern Europe, who are now in their 80s and 90s and living on small pensions.

The event Sunday, a luncheon, is an additional gesture of gratitude, something the foundation has done for years in Warsaw — the only place in Eastern Europe where there is a large enough number of rescuers to bring together.

All of the rescuers have been recognised as Righteous Among the Nations by Yad Vashem, Israel’s Holocaust memorial.

NY Times Again Plays ‘Handmaid’ to Radical Feminist Fear-Mongering on Trump

New York Times publishing-industry reporter Alexandra Alter interviewed novelist Margaret Atwood about The Testaments, a sequel to The Handmaid’s Tale, which has been repurposed as a hit streaming show and a source of feminist memes and protests against the Trump administration. The Times can’t shake the fantasy that the United States has transformed into some dystopian society under President Trump: "Some elements have become even more aligned with current events, with the erosion of reproductive rights, separation of parents from their children at the border and the…

WATCH: Pro-Democracy Protesters Demand President Donald Trump ‘Liberate’ Hong Kong

Thousands of protesters took to the streets of Hong Kong on Sunday, according to Yahoo News, to deliver a message to the United States consulate: please help us "liberate" Hong Kong from the Chinese.
The American flag has appeared regularly as part of the massive demonstrations that have occupied Hong Kong’s streets since mid-June, and protesters have often suggested that an American-style democracy is what they want — in stark contrast to their Chinese-controlled government.
