Black Comedian Praises Trump on Race, Says Obama Only Helped Actors and Rappers

In a viral clip tweeted Sunday, conservative black comedian Terrence K. Williams praised President Donald Trump on race and excoriated former President Barack Obama, claiming Obama “used” the black community and only helped rappers and actors.

Appearing on internet TV network America’s Voice, Williams talked about Trump addressing the black community and asking them, “What in the hell do you have to lose?”

“And he was right. We didn’t have nothing to lose,” Williams said. “Because the do-nothing Democrats didn’t do anything.”

Williams admitted he was “p—ed off” when talking about how politicians, including Obama, pandered for the black vote.

“I don’t like how these politicians — we put our trust in them, and then they turn around and stab us in the back.

“They get our vote and then they just run away,” Williams said. “We don’t hear from them again.”

Williams  probably didn’t make too many friends in Hollywood when he called Donald Trump “the first black president” and said that once Obama got his “narrow black behind” into office, he didn’t do anything for the African-American community.

“He told everybody — he told me and all the black community, everybody in the black community, ‘I am going to work hard for you, I’m going to bring jobs back for you, I’m going to do this.’”

As Williams noted, he didn’t.

Do you think that Donald Trump will win the 2020 election?

“The only people he invited to the White House, the only people he helped out, was Beyoncé, Jay-Z — you had to be a rapper or an actor to get love from Obama,” Williams said.

“But you know what? President Donald J. Trump — a New York businessman, he was a billionaire — invited me to the the White House.”

“Obama would have never done that. If I didn’t act or rap, Obama wouldn’t invite me to the White House. He didn’t want nothing to do with you.”

Williams went on to call Trump “the first black president.”

“He has done so much for the black community that he is the first black president,” Williams said. “I honestly want him to take a DNA test.”

“He’s doing so much for the black community I’m starting to think he black.”

Well, DNA tests in politics so seldom work out well. (Hi, Liz! How’s that withdrawal speech coming along? Are you going to give it Super Tuesday night or wait a few days?)

However, Williams points out what could be a major disruptor in the 2020 race: Whether or not the black vote stays with the Democratic Party.

Polls last year showed Trump’s approval rating among black voters as high as the 20s and 30s.

Other polls show him with extremely high unfavorable ratings in the black community, with three out of four African-American voters expressing disapproval for him in 2019 when polls from Public Religion Research Institute were averaged out, CNN reported.

Even with high disapproval numbers, according to CNN’s Chris Cillizza, Trump might still be able to pull this one off.

“Now, it’s possible that even with those dismal numbers, Trump might improve on his showing among black voters from 2016 in 2020. That’s because Trump did so incredibly poorly among black voters, winning just 8% of their votes in 2016,” Cillizza wrote in a piece published Feb. 26.

“South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott, the lone black Republican in the Senate, predicted last week that Trump would get 12% of the black vote in 2020, adding: ‘And that is game over.’

“If Trump could get to 12% support in the black community, it would match the best showing for a Republican presidential candidate among that group in the last four decades. (George H.W. Bush in 1988 and Bob Dole in 1996 each got 12% of the African-American vote).”

This all depends on who the Democratic nominee is, as well.

Despite his dismal record on race, including helping shepherd the passage of criminal justice laws he now rails against, former Vice President Joe Biden and his pander-tastic “My Friend Barack” campaign would probably still do well among black voters, if just because of familiarity and the decades of work he’s done building a campaign infrastructure within the black community.

In the case of Bernie Sanders and (especially) Elizabeth Warren, that’s going to be more difficult.

Sanders has had trouble attracting black voters — although he looks positively ecumenical next to the senator from Massachusetts, who has a base whiter than the crowd at a Dave Matthews Band concert.

Bloomberg is a wild card, although he might be a difficult sell because of his criminal justice record.

Either way, Trump has a solid economy and low black unemployment on his side.

He may not get many people calling him “the first black president” the way that Williams did.

However, when Trump asks the question “what in the hell do you have to lose?” the answer isn’t just going to be “nothing” the way it was in 2016.

There’s a whole lot that the black community — and America — have to lose if we go back to the way things were four short years ago.

Bloomberg Confronted on Gun Hypocrisy at Town Hall: ‘Does Your Life Matter More Than Mine?’

It was the kind of moment that showed why Mike Bloomberg should avoid the public.

The former New York City mayor and petulant contender for the presidency took to a Fox News town hall on Monday to introduce himself to the people he’s trying to rule.

Considering it took place in Virginia, a state that values its Second Amendment rights more than many, it was predictable there would be a least one hard-hitting question on Bloomberg’s hardline gun-control policies.

What wasn’t predictable was how badly Bloomberg would blow it.

The moment came when an audience member asked the billionaire why Bloomberg considered it permissible to employ his own well-armed security detail for protection, but would deny his fellow Americans the same right to self-defense.

TRENDING: Dad Sits for Days Outside Wife’s Bedroom Door, Refusing To Leave Her During Her Cancer Battle

Check it out here.

“How do you justify pushing for more gun control when you have an armed security detail that’s likely equipped with the same firearms and magazines that you seek to ban the common citizen from owning?” the man, identified as Clarke Chitty, asked at the town hall in Manassas, Virginia.

Do you think Bloomberg showed his liberal hypocrisy?

0% (0 Votes)

0% (0 Votes)

“Does your life matter more than mine or my family’s or these peoples’?”

Boil down Bloomberg’s answer and it’s reasonable to summarize it as:

“Of course my life matters more than yours – I’m rich, I’m powerful and I’m running for president.”

What he actually said was:

“Look, I probably get 40 or 50 threats every week, OK, and some of them are real. That just happens when you are the mayor of New York City or you are very wealthy, and if you are campaigning for president of the United States you get lots of threats.”

RELATED: Forget the Steele Dossier – Now There’s a Bloomberg Dossier & It’s Devastating

In other words: “Whatever problems you might have don’t amount to requiring armed protection, cretin. Mine do.”

The answer didn’t go over well, either Bloomberg’s with audience Monday night, or with commenters on social media.

And if the arrogance wasn’t bad enough, Bloomberg compounded the problem by misrepresenting his own gun control preferences as simply wanted to keep criminals, the mentally disturbed and what Bloomberg calls “minors” from having firearms.

As a look at Bloomberg’s own website shows, he wants, among other things, to ban “assault weapons” – basically any weapon that looks scary to liberals; require any gun purchaser to obtain a permit first (making the exercise of the Second Amendment right essentially dependent on the government’s approval); and to ban weapons purchases by those under 21. (Those under 21 aren’t “minors,” legally, and Bloomberg knows it.)

Bloomberg spent his 12 years as New York’s mayor proving he thinks an omniscient, omnipotent government is the answer to all societal problems – what other mindset could come up with the idea of using taxation to limit the amount of soda individuals drink?

His answer Monday night proved not only that he has no respect for the Second Amendment, he doesn’t even view his fellow Americans as requiring – or apparently deserving of – the same kind of protection he and his fellow wealthy gun-grabbers enjoy as a matter of routine.

Since declaring for the Democratic nomination for the presidency, Bloomberg has spent more than $500 million in advertising and other campaign expenses, according to NPR.

Monday night’s town hall showed why. Bloomberg can spout off all he wants in slickly produced paid advertising without fear of reality — or his fellow citizens — intruding.

But he should stay out of the public as much as possible – his real personality just might show through.

Ukraine Opens Probe into Joe Biden’s Role in Firing Top Prosecutor

A court ruling in Ukraine has prompted state investigators to launch a probe into alleged pressure at the hands of then-Vice President Joe Biden that led to the 2016 removal of the Eastern European country’s top prosecutor, Victor Shokin, the Washington Post reported late last week.

Last year, President Trump urged Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to launch a similar investigation during the fateful July 25 call that triggered Trump’s impeachment by the Democrat-controlled House and his eventual acquittal in a Republican-led Senate trial.

White House hopeful Biden has boasted about threatening to withhold $1 billion in U.S. loan guarantees to Ukraine if the Eastern European country did not fire Shokin in 2016.

Shokin claimed his ouster was a result of his interest in investigating Ukrainian gas company Burisma Holdings, where the former vice president’s son, Hunter Biden, served on the board of directors between 2014 and 2019.

Citing Shokin’s lawyer, Oleksandr Teleshetsky, the Post reported last Friday that a probe into Joe Biden came “in response to a court order, after an appeal for action by Shokin” back in January.

“They need to investigate this. They have no other alternative. They are required to do this by the decision of the court. If they don’t, then they violate a whole string of procedural norms,” Teleshetsky told the Post.

Ukraine’s State Bureau of Investigations confirmed that the Eastern European country had launched an inquiry into Joe Biden.

According to the Post, the case does not explicitly refer to Biden by name. It refers to Biden only as a U.S. citizen.

In October 2019, Ukrainian prosecutor general Ruslan Ryaboshapka announced that the Eastern European country would audit all previous cases linked to Burisma.

While his father was in charge of U.S. policy towards Ukraine as the former VP, Hunter began serving on Burisma’s board of directors despite having no experience in energy matters, prompting allegations that he was using his father’s position for financial gain.

Echoing the intelligence community “whistleblower” complaint that triggered Trump’s impeachment, Democrats seeking to remove the U.S. president argued that on July 25 the American commander-in-chief made a quid pro quo offer to Zelensky to launch an investigation into the former vice president and his son in exchange for American military aid.

Ukraine, Trump, and some impeachment probe witnesses denied the allegation.

The Bidens have also denied any wrongdoing, claiming that Shokin’s removal was not the result of unilateral action directed by Joe Biden.

Shokin, however, claims he was ousted because he wanted to investigate Hunter’s role on the board of Burisma.

Trump and his supporters also assert that Joe Biden improperly used his position as vice president to coerce Ukraine into firing Shokin to protect his son from a probe into Burisma.

Individuals from inside and outside the Obama administration warned of a conflict of interest stemming from Hunter’s position within Burisma while Joe Biden was in charge of U.S. policy towards Ukraine.

In 2015, Joe Biden’s office dismissed concerns raised by an official from the U.S. State Department that Burisma was corrupt.

Public School’s Gender-Neutral Bathroom Closed After Student Arrest for Sexual Assault

An 18-year-old Wisconsin high school student was arrested Thursday for fourth-degree sexual assault, child enticement, and exposing his genitals to a child in the school’s gender-neutral bathroom.

According to WSAW-TV, the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office said Austin Sauer of Rhinelander High School in Wisconsin was arrested, but has not been charged. The sex of the child was not reported.

State statute defines fourth-degree sexual assault as “sexual contact with a person without the consent of that person.”

WAOW News reported Sunday that Sauer was released on a $1,500 signature bond.

Captain Terri Hook said the school’s gender-neutral bathroom has been closed and an investigation is underway. Hook added the school did not send a message to parents since the alleged incident was isolated and Sauer had been removed from the school.

The Christian Post observed that, in 2017, Family Research Council (FRC) gathered a list of over 20 circumstances of women’s privacy being either assaulted or violated by biological men claiming to identify as women in public bathrooms.

Transgender rights groups have urged school districts to authorize policies that allow biological males who identify as female to use girls’ bathrooms and locker rooms, and vice-versa.

In addition, some companies, such as Target, and schools have initiated gender-neutral bathrooms, which allow either sex to use the same bathroom, despite concerns about privacy.

The concerns with some of these policies, as FRC notes, is that “sexual predators could exploit such laws by posing as transgendered in order to gain access to women and girls.”

“Transgender activists have scoffed at these suggestions, essentially denying that such incidents even occur,” wrote FRC, providing its list of “publicly reported incidents in which men violated the privacy of women in bathrooms, locker rooms, and other private spaces, demonstrating that the concern about safety and privacy is legitimate.”

The policies are all based in transgender ideology that states gender identity supplants biological sex.

In February, a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in San Francisco decided in Parents for Privacy v. Barr in favor of an Oregon public school district’s “student safety plan” that allows transgender students to use the bathrooms that correspond to their gender identity and rejects parent and student concerns about privacy.

The “student safety plan” of the Dallas school district places a student’s gender identity above biological sex and allows students who claim to be transgender to use the bathrooms, locker rooms, and showers that correspond to their gender identity.

In May 2019, the Supreme Court declined to take up a case against transgender school policies.

Horowitz: The federal government issued $175 billion in ‘improper payments’ in 2019

Imagine taking $175 billion in cash and flushing it down the toilet. Well, that is what our federal government did last year, according to a new survey from the government’s watchdog.

Every year, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) tracks the amount of improper payments made by various federal agencies and programs in the form of waste, fraud, and abuse. The audit does not subjectively judge whether a program itself is wasteful, but whether, based on the program’s own guidelines, there are payments made that should not be. For fiscal year 2019, the GAO found that the federal government made $175 billion in improper payments, a 15 percent jump from FY 2018.

While we will never tackle the federal deficit crisis by combating waste and fraud alone, these numbers do add up. $175 billion is roughly the cost of the entire annual budget for the gargantuan federeal civilian and military retirement pension program. According to the GAO, the federal government has wasted $1.7 trillion on improper payments alone since 2003. That’s when Congress began requiring this annual audit.

Here are some other key takeaways from the report, which was published yesterday.

  • Roughly $121 billion (69 percent) of the waste was concentrated in just three programs: Medicaid ($57.4 billion), Medicare ($46.2 billion), and Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) ($17.4 billion). In other words, Medicaid accounted for more waste than all of the other government programs (aside from Medicare and EITC) combined. This is another reason why it would be better to convert Medicaid into a direct subsidy to those in need, much like food stamps, rather than funneling it through corrupt managed care. The rate of improper payments for Medicaid accounts for a whopping 13.5 percent of the entire cost of the program, as compared to a 6 percent improper payment rate for the food stamp program. The same principle applies to the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), which is also funneled through the managed care cartel and racked up improper payments ($2.7 billion) composing 15 percent of the program’s budget.
  • Roughly $38 billion of the total amount of improper payments resulted from the agency not being able to authenticate eligibility criteria. Think about what could be done with such a sum of money if we merely clamped down on eligibility standards.
  • Medicaid was the big culprit for the large increase in improper payments from FY 2018 to FY 2019. There was a $21.1 billion increase in Medicaid improper payments estimated by HHS this past year.
  • Some of the increase came as a result of the government tracking waste in certain programs it never previously monitored. For example, this was the first year that the Treasury Department tracked improper payments in some of the other refundable tax credits. It found $7.2 billion in improper payment estimates for Additional Child Tax Credit and $2.1 for the American Opportunity Tax Credit.

What’s so tragic about this is that both parties always talk about cutting “waste, fraud, and abuse” as a cop-out for actually addressing the systemic problems in major government programs and the premise of the federal government’s involvement in various aspects of our lives. However, when it comes time to actually cutting waste, they never do it. Why is it that they are constantly increasing spending to record levels and then passing even more emergency spending bills without ever trying to genuinely combat what is universally regarded as improper payments?

It’s also sad how so much of the waste is embedded in socialist transfer-of-wealth programs, such as Medicaid and refundable tax credits, aka welfare through the tax code. These are programs that many Americans pay for but never receive benefits from. Taken together, the tab for improper payments among all the refundable tax credits was $26.7 billion. That is more than a quarter of the entire cost of refundable credits, estimated to cost about $96 billion!

With the debt surging past $23 trillion and with endless trillion-dollar annual deficits as far as the eye can see, one would think this report would spawn a bipartisan effort to at least combat universal waste. Sadly, the only bipartisanship in Washington is a commitment to waste even more taxpayer funding, subsidize more favored industries, and redistribute even more wealth.

Meanwhile, with 5,000 deportation officers for over 3 million criminal aliens, they can’t fund a few billion dollars to remove other countries’ violent criminals, one of the most important jobs of a national government.

So much for ‘Coexist’: Bernie Sanders and other leftists catcall Mike Pence for prayer to halt coronavirus

With their famous reputation for ‘tolerance’ all out there, leftists, including the presumably vote-seeking Bernie Sanders, are mocking Vice President Mike Pence for beginning his coronavirus task force, a serious group of working government leaders tasked with keeping the infectious disease from spreading through the U.S., with a prayer.

Here’s an excellent description of just how this picture looks:

The Williams referred to lists himself on Twitter as a Harper’s magazine columnist and New York Times magazine contributing writer. Mister establishment.

Sure enough, Bernie Sanders, an intolerant sort of socialist atheist (as Hillary Clinton’s opposition research once revealed) was out there to mock Pence, too:

The press has been similarly contemptuous of Pence:

This one’s interesting in that she views prayer as an either/or proposition – if you pray, you have to have a problem with “science”:

That’s an amazing stretch, given that Pence’s task force is part of the Trump administration’s response to coronavirus, which already is getting kudos, even from far-leftists such as California’s Gov. Gavin Newsom, for its effectiveness. Young Jessica seems to reason that if you pray, bzzzt, God won’t allow you to do anything else. Never mind the detail that Pence probably prayed for the grace of all team members to work together in the hopes of being guided to the right solution. In the cartoon world of the left, if you pray, God won’t allow you to take practical measures, in their minds, he’s not only imaginary, he’s a meanie to boot:

Saturday Night Live got in on the act, too, note that opening statement from the Pence character about not believing in science:

So much for “Coexist.”

Leftists now view the coronavirus epidemic as little more than their golden opportunity to mock and insult people of faith, despite it being no skin off their noses if such people do. They’re not doing anything constructive to check coronavirus, such as offering solutions, or just wishing the team well, they’re focused on the outrage of an opening prayer for a solution, and to someone they don’t think exists. You’d think a prayer would be an easy one to ignore, in order to complain about the response, but for them, outrage and mockery are always priority one, and very likely to turn off black, Latino and Evangelical voters.

It’s also one heck of an ahistorical mindset, given that prayer, as the original Twitterer noted, because prayer has always been invoked in the U.S. in times of uncertainty and crisis.

George Washington and Abraham Lincoln in fact were famous for their prayers in time of crisis, as was Ronald Reagan. Until leftists stopped teaching history, every schoolkid in America knew about Washington praying at Valley Forge in the dead of winter.

Here’s George Washington’s prayer for the nation, still recited every morning at Mount Vernon:

I now make it my earnest prayer, that God would have the United States in his holy protection, that he would incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government, to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another, for their fellow citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field, and finally, that he would most graciously be pleased to dispose us all, to do Justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility and pacific temper of mind, which were the Characteristicks of the Devine Author of our blessed Religion, and without an humble imitation of whose example in these things, we can never hope to be a happy Nation.  Amen

Here’s Abraham Lincoln’s March 4,1865 prayer for peace:

Almighty God, Who has given us this good land for our heritage; We humbly beseech Thee that we may always prove ourselves a people mindful of Thy favor and glad to do Thy will. Bless our land with honorable ministry, sound learning, and pure manners. Save us from violence, discord, and confusion, from pride and arrogance, and from every evil way. Defend our liberties, and fashion into one united people, the multitude brought hither out of many kindreds and tongues. Endow with Thy spirit of wisdom those whom in Thy name we entrust the authority of government, that there may be justice and peace at home, and that through obedience to Thy law, we may show forth Thy praise among the nations of the earth. In time of prosperity fill our hearts with thankfulness, and in the day of trouble, suffer not our trust in Thee to fail; all of which we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Here is Ronald Reagan’s insightful perspective on why we have a prayer tradition at all:

Prayer has sustained our people in crisis, strengthened us in times of challenge and guided us through our daily lives since the first settlers came to this continent.

Our forebears came not for gold but mainly in search of God and the freedom to worship in their own way. We’ve been a free people living under the law with faith in our Maker and in our future.

Lincoln also signed off on a National Day of Prayer and Fasting that was passed in Congress 157 years ago today. This is his powerfully worded proclamation:

Whereas, the Senate of the United States, devoutly recognizing the Supreme Authority and just Government of Almighty God, in all the affairs of men and of nations, has, by a resolution, requested the President to designate and set apart a day for National prayer and humiliation.

And whereas it is the duty of nations as well as of men, to own their dependence upon the overruling power of God, to confess their sins and transgressions, in humble sorrow, yet with assured hope that genuine repentance will lead to mercy and pardon; and to recognize the sublime truth, announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations only are blessed whose God is the Lord.

And, insomuch as we know that, by His divine law, nations like individuals are subjected to punishments and chastisements in this world, may we not justly fear that the awful calamity of civil war, which now desolates the land, may be but a punishment, inflicted upon us, for our presumptuous sins, to the needful end of our national reformation as a whole People? We have been the recipients of the choicest bounties of Heaven. We have been preserved, these many years, in peace and prosperity. We have grown in numbers, wealth and power, as no other nation has ever grown. But we have forgotten God. We have forgotten the gracious hand which preserved us in peace, and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us; and we have vainly imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own. Intoxicated with unbroken success, we have become too self-sufficient to feel the necessity of redeeming and preserving grace, too proud to pray to the God that made us!

It behooves us then, to humble ourselves before the offended Power, to confess our national sins, and to pray for clemency and forgiveness.

Now, therefore, in compliance with the request, and fully concurring in the views of the Senate, I do, by this my proclamation, designate and set apart Thursday, the 30th. day of April, 1863, as a day of national humiliation, fasting and prayer. And I do hereby request all the People to abstain, on that day, from their ordinary secular pursuits, and to unite, at their several places of public worship and their respective homes, in keeping the day holy to the Lord, and devoted to the humble discharge of the religious duties proper to that solemn occasion.

All this being done, in sincerity and truth, let us then rest humbly in the hope authorized by the Divine teachings, that the united cry of the Nation will be heard on high, and answered with blessings, no less than the pardon of our national sins, and the restoration of our now divided and suffering Country, to its former happy condition of unity and peace.

In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the United States to be affixed.

Done at the City of Washington, this thirtieth day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-three, and of the Independence of the United States the eighty seventh.

Compared to that, Mike Pence’s prayer was undoubtedly gentler in tone, but fully within the U.S. tradition of praying for guidance and help in time of crisis.

While there is in the U.S. an East Coast waspy tradition of not wearing one’s religion on one’s sleeve, prayer is quite common in the rest of the country. Praying collectively is perfectly recognizable to blacks, Latinos, Evangelicals, and military families, to take but a few examples.

So despite their claimed need to win an election, the left in a time of crisis chooses to mock prayer instead, insulting an amazing array of voters, and doing zero to help in the coronavirus response. These people are just plain sick.

Memo to the Left: Want More Trump? This is how you get More Trump.

Donna Brazile Meltdown: Shouts ‘Go To Hell!’ at RNC’s McDaniel, Alleges ‘Russian Talking Points’

Appearing Tuesday on the Fox News Channel, network contributor Donna Brazile said Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel should “go to hell” for raising the prospect of the Democratic Party selecting its presidential nominee via a brokered convention.

A transcript is as follows:

SANDRA SMITH: We have Ronna McDaniel, Donna, on the program earlier, chairwoman of the RNC, and she was talking about the possibility of a brokered convention [and] the impact it would have on Bernie Sanders.

[…]

DONNA BRAZILE: First of all, I want to talk to my Republicans. First of all, stay the hell out of our race, stay the hell out of our race! I get sick and tired, Ed and Sandra, of listening to Republicans tell me and the Democrats about our process. First of all, [Republicans] don’t have a process, they are canceling primaries. They have winner take all, they don’t have the kind of democracy that we see on the Democratic side. And for people to use Russian talking points to sow division among Americans, that is stupid. So Ronna, go to hell!

ED HENRY: Woah.

BRAZILE: No, go to hell! I’m tired of it, Ed. We’re not trying to prevent anyone from becoming the nominee. If you have the delegates and win, you will win. This notion that somehow or another that Democrats are trying to put hurdles or roadblocks before one candidate, that’s stupid. I know what’s doing on. [Republicans] are scared Democrats coming together to defeat Donald Trump.
