Parler: Twitter Suspending James O’Keefe Is ‘Political Censorship’ and ‘Election Interference’

Social media company Parler has slammed Twitter’s decision to suspend Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe, saying that the move amounts to “political censorship” and “election interference.”

Twitter suspended O’Keefe’s account last month shortly after Project Veritas released undercover footage showing Bernie Sanders staffers praising Stalin’s gulags and promising that “cities will burn” if President Donald Trump is re-elected.

Parler CEO John Matze said in a statement to Breitbart News that Twitter’s decision represents an attack on investigative journalism.

“Investigative journalism requires information to be released that would not normally make it to the public eye. This is a form of transparency. By going out of your way to stonewall transparency you are killing real journalism and when you only do it to protect politicians with your favored ideology, it looks biased and it is political censorship. This is election interference,” he said.

“Additionally I would like to stress that people need to make a stand against social publications and join Parler because this election interference by Twitter is going to get much worse before it gets better and Parler is the only answer.”

Parler launched in 2018 as a competitor to Twitter and has attracted conservatives concerned about censorship from Silicon Valley giants.

Twitter has claimed that it locked O’Keefe’s account because of “privacy violations,” after O’Keefe posted a publicly available FEC paystub of the Sanders’ staffer who praised violence and gulags.

O’Keefe told Breitbart News earlier this month that “the information we published was a screenshot from a U.S Government website, certainly not private. But even if it was private, the information did meet the threshold of ‘overriding’ public interest.”

BREAKING: Jussie Smollett Indicted By Special Prosecutor In Chicago

Special prosecutor Dan Webb has indicted actor Jussie Smollett in connection with a hate crime hoax that he was accused of staging last January.

“The Cook County Clerk’s Office confirmed Tuesday that special prosecutor Dan Webb has indicted former ‘Empire’ actor Jussie Smollett in connection with the alleged attack,” ABC 7 reported. “Smollett had been charged with 16 counts of felony disorderly conduct for allegedly lying to police about the alleged attack, which police say Smollett staged on himself because he was unhappy with his ‘Empire’ salary.”

Fox 4 noted that prosecutors had insisted last year that “Smollett faked the racist, anti-gay attack on himself in the hopes that the attention would advance his acting career.”

“But with little explanation, authorities in March of 2019 abruptly dropped all charges against Smollett, abandoning the criminal case only five weeks after the allegations were filed. In return, prosecutors said, the actor agreed to let the city keep his $10,000 in bail,” Fox 4 added. “The dismissal drew a swift backlash from the mayor and police chief and raised questions about why Smollett was not forced to admit what prosecutors had said they could prove in court – that the entire episode was a publicity stunt.”

The development comes after a Cook County judge recently ordered Google to turn over nearly all of Smollett’s data from the last year.

“The warrants, filed last month in Circuit Court, sought a trove of documentation from Smollett and his manager’s Google accounts — not just emails but also drafted and deleted messages; any files in their Google Drive cloud storage services; any Google Voice texts, calls and contacts; search and web browsing history; and location data,” The Chicago Tribune reported. “Authorities could be looking for any incriminating remarks from Smollett or his manager, especially in the months after State’s Attorney Kim Foxx’s office abruptly dismissed disorderly conduct charges against the then-‘Empire’ actor just weeks after his indictment.”

Trump Flies Unannounced To Dover AFB After N.H. Rally To Pay Respects To Two Soldiers Killed In Afghanistan

After a raucous campaign rally in New Hampshire, President Trump on Monday took an unannounced trip to Dover Air Force Base to take part in a somber “dignified transfer ceremony” for two 28-year-old soldiers killed in Afghanistan.

After a brief prayer inside a C-17 transport plane, the president and Vice President Mike Pence stood at attention in a light rain as two U.S. flag-draped transfer cases were carried down the plane’s ramp by six members of the military wearing white gloves. The cases contained the remains of Sgt. 1st Class Antonio R. Rodriguez, of Las Cruces, New Mexico, and Sgt. 1st Class Javier J. Gutierrez, of San Antonio, Texas, who both died Saturday in a firefight in Nangarhar Province.

Also attending the ceremony were people traveling with the president, including daughter Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner, National Security Adviser Robert O’Brien, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz.

“These were fallen heroes and we were close by and the president wrapped his rally early so he could come,” O’Brien told the press on board Air Force One.

Also in attendance were James C. McConville, Chief of Staff of the Army, SGM Michael Grinston, Sergeant Major of the Army, Maj. Gen. John Brennan, 1st Special Forces Group Commander, CSM Tomas Sandoval, Command Sergeant Major, 1st Special Forces Group, and Col. Matthew Jones, 436th Airlift Wing Commander, among others.

The scene was emotional. Eli Stokols, a reporter for the Los Angeles Times, was in the media pool for the event and filed this in a report to other journalists:

At 11:03 in a light rain, the marshaler directed the vehicle with the family members of both transfers onto the tarmac and it pulled to a stop. One family member broke away toward the C-17 carrying the two transfers and was wailing as other family members and a soldier gathered her on the bottom of the rear ramp.

A few moments later once the family members were beneath a canopy, the Army carry team emerged from our right and walked behind the transfer vehicle up the ramp into the rear of the C-17 aircraft. VPOTUS and POTUS followed.

After a prayer inside the aircraft out of our view, VPOTUS and POTUS walked out and stood at attention. When the carry team brought the first flag-draped transfer, SFC Javier J. Gutierrez, down to the tarmac, they saluted as the six white gloved members of the carry team walked past with the flag-draped remains and loaded it into the waiting vehicle.

Then, the same carry team did an about face and walked back up into the C-17. After another short prayer, they came out carrying the second flag-draped transfer, SFC Antonio R. Rodriguez, again passing VPOTUS and POTUS, who stood at attention, both saluting with their right hands.

When both transfers were loaded, the back doors of the vehicle were closed and the van drove away. As the carry team and official party walked past the family, POTUS gave a low thumbs up, pumping his right fist below his waist as they walked out of view at 11:31.

The White House said it was the first time since 2009 that the president and vice president have attended a dignified transfer together.

O’Brien also said dignified transfer ceremonies and Trump’s visits to wounded veterans at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Maryland are the “toughest” duty of being president.

After the ceremony, Trump wrote on Twitter: “Just returned to White House from Dover. Very sad!”

Desperate Biden Calls Rudy a ‘Thug,’ Bluffs Badly When CBS Asks About Hunter

Joe Biden better bluff better than this.

Faced with some clearly uncomfortable questions during an interview Monday on CBS’ “This Morning,” the former vice president first tried bravado, then he tried insinuation.

Then he tried fake outrage.

But if he thinks that’s going to sway American voters, or even the Democratic primary electorate, he’s going to have to think again.

Calling the president’s personal lawyer a “thug” isn’t going to get Biden into the Oval Office either.

TRENDING: Nearly 3 Years Later, FBI Director Admits Surveillance of Carter Page Was Illegal

The situation arose when Biden was asked about information Trump attorney and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani might have turned up about Hunter Biden’s activities in Ukraine while Biden was vice president.

Not even the blindest Democratic partisan would have been fooled by Biden’s stage laughter.

Check it out here:

After first pretending disbelief that Giuliani’s name could even have been brought into the conversation, Biden went off onto one of his now-familiar, and easily discountable, attacks on President Donald Trump.

“I expect Trump to do the same exact thing he’s been doing,” he said. “Why’s he been attacking me from the beginning? Why did he risk — and he should have been impeached — why did he risk getting convicted by going to a foreign leader to say you don’t have to give me anything on Biden, there’s nothing to get, just tell me you’re going to investigate him so I can hurt him. Have you ever seen a sitting president as concerned about a single nominee and trying to stop a nominee?”

Coming from a man who served in the Obama White House, that’s almost funny.

Have we ever seen a sitting president so concerned about a single nominee? How about the FBI getting involved in investigating a political campaign – the way the federal agency did during the Obama presidency in 2016? Some might think that qualifies as a certain level of animus in a White House regarding a political opponent.

Biden’s answer when he was asked if he considered his son Hunter “fair game” in a political season was just as disingenuous – and just as hard to believe.

“I don’t think our sons are fair game at all,” Biden responded. “No one has said he’s done anything wrong except the thug Rudy Giuliani. Come on. Rudy Giuliani, a character witness?”

First of all, Rudy Giuliani is a man who’s been on the public stage for decades. While he might not be universally popular (his short-lived shot at the presidency in 2008 proved that), most Americans likely consider him a known quantity.

Men who become New York City mayors and federal prosecutors are rarely shrinking violets, and Giuliani is certainly a man whose tough-talking ways are tough to ignore, but calling him a “thug” is beyond the bounds even for an increasingly desperate Biden.

The former vice president not only came in fourth in the Iowa caucuses but — with Sens. Elizabeth Warren and Amy Klobuchar —  is well behind Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg in New Hampshire polls, according to RealClearPolitics.

And if Biden really thought Giuliani was the only person in America who thinks Hunter Biden has done something wrong – say by accepting a $50,000-a-month sinecure from a foreign energy company based solely on his father’s political position – the former vice president would be sadly, stupidly mistaken.

Biden’s sudden insistence that presidential offspring should be off limits to political attacks might well be related to information Giuliani has turned up in Ukraine – information Attorney General William Barr is open to reviewing, according to USA Today.

But the former vice president has a bigger problem.

He doesn’t seriously believe that Rudy Giuliani is the only person who thinks Hunter Biden has done something wrong.

In fact, he would probably be hard put to find anyone in the United States who followed politics who didn’t at least suspect that a man with the kind of troubled past Hunter has just might not be worth more than half-million dollars a year to a Ukraine energy company if his presence didn’t hold at least the potential for favorable treatment from a certain close relative high in the Obama administration.

Biden might be gaffe-prone, getting old, and under pressure from the rigors of a presidential campaign he never should have started and is almost to end in humiliation, but he’s not stupid.

He knows what happened with his son in Ukraine was wrong. He knows millions of Americans know it. And he probably knows the truth is going to come out sooner or later.

What he really needs now is to learn to bluff a lot better than he did on Monday.

Man Allegedly Exploits Loophole To Stay in USA, Now Linked to Horrific String of Elderly Deaths

Authorities reportedly believe an illegal immigrant and alleged serial killer charged last year with capital murder in connection with the smothering of 12 elderly Texans may have killed as many as 22 victims.

According to Breitbart, Billy Chemirmir, a Kenyan immigrant in his 40s, was initially suspected of murdering 81-year-old Dallas resident Lu Thi Harris.

Further investigation, however, saw the Kenyan immigrant charged with killing 11 other women ages 76 to 94 — all while serving as a home health-care assistant and aide.

And now, the revelation of recent lawsuits and amended coroners’ reports seem to indicate the Kenyan immigrant may be under the gun for almost two dozen murders, seven of which transpired at Preston Place Retirement Community during the alleged killer’s initial spree, The Dallas Morning News reported.

TRENDING: Nearly 3 Years Later, FBI Director Admits Surveillance of Carter Page Was Illegal

Posing as a maintenance worker, Chemirmir is said to have entered and cased the homes of elderly residents within the apartment complex for small valuables, eventually returning to murder the owners of the possessions and steal their belongings for resale.

Preston Place staff was reportedly first made aware of Chemirmir’s suspicious behavior in March 2018 by Miriam Nelson, who phoned higher management to inform them that an unfamiliar maintenance man had arrived to check on a leak she had never reported and knew nothing of.

The individuals notified apparently did nothing to address Nelson’s concerns.

She would be found dead in her living space just two days later.

It was not until Nelson’s neighbor, an anonymous 91-year-old woman, was resuscitated the next day, following an apparent murder and burglary attempted by Chemirmir, that information regarding the suspicious figure would be provided to investigators and an arrest would be made.

Judging from The Dallas Morning News’ reporting of recent events regarding the case, the alleged victims’ family members are rightly laying a substantial amount of blame at the feet of Preston Place’s management for negligently failing to meet the security needs of community residents.

According to initial reporting from Breitbart, however, relaxed attention paid to federal immigration law is just as much to blame for this slew of financially motivated murders as poor security management at Preston Place and other Dallas-Fort Worth retirement communities.

RELATED: Sensitive Biden Info Stolen in ‘Professional Job’ Near WH, Secret Service Involved: Report

Residing in the U.S. in July 2003 on a B-2 tourist visa, which he promptly overstayed, Chemirmir was eligible for deportation numerous times before his alleged killing spree and had been convicted of driving under the influence, trespassing, assault and obstructing a police officer, according to law enforcement.

Instead, however, Chemirmir was allowed to stay in the U.S., exploiting a legal loophole to engage in what was reportedly a sham marriage with an American citizen in exchange for green card status.

The Kenyan immigrant still maintains that he is innocent of the killings, however, despite mounting evidence.

He is currently being held in the Dallas County Jail on $11.6-million bail and faces the death penalty should he be convicted when the first case, that of Lu Thi Harris, goes to trial in April 2021.

And as the families of Chemirmir’s alleged victims wait for what any reasonable person would say is far too long for justice to be served, I would echo their grievances with Preston Place Retirement Community to our political representatives.

You have “let us down.”

You have let these families down.

If the state’s case against Chemirmir is true, it is not only a case against a single serial murder, but against Washington’s political establishment — an establishment that seems to have decided that not only will stronger immigration laws not be pursued, but nothing will be done to ensure that those laws already on the books are enforced.

How hard would it be to establish a system by which visa-holders are monitored to ensure they do not overstay their welcome?

And I’m not talking about by a day or two. A grace period is more than reasonable — so long as it isn’t long enough to allow for four criminal convictions and the finalization of someone’s honeymoon plans.

It Turns Out Anti-Trump ‘Black Ledger’ Was ‘Completely Made Up,’ and Mueller Knew – Report

According to a new report by investigative journalist John Solomon, a key piece of evidence used to justify Robert Mueller’s investigation of alleged links between associates of President Donald Trump and Russian officials has been proven to be a complete fabrication.

Solomon, a Fox News contributor who previously wrote for The Hill and has been working to illuminate alleged corruption in Ukraine by former Vice President Joe Biden and other Democrats, reports that the infamous “black ledger” that was used to investigate and convict former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort was completely bogus.

The ledger emerged in Kiev during the 2016 election and purported to show that Manafort had taken cash payments from Russian-backed politicians in Ukraine for his work as a consultant in the region.

Solomon wrote Thursday in his new media venture, Just the News, that according to a written summary of an April 2018 special counsel interview, former Trump campaign aide Rick Gates told federal investigators working for Mueller that the ledger was “completely made up.”

Gates, a former longtime business associate of Manafort’s, cooperated with the former FBI director’s investigation in 2018. In exchange for a reduced sentence, Gates gave investigators information that ultimately helped to convict Manafort of multiple financial and fraud crimes.

TRENDING: Nearly 3 Years Later, FBI Director Admits Surveillance of Carter Page Was Illegal

However, Gates stated during the investigation that he believed the document was a fraud, according to Solomon.

Following an interview with Gates this past week, Solomon wrote:

“Gates confirmed the information in the summary. ‘The black ledger was a fabrication,’ Gates said. ‘It was never real, and this fact has since been proven true.’

“Gates’ account is backed by several Ukrainian officials who stated in interviews dating to 2018 that the ledger was of suspicious origins and could not be corroborated.”

Are partisan investigations setting a dangerous precedent?

0% (0 Votes)

During his interview with investigators, Gates reportedly stated that the information in the ledger was inconsistent with how former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych’s Party of Regions paid consultants, such as Manafort, Solomon reported.

Further calling into question the veracity of the ledger, Gates stated that Yanukovych’s pro-Russian political party lost all official accounting records in a fire during Ukraine’s 2014 Maidan uprising.

Gates told prosecutors the ledger was a “copy of a document that did not exist” and that the handwriting inside did not match that of the accountant who would have authored such a ledger.

He also told investigators that a New York Times report outlining the contents of the ledger contained inaccurate information. Solomon reported that Gates told Mueller’s team, “The article was completely false.”

A 2016 Times article that first reported the existence of the ledger alleged that between 2007 and 2012, Manafort was paid $12.7 million in under-the-table cash payments from Yanukovych’s pro-Russian party.

RELATED: Desperate Biden Calls Rudy a ‘Thug,’ Bluffs Badly When CBS Asks About Hunter

Gates and Manafort were indicted in 2017 on charges of conspiracy, money laundering and other alleged crimes. In December, Gates was sentenced to 45 days in jail, three years probation and a $20,000 fine. Manafort is serving a seven-and-a-half-year sentence for tax fraud and other charges that stemmed from Mueller’s investigation.

The ledger, along with the infamous Steele dossier, was instrumental in orchestrating a fraudulent narrative that Trump and his associates colluded with foreign officials to influence the 2016 election.

Now, the integrity of both documents has been shredded.

Two weeks ago, former U.K Parliament member Rupert Allason conducted a forensic analysis of former British intelligence officer Christopher Steele’s work on the infamous and now-discredited dossier outlining alleged Russian interference in the 2016 election and coordination between Trump campaign aides and Russian officials.

Allason concluded there was “a strong possibility that all Steele’s material has been fabricated.”

Since the date of his inauguration, Trump has had to work under a cloud of never-ending partisan investigations.

It is becoming increasingly apparent that the foundations of those investigations were built on untruths and disinformation.

Curbing illegal immigration was one of the pillars of Donald Trump’s successful 2016 presidential campaign and is now a key component of his 2020 re-election effort.

That means you can expect to see a steady dose of headlines directed at what the liberal media believes are the horrors of deportation, even if it means obscuring the truth.

On Wednesday, The Washington Post published a story titled “At least 138 Salvadorans deported by the U.S. were killed in El Salvador: Rights group.”

However, that headline hid an important detail.

Of the 138 deported Salvadorans whose killings were reported, 109 of them were deported by the administration of former President Barack Obama.

TRENDING: Nearly 3 Years Later, FBI Director Admits Surveillance of Carter Page Was Illegal

But, wouldn’t you know it, they did find a way to make it an anti-Trump piece when they quoted Human Rights Watch and its managing director, Alison Leal Parker, who said that the situation “will only worsen” under Trump.

She also blamed the United States for returning the deportees to their home countries.

“U.S. authorities knew or should have known they were going to return these people to harm,” she said. “Therefore they should not have done it.”

Conveniently, Human Rights Watch did not list the reasons for the deportations other than saying some lost asylum cases and others committed crimes.

Do you think the US should deport more illegal immigrants?

0% (0 Votes)

0% (0 Votes)

The report said that many of the detainees were murdered by gangs, particularly MS13, when they returned home, which raises the question of why that would be the case.

There is no way to know from the report if any of the deportees were involved in gang activity, but traditionally gangs target rival gang members.

And as horrific as these murders are, do we really want to import an MS-13 gang war into the United States?

In 2012, there were around 5,600 asylum applications for Salvadorans, but as violence increased in their nation so did the applications, to more than 60,000 in 2017.

The murder rate has dropped significantly, to around 36 per 100,000 people, or 2,390 since 2015, The Post reported.

RELATED: Man Allegedly Exploits Loophole To Stay in USA, Now Linked to Horrific String of Elderly Deaths

“There are an estimated 1.2 million Salvadorans without American citizenship living in the United States,” it said. “Nearly 300,000 are permanent residents. An additional 195,000 have temporary protected status. From 2014 to 2018, about 18 percent of Salvadoran applicants were granted asylum.”

By The Post’s numbers, that means there are around 700,000 illegal Salvadorans in the United States — a frightening number, considering that MS 13 was founded as a Salvadoran gang.

But you are not supposed to be concerned about the safety and well-being of your family. That would make you a racist.

Instead, you are supposed to have your heartstrings tugged to the point where you will say OK to open borders.

It would be nice to save everyone, everywhere from the chaos and violence in the rest of the world, but bringing it to our nation would not make Americans safer.

Even De Blasio Admits Liberals’ Bail Reform Law Linked to Increased NYC Crime

New York was dubbed the safest big city in the world for many years, but a recent surge in crime threatens to change that.

In the 1990s and early 2000s, under the leadership of Mayor Rudy Giuliani and his successor, Michael Bloomberg, the city had a tough stance on crime, and it paid dividends.

Things changed when progressive Bill de Blasio was elected mayor.

But now even de Blasio has had to admit that a left-wing policy is causing a spike in crime.

As of Jan. 1, the city implemented a law that allows many criminals to go free with no bail after their arrest.

TRENDING: Nearly 3 Years Later, FBI Director Admits Surveillance of Carter Page Was Illegal

De Blasio conceded in an interview with WNYC-FM’s Brian Lehrer that the new law has fostered a new era of crime in the city.

“We had, for six years, steady decreases in crime across the board. There’s not a whole lot of other environmental things that have changed recently,” he said, according to the New York Post.

“It sort of stands out like a sore thumb that this is the single biggest new thing in the equation and we saw an extraordinary jump,” the mayor said.

The Post said CompStat data showed that crime has skyrocketed since the bail law took effect.

Do you think the new bail law is a bad idea?

0% (0 Votes)

0% (0 Votes)

“Of course there’s always a possibility this is plain statistical variation, that happens sometimes,” the mayor said.

“But I think it’s pretty clear that there’s only one new major piece in the equation,” he told Lehrer.

De Blasio has backed giving judges the discretion to hold some defendants while they await trial if they are believed to be a danger.

That is something the sponsor of the bail law, Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie, is against, the Post reported.

“I think judicial discretion should be clarified so that there are very clear checks and balances, so that we avoid any inkling of bias entering into the process, but I think a system predicated only on the question of flight risk misses the fact that there are some individuals who are just consistently, by their own actions, and by the proof of due process, consistently creat[ing] a threat to their neighbors,” de Blasio said.

RELATED: Report: Ex-Inmates Using de Blasio Handouts To Buy Booze and Nicotine

The mayor has previously avoided answering questions about the increases in felony assaults, grand larcenies and burglaries since the law’s implementation. But he is no longer running from the obvious truth.

“We saw things emanating from this law starting [to] take effect months ago and obviously now it’s in full effect. But the bottom line is, one, we’ve been 100 percent clear and we are unified on what we feel. Two, we want to act on this productively,” he said.

“We’re in dialogue with leaders in Albany about those concerns, and we want to move forward. In the meantime, this police force can handle anything thrown at them,” de Blasio said.

In one recent case, a woman, Tiffany Harris, who allegedly committed an anti-Semitic attack by slapping three Orthodox Jewish women was released with no bail and punched a woman the next day. And all of that came after two previous arrests that same week in assault cases.

In another case, a three-time convicted bank robber, Christopher Seamans, was released with no bail after being accused of doing a fourth bank job.

In still another, six men — Jaslin Baldera, Livo Valdez, Frandi Ledema, Frederick Baldera, Parfraimy Antonio and Diego Tejada — were let out of jail with no bail after being accused of having $7 million of fentanyl.

And then there is the case of Jordan Randolph, who police say is responsible for the death of another man because he was driving drunk.

According to officers, Randolph attempted to flee the scene before being arrested, showing he is both a danger and a flight risk, but he too was let go with no bail.

Between this new law and its sanctuary policy, New York is about to become the safest big city in the world, all right — the safest, that is, for illegal aliens and criminals.

These are the insane policies that progressives want to have in effect nationwide.

Is it any wonder that Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont wants convicts to be able to vote from their prison cells? Democrats would win the criminal vote in a landslide.

Marc Scaringi: A Week of Accomplishments for Trump and Republicans

In just three days, President Donald J. Trump and the Republican Party scored a historic political hat-trick that will help propel the president and the Republican Party to victory in 2020.

With the caucus disaster in Iowa, the Democratic Party proved it cannot run its own voting system in one small state, let alone major components of the U.S. economy. With the eyes of the nation waiting for the results, no score was put on the board. Even using the latest technology developed by high-ranking Democratic politicos-turned-tech-entrepreneurs, the system failed. As a result, no Democratic presidential candidate benefited from the “Big Mo” that comes from being the declared winner on election night.

Even though the president had nothing to do with this, he will benefit from the Democrats’ failure. The president, by the way, won the Republican caucuses, easily dismissing his two opponents with 97 percent of the vote and without any problems in the tabulation of the votes. The results were reported immediately and early that night for the world to see.

The eyes of the nation then turned from Iowa’s state capital to our nation’s capital.

In his third State of the Union address, the president appeared at the rostrum of the House of Representatives and delivered a speech considered by many on both sides of the aisle to be a home run.

TRENDING: Nearly 3 Years Later, FBI Director Admits Surveillance of Carter Page Was Illegal

In a solemn yet proud voice, the president listed off some of the major accomplishments of his first three years in office – from the lowest levels of black and Hispanic unemployment in U.S. history to the exploding growth in incomes and net worth for lower-income workers. It was like a cascade of high notes leading to the crescendo: “This is a blue-collar boom.”

This will become a major theme in Trump’s re-election as he continues his political assault on the Democrats’ traditional, but perhaps now former, electoral strongholds in the industrial Midwest.

In addition to proving how he was making America great again, the president wove within his remarks a series of poignant and heartfelt tributes to the accomplishments of some great Americans. He honored one of the last of those heroic jet fighter pilots, the Tuskegee Airmen – a 100-year-old named Charles McGee, whom the president had promoted to brigadier general earlier that day.

He also lauded the sacrifice of the young humanitarian worker, Kayla Mueller, who provided relief to those suffering in war-torn Syria, until she was imprisoned and murdered by the ISIS leader al-Baghdadi. With the girl’s parents holding up a picture of their beautiful daughter, the president told of how our elite special-forces unit that killed al-Baghdadi used her birthdate as their mission’s code word and how America’s warriors never forgot Kayla. It was hard not to be moved by this example of the goodness and toughness of the American people.

Do you think Trump’s State of the Union will contribute to his chances of re-election?

0% (0 Votes)

0% (0 Votes)

In an effort to both do good and expand political support for himself and the Republican Party, the president used the speech to tout some policy proposals that may appeal to potential new Republican constituencies.

He promoted his Education Freedom Scholarships and Opportunities Act by awarding a tuition scholarship right there on national television to a smiling fourth-grade student from Philadelphia. She’s the daughter of a single mother who had to pull her out of the private Christian school she had attended because the $5,200 tuition was too much. The president blamed Democratic Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf’s vetoing of a $100-million expansion of the state’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit. Now, Mom can return her daughter to private school, if that’s her choice, thanks to Trump.

Look for the president to continue his appeal to inner-city and black voters. Even his staunchest critics are pointing out how his programs are benefiting black Americans and are worried about his effectiveness in bringing about Blexit.

The day after his State of the Union address, the president scored the most important win of his presidency.

The Senate found him not guilty of both articles of impeachment, with only one Republican senator voting against him. With his acquittal, the president has delivered perhaps the biggest blow of all to the Democratic Party and revealed the incompetence of Democrats in the House for bringing half-baked impeachment articles without having finished their own work.

RELATED: Mike Huckabee: Trump Is Cracking Down on “Sanctuary” Madness

Even worse for Democrats, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi knew she would never have the votes in the Senate to convict. Yet in a political blunder of historic proportions, she led her party down the path to acquittal and possibly to electoral doom this fall.

From Iowa to the rostrum of the House to the well of the Senate, the president has achieved a remarkable political hat-trick, defeating the Democrats at every turn. The president now enjoys his highest approval ratings ever.

Perhaps that’s why Pelosi, in a tantrum that would make the typical toddler proud, angrily ripped up the president’s State of the Union speech on national television.
