It’s no wonder liberal heads exploded.
President Donald Trump’s turn as grand marshal of the Daytona 500 had plenty of Americans talking on Sunday – whether they were actually in Florida for the race or seeing it at home.
And in an interview with “Fox & Friends” on Monday, former Secret Service Agent and outspoken commentator Dan Bongino could barely restrain himself from laughing at the liberal reaction.
“You want to talk about liberal heads exploding, just look at this amalgamation of things in this pot,” Bongino said.
“You had patriotism. You had fast cars. You had American muscle. You had pride, love of America, President Trump. I mean, all these things liberals can’t stand. This was just like a great day.

Naturally, what sane people think of as a “phenomenal event,” liberals despised. And their Twitter reactions showed it.
Did you expect liberals to flip over Trump at the Daytona 500?

NBC’s Kelly O’Donnell was among the wet blankets.
“This was an official White House event therefore paid by taxpayers as @realDonaldTrump@FLOTUS attended Daytona 500 today and ‘The Beast’ limo ran a pace car lap around the track,” she wrote, using a nickname for the presidential limousine.
It’s not surprise that she had plenty of liberal followers jumping in on the wailing and gnashing of teeth – it’s always funny when Democrat worry about wasting tax dollars. But O’Donnell she got plenty of pushback, too – especially from Americans who remember the Obama years.

Former Rep. Katie Hill weighed in, too. Apparently, being forced to leave the House of Representatives in disgrace – for sexually consorting with a young, female staffer – doesn’t stop a Democrat from getting preachy.

It was inevitable liberals were going to go bananas over Trump’s trip. Anyone who’s ever been to a NASCAR race knows the events aren’t liberal friendly. The spectators tend to love God, America and the internal combustion engine – pretty much the opposite of a standard liberal list of priorities.
And when a president they loathe is a major part of the show, it’s more or less guaranteed that liberal heads are going to explode.
The only good news for the left is the race had to be halted due to rain only 20 laps in, so the rest of it is due to begin at 4 p.m. Monday. It will be broadcast live on Fox, according to The Associated Press.
Liberal NASCAR fans will be able to watch it with their heads intact.

Presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg once claimed that farming and manufacturing jobs required little brainpower compared to the information economy, where the former New York City mayor made billions.
Bloomberg, who is under fire after a string of old sexist and racially insensitive remarks resurfaced on social media last week, made the belittling comments at a 2016 Oxford University forum in England. During the forum, the former mayor asserted that a major obstacle to uniting America’s heartland with the coasts was the inability of blue-collar workers to transition into the information economy.
“I could teach anybody, even people in this room, no offense intended, to be a farmer,” Bloomberg said. “It’s a process. You dig a hole, you put a seed in, you put dirt on top, add water, up comes the corn. You could learn that.”
“Then we had 300 years of the industrial society,” he continued. “You put the piece of metal on the lathe, you turn the crank in the direction of the arrow, and you can have a job.”
Bloomberg proceeded to argue that with the advancement of the information economy, individuals who would have prospered in the old industrial and farming jobs are now at a disadvantage because they lack adequate education and intellect.
“Now comes the information economy and [it] is fundamentally different because it’s built around replacing people with technology and the skill sets that you have to learn are how to think and analyze, and that is a whole degree level different,” he said. “You have to have a different skill set, you have to have a lot more gray matter.”
Bloomberg added that it was unclear if the skills or “gray matter” required for such high-skilled jobs could be easily taught in schools, so the “challenge of society” was figuring out how to provide for those locked out of the information economy.
When the comments first began circulating on social media this weekend they elicited a strong rebuke from both the right and the left.
Bloomberg wouldn’t last 3 seconds as a farmer… but like his comments on minorities, you can tell he really hates regular hardworking Americans.

The revelations come as the former mayor is already facing scrutiny for his position on policing and race issues after audio resurfaced from a speech he gave at the Aspen Institute in 2015. In his remarks to the mostly white gathering, Bloomberg defended “stop-and-frisk” in words that can only be described as racially charged.
“It’s controversial, but … 95 percent of your murders, and murderers, and murder victims fit one [description],” he is heard to say on the audio. “You can just take the description, Xerox it, and pass it out to all of the cops. They are male, minorities, 15 to 25. That’s true in New York, it’s true in virtually every city in America.”

Border Patrol Deploys 100 ‘Elite’ Tactical Agents To Sanctuary Cities As Federal Immigration Crackdown Begins
While the mainstream media throws a field day over President Trump’s twitter battle of wits with AG Barr and subsequent calls for the AG’s resignation…
BARR: He didn’t do it.
TRUMP: But I could of.
BARR: He never did it.
TRUMP: But I should of.
BARR: I wish he wouldn’t.
TRUMP: I still might.
BARR: It is not helpful.
TRUMP: It’s my right.— Jeremy Newberger (@jeremynewberger) February 14, 2020
…the Trump Administration is presiding over an unprecedented crackdown on sanctuary cities and the border in general. A few days ago, AG Barr announced a slate of federal lawsuits challenging sanctuary cities and states over their refusal to cooperate with federal immigration authorities.
Now, Axios, the New York Times and others are reporting the administration’s next move: Sending cadres of specially trained border agents to a handful of sanctuary cities in preparation for a "immigrant arrest operation set to begin this weekend alongside Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.
The deployment will reportedly be carried out over the next few months: From February through May, at least 100 CBP officers will be sent to a group of cities including Chicago, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Houston, Boston, New Orleans, Detroit and Newark, according to the Times. Not all are considered sanctuary cities.
Some of the agents are part of an elite CBP tactical unit, according to acting ICE Director Matthew Albence, who told the NYT that the action is a response to the sanctuary cities refusal to cooperate with federal immigration authorities and hold immigration violators for deportation.
"As we have noted for years, in jurisdictions where we are not allowed to assume custody of aliens from jails, our officers are forced to make at-large arrests of criminal aliens who have been released into communities," he said. "When sanctuary cities release these criminals back to the street, it increases the occurrence of preventable crimes, and more importantly, preventable victims."
For those who understand the importance of enforcing immigration laws, this deployment should seem like exactly what it is: a tactical deployment to compensate for local authorities attempts to stymie federal authorities at every turn.
But we imagine open-border advocates and their network of activists will denounce the deployment as a brutal violation of human rights, that won’t do anything to make America more safe.
It’s worth noting that other recent attempts by ICE officers have been spoiled by local officials and even President Trump giving advance warnings. Since immigration authorities don’t possess the sweeping law-enforcement powers of police or the FBI, it’s more difficult for them to bring suspects into custody, and it’s a lot easier for ‘liberal do-gooders’ to help suspects avoid apprehension.
During the coming deployment, the CBP agents will be responsible for backing up the ICE agents who are authorized to carry out certain police operations within America’s borders (CBP officials typically only have the authority to detain suspects along the border).
As the NYT notes, the operation is the administration’s latest embrace of a hard-line immigration policy, and follows the firing of several officials deemed not sufficiently "tough enough" to carry it out.
Typically, ICE focuses on illegal aliens with criminal histories and violent pasts. Again, leftists try to make it seem like ICE is deporting people for routine traffic violations: Not so. The goal of the operation is to raise immigration arrests and deportations in these zones by 35%.

Conservatives are under assault.
In another incident in a string of attacks, protesters at the University of California at Santa Cruz bashed a College Republicans information table, with one reportedly spitting on a U.S. flag.
A video posted on social media shows two protesters ripping up placards. One is seen appearing to spit on a 13-star “Betsy Ross” American flag laying on the ground and calls it a symbol of “white supremacy.”

— Hayden Williams (@HaydenTWilliams) February 13, 2020
Dylan Temple, president of the College Republicans chapter at UC Santa Cruz, told the Post Millennial that the incident began after one of the protesters grabbed one of the group’s flags.
“The Post Millennial can report that one of the assailants who destroyed a College Republicans booth and assaulted a tabler at the University of California, Santa Cruz, has been identified as 23-year-old queer activist, Martina Martin, who also uses the name Artimus Martin.”
On Feb. 7, Martin and another young woman were filmed vandalizing the booth at Quarry Plaza on the UCSC campus. Martin, who uses “they” and “them” pronouns, can be seen taking the lead on the attack by trying to forcibly yank a “Trump 2020” flag from Hayden Williams, who was tabling at the booth and was scheduled as a guest speaker later that day.
“This is a flag of white supremacy,” Martin says in the video, which has since gone viral after being uploaded this week. As the two tussle over the flag, chairs and items are knocked over before Martin shoves Williams to the ground. Martin then tears down the booth’s banner and spits on the Betsy Ross flag before fleeing from the scene with the accomplice, who had torn up a sign.
The video does not show what happened before the vandalism began but Dylan Temple, president of College Republicans at UCSC, says the incident started when Martin tried to steal a flag. He says the incident was immediately reported to campus police.
The incident was yet another in a string of violent attacks against conservatives. In one attack in Florida, a driver smashed his van into a Republican voter-registration tent in a Jacksonville shopping center parking lot, barely missing six volunteers. The man then got out of his vehicle and recorded video of the smashed tent before fleeing.

In another incident, an unidentified woman allegedly punched a retired New York City police officer who was wearing MAGA-style attire in a Tennessee bar. Then, in New Hampshire, a man allegedly assaulted a 15-year-old Trump supporter and two adults near a polling site during the state’s primary election.
Fox News reported that Windham Police Department arrested Patrick Bradley, 34, and charged him with simple assault and disorderly conduct.
“Police said the incident happened Tuesday as Bradley exited the voting location inside the high school and was walking by a Trump campaign tent occupied by several supporters,” Fox News reported. “As he passed by the tent, police said, Bradley slapped a 15-year old juvenile across the face and then assaulted two other adults who attempted to intercede.”
Bradley was also accused of throwing Trump signs and trying to destroy the tent.

I wonder if there’s a different version of California for liberals — an alternate universe version where everything is working smoothly.
Maybe they don’t see the troubled part.
After all, most of what out-of-state politicians see is swanky affairs at homes in the Hollywood Hills or in the better neighborhoods of Silicon Valley — the kind of shindigs like the scene at the beginning of “Bullitt” where the supercilious senator played by Robert Vaughn first meets Steve McQueen’s character.
Michael Bloomberg is the second major politician I’ve seen talk about how wonderful the Golden State recently.
Granted, the most recent was its Democratic governor, Gavin Newsom, who went on “The View” and basically told us all how his state was some sort of template of how a post-Donald Trump America should look.
TRENDING: Veterans Set Ilhan Omar Straight After She Pushes for Major GI Bill Change
The problem is that Newsom isn’t alone.
In January, we had the specter of Bloomberg telling us how California “can serve as a great example” to the rest of America.
Bloomberg is a guy who normally wouldn’t need to be talking up the Golden State.
He’s the former mayor of New York City, a metropolis where the residents look down on California as a land for those with an unserious mindset, a people who have managed to somehow combine slacking and striving into the same general ethos.
Do you think Michael Bloomberg will win the Democratic nomination?
0% (0 Votes)
0% (0 Votes)
There are two reasons why Bloomberg is suddenly putting forth a failing state as the kind of place that can set an example for all of us.
First, as per his Super Tuesday blitz strategy, he desperately needs to win and win big in California. If he doesn’t, I hope he kept his receipts for his presidential run.
Second, some of the failed policies that California is fond of? Bloomberg’s actually pretty fond of them, too.
“I think that California can serve as a great example for the rest of this country,” Bloomberg said at the opening of his campaign headquarters in Los Angeles last month, according to the California Globe, adding that it’s “something the rest of the country looks up to.”
We do?
RELATED: Maxine Waters Scoffs at Rural States, Brags About Elitist Beverly Hills Parties
Well, Bloomberg did mention the whole housing crisis thing and the fact the state’s homelessness is out of control, “as well as other issues California is currently trying to solve,” the Globe said. (If he listed those other issues, the speech would be ongoing.)
But then there’s the reason why he thinks California is doing quite well for itself: “Bloomberg noted that California’s efforts on climate change, gun control, and criminal justice reform were second to none, and that the rest of the nation should follow their lead,” the Globe reported.
Ah yes, there we go. California, a state that has a prohibitively high cost of living and wants to get to 60 percent clean energy usage by 2030 and 100 percent clean usage by 2045, according to Quartz, something I’m sure won’t have a negative effect on the the state’s electricity costs.
As for gun control, yes, the state constantly tests the limits of its least favorite amendment repeatedly. Much of this change has been goaded on, mind you, by Bloomberg-astroturfed groups like Everytown for Gun Safety.
As for criminal justice reform, let me point out that this is a state where a Democrat is currently proposing a bill under which offenders under the age of 20 could be charged as juveniles.
This’ll all play very well in California, mind you.
“Bloomberg was a late entry into the Democratic race, so he didn’t get a foothold in states like Iowa and New Hampshire,” former political strategist Casey Larkin told the Globe.
“California is his line in the sand and he’s going all in on it, similar to how Rudy Giuliani always started with Florida in previous Republican primaries.
“He’s saying this simply as a way to get California voters on his side. Notice how he specifically praised California’s gun control and their stance on global warming. He may personally believe it, but he mentioned the issues the resonate the strongest among California democrats who live in major cities. That’s who he’s going for. It’s a New York City strategy to target urban areas and miss the rest.
“He’s also going after the bases of the other candidates, all of whom aren’t here. They’re in Iowa mostly. He wants to get a lot now to make it a surprise when they get back here and make it an early shock with to carry momentum. So it’s also a play from George McGovern’s ’72 playbook.”
Technically it’s a reverse play.
For those of you who aren’t political junkies and/or Hunter Thompson fans who’ve read “Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail ’72,” here’s a TL;DR: Back during the 1972 election, long-shot far-left candidate George McGovern campaigned out in Iowa before the Iowa caucuses mattered that much while everyone else was in New Hampshire, which led to him posting a better-than-expected finish in the Hawkeye state that put him among the top tier of candidates.
Combine that with an establishment favorite who stumbled badly (Edmund Muskie, a jowl-tastic senator from Maine) and a Democrat electorate ready for an insurgent, and McGovern managed to win the nomination.
He then lost the general election to Richard Nixon like the worst XFL team last weekend would lose to the Kansas City Chiefs.
There’s your political lesson for the day, millennials. You’re welcome.
Beyond questions of whether this works (kissing up to the left in California as a gamble doesn’t seem like such a hot idea in hindsight when the only candidate who’s built up momentum thus far honeymooned in the Soviet Union), that’s kind of not the point — this is who Mike Bloomberg is.
Bloomberg may put himself forth as a moderate, but he’s also an inveterate nanny-stater — and those two things work at cross-purposes. If he believes the government can achieve something, he won’t try to get there by halves.
This is something the people of New York City found out.
He didn’t like sugary sodas, so he tried to ban sodas from being sold in large sizes. (The courts, thankfully, had a little word with him.)
On smoking, Bloomberg hated the habit, so he did everything in his power to eradicate it.
New York’s gun laws were practically draconian.
This is what he did in a city.
He now wants to do it for (or to, if you prefer) an entire nation.
In 2009, the late polemicist Christopher Hitchens wrote a piece on New York City’s petty regulations, spurred on by how they’d mushroomed under then-Mayor Bloomberg.
“In fact, the law these days is very clear. It states that New York City is now the domain of the mediocre bureaucrat, of the inspector with too much time on his hands, of the anal-retentive cop with his nose in a rule book, of the snitch willing to drop a dime on a harmless fellow citizen, and of a mayor who is that most pathetic and annoying figure — the micro-megalomaniac,” Hitchens wrote.
And now that micro-megalomaniac wants to remake America in that image, and he thinks California would be a “good example.”
California, with its unaffordable over-regulated housing market, rampant homelessness, streets strewn with fecal matter, Second Amendment-baiting gun laws and elected officials who are either gleefully proud of these things or oblivious to the extent of the problems.
Some moderate.
In California, ordinary people can leave — and they do, in droves.
As ordinary Americans who love this country, our options are much more limited. We can be thankful, however, that our government is too, as are Michael Bloomberg’s chances of becoming the Democratic nominee.
However, chalk him up as yet another Democrat who can’t help but see an alternate reality version of California that simply doesn’t exist.
