Army Officer Runs While Carrying Names of the 58K Vietnam War Fallen

An Army Reserve Officer has a unique way of honoring the service members who died in the Vietnam War.

Whenever Lt. Col. Frederick Moss runs in military-oriented races, he carries with him a white binder containing each of the 58,000 names inscribed on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington, DC.

“It’s an act of remembrance. It’s an act of appreciation for them and what they’ve done,” Moss said.

He has carried the names while running in the Marine Corps Marathon, the Army Marathon, and the Navy Nautical. Due to security issues, some of the races will not allow participants to carry backpacks.

But that did not stop Moss from taking the names with him the entire ten miles through the nation’s capital during the recent Army Ten Miler.

Moss said he carries the binder because he also wants to honor his father and uncle’s service to their country.

“We have to continue to remember those who served. My father and his comrades’ names — they meant something. We can never forget their service to this nation,” Moss said.

However, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund tweeted Monday that there are still many names of service members missing from The Wall:

Moss decided to begin the tradition of carrying the binder when his father, who served as a Marine in Vietnam, passed away in 2012.

“He was a Marine’s Marine. He’s a man’s man. I learned a lot from him, and I owe a lot to him,” Moss said of his dad.

He also noted that binders are an essential part of life in the Army.

“I’m an Army officer guy, a stuff guy — we’ve got a binder for everything,” he told Fox News. “So I came up with this idea. How about I take the wall and print out the names and put it in a binder, and we’ll keep moving.”

He said when people who lost loved ones during the Vietnam War realize what he carries with him, they always give him a hug.

“Sometimes the book is a little cumbersome, but it doesn’t bother me. Because it’s 58,000-plus fallen comrades in that book. What I’m doing for this short period of time is nowhere near the price they had to pay for us,” Moss concluded.

Nurse Adopts Autistic Man Who Needed Heart Transplant: ‘He Had to Come Home with Me’

A nurse decided to do more than was required of her when she met a young man in need of a heart transplant in December of 2018.

Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nurse Lori Wood, who works at Piedmont Newnan Hospital in Newnan, Georgia, had only known 27-year-old Jonathan Pinkard for two days when she decided to legally adopt him.

Pinkard, who has high-functioning autism, said after he collapsed at work last year, doctors told him he had a heart disorder and would need a transplant.

However, he had no one to care for him in recovery since his grandmother passed away in 2012 and his mother lived in a rehab facility, so doctors removed him from the transplant list.

Just when the young man had resigned himself to dying alone in a homeless shelter, Wood stepped in to help.

“When you’re a nurse and you’re wanting to fix and help people, that can be very frustrating, if you know a patient needs something and, for whatever reason, they can’t have it or receive it,” she said.

The single mom decided to make him part of her own family so he could receive the transplant and also committed to helping him through recovery after the surgery.

“At some point, God places people in situations in your life and you have a choice to do something about it,” Wood said. “I guess for me, in this situation, there was no choice. It really wasn’t anything I struggled about — it had to happen. He had to come home with me.”

On October 4, the hospital gave Wood the President’s Award in recognition of her selfless act of love.

Piedmont Newnan Hospital wrote on its Facebook page:

The President’s Award is the culminating event of Piedmont’s Promise 360 employee recognition program that awards deserving employees who go above and beyond for patients, visitors or their co-workers. Nominees to the President’s Award include one Promise 360 Champion and two Spotlight winners who represent each Piedmont hospital and entity. The 2018-2019 winner is Lorinda (Lori) Wood, staff RN, PACU from Piedmont Newnan Hospital.

In August, Pinkard received his new heart and said he hopes to go back to his job as an office clerk by December.

In the meantime, Wood, whom Pinkard refers to as “Mama” or “Miss Lori,” has made sure he takes his medications and goes to the doctor for regular check-ups.

She is also helping him improve his credit rating by teaching him life skills that will allow him to live on his own in the future.

“Miss Lori has been awesome, and she’s very lovable to me — not only to me, but her sons as well,” the young man said. “They really treat me like family. I’m really thankful.”

The Cost of Decommissioning Wind Turbines is Huge

The Cost of Decommissioning Wind Turbines is Huge

In Minnesota, Xcel Energy estimates conservatively that it will cost $532,000 (in 2019 dollars) to decommission each of its wind turbines—a total cost of $71 million to decommission the 134 turbines in operation at its Noble facility. Decommissioning the Palmer’s Creek Wind facility in Chippewa County, Minnesota, is estimated to cost $7,385,822 for decommissioning the 18 wind turbines operating at that site, for a cost of $410,000 per turbine.

Restoration activities include the removal of all physical material and equipment related to the project to a depth of 48 inches. Most of the concrete foundations used to anchor the wind turbines, however, are as deep as 15 feet. The concrete bases are hard to fully remove, and the rotor blades contain glass and carbon fibers that give off dust and toxic gases. While most (90 percent) of a turbine can be recycled or be sold to a wind farm in Asia or Africa, researchers estimate the United States will have more than 720,000 tons of blade material to dispose of over the next 20 years, a figure that does not include newer, taller higher-capacity wind turbines.

‘WE’RE TALKING TRILLIONS’: SNL Mocks Warren’s $52 Trillion ‘Medicare-For-All’ Plan

“Saturday Night Live” makes no bones about its political leanings. The late-night show hates President Trump and loves leftists.

So it was a bit odd this past Saturday when the show took aim at one of its own: Sen. Elizabeth Warren.

The Massachusetts Democrat has eclipsed her fellow candidates running for the 2020 presidential nomination and now finds herself atop several key polls, ahead of former vice president Joe Biden and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders. She’s frequently targeted by Trump — who calls her “Pocahontas” for her fake claim to Native American ancestry — and now, even SNL is going after her.

In the cold open that kicks off the weekly show, Warren, played by Kate McKinnon, is seen at a campaign event.

“I am in my natural habitat – a public school on a weekend,” Warren says, pumping her fists and kicking her legs. “I just housed a Nature’s Valley bar in the hallway so I am jacked up and ready to pop off!”

She pays homage to Robert “Beto” O’Rourke, who dropped out of the race last week, but adds: “Let me know how my dust tastes.”

Then she takes questions from the audience. One woman, wearing a shirt that says “Kamala Harris For the People,” says: “I work for Kamala Harris’s campaign but I’m still undecided. I’d like to know, why did it take so long for you to release your plan to pay for Medicare-for-all?”

“Yeah yeah yeah, yup yup yup,” Waren says. “Thank you for bringing up health care. That is my Despacito.”

“It’s a tricky little corn maze,” she says. “When Bernie was talking ‘Medicare-for-all’, everybody was like, ‘Oh cool,’ and then they turned to me and said, ‘Fix it, Mom.’”

Another member of the audience asks how her plan compares to Biden’s. “My plan compares favorably in that it exists. Nobody asks Biden how to pay for stuff because his plans are so vague. No one asks how we’re going to pay for ‘Remember Obama,’ ” she said, referring to Biden’s frequent campaign refrain.

Warren then reveals a board that includes ways to pay for her plan, including taxing that “Amazon Creep,” Jeff Bezos.

The first woman asks another question “because I’m annoying.”

“You said your plan would cost $20.5 trillion, but other economists have said it could cost $34 trillion,” she says.

“Right right right,” Warren says. “Let me stop you right there. We’re talking trillions. You know, when the numbers are this big they’re just pretend. There ain’t no Scrooge McDuck vault.”

“I’m gonna’ need to see the math on this,” says the woman. Warren turns the board around to reveal a maze of numbers.

“Do you understand this? I do. I could explain it to you but you’d die. Next question.”

For the record, Warren said Friday that her Medicare-for-all plan would cost “just under $52 trillion” over a decade.

No one would have “to pay for premiums or copays or any of the other ways health insurance companies stick you with the bill,” her campaign said on a website. “What’s more, Elizabeth’s plan for Medicare for All doesn’t raise middle-class taxes by one penny.”

Warren wrote on Twitter: “Here’s the headline: My plan won’t raise taxes one penny on middle-class families. In fact, we’ll return about $11 TRILLION to the American people. That’s bigger than the biggest tax cut in our history. Here’s how.”

CNN Desperately Defends Terrorist Leader’s Reputation as a Tough Guy

A week after ISIS founder and leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was eliminated in a raid by U.S. Special Forces at the order of President Trump, the liberal media were still desperately trying to discredit the President’s claim that the terrorist fled down a dead-end tunnel in fear while “crying” and “whimpering.” They were so reluctant to give Trump a W that CNN was defending al-Baghdadi’s reputation from Trump’s description.

Here’s Why Corrupt FBI Actors Strzok and Page Referred to Schiff’s Suspected ‘Whistleblower’ Eric Ciaramella as ‘Charlie’

We reported a couple of days ago that it is suspected that Lying Adam Schiff’s ‘whistleblower’ was Eric Ciaramella.  We now have some additional evidence on why Ciaramella was referred to as ‘Charlie’ in Strzok and Page texts.

As we reported, Dan Bongino put this all together in one of his podcasts –

(At about the 10 minute mark Bongino unveils this entire twisted plot.)

In April of this year, Senators Grassley and Johnson sent a letter to Attorney General Barr asking him for any information on the following (or perhaps this was their way of encouraging him to look into something). What they specifically asked about was related to some text messages from corrupt FBI Agents Peter Strzok and Lisa Page referring to a “CI guy” in the White House –

Next Grassley and Johnson provide the exact text messages they wanted Barr to look into. The text from Peter Strzok says “Do we want Joe to go with Evania instead of Charlie for a variety of reasons?” –

A footnote at the bottom of the Grassley and Johnson memo says “At this time it is unknown who “Charlie” is”.

On the beginning of the next page of their memo Grassley and Johnson share some more texts from Strzok and Page referring to “the CI guy” again in the White House –

Grassley and Johnson ask Barr some shocking questions (highlighted below) –

The nature of these communications , and the precise purpose of any attempts to “develop relationships” with Trump or Pence transition team staff are not immediately clear. Were these efforts done to gain better communication between the respective parties, or were the briefings used as intelligence gathering operation? Further, did any such surveillance activities continue beyond the inauguration, and in the event they did, were those activities subject to proper predication? Any improper FBI surveillance activities that were conducted before or after the 2016 election must be brought to light and properly addressed.

Strzok and Page in their texts were likely referring to fired FBI Director Andy McCabe and Bill Priestap per footnotes on that page. The reference to the “CI guy” is unclear.

On Wednesday Paul Sperry announced at RealClearInvestigations.com in a post that the so-called ‘whistleblower’ in Lying Adam Schiff’s fake impeachment sham is none other than Eric Ciaramella. This is old news to us at TGP as well as Bongino and others on the web. (We first reported on Ciaramella on October 11th.)

But in Sperry’s post, he notes the exact pronunciation for Ciaramella’s name – (pronounced char-a-MEL-ah) –

Bongino suspects that Sperry is trying to hint at something as the pronunciation of a name is not usually included in posts like Sperry’s. What Bongino suggests is that there is a connection between Sperry’s article and the Grassley and Johnson letter – Char-a-MEL-ah is the same ‘Charlie’ in the Strzok and Page communications.

Today we have more evidence why Eric Ciaramella was referred to as ‘Charlie’ by the Deep State and not ‘Eric’.  The answer is simple.

In various text messages between Strzok and Page they refer to a couple of individuals as ‘Eric’.  In one series of texts they refer to Eric Smith, a friend of Lisa Page’s and get the individual named ‘Eric’ confused with someone else named ‘Eric’ like perhaps Eric Holder –

They mention Eric many times in their texts –

Again, numerous messages referring to Eric –

The reason they didn’t refer to Eric Ciaramella as Eric is because they already were having a hard time keeping track of which Eric they were talking about.  The simplified their lives by referring to Eric Ciaramella as ‘Charlie’ instead of Eric.  Also, Ciaramella’s last name sounds like Charlie.

The suspected whistleblower, Eric Ciaramella, worked with the Obama Administration in the Ukraine, spied on President Trump in the White House for Obama’s CIA and FBI and was apparently doing all he could to sabotage the Trump White House while he was there.

It’s against the law for the CIA to spy on our President. I thought the CIA was not allowed to spy in the US period.

Creepy and corrupt Adam Schiff used the whistleblower’s memo to start his corrupt and criminal impeachment sham investigation taking place in the House. It sure looks like Eric Ciaramella is no hero, he is more likely a traitor and a crook. Hang him high!

Elizabeth Warren’s Absurd Claim Medicare For All Won’t Raise Taxes On Anyone But Billionaires

This week, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) released her plan to fund Medicare for All, insisting her plan wouldn’t raise taxes on middle-class Americans.

On Saturday, CBS reporter Zak Hudak asked Warren what income bracket she used to define the “middle class.” Warren’s initial response made no sense, as she claimed: “Here’ it’s 100%.”

“It doesn’t raise taxes on anybody but billionaires, and, you know what, the billionaires can afford it and I don’t call them middle class.”

Hudak followed up his question by asking, “So, anyone under $1 billion net worth…”

“That’s right – is not paying a penny more,” Warren interjected. “That’s exactly right.”

Hudak’s tweet thread on the issue mentioned Warren’s communication director, Kristen Orthman saying that Warren “was referencing the wealth tax, which is only on billionaires.” Hudak added that Orthman “acknowledges the capital gains tax would affect non-billionaires, but only the top 1%.”

Wall Street Journal reporter Josh Jamerson tried to get Warren to clarify by asking: “Is there a salary or income that you would define as middle class when you say ‘No middle class taxes?’”

Warren replied: “Sure. For Medicare for All, it’s a billion dollars.”

“I mean, everyone understands this,” Warren lectured Jamerson. “This is no increase in taxes for anyone except billionaires. Period. Done. This is about access to health care for everyone. This is about taking that $11 trillion that families will be reaching in their pockets to pay over the next 10 years and bringing it down to zero and funding it by increasing taxes on billionaires and giant corporations. That’s the whole thing – and the other pieces all just stay where they are. The federal government keeps contributing, state governments keep contributing and employers keep contributing as they’re doing right now. It builds on what we’ve already put into Obamacare. And just says ‘but we can do better for American families.’”

Warren is going to have to clarify a lot in what she said. For starters, she conflated having a billion-dollar net worth with having a salary or income of $1 billion. Net worth and salary are different. Billionaires in this country don’t make a billion dollars a year.

For example, Mark Zuckerberg’s net worth is more than $70 billion, but his annual salary from Facebook is $1. His base salary in 2013 was $500,000, according to Verdict. Zuckerberg’s salary is in line with some other tech CEOs, including Alphabet’s Larry Page and Twitter’s Jack Dorsey. As Verdict reported, the CEO with the highest salary was Apple’s Tim Cook, at $3 million. The CEO who earned the most in 2017, Snap Inc’s Evan Spiegel, earned $637.7 million – still under the billion-dollar threshold set by Warren.

Salary.com says Zuckerberg earned nothing from stock and options or bonuses, but earned $22.5 million in “other” income. That income is related to personal security and travel costs incurred in 2018, reported CNN. Yes, that seems high, but we also just can’t understand the level of security someone like Zuckerberg requires.

Clearly, she must be referring to net worth. It should be noted that “millionaires” have seemingly disappeared from the tax-hike promises after Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) became one due to book sales.

Even with the net worth/salary issue aside, Warren’s claim that taxes wouldn’t be raised on anyone but billionaires is impossible.

Rival candidate Joe Biden’s campaign pointed this out in a statement saying Warren’s plan “would create a new tax on employers of almost $9 trillion that would come out of workers’ pockets, a new financial transaction tax that would impact investments held by middle class Americans, and a new capital gains tax that would affect far more people than she stated tonight.”

As a final note, Warren’s claim that contributions from state governments isn’t accurate. A New York Times description of her plan includes a claim that “States and local governments would be required to make payments to the federal government, similar to what they currently spend on government employee benefits and their share of Medicaid expenses.” She claimed this would raise $6.1 trillion. This proposal is likely not even constitutional, yet it is indicative of the mental gymnastics Warren and her campaign must perform in order to claim that her single-payer health care plan won’t be an economic disaster for the middle class.
