Nolte: Media Won’t Pressure Biden to Release University Documents that Could Support Assault Allegation

Joe Biden’s lapdogs in the establishment media have no interest in fully investigating Tara Reade’s increasingly credible allegation the former vice president sexually assaulted her in 1993. If the media were interested in a full investigation, they would demand Biden open up his Senate papers at the University of Delaware.

Decades of Biden’s papers from his time as a U.S. Senator are housed at the University of Delaware, but so far the school has refused to release these vital documents to investigative journalists.

Business Insider’s Rich McHugh, the only establishment journalist truly interested in getting to the truth about this, says Reade told him she filed a sexual harassment complaint against Biden  in 1993. The complaint covered only one of her two allegations, the lesser allegation about unwanted touching (something a half-dozen other woman have accused Biden of).

McHugh hasn’t been able to track down that document, and believes the best place to find it would be among Biden’s senate papers.

The University of Delaware, however, is refusing access to those papers. It says the papers will not be made available until two years after Biden retires from public life.

This makes no sense.

First off, January of 2019 marked two years after Biden left the office of vice president, two years after Biden had retired from public life; and the university did not release the papers. So there is some suspicion now that the University of Delaware is engaging in a coverup to protect Delaware’s favorite son.

Secondly, why the arbitrary two years in retirement deadline? Where did that come from?

There is little question, though, that if Biden told the university to make the papers available to McHugh and others, the papers would be made available.

As of this writing, Biden has not only refused to personally comment on or even deny Reade’s allegationa, neither he nor his campaign have asked the university to make the papers available.

Most telling, there is no pressure from the corporate media for Biden to authorize the release of the papers.

A perfect example is CNN’s Don Lemon. On Tuesday the fake journalist hosted Biden’s potential vice presidential pick, Stacey Abrams.

Anyone who watched the segment knows that all Lemon was interested in doing was pretending he’s covering the story, when the truth is he just wanted to give Abrams the opportunity to spew fake talking points from the Biden campaign about how the New York Times cleared Biden of the Reade allegation (the Times did not — more on this below).

Not once did Lemon ask Abrams if Biden should authorize the release of his Senate papers. And the reason for Lemon not asking Abrams this is obvious…

Lemon, CNNLOL, and the rest of the fake new media do not want those papers made available. They are terrified of what might be found, including other sexual harassment allegations. Biden’s sense of entitlement when it comes to the inappropriate touching of women and children is well-documented, not just by a half-dozen complaints, but countless videos of Biden engaging in this disturbing behavior.

And so, once again we are faced with a hypocritical media that has no interest in fully investigating a credible allegation against a Democrat, and in this case we have an allegation that amounts not only to a full-blown sexual assault, but a retaliatory firing afterwards.

Need I lay out the hypocrisy of a media that launched a jihad against Donald Trump to release his tax returns, a jihad against NBC to release outtakes of Trump’s network TV show, a jihad against Mike Bloomberg to release women from nondisclosure agreements, a jihad that went so far as to investigate what books Sarah Palin checked out of her local library?

Worse still, the media are showing no interest in Biden’s papers even as the Biden campaign runs around lying about being cleared by the far-left New York Times.

The false talking point reads like this: “In this case, a thorough review by the New York Times has led to the truth: this incident did not happen.”

Well, time has proven the Times did nothing closed to a “thorough review.”

To begin with, the Times failed to find the 1993 CNN video that proved Reade’s mother called into Larry King Live asking for advice about what to do about her daughter’s problems with a prominent senator. It should be noted that CNNLOL also failed to find that video. This video proved Reade was telling the truth when said she told her now-deceased mother about the allegation when it happened.

Further,  the Times, with all of its vast resources, somehow failed to find the two additional contemporaneous witnesses McHugh found earlier this week, two women who went on the record to verify Reade told them about the alleged assault at the time or just a few years later.

Oh, and of course the Times did not investigate Biden’s senate papers, nor did the Times put any pressure on Biden to release the papers, so the idea the Times did a “thorough review” is a full-blown lie.

Access to Biden’s senate papers could be helpful in other ways. Reade claims her complaints against Biden resulted in her being fired. Team Biden has not yet explained how or why Reade left Biden’s senate office in 1993. McHugh did find an intern who worked under Reade and who verified Reade simply disappeared from the office at the time Reade says she was fired for filing her complaint.

Might these papers hold the secret to why Reade exited Biden’s senate office?

Well, to the surprise of no one who remembers Bill Clinton, John Edwards, and Harvey Weinstein — the media do not want to know and do not want you to know the answers to any of these lingering questions.

In keeping with her acting like a woman with nothing to hide, the same Tara Reade who is asking investigative reporters to dig into her story, is also asking Biden to release his Senate papers.

In keeping his acting like a man with everything to hide, Joe Biden has not professed his innocence, nor is he eager to release the Senate papers that could help to prove his innocence.

YouTube: California Doctors’ Comments on Reopening the Country Are ‘Misinformation’

YouTube has released a statement on its decision to censor a video of two doctors in Bakersfield, California, making the case for an end to Chinese virus lockdowns.

In a statement provided to 23ABC, the local Bakersfield news station that uploaded censored video, the Google-owned platform said:

We quickly remove flagged content that violate our Community Guidelines, including content that explicitly disputes the efficacy of local healthy authority recommended guidance on social distancing that may lead others to act against that guidance.

However, content that provides sufficient educational, documentary, scientific or artistic (EDSA) context is allowed — for example, news coverage of this interview with additional context. From the very beginning of the pandemic, we’ve had clear policies against COVID-19 misinformation and are committed to continue providing timely and helpful information at this critical time.

YouTube has used the pandemic to increase its censorship and control over the flow of news. It recently introduced “fact check” labels next to videos, and its CEO has warned that any information that contradicts World Health Organization guidelines will be removed from the platform. Over the weekend, the platform took down a video explaining UV light treatment from a life sciences company that has partnered with Cedars-Sinai hospital in L.A.

The video of the Bakersfield doctors’ press conference can still be found on other video-hosting platforms, and the first part remains hosted on other YouTube channels.

Arguing that the Chinese virus has proven less deadly than previously believed, the doctors argued for a speedy reopening of the country.

“We have 39.5 million people, if we just take a basic calculation and extrapolate that out, that equates to about 4.7 million cases throughout the state of California,” said Dr. Erickson. “Which means this thing is widespread, that’s the good news. We’ve seen 1,227 deaths in the state of California with a possible incidents or prevalence of 4.7 million. That means you have a 0.03 chance of dying from COVID-19 in the state of California.”

DHS Chad Wolf: Agencies Reviewing Visa Program to Find Jobs for Americans

The Department of Homeland Security is reviewing the nation’s many visa worker programs to ensure Americans get American jobs during the economic recovery, the agency chief told Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade.

One option is a curb on Chinese students’ use of the huge Optional Practical Training program, acting secretary Chad Wolf told Kilmeade:

We’re certainly very concerned regarding a number of these visa programs that Chinese students can use to come into the country and study and stay, and eventually work, we see some of these programs have potentially been abused in the past. So this is work that’s been well underway at the department …  We’ll have a series of recommendations that will be teed up, and some of those could include students on what we call a couple of different OPT and CPT which is our Optical [sic] Practical Training [program].

“We’re taking a look at H-1B’s, the H-2Bs, the H-2As, all of the sort of the temporary worker visas — and there’s many more — to see what kind of changes that we should make,” he said.

Wolf’s statement shows the rapid pre-election progress being in Washington by a series of D.C.-based and grassroots reform groups who want to reduce the annual inflow of immigrants and visa workers.

On April 22, President Donald Trump announced that DHS would trim the inflow of immigrants for 60 days, and he directed his agency chiefs to come up with recommendations for curbs to visa programs in 20 days, for an announcement in 50 days.

This huge shift in national labor policy is very popular. A series of polls are showing Americans’ normal welcome for migrants is being put on hold pending the recovery of jobs for fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, and neighbors.

The groups and individuals – including Numbers USA, the Federation for American Immigration Reform, U.S. Tech Workers, and the Ameican Workers Coalition are pushing for reforms during the coronavirus crash when stock prices are already down, and millions of Americans need the jobs held by the visa workers.

For example, the grassroots American Workers Coalition tweeted a response to Wolf’s statement:

Good News  @DHS_Wolf #EndOPT in it’s entirety. Merely focusing on China students is a mistake. #AmericanGrads need training & jobs in STEM fields for the sake of America’s NS

In 2018, Chinese students got work permits for 25,000 technology OPT jobs — far less than the 70,000 work-permits for technology OPT jobs held by Indian graduates.

The OPT jobs are particularly important because they are a government-subsidized and unregulated on-ramp to lucrative careers in Fortune 500 companies for many foreign graduates who have ethnic ties to foreign-born hiring managers. The program was not created by Congress, but by multiple White Houses.

Wolf sketched the next 30-day stage in Trump’s incremental process. The next stage includes top officials from DHS, the Department of Labor, and the Department of State:

We need to make sure that Americans are employed and so we wanted to take a look at sort of a first step and this would be to curtail new immigrants coming in that would compete with Americans for these jobs. Then the second step would be ‘What other steps [do] we need to take from a temporary worker visa program perspective?’ So we’re doing all of the above … And over the next 30 days we’ll continue to take a look at additional measures.

Proposals to change the visa programs are likely very popular among 2020 voters — but they are facing massive resistance from the investors and Fortune 500 companies which convert college-graduates’ salary cuts into shareholders gains on Wall Street.

The business concerns were touted by an August 28 report in Bloomberg.com, titled “Over 200,000 H-1B Workers Could Lose Legal Status by June.” Bloomberg’s two foreign-born authors ignored American employees to showcase the concerns of Fortune 500 investors:

In a letter sent to the State and Homeland Security departments on April 17, TechNet, a lobbying group whose members include Apple, Amazon, Facebook, Google and Microsoft, joined a coalition of trade groups calling for relief for foreign-born workers. The letter requested a delay in work authorization expiration dates until at least Sept. 10. “Without action, these issues will lead to hundreds of thousands of unfilled jobs and have profound negative economic effects,” the letter read.

The tech industry is crucial to supporting offices working remotely, helping doctors provide telehealth services and keeping students learning at home, said Alex Burgos, senior vice president of federal policy and government relations at TechNet. “We’ve seen the administration extend tax filing deadlines,” he said, and similar flexibility in visa programs makes sense “because no one here is at fault in any way.”

The number of resident foreign workers is not disclosed by government agencies. No establishment media outlet has tried to calculate the resident population of foreign workers, including the numbers of those who hold work visas or work permits.

But calculations by Breitbart News show employers keep a resident population of roughly 1.5 million white collar workers in a very wide variety of U.S. jobs, including design, marketing, healthcare, recruiting, science, journalism, fashion, pharmacy, banking, regulatory compliance, teaching, management, hiring, and software jobs.

This 1.5 million population includes roughly one million Indian graduates and roughly 270,000 Chinese graduates. The population includes roughly 900,000 workers on H-1B visas,  roughly 200,000 people on OPT work permits, 100,000 on CPT permits, and at least 100,000 people at universities and research centers.

That 1.5 million estimate does not count white collar workers who illegally work for several months at a time while visiting with B-1 visas, and it likely understates the growing population of white collar illegal aliens.

Numerous Americans say the existence of this vast foreign worker population blocks many young Americans from getting starter jobs at Fortune 500 companies, reduces salaries for millions of U.S. graduates, and degrades Americans’ professional careers into a series of unstable monthly “gig” contracts.

The supply of subsidized foreign white collar labor also allows business school executives to degrade the workplace authority and free speech of innovative American professionals, to subordinate the development and reliability of technology to the priorities of foreign workers, and also to subordinate technological quality to the demands for quarterly profits by U.S. and Indian CEOs and investors.

Overall, investors are using the foreign workers to outsource much of the United States’ professional sector to Indian workers, just as investors used free trade deals to outsource much of the nation’s blue collar manufacturing sector to Chinese workers, say many of the American graduates who have seen the contract workers change their careers.

The international trade in Indian labor — and its planned impact on American graduates — is hidden from the public by the establishment media’s sympathy for migrants and immigration. For example, two reporters at the Los Angeles Times recently ignored the visa worker business in an article about Trump’s April 22 proclamation.

The media veil over the programs also hides much corruption as U.S. and Indian managers effectively trade residency and green cards for cheap labor and cash payments. With help from the media, DHS  exposed some of the corrupt deals, but the major problems are overwhelmingly among Indian managers and workers, in part, because the U.S.-India Outsourcing Economy is so important to the Fortune 500 companies.

A huge cause of corruption is the huge cultural and economic gap between the United States and India, but also because the executives can conduct business in the U.S. and regions of India. In contrast, the technological payoff from hiring Chinese to take science jobs from male and female American graduates may be large.

GOP Rep. Paul Gosar, (R-Ariz.), is pushing the issue in Congress.

US Government Report Concludes Wuhan Lab ‘Most Likely Source’ Of COVID-19 Outbreak

US Government Report Concludes Wuhan Lab ‘Most Likely Source’ Of COVID-19 Outbreak

Update (0855ET): Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told Fox News on Wednesday that the US knows that the pandemic began in Wuhan, but that China still refuses to disclose information about their facilities and is engaging in ‘classic communist disinformation.’

He added that the CCP must be held accountable.

*  *  *

A US government analysis leaked to the Washington Times concludes that the Wuhan Institute of Virology or the Chinese CDC is the "most likely" source of the COVID-19 pandemic which has killed over 200,000 people worldwide in roughly four months.

The document, compiled from open sources and not a finished product, says there is no smoking gun to blame the virus on either the Wuhan Institute of Virology or the Wuhan branch of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, both located in the city where the first outbreaks were reported. –Washington Times

And while we may not have a smoking gun proving that COVID-19 escaped from the Wuhan lab, "there is circumstantial evidence to suggest such may be the case," according to the report.

Also, it’s perhaps the world’s easiest game of connect-the-dots;

Stored away and forgotten until January this year, the sample from the horseshoe bat contains the virus that causes Covid-19. -WSJ

  • Peng Zhou, WIV’s head of Bat Virus Infection and Immunization, was researching "the molecular mechanism that allows Ebola and SARS-associated coronaviruses to lie dormant for a long time without causing diseases," while a press release from his lab was titled "How bats carry viruses without getting sick."
  • Zhou’s colleague, Shi Zhengli, has been involved in bioengineering bat coronaviruses – co-authoring a controversial 2015 paper which described the creation of a new virus by combining a coronavirus found in Chinese horseshoe bats with another that causes human-like severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) in mice.
  • In 2015, Nature magazine expressed concern over Zhengli’s experiments with bat coronavirus. The same year, the US government suspended funding to the lab  due to their concern over risks of experimenting with bat coronavirus.
  • Meanwhile, the US State Department warned over safety standards at the Wuhan lab in a series of cables beginning in 2015, according to the Washington Post‘s Josh Rogin.

What’s more, while the Wuhan Institute of Virology is located around 20 miles from the wet market where roughly 40% of the original outbreaks occurred, China’s CDC is located roughly 900 feet away as the bat flies.

Again, this doesn’t take Matlock to solve.

"All other possible places of the virus’s origin have been proven to be highly unlikely," the government document concludes – a copy of which was obtained by the Times.

Chinese authorities have said the origin of the virus is unknown but initially stated that it came from animals at a “wet market” in Wuhan where exotic meat is butchered and sold. They said the virus may have jumped from bats to animals sold at the market last year and then infected humans.

U.S. officials have grown increasingly skeptical of that version of events. President Trump confirmed this month that “a lot of people” are investigating the origin. Army Gen. Mark A. Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said U.S. intelligence agencies are investing whether the virus escaped from a lab or was the result of a naturally occurring outbreak. -Washington Times

"The most logical place to investigate the virus origin has been completely sealed off from outside inquiry by the CCP," the document reads, referring to the Chinese Communist Party – which has taken ‘draconian’ steps to control information regarding the virus since January.

"A gag order to both places was issued on Jan. 1, 2020, and a major general from the PLA who is China’s top military microbiologist essentially took over the [Wuhan Institute of Virology] since mid-January."

A medical doctor named Wu Xiaohua has launched an online campaign to expose the work of Shi Zhengli – who Wu claims used lab animals to test the virus which could infect humans. One of those animals, suggests Wu, may have been the origin of the pandemic.

Wu also suggested that animals from the WIV weren’t properly disposed of, and in some cases were sold as pets. According to the report, lab workers reportedly boiled and ate used laboratory eggs.

"Wu’s charges of WIV management negligence are specific and have not been convincingly rebutted by WIV," claims Wu.

Shi, meanwhile, said "I promise with my life that the virus has nothing to do with the lab," in response to the accusations.

Patient Zero?

Another piece of evidence contained in the government memo is the disappearance of WIV lab worker Huang Yanling, who some suspect is "patient zero."

"Huang worked at WIV but she is the only WIV employee whose biography, profile and picture have been deleted by WIV on its website, fueling speculation of foul play," reads the report.

The institute, meanwhile, claims that Huang is healthy and left the institute to work in another province.

That said, "Huang herself has never appeared in public and she has since disappeared," according to the report – which notes that China’s internet has been abuzz with speculation as to her whereabouts.

Amid the controversy, China has imposed restrictions on all publications regarding the origins of COVID-19, while many have claimed the virus couldn’t have come from the lab.

Yuan Zhiming, director of the Wuhan Institute of Virology, stated publicly this month that “there is no way this virus came from us.”

Edward Holmes, an evolutionary virologist at the University of Sydney in Australia, said there is no evidence that the virus that causes COVID-19 in humans “originated in a laboratory in Wuhan, China.”

He said the bat virus kept at the Wuhan Institute of Virology was sampled from a different province and that the genome sequence divergence between that virus, RaTG13, and SARS-CoV-2 “is equivalent to an average of 50 years (and at least 20 years) of evolutionary change.”

“Hence, SARS-CoV-2 was not derived from RaTG13,” he wrote in a piece for the Science Media Center.  -Washington Times

The Times also notes that several academic papers have concluded that no evidence exists that the virus was manufactured in a lab, however the question of whether it was a natural virus which may have escaped is still the subject of heated debate.

China, meanwhile, is blaming the United States – and has suggested that the US Army or the CIA developed the virus and covertly released it in China. Chinese research fellow Shi Yi of the Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, said that it’s too early to make a judgement on the allegations.

The remarks came amid circulating reports alleging that the Fort Detrick laboratory, which handles high-level disease-causing materials such as Ebola, in Fredrick, Maryland, may be the origin of the deadly novel coronavirus, which has infected more than 2.6 million Americans with nearly 20,000 deaths as of 4:30 pm Thursday.

The lab was ordered to shut down in July 2019, reportedly for multiple causes, including failure to follow local procedures and a lack of periodic recertification training for workers in the biocontainment laboratories.

Some other posts on social media platforms also alleged that a US armed diplomatic driver and cyclist who was in Wuhan in October 2019 for the cycling competition in the Military World Games, could be patient zero for COVID-19 in Wuhan. –Global Times (state-owned)

Meanwhile, China has threatened Australia with severe economic consequences if they continue to investigate the origins of the pandemic.

On Monday, Chinese Ambassador Cheng Jingye told Sky News  that while China’s response may not have been "perfect," Australia’s inquiry was "dangerous," and could lead to Chinese consumers avoiding Chinese exports and travel.

So what is being done by the Australia side?" asked Cheng. "The proposition is a kind of teaming up with those forces in Washington and to launch a kind of political campaign against China."

"The Chinese public is frustrated, dismayed and disappointed with what Australia is doing now," said Cheng. "I think in the long term… if the mood is going from bad to worse, people would think ‘Why should we go to such a country that is not so friendly to China?’ The tourists may have second thoughts."

Perhaps it’s because, according to the Daily Telegraph, "the Five Eyes intelligence agencies of Australia, Canada, NZ, UK and US, are understood to be looking closely at the work of a senior scientist at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, Peng Zhou," spent three years working at the Australian Animal Health Laboratory between 2011 and 2014, where he was sent by China to complete his doctorate.

During this time, Zhou arranged for wild-caught bats to be transported alive by air from Queensland to the Australian Animal Health Laboratory in Victoria where they were euthanised for dissection and studied for deadly viruses.

His work was funded jointly by the CSIRO and the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

It examined bat immunology and the role of interferons and how “bats are rich reservoirs for emerging viruses, including many that are highly pathogenic to humans and other mammals” and “many of which cause significant morbidity and mortality in humans and other mammals.” –Daily Telegraph

Western intelligence is also looking into Shi Zhengli, who also spent time in Australia as a visiting scientist from February 22 to May 21, 2016 – where she "used faecal samples of horseshoe bats to identify that they were the natural host for SARS-like coronaviruses," according to the Telegraph report.

Need any more dots?

Bill de Blasio: NYPD Will Arrest Jewish Mourners Violating Social Distancing

Mayor Bill de Blasio promised to arrest Jewish mourners not adhering to social distancing decrees following Tuesday’s funeral for Rabbi Chaim Mertz in New York City.

De Blasio took to Twitter with his threat of a “zero tolerance” approach against violations of the city’s social distancing directives, ostensibly as responsive measures to the coronavirus outbreak.

Something absolutely unacceptable happened in Williamsburg tonite: a large funeral gathering in the middle of this pandemic. When I heard, I went there myself to ensure the crowd was dispersed. And what I saw WILL NOT be tolerated so long as we are fighting the Coronavirus,” wrote de Blasio.

De Blasio added, “My message to the Jewish community, and all communities, is this simple: the time for warnings has passed. I have instructed the NYPD to proceed immediately to summons or even arrest those who gather in large groups. This is about stopping this disease and saving lives. Period.”

The Yeshiva World reported that de Blasio went to the funeral with New York City Police Department officers to break up the crowd of hundreds that turned out for Mertz’s funeral.

Freddi Goldstein, de Blasio’s press secretary, derided the funeral procession as “absolutely unacceptable.”

De Blasio’s comments came on the same day as an air show put on by the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds in tribute to medical professionals dealing with the coronavirus outbreak.

The New York Post reported:

The New York Metro area blew off social distancing Tuesday, with hundreds packed shoulder-to-shoulder to catch a glimpse of the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds as they roared overhead in a tribute to coronavirus frontline workers.

Photos from throughout the region show large crowds jammed together in waterfront parks and venues in New York and New Jersey, looking skyward for a glance at the famous jets.

There was little local officials could do to stop them.

De Blasio did not threaten the gathering onlookers of the air show with arrest.

Quest Diagnostics Begins Selling COVID-19 Antibody Tests

At some point in this coronavirus pandemic, who has the COVID-19 becomes less important as who has had the disease.

Experts say that those who have been exposed to SARS-CoV-2 build antibodies, and while there’s some dispute as to whether those already infected can catch the virus again, some studies show those infected could have immunity, at least for a period of time.

Now, Quest Diagnostics, a nationwide testing company, is offering a new antibody test for $119 (or potentially less if you have insurance).

“This test checks for a type of antibody called immunoglobulin G (IgG) that is the result of past or recent exposure to COVID-19, also known as the novel coronavirus,” Quest explains. “The human body produces IgG antibodies as part of the immune response to the virus. It usually takes around 10 to 18 days to produce enough antibodies to be detected in the blood.”

Test results may help identify if you were previously exposed to the virus and, if exposed, can check whether or not your body has produced antibodies. Antibodies typically suggest protective immunity after you’ve recovered or been exposed to COVID-19. However, evidence is still being collected to determine if IgG antibodies provide protective immunity against SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19 infection.

  • If you were never diagnosed with COVID-19, this test can help determine if you may have been previously exposed to the virus.
  • If you were diagnosed with COVID-19, this test can check whether or not your body has produced antibodies.

“With the introduction of this test and service, Quest is making it easy for people to access quality testing for antibodies to the virus which causes COVID-19, with access to physician interpretation and steering into needed care,” said Jay Wohlgemuth, M.D., Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer for Quest Diagnostics. “While the science on COVID-19 is evolving, testing for antibodies may identify people who have likely been exposed to COVID-19 and might have mounted an immune response to the virus.  Our goal is to empower individuals and their physicians to make informed decisions about their risk of infection and of spreading the virus.”

Experts say the novel coronavirus shows no symptoms in as many as 50% of those infected. So while nearly a million Americans have tested positive for the virus, according to Johns Hopkins Center for Systems Science and Engineering, millions more may have already had the virus but never knew.

A recent antibody study in New York City found that 1 in 5 (21.2%) of residents have already been infected with the coronavirus, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said last week. With 8.5 million people in New York City, that means more than 1.8 residents in New York City may have had the virus.

The study tested 3,000 New York residents across the state — at grocery and big-box stores — for antibodies. “What we found so far is that the statewide number is 13.9% tested positive for having the antibodies,” Cuomo said. “What does it mean? They were infected three weeks ago and four weeks ago and five weeks ago or six weeks ago,” Cuomo said. “They have the virus and they developed the antibodies and they are recovered.”

“What you do in a place with 21% is very different,” he said. “The facts dictate the action.”

There have been other studies, some of them unscientific. In a random study of 200 residents on a single street in Chelsea, Massachusetts, about a third of participants tested positive for coronavirus, according to researchers. The random study does not prove anything, but “still, it’s kind of sobering that 30 percent of a random group of 200 people that are showing no symptoms are, in fact, infected,” Thomas Ambrosino, Chelsea’s city manager, told the Boston Globe.

Another study by Stanford University found the number of people infected with coronavirus could be tens of times higher than previously thought. The study “tested samples from 3,330 people in Santa Clara county and found the virus was 50 to 85 times more common than official figures indicated,” The Guardian reported.

“In a startling finding, new Stanford research reveals between 48,000 and 81,000 people in Santa Clara County alone may already have been infected by the coronavirus by early April — that’s 50 to 85 times more than the number of official cases at that date,” The Mercury News reported.

Horowitz: Illinois health director: Anyone with ‘COVID-positive diagnosis’ listed as COVID-19 death

If someone who tested positive for coronavirus gets into a deadly car crash and then dies in the emergency room, is that counted as a COVID-19 death?

I never thought we’d have to ask that question, but in light of new comments from Illinois’ director of public health, it appears this is a serious question.

On April 19, Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker was asked at a press conference about a reported death in the state of a teenager and whether that individual had “underlying conditions.” The governor turned the microphone over to Public Health Director Dr. Ngozi Ezike, and her answer revealed a shocking point that should cast doubt on a certain unknown percentage of the stated coronavirus deaths.

“I don’t have that information at my disposal at this time; I know we have had people of all age groups die,” replied Dr. Ezike. Then she gave out more information than the reporter asked for, and what she said should set off all sorts of alarm bells about the accuracy of the death count.

“I just want to be clear in terms of the definition of people dying of COVID,” said Dr. Ezike. “So, the case definition is very simplistic. It means at the time of death, it was a COVID-positive diagnosis. So that means that if you were in hospice and had already been given a few weeks to live and then you also were found to have COVID, that would be counted as a COVID death. It means that, technically even if you died of a clear alternate cause, but you had COVID at the same time, it’s still listed as a COVID death. So, everyone who is listed as a COVID death doesn’t mean that that was the cause of the death, but they had COVID at the time of death. I hope that’s helpful.” (Emphasis added.)

There it is! Dr. Ezike was abundantly clear that anyone who dies who also happened to have COVID-19 would be counted as a COVID-19 death, even if they didn’t necessarily die of that or even “died of a clear alternate cause.” As such, some unknown number of the nearly 2,000 deaths ascribed to COVID-19 in Illinois likely fit this description.

Several weeks ago, I called attention to the fact that Dr. Birx and the CDC guidelines were indicating this same method of counting, but Facebook flagged my article as “false.”

Now we know the truth. We’re not only talking about people who have asthma or diabetes but clearly had many years to live, who then come in deathly sick with their lungs filled up. It certainly makes sense, in such a case, to count the deceased as a COVID-19 death. What doesn’t make sense is to count anyone with heart failure or a stroke as a COVID-19 death simply because they tested positive.

There is a clear political incentive for the media and politicians to increase the death numbers as high as possible in order to justify the lockdown. There is also a financial incentive for hospitals to label a patient as a COVID-19 patient in order to get a 20% higher reimbursement rate from Medicare.

However, it’s clear that there is also a third factor driving the eagerness to liberally ascribe deaths to COVID-19, and it has to do with the psychology of some of those treating these patients. In the self-fulfilling prophecy doubling down on wrong data about the fatality rate, doctors initially thought the virus was rarer than it truly was and therefore more deadly. Thus, it made sense if you saw someone die and test positive for COVID-19 … well, it must be because of COVID-19.

However, now we know that this disease likely spread to tens of millions of people and the case fatality rate in general is somewhere near 0.2%. Thus, it’s reasonable to suspect that a large number of those who come in with multiple morbidities that clearly have nothing to do with COVID-19 were not killed by the virus. This is likely doubly true in the hospital where, because of the degree of contagion, many patients who exhibited no signs of respiratory illness will wind up catching the virus and therefore test positive for it. Thereafter, if they die, it will now be chalked up to coronavirus.

The big question is: What percentage of the official death count of 53,000 nationwide is false? Heart attacks, hypertension, and stroke don’t cease to exist because of the virus. Clearly, an unknown number of deaths had nothing to do with the virus. After all, they are even counting all the hospice deaths in Illinois!

States like Pennsylvania have already had to revise deaths downward when too many people had been included in the COVID-19 count without proper evidence.

“We are being pressured in house to add COVID to the diagnostic list when we think it has nothing to do with the actual death,” revealed Dr. Dan Erickson, the emergency room physician who claimed in a viral video that hospital administrations are pressuring doctors to sign autopsy death causes as COVID-19.

Last night, I broke the news on Twitter, while researching this article, that Dr. Erickson’s viral video has been taken down from YouTube.

Now we know we are on to the truth.

Fact Check: Media’s Claim That Trump Caused Higher Rate of Poison Control Calls Is Fake News

President Donald Trump’s recommendation of chloroquine as a potential treatment for COVID-19 is still colored, as far as the media is concerned, because a couple decided drinking aquarium cleaner with an ingredient that sounded very similar to the drug was indeed a substitute for the actual drug.

They were wrong and, tragically, one of them ended up dying.

When the president suggested (yes, sarcastically, no matter what you want to say) that disinfectant could be used to kill the coronavirus, a whole lot of heck broke loose. It was irresponsible, the media said. But to prove it was irresponsible, the media also had to prove that someone actually acted on this ludicrous information by imbibing poison at Trump’s suggestion.

Thankfully, this wasn’t to difficult for Trump critics to believe. Sure, they knew enough to not inject bleach, but the proles will do anything that Trump says, and we have to look out for them. Evidence? Oh yeah, there’s a higher rate of poison control calls!

See — proof! #Science! Disagree with that, Trumpbots.

The problem with the #science people is that actual science beats hashtag-science, assuming someone bothers to get to it. Over at Reason, senior editor Elizabeth Nolan Brown did. It turns out there’s no proof Trump’s Lysol moment had anything to do with an increase in calls to poison control.

Reason, it should be pointed out, is a libertarian mag with little love toward the current president. Trust me — if our country’s most powerful politician made a comment that people should consider injecting poison into their veins and they did it, Reason would enjoy little more than skewering him.

But the evidence — remember that stuff? — did not lead in that direction. Yes, calls to poison control are up. The problem for the media, Brown reported, is that calls to poison control have been up since March, when things involving the coronavirus got very real.

Brown took one example of the phenomenon, a New York Daily News article titled “A spike in New Yorkers ingesting household cleaners following Trump’s controversial coronavirus comments.”

RELATED: Politico Silently Edits False Story on Trump Being Indebted to Chinese Bank – And It’s Still Wrong

“But the article makes no mention of anyone deliberately consuming household cleaners. It simply states that 30 people called the city’s poison control hotline ‘over fears that they had ingested bleach or other household cleaners,’” Brown reported. “Fearing that you ingested something doesn’t jibe with having intentionally consumed that substance.

“The authors of the Daily News piece, Anna Sanders and Chris Sommerfeldt, try to circumvent this inconvenient fact by noting that over the same time period in 2019, the Poison Control Center ‘only handled 13 similar cases.’ And while this time, nine calls were about possible Lysol exposure and 10 about bleach, last year’s calls contained ‘no cases reported about Lysol exposure and only two were specifically in regards to bleach.’”

Perhaps most importantly, none of the people who called poison control required hospitalization or died. Generally speaking, injecting or imbibing bleach will end in those circumstances, so we can safely say none of this happened. And yes, many of these calls involved household disinfectants. Can you think of one cleaning item we’ve been using more of since last year? It’s slipping my mind.

Another story from WDRB.com out of Kentucky also made the rounds.

“Poison control centers around the country, including here in Kentucky, are seeing a spike in calls related to COVID-19,” the story stated, quoting a director of the Kentucky Poison Control Center who said that “just in March, we saw about a 30% increase in hand sanitizer exposures and about a 50% increase in household cleaners.”

You may perhaps see the problem there: Trump made his remarks in April.

There were other articles that chronicled “a nine percent increase in calls for accidental poisoning from home cleaning supplies” from Michigan in March and “calls for toxic exposure to hand sanitizers have nearly doubled since the same time in 2018,” over the past six weeks in Maryland.

“In addition, the MD Control Center has had 95 calls for bleach exposure, more than double last year’s 46 calls in the same time period,” WBBF in Baltimore reported.

Do you think Trump will win re-election despite media smears like this?

The time period suggests this had nothing to do with the “Lysol remarks.” (Trump, it must be noted, never used the brand-name “Lysol,” but there’s also ample evidence Jim Jones used an off-brand of sugar-water called Flavor Aid to mix his cocktail of death down in Jonestown and we don’t call it “drinking the Flavor Aid,” so we’re going to guess Trump’ll be saddled with that Lysol thing forever.)

However, that’s not going to sell your editor on what’s essentially just a boring story compiling statistics from the state poison control center, so this is all about the Lysol remarks. But don’t call this fake news, because these reporters are the fearless truth-tellers we need at a moment like this.

And yet, for publications so allegedly devoted to fact-checking, this is what they ended up with. Calls to poison control centers are up at a time of great cultural stress, when cleaning products like Lysol and bleach have become part of daily lives. The president made a sarcastic remark about injecting or imbibing disinfectant. Is there something to connect the two together? No?

To paraphrase William Randolph Hearst, you furnish the connection, they’ll furnish the outrage.

Judge Rules Against Illinois Governor’s Stay-at-Home Order

A judge has ruled that Illinois Republican state Rep. Darren Bailey can be exempt from Democratic Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s stay-at-home order in a decision that Bailey said should open the floodgates for others to sue for their freedom.

Clay County Circuit Court Judge Michael McHaney on Monday issued a temporary restraining order that allows Bailey to disregard Pritzker’s order.

The judge ruled that Bailey “has shown he has a clearly ascertainable right in need of immediate protection, namely his liberty interest to be free from Pritzker’s order to quarantine in his own home.”

The ruling said the legislator has shown “he will suffer irreparable harm” without the temporary restraining order being issued and has “a reasonable likelihood of succeeding” on the merits of his argument.

Bailey had said Pritzker’s order was “in excess of the authority granted him” under Illinois law, according to Fox News.

The legislator had argued that although Pritzker had the right to impose restrictions for 30 days, he did not have the legal standing to extend stay-at-home laws past that date.

On Monday, Pritzker loosened the restrictions Bailey had attacked but also extended his overall stay-at-home order through May 30, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Bailey encouraged his constituents to follow his lead in challenging the governor’s restrictions.

“This is just me, but anybody can follow suit,” he said, according to WMAG-TV.

“If people want to, if anyone wants to file any kind of similar suit in their home county or in their circuit, they can certainly do that,” Bailey said, according to the Tribune. “What I’m doing is challenging the constitutionality of the governor, of what he’s been doing.”

Bailey said the issue was not whether staying at home would be sound health policy but Pritzker’s use of his power.

“He is going to lose his power. This is the right thing,” the lawmaker said. “This is the law of the land, and I will contend that areas of the state would be better served through local control.”

Bailey said the economic damage from the state’s stay-at-home order might be worse than the disease it was issued to address.

“Our governor has created a second pandemic that I believe is going to be more far-reaching than the COVID-19 situation,” he said.

Bailey, whose district covers southern Illinois, said he gets calls from constituents who are “overwhelmed, scared to death, not of the COVID-19 virus, but of their livelihoods.”

“Still today, we’re getting calls of people that cannot get through to unemployment, and that’s what’s taking a toll in some of these more rural districts,” the legislator said. “That’s what the governor needs to be focused on.”

Pritzker attacked Bailey for his actions.

“People are in danger as a result of this ruling, of the judge’s ruling of the suit that was brought by Darren Bailey,” he said, according to the Tribune.

“We certainly are going to act in a swift fashion to try to have this ruling overturned, certainly put a stay in place,” the governor said. “I mean it’s, frankly, it’s insulting, it’s dangerous, and people’s safety and health has now been put at risk.

“There may be people who contract coronavirus as a result of what Darren Bailey has done now.”

In a statement on his website, Bailey said Pritzker has focused on Chicago at the expense of the rest of the state.

“The message is clear, we are not Chicago and we already distance ourselves just by our rural life styles. Why should we be punished with the loss of jobs and closing our businesses when the coronavirus emergency isn’t the same for us?” he said. “This one-size-fits-all mentality needs to be reviewed and take into account our diversity from urban to rural areas of the state.

“The governor’s executive orders to social distance and stay home to work when you are able has had a flattening of the curve for the cities and that’s good.

“But in our area, the low numbers of cases reinforces the fact that we do not need the heavy hand of government to tell us to use our common sense. It was the actions of people who wouldn’t stay home in Chicago for St. Patrick’s Day celebrating that triggered these executive orders, not the actions of teachers or farmers or small business owners in southern Illinois.”

Outrageous! FOX News Cuts Ties with Diamond and Silk After Questioning Coronavirus Numbers

FOX News cut ties with the popular conservative duo Diamond and Silk recently after their comments on coronavirus.

The Daily Beast, who broke the story, says the ladies were promoting “conspiracy theories” on the coronavirus. The two sisters were favorites of Trump supporters and President Trump. They appeared with President Trump at several rallies throughout the years.

The sisters alleged that the coronavirus deaths were inflated to make Donald Trump look bad. In Pennsylvania last week the governor had to remove 269 fake covid deaths from the state totals. In New York state they added 3,700 covid deaths to their totals that included “presumed” cases.

So Diamond and Silk are banned for promoting “conspiracy theories” but Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx are NOT banned after over estimating coronavirus deaths by 30 fold and destroying the US economy?
How does that work.

President Trump retweeted his support for Diamond and Silk today.

CNN’s creepy Oliver Darcy is mentioned in this report.

Newsweek reported:

Lynnette Hardaway and Rochelle Richardson, two women respectively known as Diamond and Silk, will no longer appear on Fox News or its online streaming service Fox Nation, following their tweets and videos pushing coronavirus conspiracy theories, according to The Daily Beast.

The duo—who first rose to prominence during the 2016 election as pro-Trump YouTubershosts of “Women United for Trump” events and occasional on-stage speakers at his rallies—have since made appearances on Fox News’s Fox and FriendsWatters’ World and contributed original weekly content to Fox Nation.

Though the duo has regularly contributed five- to seven-minute-long videos to Fox Nation each week since December 18, CNN senior media reporter Oliver Darcy noted that they haven’t added any new videos since April 7, one day after the duo was briefly locked out of Twitter for a tweet telling their 1.4 million followers to defy quarantine stay-at-home orders, thus violating the microblogging platform’s policy against COVID-19 misinformation.
