Survey: 1 in 5 Left-Leaning Bosses ‘Will Not Hire’ Trump Supporters

A survey finds one in five left-leaning bosses “will not hire” job candidates who are supporters of President Donald Trump.

In addition, significant majorities of bosses want to know prospective employees’ views on racial equality, gender equality, LGBTQ rights, and immigration.

Results of the survey, conducted by Airtasker, were obtained by Paul Bedard at the Washington Examiner and were based on a survey of 204 people whose job description includes hiring and 805 employees.

Airtasker noted employers typically review job candidates’ social media accounts to glean information about their political views prior to interviews.

“Workplace discrimination is a real and pressing issue, and candidates get their applications sidelined or overlooked due to these factors all the time,” Airtasker observed, according to the Examiner. “And even when they do make it past the hiring filter, employees can also be the victims of prejudice and biased behavior when interacting with their bosses and colleagues.”

Asked if they would hire a job candidate who expresses views that are supportive of the president, 20 percent of left-leaning bosses responded, “No,” while 24 percent responded, “Yes,” and 56 percent said, “It doesn’t matter who they support.”

Among right-leaning bosses, 9 percent said they would not hire a candidate who expressed views supportive of Trump, while 57 percent responded, “Yes,” and 35 percent said the candidate’s views on Trump did not matter:

According to the survey results, significant consequences may exist in the workplace for employees who speak positively about Trump.

Regarding behaviors witnessed by fellow employees toward Trump supporters, 28 percent of coworkers said they have seen Trump supporters serving as the target of jokes; 23 percent said bosses were “overly critical” of the president’s supporters; 23 percent said others made assumptions about the character of Trump supporters; 21 percent said others were “dismissive” of Trump supporters; 14 percent said they witnessed the president’s supporters being the victims of gossip or rumors; 13 percent said Trump supporters were excluded from social situations; and 11 percent said they witnessed Trump supporters being victims of “name-calling.”

Behind the actual assessment of a job candidate’s skills, 65 percent of those with hiring responsibilities said it is “important to know a job candidate’s stance” on racial equity; 59 percent said the candidate’s views on gender equality is important, while 54 percent said his or her views on LGBTQ rights is important.

Regarding immigration and politics in general, 38 percent and 32 percent of bosses, respectively, said it is important to know the candidate’s positions on these issues.

Among the bosses surveyed, 29 percent would not hire a candidate based on his or her views on racial equality; 27 percent would not hire over a position on gender equality; 22 percent would not hire someone over views on LGBTQ rights; 18 percent would not hire based upon politics in general; and 16 percent would not hire a candidate over views on immigration.

The Two Possible Paths that Pelosi Is Likely to Take In The Schiff Sham Impeachment of President Trump

Based on the public response to the Schiff Sham impeachment of President Trump and the ramifications of going forward, there are two potential scenarios that Speaker Pelosi is most likely to take.

Scenario One – Pelosi and the Democrats vote on impeachment this Thursday or Friday and ram it through before the FISA report comes out on Monday.

To hell with the constitution, orange man bad, full speed ahead.  In this scenario the Democrat led House caves to its radical Trump hating base.  The time is short to get this done becouse the FISA report is going to be damning.  They know it.

This is why they have worked so hard to remove Trump.  Not only is he destroying the progressive socialist movement, he is proving that the movement is the absolute wrong direction for America.  He not only doesn’t care what they think, he let’s them know it.  He is brash and they have never ever in their life times had a Republican stand up to their abusive America hating tactics.  He also absolutely destroys their progressive movement by explaining why they are wrong and then taking his positions into action and proving they are wrong.

America has never been stronger economically.  The markets are at all time highs.  More people are working than ever before.  The nation’s GDP stands at around $23 trillion, the highest ever recorded for a country in history and unemployment is at 50 year lows.  Never has the economy done better.

With nothing on schedule for Thursday and Friday, the Democrats ram through their impeachment and head home for the holidays.  They know they can’t release the date of any impeachment vote, so they will vote before anyone knows what’s happening.  No riots, no protests, a quick vote and out of town for the holidays.

Scenario Two – Pelosi delays the impeachment vote till next year and then milks it for as long as she can and then at the last minute decides not to impeach but will let the voters decide.

We wrote previously about the reasons that the impeachment vote would be the end of the Democrat Party –

1. The first reason is simple.  The Democrats have no case.  President Trump did nothing wrong.  Their efforts to tie him to a crime didn’t work.  President Trump is innocent and they know it.

2. The Democrats have no idea what will be uncovered or what will be presented in a Senate hearing and they have no control over the Republicans who are in charge of the Senate.

3. The IG’s FISA report is coming out next Monday and it will be damning.

Americans already don’t trust DC and politicians.  Soon the Democrats will be synonymous with the swamp in the mainstream.  Former Reagan Attorney General Ed Meese believes that the FISA scandal is Obama’s Watergate

Former Attorney General Ed Meese, who served under President Ronald Reagan, compared spying on the Trump campaign to the Watergate scandal in an exclusive interview with the Daily Caller.

Meese previewed the impending IG report on FISA abuse, which is expected to drop on Dec. 9. The report is expected to reach a conclusion as to whether intelligence agencies followed the correct processes when obtaining warrants to spy on members of the Trump campaign during the 2016 election. Meese debunked the idea that the IG report’s findings should be dismissed because the investigation occurred during the Trump administration, explaining that the IG’s investigations are independent.

Have the Democrats seriously considered how it is going to look when they are attempting to prosecute President Trump on a bogus, at best, ‘crime’ when the Obama appointed IG of the DOJ releases the FISA report showing much corruption and potential crimes related to the Obama gang before and after the 2016 election?

4. US Attorney Durham has a criminal investigation ongoing now that will indict Democrats and their Deep State gang, if any indictments come forth, and they should.

5. One last point that is bad for Pelosi is having a vote and having it bipartisan but against the impeachment.  If the vote is taken and the Democrats in the closely contested seats vote against it, it will be proof that the entire thing is what it is – a sham.

Because of this, Pelosi may delay the impeachment hearing into next year.  She will continue to harass and abuse the President.  The days will go by just like the corrupt Mueller sham and eventually Pelosi will declare that it is too late to impeach, and she will say that she prayed about it and it is best for the country to wait till after the election.

This alternative allows Pelosi to save face with the extremists in her party while not having a vote that would be devastating to her party.

In Summary

The House Democrats may impeach Trump but they might not as well.

The risk if all goes poorly for the Democrats is very high.  If the President is wrongfully impeached, and criminal actions by Schiff, the whistleblowers, the Bidens, Kerry and Obama are uncovered in Senate hearings, and the FISA report is totally damaging and Durham starts arresting Democrats and the Deep State for their criminal acts, Americans will be outraged.  This scenario could realistically be the end of the Democrat Party – something that some believe is long overdue.

Either way, it is likely that President Trump will not be removed from office and will win the 2020 election.

WATCH — Delingpole: The UN’s COP25 Madrid Climate Conference Is a Sick Joke

MADRID, Spain — I’m in Madrid for the latest UN Climate Conference – COP25 – and literally no one cares.

When I say that literally no one cares I mean none of the real, normal people — whether natives or tourists — just wanting to go about their daily lives in this handsome capital city, have a few glasses of vino with their tapas, check out the Prado, make ends meet, look at the Christmas lights, not even think about global warming because hey it’s December and its chilly even in Spain.

What I definitely don’t mean is the 30,000 or so loons who have flown in for the freak show about a thirty buck cab away in an industrial exposition zone on the edge of town. Clearly they care a lot but they’re not normal and they have no connection with the real world other than the unfortunate fact that they currently seem to make all our rules.

That’s what’s really scary about these COP climate conferences, which perfectly encapsulate the increasing gulf between the globalist elite rulemakers and the ordinary people — you and me — who have to suffer from their stupid, anti-democratic decisions. The liberal elite in their hermetically sealed conference zone; the underclass — which is everyone else — in the city.

They arrived by plane – even private jet – but they tell us we should no longer fly unless it’s really necessary.

They’re ferried around in fleets of black limousines but cars, as they keep telling us, are unsustainable.

This is the “do as I say, not do as I do” class. And if you want to an idea of how utterly useless and contemptible they are, here’s an excerpt from the speech Nancy Pelosi gave to the delegates when she flew in to pretend that the Democrats are running the U.S. and that their presence at a UN Climate Conference therefore matters:

Her speech, which you can see on Reuters TV, if you have the stomach for it, included these immortal lines:

‘This is a mission, this is a passion, this is a scientifically based approach to all of it in – *clears throat* – and we’re here to say to all of you on behalf of the House of Representatives in the Congress of of the US we’re still in it.’

She flew 3,000 miles to say that? Really.

Meanwhile, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has, like some tired old fluffer on a dilapidated porn movie set, tried desperately to stir some excitement with a bit of inspirational scaremongering.

We are jeopardising life itself, no less. [FACT CHECK. The number of people in the real world who have so far died of ‘climate change’ is, no, wait for it…zero. Extreme weather events kill people but not the natural ebb and flow of climate and there is no evidence that these extreme weather events are increasing in our era]

Problem is, they say this every UN conference. It’s always the last chance to save the world. We’re always on the very edge of the tipping point. None of these people, clearly, has ever heard of the story of Chicken Little (or Chicken Licken as we call him in England).

But the global climate elite aren’t merely useless, they are also deeply ignorant. As exhibit A, I present an interview from a month back in which would-be presidential candidate and tireless environmental campaigner Mike Bloomberg is quizzed about one of the key awkward facts about climate change: that no matter how much the West chooses to cut its carbon dioxide emissions, China (and others, but most especially China) is going full speed ahead with its industrial development. As I reported a week ago in a piece titled ‘Greta Who?’ China now has as many new coal fired power plants in development as the ENTIRE capacity of the European Union.

So here is Mike Bloomberg addressing this key issue.

Remember, this is the same Mike Bloomberg who is spending part of his $500 million campaign budget promising to eradicate the U.S. coal industry; whose $50 billion fortune and media empire he deploys tirelessly to tell us how series the climate emergency is and how important it is that we should act.

But not if you’re China, apparently. China, in Bloomberg’s view — and he’s not unrepresentative of the liberal elite — is an exception because Xi Jinping (who is not a dictator, by the way) is just trying to keep his economy going. Oh, and though he’s building lots more coal-fired power stations he’s trying to build them away from the cities.

Mike, love: whether you build a coal-fired power station in the middle of the Gobi desert or the middle of Beijing, the CO2 emissions are EXACTLY the same. Bloomberg hasn’t thought this through because for him, as for the global elite generally, climate change is just a mantra used to advance financial and socio-political interests. Who cares if Bloomberg doesn’t know the difference between carbon-dioxide (the plant food which is greening the planet) and actual pollution? Nor does almost anyone in the global elite.

The people pushing this agenda should be given no sympathy. They are not merely ignorant and greedily self-interested but also morally bankrupt.

Exposed here, for example, is the grotesque hypocrisy of Unicef – the United Nations’ children’s charity.

Thanks to climate alarmists’ scaremongering, trillions of dollars are being diverted from solving real problems to bloviating about entirely hypothetical ones – which still exist only on the dodgy computer model projections of increasingly discredited climate ‘scientists’.

Now all the circus needs to complete its extravaganza of waste, junk science, demands for money (especially from the developing world) and shrill calls for more action is the presence of Coco the Clown.

Coco — St Greta; Greta the Climate Puppet, as she’s also known — has landed in Lisbon after her transatlantic crossing in a diesel-powered yacht. (A yacht skipper had to be flown out specially, so all the ‘carbon’ that Greta had hoped to save was spent on the skipper’s flight).

She is expected in Madrid later today when she will no doubt liven up the proceedings immensely with her trademark wit, frequent smiles and lively sense of humour.

When, oh, when will this nonsense end? Not before the arrival of the next Ice Age, I’m guessing.

California Farmer Fights Government Claim That Dirt Is a Pollutant

No one told Jack LaPant that he could be in violation of the Clean Water Act for farming his own land.

That’s mostly because the federal law includes a clear exemption for “normal” farming activities. But it’s also because the government officials LaPant consulted didn’t view overturned dirt that has been tilled and plowed as pollution.

In 2016, the Army Corps of Engineers, which administers the Clean Water Act with the Environmental Protection Agency, began legal action against LaPant for plowing he did in 2011 to plant wheat on a ranch property he owned in Northern California.

But in March 2012, LaPant had sold the property, located in Tehama County about 4 miles south of the city of Red Bluff.

Before plowing his field to plant wheat, LaPant conferred in person with the Farm Service Agency in California, which is part of the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

“All of these government officials I spoke with, and they have all been deposed, they never once suggested that I should go meet with the Army Corps of Engineers,” LaPant said in a phone interview with The Daily Signal.

“I asked them if it was OK to take this piece of land and grow wheat and they all said it was OK,” he recalled. “Even today, you can go into these offices and they will not tell a farmer that he needs to go and see the Army Corps to farm on his own land. It makes no sense and the Department of Agriculture doesn’t understand any of it, and we are talking about the same federal government.”

LaPant recalls visiting “four different government folks” with expertise in soil conservation when he was researching the history of the farm.

“They all gave me the same answer,” LaPant said. “They told me, ‘Jack, if you’d like to go ahead and plant it the same way it’s been planted in the past, go ahead. But if you want to go in and plant a permanent crop, then maybe we’ll go back and study it.’ So, I went ahead and planted 900 acres of wheat.”

The legal complications for LaPant began after he sold the property to Duarte Nursery, a family-owned nursery operation based in Tehama County, California, which then encountered similar problems with the Army Corps of Engineers.

Duarte Nursery entered into a settlement agreement with the federal government after suing the Army Corps of Engineers for denying due process. Pacific Legal Foundation, a nonprofit, public interest law firm based in Sacramento, California, and Washington, D.C., represented the nursery in the case and now represents LaPant.

Tony Francois, a lawyer with Pacific Legal Foundation who specializes in property rights, told The Daily Signal that the orchard-planting operations of another company, Goose Pond Ag, may be what led to the prosecution of LaPant.

Goose Pond Ag, a Florida-based farmland management company, purchased a portion of the California property from Duarte Nursery in 2012. Six years later, in 2018, the company reached a settlement with the U.S. Justice Department in which it agreed to pay $5.3 million in civil penalties for Clean Water Act violations, according to media reports.

“It’s the orchard planting and the preparations for the orchard planting, which involves fairly substantial earthwork, that really got the Army’s attention and got this whole enforcement action going,” Francois said. “What’s odd about it is that they roped LaPant into it, and we think the Army may have initially thought LaPant was part of this plan to plant the orchard.”

This month, Pacific Legal Foundation plans to submit a motion for summary judgment to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California that could resolve some or all of LaPant’s case based on “application of the law to the undisputed facts in the case,” Francois said.

If the case is not resolved,  it could move to a jury trial sometime in 2020.

The Daily Signal sought comment from the Army Corps of Engineers and the Environmental Protection Agency. Neither agency had responded by publication time.

What’s particularly alarming to LaPant and other farmers familiar with his case is that in their view the Corps saw fit to modify the Clean Water Act without congressional approval, Francois said.

“There’s a pretty broad, clear statement in the Clean Water Act that you don’t need a permit for normal farming activities,” Francois said, adding:

This would include normal ranching, farming, forestry activities. But the Army has added multiple conditions that you have to meet for these protections [for such operations] to continue.

One of these conditions is that the property has to be tilled pretty regularly for this protection to continue. But there are many reasons why a farmer may suspend tilling. For example, cattle may have a higher price than wheat or corn, and so the land might be used for grazing for a period of time.

The Army has definitely added hurdles and obstacles to a pretty clear and simple statement of the Clean Water Act that you don’t need a permit for normal farming activities. In our view, what they’ve done is to change the policy decision Congress made.

The Left’s Revealing Hatred of the Salvation Army

We all know some individuals who are so obviously good and kind that we are certain if anyone were to dislike them, that’s all we would need to know about the person. We would immediately assume he or she is a bad person. To hate the manifestly good is a sure sign of being bad.

Such is the case regarding the left’s hatred of the Salvation Army. You don’t have to be a Christian—I am not—to appreciate the goodness of the people who run and work for the Salvation Army. They devote their lives to helping the poorest, the saddest, the loneliest, and the most troubled among us—completely irrespective of race, gender, transgender identity, faith or no faith. And they do it for almost no money. They do it because of their Christian faith.

They provide these downtrodden people with not only food and shelter but also human warmth and love. And they offer the people they care for the one thing most likely to get them out of their predicament: meaning. They offer it; they do not coerce it. And while the vehicle for this meaning—Christian faith—may not be your faith or mine, so what?

It takes a truly narrow-minded bigot to want to deprive people of meaning just because that meaning is rooted in faith or in a faith other than their own.

Yet, leftists—most especially LGBTQ groups, which spread a remarkable amount of hate in the name of “love”—seek to crush The Salvation Army. They threaten and pressure whoever supports the Salvation Army.

“British pop singer Ellie Goulding,” The Wall Street Journal recently reported, “threatened to cancel an appearance at the Dallas Cowboys’ Thanksgiving halftime show, which will celebrate the army’s red-kettle campaign, unless it made a ‘pledge or donation to the LGBTQ community.’ She backed down after the Salvation Army assured her it serves needy members of that community.”

Most depressing of all, Chick-fil-A, a business owned by a Christian and heretofore run according to Christian principles, caved in to LGBTQ organizations’ pressure and stopped funding the Salvation Army, while it has also donated to a left-wing group that hates the good, the Southern Poverty Law Center.

I never thought I’d see the day when the Salvation Army would be hated by a substantial number of Americans or lose the support of a Christian-run business.

But given the left’s loathing of virtually all things good—such as America, Israel, traditional Christianity and Judaism, the Boy Scouts, the nuclear family ideal, Thanksgiving, and America’s Founders—it is not surprising.

As I have said for years, the left destroys everything it touches: music, art, Christianity, Judaism, economies, universities, high schools, late-night comedy, pro football, women’s likelihood of finding happiness, men’s likelihood of maturing, the Boy Scouts, and the innocence of children (think “Drag Queen Story Hour” for 5-year-olds at libraries), to cite some of the more obvious examples.

And while it destroys good institutions, the left never builds a viable replacement. Is there a left-wing equivalent to the Boy Scouts, a left-wing institution that helps mold boys into responsible men? Of course not. The left destroys, but it builds nothing—except state power. Or, to take the present example, is there a left-wing equivalent to the Salvation Army? No, there isn’t.

“We believe we are the largest provider of poverty relief to the LGBTQ+ population,” the Salvation Army said in a statement after Chick-fil-A announced its decision. As The Wall Street Journal concluded, “Considering it serves nearly 25 million people every year, that’s likely true.”

But all the good the Salvation Army does means nothing to the left. The left judges people or institutions not by their behavior but by their beliefs. And the Salvation Army believes—as has every civilization in recorded history, and as former President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton did until a few years ago—that marriage should be defined as the union of a man and a woman. To the left, that belief outweighs helping 25 million people, including married gays.

One of the great puzzles in contemporary American life is whether there is anything the left could do to make Americans understand how destructive it is. If suppressing free speech at colleges and on the internet, fomenting interracial anger, supporting those who wish to annihilate Israel, allowing (and even encouraging) teenage girls to have their healthy breasts surgically removed if they think they are a boy, and trying to crush the Salvation Army don’t do it, probably nothing will.

Is someone gonna ask the Clintons about all those trips to Epstein’s ‘cowboy village’?

The press is piling on against U.K.’s Prince Andrew, who’s been probably credibly accused of participating in ‘suicide’ pervert Jeffrey Epstein’s sex-with-little-girls operations.

Yes, it’s wretched and appalling. It’s bad for a royal family that for decades has portrayed itself as the embodiment of middle class values. This is Shaka Zulu or Genghis Khan territory.

But it’s also of limited interest given that Prince Andrew is not even important in the royal succession lineup, and frankly who cares what some rich overseas princeling is up to? The media sure didn’t, up until now.

There’s likely a reason for it — to deflect attention from the growing evidence that Bill, Hillary, and even Chelsea Clinton have had a pretty spectacularly intense association with the very same pervert.

The Daily Mail has been on the job and has found another credible witness, a former contractor of Epstein’s at his New Mexico “cowboy village” ranch who says the Clintons jetted in annually on Epstein’s Lolita Express and had a grand old time on Epstein’s many-camera’d grounds. Some opening points from the Mail:

  • Bill and Hillary Clinton would stay at Jeffrey Epstein’s New Mexico ranch frequently after they left the White House, former estate workers told DailyMailTV
  • The former president was Epstein’s closest ‘celebrity mate’ and the Clintons visited Zorro Ranch ‘a whole bunch of times’, a former contractor who ran the IT system at the property said
  • The family never stayed in the main house but bunked down in a special cowboy-themed village created by Epstein, which lies a mile south of his own villa, sources said
  • The guest homes are next to other traditional Wild West-style buildings such as an old schoolhouse and saloon bar, which are all near Epstein’s private airstrip, where he arrived on his private planes

And to read the details of the report is enough to give the grossouts to anyone. Why were the Clintons going to a place Epstein called his “baby-making ranch”? What was that about Epstein having an eight-person ”party shower”? Did the Clintons do the “party shower”? Was it on film? How many times? And who else was in the pen with them? What about that party room with the stripper poles? Did the Clintons go there, too? What was the Secret Service thinking, or did Bill bug out again on his Secret Service and why are taxpayers paying for this farce?

Why again did Epstein have that icky portrait of Bill Clinton wearing a blue dress on his Manhattan mansion wall?

As one of the contractors who witnessed this, Jared Kellogg told the Mail:

‘My contact was Brice, their main concern was that there was no video surveillance on the property at all. I thought this was a simple request, as they wanted surveillance to protect their investment. It’s a huge site.

‘But what was weird was that the whole time I was on site, Brice would be bragging about how the Clintons would visit, the whole family. Not just Bill, but Bill, his wife, their kid, and they would stay on the ranch itself.

More ickiness about Epstein’s obsession with cameras:

Instead of using an expensive, robust camera system, which used underground cables, he wanted a ‘point-to-point wireless fluid mesh design’, which means cameras are operating via antenna, and is considerably cheaper.

After Kellogg did an estimate and sent in a plan, he never heard back.

He said: ‘They had this huge facility, but it felt like they didn’t have the money to do anything. They were trying to find the most cost-effective way to transmit video footage and we had to come up with a point-to-point wireless fluid mesh design because normally we want to trench everything. It saves money as you don’t have to build a trench and put in a cable.

Sound like someone who’s been blackmailed? You decide.

Now arguably, one could argue that the press is saying nothing about this given that the contractor was a different kind of witness than Virginia Giuffre, the credible young woman who says Epstein trafficked her with Prince Andrew when she was a teenager.

But the Mail slips in something that hasn’t appeared significantly in the press at all – that Giuffre also says she saw Bill Clinton at Epstein’s pervert haunts being honored by the pedophile himself.

Why isn’t the media covering that? Now we have the Clintons pinned at two places – the “cowboy ranch” and the Caribbean pervert island and no one’s saying anything, it’s all about Prince Andrew.

Yet Eptein was obsessed with cameras and obviously blackmail. He roped in Prince Andrew. But the real question is to what extent he got the Clintons. With all these new revelations rolling out, why is the press silent?

Why Your Sons Refuse to Read

A few years back, my friend Mike McMullen and I were driving to Oklahoma for a seriously incorrect weekend of eating, drinking, and shooting, when Mike posed a question. He asked if I had time to take a look at a novel he was working on.

An engineer by profession and an outdoorsman by inclination, Mike did not strike me as a would-be novelist.

“What’s it about?” I asked. “We’ve got another hour so. We can just talk it through.”

“Well,” said Mike shyly, “it’s about this concealed-carry expert. One night he’s out walking his dog, and he runs into a . . . uh . . . uh . . . he runs into a . . . Martian.”

“A Martian!” I laughed. “Stop right there. Don’t send me your book. In fact, don’t tell me another word. Start the novel over.”

“What should my guy run into then?” Mike asked defensively.

“How about a Muslim terrorist,” I suggested. And so was born The Hunt, a political thriller from Permuted Press available December 10 wherever you buy books. Or, for a collector’s item signed by both Mike and me, check out TheHuntBook.com.

What prompted me to embark on a novel was the research I had recently been doing on the increasing failure of young males in academic settings. I cite Kansas as an example here only because the Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) does a good job of testing its students and making test results available.

Last year, in the best performing public high school in Kansas, 45 percent of the school’s tenth graders tested not proficient in the English Language Arts. In the worst performing school, an incredible 97 percent of the tenth graders tested not proficient. In the average suburban high school, inevitably considered “excellent” by town boosters, 60 to 80 percent of the students failed to reach the low bar of proficiency in language arts.

The KSDE does not break the scores out by gender, but if it did, the boys would be the ones pulling the numbers down. They pull the language numbers down wherever tested.

High school failures lead to underperformance in college. In 2018, for instance, females earned nearly 59 percent of all the academic degrees awarded in the United States. The Department of Education expects the trend to continue. By 2027 women are projected earn 151 college degrees for every 100 degrees earned by men.

One major reason for male failure is the effete dreck boys are assigned to read in schools. A recommended high school reading list from the library in Montgomery County, Maryland, an affluent Washington suburb, speaks to the problem everywhere. Some samples:

In Will Grayson, Will Grayson, two teens with the same name, one gay and one straight, accidentally meet. Hilarity ensues.

In The Wee Free Men. A young witch meets up with six-inch-high blue men and the Queen of Fairyland.  The author, a self-described British “humanist,” is an associate of the “National Secular Society,” an organization “explicitly created for those who reject the supernatural.”

Struts & Frets is the first book by Jon Skovron. His second book, Misfit, is described by Kirkus as “a diabolically delightful paranormal about a teen girl discovering her inner strength and power — and her potential for darkness.”

Nine of the twelve books on the Montgomery County list were written by women. Eight of them have female protagonists. None of the three books written by male authors offers boys anything like guidance on how to become men, and all three serve up something to offend any kid who takes his faith seriously. It is no wonder that girls today are an incredible ten times more likely to read a book on their own than boys.

It doesn’t have to be like this. When I enrolled in high school, I was assigned a reading list for the summer before class began. I still remember many of the books I was assigned— Call of the Wild, Annapurna, Kon-Tiki, Red Badge of Courage, Mutiny on the Bounty, Men Against the Sea, Huckleberry Finn.

Not only did the books hold our attention, but they also instructed us boys in the virtues needed to become men. We saw examples of courage, of resourcefulness, of perseverance, of teamwork. True, I had the advantage of attending an all-boys high school, but even in co-ed schools there is no good reason to shield boys from reading books they might actually profit from reading.

One reason I rejected the man vs. Martian scenario is because kids today are saturated with fantasy scenarios. Another, of course, was the financial underperformance of Cowboys vs. Aliens, a movie whose very title condemned it to failure.

Good male fiction hinges on plausibility. For that reason I recruited Mike into the writing project. I may be an Eagle Scout, but Mike goes elk hunting in Colorado, where the novel is set. To work, male fiction has to be technically perfect. An author cannot Google his way to credibility.

Mike also has two sons, now both U.S. Marines. In the Hunt, we tell the story of a recently widowed father, a veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan, who takes his adolescent sons on an elk hunt only to discover they are the ones being hunted. The hunters are not Martians. They are Muslim terrorists in league with Mexican drug cartels. Political correctness, of the sort in which movies now abound, subverts real story telling.

We submitted the book for early review to people who knew their way around the wilderness. Said one retired U.S. Army colonel, “The Hunt is an all-to-plausible action-packed story of perseverance, fatherhood, duty, self-sacrifice and redemption. Real-life application of military skills learned the hard way. Mike and Jack have winner of a tale that keeps the pages turnin’!”

Virtue does not come naturally. It is learned. And a novel can still be a good place to learn it.

‘Huge deal’: Levin discusses news report raising questions about Adam Schiff and the alleged whistleblower

Tuesday night on the radio, LevinTV host Mark Levin discussed a news report that raises even more questions about the House of Representatives’ current impeachment efforts against President Donald Trump.

“The greatest threat we face today … is not from the Russians, although they are a grave threat … but from the Democrat Party and the media,” Levin began. “They have done more to undermine this president and try and thwart his ability to be commander in chief than any foreign power can.”

Levin read from a story published earlier that day at the Washington Examiner, which found that a former coworker of the alleged CIA whistleblower was hired to staff the House Intelligence Committee — chaired by Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif. — the day after the July phone call between President Donald Trump and his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky.

The story is a “big deal,” Levin explained, because it “shows you the conspiracy and the coordination that was taking place” in the lead-up to the Democrats’ impeachment probe.

“You can see why Schiff is protecting these individuals,” Levin added. “It could be that his staffer — I don’t know; I’d like to question him under oath — it could be that his staffer was one of the individuals feeding the so-called whistleblower.”

The host went on to say that though the story is a “huge deal,” it will “be ignored by the vast majority of television newsrooms, so-called.”

Levin said that when the matter goes to the Senate, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell “damn well better get to the bottom of this, or folks in Kentucky, throw his a** out.”

NYT Begs SCOTUS: Throw out Case Instead of Ruling Against Gun Control

The New York Times editorial board is asking the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) to toss out a challenge against New York City gun control rather than rule against the controls at the center of the challenge.

Breitbart News reported that SCOTUS was hearing a challenge to the NYC gun control on Monday, December 1, 2019. The gun control prohibited licensed firearm owners from transporting their firearms to all but seven city-approved gun ranges.

On December 2, 2019, the NYT editorial board begged SCOTUS to discard the case, pointing to the fact that NYC repealed their gun control when it became evident that SCOTUS would take the case. The editorial board contends “sanity and common sense” now compel the dismissal of the case altogether.

At the same time, they argue that the DC. v. Heller (2008) decision allowed room for municipal gun controls. They say, “Lower courts have read the Heller opinion as permitting all manner of gun-control measures, including bans on assault rifles and high-capacity magazines.”

The editorial board’s argument ignores the McDonald v. Chicago (2010) decision, which struck down a city-wide gun ban on the basis that Second Amendment rights are incorporated. Such incorporation prohibits city and state governments from infringing on gun rights just as it prohibits the federal government from infringing as well.

Teen Drama Preaches Tolerance for Gays, Sings About Slitting Wrists on ‘Your Holy Bible’

We all know the saying, “Do as I say, not as I do.” And when it comes to the left’s virtue signaling with “tolerance,” we also know well that their tolerance only extends to those who agree with their politics and policies. That couldn’t have been more clear on Monday night’s episode of The CW’s teen drama All American, which featured a song that preached tolerance for gays being “who they are” while subtly showing disdain for God and the Bible.
